> Tricks of the Trade > by Silver Inkwell > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Tricks of the Trade > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thomas Mallory stood before his new audience ready to trick and deceive them so he could earn some hard cash, which he needed very desperately. “Gather around folks,” he said putting on his classic fake stage smile, “Be ready to be amazed by the wonders and marvels that I have for you today!” “NO ONE CARES!” Someone shouted from the crowd. “And why is that?” he simply asked, “And who said that?” “Because there’s real magic now, haven’t you heard what’s happened to the Canterlot Public High School? Seriously, watch the news.” “Oh, I have heard about that,” he said, “And their magic is nothing compared to mine, they might have defeated monsters, and monsters may have been both raised and created, but have you ever seen them disappear before?” “Oh yeah, the old classic trick and gag of ‘I’ve vanished somewhere gag, but in reality I’m somewhere in the crowd gag’, how original.” “Oh this is no trick or gag,” he said, “THIS IS REAL , do not doubt your minds or your eyes, and do not doubt what you see, for it is will, and now then if you will turn your eyes and attention to me I will now not only vanish from this stage, but reappear with something that you know cannot be taken away easily before this trick or gag, Vice Principal Luna’s own personal coffee mug.” The crowd gasped, the very idea of stealing something, much less a prized and personal possession and item of Vice Principal Luna was just too much to take in at once, “Will you return it after you’ve taken it?” someone asked. "Yes, of course, I’m not a thief,” he said, “Just a good magician, now then, watch as I disappear,” and with that said there was suddenly a poof of green and purple smoke and then a mere moment later the stage was empty. “Where did he go?” the crowd asked looking around them, for his ‘stage’ was really just a plain open field of grass, there was nothing special there at all. But little did they know that there was something special there for underneath the grass he had placed Equestrian magic and he even carried it to do his trick. And a moment later he reappeared with the coffee mug, smiled as the crowd cheered and clapped, vanished again, and reappeared once more again (this time empty handed) and received even more shouts of joy and delight. “Thank you,” he said, “You have been a wonderful audience today, but if you wish to see more I will be here in town should you ever need me.” “Oh, please do more,” someone said trying desperately to get his attention. And with that he smiled, this time it was a genuine smile, but one that had a plan hidden deep down inside, and thus was cunning and devious. “Of course,” he said, “My audience always comes first.” And with that he performed, and did quite well for his first act, but very soon he then became good, and then finally great over the many long years of time. And then finally after much time with lots of patience and planning his first goal of his plan was done, get the attention of the Main Seven as they were now called, and the only way that he heard that they were coming was because he required every person to pay in credit so he could track them, and they had just recently brought tickets and he heard many rumors that they were coming to his show, but now as he looked out at the crowd he finally saw them there. Good, he thought, that was just step one of his new plan and the last of his old plan which was just to get and catch their attention, but now he did, and he would indeed show them many wonders and tricks as he always did and that’s why he put it in his signs as a promise, and he never broke his promises. “I am going to have everything that I want very soon enough, fame fortune, wealth, love, and finally beating them, soon my sister, we will be together again, and I will finally have my revenge,” he said to a picture. “Sir, the show is ready,” an employee said (it was a rule that they had to call him ‘sir’ or ‘Mr. Mallory’ instead, and never his real true name of Thomas instead). “Good then,” he said, “I’m coming, oh yes, I will be coming,” he said smiling deviously at a picture of the Main Seven together, and then he said something very soft to the picture, “I am coming for you, so watch out.” And with that said he put on his fake stage a smile and went out to receive the applaud of his audience as he came in with a puff of smoke thus giving him a very dramatic entrance (he did like and love them, in fact he enjoyed them a lot, and it was something that he told his audience a lot whenever he was on stage and performing for them, and if you asked him he would say that he didn’t know why it was that he exactly liked the flare of the dramatic). “Well hello there, ladies and gentlemen of this very large wide vast crowd that I see here with me tonight,” he said as they screamed and shouted, well, all except for the Main Seven (except for Pinkie Pie of course) as noted by his very observant and careful eye, “Thank you so very much for all of your praise.” “Do you think that this could really be the guy?” Applejack quietly whispered to Sunset Shimmer who was watching the whole entire thing very carefully because she knew something that the audience did not, they all did in fact. “I don’t know. I mean he seems likely enough, reports of stolen or missing items