Rainbow Dash was at Twi's house one day, but a spell go wrong gives her... a horn? Knowing Dash's personality everypony wonders if she's going to destroy Equestria with stunts, Go insane like Nightmare Moon, use her hefty powers for good or be mentally broken down and banished (MOOON!).
A blinding light consumes three quarters of a quaint Equestrian village. Rainbow Dash an Twilight lay collapsed on the ground of the large library. Sparks she pour out of a lavender horn and cyan feathers blanket the floor. "owwww..."a snap and bang follow Rainbow's getting up. Splintered wood and thorns were covering the the area rug. All that is heard is a thump, right next to Twilight's vanity.
"Well, I fixed the chair... Rainbow? Are you okay? I should have just called the carpenter."
"Rainbow.... ah you allright, sugah cube? "
"Heyheyhey? Dashie?..."
Dash heaved herself off the floor. "What happened...?" Rainbow again, saw herself in the mirror, and she was a true spectacle. There was a large horn protruding from her skull, in place of a blank forehead. She also soared over the other mares, and her wings and muzzle were longer. Befuddled she said, "Twilight. Get a magic book, and the princess."
I'm about 20% cooler than usual. That's what bounced in the cranium of the alicorn for say, the next 9 minutes.

In the rustic castle, the Princesses did not dwarf the turquoise pony as they usually did, as she was taller than them. Luna did not mutter a world while Celestia kept a blank face, but the aura around her was, exited. That wasn't the word.... hmmm.... astonished..? Not her Highness. Well, let's just move on. Luna looked a bit... jealous that the simpleton pegasus was now 2 feet taller than herself. Celestia finally spoke: " Wow, Twilight Sparkle, I never knew magic could do this.... I.... never knew even my most faithful student could.... not to offend...." Twilight blushed and nodded her head, and almost inaudibly muttered:
"Thank you Princess." After a long pause Celestia said,
" Mrs. Dash I'd like to inform you that you are an alicorn, which was was almost obvious. Also you are now immortal. So many ponies will pass, but you will never, so you must learn to contain your emotions. You must stay in the castle with us, but you are allowed visits with your friends. You will study magic with Luna and do exercise, emotional, physical and mental, with me. You got it? That was quite a brief explan-"
" Lemme get my stuff and Tank."
"Okay don't levitate anything that is not metal, your magic is very...." Dash didn't catch the last of that. She sped off faster than the wonderbolts. She was already denied earlier as she teleported, after many tries, to their training base, after she *cough* "read" Twilight's book. They said, " You might use magic to win." Spat Spitfire
" You're faster than a normal pegasus" Retorted Soarin' after Spitfire's comment. They looked a hint disappointed, but none the less, Rainbow Dash was crushed. She showed no sign of sadness. She was, now, at the least excited, as she had a job to do.
Now, magic being hard for any unicorn, Rainbow Dash found it exceptionally hard, as she was a pegasus. Being a pegasus, she had not learned magic, and not learning magic makes an alicorn's go crazy. "You have to learn magic so it doesn't go haywire" That's what she got from just about everyone. Dash never learned magic, well, you get the idea.
"LUUUUUNA, (your highness) this is SOOOOO boring!" moaned a winged magic bearer sprawled out all over the floor.
"Rainbow Dash, if you are to be an alicorn you must learn magic, or we send you to the moon or well, ....ex..execute...you...."
"WHAT?"
"See, this is why you hafta learn magic. And please excuse what I just said. (Luna, you are NOT a filly anymore.)"

