Two best friends dress up as their favorite characters in a convention are sent to equestria to stop an evil organization and the return of an ancient evil.
This is the story of 2 indiduals named Jonny and Sarah who visit the NYC Anime convention for the very first time as Jonny wanted to record his very first convention while his friend entered into a costume contest. However when her sword prop got destroyed they decided to look around in the hopes of finding a replacement they soon meet the merchant who sells her a new sword along with some other awesome items from the guy. Only to be sent to Equestria where they become the new heroes in a land filled with ponies against the Evil organization called SHOCKER and face off against the evils of Soul Edge.
The world is in the brink of being taken over, but lucky for them they have the help of the legendary grasshopper rider and a bad ass noble women with a sword wipe and power that would make any who come before her might.
This is a remake of my previous rider story for I now plan to have kamen rider ichigo/rider 1 in this story and not zio.
Hey, my name is Jonathan Denver, but you can just call me Jonny and I am going to tell you a story about how a fan of Kamen Rider become Kamen Rider Ichigo and a cosplayer of Soul Caliber and best friend became the mistress of Soul Edge in world of Equestria. But to do that I will have to take you to where it all started which happened to be at a convention center in New York City….
It was a peaceful Saturday when I arrive to my first ever convention, I believe it was called Wizard Con 2021 which was almost canceled thanks to Covid-19 but thankfully it didn’t. Anyway, I was one of the many people that entered here with my book bag and Canon Camera in hand hoping to get some pictures of the whole thing as I wanted to make my first experience in a convention special. From taking pictures of the area within, the many people dressed as their favorite characters, and hopefully get some awesome items like this posters of Son Goku that was signed by the actual voice actor of Goku himself. I was also here to give support to a very dear friend who was partaking in the costume contest being held there and from what character she was dressed as I hope she wins.
“JONNY!”
Said a familiar sounding voice as I turned around only to hugged by a paled skin woman with white hair, armored claw, and shoulder guard, dressed in a very revealing outfit as I knew full well who this was.
“Hey Sarah, I see you’re in a good mood.” I say as she lets me go and had a bright smile on her face.
“Well why wouldn’t I be? I just got first place on the costume competition and received a medal to prove it.” She said before presenting her medal to me as I smiled at her accomplishment.
“I have to admit you nailed it on the costume but honestly I thought it would be too inappropriate for an event like this.” I said trying not to look at some parts like a damn creep. And if you’re wondering about Sarah’s costume she is dressed as her favorite character from Soul Caliber called Ivy Valentine a powerful fighter from the game that uses alchemy and uses a sword that also acts as a whip during a fight, however she is mostly remembered by her unique outfit that she wears in the game thankfully Sarah made sure to wear a jacket over her upper body.
Sarah then proceeded to pout at me and crossed her arms as I snickered at her expression even when she tries to act serious, she was still cute to me.
“That may be true, but you can’t deny that I look good as Ivy Valentine, right? She said before doing a pose as I immediately took a picture of it as we then examined the photo through the back screen of my camera.
“Another picture to add to the memory pile though I noticed that you don’t have the snake sword Valentine that you made on you what happened to it?” I ask as she sighed sadly.
“Well after winning the contest some creep got a bit too to me and tried to cope a feel, I then proceeded to hit him across the face with my fake sword knocking him out, but I also broke it in the process.” She said dejectedly as I placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
“Hey, don’t worry I am sure we can find a replacement after all I have noticed some stalls here in the center maybe we can find a replacement and also find some other items to collect.” I say as she smiles back at me.
“Well, what are we waiting for let’s go!” she says as she grabs onto my arm and pulls me into a sprint as I shook my head at her antics with smirk on my face as we began to look around the place. As we go through each stall, we noticed a large assortment of items for sale sadly none of them had any replicas of Valentine or anything that caught my eye.
