Rainbow Dash yawned. She had just woken up after an awesome day of showing off her new tricks. She jumped out of her bed and walked out of her room, without fixing her blankets and sheets. "Sup Tank?" she said as she passed her pet turtle. He just made a weird sound and kicked his food bowl over. Rainbow sighed and looked in a cabinet for his food. "Ugh" she said as she turned to her pet. "Sorry dude. No food. I'll go buy some." She grabbed a few bits and left for the shops. As she got to town, it seemed everypony needed to be in the market today. Rainbow Dash flew above them all, looking for the pet shop. When she spotted it, she raced in. She got in a ridiculously long line. The pony in front of her talked, and talked, and TALKED. The one behind her couldn't stop fidgeting. Rainbow wanted to tell the one in front of her to shut up, and tell the one behind her that if she was that itchy, to take a bath. After half an hour of waiting she got to the front. "one bag of turtle food please." The cashier looked under the desk for the product and came back up to face Rainbow. "Sorry ma'am. None left. That lady that just left bought the last bag." Rainbow Dash's eye twitched. She turned and started to leave. " oh, that's OK. I didn't wait in line for half an hour for it or ANYTHING LIKE THAT!!" She screamed. When she saw that everypony was looking at her, she laughed nervously and flew out of there.
After an hour of searching for something that Tank would eat, she facehoofed as she thought of something. Lettuce! Fluttershy had that annoying bunny. Maybe she had some. She flew towards her best friend's house. She landed in front of it and knocked on the front door. No answer. "Oh COME ON!!" She started banging on the door. It opened some, and Angel stared up at her in an annoyed face. "Hi little guy, where is Fluttershy?" The bunny hopped over to a window and pointed to the Everfree Forest. "Oh. well darn. See you little annoying bunny. Thanks!" With that, she turned and flew away. Angel started to walk to the door. When he got there, he slammed it shut hard enough so he knew Rainbow Dash heard. "Jerk." He thought.
Rainbow Dash got back to her home. "Here you go buddy! Eat up!!" She placed some lettuce leaves in Tank's bowl. He looked up slowly and started to smile. Then he started munching on the leaves. Rainbow knew she was going to be in trouble. She didn't want to do it, but if she wanted her pet to live, she HAD to. She stole from Fluttershy's garden. She would have to apologize later. "Well Tank, how was it?" He looked up and slowly nuzzled her leg. "Aww, thanks man!" She patted him on the head. "Well dude, I'm gonna grab Pinkie Pie and show her my new tricks I have learned! They are pretty awesome!" She opened her door and flew out.
She walked into Sugercube corner. "HI!!" Pinkie floated above Rainbow. Rainbow was perfectly used to Pinkie's crazy ways, so she didn't think much of it. "Hi Pinks. Wanna watch me practice?" Pinkie Pie gasped dramatically. "Really? WellfirstihavetomakesomecakeforyourGoodJobOnYourNewTrickParty!!!" "Yeah, cool. Whatever you just said."Rainbow said. "Yay!" Pinkie fell from the imaginary floor and ran inside just to come back out a second later, holding a tray with a cake on it. "OK, moaw m raady pto go." Rainbow Dash laughed. "Pinkie Pie you are so random! Now let's go." "K!!!" Pinkie ran beside her, the cake somehow balanced on her head even though she was hopping. When they got to the park, Pinkie somehow had a picnic blanket. She sat down and started giggling. "What are you waiting for Dashie? Go, Go, Go!" Rainbow laughed. "Alright Pinkie, but get ready." She stepped closer to Pinkie. "This" Closer. "Is" closer.. "going to be.." She was right in front of Pinkie's snout. Her eyes were staring right into hers. "AWESOME!!" Rainbow Dash flew up into the sky and looked back at Pinkie Pie. Pinkie yelped and fell back onto the blanket. She started laughing. "Well than GO! Show me! GO, GO,GO,GO,GO!!" Rainbow smirked. "Alright Pinks!" She flew up and up, stopping when she was just a speck in the sky. She flew straight down, doing spins and loops on the way down. She did barrel rolls and she made the clouds spin. She rocketed downward until she couldn't go any faster unless she wanted to do a Sonic Rainboom. Right before she hit the ground, she pulled up, soaring right over Pinkie. "Oh my GOSH!! Your so AWESOME!!" She heard Pinkie Pie say. She looked back to see Pinkie jumping up and down. Then Pinkie stopped. "Wha?" rainbow looked in front of her "OH FU-" She crashed into a rock. She stayed there a moment and started to fall, hitting rocks on the way down.
