A Shooting Star
Princess Luna, Monarch of the Night, Warrior of All Dreams, and Second Princess of Equestria, was currently not busy. After her return from the moon she had hardly gotten a moments peace due to her taking half of the paper work of her sister. Annoying as it was, without this being done, the entire kingdom would be in shambles.
Right now, however, this didn't matter to Luna. She stood on the balcony to her chambers and stared at the stars. She had weaved an especially nice tapestry of sparkling diamonds tonight. She didn't mean to boast but, it was quite beautiful.
"What in the world...?" Luna said as something caught her eye. Off in the distance Luna could see a streak of light. It headed downward towards Everfree Forest until, with a mighty rumble, it struck the ground. Concern etched itself across Lunas face as she turned around and headed inside.

"...So then I said, 'put that down! You'll put an eye out!' Hahaha!" Clawmark said to two of his fellow guards, Moonshine and Nightshadow.
"Hahaha you...haha...always tell the best stories. Te...tell the one about Princess Lunas Plot."
"I'm sorry. Laughing too hard. Which one?"
"The one about--" At that moment Princess Luna burst through the doors they guarding. In panic they all saluted though Moonshine wasn't careful with what he said.
"Princess Lunas Plot!" Luna stopped to look at Moonshine in confusion before he added, "...twist! Plot twist your majesty. It's...uh...a book we were talking about. Heh heh."
With a shake of her head the Moon Monarch spoke, "Call a few of the guards and grab a squadron with you. Some sort of asteroid has landed in Everfree, and I don't have another meteor shower planned for another couple decades."
"Yes your Magesty."
Princess Luna, along with ten night guards, stood in front of a giant crater. Smoke still roses from it but she could see what was in the center: A silver star. It was unlike her stars though, it was perfectly smooth besides a solitary chip on one end, on top of it was a Stetson hat as well as a belt with two gun holsters, each with a silverfish pistol inside. Luna looked closer to see that an emblem was on the gun holsters, but as she did it jumped up.
"Whoo whee! That thar was a fun ride if I do say so mahself!" The star suddenly had a pair of legs and a pair of arms with strange little tentacle-like appendages on them. On the front under the hat was a pair of eyes above a large bushy mostache. He didn't seem to have a mouth. It turned around and saw Princess Luna. Time froze as he stared at her.
"Never in all a mah days..." he said as he knelt down, "...have Ah ever looked upon a mer beautiful saght." He noticed the guards in the corner of his eye get close and he shot up on his feet and out his hands to his pistols, "Back ya little mutton dogs! This one here is mahn!"
Clawmark stepped forward with his claws out, "Do you know that is you are talking about?"
"Well of course Ah do ya whipper snapper." He said with a shake of his head, "It's Princess Luna, ruler of night, and a damn good looken mare if Ah must say." He turned to Princess Lune and said, "Now, where were we?"
Luna looked uncertain but said, "You were going to say who you were."
The star looked shocked for a second and then turned to slightly apologetic, "Oh mah star shaped bosom! Ah fergot mah manners." Clearing his throat and taking off his hat he said, "Mah name is Star Shooter, Sheriff of the Stars, and right hand star to the Great Weaver, which Ah guess must be you. Ah'm glad to a finally met ya Princess Luna. Maght Ah call ya Lulu fer short or is that getten too personal?"
Luna blushed ever slightly and replied, "Um...I'd prefer Luna for now." Luna then stepped forward and lowered her head slightly, "But I need to know one thing. Are you planning trying rule Equestria, bring chaos to it, or destroy it?"
A second went by until a guttural sound emitted from the star. Oh wait, that was laughter, "Haha. Yer funny Princess. Why would Ah want to take over Equestria, and how would I do it anyhow? Hahaha!" Star Shooter got tp the point he was crying before he ceased, "Ha. Pretty and funny. I'm glad Ah landed here on accident."
With a smile, Luna looked to her guards and nodded for them to lower their weapons. Turning back to Star Shooter she said, "Well, it's nice to meet you but I would have to ask a favor of you."
"Anything fer the Great Weaver!"

