> Chapter 1-One Crazy Cruise

The Rainbooms haven't been this excited in a long time. They are finally getting another chance to go on another cruise vacation. Ever since the last one where Twilight, Sunset, and Rainbow encountered the Storm King's Staff and were transported to Equestria through a pit of magical quicksand, they've been a bit hesitant to go on another one. But ever since then, things have quietened down on the magical side of things. School is finished for the semester and the whole group was looking forward to the break.

Rainbow, in particular, was looking forward to the rest. "Finally, the cruise is here. I've been waiting for this since forever" said Rainbow. Sunset and Twilight just smiled and shook their heads bashfully. 

"Me too! I hope this one goes better than last time. Hopefully, we won't have to deal with Equestrian Magic this time around." Sunset responded. The incident with The Storm King's Staff was still present in the back of her mind. Just when things seemed to be normal again, magic always seemed to turn up in the most unexpected ways.

The Main 7 decided to do some activities on the while they were heading to the docks.

Twilight and Sunset decided to rest on the journey to the docks. Even though they know that they will have the entire duration of the cruise to rest and relax, the drive is taking a bit longer than they expected. Sunset, however, is remaining ever-present and alert for any signs of Equestrian Magic. The feeling in her gut tells her that it could turn up again on this cruise like last time, and Sunset often goes with what her gut tells her. But, she puts her concerns to the back of her mind and just wants to enjoy the break, away from all the stress and chaos of school.

After a while, the group eventually reaches the docks where their cruise ship is still boarding. Sunset and Twilight are woken up by Rainbow.
"Hey Sunset, Twilight, we're here," said Rainbow. Sunset's eyes flutter open and she notices the ship not far away from where they were parked. Twilight is still napping, so Sunset gently shakes her awake.

"Twilight, we're here. Wake up," said Sunset. The shaking and the statement from Sunset are enough to wake Twilight up. Twilight lets out a yawn and both of them step outside the minibus they took to stretch and wake up a bit more. "Well girls, let us get our stuff, our tickets, and board the ship for a well-deserved break," said Sunset.

"Yeah, let's go," Rainbow said giddily.

As the Rainbooms boarded the ship, no-one noticed a faint glow, not far from where they were boarding. Sunset, however, still has a feeling that somehow, Equestrian Magic will turn up like on the previous cruise.

A short while later, girls have boarded the ship and have gotten settled into their cabins. The ship's intercom system plays a small jingle and the captain introduced themselves and the crew and says that the crew is ready to assist the passengers to make their cruise as relaxing as possible. The captain then says that they are all ready for departure. The ship's horn blows and the vessel starts to slowly move away from the dock.

"Off we go," Rainbow said giddily. The Rainbooms now have the entire duration of the cruise to rest, relax, and recharge. Sunset, however still has a feeling that strange things will happen. 

"Yeah, off we go," Sunset says warily. Twilight notices Sunsets slightly hushed voice and tries to reassure her.

"Sunset, do you think that Equestrian Magic will show up in some way on this cruise?" asked Twilight. Sunset nods but doesn't say a word. "Calm down Sunset. Let us just forget about our worries and just enjoy the cruise for all its worth," said Twilight, which lifted Sunsets spirits, causing her to crack a smile. 

"Yeah, maybe I'm overthinking this a bit too much. Let's just kick back and enjoy the cruise," said Sunset excitedly.

A few hours later, the ship is far out to sea, with nothing, but water visible for as far as the eye can see in any direction. The girls take full advantage of the activities and services that the cruise is providing them in for order them to have a relaxing experience. Sunset, Twilight, Rarity, and Fluttershy are relaxing by the pool, Whilst Rainbow, Applejack and Pinkie are swimming in the pool on the deck. The sun is shining and the seas are calm, with very few waves. So far, the cruise is going well for the Rainbooms, with nothing untoward happening, but the girls don't know that things are going to get very confusing and that this will be a cruise that they won't forget about any time soon.

As Twilight and Sunset were relaxing, they didn't notice some Equestrian magic heading towards them.

The magic seeped into their bodies, but the magic didn’t immediately change them in some way. Sunset and Twilight felt the magic seep in, but when there was no immediate effect or change, they went back to relaxing.

What the girls didn't know was that this magic was special, in that it was long-delay magic, one of the rarest types of Equestrian magic. This kind of magic doesn't take effect on the affected person or pony immediately but instead takes effect after a certain amount of time, usually when the affected person or pony is sleeping. This kind of magic is difficult to master and dangerous when in the hands or hooves of the wrong creature. This batch of magic, however, isn't dangerous to either of the girls it has affected, but they will be in for a surprise, once the magic has taken its unusual effects.

