> Prolouge: A Long needed vacation

Cadence was packing her clothes into her suitcase on her large bed alongside her husband, Shining Armor (who was organizing his stuff in his suitcase). Cadence was sighing as she finished clasping her final suitcase and asked, “So have you ever been on a cruise before?”

“No this is my first time.” Shining grumbled as he finished organizing their suitcases near the door. 

Cadence plopped on the bed and gave a exasperated sigh, “I hope that Flurry Heart will be alright.”

Shining rolled his eyes and replied, “She’ll be fine. We’ve got my little sister Twilight, and Sunburst taking care of things. The two of them should be more than capable of keeping Flurry under control”  He placed his suitcase near the door as he said this. 

Cadence looked up with worry in her eyes, “Still, we’ve never left Flurry behind before. You think that Twilight and Sunburst can run the kingdom, and keep Flurry safe at the same time?”

“Of course, you're talking about the two who saved Flurry Heart and the Crystal empire.” Shining grunted as he dragged another suitcase near the front door with his telekinesis. 

Cadence got up from the bed and began to pace as she mumbled, “maybe we shouldn’t go.”

Shining dropped his wife’s suitcases near the door and with a worried look told her, “But we’ve been planning this cruise for months. Are you sure you want to cancel all our plans?”

Cadence looked up with a nervous look, “What if Flurry is too much for them by themselves. I mean she’ll miss us and she could be more of a hoofful than usual.”

Shining lead his wife back to the bed and as they sat together he started to talk in a soft tone, “Look I don’t like the idea of leaving Flurry by herself either. But you need to relax and think about yourself for a few days. Besides, we’re leaving her in capable hooves. Even the best of parents don’t have to watch their children 24/7.”

But Cadence became worried again and mumbled, “I don’t know if I can relax when I’m worrying about Flurry Heart.”

Shining kissed his wife on the cheek and rubbed her shoulders, making her moan a bit as he whispered in her ear, “Did I hit something tender?”

“Shining it won’t…” Cadence protested, only to moan again as her husband’s hooves lowered and were rubbing near her tail bone as he continued with a smug grin, “Now, you’re going to come with me on the cruise tomorrow and we’re going to worry only about us. Besides when you return you’ll be recharged and ready to care for Flurry. Getting a diaper stuck on your horn while you were changing her is a clear sign you need to take a break.”

Cadence giggled and blushed, all her years of foalsitting and she still made such an ameatur mistake due to exhaustion. “I didn’t imagine our first foal would have so much energy.”

Shining laughed and replied, “She gets that from you.”

Cadence looked back at him with a smirk, “Oh really? And you don’t think she gets it from you?”

Shining wrapped his hooves around Cadence and whispered lovingly, “She got it from the both of us.”

Cadence kissed her husband on the lips and they held the embrace for a while, then Cadence trembled a bit as she gave her husband a serious look and asked, “Be honest, you think Sunburst and Twilight are up to the challenge?”

Shining nuzzled his wife tenderly and replied, “I have complete faith in them.” They then laid together on the bed and fell into each others’ passionate embrace.





Sunburst was in Flurry’s room with her sleeping in her crib, as he was going over the list of instructions about her. Twilight then opened the door with her wings spread wide and a bag full of foal supplies in her telekinesis. She placed them to the side of the room and upon seeing Sunburst she whispered, “I’m here, Sunburst.”

Sunburst nearly jumped into the air, as he looked over to see Twilight and gave a sigh of relief, “Oh, Princess Twilight. It’s good to see you.” He then bowed to her.

Twilight rolled her eyes and replied, “We’re friends, Sunburst, there’s no need for that. Any friend of Starlight’s is a friend of mine.”

“Sorry, you know me...I’m not really good with surprises.” Sunburst stuttered in nervousness.

Twilight said nothing, she just turned towards the crib with a maternal smile and came up to the sleeping Flurry Heart, wrapped in a foal blanket, and sucking a pacifier in her mouth. Twilight then whispered tenderly to Sunburst, “So how is the little angel doing?”

Sunburst was now gently going through the bag of foal supplies as he whispered, “She’s perfectly fine Twilight, and you’ve got everything we need. But thank you for asking about her.”

Twilight went back to Sunburst as he was storing away all the foal supplies beneath Flurry’s changing table and asked, “so I guess you wouldn’t mind taking care of Flurry Heart while I focus on administering the rest of the kingdom?”

Sunburst locked the cabinet and gulped as he replied, “Of course, as long as you don’t mind that is, your, um, highness?”’

“Sure, but I get to tuck her in and read to her tonight.” Twilight declared with a hint of authority in her tone.

Sunburst reflexively bowed his head in nervous submission and whimpered, “Of course, your highness.”

Twilight sighed, “I was just messing with you, Sunburst,” Then she smirked as she added, “You don’t have to be so nervous around me, you know that, don’t you?”

“I know, it’s just nerve racking at the moment, With Shining and Cadence leaving the both of us in charge, I can’t help it,” Sunburst apologized. “I know they’ve put a lot of faith in me but…”

Twilight led Sunburst out of the room and gave him a reassuring smile, “Sunburst you need to have more faith in yourself; you know that we can count on you to take care of Flurry Heart. At least for now.”

Sunburst looked around and asked, “Where's your little purple dragon assistant? Didn’t Spike come with you?”

“Yes he did, but he’s still dozing from the train trip coming here. But, I’m sure he’ll be up soon, knowing him he won’t stay asleep for long in the Crystal Empire.” Twilight yawned while rubbing her eyes.

Sunburst with a worried expression replied, “Do you need some sleep too?”

Twilight shook her head and with a hint of annoyance muttered, “No, I’m fine, I was just a  little tired from the train ride, and I was also this busy morning, with some royal issues..”

Just then, Shining and Cadence passed by, their enumerable suitcases held in their telekinesis, as they headed to the front doors. Upon seeing her brother, Twilight’s fatigue left her mind, and she shouted, “Hey, Shining!”

Upon hearing his name. Shining turned to Twilight and with a big smile he shouted, “Twily!” The two ran into an embrace and held it for a bit. Then Shining sighed and apologized, “I’m sorry, Twilight, I just wish we could spend some time together before I leave.”

Twilight pushed her big brother and replied, “Hey, you and Cadence deserve a break. But when you get back, you owe me big for this!”

Shining laughed out loud at his sister’s bold statement and replied with leverty, “I’ll keep that in mind.”

Cadence came up to Twilight, and gave her a big hug as she whispered, “Thank you so much for coming to help us out.”

Twilight blushed and smiled, despite the embarrassment. ”I wouldn't miss a chance to have some alone time with my niece.” She replied.

Cadence perked up and asked,”Did Sunburst give you the list of things Flurry needs?”

Twilight turned towards  Sunburst, “Yep, and I got everything this morning. Besides it seems you’ve overstocked on foal stuff.”

”Please, there’s no such thing as enough foal supplies,” Cadence groaned. “I speak from experience.

Shining sighed in weariness and shuddered as he mumbled, “Tell me about it. Who knew Flurry Heart would go through so many diapers in one week?”

Everypony present laughed together (though Sunburst, on his part, only gave a nervous chuckle). 

Cadence then turned towards Sunburst and asked, “Sunburst, is Flurry doing okay? I would go see her, but I know she’s asleep.”

“She’s fine, but I'm sure she’ll be up soon.” Sunburst hurriedly replied.

Cadence sighed in resignation, but she then shook her head, “No, I should say bye to her before I go. It’s the least I can do, right Shining?” 

Shining nodded, “Sure let’s go say bye to her,” Then he turned to Twilight and whispered, “Thanks again for everything, and if there’s any trouble with Flurry, please let us know.”

Twilight whispered back with her tone of mocked authority, “Of course, you and Cadence go on your cruise. Sunburst and I can take care of things for you while you’re both away.”

Shining ruffled his sister’s mane, as she groaned while he winked at her,”Alright, and Twilight, thank you.”

Twilight smiled in kind and replied, “It’s my pleasure.”

Shining then followed his wife down the hall, while Sunburst followed quickly behind.





Cadence was now in Flurry's room hovering over her crib making faces and babbling, “Oh, who’s Mama’s adorable little pumpkin?” 

Flurry was now wide awake and flailing her hooves, giggling and gurgling at her mother. 

Shining stood by his wife looking down at their foal with content. He then said to his daughter, “Now you be a good little filly for Auntie Twilight and Mr. Sunburst, you hear?”

Flurry shrieked, placed her hooves in her mouth and began to suckle on them. Cadence dawwed and whispered, “Oh, I think she’s hungry.”

Sunburst picked Flurry up with his telekinesis, “I’ll get her fed now.”

Cadence smiled at the two and ruffled her daughter’s mane, “You be good now, Flurry, don’t get into trouble while I’m gone.”

Flurry seemed to recognize that her mom was going away and began to whimper, tears starting to wail up. Shining recognizing the signs of an impending crises shouted, Oh no, here it comes!”

Flurry then began to wail in her full foal might of deceptively powerful little lungs  with her cries reverberating through the chamber! All the ponies had to cover their ears to protect them from the piercing shrieks.

Sunburst quickly placed a bottle of milk in the squirming foal’s mouth and hushed her by patting her on his back. Cadence giving Flurry Heart a worried look as Shining whispered, “Honey, Flurry is going to be fine.”

Cadence sighed, “Yeah, you’re right, we’d better get going.”

“Don’t worry she’s going to be just fine.” Twilight explained as she hugged Cadence.

Shining looked outside and shouted, “Honey, we need to go before we miss the train!”

Cadence nodded, “Right,” She turned to Flurry one last time before Shining gave her a irritated look and  she sighed, “Alright let’s go.”

Soon the crystal couple was rushing down the hall, as Twilight wiped the sweat from her brow. She turned to Sunburst ,who was cuddling Flurry in his hooves. Twilight gave them a happy smile “Well, I’ll leave things to you then.”

Sunburst just gave Twilight a nod, as she slowly left the nursery and shut the door behind her, leaving Sunburst with his young charge.






> Chapter one: A Strange Trip to the Park

Flurry Heart  was now playing with her toys and crawling around her room. Meanwhile, Sunburst was busy packing up a bunch of diapers, some bottles, wipes, and a blanket, underneath Flurry’s foal buggy. 


Spike came into the room, rubbing his eyes as he asked, “Um, Sunburst, where are you?”


“He-ow!” Sunburst smacked his head on the foal buggy and fell backwards as Spike chuckled, “There you are.”


Sunburst got up, rubbing his head as he mumbled to Spike, “Did Twilight send you?”


“Yeah she did, she thought it best if you had more eyes on Flurry.” Spike explained as he came up to Flurry Heart, who was now shaking a rattle vigorously while cooing and babbling away with glee. 


Sunburst sighed, “Well ,that’s good to hear.”


Spike eyed the alicorn baby suspiciously and asked, “From what I heard she’s quite a troublesome little foal.”


Flurry Heart looked up at Spike and eyed him, then pounced on his head and began suking on his scales, making him scream and fall to the ground!


Sunburst burst into laughter as Spike was now rolling around trying to shake Flurry Heart off. When he finally removed her, she began to tear up and wail again with her ear piercing shrieks! Spike had to put his claws over his ears as Sunburst quickly took her into his telekinesis and hugged her close, calming her down. 


Spike, in awe asked, “How do you do that?”


“I don’t know,” Sunburst murmured as he placed the alicorn foal into the buggy. “She and I have known each other for quite sometime now. She’s probably just used to me.” 


Spike brushed himself off as he mumbled, “Well i'm just here to help, I hope I won’t have to do more than that.”


Sunburst replied, “It’s alright, I probably won’t need that much help with her. Besides we're heading to the park today so I can keep a close eye on her. You can help with diaper changes or you can hold her when I fix her a bottle.”


Spike groaned and mumbled, “Oh great, diapers, well that sounds like fun.”


Sunburst gave the grumpy purple dragon a smirk  as he grasped the handle of the the foal buggy in his telekinesis. “Alright then, come on Spike. The faster we get Flurry her play time, the sooner she’ll get tired out and the more time you can have to enjoy the Crystal Empire.”


Spike rolled his eyes and grumbled, “Twilight owes me big time for this, especially if I get stuck with diaper duty.”







Sunburst was now pushing Flurry Heart’s foal carriage through the busy streets of the Crystal Empire, while Spike toddled alongside them. Sunburst constantly looked around the streets on high alert, while Spike looked up in boredom and asked, “So, do we have to stay here all day?”


Sunburst looked up to see a playground complete with a blue jungle gym, slides, a swing set, and surrounded in sand, as the crystaller replied, “Of course not, but we do have to stay for at least for an hour or two. Cadence wants Flurry to socialize and get acquainted with the other foals within the kingdom. So she has her come here often.”


“Well, I’m gonna go read on the bench, call me if you need me.” Spike said, as he wandered away.


Sunburst turned his attention to the park filled with foals of all ages, they either running around or playing in the sand. Flurry was already squealing to be taken out of her foal buggy flailing her tiny hooves and flapping her oversized wings. Sunburst lifted the foal from her seat and placed her with the rest of the foals. She shouted in glee, as she crawl into the sand and started to babble with the other foals, soon she was busy building a sandcastle.


Sunburst looked up at the other mothers chatting or watching their foals. Some gave him funny looks and giggled amongst themselves. Sunburst just blushed and smiled at them, as one dark colored crystal pony waved at him, as he blushed and waved back. Flurry then came over and pulled on his cloak, her mouth covering it in foal drool. Sunburst dawwed at her and ruffled her mane a bit as she babbled, “Pway!”