It was then that we were drawn to one stall were a man dressed up as the Merchant from Resident Evil 4 stood as I suggested that we try to him next though I could Sarah was losing hope at this point but agreed none the less. We then approach the stall as we examined all the items he had for sale ranging from weapons, pieces of other costumes, to other items that look like that real thing.
“Watta ya buyin?” said the merchant as me and Sarah looked at one another surprised to hear the man sound exactly like the character from the game before looking back to him.
“Hi there, you wouldn’t happen to have a replica of the Valentine sword from Soul Caliber, would you?” I ask the merchant as he rubs his chin in thought before turning around as he opened a chest and proceeded to look inside before pulling out a sword before presenting it to us.
“Would this be what ya looking for?” he asked as me and Sarah were wide-eyed at the sight as the sword itself was not a wooden replica, but an actual sword as Sarah proceeded to lift it up by the handle and raised up to her as she was mesmerized by the blades design.
“Its perfect.” Said Sarah who was gushing at the sight of her soon to be new blade as the merchant then looked towards me.
“What about you anything caught your eye?” Asked the merchant as I browsed around all the items he had for sale until I took notice of a particular item on display.
“Is that a rider belt?” I ask out of surprise as the Merchant grabs the item I mentioned as he places it in front of me. Some of you may not know this but I am a huge fan of the karate bug men known as Kamen Riders who were like the greatest Japanese heroes of all time even greater than power rangers at least to me that is. They were mostly known for using a unique belt that would all them to transform into a rider granting them greater power as well as deliver one of the most famous finishing moves called the Rider Kick. This particular belt happens to be the one worn by the very first rider called Kamen Rider Ichigo or Rider 1 for it was a large red belt with two silver boxes on each side and in the center was the gyro device that would spin allowing the user to transform into a rider as it was sealed in a cover with the picture of a grasshopper head in the center and behind it was the letter R in bold red.
“You know that would fit nicely to your collection since you mentioned of having a belt of your own.” Said Sarah who brought up a valiant point as I was admiring the design of the belt.
“If you are interested, I will also offer some other items, for a special price that is.” Said the merchant as we both nodded with interest as he presents us with other items such as Ivy’s golden armored gauntlet with the skull on the side, the red kamen rider scarf, 3 figures of Kamen rider Ichigo, Ezio’s hidden blade, a wearable Ichigo helmet, and the hyrule shield and master sword? The last item was a bit off, however Sarah was very happy as I looked at her in confusion.
“You forget that Ezio was a guest character in the most recent soul calibur games, and I have always wanted to own one of these. Plus, in one of the older games Link from the legend of Zelda also made a guest appearance in the game.” She said loving her new item as I rolled my eyes before looking back at the Merchant.
“Okay so how much for all of these.” I ask though I could tell he was happy as he rubbed his hands together and snickered a bit.
“Well usually these items would go over $1000 dollars but seeing is how you two are the first to buy these kinds of items I will bring it to around $800 dollars plus some two more items that I have been trying to get rid of.
Once he said over $1000, I nearly had a heart attack but calmed down when he said $800 dollars. Me and Sarah looked at each other and after some time we both nodded and proceed to pay half of the amount as the Merchant snickers in delight at our purchase. He then proceeds to hand over two small boxes as we both open to see a black ring with a red gem in the center which for some reason looked kinda familiar to me as we look at the Merchant with an eyebrow raised as he simply shrugged at us.
“Like I said I have been wanting to get rid of these two plus you two seem to be a good match for these two.” He said honestly as we simply shrugged before placing our new rings around our middle finger before gathering our new items before leaving the man $300 dollars just for him.
“Thank you, very much good sir.” Said Sarah in an English accent trying to act like Ivy.
“Yeah, thanks for making our day.” I say as we both wave at the Merchant who waved at us back.
“No problem and good luck in your new lives you two.” Said the Merchant but just before either one of us could ask what he meant by that something strange happened.
