Spike is having a normal day with his friends, until Ember sends an urgent message.
I don't have an editor so just a warning. Ember needs Spike but she won't tell him why until they meet a very large dragon. This Dragon is known as The Nameless Dragon. Nodragon knows his real name. The Nameless Dragon is looking for Arytiss. Ember has to trick Spike to find Arytiss and bring him to The Nameless Dragon. I don't own the cover art. Discord is also a main character.
T'was a normal night. 6 main characters are having fun at the barn. Just drinking some cider with cupcakes. Which don't taste good together. Trust me. "UGHHHH!! Can you believe it? I'm on suit duty," Rainbow Dash was complaining about her once a month Wonderbolt duty. "What do you mean sugercube?" "I have to wash the uniforms for a week. It's so annoying." Applejack just shook her head, not seeing the big deal. Rarity however did, "Oh darling, that sounds truly terrible, washing those dirty, mucky, sweaty uniforms for a week?! 7 whole days!? Sounds terrible to me," "How many shows do you even do a week?" Twilight asked. "Yeah, sounds to me you have 1 day of washing," Applejack says, questioning Rarity's reasoning. A purple dragon waddles in, hoping for some cider. "Uhm Twilight? Can I have some cider?" "No. This particular cider is available to you when you turn 18," "So it has alcohol?" "Well...yeah," Spike was playing with the CMC before coming in. He just felt kinda bored playing with a bunch of 10 year olds. The conversation turned to politics, so Pinkie Pie fell asleep, and Fluttershy crept out of the conversation. "That's why the new laws on the school uniform are great," Rarity concluded. "They aren't great because Applebloom can't get on her uniform!" "Why not? She is 10 isn't she?" "Yeah, but you can't put on your clothes with just your teeth!" Rarity was a little embarrassed at the fact she forgot she was the only unicorn in the group. Twilight had magic too, but she didn't have a filly who needs uniform put on. It's all because of our new mayor,"
Filthy Rich was elected not too long ago. It was obvious that Spoiled Rich is behind it all. Everypony in Ponyville wanted him out. He was raising taxes so he and his family could get laser horn surgery. Everypony knew that Spoiled Rich had always wanted to be a unicorn. They couldn't find a way to get him out of office, and it was infuriating. The evil mare made life harder for all earth ponies, except her own daughter who still hung out with the CMC. It was terrible because more than half of the population are earth ponies.
"Twilight can't you take Mayor Filthy out of...would it be office? Town Hall. Couldn't you take him out of the job? "Don't be silly Spike, how could I do it?" The other 3 ponies immediately looked to Twilight's wings. "Well, if you haven't noticed. YOU'RE A PRINCESS!" Spike yelled getting kinda annoyed by Twilight's oblivion. Twilight blushed just now remembering she has the power to do this stuff now. "Ok, I will send a letter to Princess Celestia, but first I'm going to take Pinkie home," Twilight grabs Pinkie Pie in her magic aura and gets ready to fly off. Once she's in the air Spike shouts out, "You can teleport!!! Remember?!"
"Oh yeah!" Gone in a purple flash. "Spike you're smart for your age," Rainbow Dash says "Yeah you are really smart for 11," Spike got a little confused after hearing that. Maybe he heard Fluttershy wrong. 11? "Do you guys all think I'm 11?" They all nodded in unison wondering where he was going with this. "I'M NOT 11!" "So what, you're 12?" Rainbow Dash said rolling her eyes. "I'M 17!! How can I believe you're my friend when you don't know me at all," Spike runs off to the castle in a hurry. The others know they have to apologize, but first he has to cool off. "17. He's 17. 5 years isn't much of a difference. I thought it was just a childish crush. But in a year, he would be old enough," Rarity concludes. They all feel terrible. They don't even know their so called friends age. Fluttershy realizes that she always treated Spike as a foal, Rarity as well. Applejack and Rainbow Dash didn't but still felt bad about not knowing his age.