mysteriously vanishing and then sometimes even showing up again.” “Well then, okay, but what I don’t get is how we could have ever missed him.” “Please, between two battles and fights with she-demons, three very deadly dangerous sirens, one band competition, the Friendship Games, our little tiny trip to the Everfree Forest Camp, and also the Fall Formal I think that we have all been pretty busy, too busy to ever notice a small tiny little guy like this.” “He’s not exactly small or little or tiny now, he’s made it almost big time now.” “I know,” Sunset said with a sigh, “And we can’t change that, but what we can do is to make sure that it’s not real magic, and that if he really does have magic that he won’t ever use it to hurt anyone because we would not want that.” “No, we wouldn’t between all that other stuff that we have faced in the past.” And with that said they remained silent as they continued to watch the show. Thomas noticed their little tiny talk and continued on with his script while they were distracted making sure that they would be focused when he would subtly give a clue and hint to his plans, and the reason as to why he would do this is because he wanted to play a game with them, one of the mind that involved many tricks and twists and dead ends too as well, one that they would lose in the end since he would be the master mind behind it all, and they would lose if all went to plan, but if it didn’t, well he had some other plans just in case. “Thank you for joining me today,” he said glancing at the seven, and to his great dismay he saw that they were still distracted, “I can’t express how much I really do enjoy having you here tonight, and also having your money with me.” And with that said the crowd laughed, he always did know how to make others smile, but his joke still wasn’t enough, he still needed some more, just a bit. “Well then, thank you, but…” he said pausing dramatically to see if the seven were focused yet, and yes, they were, “But I have something very important to say tonight before we begin, tonight is not only the seven year anniversary of me starting this magic show and also just happens to be my birthday today, I am turning twenty five today, but it is also the remembrance of my lovely sister who was lost to me on this very night many years ago, and it also just so happens to be that she was lost to me on the day I started magic and also on the day of my birthday, so you can see why I will get emotional tonight, so please forgive me in advance, but come, let us not dwell on the very sad past that is filled with much pain and sorrow and despair for me, but let us all focus on the joy and wonders and smiles that this show will bring you tonight, and so now may I proudly present Mr. Mallory’s’ Marvelous show of Wonders!” And with that said the show began as his assistants and employees did their jobs of pulling levers at the right times, and he did his of satisfying the crowd with his mere simple little tiny tricks because all the good stuff would come later, much later so. And as he performed the main seven watched silently from the crowd, well they were mostly silent except for a few remarks and comments that mostly came from Pinkie Pie or Sunset Shimmer instead. “Oh, he does magic so more, much way better than Trixie ever could!” Pinkie Pie said. “That’s because it could be real magic Pinkie,” Sunset said with a slight sigh that was on the edge of heavy and deep, “Besides, we aren’t here to admire him, we’re just here to watch the show and then afterwards have a talk with him, and hopefully he’ll be a bit more reasonable than the others we have met.” “You mean like you and Twilight when you turned into demons?” Pinkie said. “Yes, exactly like that, thank you so very much,” Sunset said sarcastically. “You’re welcome!” Pinkie Pie said blissfully ignorant of her very rude tone. And with that said they continued to watch the show silently. “He hasn’t done anything remotely magical yet,” Applejack said watching as he asked for volunteers and then did yet another classical trick. “Maybe he’s saving it for later,” Sunset said as the trick finished. “Well I suppose that you could be right,” she said as the next trick came on. The crowd applauded very lightly or mildly depending upon the trick, but as the show went on their clapping increased as their shouts still remained the same relatively that is. But now that it was near the end and all the classic tricks like rabbit out of the hat, deck of cards, saw a person in half, and many others as well too, and also his own unique special new ones as well too. Well after they were all done it was now time for the grand finale. “Well then,” he said, “You have been a good audience tonight, great really. But sadly enough now is the time for the show to end, but before it does and before you complain,” he said hearing a whine from the crowd as they shouted and screamed desperately for more, but then they went back to normal when they saw him saying the classic cliché of ‘before I leave’ or ‘before you complain’ instead. “Before I leave you tonight I will do one last final grand act, but for this I will need some very lucky special volunteers, seven to be exact, and they are here right now somewhere in this crowd, and yes, they have been preselected, but do not worry, come back for my next show to get a chance for it if you want to, but my very lovely assistants will now escort the seven up here to