> Ponies in Minecraft > by karlkitty456 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Applejack > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Applejack felt horrible. As if she was just slammed into a new reality. If only she new how close that theory was. "Wh- Where am I?" She said as she got up dizzily, looking around at the unfamiliar scenery. Once her gaze focused and she had found her balance she took in all the new sights around her. "What in tarnation?.." She muttered. "Why is the ground all.. Block like? That tree too..." It was then Applejack noticed a faint groaning noise up ahead. "Is that another pony? Maybe they know where the hay we are and how to get back to Ponyville." Then she trotted off toward the sound, having nothing to lose. When Applejack got to the noise she found out two things. She wasn't alone in this strange world and that there wasn't another pony near. "Mooooo!" The cow mooed obnoxiously loud at Applejack who felt her hopes drop at the fact that she was still alone. "Moping around won't fix nothing." Applejack decided. "I need to find somepony who can help me get out of here. Maybe my friends are in here too." Applejack struggled to remember what she did last in hopes of finding something out that could benefit her in any way. "Lets see.." She muttered. "I remember taking those newly bucked apples into the cellar... an' I remember helping Applebloom and her friends out with their newest cutie mark idea.." Everything after that was fuzzy to Applejack. Applejack's frustration had distracted her from the fact that the sky was slowly getting darker, and darker. "Gettin' dark out here. I should find some sorta shelter. I don't know what i'll be up against in this place." She said to herself. She quickly paces toward a nearby dip in the forest like terrain. She explored the inside to find the at the far back it suddenly stopped, making a nice little cave for shelter. "I guess this will have to do.." She sighed realizing her own drowsiness that the slowly approaching night had brought. She settled down onto the cold floor and soon fell asleep. Applejack awoke to a loud noise echoing from the front of the cave. It reminded Applejack of Rarity`s cat, Opalescence when it got angry. A sort of hissing. spitting sound. "What in tarnation.." Applejack muttered She trotted off toward the noise only to find herself face to face with what looked like a spider. The spider saw Applejack immediately and charged. "Oh no." Was all Applejack could say as she turned and ran back into the cave. Only when she reached the end did she realize that she had trapped herself. "Kshhheeeww!" It hissed angrily. Applejack didn't know what it meant although it wasn't hard to figure out that it was angry. The spider leaped and Applejack did the only thing she could think of. She whipped around and blindly bucked the air with all her might hoping for a hit. She felt a satisfying thud as her hooves connected with the spiders small head. "KSSSHhheewww.." The spider slowly hissed as it faded away leaving a small piece of string behind. "What is that?" Applejack wondered. She slowly approached it. "Eeep!" She jumped back as a small popping noise was heard and the string appeared in her hoof. "Woah" She sighed. "Is this how things work here? How do I pick up more things at once? Does this drop is a pick up another thing?" She had many questions to ask but no one to listen. She decided to test it on her own. She walked up to the cave wall, turned around and bucked the wall as hard as she could. Her result was a shudder being passed through her body and sore hooves. "Guess I can't break it. I should try something else." She said to herself. She looked around the cave and saw a different looking block on the opposite wall. It was brown instead of grey with a fleckish texture. Very different looking then the stones smooth texture. "This must be dirt." She guessed. She once again positioned herself in front of the dirt block and bucked it. She half expected another shudder like last time although when the feeling did not return she turned around to find a small piece of dirt on the ground directly below where it just was. "So I can buck dirt but not stone? I need to figure this place out.." She walked up to the dirt to find the same popping noise occur. But this time the dirt didn't appear in her hoof. She knew she must have picked it up but didn't know how to access it. She began to concentrate, trying to imagine her having the dirt with her somewhere. Almost as if she had an.. Inventory of some sort. A pack to store her items. She imagined herself holding the dirt block. Suddenly It appeared it her hand "Yee haw!" She yelled. "I think i'm finally getting the hang of this!" In a positive mood she trotted up to the entrance