Rainbow Dash slowly opened her eyes. "hhnngggg" she moaned as she rolled over onto her stomach. She tried to stand but felt a sharp pain in her back right leg. Rainbow gave a small yelp and fell back down. "OHMYGOSH!!RAINBOWDASHAREYOUALRIGHT?!!TALKTOMEEEEEEEEE!!!!!" Pinkie Pie screamed as she ran up to Rainbow's side. "Yeah I'm fine Pin-OW!" She said as she tried to stand again. Pinkie didn't hear her over her rambling. "I'LLHAVETOGETADOCTOR!!BUTTHENIWOULDHAVETOLEAVEYOU,ANDTHATWOULDN'TBENICE.BUTTHENYOUCOULDBEHURTAGIAN!!IFANYTHINGHAPPENEDTOYOUDASHIE I.... I would..." Pinkie burst into tears. Rainbow Dash scooted over to Pinkie Pie. Pinkie dropped down beside her. "Don't worry Pinkie. It isn't THAT bad." Rainbow tried to cheer her up. She didn't want to tell Pinkie Pie how much it actually hurt. She put her hoof around Pinkie's shoulders. "Thank you Dashie. I will help you get to Nurse Red Heart." Pinkie hoisted Rainbow Dash onto her back and carried her to the hospital.
Rainbow Dash had to hug Pinkie Pie around her neck so the pink earth pony would stop crying. "Oh, I hope they can fix you up! Did you break anything? Are you comfortable? If your not, I'll stop and you can position yourself. Are you thirsty? Are you hungry? If your hungry, I have some cake! It was supposed to be for your party, but your health comes first." Pinkie Pie rambled on. "They can. Probably. Yeah I'm comfy. No you don't have to stop. No. Meh. Oh really? Well thanks, Pinkie." Rainbow answered all of her questions. "Well I'm going to stop at Sugercube Corner. I WANT you to drink something. I heard that it helps the doctors or something like that."
Since Rainbow Dash had crashed, she couldn't do her job. Huge rainclouds drifted over Ponyville, showering it in darkness. It had started to drizzle. "Well, the boss won't be happy." Rainbow muttered to herself. Pinkie stopped and turned to look at Rainbow. "Oh, don't worry. I told all of your friends what happened, so they are trying to keep the storm away!" Pinkie Pie smiled. Rainbow Dash went wide eyed. "WHAT?!! YOU TOLD ALL OF THE WEATHER PATROL?!! WHAT THE HAY PINKIE PIE?!! NOW EVERYONE WILL LAUGH AT ME!!!" Rainbow Dash was breathing heavily. "Oh. Sorry." Pinkie looked down at the ground and kept walking. As she splashed through puddles and waded through mud, Rainbow wondered how Pinkie Pie had told all of her patrol. If she was on her back the whole time, then how? Had she fallen asleep? Was she so dazed that she couldn't remember it? Or was it Pinkie Pie being Pinkie Pie? Rainbow concluded that the Pinks used Telekina whatever it was called to tell her friends. She lifted her head to try and see what was in front of them. They just passed Sweet Apple Acres. That means they still had half an hour of walking at the speed Pinkie was going.
The rain was falling heavier and heavier every second, making the walk even slower due to huge puddles and deep mud. Ten minutes passed without a word. Rainbow Dash was starting to feel sorry for yelling at Pinkie Pie. She wasn't hugging her anymore. She saw Pinkie look up and look around. She walked over to a large tree and put Rainbow Dash under it. Then Pinkie got up and left. Rainbow dash was really confused and angry. "What the.. HEY PINKIE!! COME BACK!! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!! PIIINKIIIEEEE!!!!!!" Pinkie Pie couldn't hear her over the pounding rain. Rainbow watched in disbelief as Pinkie Pie walked off. "PINKIE PIE!!! COME BACK!!!" Rainbow Dash screamed at the top of her lungs. Pinkie looked like she was oblivious to everything going on around her. She kept walking, and soon disappeared over a hill. Rainbow's mouth hung open. She stared at the place Pinkie used to be. She put her head on the ground and curled up into a ball. "I can't believe Pinkie Pie just left me under a tree." She said. She started to cry. If anyone saw her,they couldn't have been able to tell because of the rain.