Spike was running to his room, crying as silently as he could. Which wasn't all that quiet. He cried loud enough for Starlight to hear him. Starlight can tell that these sobs are from Spike, so she go finds him. "Um, hey Spike. You alright?" "No. I'm not alright." "What's wrong?" "Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash think I'm 11," "11! But you're 17! How could they even-but they are your-what? How do they not know this?" "I don't know. It's probably cause I'm really short...If you don't mind I'd like to be alone "Of course," Starlight was quite irritated at the Main 6. Wait Twilight. Main 5. Pinkie was asleep so, Main 4.
Twilight was in Pinkies room putting her to bed. When she accidentally stepped on Boneless 1. The Cakes have sensitive ears. Pound and Pumpkin start crying. Loudly. "Oh dear! The twins are up again. You go up this time deary," "Ok. But next time you go up," "Ok deary," As Mr.Cake goes upstairs, Twilight panics. How can she get out of here, and how is Pinkie still asleep? "Princess Twilight Sparkle? "Mr. Cake. I'msosorrypleasedon'tbanmefromthebakery!!!" "It's alright Princess but, why are you in Pinkies room, more importantly, my home?" "Well we were hanging out and she fell asleep so I teleported here to put her to bed." Mr. Cake just nodded and headed downstairs. Twilight sighed feeling relived and finally put Pinkie in her bed. As she teleported into the castle she heard loud galloping. She ran closer to the sound, not knowing where it was coming from. Before she knew it, she had crashed into 4 frantic mares. "Girls! What are you doing here?" "Well...we might have upset Spike a little," Starlight stepped into the room looking angry. "A LITTLE? Spike is crying!" "Ok I get why that could've upset him, but tears? Even Fluttershy wouldn't cry for that." Rainbow Dash says confused. "Didn't even say, 'no offence'," Fluttershy muttered under her breath. Twilight knows 2 things that upset Spike the most. Getting Topaz, and getting mistaken for a baby. Topaz is really sour. "Did you give him topaz?" "No, why?" Applejack asked. "YOU DIDN'T KNOW HOW OLD HE WAS!" "How did you-" Twilight cut Rarity off with a blast of purple light. Now they were in Spike's and Twilight's room. Spike jumped in surprise. "Twilight! Starlight! The rest of you." He finished with a sneer. "We didn't mean to be so rude. We truly didn't know,"
After 30 minutes of apologies and a song they were all forgiven. The 4 ponies who didn't live there left and all was well. But Somewhere else it wasn't. "Ok. The letter is ready to go King," "Perfect. You know he will come right?" "Yes we are friends. But I hope he will trust me enough," "Ok, send it. I will take my leave," Back at the castle Spike wakes up, feeling a letter coming on. *URP* Spike feeling to tired to read it just holds on to it and goes back to bed.
"SPIKE WAKE UP! IM HUNGRY!" Spike groaned and rolled out of his basket. He heard a little crunch as he rolled onto the letter. "Wait someone actually did send me a letter? I thought that was a dream," He unrolled the letter so he could go downstairs and read it to Twilight but saw the words 'Dear Spike'. It must have been from Ember. The letter said 'Dear Spike, This is your friend Ember. I need you to come to the Dragon Lands. It's urgent, and you can't bring your pony friends. Come by tomorrow sundown. Your Friend and Dragon Lord, Ember'. Spike knew that he had to go today sundown since she sent the letter yesterday. He ran downstairs to show the letter to Twilight. "TWILIGHT! A letter!" Twilight, thinking the letter is for her levitates it over. As she reads it her eyes bulge out of their sockets. "You're not actually thinking about going, are you?