of the cave. She squinted in the morning sunlight then trotted off once again on her journey to find somepony. Applejack had discovered many things along her journey. There were also Pig, Sheep, and Chickens. She also encountered more of the spider creatures, along with many other creatures trying to harm her. Some made horrible groaning noises as they staggered toward her in their torn clothing. Others resembled a skeleton with a bow. Applejack had been lucky so far and had managed to avoid the arrows they shot at her. Applejack was now resting under a small cleft under a giant hill. "I think i'm making good time so far." She exhaustedly panted to herself. She concentrated on the apple she had found earlier this morning and it popped up in her hoof. She took a big bite. Traveling all day made her hungry. She didn't know where to find any food so she tried her luck on the nearest tree. Once she bucked the bottom all the wood of the block like tree fell showering her. She watched as the leaves slowly disintegrated, dropping small saplings and a single apple. "Not as much as I would expect from a tree this size but it should do." She had muttered. As Applejack finished off the apple she was surprised to see the core disappear. She had seen a lot of unexplainable things in the last couple days so she pushed it aside. As she settled herself down on a nearby patch of grass she started wondering if she was even going the right way. She never thought of it before and the thought of having been going the wrong way made her shiver. This hadn't been an easy journey and she would hate to have to start it over. Right then, she heard a familier flapping sound rapidly approaching. > Rainbowdash > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rainbowdash was fed up. As soon as she arrived in this strange world she knew she needed to take action. She soon figured out how to manage her inventory and how to gather food. Monsters didn't go as well. One had managed to hurt her before she realized she was in danger. Lets just say the zombie got to taste the rainbow after that. Rainbow tried to clear away the clouds once the rain started.. It didn't go well. She got soaked and plummeted through the clouds as soon as she tried to land. After that she started heading north. She needed to find her friends and get out of this place. She had been flying for a long time before she spotted a familier straw hat and blond mane relaxing on a hillside eating apples. Rainbow never flew so fast. "Rainbow?!" Applejack called out happily after getting to her hooves and racing over to the approaching pegasus. "Miss me?" She called out mockingly to her exited friend. "You don't know how long I have been waiting to see a familier face." She sighed once landing beside Applejack on the ledge. "Same here. If your here that must mean the rest of our friends are out there somewhere!" Applejack realized. "She should start searching as soon as the sun rises. Then we can figure a way out of here." She decided. "I think she should leave now." Rainbow argued. "Thats a horrible idea Rainbow. What about the monsters? We wouldn't get very far having to fight them every step of the way. They might not bother you in the sky but you won't be able to fly and leave me hangin' now." Applejack said. "I guess your right.." Rainbow agreed. "We should get some rest. We need all our strength for the morning. Then they both curled up and dozed off to sleep. When Rainbow woke up she glanced around the ledge she had fallen asleep on. It was narrow with a reasonably steep drop below. Applejack was still asleep which didn't bother Rainbow. it must have taken quite a bit of effort for her to get up here. She had probably been traveling a long way. Rainbow was happy she had the luxury of flying through this horrible place. Rainbow turned around as she heard Applejack stir in her deep sleep. "The zombie lives." Rainbow mocked playfully "Ah bet you just got up yerself." Applejack replied sleepily. "Maybe so. Anyways we should get going. I have a feeling we're close.. I say we head that way." She pointed her hoof out toward the vast forest. "I'm thinkin' so too. Well lets go." Applejack half jumped have skidded down the mountain. Rainbow flew down after her. Once they reached the bottom they raced along the the grassy ground to be met by another green, hissing creature. "Careful!" Rainbow shouted "These are the ones that explode. She picked Applejack up and dropped her on the nearest tree. "Stay up here. You need to attack these ones from a distance. Rainbow flew down with great speed and kicked the creature on top of it's large, green head. The creature fell down and a small pile of gunpowder sat floating where it once was. Applejack jumped off the tree and picked it up. "I wonder what