Sunburst gave his young charge a playful nuzzle, “Now now, Flurry, go play with your other friends.”


Flurry turned to the other foals and shook her head, “No.”


Sunburst poked Flurry in the belly, making her giggle as he cooed, “Oh is Flurry being naughty?”


Flurry squealed in delight and began crawling away as Sunburst chased after her. She turned a corner to hide, only for Sunburst to snatch her up in his telekinesis. She squealed in delight as he brought her close and cooed as she hugged him, “There there, Flurry, you just wanted to play with me, huh?” Flurry just nuzzled his fur and began to suckle on it, making Sunburst chuckle and hold her even closer, as she peered up at him and him back at her. He kissed her on the forehead, before she started to squint her eyes and scrunch up her face. “What is it? Are you goin-” Sunburst asked, but before he could say anything else, Flurry sneezed a magical cloud of a very light yellow in color.







The cloud quickly disappeared, but what was left was an orange coated chubby foal with a small white mark on his muzzle. Said foal woke to sand in his mouth and quickly spat it out. He looked around and saw that the playground that greeted his eyes was enormous, the structures and swings towered over him. Meanwhile, Flurry was gazing at him with an odd look, and then She suddenly asked, “Sunny, wha happen? Why ya a fowl?”


Sunburst struggled to get up, shocked at how tiny and fat his limbs were he looked at Flurry in horror and shouted, “Wha di ya do to me?!” He gasped as he put a hoof to his mouth (and for some reason began to suckle it) as he lisped, “My vowice, wha happe to my vowice?”


Flurry Heart looked at her foalafied crystaller/babysitter and babbled, “Ya a fowlie, Sunny.”


Sunburst started to tear up and whined, “I can’t be a fowl! Ya hawe to chwange me back!”


Foal Heart began to tear up too as she cried,”I can’t, I don know how I change ya to a  fowl!”


Sunburst gasped and came over to hug Flurry Heart and stroked her soft fur as he whispered, “It’s okay, Fwuwwy, I fine. I tink you tuwned me to a foaw by accident when you sneezed magic”


Flurry Heart stopped crying and looked up, “Well how do we change ya back?”


Sunburst turned to Spike, who was reading a comic book on a park bench, “I got an idea. We got to go to Spike and tell him what happe, and tat we need to get back to the pawace.” Sunburst explained


Flurry Heart giggled as she was poking Sunburst’s exposed belly and shouted, “Ya fat now!”


Sunburst giggled seeing his chubby foal body jiggle, “Stop it, Fwuuwwy.” He protested lightly.

But Flurry didn’t listen and instead she shouted,”Sunny is a fowl!” She began feeling him all over and upon feeling how soft he was now she cooed, “Ya softa then when ya was an adwlt.”


Sunburst giggled as he flipped Flurry over and he was now on top of her. He gave her a smile of triumph and shouted, “Now I’m on top, Fwuwwy!”


Flurry Heart giggled as she flipped him over, and she pounced on him shouting, “Na uh. I on top, Sunny!”


Sunburst spat out the sand in his mouth, as he looked back up at Flurry and asked, “Alwight Fuwwuy, can ya ge off? I gotta see Spike and teww him wha happened.”


Flurry seemed reluctant, as she asked in a  pleading tone, “Can we pway a bit wonga, Sunny?”


Sunburst sighed and mumbled, “We can’t Fwuwwy, I gotta get back ta bein a adwlt.”


Flurry Heart shook her head and hugged Sunburst, with her wings folding over him close to her chest, “No, ya a fowl now, and ya neva go bein a adwlt!”


Sunburst gasped for breath, but no matter how hard he tried he couldn’t pull away from Flurry Heart’s grasp, he then wheezed, “Fine we pway.”


Flurry squealed in delight, dropping Sunburst into the sand as she bounced in the air and shouting “Pway! Pway!”


Sunburst turned towards Spike and asked, “Can we pway a game with Spwike?”


Flurry tilted her head and asked, “Whas Spi?” Sunburst pointed to the purple and green scaled dragon as Flurry  shouted, “He no Spi he puwple.”


Sunburst smiled and chuckled, “Yes, he’s puwple, bu hi name is Spike.”


Flurry gave him a confused look again as Sunburst sighed, “Wook we can discuss this wata, fow now wets pway,” Under his breath he added. “Maybe I ca catch his attenon and get him to twake us back to the castwe.”


Flurry began to giggle again while shouting, “Pway! Pway!”


Sunburst sighed, looked over at Spike, and then said to Flurry/ “Now wet’s play, whoever can get to pupwle the fastwst wins, okay?”


Flurry lifted her wings and started crawling through the sand before Sunburst could say anything. Sunburst began crawling alongside her, but it was hard as his muscles felt weirder and softer than before, making his movements wobbly and uncoordinated. Also what seemed a short distance as an adult now seemed to him a hoofball field away from the purple and green scaled dragon. He was crawling right along side Flurry for a while when all of a sudden a shadow fell over him and scooped him up.







Spike was unconcerned, with what had transpired. Flurry Heart, he’d been told, got these magical bursts of power all the time. So he was currently transfixed on the heroes battling villains in his comics, when he suddenly felt something wet and slimy sucking on his tail. He looked down and couldn’t help but chuckle seeing Flurry Heart sucking his tail. He scooped her up into his claws and held her close to his chest as she squealed wildly, which only made Spike laugh, “Hold it, I don’t want you to fall.”


Flurry looked up at Spike and started to babble away as he asked, “What are you trying to tell me?”He then looked around the park and asked, “Hey, where did Sunburst go?”


Flurry also began looking around and she cried out a bunch of foal babble. Spike also got worried as he looked around the park while shouting, “Sunburst!” But no pony answered and Flurry Heart began to whimper as Spike in a worried tone mumbled, “Oh, how did I lose the baby sitter?”







Sunburst opened his eyes to a yellow coated crystal pony mare with big green eyes and a blonde flowing main. He was nestled in her lap with a pacifier now in his mouth. She then took him into her embrace and whispered. “Oh sweetie, there you are, I was worried that something was wrong.”


Sunburst didn’t know what to do as he was now smothered in yellow fur clutching at it with his flailing hooves. He began to feel a sense of love from the mare but he also felt the sense of fear grow in him, and he suddenly felt something grow wet and warm around his crotch.”


The mare must of noticed too as she giggled, “Oh, I’m sorry, I must of scarred you. Good thing I took precautions or I would be soaked too.”


Sunburst didn’t understand what the mare was saying, until he saw that his rump was now wrapped in a white poofy diaper. He squealed, his pacifier dropping from his mouth, as the mare hushing him and placed it back in while cooing, “There there, little one, Mommy's here.”


Sunburst suckled the pacifier and gently fell back into the mare’s lap, and as she calmed him down she whispered, “Now go to sleep little one.”


The mare suddenly turned around as she somepony shouting, “Sunburst!” She looked back at the foal and asked, ”Sunburst? Is he a wizard?” She then heard it again, as she looked back at the orange foal and scooped him up. She made her way across the park, and came upon a little dragon holding a crying Flurry Heart and shouting, “Sunburst, where did you go?!”


“Um excuse me?” The mare asked, clearing


Spike turned and the mare as she gave him a loving smile, “Oh Spike The Brave and Glorious, I heard you're looking for a pony named Sunburst?”


Spike eyed the mare and asked, “Thanks but I think there’s only one Sunburst.”


The mare held up the foal who looked up at Spike and started kicking his tiny back legs and holding out his forelegs, squealing and sputtering. Flurry Heart giggled and began doing the same thing. It took all the might of the mare and Spike to hold their respective charges back as Spike replied, “No, that can't be him, Sunburst is a full grown stallion. He couldn’t possibly have turned into a foal.”


The mare nodded, “Oh, that's too bad, because I found this foal naked in the sand with no parents. I was hoping to find them but I haven't seen any ponies that looked even remotely like him or are looking for him. What kind of ponies would be so cruel as to leave an adorable little one like this alone in the park without any protection?”


The orange coated foal, unable to break from the mare’s grip, began to cry as did Flurry Heart. This prompted Spike to shout, “How about we take him just in case, and have the two stay at the palace until we can find his parents, or figure out if he is Sunburst!”


The mare could only nod as she hoofed the colt to Spike who now had two giggling foals kicking and drooling all over him. The mare dawwed. “Well, it looks these two are best friends.”

Spike was having his spines pulled by Flurry, and he grunted, “They sure are. I’d better get going and tell Twilight what’s going on.”


Flurry then jumped onto Spike’s head, making him fall backward with the two foals now giggling and rolling on his belly, which only made the mare daww a second time. She then lifted the two in her telekinesis and said to Spike. ”Do you have a foal buggy ready?”

Spike got up, muttering about his day being ruined and went off as the mare brought the two foals into her fore hooves. They snuggled next to each other as they began sputtering foal babble, while the mare whispered, “I wonder what you two could be talking about?”    
> Chapter Two: How to be a Foal
> --------------------------------------------------------------------------

 Sunburst was now being tucked snuggly into the foal buggy next to Flurry Heart by Spike. The mare from earlier came by with a bright green crystal pony foal with a lock of light yellow for a mane. The mare whispered.”Oh, you’re doing such an amazing job, Spike.”


Spike looked up with a gleam in his eyes, turned to the foal and asked, “Thank you, by the way who’s this?”


The mare smiled down at her foal, “She's Gemstone, my daughter. In fact she and Flurry Heart play with each other quite often.” The mother then proceeded to place Gemstone in with Sunburst and Flurry Heart. as she whispered sweetly to them, “Go play.”


Gemstone gawked upon seeing Flurry Heart she, started screaming and cooing frantically as Flurry babbled back and the two hugged each other.

The mare then turned to Sunburst who gave her an odd look as she gasped,”Oh, I forgot, the colt wet himself! I’d better get him changed right away, can’t believe that slipped my mind for so long!” The other two foals giggled as she took up Sunburst, carried him to a park bench with a hoofful of diapers, wipes, foal cream and powder and began the change. Sunburst cried abit, completely embarrassed by how this mare was changing his diaper. As he began to squirm she quickly placed a pacifier in his mouth. “There there, suckle on that and everything will be alright,” She reassured him. The mare continued the change, putting a new diaper around Sunburst’s little rump. She quickly slid his tail through the tail hole and kissed him on the cheek, making him cross his front hooves over his face prompt the mare to coo some more, “Oh, you're just an adorable little colt.” She then gently settled him in between the other two foals who were still giggling and babbling with each other.


Spike came over and couldn’t help but daww as well as he whispered, “They’re so cute together.”

The mare nodded and replied, “Yes they are, but we should get going. Princess Twilight is probably worried. Best not to keep a princess waiting.” She then took the foal buggy and began pushing it down the road.


Spike turned to the mare and quickly asked, “Oh, I never got your name. Who are you?”


“I’m Sunstone,” The mare responded. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Spike The Brave and Glorious.”





Sunburst was still looking at the two foals with surprise as they were talking amongst each other. Gemstone babbled,”Mommy got me a new cwib."

“Wow, that's so cool!” Flurry shouted in delight before she remembered her parents and she couldn’t help but sniffle and whine, “Mommy and Daddy wet somwhewe.”


Flurry started to tear up as Sunburst babled, “Don wowwie Fuwwy, ya mommy and daddy went on a vacatwion and thewe be back soon.”


”Wha’s a vacwation?”  Flurry asked.


Sunburst perked up and replied, “Is wike a bweak, but they wll be back.”


Flurry blushed and looked down at herself as she mumbled to Sunburst, “Ya pwomice?”

Sunburst nodded his head, “I pwomice. Tat’s why they weft me and youw Auntie Twiwight in chawge.”


Gemstone put a hoof in her mouth and babbled. “Don wowwie, my mommy gow on vacwations all the time and she always comes back,” Then she turned to Sunburst and asked, “Fwuwwy, who’s this?”

Flurry picked Sunburst up and shouted, “He’s Sunny, my bestest fwiend! And... I accidentwy tuwned him into a foal.”

Gemstone giggled and shouted, “Wai ya Sunny!?”

Sunburst with a pout muttered, “Yeah, but I Sunbuwst no Sunny.”

Gemstone took her slimy hoof out of her mouth and babbled to Sunburst,”I Gemstwone.” 

Sunburst reluctantly shook Gemstone’s hoof as he mumbled, ”Nice ta meet ya Gemstwone.”

Just then Flurry shouted, “Sunnny, ya diapee is all wellow again!”

Flurry and Gemstone both squealed in laughter as Sunburst looked down and placed his front hooves in front of his diaper, it only took him a minute to realize he’d been lied to. 

Realizing she’d been caught, Flurry quick;y babbled, “I was joking, Sunny. Besides you’ll get wuse to it! Is pawt of being a foaw.”

Sunburst turned his head in shame as Flurry got up, revealed that her diaper was soaked, and said, “Hey, wook, I actuawy peed.”

Gemstone groaned, ”Oh, I did too, bu Mommy jus changed me.”


The two foals both giggled as Sunburst eyed them, “So ya jus use to it? Ya dun cwy?”

Flurry rolled her eyes, “Of couwse. We onwy cwy when it gets uncomfowtable.”

Gemstone added, “Yeah, Sunbuwst. If ya think thas bad, wait to ya mess yaself.”