A few hours later, the girls have just finished dinner and dessert. All of them have had an amazing first day on the cruise and are looking forward to the rest of the journey. But for now, they just want to get back to their cabins and get ready for bed. Twilight and Sunset are sharing a cabin together and the other girls sorted themselves out into a pair and a trio. Sunset still remembers feeling some magic seep into her earlier in the day and raises the topic with Twilight.
" Hey Twilight, did you feel something strange happen earlier today when we were relaxing by the pool?" she asked.

Twilight responds "Yeah, I felt something seep into me around that time. Do you think it could be Equestrian Magic?' she asked.

"Maybe, it felt like magic, but it could have been our geodes releasing some magic, and then it reabsorbed the magic through our skin. If it were magic from another source, it would normally take effect immediately." Sunset responded.

"Yeah, maybe you're right. Let's just forget about it and enjoy the cruise," said Twilight.

The girls then changed in their sleepwear, brushed their teeth, and hopped into bed. They said goodnight to each other and eventually drifted off to sleep. But they are in for a shock in time, after the magic from before takes effect.
> Chapter 2-The Two Tiny, Sunny, and Sparkly Toddlers

The sun rises over the vast expanse of the ocean. The morning sky is clear, and the ocean air has a crisp, cool chill to it. The crew of the cruise ship is checking the vessel to make sure that everything is ready for the passengers for the second day of the cruise. The activity directors are making sure that all the activities have all the proper equipment and safety instruction signs, the kitchen staff are hard at work preparing breakfast for the passengers, and the other crew members are working hard making sure that everything on the ship is working normally and conducting routine maintenance.

All the Rainbooms are still in their cabins. Sunset and Twilight, in particular, are still sleeping. The sun starts to poke through the windows and lands on Sunset's still-closed eye. This, along with the motion of the ship is enough to rouse Sunset from her slumber. Sunset shifts the covers of her, noticing that they felt heavier than before. She stretched out, yawning as she did so. She then noticed that the room seemed much larger than it was last night. She swung her legs over the edge of the bed, only to find that they couldn't reach the floor. This made Sunset feel confused and a bit worried. She looked over into a mirror on the other side of the room and noticed that she was now the size of a toddler.

"Twilight, Twilight, wake up!" exclaimed Sunset. Twilight is roused from her slumber and looks at Sunset, then looks into the mirror and noticed that she was also the size of a toddler.

The two toddlers gasped! "What's happened to us?" asked Twilight.

"I don't know, Twilight," Sunset replied.

Sunset and Twilight were both still trying to process the change that they'd undergone, whilst trying to figure out how this could have happened. Sunset then has an epiphany.

"Hey Twilight, remember that feeling we had when we were relaxing by the pool yesterday? When we felt something seep into our bodies?" asked Sunset.

"Yeah, I remember. We assumed it was just our geodes releasing and reabsorbing some of their magic," said Twilight.

"Obviously we were wrong. It must have been Equestrian Magic from another source," said Sunset.

"But should the magic has taken effect straight away?" asked Twilight.

"Yes, it should have. But it could've been a rare form of magic I read about back in Equestria. Its called Long-Delay Magic." said Sunset.

"How does that magic even work?" asked Twilight.

"Basically it's a form of magic that takes effect after a certain amount of time, usually while the affected pony is sleeping. Its quite difficult to conjure, but it does exist," explained Sunset.

Twilight found Sunset's explanation plausible, considering that Sunset has more experience with Equestrian magic than anyone else in the Rainbooms. But Twilight and Sunset then realized that they needed to find a way to reverse the effects of the magic as soon as possible.

As Twilight and Sunset try to think of a way to turn themselves back to normal, they hear a knock at the door.

"Twilight, Sunset, time to get up," said Rainbow.

" Oh no, how are we going to explain this to the girls?" asked Twilight.

"I don't see any other way than to be upfront with them," Sunset replied.

" I suppose that's the best option rather than trying to come up with a convoluted reason as to why we're like this," Twilight responded.

"Rainbow, can you please get the others and bring them in here?" asked Sunset.

"Yeah, I can do that, but why?" asked Rainbow.

"We'll explain when you're all here with us. Please just go get them quickly," asked Sunset.

"Alright, I'll get the girl and be back here ASAP.," said Rainbow, as she went off to get the rest of the Rainbooms.

Sunset and Twilight are still trying to think of a way to get back to normal when Twilight asks Sunset a question.