the stage where they will follow my instructions exactly as you watch in your seats.” And with that said soon enough the main seven were tapped on the shoulders, a sign that they were chosen, and then very reluctantly they followed as they went up to the stage. “Uh oh, this can’t be good,” Applejack said with some slight fear in her voice as she mentally prepared herself for anything that might and surely would come. “Well at least the show was good, not quite up to my standards certainly enough, but it did quite well, very well so,” Rarity said. “Be quiet girls, we have no idea what he wants or has planned for us,” Sunset said stepping onto the stage first with her brave face to show confidence. “She’s right you know,” Twilight said stepping up, “Be ready for anything.” And with that said they all nodded and stood still as Thomas smiled. “Yes, here they are, you might have heard of them being the girls who have saved Canterlot Public High School, three times now already, but don’t think that I have chosen them off of their popularity, oh no, that’s only a very small tiny little factor, the big huge large factor is that they can do real true magic. And for that reason you can trust me when I say that this is real and not me, but what are they going to do? Well just wait and see as I instruct them.” And then with that said he turned around to them and said, “Just hold hands together, concentrate and focus with your minds, and then I will join with you with my thoughts and ideas and then after I say the secret word the act will be complete and done and the magic will then be clearly seen by all of you.” And with that said they did so and then he turned around to the crowd and said, “If you would like to walk out of here with 100 Grand then why don’t you think that so, and say the secret word with me which is eclipse.” “Eclipse!” the crowd shouted and then with that said Thomas grabbed the hands of the group and then they watched with horror, shock, and surprise as money started to rain down from the ceiling, literally in this case however. “What have you done?” Sunset said at once to Thomas who just stood there like an idiot and smiled at them as if he really truly was innocent. “Me?” he said, “I didn’t do anything, you’re the ones with the magic, but as to why you would ever do this I don’t really ever know, but because the police are here since I requested them at this event I’m sure that they can solve this matter very shortly and quickly if you will come along with me, unless of course you want to run away, in which case the police will most definitely think that you’re guilty even if you are somehow innocent in all this. So face the facts, I win, you lose, and to be fair, you never stood a chance against me.” “Okay, that’s enough, who are you and what do you want with us exactly?” He smiled and then said, “Me? I’m just who I say that I am, Thomas Mallory, an honest show performer and a man of business, but as to what I want,” he said leaning in and then whispering with the mic off, “I want revenge.” “Revenge for what? We never did anything to you at all, ever,” Sunset said. “Yeah? Well tell that to my sister, I lost her because of you,” he said with an angry sneer full of hate and wrath and fury, and now he looked scary whereas before he seemed so kind and nice, but that was obviously fake somehow. “Wait, what?” Twilight said with surprise and shock, “How? When? Where? Why? Oh, and also, I am very sorry that you lost her then, but you can…” “I can what? Change? No, never, not until I have my revenge or die trying to, but you should feel very sorry for her even though your pity is not earned or well deserved, and that is because you were the monster who killed her.” “Me?” Twilight said, “But that can’t be true, I mean how could that be?” “Don’t you ever even bother to remember the past? Because I do, and it was seven years ago that you turned into a demon and started to tear holes in the very fabric of space and time, and while that was not the first day in my life that I saw real true magic, it was the first I lost someone very dear, close, and special to me to it. Because of you she fell inside one of the holes and I couldn’t save her, and I couldn’t help her either once you were back to normal again. But I’m not upset, not really, and that’s because she’s not dead, not yet at least, and luckily enough for you that’s the only reason I won’t ever kill you, but if she does die, and I can’t save her, then I promise that I will do whatever it takes to kill you, after all, it would only be fair, a life for a life, a fair trade and exchange. And also if I were upset, you would probably know by now, but if you ever want to repent of the sins of your past you’ll help me fix this, oh, and I forgot to mention that I’ll cause you a lot of trouble if you don’t help me out, so much so that I will become your new and latest enemy that you have to and must fight to save these lands or whatever it is that you do now these days. But what do you say, will you help me out or not instead?” He held out his hand on the last word waiting for them to react and respond. “Yes, we will help,” Sunset said shaking his hand, “We will, right girls?” “Sure thing,” they all said, except for Twilight who remained very quiet. “Twilight, I need your support if we’re going to do this thing,” she said. “Oh, you do, it’s just that I feel so sorry and guilty for his sister, I mean I knew that