Greetings, this is Princess Luna. I know this may come as a surprise to you but I am in need of your help. Tia is still asleep and I need the help of a fellow Princess. Please hurry. It is not a national emergency, I don't think, so please don't get Twilight in the mix, she's got enough to deal with after the whole 'incident' with Rarity.Your Other Aunt

Princess Mi Amore Cadenza read the letter second time and then turned her head and shouted, "Shining! Stop being useless and come here!"
In a flash, Shining Armor's head poked out from other room, "For your information, carpentry is not useless."
"But it is unnecessary. Now go get your things, we're going to Canterlot."
Shining groaned, "At this hour?"
Cadence giggled, "Says the stallion using a buzz saw at eleven thirty."
Star Shooter sat in a room. This wouldn't have been to bad had the room not also been filled Night guards. Moonshine gaped at the star in interest while Nightshadow and Clawmark stood to the side looking at him suspiciously. Luna sat on her thrown in anticipation. It would be about thirty minutes before Cadence arrived but Luna remained seated.
...For ten minutes.
"Guards! I need to attend to something. Please keep Star Shooter comfortable until I return." With that Princess Luna left as fast as she was able while looking regal.
As soon as the doors shut, Moonshine began to ask questions, "So you're a star huh?"
Star Shooter nodded his head, "That's raght. Name's Star Shooter. Pleased to make yer acquaintance." He reached out with his hand, "And you are?"
Taking the hand in his hoof for a shake Moonshine said, "My name's Moonshine, and I'm a Roya...wha...what the hell is your...uh...appendage made of?"
"It's called a hand. It's just skin. Think of a dragon with skin insteda scales. You were sayen?"
"Ah yes. I am Moonshine, a Royal Guard for Princess Luna. So are the rest of these guys. That's Hooflance, Strike Dancer, Fall N. Over, Clawmark, Nightshadow, Bright Lika Dye Mound, and Francis."
Star Shooter thought for a minute, "Wait...Francis? That's a pony name?"
Francis emerged from her corner and waved before backing into the shadows again. Moonshine shuddered, "yeah, she's a bit creepy." He put a hoof to his mouth and whispered, "But between you and me, it's really--"
Princess Luna reentered the doors startling everypony.
"Sexy!" Moonshine shouted as he stood at attention. Luna gave him an annoyed stare, "Um...it's my nickname for Star...um...ya know cause uh...it begins with an 's'. Yeah, that's my story. I'm sticking to it."
With a sigh Luna walked to her throne. Before she got there Star Shooter addressed her, "Hey uh...miss Luna?" The blue Princess looked to Start Shooter, "Ah just wanted to say that uh...if this doesn't work out an Ah hafta go back, then Ah'm still glad Ah got to meet ya."
Luna stopped short in surprise. No one besides her sister had ever cared about her this way. It was a new experience, one that she secretly was beginning to like. Luna opened her mouth but before any words came out, the throne room doors burst open.
"We're here Princess! What's the problem?"
"AHH! Varmints!" With a quick motion Star Shooter pulled out his pistols, aimed, and shot. Cadence didn't have to time to do anything but Shining Armor saw it coming and pulled up a shield just in time, causing the bullets to ricochet in another direction.
Star Shooter started shooting more and more, "Ah'm fixin to knock the dickens outa you two intruders! Take that!"
Soon Star had to reload, while he did so Shining concentrated his magic into a physical sword and shield. He charged forward and sliced at Star who dodged it in the nick o' time.
Nick o' time?
Shut up Discord. This country jargon is starting to get to me.
Anyway, Star Shooter dodged the attack and returned it with a swing of his pistol. Shining blocked it with his sword used the shield to shove him back. The two glared at each other while Cadence stood off in the corner unsure what was happening. The two fighters were about to run towards each other when...
"STOP!!" Luna's Royal Canterlot voice broke through to Their thick heads them.
One Explanation Later
"Sooo...let me get this straight. You're a star and sheriff of the stars, you crashed on Equestria and are not hitting on Luna? Did I miss anything there or is that completely accurate?"
Star spoke up, "Of course it is. It's the only logical expellanation and ifen you gaht a problem with me wooing Luna here, then just say it."
Shining put up his hooves and said, "Hey now. Never said that. I'm just saying she's a little outa your league. She is a Princess."
"Yer married to a Princess."
"...Touche."
Cadence stepped forward, "Excuse me but have either of you noticed that the two mares you're talking about are standing right here."
Star Shooter looked unamused, "Have Ah noticed that Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and the most beautiful alicorn in the world are in the room right now. That thar is a tough one." Both he and Shining laughed while Luna chuckled. Before any of them could get any further a sudden rumble shook the ground. Suddenly Princess Celestia burst through the doors wearing sun jammies and nightcap.
"WHO DARES TRY TO WOO MY SISTER!?!?"
Luna sighed, "Oh crap."