"Let me explain. An alicorn's magic EASILY goes out of control. If it does that, powers even deeper inside them will be let loose. When that happens, you cannot control this magic. It may destroy towns and cities. So that's probably why." Rainbow let out a shiver. At least she doesn't use the voice. But execution... moon moooon mooooon. Mmmmmooon. That would be...
Luna looked at her with curiosity but backed away when the cyan's eye muscles spazzed a bit. Her eyes darted across the room to a frightened midnight mare. "Rainbow...." Multicolor sparks were released as the pegasus lifted into the air. Zap! "Oh.... She's gone..."
Celestia heard a pop and saw the cyan pony quivering. She saw that the sniveling one get a drink and and sandwich.
"Harder than" sip "You thought" sip "Hmm? Rainbow?" sip Celestia loved tea. Especially earl gray tea from her Keurig... well.. that's beside the point. "Rainbow, you've done well, learning to teleport so quickly. Even if by mistake. You may take a rest, for today. Now, any questions?"
"Yeah sweetie, Howa 'bout I do something. Or- omigosh! Sorry I don't know were that came from..."
" Hmmm... Remember Nightmare Moon? That's what it was. It goes in through the horn and out the same. You have to cope with being the only alicorn not doing anything. Us alicorns get very antsy when not doing something... I'll see that you get some task."
"Yes ma'am. Or.. your highness... or princess. Whichever you prefer."
"None, thank you. You are a princess, or godess. You do need not to adress me like that. Celestia gave a curt nod, and dismissed a bit of a dismayed Rainbow Dash.
Plip plip. wet marks were the trail behind a moping unicorn. Feather were slipping off of blue wings dragging on the waxed floor. Drooping, the magic-y horse plopped herself into the royal suite. Plip pli drip plip Small drops form in her bloodshot eyes, as she got no sleep the night before. They swept the green hair on her magical, flowing tail, like dewdrops on morning grass. "What am I to do..? P-please help me. How did that happen... Who was that that was talking through me...I can't do any..." She nodded off. A Shadowed figure was in her doorstep, but not noticed by a snoozing pegasus.
Rainbow could have sworn she heard a voice before she fell asleep. Tank came zooming through the room and into the crackled wall.
"Tank, I thought you got lost! This place is huuuuge!" She giggled. She, out of nowhere, heard an accent. A familiar accent. Coming from... the throne room. She put her ear to the door and listened in on the conversation.
"How is Rainbow, doing fine? If so, that would be most divine."
"Of, course Zecora, she is well rested. I'm pretty sure she is still asleep. I haven't risen the sun yet, so it didn't show through the window. That wakes everypony up."
"Your Highness, that is most impressive, is Rainbow not yet that obsessive?"
"Thankfully not. She has minimal items, and is not completely taken over by jealousy. Those items would give her a sense of protection in that stage..."
"That means all is good, she is the way she should." With that, the zebra was trotting off.
Rubbing her eyes, Dash moseyed into the hall, confused about the conversation. She wasn't supposed to be there. With that, she told herself she should keep quiet.
"Morning, Celestia" The cloud colored pony just smiled. The smell of pancakes drifted from the kitchen and snuck through the castle. Dash sauntered into the eatery, and saw something that surprised her. Astonished, shocked and left her flabbergasted.
"Mom...?"
"Hi dear! How are you doing? I didn't think you'd find out this early...."
"You're a unicorn.... and a cook...? Wings... Dad... what?
"Big hair, lessons, Rarity's Mom, real Dad."
"I understand... That's why you didn't fly.... no accident, with no watchamacallit...why you stayed inside...didn't pay the maid...."
"Thanks dear." Rainbow just stood there, blinking, and amazingly... pondering. Not a Dash thing.
"You were in the doorstep. And it was you in town with the cloak, behind Zecora... No one noticed you though...lousy camera crew." "But..." sniff "forget it. It'll happen to everypony but me, Luna and Celsetia. Her Mother's face was a tinge sad, but you'd have to look deep behind skin to see it. "Can I borrow that cloak?"