Sunburst couldn’t help but shiver on the inside at that the very thought of that. “I hope I ge back ta nowmal befowe tha happens.” He muttered to himself.

Quickly changing the subject, Flurry whispered in Gemstone’s ear as she nodded and asked, “Alwight Sunnybuwst I gotta show ya how ta be a fowl. Ya weady?”

Sunburst eyed the two foals and asked, “Wha do ya mean, Fwuwwy Heawt? I can be a fowl!”


Gemstone giggled, as Flurry eyed Sunburst, “Oh weally?”


Sunburst shouted back, “Yeah, weally!” He couldn’t really explain why, but he felt like he had to prove himself.


Flurry Heart put her entire hoof into her mouth, taunting Sunburst by saying “I bet ya can’t do thwis.”

Gemstone placed her hoof into her mouth as Sunburst looked down at his hooves. Not wanting to be outdone by two foals, he took his right hoof and began to suckle. His face lit up at the sensation and the other foals giggled.






After stopping for a quick diaper change for Flurry Heart and Gemstone, Spike and Sunstone were now nearing the Crystal Palace.

Spike opened the front doors of the palace and led himself, Sunstone, and the foals inside. They soon found Twilight, who had just finished talking with some nobles. 

“Oh, hello Spike.” Twilight warmly greeted, not suspecting anything.

Spike immediately shouted, “Oh Twilight, you can’t imagine how happy I am to see you right now!”


“What is it?” Twilight asked with concern in her voice, and she quickly noticed something. “And where’s Sunburst?”

Spike gulped as he reluctantly said, ”Twilight, I think that Sunburst was turned into a foal somehow!”


Twilight (much to Spike’s surprise) threw back her head and laughed, “Oh sure, Spike. And bits just fall from the sky if you wish for them. Now tell me honestly, what’s really happened to Sunburst?”

Spike groaned, he realized there was no way Twilight would believe him until she saw it for herself, so he led her over to the foal buggy.


Twilight peered inside the buggy, and her eyes nearly popped out upon seeing three foals. When the shock wore off, her eyes focused on the orange coated one who looked up and quickly took the hoof out of his mouth, as the other two fillies giggled.Twilight picked said foal up with her magic and asked Spike, “So, you think this little one is Sunburst?”

Spike shrugged, “I don’t know for sure Twilight, but at the park he mysteriously disappeared and this foal was found by this mare named Sunstone.”

Twilight examined the foal held in her magic as he balled and waved his tiny hooves frantically. Reacting quickly, Twilight tickled him until his cries turned to giggles, then she replied, “Well let me see if I can find a way to verify his identity,” And to Sunstone she said. ““Thank you for assisting Spike.”


Sunstone bowed her head, “Think nothing of it, princess. I’m just glad I could help, and that my daughter has a new playmate. Is there anything you need from me?”

Twilight shook her head, “Not at the moment. Thank you again for making sure Flurry Heart and this foal got back here safely.”

Sunstone smiled and bowed, “I would never let a helpless little foal come to harm. This little one clearly had nopony to take care of him. Now I guess I should get going. It’s nearly time for Gemstone’s nap.” She whispered as she took the foal into her foal buggy. 

But Flurry Heart began to wail again, which prompted Twilight to ask loudly, “Do you think you could you watch Flurry while I see to this foal? If he really is who Spike says he is, I’ll need to find a way to change him back. And I don’t think I can do that, run the Crystal Empire while the royal family is away, and take care of Flurry Heart. And Spike’s only got two claws, and something tells me none of the royal guards here have any foalsitting expertise.”
Sunstone nodded, quickly calming Flurry Heart down by placing a pacifier in her mouth. “Alright, I suppose I can manage. Gemstone will be thrilled to finally have a playdate with Flurry Heart at her place instead of having to always meet at the playground.”


Twilight smiled and nodded as she continued, “Spike, please show Miss. Sunstone to the nursery. If Sunburst turns up at all or somepony comes by saying they’ve lost a foal, let me know.”


“Sure thing.” Spike replied with a bow. He then lead the mare and the two foals (who were now on Sunstone’s back) down the castle hallway. Meanwhile Twilight took the orange coated foal up to her room.






Sunburst gazed at the now giant purple coated alicorn, he was in complete amazement over how big she looked. “Twily, ya huge!” He babbled.

Twilight giggled, completely unaware of what the foal had just said, and whispered, “Oh, what a curious little foal.”  She then settled the foal on top of her bed and laid him down, hushing him as he kicked his legs. She proceeded to take a hair from his mane and placed it in a beaker on a counter. She then began to mix a variety of different colored potions in various beakers. 


All the while Sunburst was looking around the room with a new foalish perspective at how big everything is. He looked down at his back hooves and for some reason he tried to suckle them while trying to fold them over. He frowned at each attempt as his back legs fell, making his diaper crinkle quite loudly. Twilight giggled turning her head from time to time watching Sunburst flail about while trying to put his back hooves in his mouth. She turned her head back to the beaker and mumbled, “If this mixture turns orange then somehow that means this foal is Sunburst,” She watched the mixture with intense scrutiny, and was shocked when she saw it turn from a baby blue to the same orange as the coat of the foal. She sighed, faced with the reality that had previously seemed almost impossible “So you are Sunburst.”


Sunburst smiled at this as Twilight came over and hugged him, “But who did this to you? What happened?” She asked him, hoping to somehow be able to get an answer out of him.


Sunburst began babbling frantically, “I was accidentwy tuwned to a fowl by Fwuwwy Heawt, Twile, ya got ta bewieve me!” But alas, to Twilight his words sounded like unintelliegable gibberish.

Twilight sighed and kissed the foal now known to be Sunburst on the forehead. “If only I could speak foal,” She sighed. “I’ll investigate what happened and get to the bottom of this. Somehow I’ll turn you back to normal. But in the meantime...” She placed him back on the bed and gave him a raspberry on the tummy making him giggle and scream in laughter, as she gazed upon Sunburst’s infantile face and rubbed it with a hoof. Sunburst then started to blow raspberries with his mouth. Her heart melted making her kiss the small colt on the forehead, “Now how about we get you back with your friends?” She cooed.


Sunburst giggled and shouted excitedly  unintentionally sending spit all over the place. Twilight kissed him on the forehead again and took him on her back, trotting down the hall with a skip in her step.





Spike and Sunstone watched as Flurry Heart was laughing wildly with Gemstone, as they were now placing giant blocks on top of each other. 

Twilight came into the nursery carrying the foalfied “wizard”, and placed Sunburst down, who crawled over to the two other foals and they hugged each other. Sunstone cooed, ”Is this adorable little baby really Sunburst?”


Twilight nodded her head and replied, “Yes I think so, I used an identification spell on some of his hair.”

Spike gasped, “But how did he become a foal in the first place?I thought you said age spells could only be performed by powerful unicorns.”


Twilight turned to Spike. ”That is an excellent question, Spike, and unfortunately I don’t know the answer. Did you see what happened by any chance.?”


Spike reluctantly bowed his head as he confessed. ”I was reading a comic book at the time. I’m sorry.”


Twilight sighed. “It’s okay, Spike. You had no way to know what was going to happen,” She turned to Flurry who was squealing as her horn glowed, all of a sudden, she blasted the blocks making all three foals scream in laughter and kick their little back legs! Twilight scratched her chin as she pondered, “Did Flurry somehow turn him into a foal?”

Sunstone turned her head towards Twilight, “I don’t know, it could be possible though. Princess Cadence has told me many times that Flurry has become more unstable with her magical outbursts. But they usually were just blasts of energy, nothing as powerful as an age spell.”


Twilight looked back at Flurry and reluctantly she said. “Then turning Sunburst back to normal will be more difficult than I previously thought.””


“I could go ahead and look around the park, and see if any other pony saw anything. Ill inquire about Sunburst and this foal,” Sunstone offered. “It’s the least I can do for bringing them here.”

“Good idea,” Twilight agreed. “And I’ll come with you. Maybe I can figure out who casted the spell,” Then Twilight turned her head to Spike, “I guessm in the meantime, Spikem you're in charge of keeping these foals safe. Don’t worry, we shouldn't be gone that long.”


Spike blushed but still said. “Sure thing, Twilight, I’ll keep an eye on things here .”


Twilight replied firmly, “Alright then, I trust you, Spike. Don’t let me down.”







Sunburst watched as the big ponies ran off. He suddenly felt a feeling of fear and whimpered, “Whewe they goin?”


Flurry came over and hugged Sunburst and said, “Bi ponies hawe to go sometimwes, wemeba?”


Sunburst quickly realised he was crying over the adults leaving. He tried to put on a happy face, but found it more difficult than he realised. 


Gemstone replied, “I okay, my mommy always come back,” Then she immediately asked, “So why di the puwple pony take ya, Sunnybuwst?”

Sunburst shrugged, “I don weally know, Twile needed my haiw to pwove I’m Sunnybuwst.” He nearly gasped at the fact that he’d said his name so foalishly.


Flurry giggled. “That wewid, because you awe Sunnybuwst? Why did she need ya haiw?” Sunburst shrugged as Flurry then said. “Well now that ya back we can continue ya weasons,” 


Sunburst eyed Flurry as she pondered for a second and then told him, ”Now, ya hawe to hewp us webuild the towa!”


Gemstone turned and nagged at Flurry Heart, “Yeah becawse Fuwwy bwew up owa wast towa!”


Flurry Heart grumbled and crossed her forelegs, “Sowie my hown gwows sometimes, I don know how to contwo it ye.”


Sunburst wanting to cheer up Flurry, came over to her and sweetly told her, “Is okay, ya a fowl and ya goin to hawe magic outbusts now and again, tat’s why youw mommy and daddy made me youw cwsytaller. Now wets bwild a towa togetha.”


Flurry giggled and hugged Sunburst, then the three foals started to place blocks on top of each other. They continued building for some time, stacking their blocks on top of each other with their hooves until the tower was now over their heads. Flurry Heart tried using her horn to levitate one of her blocks but her horn only sputtered as she groaned, “Oh stupi hown wowk!”

Sunburst put a hoof around Flurry and told her, “When I get back to nowmal I’ll show ya how to contwo that hown.”

Flurry Heart looked up and cheerfully exclaimed, “Yeah, ya can! When ya a adwlt ya used ya hown all the time!” 


Sunburst then turned his head and concentrated all his attention to a block. He squinted his eyes and he concentrated his power to levitate the block with his horn. He mumbled, “Ya gotta concentwate wike this.” He tried with all his might to lift the block, but it just fell making the other foals laugh and giggle. 

Sunburst groaned as Flurry replied, “It’s alwaight, I gwess as a fowl ya ba at magic now.” Sunburst started sulking as he whimpered. Flurry Heart quickly hugged him to make him smile again. Then she said to him, “Wets pway somthin else.”


Gemstone looked at Spike and said outloud, “Wets pway, get the puwple dwagon!

Sunburst eyed his new foal friends and asked, “Saw wha?”


Flurry giggled, “Ywea! wets get the puwple dwagon, unnybuwst!”


Sunburst looked at Flurry Heart, then at Spike, and he giggled as he shouted,”Alwight, Fwuwwy Heawt, wets get that dwagon!”


Spike had been watching the foals for sometime. But they suddenly came up and started crawling around his legs as he dawwed and asked, “Oh, what do you want?” Flurry pounced on him again, as did the other two, causing him to fall to the ground. He tried to get the foals off him but they clung to him like glue, “watching these foals, is going to be harder than I thought.” He complained.
          

> Chapter Three: A foalfied wizard, his mom and a strange vial.

    Twilight and Sunstone were going around the park where Sunburst disappeared. Twilight came to the center of the sand filled area, where she fold a crystal pony colt and filly tugging at a star covered cloak. Twilight came over and asked them, “Hey, what’s going on here?! What are you doing with that cloak?”


The colt shouted, “My sissy is trying to steal my cloak!”


“No I found it first!” The filly shouted back.


“If you two don't mind, could I possibly have the cloak?” Twilight asked them. “It’s very important.”


The colt immediately bowed and replied politely, “Of course Princess Twilight,” His sister looked at the cloak with some reluctance, but still dropped it. The colt then took out a pair of glasses and replied,”I also found these.”


Twilight lifted the objects with her magic while the colt asked, “Are those things yours?”


Twilight shook her head, “No, in fact they belong to a friend of mine who recently went missing.”


The two foals gasped as the colt asked, “So, who do they belong to?”


“Sunburst of course.” Twilight replied.


The filly immediately perked up, “Oh yeah, Sunburst! We see him come here every once in awhile.”


Hoping for details, Twilight asked, “You have, huh? So, did you see him come here today?”


The colt replied, “Yeah, my sissy and I were playing tag, and I saw him playing with Flurry Heart.”


The filly added, “I saw him too! He was over there!” She shouted pointing to the sand pit. 


“Did somepony foal nap Sunburst?!” The colt asked anxiously.


Not wanting to make the foals worry Twilight simply told them., “No, I’m sure he’s fine, now go run along. And if you find Sunburst, will you please tell me?”


The filly and the colt gave Twilight small smiles as they both said, “Okay, Princess Twilight, good luck finding him.” As they ran off, Twilight took hold of the objects and searched where the foals had pointed to. Upon inspection, she discovered a strange sparkle of some sort in the sand, and her horn instinctively flared to life. She sensed something was off with it, so she took out a vial, and scooped some of the glowing sand into it as she whispered, “This could be a clue. It might be a sign of powerful magic, the only question is who cast the spell and why?”