The rainstorm was coming in full force. The rain pounded Rainbow Dash as she tried to hide under the tree. She flinched at each boom of thunder and each strike of lightning. She felt like the wind was trying to kill her. It pushed against her with so much force, it pushed her into a tree. Rainbow managed to crawl around to the other side of the tree to hide from the wind. She was still crying. "Why would Pinkie Pie do this?!!" She screamed at the tree. The tree seemed to point somewhere. Rainbow followed the branches with her eyes. It was pointing right at Sweet Apple Acres. "Hmmm." Rainbow thought out loud. She opened her wings. Big mistake. Instantly, the wind took her away. Rainbow yelped as it threw her around. She tried to control where she was going. She managed to, somewhat, as she flew in a very weird course towards Sweet Apple Acres.
"And that is what happened! So can you help?" Pinkie jumped up and down. Fluttershy was laying down on her couch. "I don't know Pinkie. It's pretty bad out there. I don't want to try and fly Rainbow Dash all the way here in THAT. Why didn't you bring her here by yourself?" Fluttershy looked at Pinkie with an expression of pure worry. Pinkie ceased her jumping and ran right up to Fluttershy. "I could run a TON faster without her on my back you know. It would have taken me HOURS to get here in that storm with her on my back." "OK Pinkie Pie. But we need to be extremely careful alright?" Fluttershy got up and placed Angel down. She opened the front door and thunder boomed. She gave a frightened squeak. "Don't worry Fluttershy! I'll be right behind you!" Pinkie walked right up behind her and gave a salute. "Um... OK...(gulp)... H-here I g-g-go" She took a step outside. CRACK!! Lightning struck in front of the cottage. Fluttershy screamed and ran inside. Pinkie face-hoofed and walked back inside.
Rainbow Dash flew around wildly in the storm, getting closer to Sweet Apple Acres. "Come on, I can make it!" She said through gritted teeth. The rain felt like a million punches everywhere it hit. The thunder getting louder due to the wind bringing her close to the clouds. With each strike of lightning, her ears rang and it felt like her body would shake itself apart. "I'm getting closer!" She said to herself. She flew over the fence and got close to the barn. She saw Applejack coming out of it, holding on to her hat. Rainbow smiled a little and tried to wave. "APPLEJACK!!!" She screamed several times before the small speck of an Earth pony looked up. "HEY! APPLEJA-" CRACK!! Rainbow felt a huge tingling and burning sensation at the same time. She slowly closed her eyes as she fell towards the ground.
Applejack looked up when she heard a screaming sound from above. She could make out the figure of Rainbow Dash. She wasn't really flying. It looked like being thrown around in an imaginary baseball game. Applejack tried to talk to her. "Need any help Rainbow? If you do , the-" She couldn't get the last few words out. She watched in horror as her friend was struck by lightning. "RAINBOW DASH!" She screamed. Rainbow started to fall. Applejack ran to where she thought she would land. She fell faster and faster until zooming over Applejack, knocking her hat off in the process. Applejack ran after her, looking up just in time to see Rainbow Dash crash into the ground.
Applejack ran to the side of the crater Rainbow Dash had just made. She slid down and put RD on her back."You are heavier than ya look." Applejack grunted. She climbed out of the crater, slowly making her way into the Apple Family home. She opened the front door and yelled, "GOT AN INJURED ONE HERE!" The rest of the Apple Family instantly got into a line. Applejack started to give orders like a drill sergeant. "Granny Smith, get something cooking, for her to eat. Applebloom, go get a wet washcloth and some blankets, And Big Mac?" She looked up at her brother. "Eeyup?" Applejack motioned to the couch. "Help me bring her over there." Granny Smith and Applebloom gave a salute and ran off to do their duties, while Big Mac picked up Rainbow Dash and placed her on the couch. Applebloom ran back with her supplies. "Got them sis! Who is injured by the way?" She handed Applejack the washcloth and blankets. "Rainbow Dash was flying around in the storm, and she got hurt. Now run along." Applebloom gave another salute and went to the kitchen to help Granny Smith.