"I am. Why?" "You can't go without us. You're just a baby dragon. We have to protect you!" "I can protect myself. I'm not just a baby dragon. You're the main one telling me how mature I am," "Well this is different. Your mind is mature, not your body. You could get hurt!" Spike just storms out of the room, sick of being treated like a baby. As he leaves the castle, Starlight walks into the dining room with bags under her eyes. "Twilight -yawn- does Spike have breakfast ready?" "No he left because he thought I was treating him like a baby," "Why would he think that?' "Because Ember wants Spike to go to the Dragon Lands. Alone. And I won't allow it," "Why can't he go?" "Because he's just a little colt," "But just yesterday you yelled at your friends for treating him like a foal. How is this any different?" "Because...because. BECAUSE IT'S ME!" Starlight jumped a little, not expecting the outburst. She just left the room and headed towards SugarCube Corner. When she got there she saw Pinkie hugging Spike very tightly and sobbing. Spike gave her a look that said 'HELP ME'. "Pinkie what's wrong?" "SPIKE-sob-IS-hiccup-LEAVING-burp-FOREVER!" "I am not! Pinkie just took it the wrong way!" "Well Pinkie Pie, I'm sure Spike can tell us the truth," "Well I came here to get an amethyst and cream cheese bagel. I showed Pinkie the letter, and she took it the wrong way!"
Spike handed Starlight the letter for her to read. As Starlight's eyes zoomed across the page, she understood. She could understand why Twilight thought Spike couldn't handle the journey. She could understand why Pinkie Pie thought Spike was going to leave. But she couldn't understand why Ember thought Spike could make the journey to the Dragon Lands. Alone. By sundown. Ember had a teensy winsy crush on Spike. When Twilight and Starlight visited Ember, they came across a Spike shrine. It was very, very disturbing. So Starlight knew that Ember would be pretty protective of Spike. Something was not right. "Ok. Pinkie Pie, Spike would probably not be gone for that long. But this is urgent. Ember needs him," Spike nodded, trying to encourage Pinkie Pie to loosen her grip on him. Pinkie eventually set Spike down and sent them on their way. "Thanks Starlight," "Of course! I have an idea. You write to Ember telling her that you can't come without us. I'll try to see if Twilight will loosen her grip on you," "Sound good. Let's get going,"
'Dear Ember, I can't come to the Dragon Lands alone. Twilight has restricted me. Maybe if you told me the emergency Twilight would let me come. But I probably wouldn't be able to make the journey anyways. Sincerely, Your friend, Spike. Ember burped up a letter in the middle of court. "Ash, take over for me. Gotta go bye!" Ash was a young dragon. She was a little shorter than Ember, and was Garble's last marefriend. Or would it be dragoness friend. I don't really know. Ash was brown and red. Her scales brown, and spikes red. Ash was also Ember's right claw dragon. Ember however was flying as fast as she could to the hidden palace. "Dragon Lord! Has Arytiss replied?" "Yes. But I'm not sure it's what you wanted." "What do you mean?" Ember fly's up to the big green dragon's snout to show him the letter. Ember braced herself from the nameless dragons wrath. "Yes this is perfect. He is humble. If he can't come, bring him," Ember was saddened and surprised. The nameless dragon wasn't mad? Did she really have to do this. He wouldn't ever trust her again. But an order, is an order.
"Ok Starlight. I sent the letter to Ember . Will Twilight let me go?!" "She'll let you go, once you have a real reason to go to the Dragon Lands." "Don't worry. I asked about that in my letter to Ember," "Perfect!" Spike and Starlight waited for Ember's letter. They waited, and waited, and waited. It was now sundown. It was pretty clear that Spike wasn't going to the Dragon Lands. It was clear until a pair of blue feet landed on a hill. 'I'm going to get Spike. But I can't tell him why. This is annoying. I have to lie to Spike. But he'll forgive me in the end. Won't he?
