Fluttershy goes to a concert with Rainbow Dash to try and find her truely special somepony. based off the story by MIKEANTHONY321. OCs exept Fluttershy's crush belong to him also. (note, please read MIKEANTHONY321's story series before reading this)
"Now how did Rainbow explain how to do this?" said Fluttershy to herself quietly. A week ago Rainbow Dash and her husband Thunder Flash had stopped by her cottage and Rainbow helped her set up an account on a dating website. Throughout the week she has had several colts add her on the site but had no clue how to use it.
*Knock knock knock*
"I wonder who that could be?"
Fluttershy went and opened the door. "Oh, hi Rainbow. What brings you here?"
The cyan pony smiled and proudly said, "I stuck Thunder with the foals tonight so we could have a girl’s night out. I mean… I had a strange feeling the website thing wasn't doing too good for you."
Fluttershy looked embarrassed. "Yeah... I can’t even figure out how to pull up the colts who add me. But… where would we go?" she asked timidly.
"I thought we could go to the Blue Star. I heard that DJ-PON3 was playing tonight, and I know there are a lot of colts looking for mares every night nursing a bottle of whiskey. Who’d be better to cheer them up than you Fluttershy!?"
"Uhm...uhhhh...."
"For Celestia's sake, come on!"
Rainbow grabbed a hold of Fluttershy’s hoof and took off flying. In a matter of minutes, they were at the club. They could hear the bass and the wubs from outside.
"I don’t know Rainbow… I don't even know what to do if I find a colt I like." said Fluttershy in a voice so quiet Rainbow could barely hear her.
Rainbow laughed. "I'll show you what to do. Let’s just go inside."
Inside the club the lights flashed shades of dark blue and purple. The band members on stage were three older-looking colts. The guitar player had long hair, the drummer was bald and the bass player singer (who was almost all muscle) had his hair pulled forward in is face but it was at a point. "Huh, I didn’t know that the Manefits were playing before DJ-PON3. Lucky day Fluttershy, you get to meet some metal-head and punk colts too!"
Fluttershy looked scared at the giant mosh pit in the front by the stage. "Do they have to hit each other like that?"
Rainbow got a look in her eyes that Fluttershy recognized right away. Before she could run her legs still moving, Rainbow lifted her off the ground and flew to the pit, dangling Fluttershy about five feet above the anarchy
"Get ready to have the best time of your life Fluttershy!"
Fluttershy looked down into the carnage and Rainbow began to count.
"One, two, THREE!!"
Fluttershy, too scared to use her wings, screamed as she fell on top of the other ponies who caught her and began carrying her to the stage. She was thrown on stage just as they finished a song. The pony playing bass and singing looked at her and announced. "This next song is dedicated to this frightened pony on stage. It’s called Hybrid Moments! …1,2,3,4!!"
Rainbow picked her up off the stage and bought her a hot cup of cider to calm her down.
"Oh come on Fluttershy, you can’t say that wasn’t fun" said Rainbow with a frown.
Fluttershy began to smile. She looked over at her cyan friend.
"Ok, maybe that was a little fun."
Fluttershy noticed a colt behind Rainbow that began walking towards the bar. He walked up to Fluttershy.
"Can I buy you a drink?" he asked very politely.
Fluttershy looked him down. He had a dark green coat and blue hair that looked dyed. He wore it almost exactly how Pinkie’s hair looks when she’s sad and depressed. His wings folded at his sides, and a pile of safety pins was his cutie mark.
"Sure" said Fluttershy very shyly.
The colt smiled, and looked at the bartender.
"Aye, barkeep! Two peach ciders here."
The bartender got their bottles, and the colt put the bits on the counter and looks over at Fluttershy.
"So, what’s a pretty lady like you doing in a place like this?"
"Oh, well my friend Rainbow took me out on a girl’s night out tonight."
"Well what do you think?"
"It’s kind of chaotic, but I’m having fun. I haven’t actually been this much out of my shell since flight school."
"I could tell you were the shy type. I’m extremely shy myself. I saw you walk in, and I wanted to talk to you, but it took me this long to gather up the guts." The colt smiled and turned bright red.
"Well, I think you’re a very nice colt Mr...?"
"Freedom. And you are?"
"My name’s Fluttershy." Fluttershy was strongly feeling the effects of the ciders she drank and looked over to Freedom.
"I think I’m going to have Rainbow take me home; maybe I’ll see you again soon, Freedom."
"Same to you, Miss Fluttershy." He smiled.
Rainbow came back next to them and smiled drunkenly at Freedom.
"Now you *hic* take care of Fluttershy, *hic* she’s my sister, and if you hurt her, I’ll..."