"Well, what happened?" asked Granny Smith, as Applebloom walked into the kitchen. "They said Rainbow Dash got hurt in the storm. I hope she is alright. AJ wouldn't tell me what happened." Applebloom looked down at the floor, thinking of the worst things that could of happened. "Oh, don't sweat it deary. I don't think it's THAT bad." Granny replied when she saw Applebloom's face twist up from her horrific thoughts. Applejack peeked around the corner. "Oh yes, Granny Smith it's that bad. Come look!" Applebloom shook herself out of her thoughts. "SHE DIED?!!" Applejack looked at her sister sternly. "No! jeez girl, what are you thinking?" Applebloom gave a sigh of relief as they walked into the living room to see what happened.
Rainbow Dash's eyes fluttered open. She felt a wet thing on her head and she was covered in blankets. She groaned. "W-what h-h-happened?" She held her head in her hooves, due to a massive headache. She turned onto her back only to feel a sharp pain run up her back. "OW!! she rolled onto her stomach again. Rainbow saw orange fill up her vision. She looked up and saw a concerned Applejack. "You OK sugercube?" Rainbow Dash was too tired to do anything so she just nodded. AJ grew a look of confusion. "Really? You don't feel bad? No pain or anything?" Rainbow was as confused as Applejack. "Well when I rolled on my back, it really stung. Why? What happened?" Applejack looked at her family, then back at RD. "Well, you were flying all weird like. When I tried to talk to you, well, um...You got struck by lightning." Rainbow's face scrunched as she remembered. "I got struck by LIGHTNING?! Pinkie Pie you little..." Her last sentence was said under her breath, and nobody could hear her. "Well," Started Applejack. "Need anything? Food? Drink?" Rainbow looked up again. "You sound just like Pinkie Pie. Yeah, i am starving! what's to eat?" The Apple family gave a small smile. There is the Rainbow Dash we know!
As Rainbow Dash munched on the most delicious apple pie she ever tasted, the apple family sat in the living room whispering. Rainbow only heard a few words. "Scar" and "Really bad" She didn't think much of it, because this apple pie was the only thing in the world that mattered right now. She felt a small tug on her tail. She looked down and saw a wide eyed Applebloom. Her pupils seemed to cover the whole expanse of her eyes. Rainbow Dash would never admit it, but it was the most adorable thing she ever saw. "What do you need kid?" Applebloom's eyes looked towards the pie and then back to Rainbow. Rainbow Dash looked at the final piece of pie. She couldn't say no. She handed Applebloom the last piece. Her eyes seemed to get bigger and she smiled. "Thanks Rainbow Dash! Hope your back gets better!" She held the pie in her mouth and hopped away in a Pinkie like fashion. Rainbow Dash felt like she was about to explode from overexposure to adorableness.
The storm stopped. Rainbow Dash was happy that it was over. She walked outside and noticed a pond in front of the Apple Family's house. "Wha? Applejack come out here!" Applejack ran out. "What!? What happened!? Anything wrong!?" Rainbow dash motioned to the pond. "Did you buy a pond, or something? Can you even do that?" Applejack started laughing. "Rainbow, I think you gave me that pond. Thanks, by the way." Rainbow looked confused. Applejack explained that she fell out of the sky and made a huge hole, and the rain filled it up. "AWESOME!" Rainbow yelled. "I made a pond! Add one more thing to the list of tricks!" Applejack looked at the pond. "Um, I don't think you should try and make another one anytime soon." They both started laughing and walked inside.