I was bad when I was like that, but hurting people, I never meant to do that, and I just wish that I could go back in time and change it all now.” “We all do,” Sunset and Thomas said, but then after a quick glare from her, he decided to remain silent, “But you can’t change the past, you can only change the future by deciding what to do here and now today, and if you decide to help out or not, then that’s just fine and okay, but remember, we’re always a team. We work together, we don’t work alone, do you understand that?” “I do,” Twilight said with a slight smile, “Well okay then, I’m in.” “Very good then,” Thomas said, “Now that this is all sorted out let us begin. Firstly, you must understand that I did originally have a plan to torture your minds with tricks and illusions until you said yes if you had said no instead, but I never did expect you to say it since I have heard about your natures. But do keep it in mind that I always have a backup plan, many of them, and I am also very brutally honest. Secondly, I have no loyalty or love for any of you so don’t expect me to save your lives just because I am kind or nice, and don’t expect it just because I might need you alive, in fact, don’t ever expect it at all if all goes well and according to my plans. Thirdly, do not ever try to trick or fool me or escape, I will know it, and after all, you can’t con an artist and master. Fourthly, I cannot guarantee your safety or lives, or anything that can, may, and will happen with the cops when and if we do get back. And finally, be ready and prepared for anything, and don’t expect me to answer any or rather all of your questions, because I can’t and also won’t because of many random various reasons that I won’t list right now. But come, adventure awaits us, and I’m also sure that there might be a slight chance of peril and danger as well.” And with that said he held out his hands for them to take and hold. “Take my hands and hold on very tight,” he said very casually. “But what about them?” Sunset and Twilight said pointing at the crowd. “Oh they’ll be fine, the show is over and we’ll be back before they can leave if my calculations are correct, if not, well then I think that they’ll still be fine, the police can’t catch them all, and besides, I don’t care about them either, now come on, I have a sister to save and you have to help me do it right now.” And with that said they all decided to take his hands and then he pulled out a necklace that had a cracked red gem in the middle of it that looked very familiar to all of them. “Is that the siren’s crystals?” Sunset said. “Correction: Were they the siren’s crystals, and the answer is yes, yes they were, but now I have redesigned and refit them to serve another purpose, and I found that in all my tests that the uses for them varied quite a lot depending upon what you wanted, and I’m also still amazed that you never retrieved it. I mean do you know how much inactive magic is just flowing through this thing just waiting to be tuned into kinetic energy? It’s a lot as I discovered a very long time ago with many tests, so much so that if you combined all the cracked broken pieces of their gems into one as I did, well you will eventually get a very interesting outcome, you get a new gem with new power that is very much different from the power that the other previous three ever held.” “So what can this do now, and how did you ever manage to combine them?” “I’m very glad that you asked that, you see I decided to just try to fuse them with fire and incredible heat, but when that didn’t work I soon realized why, they had magic in them, and as to how I discovered that, well that is a very interesting story for yet another different time, but soon after that it was when I realized and discovered that these were the gems from your battle and fight with the sirens, and I knew the story of how you defeated them, so I decided to sing while I held them in the incredibly hot fire, and then that just so happened to work luckily enough for me, and the result is here as you can clearly see.” “Wow,” Twilight said, “Who knew, I mean I didn’t, did you know though?” “No, we didn’t,” Sunset said looking at the necklace, “But come on now, this still changes nothing, we still have your sister to save no matter what happens to us, and I can promise you that we will save her for you, together.” “I wouldn’t be too fast to make that promise, ever,” he said, “Especially since when I make one I never break it, ever. And also, this new gem, it does really change something, and to be exact and very specific, it changes everything. But come now, take my hands, I don’t bite, and I rarely ever will,” he said with a slight laugh and smile, but no one else reacted the same way that he did. “Oh come on,” he said, “You know that was a very funny joke, right? Anyone? How about you Pinkie Pie? Surely you would know best.” “It actually was pretty funny,” she said, “But not that funny either.” He took a very deep heavy long sigh, “Well I guess that you’re right, but come now, let us go, for we have much to do and explore ahead of us together.” And with that said they all took his hands and then suddenly they were magically teleported away to where the statue that held the portal was. “I haven’t quite figured out if this can go to Equestria yet,” he said, “But it still can get us this far and even more if I really wanted it to, but I haven’t tried to go anywhere