Before Rainbow could finish, Fluttershy picked her up on her back, looked at Freedom, smiled, and walked out the door of the club.

The way back to Rainbow and Flash's house seemed like forever. When they arrived, Fluttershy knocked lightly. Flash answered the door. "Shh, I just got the kids to bed. Blaze was horrible to get to sleep."
"I’m just going to drop Rainbow off, she passed out."
"Why?"
"She drank about a half a case of cider."
Flash stiffens at this news.
"She was celebrating being happy with you, and she was right next me the whole time. Soarin wasn’t around."
He relaxes a little, and invites her in for some coffee.
"Sure, that sounds nice."
Fluttershy walks into the beautiful cloud house that Flash bought around the time him and Rainbow got married.
"So," asks Flash as he's making coffee. "How are your relationship difficulties going?"
"I'm still single, but I met a colt at this punk show rainbow brought me to that I really would like to see again."
"Oh really? What’s his name?"
"Freedom."
Flash froze almost as bad as he did when he found out Rainbow was drinking.
"Wow... I haven’t seen or heard from him in years…" He stood up and walked over to the cabinet, pulling out a photo album and blowing dust off the cover. He set it down on the table. The title read, ‘Childhood memories’. He opened the book and showed Fluttershy the first picture. It was a picture of Flash and Freedom as foals.
"Freedom and I go waaaay back." Chuckled Flash.
Fluttershy looked up from the picture.
"Care to tell the story?"
Flash looked at the ground.
"Sure…let me pour you another cup of coffee though…this is going to take a while."
As Flash went in to the other room, Rainbow Dash began to stir on the couch. Fluttershy could hear her talking in her sleep.
"No Blaze, put that firecracker back in the box!" She rolled over with her back to Fluttershy. Flash walked back into the room.
"Uhhh... so the story of Freedom and I. Well, when I was a very small foal, my mother’s friend moved next door from Manehatten. Something about her husband walking out on her. She was pregnant at the time, and my mother explained to me that I would have to be a good friend to the colt when it was born. I remember going to the hospital and a nurse coming into the waiting room and putting that small colt into my arms. I was only 5 at the time."
Flash stared into the picture sitting on the table and Fluttershy asked,
"Then what happened?"
Flash looked up then continued.
"Well, we took him home with us. His mother died during childbirth. She just couldn’t handle it.
So he became my new little brother. My mother named him Freedom after his grandfather and we began to grow. One day me and him went to the movies together. Some teenaged ponies were in the alleyway wearing leather jackets with metal studs, and had their manes colored and spiked up. they came up to us, and I got in a defensive stance in case I needed to protect my little "brother". Turned out they were just misunderstood ponies that had been cast away by society and just needed some change to eat. One of them became good friends with Freedom. His name was.... uhhh…"
Flash frowned.
"I can’t seem to remember."
Fluttershy noticed a picture of a small green foal with a dark blue pony wearing a leather jacket with studs and a smile on his face.
"Was it Kurio?" She asked quietly, glancing at Rainbow who started making noise in her sleep again.
Flash's face lit up.
"Yes! That’s it! After I bought those ponies some lunch, Freedom didn't want Kurio to leave. He had found out Kurio and his friends’ living conditions, and decided that they were just too nice of ponies to be sleeping in a box. So I found the nearest payphone and called mom to ask if he could stay a few nights. She said only he could come, and that his friends couldn’t. That night he ate dinner with us and we gave him the guest bedroom. Mom called me into the other room and informed me that Kurio was Freedom's real father. The next day when we woke up Kurio was gone, but there was a note on his bed. It read,
“Dear Freedom,
im not sure if you overheard me and Mrs.Flash last night but i am your father. i just wanted to say im sorry and that I didnt want to leave when I found out that your mother was carring you. but i just felt like it would be better because i felt like i was holding her back from making as much money as she could. im very pround to be the father of such a strong little colt and I cant wait to see you when your a full grown pony and i wouldnt be suprized if you got strong enough to join the wonderbolts! I love you son and you will see me again but I cant stay in one place for more than a few days. I left you my jacket in the closet and i want you to treat it with care. your grandfather gave me that coat. Ill see you when your older, I promise.

Freedom read the note with tears falling down his face. He went to the closet, and picked up Kurio's coat. He slipped it on, and there was a flash of light. He had gotten his cutie mark just from putting his father’s coat on, and he was younger than me! As we grew, his love for punk rock grew. He wanted to be just like his father. When I moved out to the outskirts of Cloudsdale, mom gave him permission to come with me. I was 20, and he was 15. Around when he turned 17, he said he was going to venture out in the world and find his dad. He left, and I haven’t seen him since."