Meanwhile, Sunstone was busy talking to some parents with their sleeping foals, hoping to get some information about the orange coated foal and if anypony was missing such a foal. One mother told her, “Yes dear, I saw that naked foal. I was going to go grab him myself before you picked him up.”


“Is he alright?” The stallion asked.


Sunstone nodded and replied, “Oh, he’s fine, but I just wanted to know if you saw any other ponies that might look like him or were looking for him?”


The mare scratched her chin, “Now that you mention it, I saw a mare that looked quite similar to the wizard Sunburst not too long ago.”


Sunstone’s ears perked up upon hearing this, “Really?” She asked, hoping she hadn’t misheard.


“Yes she was older but had a similar colored coat, I assumed that she was related to him. However, when I tried to talk to her, she ran off.”


“Do you know if she’s still around?” Sunstone asked the mare. The couple shook their heads as Sunstone sighed, “Alright, well thank you anyways.”


Sunstone turned her head in time to see Princess Twilight fly up to her and ask, “Did you find anything?”


Sunstone shook her head, “I talked to everypony here, nopony saw what happened.”


Twilight then replied, “Well, I guess I was lucky then, a colt and a filly both said they saw Sunburst disappear, and I found his cloak and glasses near the sandpit. And that’s not all, I also noticed a sparkle of unknown origin in the same sand pit.”


Sunstone smiled, before she then asked. “So it seems Sunburst was turned into a foal, now we just need to know who cast the spell and to undo it.”


The two mares turned towards the Crystal Palace and started to head back when they heard a shout, “Wait! Princess Twilight!” They turned to see an older unicorn mare come running up to them. She had a dark orange coat, a brown and red mane, dark green eyes and a glowing sun with a swirl in the middle of it for a cutie mark. The mare then asked. “Did I get that right, your name is Princess Twilight Sparkle?”


Twilight hesitantly nodded as she replied, “Yes, that’s my name.”


The mare  smiled as she stood up, “I’m Sunswirl, and I’ve come to visit Sunburst. Believe it or not I’m...um...I’m Sunburst’s mother.”


Twilight gasped a she shook hooves with Sunswirl, “Well it’s a pleasure to meet you. I never imagined meeting Sunburst’s mother here.”


“I’m sorry, I should of come by sooner,” Sunswirl apologized. “ In fact I didn’t know where he’d gone after he left Canterlot. But when I heard he became Flurry Heart’s crystaller I knew I had to finally come and see him again. Oh, I hope he doesn’t hate me for never writing to him or trying to track him down.”


“It’s okay, I’m sure Sunburst will be thrilled to see you.” Twilight smiled.


But Sunswirl shook her head,  “I don’t think so. I’m actually kind of nervous about meeting my son...we haven't spoken in quite sometime.”


Sunstone gave Twilight an odd look as Twilight gulped and gave a nervous chuckle, “Well it’s great that you’re here to catch up with your son...but…”


Sunswirl quickly began to worry, a gasp escaping her lips! “Did something happen to Sunburst? Is he in trouble? did I come at a bad time?”


Sunstone immediately replied, “No, he’s fine. It’s just, well….”


Twilight sighed, looked Sunswirl in the eyes, and told her. “I think he’s a foal at the moment.”







Back at the castle, Sunburst was now being placed in Flurry’s crib along with Gemstone and Flurry Heart herself. 


Spike was exhausted, his body was shaking and sweat was pouring from his brow as he gasped, “Alright you three, you have a nice nap now.” 


Gemstone was gently closing her eyes, but Flurry and Sunburst were too excited. They were now babbling and giggling to each other. Sunburst whispered to Flurry Heart, “So, Fluwwy, afta owa nap, I wana go in ya bouncey thing.”


Flurry replied, “Weeally?” Her eyes all aglow.


“Uh yeah, is tat okay?” Sunburst asked nervously.


Flurry booped Sunburst on the nose as she replied, “Of couwse it is, but befowe ya do that ya got to compwete ya fowl twaining.”


“Oh, what do I have to do now?” Sunburst asked.


Flurry scratched her chin, before she giggled and replied, “Ya hungwy?”


Sunburst realized his stomach was growling and said, “I guess so?”


Flurry then replied, “Then we gotta get owa bottles.”


“Woah, bottles? I ...I don know. Besides, how do we'll tell Spike we hungwy?” Sunburst asked.


Flurry and Gemstone both laughed as Flurry told Sunburst, “We cwy, duh.”


Sunburst rolled his eyes. “Of cowse, should've known that.”


Flurry and Gemstone began to scrunch their faces up as Spike whispered, “Oh no!” Sunburst sighed, seeing that the other foals had begun wailing he started to wail along with them. Spike immediately came over, and then he looked around as he sighed, “I guess you three must be hungry.” He quickly went off and came back with bottles of milk, he placed one in each oto the hungry foals’ mouths. 


When Sunburst grabbed his, he was reluctant to put his mouth on the amber niple but he turned to see that Flurry and Gemstone were greedily sucking down their formula. Sunburst sighed, as he then took the bottle and placed it into his mouth. His eyes went wide at how good the creamy formula tasted and continued to suckle on it. He giggled, accidentaly squirting some milk from his mouth, but he continued to suck down his lunch, now more content than ever. 


Spike watched the foals, and when he saw that Sunburst was having trouble gripping his bottle, he helped Sunburst sit up and cooed, “It’s okay, Sunburst, I got it.” He then moved the bottle closer to Sunburst’s mouth.


Sunburst snuggled under his foal blanket and let Spike hold the bottle close to his mouth. As Sunburst’s eyes lazily drifted, he felt the power of sleep overwhelm him. He slowly closed his eyes, and before Spike knew it, all three foals were finally asleep.


Spike sighed in relief, seeing that all three babies were now deep in their dreams. Just then, Twilight, Sunstone, and another mare came into the room, causing Spike to whisper, “Please be quiet, I just got them to sleep.”


Twilight quickly came over to the slumbering foals and whispered, “Good job, Spike. I didn’t know you were so good with foals.”


Spike smirked, “Well, how can the Spike The Brave and Glorious save the Crystal Empire, and not take care of three foals?”


Twilight rolled her eyes, while Spike looked at the new mare who slowly came up to the crib and asked, “Is that really, Sunburst?”


“Yeah, as far as we know.” Spike replied.


The mare touched Sunburst’s cheek as tears welled up in her eyes  “Oh, this is so surreal. I almost forgot how cute he looked as a foal.”


“So, is she Sunburst’s mother?” Spike asked Twilight.


Twilight nodded and replied, “Her name is Sunswirl,” Then to Sunswirl she offered. “If you want you can stay with your son for a bit/”


Sunswirl smiled as she looked up, “Oh, I would love to.”


Twilight then turned to Spike and asked, “Spike, um can I ask you for a small favor?”

Spike looked up. “Was is it?”


“Can you run things in the throne room for a few hours while I find a cure? I left some unfinished business while I was away.” Twilight explained..


Spike smiled brightly, “Of course I can, I’d rather do that than babysit.”


Twilight sighed, “Great, but his time don’t get distracted or carried away.”


Spike turned his head and blushed,”I learned my lesson, you won’t have to worry about floods or angry mobs this time.”


Twilight and Spike both laughed, then Spike quickly left the playroom.


Twilight turned to the two motherly mares and was going to say more. However, she quickly saw how the mothers were now dawwing and cuddling their foals so peacefully, and she didn’t want to disturb them.  So Twilight silently walked out of the nursery and closed the door gently behind her. 







Sunburst woke with a start, momentarily forgetting where he was and what had happened to him. As he got his bearings, he realized that a familiar mare was looking down on at him with large sweet eyes. He babbled, “No, can it really be?”


“Did you wake up?” Sunswirl cooed, as lifted her son into her loving embrace. He groaned, as he felt his tummy was upset. “Oh, are you gassy?” Sunswirl asked, she then placed her foal over her shoulder and started patting his padded behind. He suddenly spat up milk over her and Sunstone laughed, “Oh, Gemstone does that all the time.”                                                               


Sunswirl laughed too, “Yes I should’ve realized. How foolish of me.” She began cleaning her back up as Sunburst asked, “Mommy, why ya hewe?”


Sunswirl smiled at Sunburst’s incoherent babble and replied, “I know it’s been a while since we last saw each other. But don't you worry, Mommy is going to take good care of you.” She then sniffed the air and gagged. 


Sunburst curiously looked down, realized his diaper was sagging, and gasped in horror. “Aw no! I can’t bewieve I messed mysewf!”


Surprisingly, Sunswirl giggled and laughed, “For some reason. I can't wait to change your diapee again, my little Sunshine.” She then lifted him onto the changing table and started un-taping his soiled diaped. 


“So, do you have any other children?” Sunstone asked Sunswirl.


Sunswirl paused during the diaper change and sighed, “No, Sunburst is my only child.”


“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to pry.” Sunstone apologized.


“It’s alright…” Sunswirl replied, as she turned to Sunstone and asked, “By the way, I never got your name. What is it?”


“It’s Sunstone.” The crystal pony replied.


Sunswirl giggled, “Funny how our names are almost alike. It’s almost as if we were related,”’ Sunburst cried a bit as Sunswirl turned her attention back to her colt, “Oh, don’t worry, I'm going to clean you up. Mommy hasn’t forgotten.” Sunswirl resumed changing her son’s messy diaper, he gurgled as she finished wiping his bottom and began rubbing the foal cream into his nether regions. As she did so, she whispered, “It’s been too long. I should of come to see you graduate. But you never told your father or I what happened after you left Celestia’s school.”


Sunburst turned his head with a pout as his mother whispered, “Well we can talk about that when we get you back to normal,” She then sprinkled foal powder all over his rump, prompting him to sneeze and snot to fly everywhere. Sunswirl laughed, “Oh, you’re still messy as ever.” She quickly cleaned his boggers, then lifted his back hooves and sprinkled the foal powder all over his rump as he quivered. 


“It seems you’ve kept your foal rearing skills.” Sunstone remarked.


“Yes it seems so, but it’s been so long since I last did something like this,” Sunswirl replied, as she continued strapping the diaper around her colt’s rump and strapped the tabs firmly over his belly. She then cooed, “Now give me a few good kicks for Mommy.”


Sunburst kicked his back legs, frantically causing clouds of foal powder to billow around him. Sunswirl then kissed him on the forehead and placed him on the padded floor of Flurry’s playroom. She began tickling him all over while he cooed and kicked his tiny legs. 


Soon other cries echoed through the room, and the mares quickly scooped up the crying foals and changed their wet diapers. They too were placed on the ground with them rubbing their eyes.


Flurry asked, “So, ya alweady awake, Sunnybuwst?”


Sunburst gave an exasperated sigh, “Yeah.”


Flurry giggled upon seeing the fresh diaper and asked, “Di ya make a wettie ow a messy?”

“He made a messy! I know it was him, I couwd smeww it!” Gemstone shouted as she crawled over to him, prompting Sunburst to cry.


Flurry pushed Sunburst slightly, “So wha? Ya a foal now, wememba?” She told him.


Sunburst reluctantly nodded, “Yeah, and I wike the foal podaw too.” He started to bounce on his padding causing more clouds of foal powder to poof around him. The other foals giggled and laughed as they too started bouncing, make clouds of foal powder envelop them.    Sunswirl blushed, as she could see the clouds of foal powder as clear as day.“Sorry, I didn’t realise I put so much on.”







Later that afternoon Sunburst was playing with his new friends and he looked up at his mom who waved to him. Flurry Heart looked up at the mysterious mare and asked, “So who’s that?”


Sunburst sighed with a hint of tension, “Yeah she’s my mommy.”

“Aww,” The foals all giggled. Then Flurry Heart asked, “Bu how is she ya mommy when ya a bi pony?”


Sunburst replied, “Well, I gwew up, Fwuuwwy Heawt, bu she’s still my mommy.”


Flurry groaned, “Oh well, I don wan yoa to gwow up and I don wan to gwow up eithew.”


Gemstone placed a hoof in her mouth and babbled, “Me neitha, gwoing up sownds bowing. Mommy and Daddy awways tawk about bowing gwon up stuff, and use tat scawy big potty that makes aww those woud noises.” 


Sunburst giggled at the foalish answers, before Flurry told him, “Well ya stiw haven't done the wast thing to finish my fowl twaining.”


Sunburst eyed Flurry and asked. “What’s that?”


Gemstone shook her head, “He can’t do tat, I don tink he’s weady.”


But Flurry simply replied to Gemstone, “Nah, I thin he’s weady.”


Sunburst was now bouncing on his diaper and with newfound excitement he shouted, “Wha is it?!”


Flurry shouted, “Ya gots ta make a mess!”

Sunburst tilted his head, “Wha do ya mean?”


Flurry turned to Gemstone “Ya know wha ta do. Show him!”


Gemstone looked around and spotted the bottle of foal powder and a pack of diapers that had been left near the changing table. She put her hooves to her mouth giggling, as she crawled over to the diaper changing table and knocked over the bottle of foal powder, spilling it everywhere and making more clouds billow around her! She squealed in laughter and began smearing it all over the padded floor.


The mares gasped and went over to her, while Flurry was already flying over to the changing table! She fell into the package of diapers and began throwing them into the air! The mares were soon busy trying to get the two fillies, who were now crawling around as fast as possible trying not to get caught. 