else with more than just myself and a few assistants as well. And I certainly haven’t tried to go farther than this place with them either. But come now, we have stuff and things to do, so let us go now.” And with that said they all followed him as he entered the portal. “I find your lack of guards to the pathway to another world very disturbing,” he said once they were on the other side, “Even if that world is very new and may be different from yours and therefore disorienting you still should have some guards or something to guard this portal, but seriously, you have nothing.” “Are you judging their choices and their judgement?” Sunset said. “Yes, I am, and I think that the princess of this land isn’t that very smart as they say, or perhaps maybe everyone just was deceived by her instead.” “Who are you even talking about?” Sunset said very confused now. “Why Celestia of course, who else? I know that this Twilight is very smart and wise, but her only flaw and weakness is that she takes orders from Celestia instead of trying to act on her own, but I can ignore that for now I guess.” “How dare you insult Celestia, she was my mentor and teacher.” “I know,” he said, “I stole your book, I mean how else do you think that I would know so much about this place? And also speaking of knowing, I am quite honestly surprised that you haven’t asked me how I knew so much about all of this, and to be quite frank, I am very rarely ever shocked or surprised.” “I was just about to ask you that,” Sunset said, “But wait, you stole my book?” “It was only temporarily my dear, I gave it right back after I took it, so don’t worry, I didn’t do anything to it other than just read it and copy it down to another notebook that I just so happened to have on me right back then.” “I can’t believe that you actually stole my notebook,” Sunset said. “Oh you better, just like the fact that you’re still human as well too.” “Wait, what?” Sunset said looking down at herself to see that she was indeed “But how? I should be a unicorn right now, not some human still.” “You have me to thank for that, I figured out how to retain your physical body without going through any changes that might have been painful for you.” “Going through the portal isn’t painful, it’s just a journey and fun.” “Oh,” he said, “Well sorry if you’re upset at me then, but I can’t fix it now.” “Oh really? Well then, that’s just great,” Sunset said, “I mean how are we supposed to blend in now? We’ll stand out like… like… like… like… like…” “Like humans in a crowd full of animated talking ponies,” he said. “Thank you!” she said, “Yes, exactly like that strange mysterious analogy.” “Yes, well then, thank you very much I have always been good at analogies.” “Well that doesn’t matter now, what matters is blending in which thanks to your actions you have just ruined for all of us,” Sunset said very angrily. “Hold your horses, oh wait, sorry, bad pun. Please just wait, I can fix this, what I said earlier, that was just a joke, I do that quite often and very frequently.” “Maybe too much,” Sunset said with a relieved sigh, “But thank goodness that you can fix this, because if you can then we’ll fit in just fine enough.” And with that said he started to silently adjust his necklace and then holding it out he pointed it at them and then suddenly they were ponies, and then he pointed it at himself and turned into a tan unicorn with black hair and green eyes with a cutie mark of a wand and a hat, “I have always wondered what my cutie mark might be,” he said looking at it, “And I must admit, it wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but it still doesn’t disappoint me either, so that’s good I guess, oh and look, I’m a unicorn, how so very cool and awesome and amazing, and now I’m starting to wish that I could remain like this a bit longer now.” “Equestria does tend to have that effect on ponies and people,” Sunset said. “Well then, that’s good and nice to know, but come now, I know where my sister would most likely be if she were still alive,” he said trotting off. “And where would that be exactly?” Sunset said as the others continued to admire their pony selves in the mirrors as the gazed in shock and surprise. “Wow, I never imagined I would look this good,” Applejack and Rarity said. “It’s really quite nice,” Fluttershy said nervously flapping her wings. “Yeah, this is totally cool and amazing and awesome,” Rainbow Dash said smiling as she flew around the room very fast with her wings. “Oh, this is just so exciting and I’m also so very nervous, I’m so nervicited!” Pinkie Pie said jumping up and down around the room then. “Come on girls, admire yourselves later,” Sunset said as Thomas suddenly popped back in to answer her previous question. “Why the library of course. Now come on, we don’t have all day and I need to get back home very soon.” And with that said they all followed him as he went outside the door and room, “Now then by my notes she should be somewhere in Ponyville if all of my calculations are correct, but I seriously highly doubt that for many various random reasons, one being that I am far too smart and wise to do that, ever, but I still nonetheless do know my limitations and boundaries. But now then this is exactly why I needed you here Sunset, so that you could use your magic to teleport me and your friends if you so wish to there right now, so if you could please kindly take my hand, I mean hoof, and lead the