" Hey Sunset, do you think we should write to Princess Twilight to see if she can figure out a way to turn us back to our normal selves?"

"That's just what I was thinking we should do. I kept the journal on the bedside table, just in case we needed it. But I think I'll need your help to move it since with how small we are, I think our strength will be significantly lower." said Sunset.

"OK, Let's try and get the journal onto the bed, so we can write to Princess Twilight, and see if she can figure out a way to change us back to normal," Twilight responded.

Sunset and Twilight managed to get the journal onto the bed after about a minute of struggling. With the transformation came the negative effects of being a toddler like reduced strength and balance, but they hadn't suffered diminished intelligence and motor skills. Apparently, the magic only affected them physically, and not mentally. Sunset had a bit of trouble gripping the pen and needed to use both hands to stay steady on the page. Sunset then started writing.

"Dear Princess Twilight,
Apologies if I've caught you at a bad time, but I need you to look up some information about log-delay magic. Me and this world's Twilight have been turned into toddlers. From what we can tell, it only affected us physically and not mentally.

We suspected that we absorbed some Equestrian Magic yesterday and it took effect while we were sleeping. Can you please find out any information about long-delay magic and tell us if it will eventually wear off or if we need to do something to change back?

Regards, Sunset Shimmer."

Sunset then closed the journal. She knew Princess Twilight would get the message. All Twilight and her had to do were waiting for the reply. Just then, they heard a knock at the door.

"Hey Sunset, Twilight, I've got the girls, can we come in?" asked Rainbow.

"Come on in, we've got a lot of explaining to do," replied Sunset.

When the rest of the girls got inside the cabin, the got quite a shock! The other five members of the Rainbooms can't believe what they're seeing.

"Twilight, Sunset, what happened to you both? You're both the size of toddlers! " Rainbow said loudly.

"Long story short, we both absorbed some Equestrian Magic yesterday by the pool and it physically changed us into toddlers," explained Sunset.

"But we saw you two were completely normal for all of yesterday. Wouldn't the magic have taken effect straight away?" asked Fluttershy.

"We asked ourselves that very question, and Sunset said that it might've been Long-Delay Magic. Basically, it takes effect after a certain amount of time, and it must've taken effect on us while we were sleeping." Twilight responded.

"Is there any way we can help to try and undo the effects?" asked Applejack.

"Sunset has sent a message to Princess Twilight, asking her to look up any information she can. All we can really do right now is wait for her reply," said Twilight.

Just then, the journal started to glow brighter than before.

"That must be her response. Rarity, can you please bring the journal over to me?" asked Sunset.

"Of course darling. Let's hope she's found a solution to this strange happening," said Rarity.

And with that, Rarity grabbed the journal as Sunset asked.

Sunset opened the journal to the page where Princess Twilight's response was written.

Dear Sunset,
I got your message while I was in the castle library, so I was able to quickly lookup any possible information about long-delay magic. From what I found, it does eventually wear off after a certain amount of time, but I couldn't find any specific amount. It seems like it chooses when to wear off and no external influence can change it. Apart from that, I, unfortunately, can provide very little assistance to your situation. I would suggest that you try and make the best of this unusual situation until the magic wears off.
Kind regards, Princess Twilight Sparkle.

"Well, its good to know that the magic will eventually wear off, but still this could be a problem while we're on board," said Twilight.

"Yeah. We may have to either keep you guys here until the magic goes away, which I don't believe is a good idea or put you two in the ship's daycare center with all the other young kids," said Rainbow.

"I agree. Keeping us cooped up in here means that Twilight and I will be bored out of our minds, but people who saw us as teenagers yesterday may start to ask questions about what's happened to us. But then again, Princess Twilight did tell us to try and make the best of the situation." said Sunset.

"Yeah. We should find things for all of us to do together so that we can more effectively explain the situation in case people start to ask questions. Plus, if we're all together, we'll be able to keep watch over you two better." said Rainbow.

"You're right, Even if our options are now much more limited. We can still make this cruise memorable for the right reasons. I just hope we aren't stuck like after we leave the cruise at its conclusion. But enough moping, let's have some fun." said Sunset.

The other members of the Rainbooms helped Twilight and Sunset off the bed and went to see if they could find anyplace on the ship which would have clothes that could fit Twilight and Sunset. After a while, they found a store that had what they needed. With Sunset and Twilight now clothed more appropriately for the situation, they set out to have some fun and make what they could of the weird situation they're now in.
> Chapter 3-Having Some Fun Answers

There is a party happening in the main social hub of the ship. The party, in question, had only just started about an hour earlier. The Rainbooms decided to take Sunset and Twilight there and started to think of answers they could use if people started to ask questions about Sunset and Twilight.