Ember walks swiftly to the delicious looking castle. 'Spike is so lucky he gets to live here' She sees Starlight and Spike walking to the castle as well. Ember flies to them right before they go inside. "Ember! What are you doing here?" Spike asks. Ember forces down a blush. "No time to explain right now. Can you guys get all your friends?" Starlight nods and is gone in a pink flash. A pink flash later, the main 6 are in front of the castle. "What was that for? I was in the middle of practice!" Rainbow Dash said. "Starlight, there better be a good reason why I got interrupted. I was reading Parenting for Dummies," Starlight looks at Ember with a look that says, 'get on with it!' Ember clears her throat and starts, "We may have found something about Spike's parents," Every eye bulged out of their sockets. "MY PARENTS ARE STILL ALIVE!" Spike was so happy, he just kept jumping around Twilight and the others. "Wait, don't get your hopes too high. We don't know just yet," Spike's smile faltered a little bit. Twilight thought it over. 'Spike would be in capable hands. But should I really trust Ember after seeing that shrine? Maybe if I just-perfect' Twilight had her plan ready. She had an evil grin on her face as she says, "Yes. I guess Spike can go,"
Starlight was ready to argue with Twilight. "Spike has to-wait, you said he can go?" "Yes I did. I think he deserves to know his parents," Starlight was just looking at Twilight in surprise. Something was wrong. Twilight looked like she was ready to kill somepony. And Twilight was stubborn, almost as stubborn as Applejack. One little thing couldn't change her mind. Twilight was going to plan something and Starlight needed to figure out what it is. "Ember it's already night. Why don't you stay in the castle until it's time to go," Spike says leading Ember to the castle. Spike was blinded by happiness. He wasn't paying attention to Twilight. "By the way Twilight, you and your other friends can't come," Ember says, not looking back. Twilight just walked into the castle, following them. Once Spike and Ember were all the way inside, Twilight motioned for her friends to follow her. Twilight led them all to the throne room. "I have a plan," Twilight said as they all sat down. "Wherever Spike is going, we will follow him," The others gasped at the absurd idea. "Hear me out. Ember is a friend of the ponies. But can we really trust her with Spike's life?" No one said yes.
In Spike's room. "So. Spike. Anything unusual happening lately?" "YEA! One time..."
FLASHBACK
Spike was going about his business running some errands, before he saw a burning house! Spike being the only fire proof being, went inside. He was surprised to see Derpy and Ditzy. He had to save them (most importantly, Derpy). He went in. He felt the heat on his scales. To his surprise the heat wasn't that strong. Spike picked up Derpy who was carrying Ditzy. But before Spike could make it outside, a ring of fire circled around them. The ring was tall so he couldn't go through it without burning the ponies. His instincts kicked in and he blew a huge breath of...wait for it...ICE! 'I didn't know I could do that! But whatever, let's save these ponies.' Spike walked out of the house carrying 2 ponies. The crowd that gathered around cheered. He set down Derpy, and Ditzy. "Thank you so much! We would've died without you. I don't know why a unicorn couldn't just levitate us out. But plot convenience!" Everyone was just looking at Derpy Hooves. She was almost as weird as Pinkie Pie. Spike was still confused on how he did that. Dragons blew fire, not ice. He had to talk to Ember about that when he had the chance. END FLASHBACK
"So, do you know anything about dragons breathing ice?" "NO!" Ember said quickly. "I mean, I don't know but I can ask my dad," Spike nods his head and passes Ember a quill and a scroll. 'Nameless Dragon, I think I know where to find him. I know where the Great Darastrix is.-Ember'. "Ok Spike, just focus on my dad. You know big ole Torch!" Spike focused on Torch. It was kind of hard to forget a dragon like that. He sent the letter with ease.
Torch was talking to his wife, Sapphire, when he burped up a letter. "WHO DARE SEND ME A LETTER! Oh it's Ember!" Torch read the letter and immediately took to the sky. He sped through the Dragon Lands before he saw The Hidden Palace. He landed and hurriedly walked into the palace. "Nameless Dragon! A letter from my daughter has come to you!" The Nameless Dragon got up from his throne, and picked up the tiny scroll. "SHE HAS FOUND HIM!" The Nameless Dragon yelled happily. "EMERALD, DARLING, AMY TOO! LET US REJOICE!" The Nameless Dragon's wife, and daughter came out. Emerald, his wife was sleek and thin. She was about 2 feet shorter than her husband. Amy, short for Amethyst was about the same height as Smolder. Just a few inches shorter. "You really found the Great Darastrix?" The Nameless Dragon just nodded and kept on rejoicing.