They all sat down for breakfast. Rainbow almost exploded from adorableness again. Applebloom refused to sit in her chair. Instead she insisted on sitting on Rainbow Dash's lap. She laid down and curled up into a small ball of yellow and red. "Oh my Celestia, that is adorable!" Rainbow said out loud. She looked up to see the Apple Family staring at her. "Um...I mean..." Rainbow stammered. Applejack burst out laughing. She almost fell out of her seat. She stopped when Big Mac kicked her from under the table. Applebloom noticed, and she curled up even more. Even though Applejack had just laughed at her, Rainbow felt like she was part of the family. As soon as she felt this though, there was a knock on the door.
Whoever it was knocked again. "I got it!" Applejack got up out of her chair, still giggling. As she walked past Rainbow Dash, she gave her an evil grin. Rainbow stuck her tongue out. Applejack slowly opened the door. Outside stood a worried Pinkie Pie and an annoyed Fluttershy. "Well hi, Fluttershy and Pinkie!" Applejack said with a welcoming smile. Rainbow tensed. "Pinkie Pie..." She said under her breath. Applebloom took notice and decided it would be best if she tried to comfort RD. "Don't worry Rainbow Dash. Pinkie didn't do anything." Rainbow glanced down. "You have no idea kid." She picked up Applebloom and placed her on the floor. She got out of her seat and waited for Pinkie to walk in.
In the background, Big Mac and Granny Smith decided to get up and bring the dishes to the kitchen. Rainbow heard the two new guests step into the house. Her anger started to rise. She got into a fighting stance and started pawing at the ground, nostrils flaring. Applebloom stepped towards her. "Calm down Rainbow Dash! What did she do?" Rainbow seemed to get even more angry when she heard Applebloom's last sentence. Applebloom started to get scared and ran off to the kitchen. "Big Mac!" She yelled as she ran into the kitchen. "Eeyup?" He looked at her as he cleaned a plate. "Rainbow Dash looks like she's gonna explode! Help! I don't want something bad happening..." She looked at the floor. "Nope" He said. "I am cleaning the dishes. Plus, I don't know why she is mad. I can't help if I don't know the problem. Sorry." He added when he saw the sad look in his sisters face.
Rainbow was boiling. If she was any more angry, she would have turned all red. Pinkie came around the corner. "YOU!!!" Rainbow Dash screamed. Pinkie made a tiny peep noise and started backing up with a face full of fear. Rainbow stepped closer with every word she spoke. "YOU MOTHERBUCKER!! HOW DARE YOU LEAVE ME IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, AND JUST WALK OFF!! I TRIED TO HELP MYSELF BECAUSE YOU WERE OUT PARTYING OR SOMETHING!!! I GOT STRUCK BY FREAKING LIGHTINING PINKIE PIE!!! LIGHTNING!!!" Pinkie Pie was cowering in a corner, covering her eyes. Rainbow stood above her, spreading her wings out to make herself look bigger. "um...Excuse me..." Rainbow looked over to see Fluttershy. "Well, I had to go out into a raging storm. I went to look for you with Pinkie." Rainbow turned back to Pinkie Pie, her face glowed with anger. Fluttershy continued. "It took Pinkie forever to convince me to walk out into that storm. We walked in that terrible rain, only to find that you weren't there." Rainbow Dash flew over to Fluttershy, almost knocking her over. "OH, SO IT'S MY FAULT NOW?!! YOUR GOING TO BLAME ME FOR PINKIE PIE LEAVING ME IN THE STORM WHEN YOU WERE TO MUCH OF A WUSS TO STEP OUTSIDE?!!" Fluttershy started to cry. She and Pinkie ran out of the house and away from Sweet Apple Acres.
"AND DON'T COME BACK!!!" Rainbow Dash was breathing heavily. She looked down at the ground. She started to calm down. She sighed and started to close the door. "Oh no you don't." Applejack stopped her from closing the door. She pushed Rainbow out. "I know you were mad, but that is not, I repeat, NOT the way you handle things. I suggest leaving now, Rainbow Dash." With that, Applejack shut the door in Rainbow's face. Rainbow Dash was stunned. She heard some noise coming from the house. Applebloom slowly opened the door and looked up at Rainbow Dash. Applebloom started to carefully step towards Rainbow Dash. She looked at RD with the same eyes she used when she wanted the pie, only to look down at the ground a moment later. There was silence for a few minutes. Rainbow looked down after a while and tried to remember what she had just said to her friends. She started to regret what she had done.