A man who was lounging on a chair saw Sunset and Twilight. He saw the toddler-sized girls and thought his brain was playing tricks on him. He saw them yesterday by the pool and swore they were taller then. Confused, he asked Rarity what had happened to them.

It makes sense that anyone who saw Twilight and Sunset by the pool the day before as a teenager sized would start to ask the girls questions about what was going on with Sunset and Twilight.

Rarity explained what had happened.

"Well, sir," she began. "What we do know is that long-delay magic caused them to turn into toddlers this morning."

"Go on," said the man, who was interested.

Rarity went on to explain the situation to the gentleman.

"Well darling, not many people know this, but magic from another world called Equestria has been seeping into our world. Though you would probably think that the situation is completely absurd and …" Rarity said before she was interrupted

"Not at all. I was on that cruise where everyone got sent there due to the damage caused by, I think they called it The Storm King's Staff. I'll tell you, it was a weird experience being a pony for a few hours, but still, I know and am aware that magic exists in this world." the man replied.

Rarity then felt a sense of relief. "Oh thank goodness. I thought you would have thought I was talking crazy stories. But yes, my friends Twilight and Sunset were turned into toddlers by some stray Long-Delay magic overnight. We talking with a friend of ours in Equestria and she said that the magic will eventually wear off, but we don't know when that will happen. We can only hope that it will wear off before the cruise docks back home." said Rarity.

"Hopefully that happens. Lots of people still don't believe what happened on the last cruise ever happened and thought that the passengers were talking nonsense. Has it changed them mentally, as well as physically, or are the effects only physical?" the man asked Rarity.

"The effects are only physical, thank goodness. I'm not sure what we would do if they were affected mentally. Still, we're are going to try and help Sunset and Twilight make the most of the cruise so that they have some good memories of this vacation." Rarity replied.

"I may be able to help there. Have your friends and yourself meet me at my cabin tomorrow afternoon, just after lunch. My cabin number is 042 on deck 3. If any crew asks you what you're doing up there, tell them that you're meeting someone in cabin 042. They'll know what you're talking about and will let you go" said the man.

"Well that's very generous of you good sir, but are you sure that we won't be intruding on your personal business? We wouldn't want to interrupt you if you were doing anything important." Rarity asked.

"Trust me, you won't be interrupting anything. I may have a way of making this cruise memorable for your affected friends." the man replied.

"Ok, I'll tell my friends and we'll hopefully be seeing you tomorrow afternoon. Have a good day sir" Rarity said, before heading back to the area the Rainbooms were congregating at.

"And to you, m'lady." the man replied to Rarity before heading to the restaurant for a meal.

Rarity heads back to where the Rainbooms are congregating at. The proposal from the man she'd talked to is racing through her mind. She's feeling hesitant about telling her friends about it, out of fear that they may not be willing to risk showing Twilight and Sunset to an unknown third-party. Sunset is the first to notice Rarity re-joining the group after she had wandered off.

"Hey Rarity, where were you. I noticed that you were talking to someone near the lounging area. Do you know them?" asked Sunset.

"No. I don't know the kind gentleman. He saw you and Twilight had changed. He was at the pool area yesterday and noticed our unusual situation. He asked me what had happened to you two and I gave him a basic explanation of what's happened." said Rarity

"YOU WHAT!!!" shouted Rainbow, who instantly quietened down. "Rarity, are you crazy! Why would you talk about what's happening with Sunset and Twilight to a random stranger? He must've thought you were talking crazy." Rainbow said firmly.

"Actually, he believed everything. He was on the cruise where you, Sunset, and Twilight got the Storm Kings Staff back to Equestria. When you had to go through Equestria to get back home, he was among the passenger who now firmly believe that magic exists in this world. I told him that Sunset and Twilight were affected by long-delay magic and that was had already contacted Princess Twilight and that we were simply waiting for the magic to wear off." Rarity explained.

"Well, that's a big relief." said Twilight, "At least there are people on this cruise who would believe what we say if we have to explain it to others. Still, our options for entertainment are now quite limited due to our current situation. There really isn't much that we can do now, other than wait, and hope that the magic wears off before this cruise is over." said Twilight."

" I may have a solution to that darling. The man I talked to said that he may be able to help us make some good memories of this cruise. He invited us up to his cabin tomorrow afternoon, after lunch. He said his cabin is number 042 on deck 3." said Rarity.

"Deck 3? That's the first-class deck. Are you sure we'll be able to go up there sugarcube? The crew may turn us back because we don't have the privileges to be up there." said Applejack.