Sunburst looked around, trying desperately to find a way to get in on the the action when Twilight came in. “Hey everypony, I found a….” Her jaw dropped as she saw the mares picking up the giggling foals with foal powder and diapers now all over the place. Twilight quickly used her magic to help clean up the place and get the foals settled in their crib.


Sunswirl sighed, “Oh dear, this is all my fault. I left the diaper supplies out.”


But Sunstone laughed, “Oh don’t worry, it could’ve been a lot worse. Gemstone and Flurry Heart do this quite often.”


Twilight nodded as she then looked around. “Where’s Sunburst?”


Sunburst, seeing the vial on the ground, giggled and crawled across the floor to it, smashing it with his hooves. Twilight shouted, “No!” But it was too late, Sunburst gave her a confused look before vanishing!


> Chapter Four: The adventures at the Crystal Playplace

Twilight was stunned as she stood there, looking at where Sunburst had disappeared as Sunswirl asked, “What happened to him?”

”It...it was an accident.” Twilight finally commented.

“What do you mean?! I thought that was the cure!” Sunswirl exclaimed in frustration.

Twilight turned to Sunswirl as she confessed, “No, I couldn't find a cure. That was a potion that would bring me to the source of the powder.”

“Did you say powder?” Sunswirl asked.

Twilight nodded. “Yes I found an unusual magical powder of some sort at the park. I think that somepony turned Sunburst into a foal using that substance.” 

Sunswirl whispered, “And um…the potion you made, would it teleport you to the source of where the powder was created?”

“Precisely, I was to drink it and find where the powder was made.” Twilight sighed with regret in her voice.

Sunstone, in a worried tone commented, “So, Sunburst could be anywhere?”

Twilight looked down in shame as she continued, “Yes, and what’s worse is that I just hoofed him over to the pony responsible for turning him into a foal.”

”I’m sure that whoever did turn him into a foal would do no harm. They’d better not, for their sake!” Sunswirl remarked. The two other ponies turned to her with surprised looks. As Sunswirl whispered, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to get so worked up. It’s just, I’m worried about him.”

Twilight went over and hugged Sunswirl to calm her down. “It’s okay, don’t worry, we’ll find him. I’m willing to bet that whoever made that powder is still in the Crystal Empire.”

Meanwhile, Flurry Heart was now standing on her hind legs and pressing her forehooves on the bars of her crib. Looking at the adults with a confused look she mumbled.  “The adwlts say Sunnybuwst is missin.”

“Thas impossible, he was jus hewe a few minutes ago.” Gemstone replied as she was getting up from underneath her foal blanket.

Flurry Heart sat back down as she continued, “Well we can’t jus stay hewe. I told him ta make a mess and he disappeawed becawse of me,“ She wanted to wail but she held back as she looked towards the back of her room to a window. She shouted at Gemstone, “We gots ta find him!”

“So wha ya goin ta do?” Gemstone asked. 

Flurry Heart looked towards the window, “I’m goin to go find my bestest fwiend!”

Gemstone was sitting up now as she asked, “But how? I can’t see how we goin to find Sunnybuwst by owaselves, we can’t do it!”

But Flurry Heart replied, “Yea we can, I helped stop that meanie Qween Cwysalis.”

Gemstone rolled around the crib and laughed as she replied, “Yeaw wight, I heawd it was Thowax who beat the meanie Chwysalis.”

Flurry got flustered and shouted, “So what if he did? Ya goin to hewp me go find Sunnybuwst ow not?”

Gemstone put a hoof in her mouth and suckled it for a while as drool came from her mouth. Then she mumbled, “Fine Fluwwy, bu we gonna get in big twouble. We pwobably gonna get spankies.”

Flurry flew over and hugged her friend until their diapers scrunched together as she squealed, “Thank ya fow yow support Gemstone. Besides, we did wowse stuff befowe."

Gemstone took her hoof out of her mouth and hugged Flurry Heart, “Okay, bu how we gonna get out of hewe?”

Flurry Heart let go and turned towards the window in the back of her room, “We gots to fwy thwough thw window.”

Gemstone gasped as she asked, “Wha, ya can do that?!”

“Yea we can, ya twust me, wight?” Flurry replied as she took a hold of Gemstone’s hoof.

Gemstone nodded as she took hold of Flurry’s back.

Flurry lifted her wings and she started flapping, before anypony had a chance to notice she soared straight through the window.





Sunburst woke up with a jolt. He looked around trying to figure out where he was and only saw fabric and felt wheels turning below him. He looked down to see he was strapped into a seat. "I'm in a stroller, but how did I get here?” He thought, blinking a few times as he gazed at the sky overhead and looked, around looking at ponies walking around him, and buildings on the side of the street. All of a sudden he stopped in front of a giant building, the front doors had big painted suns covering it, and a sign overhead read, “Crystal Playplace.”

Sunburst was escorted in by a stallion, who went to the front desk, and was soon talking to a bright and happy purple coated crystal pony with blue eyes and a long pink tail and a flowing pink mane. The mare smiled. “Hello, and welcome to my daycare. Are you here to have me take care of your little one?"

“Of course, I just came to drop of my son.”  The stallion replied with a nervous tone. Sunburst looked around trying to figure out who the stallion was, but for whatever reason he couldn’t see him.

The mare bent down towards Sunburst with her sweet blue eyes. She smiled and cooed, “Why hello there, what’s your name?” For some reason Sunburst tried answering her, but only babble and spit came out of his mouth. She giggled and ruffled his mane as she replied, “What an intelligent little foal,” She then picked him up and held him close, checking his diaper as she replied,”All dry, that’s good.”

Sunburst wasn’t concerned about his diaper as he tried to turn his head to see the stallion. However, all he heard was the clang of a bag of bits being thrown hastily onto a table as the stallion replied, “I should pick him up in a hour or two. And his name’s Sunshine.”

The stallion rode off as the mare looked back with a startled look, “Well it looks like you dad was in a hurry,” She then turned back and nuzzled his belly making him laugh out loud while she whispered,  “But that's okay, we’re going to have so much fun here!”

Sunburst was then taken into the middle of a giant blue room, with clouds and rainbows painted all over the walls. There was changing tables placed in the back, and cribs on the right side of the room. The ground itself was covered in plastic toys and other babies and toddlers running around. The mare dropped him down on the padded floor as he looked up at her with drool coming down his chin. She couldn't help but daww, “Oh, you look just like that wizard Sunburst, and so did you dad. I wonder if you two are related. Sunburst never mentioned he had any younger relatives though,” She didn’t dwell on the matter for long though, instant opting to wipe his mouth and hug him as she replied, “Well, no matter. Just have fun, okay?”

Sunburst looked around the room, the other foals gave him surprised faces. He blushed and put his front hooves on top of his diaper, scrunching it and creating loud crinkling noises. 

Soon two crystal pony colts approached him. One was a dark blue colt with a small lock of silver for a mane and tail and silver eyes. The other was a white colt with a brown mane and tail that looked like they’d never been styled, and a blue pair of eyes. As these two came up to him, he began to shake all over as he felt a stream of something hot and wet soak his diaper. The foal with the blue coat was the first to speak, “Hey, dun be newvous. We jus wan ta say hi.”

Sunburst gulped and mumbled, “Hi.”

The two colts giggled as the blue colt asked, “Wha ya name?”

Sunburst whimpered, “I Sunnybuwst.”

The two colts gasped as the white coated one asked, “Wa,i ya Sunnybuwst, the weat wizawd?”

The two foals laughed out loud again, which caused Sunburst to shout, “Why ya waughing?”

The white coated colt started to look around as he replied, “Thewe’s no way ya Sunnybuwst. He’s a bi pony.” 

“I was a bi pony but got tuwned into a fowl.” Sunburst cried out loud, hoping they’d believe him.

“Weally ya did?” The dark blue ccoated olt asked in astonishment as he wiped his face with his arm.

The white coated colt picked up a teething ring as he asked, “But didn’t ya daddy bwoing ya hewe?”

“I don know, Twilie teleported me and I woke in a stwolla. I don know how I got hewe.”Sunburst whimpered and began scrunching his soggy diaper.

The white coated colt placed the teething ring in his mouth as he asked, “Ya mean, ya was foalnapped?!”

Sunburst quickly took his hooves off his diaper and whimpered, “I dun know.”

The dark blue coated colt started picking his nose as he mumbled, “Well, wha ya going ta do? Ya can’t staw hewe, if ya do that mystious pony will take ya away."

Sunburst felt boggers coming down his nose and he reluctantly wiped his face with a hoof, “I nee to get back to the Cwystal Pawace.”

The white coated colt (who still chewing on a rubber ring) mumbled, “Ya can cwimb thwough the window in the back.” He pointed to a giant window.

Sunburst started to bounce on his soggy diaper as he babbled. “I guess, bu it wooks too high."

The dark blue coated colt got up on his hind legs and shouted, “We can hewp ya get ya up thewe!”

The white coated colt dropped his teething ring and turned to a pile of giant foam blocks, “Yeah, I thin I hawe an idea.”

”Wha’s ya idea?” Sunburst asked, as he bounced more excitedly in his now noticeably yellow tinted diaper.

The white coated colt turned to Sunburst and told him, “We can use the giant foam bwocks and stack them ontop of each otha, and ya can cwimb them.”

Sunburst turned to the blocks and clapped his hooves, before he saw that his hooves were covered in snot and drool. He began wiping them on the floor as he asked, “So how do we move them? They so big.”

“Well we gots ta wowk togetha, and we betta huwy, my mommy is pwobably comin soon!” The white coatted colt replied as he started sucking his right hoof again. The three colts then began crawling across the room and with their combined strength began pushing one of the blocks towards the window. 





Flurry Heart and Gemstone were now crawling through the streets of the Crystal Empire, but they’d hadn’t gone far when they heard Twilight shout, “Flurry Heart, come back here!”

Flurry quickly turned and flew behind a building, she looked over to see that Twilight and the other mares were now frantically combing the streets, looking for the foals. 

Gemstone looked down the street and whispered to Flurry, “My mommy is wookin fow me, we shouwd go back.”

Flurry Heart replied, “You can go if ya want to, bu I got ta find Sunnybuwst.” She crawled away as Gemstone reluctantly followed.

The two foals continued down the road, and soon they came spotted a mare and a stallion dressed in black cloaks. The cloaks made it impossible to tell what the ponies looked like or what species they were. The foals reluctantly hid behind a wall, Gemstone was going to say something but Flurry placed a pacifier in her mouth (she also placed a giant pink pacifier in her mouth). As they suckled they watched as mare asked the stallion, “So, you found Sunburst?”

“Yeah but he’s a foal. He wasn't supposed to be a foal. Something must’ve interfered with it. Something of strong magical origin.” The stallion whispered frantically.

The mare shouted, “I know that, you're the one who made the powder! Don’t you think you’ve embarrassed me enough for one day?!”

“Well, I wasn’t the one who dropped it,” The stallion snapped back. “And keep your voice down, do you want us to be caught?”

The mare reluctantly sighed and looked left and right to make sure they hadn’t been overheard. “Alright, well maybe we can still make this work.”

“How?” The stallion asked. 

The mare quickly replied by saying, “We have the cure. We can change him back and everything will work out like it was supposed to.”

“Yes, but we only have one, if we turn him back now we won’t have a chance to ask him.” The stallion replied with concern in his voice.

The mare replied rather hesitantly, “Maybe this is better than just turning him into a colt.”

The stallion seemed to shake his head as he whispered, “We can discuss this later. As for right now though, what should we do?"

“Well, where is he?”  The mare asked with concern.

“He’s at the daycare center called  Crystal Playplace.” 

Suddenly Gemstone’s eyes lit up, and she took the pacifier from her mouth as she babbled to Flurry Heart, “I go thewe all the time.”

The mare didn’t pick up what Gemstone had said, so she whispered to the stallion, “I need to get back before they notice I'm gone. You get Sunburst and meet me back at the house. Got it?”

“Are you sure?” The stallion whispered, sounding noticeably concerned. As if he was having second thoughts about his actions.. 

“I’m sure, now get going!” The mare shouted, and the two ponies went their separate ways.

Flurry turned to Gemstone and asked, “Can ya get us to the Cwstal Pwaypwace?”

Gemstone nodded and they began crawling down another street as she mumbled, “It’s not that faw fwom hewe.” She then looked over and asked Flurry Heart, “Who awe those ponies and wha wewe thewe talkin abou?”

Flurry Heart shrugged, “I don know, bu we betta huwwy and find Sunnybuwst befowe they do.” But just then a shadow fell over the foals, and scooped them into an aura of magic.





Sunburst grunted, as he pushed the final block into place. The other two colts were tuckered out, lying on the ground with their giant pudgy bellies moving up and down. Their diapers were wet and yellow as well (though not as uncomfortable as Sunburst’s, he was starting to get a rash). Sunburst giggled at the sight realizing that they were actual foals. The dark coated blue one whimpered, “I tiwed, awe we done?”

Sunburst looked up, seeing the stairs of foam blocks and said, “Yeah, we done!”

The white coated colt got up and yawned, “Now if ya goin back, ya goin to need some stuff.”

The dark blue coated colt waddled over with a small diaper bag in his mouth, and gave it to Sunburst. 

Sunburst looked inside and found a few extra diapers, a bottle of milk, a pacifier and a rabbit plushie. He smiled, “Most of these things are useless, but they were so thoughtful.”