For some reason I started to feel lightheaded and from the corner of my eye I could see Sarah going through something similar. But before I could ask her what was wrong everything goes black and soon our lives would change forever for, we would no longer be on earth any more…
We now find our hero Jonny laying on his back as he starts to slowly open his eyes before sitting up as he lets out pained groan and proceeds to rub the side of it. As his vision comes back to him Jonny begins to look at his surroundings noticing that he was on top of a roof of some kind.
“Where the hell am I? he asked as he gets to his feet only for an explosion to nearly scare him out of his skin as he looks over the edge of the roof and goes wide-eyed at the sight down below.
Below him was as city made entirely of crystal as the buildings glimmered in the sunlight and a large castle stood at the center of it. But before he could question where he was he was soon startled out of his thoughts when he heard screams of terror as he looked down to see sparkling colored ponies running away for they were being terrorized by a group of men dressed in black suits with skeleton outlines, with masks of a luchador, and had belts with metal buckles that each had the image of a falcon as on of them stood straight with his right arm pointed up and action similar to that of a nazi. He also noticed some armored ponies trying to hold them off, but are being overwhelmed as more Combatmen arrive hogtying some of the defeated guards while also capturing some of the fleeing ponies in a net.
Note: ignore the monsters in the back and only on the ones dressed in black.
Jonny couldn’t believe what he was seeing, for these men were the loyal servants to the evil organization called Shocker. And to see them in real life was just mind blowing, but just then something within the recesses of Jonny’s mind started to build as he grabs until his head while visions began to pop up from his head.
Where Jonny laid strapped to onto a medical table as strange men in black stood there and watched as men in white began to operate on the young human. Doing God knows what as they cut him open and added some new things into his body and upon completion, he is then presented to a red hooded man their leader he guessed who nodded at the unconscious Jonny while letting off a sinister laugh that echoed within Jonny’s mind before it stops. The human now free from whatever was going on in his mind as he then looks back at the chaos before him clenching his right hand as is a fire had been lit from within his heart as he takes notice of a particular pony with wings dressed in gold armor who was crawling away from one of the combatmen as he raised a machete to him.
“MATEO”
Yelled out Jonny who leaps into the air of from the roof before coming down with a flying kick toward the combatmen with the machete who goes down after being hit in the face by the human’s foot as the pony watches in shock before looking towards the human who saved him until more Combatmen arrive.
“Who are you?!!!”
Yelled out one Combatman as Jonny then spreads his arms out as a red belt appears around his waist as a famous henshin sound was made before initiating his transformation. Bending his left arm back while extending his right arm out to the left before slowly rotating it towards the right then extends his left arm straight to the right while bending his right arm back before saying an iconic phrase.
Once that was said Jonny is then seen jumping into the air as the seal in his belt opens revealing a gyro that spins as the human was engulfed in a bright light as he lands on his feet as many of the nearby citizen’s, guards, and combatmen take notice of this as the human stood up now in a new outfit as he then does a pose as this causes the combatmen to step back a bit for they knew just who this man was. As the human wore a black jumpsuit with silver lines running down the arms and legs, silver gloves and boots, green padded chest and abs, a red scarf around his neck, and a helmet with a design reminiscent of that of a grasshopper with red eyes, silver mouth piece, and twin antennas at the center of his forehead.

“KAMEN RIDER!!!”
Yelled out the Combatmen as the rider then charges toward the attackers as they do the same as the first one swung his blade as dodges it before punching the second with his fist. Then proceeds to kick the first one in the chest before delivering a round house kick to the third as they all hit the ground. The fourth one comes charging it with a bow staff thrusting it towards the rider 5 times only for the rider to avoid each it before grabbing the weapon out of the combatmen hands as then smack him with his own weapon. The rider now armed with a bow staff begins to twirl it around as more of them came charging at him as swings the first 3 to the left, jabs the second from behind, then twirls the last of them with a left swing that sends them flying. Another one then swung his sword at the rider who tries to block the attack as the blade cuts through the staff as the rider then steps back as the remaining combatmen smiles with glee while the rider kept his guard up.