"The man said to tell the crew that we are going to meet someone in cabin 042. Apparently, they'll know what were are referring to and will let us through," said Rarity.

"Are you sure we won't be intruding on his personal business? I would hate to interrupt someone if what they do is very important. I don't think I would be able to forgive myself. What if he changes his mind and tells us to leave? What it..." Fluttershy said panickily until Rarity cut her off.

"Fluttershy darling, relax. He said that we won't be intruding on anything. He wants to help us make this cruise memorable for us. you have nothing to worry about." said Rarity calmly.

"I hope you're right Rarity. The last thing we want is to cause trouble with a wealthy passenger. Let's hope that this man is being sincere about wanting to make this cruise somewhat memorable for us." said Sunset.





A few hours later, after dinner and some more socializing in the party area, The Rainbooms headed back to their cabins after the fairly hectic day they've had. Rarity and Fluttershy decided to help Twilight and Sunset change into their pajamas. The magic also affected some of their pajamas, so that they would have no issues with sleepwear until the magic wears off. Twilight is still a bit skeptical about the offer that the man who talked to Rarity made. She still has her concerns about the situation.

After Sunset and she were dressed with the help of Rarity and Fluttershy, after the other two girls had retired to their respective cabins, she raised her concerns with Sunset.

"Sunset, I'm still not entirely sure that we should take that man up on his offer. What if he changes his mind? What if he decides to not help us make some memories? What if...!" Twilight asked until Sunset interrupted.

"Twilight, calm down. I have my own doubts as well, but I believe that we should see if this gentleman can make this trip memorable. If he's genuine, we may have a good time after all. If not, …well I really can't make a comparison" Sunset replied.

"I suppose you're right. Let's see if this offer from him is genuine. I guess I'm still in a bit of shock from our situation. Hopefully, a good night's sleep will calm my nerves." said Twilight.

"Me too. Hopefully, this magic will wear off soon. Once it does, we'll be able to fully relax again. But right now, let's just look forward to our hopefully good day tomorrow. Night Twilight." said Sunset as she drifted to sleep.

"Good night Sunset," Twilight replied, taking off her glasses and drifted off to sleep.





The sun rises over the vast expanse of the ocean on the third day of the cruise. Twilight and Sunset are still sleeping in their cabin, still in their magically altered forms. Eventually, a sunbeam lands on Sunset's eye and rouses her from her slumber. She sits up and stretches her arms to get her blood pumping. She looks over into the mirror and notices that Twilight and she still haven't changed back. She lets out a sharp exhale, annoyed that the magic hasn't worn off yet.

"I seriously hope that this magic wears off soon. I really don't want to get off the ship like this once arrive back at the docks." Sunset thought to herself.

Sunset then feels the bedsheets jostle and looks over her left shoulder and notices Twilight waking up from her slumber. Twilight then sits up, does some stretches, and rubs her eyes. She then reaches over to the bedside table and grabs her glasses and puts them on. She then sees Sunset looking at her.

"Morning Sunset," she says to Sunset, before looking into the mirror and noticing that they're still toddler-sized. "Still haven't changed back yet! I'm starting to get worried that we may not change back to normal until after we get home," said Twilight.

"I've got my concerns as well Twilight. I'm just as worried as you are in regards to our situation. But until we either get back or change back to normal, we really can't do much other than try and make the best of the situation. Besides, we've got that meet up with that gentleman Rarity was talking to yesterday. Let's hope he can provide us with some good memories of this trip." Sunset replied.

"Yeah, you've got a point there. Hopefully, he has a solution to our entertainment problem or something else that can make our situation a little bit more bearable. I'm still worried that we could be interrupting any business he may have, even though he said that we wouldn't be interrupting anything." Twilight said to Sunset.

"Well, we can only wait until we're at his cabin to find out how he can help us with our situation. Right now, let's just wait for the girls to come and help us get changed and go get some breakfast and we'll go and hopefully have a good time today," said Sunset.

"Yeah. Let's see what happens today. Hopefully, we won't be like this for much longer, But we'll see if we can make today worth the time and effort." Twilight replied.
> Chapter 4-Chatting to A New Friend

A few minutes later, Applejack and Fluttershy arrive at Sunset and Twilight's cabin to help them get changed for the day's meetup. After a few more minutes, all 4 girls emerged from the cabin all dressed and cleaned up. The Rainbooms then all got together and headed to the dining area to get breakfast. So far, apart from the man that Rarity to the day before, very few people have questioned the Rainbooms about Twilight and Sunset. This gives the girls a small sense of relief since they were initially concerned about them being questioned about the current situation.