More silence. After a while Applebloom spoke in a small, scared voice. "If someone left me like that, I would be scared too." Rainbow Dash looked at Applebloom. They stared at each other. Rainbow started to cry as she picked up Applebloom and hugged her. Applebloom returned the hug. "Thanks, kid." Rainbow held Applebloom in front of her. "I never thought I would see the day." Applejack stepped out of the house. Rainbow turned around and wiped her eyes, releasing Applebloom. Applejack smirked a little. "I never thought I would see the toughest and fastest Pegasus in all of Equestria CRY!" Rainbow lay on the ground and let the insult pour over her. She felt like she deserved it.
Applebloom got angry. "SIS! Don't come out here and start insulting Rainbow Dash! Can't you see her side of the story? How would you like it if YOUR friends left you in the middle of nowhere?!" Applejack looked down at her sister. "Excuse me?!" Applebloom went right up to Applejack's face. "You heard me! What? Are you afraid of your little sister not agreeing with you?!" Applejack stepped back. She didn't expect Applebloom to disagree. But she did. Applebloom walked over to Rainbow Dash and lay down next to her. "Sorry sis, but you have to look at the story from both perspectives." Applejack became furious. She bent down to look RD right in the eyes. "This is all your fault my sister is acting this way. I hope your happy." She turned around and started to walk back to the house. Applebloom jumped up from shock. "SIS!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU JUST DID THAT!!" Applejack looked back. "Well I just did." She then proceeded to walk into the Apple Family home.
Rainbow Dash slowly flew towards her home with Applebloom on her back. "Sorry kid..." Rainbow said in a weak and trembling voice. Applebloom looked down at the ground below them. "It's okay Rainbow Dash. My sister didn't have to insult you like that. If any one should be sorry, it should be me." Rainbow didn't answer. When she got to her home, she put Applebloom on a couch so she wouldn't fall through the clouds. "Well kid, I set up some rugs all over the house so you can walk around without falling through the clouds." She showed Applebloom around the house. "Woooooooooow.... You mean to tell me that you built this all by yourself?" Usually, a question like that would make Rainbow Dash happy, but not as much now. "Yeah kid, I did. pretty cool right?" Rainbow gave a small smile. Applebloom saw this and tried to keep her happy. She suggested they play some games.
The rest of the night consisted of them playing tag or board games, and whatever Applebloom could think of. Rainbow was smiling and laughing, and Applebloom was doing the same. Tank even tried to play something with them. "You can't catch me!" Applebloom giggled. Rainbow Dash grinned. "Oh, yes I can!" They ran around the house, jumping over furniture and ducking under tables. Applebloom jumped onto the couch. Rainbow sped up and grabbed the little earth filly around her waist. "Gotcha!" She yelled. Rainbow started to tickle Applebloom. She started to laugh uncontrollably. "Rain..Bow...Stop!! Ahahaha!!!" Applebloom rolled over. Rainbow Dash didn't. "Not until you say that I win!" Applebloom couldn't stop giggling. "OK! OK! OK! You win! You win!" Rainbow ceased the tickling with a satisfied smile. "Man, Rainbow Dash! Your good!" Applebloom said with a small smile.
They both started to yawn. Rainbow picked up Applebloom and placed her onto a pillow. "OK kid, time for bed." Applebloom looked sad. "But Rainbow! I'll be cold!" Rainbow Dash sighed and flew over. She curled up around the little filly. She covered her with her wing for extra warmth. "Better?" Rainbow looked at Applebloom. "Yep! Thank you!" With that she too curled up into a small ball. Rainbow Smiled. "Thank you, Applebloom."
The sun had just started to rise as Rainbow Dash woke up. She yawned and rubbed her eyes. She was about to move when she felt some movement under her wing. She smiled as she remembered the "sleepover" that she and Applebloom were having. Rainbow looked down to see a tiny Applebloom curled up in a ball, right next to her shoulder. She even used Rainbow's tail as a blanket. Rainbow smiled warmly at the sight. It was adorable. She didn't want to move because she might disturb the peacefully sleeping filly. After a while, Rainbow Dash had her dose of adorableness for the morning. She moved her face closer to Applebloom and nudged her until she started to stir.