The dark blue coated colt then replied, “Thas all I can get. I hope thas enough fow ya journey.”

Sunburst smiled as he tied the bag around his back and hugged the dark blue coated colt’s belly, “Than ya. I wouldn't have been able to do this without ya.”

The white coated colt sleepily smacked his lips and mumbled, “Ya welcome.”

Sunburst let go of the blue coated colt and asked, “I neva got ya names. Who awe ya?”

The white colt coated giggled and replied, “I Pumice.”

The dark blue coated colt replied while rubbing his eyes, “I Tuquoiwse.”

Sunburst smiled as he replied, “Well it’s gweat ta see ya both. I wish we could spend mowe time togeth.”

The colts turned to the mare who was gathering the foals for their naps. Pumice told Sunburst, “We goin to cwy to get hew attenion. You get out of hewe."

Turquoise continued, “We tiwed anaywas, ya betta go.”

The two colts went over to the mare and began bawling, just as they’d said! As the mare rushed over to them, Sunburst took his bag and climbed the foam blocks. With his fat, foalish body, it was quite a struggle. He eventually got to the window and saw a bed of flowers outside. He gulped, looking down at them, and he closed his eyes. He was just about to jump when two giant hooves caught him and brought him back into the building.





Meanwhile, the two fillies soon found themselves in a stroller being pushed by the strange stallion from earlier. Flurry tried to get out, but she was deep underneath a foal blanket and strapped in, along with Gemstone who was whimpering and sucking her hoof! ”I scawed, Fwuwwy! What if the stawion is goin ta fowl nap us?!” 

Flurry hugged her friend and whispered, “We gots ta be bwave, besides he may wead us ta Sunnybuwst."

They soon came upon Crystal Playplace, where they entered and the purple mare turned and gasped, “You’re Sunny’s father, right?!” She asked the stallion.

The fillies heard the gruff stallion reply,  “Yeah, I am.”

The mare sighed as she went to a crib and plucked a slumbering orange coated foal from the crib. As he woke he began to wail. She quickly hushed him, took him over to the stallion and told him, “I need to tell you, he tried to climb out the window. But I caught him before he could escape.”

The stallion took Sunburst with his magic, the fillies unfortunately couldn’t see him as he asked, “Was he hurt?”

“No, he’s perfectly fine,” The mare replied sincerely, “But I’m deeply sorry for the fact that he almost slipped away from me. I will even give you back the bits you paid as compensation for my negligence.”

The gruff stallion voice replied, “No, it’s fine. He’s happy and seems okay. Thank you for watching him.”

“It was no problem,” The mare told the stallion. “Besides that, he had a few wet diapers, but otherwise he was a perfect little angel.” She then curiously peered inside the stroller to see the other foals, and Gemstone squealed upon seeing the blue eyes as she shouted, "Nana!"

The mare in charge of the daycare smiled, “Oh, hello Gemstone it’s great to see you too. I guess Sunshine is your new friend, how nice,” She then turned to Flurry Heart and gasped,””Wait, is that Princess Flurry Heart?! What are you doing with her?!”

The foals heard the stallion quickly respond, “I found these two wandering the streets, alone. I think it’s best I leave them here with you until Twilight comes by to get them. She should be here soon.”

If the mare suspected anything was wrong she didn’t seem to show it, she simply told the stallion, “Very well, I’ll make sure that these two are looked after, thank you for bringing them here, foals shouldn’t be wandering the streets unsupervised, it’s not safe,” Peering in again, she saw them with their eyes drifting and gently suckling their hooves as she cooed,  “From the looks of things they look exhausted, probably worn out from wandering around.” 

The mare picked the two fillies up, and Flurry turned her head, finally getting a chance to see the mysterious stallion. He was a bright yellow in coat color with dark purple eyes, and a bright orange mane styled into a perfect buzz cut, with clouds of blue mist for a cutie mark. But then she turned to the orange coated foal, realizing that he was Sunburst! The foals began wailing, as they tried to break away from the big ponies holding them!

The strange stallion took hold of Sunburst, as he hushed him and strapped him into the stroller, while the mare placed the two now screaming fillies into a crib and slipped pacifiers in their mouths.  

Sunburst looked up at the stallion, and eyed him as he realized he looked familiar. But soon a yellow pacifier was placed in his mouth and a purple plush dragon was placed into his tiny hooves. The stallion placed Sunburst back into stroller and whispered, “There we go  Sunshine. You're going to be fine, Daddy is here.” 

Sunburst gasped, as the pacifier fell from his mouth! He realised who this stallion was now! He babbled, “Dada?”

The mare dawwed as she whispered, “Was that his first word?”

The stallion blushed, “Yeah, it was,” He then turned and replied, “Well, I better get going, thank you again for watching him.”

“Come back soon,” The mare cooed at Sunburst. “And no more climbing out of windows, okay?”

For some reason, Sunburst began to forget about Flurry and seemed to want more attention from the big ponies. He decided to hug his plushie and placed his mouth on it eliciting more dawws from the big ponies. “I never thought getting all this attention would feel so good.” He thought, not seeming to find it odd that he wasn’t concerned about Flurry Heart or the stallion claiming to be his father.





As the big ponies were fussing over Sunburst, Flurry Heart struggled to not go to sleep. She looked over at Gemstone who was succumbing to the warm foal blanket and the  pacifier in her mouth. Clearly, she would be no help.

The nanny soon came over to Flurry and smiled, “Oh, don’t worry, I know you’re wet.” The mare picked up Flurry Heart, who was wailing and beating her wings. But the mare was used to fussy foals, as quickly put Flurry’s pacifier back  in her mouth, calming her down after a few angry suckles. 

“Darn these pacifiers, but crying isn’t helping anyways.” Flurry thought, as the  mare began to change the baby alicorn’s wet blue diaper, striping it off, as placed foal cream and foal powder all over her little rump. Flurry Heart giggled seeing how this new mare changed her just as good as her mommy did, and she even kicked and cooed at the caretaker, making the mare daww and pinch the little alicorn's cheeks. After getting a new clean white diaper around Flurry Heart’s rump the mare gently took her and placed her by Gemstone as she cooed,”There, all done little princess.” And set her next to the green coated filly who was already in a deep sleep. 

Flurry Heart sighed, as she closed her eyes and waited until the mare was gone. Then she stood up to see Sunburst in the stroller being pushed away by the mysterious  stallion. She cursed and looked sideways to see that the window was still open, so she lifted her wings. She looked down at Gemstone, still sleeping and whispered, “I sowie, bu I got ta go wescue Sunnybuwst. Than ya fow bein a gweat fwiend.” She then took off, flying through the open window in pursuit of Sunburst!




> Chapter Five: Foalish Revelations

Gemstone woke up as she spread her forelegs and looked around her crib. She gasped upon seeing that Flurry Heart was nowhere to be found! She quickly got up and began crawling around shouting “Fwuwwy Heawt, whew di ya go!?”

A colt suddenly replied, “Gemstowne, is that you?”

Gemstone turned to see Turquoise getting up from his crib and hanging onto the bars as Gemstone quickly went over and asked, “Hey, whew di Fwuwwy Heawt go? Di ya see hew?”

Turquoise shook his head and said, “No, and Fwuwwy Heawt neva comes to the daycawe, why would she be hewe?”

“Is a wong stowie, bu she gone and we gots to find hew!” Gemstone bellowed.

The colt put his hoof in his mouth as he looked around and said, “Well, I didn see Fwuwwy Heawt, bu anotha stwange colt was hewe not too wong ago.”

“Wha colt?” Gemstone asked.

“A owange coated one,” Turquoise replied, then he added “I think he said he was Sunnybuwst ow someting wike that..”

Gemstone gasped and asked Turquoise, “Do ya know whew he went?” 

Turquoise shook his head and replied, “No, bu wha happe to him? I though he jumped thwough the window.”

Gemstone shook her head and cried, “The cawetake must of gotten him and he weft with a stwangea! We betta find hi befowe he goes away foweva!”

Turquoise giggled as he pointed, “Well, maybe ya mommy can hewp.”

Gemstone turned her head to the door and saw her mom and Twilight were now at the front of the nursery. She giggled and shouted but they were too far off to notice her. And the caretaker came up to her and Turquoise whispering, “Stay calm, stay calm.”

“Um, excuse me?” Twilight called, drawing the caretaker’s attention.

The caretaker shrieked and turned with a sheepish smile as she replied,” Princess Twilight, it’s so good to see you. To what do I owe the pleasure?”

Twilight looked at the caretaker and told her, “I’m sorry, but I heard you had Flurry Heart and a foal named Gemstone here. Is that true?”

The caretaker gulped. “Umm, I did, but..”

“But what!?” Sunstone shouted with concern.

The caretaker whimpered, “Princess Flurry Heart flew out the window.”

“She what?!” Twilight exclaimed, her eyes widening!

Sunstone peered over and saw Gemstone bouncing up and down in her crib while shouting gibberish. Sunstone instantly rushed over, picked Gemstone up, and held her close, “Oh, I was so worried about you, Gemstone. What happened to you, how did you end up here?”

The little filly seemed to be trying to tell her mom about something but only foal babble came out. Sunstone gave her a kiss on the cheek as she cooed,” “Aww, normally I would spank your naughty butt for running away like that. But I’m just relieved to see that you're safe.”

Twilight turned back to the caretaker and politely told her, “Thank you for at least keeping Gemstone safe. Do you know where Flurry Heart could have gone?”

The mare scratched her chin as she replied, “Not really, but I think she was friends with an orange coated foal so..”

“Did you say, orange coated foal?!” Twilight and Sunstone shouted together.

The caretaker replied, “Yes. In fact, she and him seemed to cry when they saw each other. If i'm not mistaken a stallion took that orange coated colt not too long ago.”

Gemstone turned her head, pointed to the feathers on the window sill and started babbling frantically.

Twilight turned and smiled upon seeing what Gemstone was trying to tell her, ”What’s this? Feathers? Good job, Gemstone. They could be a clue,” She gave the filly a pat on her diapered rump, making her giggle. Twilight then turned to the caretaker again, ”Thank you for your help. I think we can find Flurry Heart if we follow the trail of feathers. If she comes back though, make sure she doesn’t escape! And keep an eye on Gemstone, make sure she doesn’t escape either!”

Both mares rushed out of the room, as the Caretaker stared at them, bewildered at what was going on.





Flurry Heart followed the stroller, going down the street with the mysterious stallion pushing it. 

Sunburst looked around, desperately searching for a way to get out of the stroller. But he was soon pushed inside a small house with a simple living room and decorated in blue and white crystals. He didn't have much time to take in the new scenery, as he was lifted from the stroller and seated on the lap of his dad, before the stallion cuddled his son in his forehooves.

The stallion took Sunburst and hugged him close, hushing him as he felt his soft fur and whispered, “This is so weird holding you like this again,” Sunburst smiled back with drool pouring out. His dad simply wiped his face and kissed him on the forehead with tenderness. The adult unicorn then took out a photo album with his magic, illuminating it with a golden yellow glow. “Now, how about we look at some photos while we wait for mommy,” He opened it up and flipped through, soon stopping and pointing to a picture as he said, “Look, here’s you on your first birthday.” A young Sunburst was covered in frosting and cake, smearing it all over. Yet in spite of that, he seemed to be rather pleased with himself. 

Sunburst put his hooves in his mouth, completely surprised at how even when he was an actual foal, he was just as messy as he was now. His dad chuckled and turned the page, soon finding one with him and Starlight Glimmer as toddlers playing with blocks. He whispered to Sunburst, “That’s you and Starlight Glimmer on your first play date. You two were so inseparable you might as well have been siblings. Heck, you were even out of diapers within a day of each other.”

Sunburst poked at the picture with a hoof, as memories of him playing with Starlight glimmer flooded him. He smiled and began babbling frantically. His dad chuckled and turned the album's page again, soon finding one with his mother holding Sunburst inside a baby blue blanket, and he whispered, “That’s you when you were born. I’d never seen your mom happier than she was at that moment.”

Sunburst’s eyes fell on the picture as his dad nuzzled his chest. Sunburst felt a familiar warmth and he could even hear his dad’s heartbeat. The older stallion with tears welling up whispered, “I’m so sorry for what we did to you when you got your cutie mark. We should of asked you if you wanted to go to Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, not just shipped you off right then and there. ”

Sunburst blinked at his father as he babbled, “I fowgive ya, bu whas goin on?"

All Sunburst’s dad heard was “Dada” as he nuzzled him, making Sunburst squeal and shove his hooves onto his dad’s nose, making the stallion laugh. Then they heard a door open wide and they turned to see a strange mare in a black robe appear. She threw the cloak aside revealing herself as Sunswirl as Sunburst babled, “Mama?”

Sunswirl smiled at her son and dawwed, she lifted him into her embrace and while nuzzling him she cooed, “Yes, Mommy is here, there’s nothing to worry about.” For some reason Sunburst felt comforted and hugged her close. 

Sunswirl kissed her son on the forehead, then she turned to her her husband  Sunspot, "Twilight and Sunstone could be here any minute now, so we’d better discuss what we're going to do.”

Sunspot, Sunburst’s dad put his son on the ground in as Sunswirl said to him, “Now sweetie you know that Mommy and Daddy love you very much, and I need to tell you that we were the ones who turned you into a foal,” Sunburst gasped as his dad continued, ”This was supposed to be a surprise and we were going to ask to turn you into a colt again and have some fun. That’s all.”