After breakfast, the girls headed out to the pool on the main entertainment deck. Rarity is relaxing by the pool, Rainbow and Pinkie are frolicking in the water, whilst AJ and Fluttershy are with Sunset and Twilight. The two unaltered girls are trying their best to entertain Sunset and Twilight, but with the current situation, it's significantly harder than they expected.

Sunset and Twilight are sitting on the edge of the pool. They are both looking forward to their meeting with the man today, but they still have some lingering doubts.

"Ahh. It's good to get out into the crisp ocean air," said Sunset.

"Yeah, I guess it is," Twilight said, with very clear hesitation in her voice.

"Still nervous about this meetup, Twilight?" asked Sunset.

"A bit yes, but I'm looking forward to it. Let's hope that we get some good memories of this trip," said Twilight.

"Yeah. And let's hope that the magic wears off soon. while I've made the best of the situation, I'd like to be back to normal sooner rather than later." Sunset replied.

"Likewise. Hey Rarity, can you please check and see what it is?" asked Twilight.

"Of course darling. Currently, it is 11:45 am. Lunch will be ready in about 30 minutes. We should go get ready for it." said Rarity.

"I agree. Hey Rainbow, Pinkie, we need to get ready for lunch and our meetup with that gentleman from yesterday," said Sunset.

"Alright. We'll dry ourselves off and head back to our cabins and get changed, then we'll all head to the dining area. Sound good?" asked Rainbow.

"Fine with us. We'll see you in a little bit," said Sunset.

A short while later, All the girls have changed into their smart casual clothing. It's just after midday. Lunch is being served in the dining area. The girls are still a bit hesitant about this meetup with the gentleman after lunch, but they plan to honor the agreement Rarity made with him yesterday.

Sunset and Twilight are the two most hesitant out of the group, but they made an agreement and intend to honor it. Both however still have their concerns about this meetup. Twilight raises her concerns with Sunset.

"Still nervous Twi? I can see that you're trembling a bit," said Sunset.

"Yeah. I still have my concerns and doubts about this meeting. I'm trying to calm my nerves. But I'm having trouble doing so. I'm hoping that this meeting goes well." replied Twilight.

"Likewise. As long as we behave and don't do anything that we shouldn't, we'll be fine. Now let's eat and make our way up there." Sunset replied.

"Yeah. I'm starving. I hope there's a good selection of meals today." said Twilight.

The Rainbooms found a booth for them to sit at while they have lunch. They each went up one at a time so that the group stays together in case they need to explain the situation with Twilight and Sunset. Eventually, all the girls have their lunch in front of them and they dig in. Rarity and Fluttershy help Twilight and Sunset with their lunch since they are having trouble with grabbing the cutlery, due to their diminutive sizes

Eventually, all the girls have had their fill and are heading up to deck 3. all of them have a confident face on, but in their heads, they're in a storm of nervousness. Eventually, they make it to deck 3 and are about to start down the hallway, when they are stopped by one of the ship's officers.

"Hey! What are you doing up here? You're not allowed to be up here. I'll have to ask you to leave." the officer said to the girls.

"Wait, wait darling. We're meeting with a passenger who has a cabin on this deck. A man in cabin 042." said Rarity.

Upon hearing this, the officer's eyes widened and his expression calmed. "Oh. I understand. I'll let the other officer on the dock know so that they'll leave you alone. It must be important if he wants to meet with you. Enjoy the rest of your cruise." the officer replied. He then took his leave and left the girls to go to their meeting.

"Well, that guy wasn't kidding when he told us to tell any crewmen that we're going to cabin 042. Obviously, he has a big reputation and is a respected man in the community" said Sunset.

"Well, let's not keep him waiting. Let's get to his cabin and see what he can do to help us," said Twilight.

After a few minutes of wandering the deck looking for their destination, the girls eventually arrive at the door for Cabin 042. all of them are quite nervous, but they steel themselves up and hope to make a good impression. Rarity knocks on the door to the cabin and waits for a response.

"Who is it?" a male voice said from behind the door.

It's Rarity darling, I'm here with my friends for our little meetup today." Rarity replied

"Oh. You're a bit earlier than I expected you to be. But that's no trouble. Just one second please." the man replied.

"Oh, that's lovely darling. When you said that we were earlier than expected, we thought that we must be interrupting something important. We're glad that's not the case." said Rarity

A few seconds later, the girls hear the deadbolt coming loose and the door lock unlocking. The man opened the door and ushered the girls inside.