any of this stuff does.." She muttered looking at the gunpowder in her hoof. "I bet Twilight has already found out. I bet she knows everything about this place. We need to find her and the rest of our friends. Fast." Rainbow said. "We're wasting daylight. lets keep going, Then she took off into the sky and shot off as Applejack raced on below. After a long day of traveling they decided to make a small shelter and rest. They dug a small hole in the ground and called it home. "There." Rainbow panted. "A house fit for a princess." "I don't know about a princess but two normal ponies might fight." Applejack replied. Applejack was tired from the long journey they started together today. Rainbow was lucky to be able to fly. She was able to avoid monsters and other obstacles on the ground. "I really hope we find somepony else soon." Rainbow's voice jerked Applejack away from her thoughts. "The more of us there are here together the better chance we have at finding out how to get out of here. I miss ponyville.. I bet the weather has gotten horrible without me there to keep the skys clear." "I'm sure the rest of the weather patrol can handle it. They can clear the weather just as good as you can, Rainbow." Applejack replied. "Maybe. I just miss soaring through the sky bucking the clouds into next week with my super awesome speed an-" Applejack put her hoof to Rainbow's mouth to silence her. "IT's alright Rainbow I don't need to here about how awesome you are AGAIN." Ever since applejack met up with Rainbow all she heard was Rainbow's never ending rant about how awesome she was. Applejack understood she missed it and all but it was starting to get annoying. "Hmph. Fine then. I'm going to bed your royal highness. Wake me when it's day O great one." Rainbow flopped down on the hard ground and settled off to sleep at her last word. Applejack had been trying to avoid any kind of fighting so far but Rainbow was making it near impossible. Applejack decided to leave it alone and get some rest herself. After checking the top of the cave like home for any monsters she stretched out onto the stone floor and fell asleep. Once the pair had gotten up they started walking right away. They each had been learning more and more about this place. They learned that you could place the things you picked up. The next night they built themselves a small house like thing on the edge of a river. If they wanted to go in or out the broke a part in the wall and filled it up as they walked out. When the moon was high in the sky Applejack and rainbow decided to discuss their progress. "Applejack I think we need some sort of plan. We can't keep traveling around this world, not having a clue where we're going." Rainbow started. "How about we stay here for a while? Every day we can go out and search for our friends and report back here when we finish." Applejack suggested. Rainbow beamed. "Thats a great idea Applejack. We can start in the morning. I'm going to bed now." Rainbow said with a slight yawn. "G'night Applejack." Rainbow called as she trotted off into her room in the far corner of the house. Applejack decided to go outside for a while. She wasn't very tired today. More exited to put her plan to action. Once she was outside she trotted around the house, inspecting every inch of it. At the very back she heard a familiar noise through the tree's and started toward it. As she got closer she couldn't believe her eyes. In a small clearing A bright pink pony was jumping around, dancing and singing a song with a happy tune. "Pinkie pie?.." > Pinkie Pie > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pinkie Pie LOVED this new place! So many new creatures and places! The only down thing to it was it's lack of ponies. Pinkie Pie missed her friends and was doing her best to find them. Even if her best had many detours along the way. Even if Pinkie had not been exactly focused for a good chunk of her adventure she had learned many things about this new place. She learned how to break and place blocks of all different kinds. It was super fun! Pinkie was having a great time in this new forest she wandered into. She was singing a happy tune bouncing to the beat when a familiar voice called out through the trees. "Pinkie pie?!" Applejack's voice rang through the forest trees. Pinkie squealed with delight. "Found you Applejack! I NEW the rest of the girls were in here somewhere! Isn't this new place fun? All the critters and trees and mountains an-" Applejack stuck her hoof to Pinkie's mouth, having enough of her rant. "Yeah it's been real fun and you can tell me everything once we get back to the house away from the m-" Pinkie cut Applejack off with an enthusiastic cheer. "You guys have a house?! Like one from Ponyville? Is it big? Does it have lots of windows and