Fluttershy looked up from the back cover.
"So that coat he was wearing…"
Flash cut her off.
“Was his fathers, yes.”
"Fluttershy?"
Both Flash and Fluttershy look over to the couch where Rainbow was sitting up, wiping sleep from her eyes.
"You need to get home. You missed angel's midnight feeding, its 2 o'clock."
Fluttershy gasped, jumped up, said her goodbyes, and rushed out the door.
Rainbow looked over at Flash
"Come to bed when you’re ready; I’m bushed."
"Ok my love. I’ll be there as soon as I clean up some things."
Rainbow trudged over and kissed him on the cheek, then stumbled to the bedroom. Flash looked out the window and sighed.
The next morning, Fluttershy woke up, got breakfast, and fed all her critter friends. But the whole time, she had something on her mind. Or should I say, somepony.
"I need to see him again." Fluttershy thought to herself.
She moped around her house for a while more, then decided to go to Sugarcube Corner for lunch. As she walked absent mindedly, she almost missed Applejack and Twilight sitting in front of the library.
"Hey Fluttershy, are you okay?" Twilight asked, concerned.
Fluttershy jumped, then realized that it was Twilight who shocked her from her thoughts.
“Yes, I’m fine. I just have a lot on my mind… I met this colt…"
Both Twilight and Applejack interrupted her.
"A colt?!"
Fluttershy smiled at their surprise.
"Yes, his name is Freedom."
Twilight and Applejack had the same look of surprise they did when Rainbow Dash performed the Sonic Rainboom.
Fluttershy's stomach rumbled, and she turned to leave.
"I'll see you guys later. I’m starving."
She left them standing with dumbfounded looks on their faces. As she approached Sugercube Corner, she was tackled by a pink blur and was greeted with Pinkie Pie's smiling face.
"Hi Fluttershy! What are you doing here on this beautiful day!?" Pinkie asked excitedly.
"Hi Pinkie. I just came for some sweetened hay fries" Fluttershy said with a smile (she hadn’t seen Pinkie for about a week).
As Pinkie turned to go get Fluttershy's order, they heard a voice come from behind them.
"Hey, put that on my tab and get me a blueberry muffin please."
They turned to see a pony wearing a leather jacket with a blue mane. He walked over to Fluttershy's table and sat down.

They sat in silence until Freedom broke the silence.
"I really never thought I'd be able to see you again."
He looked down at the crumbs on his plate, then looked directly in her eyes. "And you may not hear it much, but you have the most beautiful eyes I’ve ever seen."
Fluttershy blushed and looked up at him.
"Thanks, I think you’re very handsome yourself." She said with a small grin.
He smiled at her as Pinkie came up to their table to give them the bill. They paid, left the store, and started walking around. Not really going anywhere, just enjoying each other’s company.
"So Freedom, where are you from? I've lived in Ponyville since I was a filly and I’ve never seen you before."
He looked down at the ground, and started to tell the story that Flash had told her the night before. He added some extra details.
"When I left, I went straight to Fillydelphia and lived on the street trying to find where I really belonged. I never in my life thought I'd ever come back to Ponyville, but my job as the road hand for the Manefits had brought me back."
Fluttershy looked over at him and asked, "When was the last time you saw your brother?"
Freedom looked at the ground with a hurt look on his face. "It's been years, I doubt he even would want to see me again. I bet he feels like I deserted him."
Fluttershy sat down on a hill, and he sat next to her. They looked in the sky. She looked back over at him again
"Do you remember the rainbow-maned pony that was with me at the concert?"
He laughed. "How could I forget that drunk wreck?!" He started laughing so hard that he was rolling on the ground and gasping for air. Fluttershy smiled and stopped his rolling.
"That’s my friend Rainbow Dash. She's Flash’s wife."
He stopped laughing immediately.
"You....you mean she is my sister in law?" He asked in disbelief.
Fluttershy nodded, grabbed his hoof, and started to lift off the ground.
"Come with me. I have a surprise for you."

Elsewhere in Ponyville, Rainbow Dash and Flash were out on their own ‘hot date’. They were at the most exclusive restaurant in Ponyville, and they had just finished their meal. Rainbow smiled.
"I’m so glad that Cadence and Twi could watch the kids tonight. I really needed this."
He smiled at his wife, but sadly said,
"Yeah....me too…"
Rainbow frowned and asked what was wrong.
"It's Freedom. I can’t believe that he was in Ponyville and I didn’t even get to say hi."
At that moment Rainbow's phone buzzed. She looked at it, and saw that it was Fluttershy asking her to meet her at the library and to bring Flash with her. Rainbow smirked and thought to herself. "What does she have up her sleeve?"