A wild pony was scootering through Ponyville. "Oh, hi Zecora!" She smiled, but the zebra just walked behind the filly.
"I bet you'd never guess. Who is avoiding your caress."
"Rainbow Dash?"
"You got it! I'd better work on accents..."
"Omigosh! Rainbow Dash? Why are you so... tall?" She started to unveil the mare's hood.
"Wait, squirt, no!" Too late. The sword upon her head was revealed. Ponies ran for cover upon the sight. Only Scootaloo stayed.
"What? Wh-what... Happened?"
"I can explain. Wait. No, I can't."
"You. Are. 20%coolerthanbefore! Oh my goddess. I hafta show Sweetie Belle and Applebloom! LET'S GO!"
"I need to go back to the castle. You can come..." Scootaloo looked sullen at the words Dash spoke.
"Castle...N-no.... thank you." She shuffled off with tears trailing her.
"I'm sorry, kid." Rainbow too, that day had drops falling from her scarlets. She was as disappointed as she could be. I wanted a best friend as a filly. I was an only child. And no one liked me. My parents were usually busy. Sonja, our maid hung out with me, but she spoke a different language, though. And I would have loved Scootaloo as a friend. Now she's gone. And I made her leave. I guess I'll talk to Luna. She knows how this feels. The m... I'm not gonna say it. Why am I reminding myself of childhood memories..? I need some juice.
"Rainbow Dash, you owe me some lesson time today."
"But Celestia-"
"You bailed yesterday!"
"Tank was hungry, and I really wanna do som- lemme take the sun off y- SHUT UP JEALOUSY- sorry twerp." The eldest sister scooted Rainbow across the floor of the throne room.
"Sit. now." The element of loyalty dropped on the floor like those thing with the "hands", or like Lyra.
"Now, breathe deeply."

"Hush." An air of tranquility flow through the room. Everything was calm. Sighs were heard throughout the castle and you couldn't hear Tank's whirring.
Luna's rock started to rise in the sky after many attempts of the thought of being alive for thousands of years.
"I-I can't I c-can't n-no. D-d-don't lemme think-k about t-that." A terrible case of hiccups followed their training.
"Rainbow, I'd like to inform you that your score is... 23%."
"You scored me it- lemme raise- JEALOUSY!" she smacked herself. That's the best remedy she could muster. She was covered in cuts and scrape because of this. Jealousy was fighting back, but was currently losing.
"I need to rest." Rainbow sauntered off to her room and tossed and turned for around 3 minutes. In her slumber, she had violent dreams. She dreamed, that she shoved her very best friend, Pinkie Pie, off the edge of the dragon's cavern, into Froggybottom bog so she would drown. It seemed so real, so... vivid. This was of course, Jealousy's doing, the black pony that creeps into your soul through the horn. She hated it. She hated it so much.

Dash woke up to more lessons. This morning, they were magic lessons. Thank god they weren't more with Celestia.,The mare said in her noggin.
"Hello, bearer of loyalty, today we will practice a basic levitation spell."
"....okay"
"We'll start by focusing on the object, like... that helmet."
"...sounds...okay" Dash focused, like told.
"Now, think of picking something up with hooves." Hooves. Okay.
"Fine"
"Now do that. Just in your head. Focus on the helmet, and think about lifting up." The helment was.... Klank! ...Momentarily in the air.
That time was three inches, next one was five inches, after that, nine, next, 1 foot, and finally,3 feet. "Wow. That was tiring."
"You did well, Rainbow Dash. Oh.. It should be tiring... don't worry!"
"He..heheh..."
"Um... Dash.... Hello?" Luna was in the air. She was enjoying it, but her student needed to listen.
"Put.. me down... please..?" Dash paid no attention. Zip, zero, nada.
The voice... Luna was determined. She hadn't used it in a while she would be quite a bit rust-
" RAINBOW DASH PUT ME DOWN NOW. I NEED YOU TO LISTEN OR THOU WILL HATH CONSEQUENCES BESTOWED UPON THEM." WIndows shattered, guards took cover. And there was a faint disturbance in Fluttershy's house. Rainbow immediately let go of Luna, and the princess fluttered to the ground.
"Thank you Dash. That will be enough for today. Have a nice night." Rainbow look at Luna like she had three heads. "Oh goddess, the moon!" And with that, the "nightmare" of the night scurried off.
Rainbow Dash kept waking up with more and more things in her room. They ranged from kettles to plants to even fenceposts. Whatever was putting this stuff in her room had to be stopped.
"CELESTIAAAAAAA"
"What?"
"Why is there soooo much stuff in my room?" The sun godess was quiet for many moments. Rainbow Dash heard chairs being moved downstairs. She decide to not question it.
"Is it jealousy at work again?"
"..."
"Celestia?"
"... it is."