Then Sunswirl added, “When I saw you at the park I thought it was a perfect opportunity so...I blew that powder towards you, hoping you would turn to a colt and let me be your mother for a bit.”

Sunspot turned to his wife with a glare. He then scratched the back of his mane as he replied, “But it seems that the powder turned you into a foal instead, and I only realised that when that mare got to you first. From there I gave you to the daycare nanny, so I could talk to your mom about what happened.”

Sunswirl sighed, “I’m sorry, I shouldn't have done what I did. But you see, we were trying to make up for ruining your foalhood. We shipped you off to Celestia’s school without even discussing it with you. All we could think about was that we would get to boast that our son would be the next Starswirl The Bearded. We never even considered whether your magical abilities would be good enough for Celestia’s high standards.

Sunburst could well remember that, being carried away by the mob of ponies. He remembered being happy at first,  but he soon began to get homesick. Night after night he’d gone to bed missing Starlight Glimmer, and all his other friends, including Party Favor.

Sunburst looked back at his dad who replied, “The original plan was to talk to you and ask if you wanted to be our colt again. But clearly your mom was a bit hasty in using the regressing powder.”

Sunswirl ignored her husband's remark and turned to Sunburst as she asked, “Anyways, we’re going to make it up to you now and have you stay with us as a foal for a bit. Doesn’t that sound like fun?! It’ll be just like old times!”

Sunspot turned to his wife and nervously replied, “Um...honey, we can’t do that. We need to turn him back to normal.”

But Sunswirl snapped, “Princess Twilight will probably have me sent to jail anyways, so I think it’s fair I get to baby my son again before that happens!”

Sunspot replied, “Please, you're overreacting. We should just turn him back to normal and resolve this now. Maybe if we plead our case hard enough, the princess will understand and go easy on us.

As Sunburst’s parents were arguing, Flurry Heart flew in through open door as she shouted,”Sunnybuwst!” She flew into Sunburst knocking him over as they both landed together with giggles, prompting Sunburst to ask, “Fwuwwy Heawt, wha ya doin hewe?”

“I came to wescue ya, siwwy!” Flurry Heart squealed.

The two turned and saw that Sunburst’s parents were too busy arguing to notice anything, so Sunburst asked, “Fwuwwy, how di ya find me?”

Flurry Heart giggled as she told Sunburst, “I just fowwed ya and the stwange stawion fwom the dawcawe.”

Sunburst gave Flurry Heart a smile and told her, “Bewieve it ow not, that weiwd stawion is my dad.”

Flurry gasped, “Weally?! Then why he foalnap you?”

Sunburst shrugged,”I dun know whas goin on wit him or my mommy, I thin they thin tat they wuined my foal hood, and awe twying to make up fow it by tuwning me into a foal fow abit.”

Flurry giggled and asked, “Well, thats a siwwy pwan. Ya thin adwlts make betta pwans then that."

Sunburst looked up at his parents, who were still arguing, and jadn’t noticed that the door was still open up. “Fwuwwy, we gots ta go, now!” He exclaimed.

“Why, awnt they ya pawents?”  Flurry asked.

“Yeah, but ..um they not actin wight, and I thin my mommy wants ta take me away.” Sunburst replied to 

Flurry gasped, “Oh no, I dun wan ya to weave, ya wets get out of hewe!” Sunburst took a hold of Flurry Heart’s hoof and lead her out the door before either Sunswirl or Sunspot had a chance to stop them.





Sunstone and Twilight came bursting into the house a short time later, and  gasped upon seeing Sunswirl and Sunspot arguing! Twilight glared at Sunswirl and shouted, “You knew where Flurry Heart and Sunburst were this whole time?!”

Sunswirl turned slowly, “Flurry Heart? I thought she was at the Crystal Playplace?” She asked, trying to sound as innocent as possible.

Twilight immediately replied, “Oh, don’t you dare act innocent! We followed the trail of feathers here, and we know that Flurry Heart is looking for Sunburst!”

The parents looked around as Sunspot asked, “Um... but where is Sunburst?”

“What do you mean?! Isn’t he with you?!” Twilight demanded.

“He was just a short time ago,” Sunspot commented. “I set him down right here,” Then he gasped! “He must’ve wandered off somewhere!”

The adult ponies all started looking around the small house looking under furniture and shouting Sunburst’s name! They checked every room in the house, the living room, the kitchen, the bedroom, and of course the bathroom! But they couldn’t find Sunburst or even a lock of fur that might indicate where he’d gone!

Suddenly, Gemstone noticed small hoof prints leading outside and started bouncing on Sunstone’s back to get her attention. 

“What’s wrong?” Sunstone asked, before, she saw the hoofprints her daughter had spotted earlier. She turned and gasped, shouting, “Twilight! I think Flurry Heart and Sunburst are out on the streets again!”

Twilight came over and groaned upon seeing the hoof prints. She glared back at Sunburst’s parents who were now trembling! She then sighed, “Look we can talk about why you guys turned Sunburst into a foal and how you should be punished later. But right now Sunburst is out with Flurry Heart in the Crystal Empire all by themselves, and we need to work together to find them before something bad happens to them.”

Sunburst’s parents nodded as Sunspot reluctantly replied, “You’re right, let’s go. They couldn’t have gotten far!”

Twilight sighed as she mumbled,”I hope not.”





Sunburst and Flurry Heart were now in a small patch of grass near the park, trying to find their way back to the palace. Suddenly, Flurry Heart’s tummy grumbled and she asked, “Sunnybuwst, do ya hawe any food?”

Sunburst took out the small diaper bag from earlier and found the bottle of milk. He clumsily gave it to Flurry Heart, who took it and started to chug it down. Sunburst’s tummy grumbled too, prompting Flurry Heart to giggle and hoof the bottle over to Sunburst, who shook his head, “Is fine. Ya need the milkies mowe then me.”

Flurry shook her head, “We both nee to keep owa stwegnth if we wan ta get home.”

Sunburst sighed, took the bottle and suckled it.

When Sunburst had finished the bottle, Flurry Heart asked, “So do you know how to get back to the cwystal pawace?”

Sunburst placed the empty bottle in his diaper bag. He then looked around trying to get his bearings and sighed, “I did, bu as a fowl everwythin is so big it’s hawd to know whew we awe exactwy.”

The two foals suddenly heard a stroller rolling by, they turned to look and a white coated crystal mare smiled down at them. Just then a familiar white coated colt popped up from the seat asking, “Hey, ya two nee a wift?”

                  The white coated crystal pony mare was now looking over the two foals with big velvet eyes as she greeted, “Oh, hello you two. Out for an evening crawl?”

Sunburst and Flurry Heart both giggled as the mare picked them up in her magic and added, “Well I don’t know why or how you two got here, but I’m sure that Princess Twilight is looking for you, Flurry Heart.”

Flurry Heart blushed, as the mare placed her and Sunburst inside the foal buggy with her son. The mare then turned to Sunburst and replied, “Hey, I saw you at the daycare.”

Sunburst placed his hooves over his face, making the mare giggle and nuzzle him, “Now, now, don’t you worry little ones,” She cooed. “I’ll get you two to the palace. I don’t think you're crawling with each other by coincidence.”

Sunburst clapped his hooves and babbled something, making the mare laugh. “Oh yes, don’t you worry. I’ll make sure you two are safe,” She then pulled a foal blanket over the three babies and cooed, “Now you two just relax, my little Pumice would love to have company.”

Sunburst started to feel something hurt in his mouth and tried to suckle his hoof as he began to whimper. The mare gave him an odd look and asked, “Can you say ah?” She then opened her mouth, making loud sounds. Sunburst imitated her and opened his mouth. The mare peered in and cooed, “Oh, looks like some teeth are coming in. No wonder you were getting all fussy.” She then went into her diaper bag and pulled out a teething ring, placing it in Sunburst’s hooves. He gave it an odd look, until she gave one too Pumice who squealed, instantly shoved it in his mouth, and started chewing on it, drool pouring all over the place. Sunburst, seeing Pumice chewing his rubber ring with satisfaction, followed suit. He slowly put the rubber ring in his mouth and began to gnaw on it. 

Pumice’s mom dawwed as she watched them suckle on their teething rings.  Flurry Heart started to cry as the mare sighed, “Oh don’t worry, you want one too, Flurry Heart? I suppose there’s no harm giving you one even if you don’t have any teeth yet,” She then took another one, and gave it to Flurry Heart making her giggle with joy as she chewed on it. “Alright now, you two relax. We’ll be back at the palace in no time.”





As the foals were chewing on their teething rings Sunburst asked, “So Pumwice why do ya suck on the teethin wing?”

Pumice garbled, “My mommy told me my teeth awe gwoin, and we gots hewp gwow them by sucking un owa teethin wings.”

Curious, Sunburst placed a hoof in his mouth and felt little bumps all around his gums. He then took his hoof out in surprise. He turned to Flurry who was looking around her mouth as she replied,”I don feew anythin.”

Pumice turned to Flurry Heart and explained, “Well my mommy only stawted to make me use teethin wings, ya teeth awen’t gwoin yet.”

Flurry shouted, “Na uh! I bet mine will gwow fasta then youws!”

“Not uh! I five months olda the ya!” Pumice shouted back. “In tact, I awmost a yeaw owd now.”

Flurry instantly placed the teething ring in her mouth and started to suckle on it as Pumice placed his teething ring in his mouth and they started to chew on them while glaring at each other.  

Sunburst, still feeling a bit of pain, just suckled on his ring contently and it made him feel so much better. He looked up at the sky hoping he’d soon be back at the palace where Twilight can finally make him normal again. Suddenly he turned his head and gasped upon seeing Starlight Glimmer walking down the road, asking ponies question about where she was. Starlight suddenly turned her head and gasped! Sunburst gulped and looked down to see he was in a foal carrier, with a big blue foal blanket, suckling a teething ring. The audible crinkling of his diaper just made him feel so much worse. He sunk into his foal blanket, completely embarrassed, and threw the blanket over his head, hoping Starlight wouldn’t see him in such a state. “I’ll never live this down if she sees me in diapers.” He thought, instinctively blushing at such a thought.

Starlight Glimmer herself was  looking around groaning, “Oh, I knew I took a wrong turn. And now everypony is giving me different directions! Ugh, I didn’t think any place could be more confusing to navigate than Twilight’s castle.”

Just then, a white coated mare with a foal carriage approached Starlight and asked, “Hello, are you lost?”

“Yes I am,” Starlight nodded. “I know the Crystal palace is somewhere nearby. But I guess I must've walked down the wrong street,” She replied with a blush. “Quite embarrassing considering this isn't the first time I’ve came here. By the way, I’m Starlight Glimmer.”

“Delighted to meet you, Starlight,” The mare replied, shaking Starlight’s hoof. “My name is White Streak, and I was just on my way to the Crystal Palace myself. Why don’t you accompany me?” 

“Okay, I guess it’s better than asking everypony I meet for directions,” Starlight replied and gazed at the stroller as she asked, “Oh, you have foals?”

White Streak laughed, “Only one. The other two... well it’s a long story.”

“You don’t mind if I look at them, do you?” Starlight asked as she stared down at the stroller and saw a white coated colt, and a foal hiding underneath a blanket. The third foal she recognized immediately as Flurry Heart and asked, “Oh my, what is she doing here?”

“Long story short I found her and a orange coated colt crawling down the street like they were all grown up. It was really cute actually.” White Streak explained. 

Starlight laughed, “Wow, but if that other foal is with Flurry Heart I shouldn’t be surprised. I came to the Crystal Empire because I was actually supposed to help care for her. But...I missed my train and got a little lost,” She looked down at  the foal hiding underneath the blanket and lifted the covers,to see the orange coated foal blink his blue eyes at her. He tried covering his diaper with his forehooves, but Starlight giggled, “Oh, you trying to be modest?” She placed the foal blanket over him and he held it close trying to cover his diaper, making her laugh, “Wow, didn’t know foals can be embarrassed about their diapers. He doesn’t look like he’s old enough to be potty trained, he looks like he’s only slightly older than Flurry Heart and I know she’s only a few months old.”

White Streak replied, “He’s just a shy little colt. I’m sure he’s scared from being out all by himself. Poor little thing.”

Starlight looked back at the colt as he pulled the covers over his face again, making her laugh again, “I guess he is.” 

White Streak nodded and replied, “Well, let’s get going and get him back home. His mommy and daddy are probably very worried about him. I know I’d be worried half to death if my little Pumice was crawling around all by himself.”





While the adults were talking to each other, Flurry Heart looked over at Sunburst and asked, “Why ya scawed of Stawwight? She seems nice.”

Sunburst turned and mumbled, “She my bestest fwiend, I don wan hew to know I Sunnybuwst, it’ll be vewy embawisin.”

Flurry Heart laughed, “Good wuck with hew not findin out. She wecognized me easiwy, she’w pwobaby figure who you awe befowe wong.”

Pumice laughed too and replied, “Yeah, I don see the pwoblem. I thin that shew wove ya bein a fowl.”

“No, I don wan hew to know I got tuwned to a fowl!” Sunburst shouted then took his teething ring and began suckling it.

Pumice replied, “Well, sompony woke up on the wong side of the cwib dis mowning.”

Flurry Heart rolled her eyes as her stomach grumbled and she whined. “Oh I stiw hungwy, I onwy had hawf a baba.”