The sunrise was in the perfect place. It made Rainbow's living room look like it had turned to gold. Applebloom rubbed her eyes and stood up. Rainbow watched as the tiny earth pony tried to balance with the morning weight still on her. Rainbow didn't think she could smile as much as she was at that moment. In a strange way, Rainbow felt like she was a mother for a second. She poked the small filly who was still swaying. "Morning little guy! how did you sleep?" Applebloom slowly turned around. "Oh....Rainbow...Dash....I..slept...fine......" She yawned again. She started to close her eyes, slowly falling forward. She fell on top of Rainbow Dash's back, making tiny snoring sounds.
Rainbow flew into her kitchen, leaving Applebloom snuggled up in a blanket. She fed Tank the rest of the stolen lettuce and poured herself some cereal. She looked back into her living room. Applebloom was still there, with her hooves hugging a pillow. Rainbow smiled again as she poured her little friend some cereal as well. She sat and waited until Applebloom was ready to come to breakfast. As she sat, she thought of what happened over the last few days. Stealing from Fluttershy, then crashing a trick, Pinkie leaving her in the middle of the storm, and the Apple Family. She heard movment from the the other room, and went to go help Applebloom to her seat.
Rainbow Dash watched Applebloom eat. She was so grateful that Applebloom helped her out of her bad mood. "Hey kid?" Rainbow lifted her head off the table to look at the yellow filly munching on cereal. "Hmm?" Applebloom looked back at RD with a mouth full of food. Rainbow chuckled. "Thanks." She put her head back on the table. Applebloom looked up with a look of triumph. "Your welcome! What else are friends for?" Rainbow couldn't help but smile at that statement. Applebloom finished and gasped. " I KNOW!! Rainbow Dash!! Can you help the Cutie Mark Crusaders on our hunt for our cutie marks?! PLEASE?!!" Applebloom must have known Rainbow Dash's weakness. She looked at her with the biggest eyes ever. Rainbow sighed. "OK kid. What do you have in mind?"
The duo cautiously sneaked through Sweet Apple Acres to the CMC clubhouse. Applebloom walked silently through the front door, as did Rainbow Dash. They saw two little fillies huddling over a paper. They were talking about a list or something. Rainbow knew that Scootaloo was her biggest fan, so she crept up behind her and poked her in the back. Scootaloo sat up and her ear twitched a little. "What now, Applebloom?" she said, a little annoyed. She turned around. Rainbow Dash stood before her, in all of her might! Scootaloo gasped and ran up to her and hugged RD's leg. "OHMYGOSHRAINBOWDASH!!WHATAREYOUDOINGHERE?!!" Rainbow smiled. "Applebloom said you needed my help, so i am here to provide it!"
They did extreme sports, hiking, architecture, writing books, teaching, and even dancing. Nothing worked of course. Rainbow Dash didn't care. these three fillies were so nice to her, that she even joined in the activities. she made sure not to hit her bad leg or her back in the process. Rainbow also knew what the CMC were good at. They were just so caught up in their crusading to notice. Rainbow let them continue however because they were having so much fun NOT having their cutie marks. after a few hours, they decided to head back to the clubhouse.
Sweetie Belle opened the door "Thanks so much Rainbow Dash!" Scootaloo hopped in after her. "Yea! You were so awesome!" Lastly, Applebloom and Rainbow walked in. Rainbow thanked them all. "I know I helped, but you still don't have your cutie marks!" Scootaloo zoomed up next to her. "Don't worry, Rainbow Dash! You helped us figure out what we aren't good at!" The CMC all smiled. Rainbow couldn't help laughing.
She hung out with the CMC for a few more hours, mostly looking at drawings that the three little fillies had drawn. Rainbow Dash was content while hanging out with them. After all of the bad stuff that had happened before, these guys helped a lot. Then Rainbow had an idea. She looked at all three of them. "Hey guys?" They instantly stopped what they were doing and looked at her. Rainbow smiled a little and looked at Scootaloo. "Do you guys want to sleep over at my house?" They all gasped. They screamed in a voice that almost flew RD backwards. "CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS SLEEPOVER AT RAINBOW DASH'S HOUSE!! YEA!!!" Sweetie Belle and Applebloom ran off to ask their sisters.