way then I would ever be most so grateful to you,” he said holding his hoof out. “Very well then, fine,” Sunset said taking his hoof and then everyone else’s hooves and then she did nothing, “There’s just one problem, we’re already in Ponyville,” she said pointing to the very large castle around them. “This is princess Twilight’s castle and home, and just outside is Ponyville so I guess that we won’t need my magic to do anything at all.” “Simply splendid and marvelous,” he said letting go of them, “Well come on then, I already know where she is, or rather where she should be, come now.” And with that said they all followed him as he navigated inside the castle and then eventually found his way outside and then trotted over to a very small patch and piece of grass that could even be barely called land whether or not it was public or private property or not. “Here we are,” he said cheerfully. “Uh, I’m sorry my dear, but it’s just grass,” Rarity said. “Actually, no, it’s not, it’s where my sister died,” he said. “But wait, I thought you said we were here to save your sister.” “I lied, you aren’t, you’re her to save yourselves and finally see her and what happens when people like you don’t think before they do something bad or try to save somebody else instead, you always seem to hurt someone in the end.” “We can’t help that, and we can’t save everyone either,” Sunset said. “I know that now, but that still doesn’t excuse your past actions either.” “I know,” Twilight said, “And I know that I may have been forgiven by others, but I also know that there may be some like you who can never forget or let go of the past, they have to hold onto their feelings and emotions instead.” “Oh, but Twilight, I did forgive you, after all, you’re no longer that monster anymore, the person that I can’t forgive is myself, I couldn’t save her from the fall that killed her, and even though I know that it isn’t my fault or yours, I still think that I should have done something else or tried harder even though I tried to do all that I could do, but it still wasn’t enough to save her then.” “Alright, fine then, we understand now, but why show us this exactly?” “So that you may always know and remember this lesson and today and me as well, and so that you can arrange for the proper care of her grave, after all, she may be a human, but she still deserves some respect and love and care now. The first thing I want is a tombstone with her name carved on it and with the words ‘In Honor of a Loving and Kind and Generous Sister Forever and Always’. And I also want flowers to be sent every year to cover it after I am gone.” “We can do that, I mean, I can do that,” Sunset said very nervously. “Good then,” he said taking seven flowers and placing them on the grass and then he turned and said, “Make sure that it is, and that this is also never disturbed again, I wouldn’t want some pony to be disrespectful of the dead.” “I will,” Sunset said, “And I’m sure Princess Twilight can take care of the flowers and everything else once we all leave, I mean right girls?” “Sure thing,” they said, and with that Thomas was finally satisfied. It took a while to fully explain to the other Twilight what had happened exactly and what she had to do, but eventually she said that she understood (after all the joy and delight of seeing Sunset once more again was expressed) and she said that she would always do what Thomas had asked because Sunset said to do so. And then once it was done Thomas finally had a true real smile once more again, for now he could finally let go of the past and the pain that he held, he could let go of his emotions and feelings and finally move on now. And so it was that after everything was exactly as he wanted it to be that they left, but before Sunset did so she expressed that she hoped that she could meet Twilight soon again, and with that said they smiled and then separated. “Your goodbye took you long enough,” Thomas said once they got back to the crowd, “And don’t worry about them, I didn’t really call the police, and the money is fake, a trick that they soon will be very angry but delighted to learn.” “Okay, fine then, alright, but what about you, what are you going to do?” “I really honestly don’t know, now that I can finally let go of the past and have, well I just don’t know where else to go with my life other than some silly little tiny plot for revenge against you, but I guess that I never really needed that in the first place, but still, being prepared and ready is always a plus with me. But I have been thinking about just maybe retiring from magic and doing something else instead that is completely different, but I haven’t figured it out quite yet, but I know that I will very soon enough, and when I finally do, well I think that you’ll be hearing from me again, anyhow, until next time,” he said as he suddenly vanished with a puff of smoke and left them all alone now. “How does he do that?” Pinkie Pie said. And with that said they slowly went off by themselves as somewhere far away Thomas smiled to himself, he wasn’t done with magic, not yet, and that was because he still had a few more tricks. But only a few more still remained up his sleeve, the rest he would have to make up, and t be quite honest, he really did like, love and enjoy trying to make new tricks constantly, because that was just the job that he had now. One that always required constant new tricks for the trade.