"So. Who is coming with me to spy on Spike?" "Well, if he was as awesome as me, he would be able to survive. But he's not," "Oh I will come! Little Spikey-Wikey all alone, in the wilderness!" "Did we forget Ember?" Starlight's question became unheard. "I think we all should respect Ember's wishes. And ya'll better pipe down before they come and hear you," "YEA! I agree with Applejack. Spying on our friends is what no good meanies would do," "Well I agree with Rarity, and Dashie. Spike is so young. We need to protect him," "Did everyone just forget the song we sang yesterday, about Spike being 17?" Starlight asked. But once again everypony's ears were closed. "Ok then. Rarity, Rainbow, and Fluttershy. Let's get packing for the journey tomorrow!" 2 uninvited guests were there, but only 1 showed them self. "You 4 are terrible friends!" A voice from nowhere exclaimed. Discord popped into existence. "Really, spying on Spike? How rude," "But this whole time you've been spying on us," "Yea, that's what makes it funny. You're one of those people who never get the joke," Twilight just blushed and ignored Discord. They continued planning. Once the 4 disobedient mares left the room the others started planning. "We have to follow them," Starlight said. "Why?" Pinkie asked. "So they don't get in trouble,". Little did they now Ash was listening. She was on strict orders from the Dragon Lord and The Nameless Dragon. The ponies would be following Spike and Ember, and Ash would be following them.
"Wow Spike, I didn't know you could cook," Ember said while eating sapphire pancakes. Twilight, Starlight, and Ember were stuffing themselves with blueberry (and sapphire) pancakes. Meanwhile, Spike was cleaning the kitchen. "Ok. Spike get your bags ready. We have to leave before sunset," Ember said while getting up. Spike took his apron off and ran upstairs. Starlight, Twilight and Ember just sat there in silence. They weren't really friends without Spike. Heck, Ember couldn't even remember their names. Suddenly, Ember burped up a letter. She read it in her head, and glared at Twilight. "I'm going to the bathroom," Ember rushed up the stairs. She kept on running until she heard zipping noises from a nearby room. "Spike we have to-" she stopped once she saw the dog bed. "Spike, I thought your phoenix became an adult already?" "Yeah PeeWee is out of the house," "Then why do you have a dog bed in your room?" "MY ROOM! You make me laugh. This is Twilight's room, I sleep in the tiny bed," Ember was horrified. Was Twilight keeping Spike as a pet, like ponies did before? No no no, the Dragons and Ponies were in an alliance. They wouldn't do anything this cruel, right?
"I realized we need to leave earlier than expected. Pack light, ok?" "Yeah, I just realized I don't have many other belongings than my comics," Ember just snorted a puff of smoke and left the room to talk to Twilight.
"TWILIGHT SPARKLE! WHY DOES SPIKE SLEEP IN A DOG BED," Starlight knew what was about to happen and put a bubble of silence around them. "SPIKE IS A PET TO YOU ISN'T HE?" Twilight looked very offended, "I LOVE HIM MORE THAN YOU EVER COULD. HE IS NOT MY PET!" "Who does all the cooking?" "Spike," "Who does all the cleaning?" "Spike," "WOW HE'S A SLAVE. SO MUCH BETTER THAN A PET!" Ember motioned at Starlight to take down the bubble. As soon as she did, Ember rushed upstairs to check on Spike. "Spike we need to leave right now," The letter Ember had gotten was from a guard dragon. They had told Ember that the ponies were always watching, always listening. "Ok, but why?" Ember just ignored the question and opened a window. But before flying out, Spike wrote a note to Twilight saying he had to leave early. Then Ember picked up Spike, and flew out the window.
Ember landed in the Everfree forest. "Come on, I have a campsite ready," Ember and Spike walked until they say Ash cooking some deer. "My Lordship, Spike," Ash bowed to Ember, and shook Spike's claw. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Ash. Ember's right claw dragon. I will also be escorting you to the Dragon Lands," Spike didn't like the vibe coming off from Ash. But, Ember trusted her so would he would try.