I'm gonna kill her- don't-I'm going to ki- don't kill her-I'm- Rainbow Dash was spastically twitching in her junk fort. Her irises were minute and most of her logic had left her. If I kill her Equestria is- Don't don't no nononono- Celestia will die- no she- Her fight for sanity and Equestria was happening in a heavily guarded bedroom. She was thrashing like a dying fish.She ripped her horn through the mattress. She smashed a hoof through the stone wall. Only Pinkie- No don't kill ANYONE- everyone but- No! I- Ki-It's so dark-k. She blanked. A searing red-hot pain was on her flank. "Tia..." Dash was out like a light.
The floor was spongy. Rips streak the walls like an Ursa Minor scratching ground during a temper tantrum. "Hello? Tia? Luna? Pinkie?"
"You can't escape me Dash." A black shadow of an alicorn was slinking around the room. "Jealousy always finds you." Jealousy rammed towards the horn, too fast to react. In through the horn. That was Jealousy's policy.
"She's going to die."
Dash snuck into the throne room through the secret underground passage. What spell? Any suggestions, Jealousy- I think you should suffocate her- No I think we should just say, we should tear her apart- Let's do both.
A flash of scarlet light went to the back limbs and neck of a regal unicorn. A shriek arose from the gasping alicorn. "Oh sister, if you won't let me have the sun, I'll kindly take it from you." "Dash, I hope you know, before you kill me, no come here. I'll whisper it to you." Dash trot over to the sun goddess. "The secret is...." Dash was on the moon again. "Goddess... the old hag's good. What hag? Why am I on the moon? Oh, Dash ha! Lemme tell you something. Rainbow's eyes went blank. You lost. The voice chided. Deep in her mind, Rainbow Dash saw herself prancing with glee. She looked closer. Flames. They consumed Canterlot. There was nothing left. "Listen bucko." Thought Dash, "I can control myself if I want to. I mean. I didn't kill anyone last cider season." "Well, I am 20% more cunning than you." "Hey! That's my catchphrase!" "We'll you won't be alive for much longer, will you?" "What the-" "Never mind that. I'm hungry. Go eat for me!" "No. Marshmallow, Cotton Candy and the Bacon Bros aren't here." "We're going to Equestria." "No wai-" Poof.
"And that Luna is how-" Luna and Celestia saw a momentarily airborne wrestling match including a black alicorn and another of the species with a six color mane and cyan coat.
"Friggin-Dash are you-shut up!"
"Whoa!"
"Get out of this Luna!"
"Tia-"
"On it little sister" And the shadowy one was on the moon. Rainbow Dash looked at the princess with gratitude. Dash wondered what jealousy would do up there, but pushed away the thought of it. "Thanks biggest sister."
"Don't mention it." And that's what she said with a mischievous grin on her doll like face.
The black pony on the moon was pacing. almost as much as Twilight when upset. "I must find a way back." the pony said aloud. "But... I need a host. Somepony with a horn."

Rainbow Dash was sitting on her loft bed comfortably reading Daring Do and the Quest for the Saphire Statue for the forty-second time. "Sister? is the spirit of jealousy still on the moon?" Luna pondered the question for a while. "Yes."
Jealousy say grumpily on the spongy night rock. "I can't teleport myself.... but I can teleport others! Right! I know exactly who!" The star pony mustered up all her magic to teleport a lavender mare.
"Wha- Where? who?" Twilight Sparkle was suddenly on the surface of the moon, choking. A black pony was magicing a space helmet to the unicorn.
"Sister. I'm scared."
"Why?"
"I haven't heard from Twilight."
"Nor have I, Rainbow Dash."
"Oh.."
Jealousy had the small mare in her hooves manipulating Twilight with her eyes.
"Now, small pony you will let me use you."
"yes"
"Thank Badness."
Rainbow Dash was feeling uneasy. Princess Celestia swiveled her telescope to the moon. "I see.... Jealousy. That's good. But..." Rainbow did not need to know what was happening. The blue alicorn ran to the shelter. "Send Luna!" Shouted the white godess. The midnight pony sprinted to the castle doors. It would be so much easier if the doors were less than 30 hooves high. thought the pony that was not as alert as she should be.
Jealousy was ready to teleport through Twilight Sparkle. Jealous Twilight shouted, "I'm coming for you, little filly!"
In the shelter, there was a stuffed Pinkie Pie. She yelled "Hi Dashie!"every time you squeeze her. There were about 6 too many "Hi Dashies!" that day.