"Thank you, sir, for your generosity. But pardon my ignorance, but how can you help us make some good memories of this cruise? Sorry if I sound a bit rude, but the thought has been nagging me for a while." said Sunset.

"I would give a fully detailed explanation, but in short, I've seen how magic affects beings in our world and I've made some stuff that you can use for entertainment and make some good memories. If you'll look in the closet, you'll see what I'm referring to." the man said to Sunset and the girls.

Rainbow opened the closet and what the girls saw surprised them. They saw that the closet was full of novels, gaming consoles, and board games, all shrunken down to better fit a child's smaller hands. The girls were now quite excited as now they had enough things to entertain Twilight and Sunset for an extended period of time.

"Wow. That's a lot of stuff. This could entertain Sunset and Twilight for ages." said Rainbow.

"Well? What are you waiting for? Take it." the man replied, surprising the girls.

"Are you sure sir? We don't want to take stuff that doesn't belong to us. These belong to you..." Sunset started before the man interrupted her.

"It's fine. I brought them with me on this cruise, because I thought that magic might turn up in some way, especially after what happened last time. Anyway, I insist. Take the stuff. It's yours now. I don't need it anymore. take it and use it however you like. And before you ask, yes I'm absolutely sure. " the man replied.

"Thank you, sir. We'll never forget this kind of gesture. If you need our help with anything, don't hesitate to give us a call. We owe you a favor." replied Twilight.

"My pleasure. Enjoy the rest of your cruise and I hope you change back soon." the man replied.
> Chapter 5-A Magical End to an Interesting Experience

The girls make their way back to their cabins with the stuff that the man had given them for Twilight and Sunset. They all headed into Twilight and Sunsets cabin so that they could set up the consoles and board games and set the books aside for when and if they decide to do some reading.

Inside the cabin, Applejack and Rainbow are setting up the console on a table near the TV, while Fluttershy and Pinkie are setting up some of the board games on the bed. Rarity set the books over on the bedside tables, so they could be in easy reach for Sunset and Twilight.

After a few minutes, everything was all set up. All the girls relax a bit, as now entertainments for Twilight and Sunset are sorted for a decent amount of time. Sunset then spoke up.

"Thanks for your help girls. We should be fine here until dinner. You girls should go have some fun with everything else the ship has to offer." said Sunset.

"Actually darling, the girls and I were talking a little while before our meeting with our generous gentleman, and we decided to stay with you and Twilight. We're friends and friends stick together, no matter what," said Rarity. Both Twilight and Sunset were surprised and this revelation.

"Are you sure about this? We don't want to cause you to miss any interesting opportunities available on the cruise," asked Twilight.

"We're positive. All this stuff looks really cool and interesting. I hope that there are some Daring Do books in that stack." said Rainbow.

"Well, if your certain, let's get comfortable and have some fun with this stuff. We'll just need to keep track of the time so that we don't miss dinner," said Sunset.

The time seemed to fly by the girls like dust on the wind. Sunset and Rainbow played many of the video games that were available on the consoles, Twilight and Fluttershy read some of the books, and Rarity and Applejack passed the time with the board games. All the girls swapped around to whatever they wanted to do when they wanted to do something different. After a while, Sunset asked:

"Hey, what's the time?" she asked the others.

"Almost time for dinner. We should freshen up and head to the dining area, darlings," said Rarity.

"I concur. We'll keep going with this stuff after we have a good feed. See you guys in a few minutes." Said Rainbow.

"Likewise," said Applejack.

A few minutes later, with Fluttershy and Rarity helping Twilight and Sunset freshen up and get changed, all the girls met in the hallway and made their way to the dining area. once there, they found a booth and ordered their desired meals and beverages. Sunset and Twilight are still hoping that they'll turn back to normal soon and away from a large group of people, excluding the other Rainbooms.

After a couple of hours, the girls have had their fill for the night and head back to Sunset and Twilights cabin to pick up where they left off hours earlier. Sunset decided to do some reading, while AJ and RD decided to be their usual competitive selves with the video games. Rarity, Pinkie, and Fluttershy chose to play another one of the board games.

Eventually, all the girls started to show signs of fatigue, letting out yawns and feeling sluggish. The other girls said good night to Sunset and Twilight and went to their respective cabins. Rarity and Fluttershy stayed back for a few minutes to help Twilight and Sunset change into their PJs, before retiring to their cabins.

"Well, this was a good day after the mess we've been through," said Sunset.

"Yeah. That Gentleman made good on his promise to help us make some good memories before the cruise arrived back at port," said Twilight.