“You can’t stop us now; our monster has already breached the castle and has probably dealt with the current rulers of this land. This kingdom is ours and not even you can stop what is coming.” Said the combatmen as the rider stayed silent as black dressed minion then charges at the rider and swings his blade as the rider then dodges the attack before striking him in the gut followed by a strike to the face and as a finisher the rider then kicks the attacker away as he falls to the ground.
The ponies stood there is awe as attackers laid on the ground motionless beaten by the green bug man who appeared from out of nowhere, but what happened next was a shock to the ponies as the attackers began to twitch violently before their bodies began to melt into nothing but sludge as the stranger then grabs one of the discarded blades and proceeds to cut the captured equines free. Some thanked him for dealing with the strange black bipeds while some of the guards grew suspicious of the stranger until the one the rider saved approached him.
“I don’t know who you are but thank you for the save. My name is Private Sentry of the crystal empire infantry what is yours?” asked the guard who upon closer inspection was a yellow coated stallion with wings, golden armor, and blue tail.
Not wanting to be rude the rider then offers him his name.
“My name is Kamen Rider Ichigo, but you can just call me Ichigo.” Responded the rider as he offers the stallion his hand to which he offers his hoof in the form of a handshake.
“But enough pleasantries, while fighting one of the attackers he mentioned of a monster that has already invaded the castle of this land which is the best path to get to the castle quickly?” asked the rider as the stallion went wide-eyed at the news but answered the rider’s question.
“Well the quickest way to the castle would be the one on geode street but how are you-…” he was cut off as the rider then presses a switch on the left side of his belt as a strange contraption appears before the rider as this startles the nearly citizens and guards as the rider then proceeds to climb on to it.
For this contraption was none other then the cyclone motorcycle a machine that the very first rider used for fast travel as the rider grabs onto the handles and begins to rev up the engines before zooming forward down the path leaving the rest of the equines with mouths agape as the rider made his way toward the crystal castle as he prayed to whatever deity that he wasn’t too late.
Meanwhile inside of the castle of the throne room was the current rulers of the land the first one being a while unicorn stallion with blue hair and tail and wore purple and grey armor. Next to him was a pink mare who had both horn and wings, wore a gold tiara along with a gold bracelet and slippers as she was carrying a much smaller equine with a white pinkish coat, purple hair, and tail, and also had a horn and wings. These three were shining armor, princess cadence, and their daughter Flurry Heart as they stood close to each other after avoiding a strange spiderlike creature who managed to kill many of their guards after being hit by its acidic webs. They believed that they were safe after locking themselves into the throne room, but soon became anxious once they heard the creature menacing laughter echo within the room. This causes Shinning Armor to light up a shield that covers around the 3 as a strand of web is shot towards them hitting the shield as the web tries to burn through it causing the while unicorn to groan as the creature then lands in front of him causing Flurry to shake in fear as Cadence tries to calm her down before she and her husband stare daggers at the vile creature.
The creature begins to chuckle menacingly as it slowly moves toward the 3 as it fires another strand of web as it hits the shield as it tries to burn through it as Shinning struggles to keep it up.
“If you value your lives, surrender and submit your loyalty to the glory of Shocker.” Said the spider monster as both the mare and stallion stared back at the creature in defiance.
“We will not surrender to the likes of you monster.” Said Shinning Armor as Princess Cadence said her part.
“Whoever you are or whatever this Shocker you work for is we and the Crystal Empire will never submit to you!” said the princess as the monster begins to the laugh as it stood in front of the shield before raising its arm.
“Then die like the others. But know that you both have sealed your fate.” Said the monster as it was about to strike the shield but stopped when the sound of an engine roaring caught his attention.
And without warning something busts through the doors of the throne room as the green rider arrives on his cyclone bike before making his stop as he gets off from the bike as he points a finger toward the monster.
