1 The beginning
Monster's are my bread and butter. So when im hired to fight a demon i agreed but......
"What do you mean i cant return back?" The witcher asked anger in his voice, red eyes ever watchig his contractor.
"Just as i said witcher you cant go back. The demon destroyed your means to go home." The spirit calmly.
"Well thats great, just lovely" the witcher said looking down in thoght. " What now? I doubt theres nothing u cant do?" The witcher said to the spirit.
"There is one place i can send you too, similar to your home and filled with monsters. I can send you there the only problem is your appearance need's to look like there species. There are many you can look like pick one." The spirit said as a mirror like image showed the other realm.
Many were seen but four stood out to him. One was a unicorn the horn poking out from the head and a tail can be seen behind it. The second was a pegasus its wings at the back can be seen clamped at its sides. The third had nothing at all which was odd. But the fourth caught his eye the being looked a pegasus but the wings looking like a bat wings.
"That one it looks like it'll be useful to me" the witcher said looking at being. 'Why are they bipedal? Seems odd' noting that it also looked equine as well.
"They are ponies and have evolved into what you see now." The spirit said. "What your seeing is a thestral a sub-species of the pegasi they can see in the dark and are darker by nature and very reclusive to any but them selves." At the end she looked to him and waved a hand to show what he would look like. Without the armor his scars look the same surrounded by pure black fur, his eyes remained the same, at his back two wings came into view. His left arm and right leg stayed the same metallic prosthetic at end of the showing she began to change him.
"I want to keep all my weapons and gear, plus a restock of all my items as well." He said looking over his new body.
"Of course witch all so ponies have marks on both arms wha-." She was cut of by the witcher
"Make it my medallion with steel and silver blades and the five sighns i use" he finished
"Very well." Once more her arm moves and on his right arm showed the image he chose.
"When your ready." at that she turned and began to open the portal to the new world.
'This is probably not going to be bad well lets see were this goes'
"Do it." Were his final words before going in.
"Be safe witcher may the path give you glory." before it closed he spoke.
"I hope so as well." and with that i closed.
Now he stood in a forest the winds are blowing and there is snow all around him.
'This is great no where i can go but forward' he thoght. A light in the distance had cuaght his attention. 'That'll have to do for now.' checking for his coins pouch he noticed that all his monye was changed too "Helpful." speaking to himself.
After one hour of walking here arrived at the town thogh the lights we on there wasnt a single soul in sight then it was seen a large ghoul in the town eating a cow carcass.
'Well this is a nice start.' He began to draw his silver sword but a hand grabbed his neck and dragged him back into a building.
"What are doing, do you have a death wish." The pony ask in a hushed tone.
"One never touch me again, two im going to kill the beast and be on my way." Standing and heading to the door the same pony looked at and stood in the door way.
"N-no youll get killed." the pony said. "besides the guards will come by to take care of it" she said.
'This is pointless now i must deal with her and the guards.' The Witcher thought to him self. "Fine but if they cant deal with it I will, no stoping me, or ill break your arm, AM.I.CLEAR." The witcher said.
She nods and we move back the window as we stood there i begin to hear the sound of armor rattling around. 'they need work on thei- they are in gold armor useless.' Watching all this the witcher saw a few of them flinch in fear of the ghoul.
"Alright you two move to its left and right side while i move down the center understood?" The lead pony said with authority and a hint of fear.
'Stupid itll attack you regardless of how many are there.' He thought "This is a joke theyll get killed" the witcher said.
"Dont you know they'rere princesses best guard shes here in town." The pony began "Besides your a thestral what are doing here and not in canterlot in the lunar guard? Are your commanders not aware your here?" She finished and look the witcher over noticing his armor and swords but mostly his eyes.
"No i serve nopony i am simply a hunter of monsters, no more no less." With that said a noise came from the guards as the ghoul now faced them "well they are at least brave." As he watched them, he knew they would run or get hurt so he moved silently to the door and waited for them to finish there game of toy soldier.
"Look out" one said
"My spear broke" the other said
"Fall back well have too try another strategy" the leader said as he ran back with his subordinates in tow.
"Now its my turn." As he began to move but pony stoped him. "Wait what are you going to do they didnt win what makes you think YOU would win?" She said to the witcher.
"Simple really." Then she saw as he headed to the door and went to stop him only to receive a look. "Do not try as said earlier i will let them try they failed so now i will go." As the door opened and the silver sword drawn fourth. The ghoul saw the witcher and ran at him jumping into the air, in one fluid motion the beast fore leg and head was sliced from its body in a single strike. Satisfied with the beast dead he turns to the door where the pony who tried to stop him stood raising his left foot he kicks the decapitated head over to her she looks at it then him she then ran inside.
'From the sound of it shes vomiting.' He the hears more rattling armor and a set of spears pointed at him these ponies however look like him.
"So why's there a thestral all the way out here? when the ones with her highness guard are at canterlot? So why are you here?" Said a female thestral.
"Sargent strike stand down i wish to speak to him." Came a very calm and warm voice from behind her "yes ma'am, well you heard her get moving you." But what shocked her was his response.
"No." Was all that was said.
"N-no i dont think you heard her or me, get moving or get draged to her." The Sargent spoke with mild annoyance.
"If she wants to talk to me then she can came to me, if she wants to speak to me." He said kneeling down to look over the ghouls body.
"How dar-." She was cut off by a very tall pony. This pony was tall two heads taller then the Sargent and had a flowing mane and tail she wore a white dress and had both wings and a horn.
'Shes the princess.' "you wish to speak, speak." He stated.
The princess looked him over and noticed his red eyes. "So what is your name? Mine is princess Celestia" she spoke.
"Black, black scale" he said to the princess
"I wish thank you defeating the beast." She praised.
"It was easy to do." with that he sheathes his blade and turned around to leave only to receive more spears pointed at him.
"Your not leaving untill the princess is done with you." The sargent spoke.
Before he could speak she beat him to it. "Turn around now!" Having enough he moves over to them drawing steel and reading to fight them.
"TAKE HIM DOWN." She bellowed.
"STOP!!" both parties halted and turned to the princess.
"Mr. Sc-." She was cut off. "Black" was what he said. she looked at him still holding his sword but looking at her over his shoulder.
"Very well, black is there a reward you wish to have?" She asked.
"A map." Was his reply.
Minutes roll on by but as a map had been found and given to the witcher.
"Thank you so much sir please come by any time you need too." Spoke the mayor.
"I will consider it." He said
As he made his way out of the building the Sargent stoped him with.
"We should head back to canterlot the commander will want to speak to you about an aw-" she was cut of by him.
"One im not in your military, two i go where i want to when i want to." He said moving pass her.
'This world is boring.' He thought to him self.
The princess looked at him as he passed and wondering when she'd get the paper about his award. When the Sargent approached she looked angry. "What is the problem." She asked.
"He said he is not military, but thats not right every thestral must join its thestilian tradition and law." She finished looking at where went off to.
'Interesting.' Thought the princess.