"Yep. But still, let's hope that this magic wears off soon. I really don't want to leave the ship in this state." said Sunset.

"Me too. But until that happens. we have to make the best of the situation. Anyways, we should get to sleep. We've got another day ahead of us tomorrow. Night Sunset." said Twilight, taking off her glasses and resting them on the bedside table.

"Night Twilight," replied Sunset, as they both laid down and drifted off to sleep.





A few hours later, Sunset and twilight are still sleeping soundly, when a magical aura surrounds them. Slowly, but surely, both girls start to grow back to their normal size. As the girls are sleeping so soundly, they can't feel the effects, but they will be pleasantly surprised in the morning.

Eventually, the sun started to rise over the expanse of the ocean. As the sun peeked into Sunset and Twilights room, Twilight was roused from her slumber. She reached over to the bedside table and fumbled around for her glasses before grabbing them and putting them on. She then stretched out and swung her legs over the edge of the bed to the floor.

"Huh. I can feel the carpet on my feet. WAIT! I can feel the carpet on my feet." she thought. She looked down and saw her feet on the floor. to be sure she wasn't seeing things, she looked over into the mirror and saw that she was back to her normal size. She turned to Sunset and shook her gently, trying to rouse her from sleep.

"Sunset, wake up. The magic has worn off. We're back to normal." she said excitedly.

Sunset eventually is roused from her slumber, but she isn't really listening to what Twilight is saying. She sat up and stretched out and trying to rub the tiredness out of her eyes. She then noticed Twilight shaking giddily.

"Twilight? What's got you so excited?" she asked.

"Sunset! The magic has worn off. We've changed back to normal. Look in the mirror. See for yourself." Twilight said happily.

Sunset looked over into the mirror and saw that both Twilight and she were normal-sized again. She let out a big sigh of relief.

"Finally. I was starting to worry that we wouldn't change back before we got back home," said Sunset.

"Me too. Although I'll admit, it was an interesting experience being toddler-sized, as weird as that may sound," replied Twilight.

"No, that doesn't sound weird to me. I found the experience interesting as well, but I prefer to be teenager-sized cause it cases less hassle for us" said Sunset.

"Well, what should we do with all the stuff the man gave us yesterday. He said that we could keep it, but we really don't have any use for it anymore," said Twilight

"You're right about that Twilight, but I think we should keep them as mementos. This was an experience we won't forget soon, but it wasn't an entirely bad experience. This stuff gave us some good memories and if we keep this stuff, we can relive the memories once we get back home." Sunset replied.

"Yeah. That's a great idea Sunset. Now come on, we still have a few days lefts on this cruise, and now that we're back to normal, we can do a lot more stuff now. So let's freshen up and enjoy the rest of the cruise." Twilight said proudly.

"Yeah. Let's enjoy the rest of the cruise and enjoy what's on offer," replied Sunset

After freshening up, Twilight and Sunset met up with the other members of the Rainbooms, who were just as excited that they had changed back to normal. The group then went off to enjoy what the cruise had on offer without any further magical interruptions.





A few minutes later, Twilight and Sunset made their way outside into the hallway, waiting for the rest of the Rainbooms. Eventually, the other girls made their way out of their cabins and noticed Twilight and Sunset standing off to the side of the hallway, both of them being normal-sized again. All of the others were both happy and relieved that the two had finally changed back to normal.

"Hey Sunny and Twi, you've finally turned back to normal," Rainbow said excitedly.

Yeah, finally. We noticed that we were back to normal when we woke up. The magic must've worn off during the night. Anyway, it feels good to be full-sized teens again." said Sunset.

"Well, it's good that everything is normal again darlings, but what are you going to do with all the stuff that that gentleman gave you yesterday?" asked Rarity.

"Sunset and I have decided to keep them as mementos. This was an interesting experience, which we won't forget anytime soon, but to tell you guys the truth, we both found it rather relaxing, as weird as that may sound." Twilight replied.

"No, that doesn't sound weird at all, but it is not something I would like to experience first hand. It would just be a bit too daunting for me and possibly the rest of us," said Fluttershy.

"I have to agree with Fluttershy Sugarcubes. It doesn't sound weird to find something like that relaxin, but I'd rather stay normal-sized," said Applejack.

"Anyway enough talk, we've still got a few days before we arrive back home. So let's take advantage of what the cruise has to offer," said Sunset.

"Yeah. Let's go." the girls all replied before having a group high five. There's still a lot of stuff to do and see on the cruise and the girls intend to take the opportunity to see as much of it as possible.

And with that, the Rainbooms enjoyed the rest of the cruise to have some fun.