“Not so fast Man Spider.” Said the green rider as the monster turns to him as it lets out a growl of annoyance.
“KAMEN RIDER… come to stop me from claiming this land for glory of Shocker?” asked the monster as the green rider crosses his arms.
“As if I would let happen for, I have already dealt with your minions outside of the castle so all that’s left is to deal with you.” He responded as the creature called Man Spider then fired a strand of web towards the rider.
Fortunately, the rider avoids the attack as he leaps out of the way as the web hits the floor as the rider lands on his feet and gets into a fighting stance as Man Spider then charges toward the green rider. The monster throws a couple of punches from all direction to which the rider blocks with ease as he manages to block a right hook before kneeing the monster in the gut as he staggers back. The rider then charges forward with a punch but misses as the monster swerves to the side and kicks the rider in the back as he rolls to the ground but is back onto his feet as the monster then fires its web again. The rider weaves his head avoiding the attack before charging at the monster as he delivers a right hook to its face, a left jab to the gut, a right jab to the face, and finishes it with a right kick the gut as the monster staggers back a bit. The monster now weaken from the fight tries to strike the rider with a right hook only for it to be caught by the rider who then has the monster in an arm lock.
“Damn you Kamen Rider… DAMN YOU… But know this even though I failed there will be others that will come for this land. And we will never stop until this land is under the complete control of shocker.” Said the monster to which the rider scoffs at.
“That may be true, but as long as I am here none of you will take this land and I will make sure that I put an end to Shocker’s reign once and for all.” Said the rider as he lets go of the monster before delivering a powerful karate chop to the monster’s chest.
“RIDER CHOP!!!”
Is what the rider said as the monster staggers back as the rider then leaps into the air the belt generating energy as his he then extends his right foot forward now gleaming with the same energy before diving towards the monster and hitting it straight onto its chest.
“RIDER KICK!!!”
Is what the rider as the monster is seen falling to the floor as its body began to bloat like that of a balloon before exploding into sludge as the rider lands onto his feet and does his signature pose knowing that the fight was over.
The other ponies in the room looked on in shock and awe from the fight that had accord and both Shinning and Cadence could not believe that the monster that had killed their guards was beaten by a stranger with a green bug like helmet. Their daughter Flurry who had looked back to the see the fight had clapped her hooves together happy to see that the scary monster was gone all thanks to the rider who came in just in time. But before they could thank their savior he collapses onto the floor as Shinning lets down his shield as he and Cadence rush over to the Rider who now reverts to his regular form unconscious, and it was then that the other guards arrive with Private Sentry with them.
“Your majesties are you alright?” asked one of the guards to which they both nodded.
“We had heard that a monster had infiltrated the castle and rushed in to save you.” Said another guard as Cadence then spoke up.
“You are correct there was a monster by the name of Man Spider that had infiltrated the castle, however I am relieved to say that the monster has already been dealt with thanks to the efforts of the one laying unconscious on the flour.” She said pointing toward the human who was being held up by Shinning Armor as Flurry flew towards him and landed onto its shoulder with a concerned look on her face.
“One of you please assist shinny into bringing Kamen Rider to the infirmary. Its thanks to him that me and my family were saved by that vile creature the least we could do is to help treat him.” She as some of the guards nodded as 3 of them including Shinning carried towards the infirmary as the princess followed behind them. Though she was grateful to the Rider for saving her and her family she grew worried from what the monster had said about there being others that will come to finish the job. For she will need to notify her aunt’s and sister-in-law about this and hopefully find a solution for all of this.
Meanwhile far away from the Crystal Empire and in a strange looking forest laid a human female with short white hair, pale skin, along with a purple outfit with gold accents that was too revealing for any girl to be wearing who was unconscious after being brought there by unknown means. It was then that she was found by 3 younger ponies who proceeded to carry the unconscious human girl out of the forest and into a nearby town where she will get the shock of her life once she awakens.