They got up and started walking to the library.

(Back at the library)
Freedom and Fluttershy sat on a bench by the library waiting, but only Fluttershy knew what for. Freedom looked at her impatiently.
"What are we waiting here for? This bench reminds me of when I was homeless."
Fluttershy smiled. "You'll see."
Just then, Rainbow and Flash turned the corner and Freedom and Flash's jaws dropped at the same time as they spotted each other.
Flash and Freedom were as still as a statue as they stared at each other. Rainbow walked over to Fluttershy and sat next to her. He looked over and asked, "Do you think this was a good idea? I mean they haven't seen each other in years."
Fluttershy looked over at her cyan friend. "I hope so; if I was in their position I would be extremely happy. If I had a brother that just left one day I would love seeing him."
Flash was the first to speak. "F....Fre....Freedom? Is that really you?"
Freedom looked at the ground, looked back up, and sighed. A tear started to fall from his blue eyes as he looked up at his brother.
"Flash I never meant to hurt you, I just needed to find who I really was. I'm sorry."
As Freedom finished his sentence, Flash started laughing. He walked up to his brother and gave him a hug. After their embrace he smiled and simply said, "Welcome home."
After their reunion, Rainbow stood up and walked over to the two brothers. She smiled at Freedom and said, "Hey, I guess I’m your sister in law. I'm Rainbow Dash. Would you like to come back to the house and meet your nephews and your niece?"
Freedom perked up at that, and enthusiastically followed. Fluttershy got up and joined them. ________________________________________
When they got in the house, Fluttershy and Rainbow sat at the table as Blaze and Starlight swarmed their uncle with questions and stories of their lives. Jet started crying from his crib, so Flash went to go get him so he could introduce him to Freedom. When Flash walked back into the living room with Jet in his arms, Freedom almost fell out of his chair.
"Holy shit! He's an alicorn!"
Flash looked at his brother and sighed, knowing he had to tell him the story. He looked at Rainbow, who made an excuse for her and Fluttershy to get out of earshot of the story. It was still a sensitive subject for the both of them.
"Yeah, but he's not mine. I was sick, and couldn't go to one of our Wonderbolt celebrations, so she went alone. She got drunk, and ended up sleeping with Soarin. And then a short few months later, bam. Here came Jet."
"That doesn't explain why Jet’s an alicorn."
"Well, she represents the Element of Loyalty, and due to being one of the Elements of Harmony, she is capable of having an alicorn with her soul mate. We had a lot of fights, but… We realized that we belonged together and didn’t care that destiny said otherwise."
Freedom smiled at the young foal.
"He sure is as cute as a button."
Rainbow and Fluttershy walked back into the room and sat down on the couch. Rainbow gave Flash a concerned look.
"While me and Fluttershy were outside it started storming really badly. I think it would be best that her and Freedom stay here until it passes."
That set Blaze off.
"YES!! Uncle Freedom gets to sleep in my room!"
Then Starlight jumped in with him. "Then that means Fluttershy gets to sleep in my room!!"
Rainbow gave them a stern look.
"Now kids, you know you would keep them up all night. And anyway we kind of interrupted their date, so why don’t you guys go to bed so they can be alone for a bit?"
They both groaned, but obeyed their mother’s orders. Rainbow grabbed Jet from Flash and went to get him fed and put back to sleep. Flash looked at the two and said, "You guys can have the guest room at the end of the hall. There’s a bathroom in there so you won’t have to walk all over the house in the middle of the night. Goodnight, and have fun."
He laughed as he left the room. Fluttershy and Freedom sat alone in the living room, the only sounds coming from their breathing and the pitter patter of rain on the windows. Freedom turned on the T.V. and started a movie. Then he broke the silence.
"Hey Fluttershy, if you were a pirate would you rather have a parrot on this shoulder?" He put his hoof on her shoulder closest to him. "Or this one?" Then put his arm around her. She blushed and said, "Oh, definitely the one it’s on right now." She snuggled up to his side.
Halfway through the movie Fluttershy had fallen asleep snuggled close to Freedom's side. He yawned and carefully stood up, careful not to wake her, and stretched.
"Sweet Celestia, she is really beautiful." He thought to himself. "I can't just leave her here alone."
He walked over and shook her, lightly waking her.
"Fluttershy, let’s go get some sleep. It's really late."
She looked up groggily and said quietly, "Carry me?"
He smiled as she fell asleep before she got done saying "me", so he picked her up on his back and carried her into the guest bedroom his brother had told him about. It had a bed and a couch, so he carefully lied her down on the bed and then walked over to the couch and got comfortable. He fell asleep with a smile on his face for the first time in years.