In the castle, Twilight was venting to Starlight. "AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, EMBER VISITS AND SAYS SPIKE IS MY PET OR A SLAVE!" "Yup, let it all out. I'm going to check on Ember and Spike," Starlight went into Spike's bedroom. 'Where is he? He wouldn't leave without telling us'. She searched his whole bedroom but couldn't find anything. On her way out she saw a note one the door. "TWILIGHT! COME LOOK AT THIS!" A purple flash later, Twilight and Starlight were reading the note together. 'Dear Friends, Ember and I have to leave early. She says that we will meet my siblings halfway there. COOL RIGHT! I wish I could've been at my farewell party. Have fun!! And learn how to cook without me.' Twilight just gritted her teeth and stomped out the room.
"Is everypony ready!??" Pinkie Pie asked while yelling. "HERE TWILIGHT COMES!" Applejack yelled peeking out of SugarCube Corner. All of the ponies went to their hiding places, and got ready. When Twilight and Starlight walked in everypony came out and yelled, "SURPRISE SP-". They all stopped mid sentence, not seeing Spike. "Twilight darling, where is Spike?" Twilight just looked away and shoved the note in Rarity's face. Pinkie Pie took the note off Rarity's face, and put it on a nearby table. After they all read the note, they discussed. "NOOOOOOO!!! I WAS RIGHT!! SPIKEY WILL BE GONE FOREVER!!!" Pinkie cried while getting Applejacks fur wet. "Spike won't be gone forever, and you're not making Twilight, Rarity, or Fluttershy feel any better," Rainbow Dash said. It was a sad sight to see for the ponies of Ponyville. It was saddening because, if the Main 6 are having a crying fest, Bon Bon can't get her cupcake without feeling awkward. Twilight was crying on Starlight, Pinkie was crying on Applejack, Fluttershy on Rainbow Dash (no shipping fuel) and Rarity-wait. Rarity got her fainting couch from...somewhere and also got a tub of ice cream from the back of SugarCube Corner.
Ember and Spike were making small talk as they ate gems. Ash was looking around as if something could pop out any second. "So, did you ever feel like a slave with the ponies?" Spike was very confused. Ember totally changed the subject randomly. Her last question was 'Are you excited to meet your family'. "Um no, not really. It is quite annoying when Twilight and our friends make me clean up the messes that they make, but no," "Dragon Lord Ember, I need to go...find food!" Ember nodded knowing what Ash was going to do. "Spike, do you still have a crush on-what's her name-that white unicorn?" "Rarity? Oh, kinda. She's pretty and all but it's obvious it's not gonna work out. Also, she seduces stallions,". Ember was a little surprised at that last sentence. 'A pony? Seducing males? Kind little ponies seducing stallions. And one of the Elements of Harmony does it.' Ember was happy that he was over it. She had a chance. "Why do you ask?" Spike asked. Ember froze, not expecting the question. In this universe Spike wasn't stupid and saw the signs, unlike every other story ever. "Uh...cause...OH your older brother that I met wanted to know. So yeah,"
"Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that dragon is looking for us!" 6 ponies and a draconequus were hiding in a bush. They were hiding from Ash. Ash's amazing sense of smell led her to the main 6, Starlight, and Discord. Twilight cast an invisibility spell over them. Ash was looking around and passed over the group. They held their breaths afraid of the scary looking dragon. She passed over them and got ready to leave. "I can see you," Ash said, then flapped her wings, going off into the darkening sky.