nice comfy beds because I reeaally miss comfy beds to sleep in." Applejack waited until Pinkie finished her next outburst to speak. "It does not have any windows OR comfy beds." Applejack raised her hoof to silence Pinkie's words. "We made it out of the supplies we have o it's nothing amazing but it should do for now. Now lets get inside and we can discuss it there. Deal?" Pinkie Pie nodded with a disappointed look on her face. She quickly shook it off and replaced it with her normal smile. "Well lets get going then!" She cried happily. She then trotted after Applejack toward the dim lights that marked the houses place in the dark forest. Pinkie Pie LOVED the house! Even if it didn't have any comfy beds to sleep in. When Pinkie got home Rainbow Dash as super exited to see her! Well sorta super exited. It seemed like as soon as Pinkie started talking Dashi's spirits dropped. She didn't pay much attention to it though. How could she think about something like that with all this whole house to explore?! "Okay Pinkie Pie I think we should build you your own room now." Rainbow said after Pinkie had seen every inch of the house. "I get to help build?! Then it's going to be the best room ever!" Pinkie declared. Rainbow sighed. "Whatever you say Pinkie pie. Although we seem to be running out of wood. If your going to help me build the room then you have to help me get wood to build with." "Sure thing Dashi! That should be SUPER fun!" Rainbow grumbled. "I hate it when you call me that." But Pinkie was already out the door. After Pinkie's room was finished the three of them were finally able to get some sleep. The night was peaceful and undisturbed by monsters. When Pinkie woke up she decided to make it her personal job to wake Applejack and Rainbow up. "Gooood mooooorning!" She said in a sing song voice. "Time to get up sleepy heads!" Rainbow grumbled something in response from her room while Applejack trotted into the room, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "Thanks for the wake up Pinkie." Applejack didn't sound very thankful. "No problem! It's my new duty to make sure you sleepy heads get up on time to get stuff for the house and search for the others with me!" Pinkie beamed "Yeah -Yawn- thanks for the wake up call Pinkie." Rainbow muttered as she walked into the main room of the house. She turned to face Applejack. "I think Pinkie and I should go search some more while you find materials for the house. Applejack nodded. "That sounds good to me. Just remember the path you took. I think you should stick to the lake shore for this one. An' watch out for the green exploding monsters. The sunlight doesn't burn them remember?." "Don't worry I know. We won't stray from the lake for today. As for you try and keep some of the raw wood. I want to make this house look good. The regular planks get boring after a while." "Does it really matter what the house looks like?" Applejack sighed "Of course it do-" "Are we going to start that search now?" Pinkie interrupted. "We have been standing here FOREVER talking about what we are supposed to be doing right now!" Rainbow shrugged. "She has a point I guess. Lets go Pinkie Pie. Meet us back at the house before night, okay Applejack?" "Okay but be careful." Applejack warned. Rainbow was already out the door. "I wonder who we're going to find first!" Pinkie exclaimed. "It could be Fluttershy. Maybe Rarity! It could be Twilight too! This is all so exciting!" Rainbow sighed. "Yeah it's a real thrill.. We could find any of them. Hopefully soon. The more of us there are the closer we are to getting back to Equestria." They walked on in silence. Pinkie was the first to break the peace. "Can you see anything?" "Don't you think I would have told you if I saw something?" Rainbow asked. "Just checking." Pinkie said cheerfully. "How are you so cheerful? We are separated from most of our friends, lost in a strange place FAR from Equestria with no knowledge of finding our way back!" Rainbow questioned with a frustrated huff. "Well what good would it do if I thought about all that? Would it really help if I was down and sad because of all the things that have gone wrong? Why not stick to the bright side of things? Having a bad attitude about things doesn't help the situation at hoof. Lets stick to the task and keep our spirits up. Now lets pick up the pace. Rainbow just noticed that they had stopped walking. She grinned. "You're right Pinkie. Lets find our friends and get out of this place in ten seconds flat." They laughed until their sides hurt at the old joke. "Maybe we should try calling them." Pinkie suggested "Good idea. On three okay?" Pinkie nodded. "One... Two!..... Thr-" Before Rainbow could finish she was interrupted by a rustle in the trees above as a yellow pegasus landed on them.