Rainbow slowly flew up to her house, balancing three little fillies on her back. When she landed at her front door, it was pretty much the same procedure as it was the day before. She showed them around, gave a few basic rules, and them set them loose. Rainbow Dash sat in the background and watched them play. She didn't think she would be able to handle it. It was like taking the adorableness of Applebloom and multiplying by three.
At one point they decided to play tag. Rainbow was being the referee. They ran all around the house. Rainbow Dash was having a hard time keeping track of all three of them at the same time. She flew around a corner and all of a sudden, they were gone. Rainbow flew to the living room to find Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle fighting. Sweetie looked like a mini Rarity. "I tagged you Scootaloo!" Scootaloo would have none of it. "Yea right! Applebloom what happened?" Applebloom looked between her friends. "Well... Sweetie Belle did tag you Scoots..." Scootaloo lifted her tiny wings. "WHAT?! NO WAY!!" Rainbow Dash face hoofed. Fillies. Sweetie looked at Scootaloo with a sneer. "Ha HA! I WIN! Ha Ha-AAAAGGGHHH!!!" Scootaloo pushed Sweetie Belle off of the rug. She fell through the cloud floor. " SWEETIE BELLE!!!" Scootaloo screamed.
Rainbow Dash flew out of her house and searched for Sweetie Belle. She saw a small white dot fading away. Rainbow zoomed down at all of her speed. She saw the image of the terrified unicorn filly. It reminded her of saving Rarity. She got closer and closer until...
Rarity was walking along the outskirts of Ponyville, going to Rainbow Dash's house to check on her sister. She was sort of shocked that Rainbow Dash would be hosting a sleepover. As she walked, she smelled the crisp, clear night air. She looked up at the sky to see a full moon and stars filling the whole sea of sky. "It is such a beautiful night! not a cloud in the sky! Unless it's Rainbow's house i guess." She said to herself. She loved taking a stroll around this time of night.
A few minutes later, and Rarity saw Rainbow's house come into view. She walked closer and heard a small sound. She ran closer to Rainbow Dash's house. She looked up, trying to figure out what the sound was. She gasped and covered her mouth with her hoof. She saw her darling sister, Sweetie Belle falling from the sky, Rainbow Dash following suite. She couldn't say anything. She was in panic and shock. She couldn't move. Sweetie Belle fell and fell, Rainbow didn't seem to be making any effort to try and save her.(Rarity thought)
Rainbow was reaching in front of herself, trying to reach for Sweetie. Sweetie Belle was screaming her little lungs out. Sweetie looked up and tried to see Rainbow Dash. She couldn't. She gave up hope of getting caught. She felt a sharp stinging in her back. her ears started to ring. Her vision went black.
Rarity watched as her sister hit the top of tree and then slammed into the ground. Rainbow Dash landed next to her. Rarity ran over screaming "SWEETIE BELLE!!" Rainbow Dash turned around. "Oh no... Did Rarity just see that?" Rarity ran over to Sweetie and picked her up in her hoof. "SWEETIE BELLE?!! ARE YOU OKAY?!!" Rainbow's ears flattened. She knew she was going to take the blame for this one.
Rarity hugged Sweetie Belle. "SWEETIE BELLE?! CAN YOU SPEAK?!" Sweetie belle coughed. Rarity started crying. "OH SWEET CELESTIA, YOUR OKAY!!" Rarity turned to Rainbow Dash, and started to scream lecture at her.
Scootaloo was crying in the corner as Applebloom watched Rarity scream at Rainbow Dash. She turned back to Scootaloo. "Now look what you have done Scoot! Rainbow is getting in trouble, and Sweetie Belle is hurt!" Scootaloo looked down. "I know..."
Rarity walked off carrying Sweetie Belle in a saddlebag. She looked at her little sister with great worry. "Don't worry Sweetie, you are NOT going to Rainbow Dash's house again." Sweetie Belle could only cough in response.