"NO! No, no, no! I can't," Spike shouted in fear. Ember was offering Spike some meat. It had been a day later, in the afternoon. The 3 dragons were hungry and had run out of gems. Ash found some meat after she ran into the ponies. Ember had always wondered why Spike was so small even though he was almost her age. She finally figured it out, he wasn't eating meat! Meat is an essential part of a Dragons' diet. That's how they grew taller and stronger. Gems only keep the fire in their furnace. The New 8 were watching from a bush, proud of Spike for not eating meat. "Spike, haven't you wondered why you aren't growing taller?" Spike nodded his head. "It's because you haven't eaten meat. Those ponies aren't feeding you correctly," Twilight looked heartbroken. I mean wouldn't you if you just found out you haven't been taking care of someone you love right. Spike reluctantly picked up the meat. He gagged. "I don't know," Ash impatiently tapped her foot against the ground. There were a few minutes of Spike trying to get his mouth close to the meat. A few minutes more. And 10 more minutes. Ash just flew over there and stuffed the meat in his mouth. Spikes eyes widened, then closed. 'I hate to admit it but, this food is amazing! How have I never had this before'
"Do you like it or what?" Ash asked. Everyone waited in anticipation for his answer. "I-I-I love it!" Meanwhile, the ponies, (and draconequus) were terrified. (Mostly Fluttershy) What if Spike came back and he wanted to eat them? What if he never came back? What if he wanted to come back but Ember was keeping him hostage!? "Twilight, I know what you're thinking. It's not gonna happen though. Spike and Ember are our friends. They would never hurt us," Applejack said. As Spike finished eating, Ash pulled Ember to the side. "Dragon Lord Ember. I saw them, there were 2 pink ponies, a white pony, a lavender pony, an orange pony, a yellow pony, a blue pony, and some weird-looking deformed thing," Ember thought about this. 'The only way to get the ponies off our tails is to hurry up and go to the Dragon Lands.' "Spike we need to get going," Ember said. Spike just nodded and got his backpack.
It had been a long time walking for the young dragons(and ponies...and draconequus). About 4 hours. "Dragon Lord Ember, can't you just hold Spike, and then we can fly?" "Spike, would you be fine with that?" Ember asked. "I'm pretty sure I can handle an experienced flier if I've been on Twilight before," Behind them, hid in the invisible spell, they were all thinking different things. Twilight: I am shocked and appalled. HOW COULD HE SAY THAT ABOUT MY FLYING! Applejack: I hope he doesn't choose to fly. Then we won't be able to follow him. Rainbow Dash: There's something off about that "ash dragon". Fluttershy: *About to vomit because he eats meat* Rarity: *Has fainted because Spike ate meat* Pinkie Pie: *?* Starlight: I don't like what's going on. Something about it isn't right. Discord: Wait...Ash looks familiar. OF COURSE!! I hope Spike comes out of this alive.
It had been been a week. Everything was going as planned for Ember. The ponies were following the dragons. Ash was ever so often checking in on the New 8. You know, creeping them out. Spike was getting taller from eating meat and more toned from the constant walking. It was time for Spike to meet his "older siblings" At this time Spike was about as tall as Ember. Ember was falling for him more each day. Spike saw the signs but with his self-confidence low, he couldn't believe that the Dragon Lord would like him. Ash was becoming more and more suspicious each day. We'll just go and see how the New 8 are doing.
"THEY WALK SOOO MUCH!" Rainbow Dash complained. The ponies(and Discord) were constantly walking. "I truly don't know how these dragons are so hardy and have everlasting endurance." Rarity says looking so done with it. Discord is just floating not feeling the need to walk. Rainbow Dash is too tired to fly. Twilight was looking at her books where she was writing down everything Ember and Ash said. "Spike should be meeting his older siblings soon," Twilight said. Starlight, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie were floating like Discord. "HEYYY, why'd you agree to help them and not me. And the others," Rainbow asked. "Well I believe you don't deserve to float," Discord said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "FLUTTERSHY," Rarity yelled. Rarity was trying to get Fluttershy to use her charm over Discord to make them fly too.
"Um...ok. Wow...Dissy? You are looking very......Ummm..nice?" Discord looked like he was going to burst out laughing. Rarity face hoofed. "That's not how you do it,"
"So Spike. Do you know anything about the Draconic language?" Ash asks. "No. I only know Ponish," Ash looks very offended for some reason. "How could no one teach you the language of the dragon?" Spike just looks to Ember for help. 'This means I have to train him more if we are going to send him to The Nameless Dragon.' "It's alright Spike, I'll teach you!" Before Ember can start teaching him, Ash stops them. "There is someone here."