“Don wowwie, my mommy keeps wike a biwwion, twiwwion babas undeath my stwoalla.” Pumice replied, and began to cry along with Flurry Heart. Sunburst shook his head until White Streak cooed, “Oh, they must be hungry.”

”You can tell just by them crying?” Starlight asked. “I mean, what if they need a change or just need a nap.”

“It's just a mother’s instinct. When you have foals of your own you start learning how to pick up on when they need something.” White Streak explained, as she went underneath the stroller, took two full bottles of milk and placed them into Pumice’s and Flurry Heart’s mouths. 

”Wow, that was fast.” Starlight exclaimed, surprised at how quickly the foals emptied their bottles.

White Streak then tucked the foal blanket around Pumice, Flurry Heart, and Sunburst, as she sniffed, “Oh, looks like one foal messed themselves.”

Flurry Heart and Pumice looked down at their diapers and saw that they were clean and turned their heads to Sunburst. He then threw the foal blanket back over his head. White Streak giggled and whispered, “Looks like our mysterious colt is the stinky culprit.” She turned to Starlight and asked, “Darling, can you be a dear and change our guest? I don’t want to keep these two out of my sight.”

“Of course I wouldn't mind.” Starlight replied, she was used to the smell of dirty diapers from the many times she’d seen Pinkie or Mr. and Mrs. Cake tending to the twins. Not that it made the stench any more tolerable.

Sunburst groaned and could only scream in his mind, “No, this isn’t happening! I just messed myself in front of my childhood friend! I haven’t done that since I was two and a half years old!” He was then lifted from the stroller, and he tried (in vain) to cover his now messy diaper with his hooves.

Meanwhile, Starlight nervously said to White Streak, “Um, I’ve never changed a diaper in my life. Not even one.” She was starting to regret not offering to learn from Pinkie and The Cakes.

White Streak kindly replied, “It’s easy. Here, I’ll get you a diaper bag.” And when she grabbed said bag, she placed some foal supplies inside it.

Starlight cradled the messy Sunburst and eyed the white pommel on his nose prompting her to whisper, “Wow you look really close to Sunburst, are you like a relative of his or something?” Sunburst just put his hooves over his face and babbled incoherently, making Starlight daww and snuggle him, “Oh well, if you are Sunburst’s cousin or something, he has some explaining to do for keeping you from me.”

Sunburst groaned as White Streak came over with the diaper bag in tow, “Here, I packed all the necessary changing supplies into the diaper bag, now we just need a good place to change him before he gets a rash.” The two mares went to a nearby park bench and placed Sunburst on it.

Starlight began un-taping Sunburst’s diaper. He began whimpering and kicking his legs as Starlight whispered, “Oh, he’s getting fussy,” She bopped him on the nose making him suddenly giggle for no reason. Sensing that he liked that, Starlight bopped him again making him squeal with laughter. Starlight then carefully removed the front of his diaper, barely able to keep her composure as she dropped it into the trash, “How Sunburst and Pinkie can do this so many times without trouble I’ll never understand, “She said to herself, and began wiping Sunburst’s rump. Sunburst cooed as he looked up at Starlight, now powdering his rump with foal powder. But upon seeing that she was going to put another diaper on him, he squealed in horror, rolled off the bench, and started crawling away! That prompted Starlight to shout, “Hey, get back here! I’m not done changing you yet!”

Sunburst didn’t care, messing himself and Starlight changing him was bad enough, but he wasn’t about to let the first friend he’d ever had put a diaper on him. He crawled under a park bench, with foal powder flowing behind him. He then turned and watched Starlight who was looking around and frantically shouting “Hey umm...foal, where did you go?! Come out, please! I’m sure somepony’s looking for you!”



Sunburst giggled putting his hooves to his face as he thought, “This is kind of fun actually, it’s like playing hide and go seek,” He then heard a voice asking, “Have you seen an  orange coated unicorn foal? He’s only a few months old and I’ve lost him.” The voice didn’t sound like Starlight, to Sunburst’s surprise it sounded like his parents. Peering out ever so slightly from his hiding spot  he could see his parents asking a mare with a foal carriage about him. He  suddenly got nervous, turning back to Starlight as he sighed, Well if I want to become an adult again I will need my friend's help. She may find out who I am, but it’s better than my parents getting a hold of me. I can’t believe they’d turn me into a foal without asking!”  So he reluctantly crawled up to Starlight, and started patting her back legs, babbling and pointing to his parents. 

Starlight looked down and when she saw Sunburst she shouted, “Oh, there you are, little one! I thought I’d lost you!” She picked him up in her magic as he began to tremble. But she giggled and held him close, “Aw, I can’t stay mad at you. But you almost gave me a heart attack! Didn’t anypony tell you it’s not polite to run off on grown-ups like that?” Starlight lectured. 

But Sunburst was more concerned with his parents. He began fussing and babbling, pointing to them with a hoof.

Starlight then turned to see the light orange coated stallion and the dark orange coated mare walking down the road. “Wait, are those your parents?” She asked Sunburst. Sunburst began to whimper and shake his head, as Starlight looked back at the couple and gasped, “Wait, they look like Sunburst’s parents! What are they doing here?!” She looked down at Sunburst (who was shaking his head), as she looked back at the couple. Something felt off.

Starlight had little time to be concerned this though, as she took Sunburst back to the bench and quickly strapped a new diaper around his rump. She then asked, “Are they after you? Do you not want to be found, is that it?” Sunburst nodded his head as Starlight reluctantly sighed. Most foals would be happy to be reunited with their parents, so for a foal to want to avoid them was most odd. But she didn’t have much time to dwell on it. “Alright, I’ll hide you back in the stroller, but you don’t make a peep, got it?” She asked him. Sunburst nodded his head, as she took him and slipped him back under the foal blanket.

“What’s the problem, you look worried.” White Streak asked, as she observed Starlight hiding Sunburst under the foal blanket.

“You see that couple over there?” Starlight asked, pointing to the nearby unicorn stallion and mare. 

“My goodness, are they this colt’s parents?” White Streak asked in reply. “They look so alike.”

“I know, but that’s not the problem,” Starlight explained. “The poor colt got scared when he saw them. So assuming they are his parents, I don’t think we should hoof him over to them just yet. Not until we know why he would run away from them.” Starlight added, as she finished putting the teething ring back in Sunburst’s mouth.

White Streak turned to the cowering foal and replied, “I guess we can hide him for now, but if they’re his parents then we can’t keep them from him for long. It’s not right.”

”But they’re probably not,” Starlight said seriously. “I know those two, they’re a friend of my parents. And I don’t think they had more foals, Sunburst would’ve mentioned if they did.”

White Streak turned and murmured, “They do seem worried. I’m going to go over and talk to them. Then I’ll make the decision about whether or not to turn the foal over to them, alright?”

Starlight nodded, as Sunburst turned to Flurry Heart and whispered, “I sowie bu I gots ta go.”

“Bu why? We whewe goin to the pawace.” Pumice whined.

Flurry Heart sighed, “I sowie Pumice, bu Sunbuwst’s pawents awe the ones who tuwned to him into a fowl and want to take him away.”

Pumice’s eyes went wide, “They di wha?!”

Sunburst started packing his teething ring, a diaper, and Flurry’s foal bottle as he babled, “Alwight, we gots ta go. Now come on, Fwuwwy!” 

Starlight turned her head and saw that while White Streak was talking to the couple, Sunburst and Flurry Heart crawled down from the stroller and started to crawl away as fast as possible. “No! Where are they going?! Starlight shouted and was just about to chase after them, when White Streak came up to her.  

”Starlight, you're not going to believe this! That coated orange foal... is Sunburst!” White Streak told Starlight. “Where is he?”

Starlight’s mouth dropped opne in shock as she then replied, “Um...he...just ran off with Flurry Heart. I was about to chase after them” In her mind she thought, “That foal is Sunburst, huh? That actually explains a lot. But why doesn't Sunburst want to go back to his parents? What did they ever do to him?”





Sunburst was now crawling away, and he and Flurry Heart were now back at the park where he had been turned into a foal. He shouted. “Wook, Fwwwy Heawt, the pawace is not faw fwom hewe! I thin we can get thewe by owaseves.”

Flurry Heart turned and said to Sunburst, “Yea, bu that stwoollla was vewy nice, cwaling on the stweet huwst my hooves.”

Sunburst turned to Flurry and mumbled, “I sowie, bu White Stweak would’ve gave us to my cwazy pawents.”

“Is okay I’m jus happy tha we awe togetha!” Flurry replied, as she hugged Sunburst and they resumed crawling down the road.

Suddenly, they heard, “Oh, there he is with Flurry Heart!” Sunburst and Flurry Heart turned to see Sunburst’s parents running towards them! 

Sunburst shouted to Flurry, “We gots to cwawl fasta! We can’t wet them catch us!” And the two foals tried crawling faster, but the parents were nearly on top of them. 

Suddenly they were picked up and placed on Starlight’s back as she shouted, “Don’t worry you two, I’ll get you to the palace!”

Starlight Glimmer was running down the streets towards the Crystal Palace at full speed, holding the foals close to her mane. She turned her head back to see Sunburst’s parents right on her tail, and she groaned, “It’s no use, they’re catching up.” She quickly turned down a corner and hid behind a building, watching the two run past. She then scooped the foals into the embrace of her hooves and breathed heavily, “It’s okay you two, everything is going to be alright. I think,” She then looked down at Sunburst who blinked his adorable baby blue eyes at her. She couldn't hold it back any longer as she nuzzled him and squealed, "I can't believe that you turned into a foal! And you pooped your diaper too! Oh! You're just so cute!” 

Sunburst groaned and babbled something incoherently as he squirmed in her embrace, making loud crinkling noises with his diaper. This only made her hug him tighter. Now both embarrassed and comforted by his childhood friend. He nuzzled her fur and let her kiss him .  

Starlight laughed. “Oh, don't you worry. I'm going take good care of you until we reach the palace," Sunburst looked up with pleading eyes as did Flurry Heart as she continued, "But first I think we'll need a disguise so that ponies won't recognise us." Sunburst could do nothing as he was placed on Starlight's back, as they headed to a store with sign overhead that read "Surplus Foal Supplies" 

Sunburst just crossed his stubby forehooves and groaned, "I hope she doesn ge anythin too embewassin." 

Flurry Heart laughed out loud and then babbled, "Don ya wowwie, it can’t as bad as meesin ya diapee." 

Sunburst moaned "Don wemind me." Only eliciting giggles from the young princess as they headed into the shop. 





Twilight and Sunstone were both now looking around the streets of the Crystal Empire when Sunstone asked, “Twilight, where did Sunburst’s parents go?”

Twilight suddenly looked up, saw that the two were nowhere in sight and said furiously. “They better not be trying to escape!”

“I don’t think they would, besides they wouldn't want Sunburst about on the streets by himself.” Sunstone replied though Twilight wasn’t so sure. 

Twilight ran down the street and saw Sunburst’s parents, who were looking around while gasping for breath. Twilight and Sunstone quickly (and reluctantly in Twilight’s case) went up to the couple and asked, “Hey, did you guys find the foals?”

Sunspot turned with a gulp, “We did, but some mare took them and ran off with them.”

Sunswirl cried, “We have to find them, we can't hoof our poor little Sunburst over to a complete stranger.” Then she asked. “Why would anypony steal poor foals?”

Twilight eyed the couple and said to them, “I don’t know, but if you lost them here I’m sure if we wait we’ll see her again.”

The other ponies nodded and Twilight looked around the place when she saw a mysterious mare with a purple cowl covering her face, pushing a rather large foal buggy. Twilight put on a smile and being polite as possible came up to her and said, “Excuse me, ma’am.”

The mare coughed and turned, but the cowl was still covering her face. She seemed to turn and look at Sunburst’s parents. She then went back to Twilight, and replied. “Um...hello...I didn’t expect you to..be...here?”

“We’re looking for some lost foals,” Twilight explained. “Did you see any around here?”

The mysterious mare shook her head, “No I didn’t. I have a little filly and colt myself and would love to show you them. Unfortunately I’m quite sick and I need to get home.” To emphasize her point she coughed once again.

“Oh dear, then you go right ahead, i’m sorry to bother you,” Twilight replied. “But could I at least see your foals really quick, just to be sure they’re not the ones we’re looking for?”

The mare slowly nodded her head and moved aside. Twilight then peered into the foal carriage and saw two foals. One was a orange coated filly who wore a ridiculous pink foal bonnet and a pink onesie, her hair was braided down the sides, with the excess fabric of her diaper sticking out of her back leg holes. The colt wore a giant, blue foal blanket wrapped around him, suckling a giant blue pacifier, his hair  dressed in a single lock of rainbow mane, tied with a little blue bow. 

Twilight eyed the foals, as they did look oddly similar, but they were the opposite genders of Sunburst and Flurry Heart. She then got up and said to the mare, “Um...those are some interesting clothes you picked for your foals.”

The mare blushed, “Yes, well I’m old fashioned.” She told Twilight.

“Well, I’m sorry to disturb you and your little ones.” Twilight apologized.

“It’s okay,” The mare coughed again, “It’s not everyday you get to see a such a beautiful princess.”

Now it was Twilight’s turn to blush, “Oh, it’s nothing. Now go on, and be careful.” She replied, and watched as the mysterious mare trotted up the path and disappeared.





The mysterious mare continued to push her foal buggy down the street. Starlight then looked around to make sure nopony was watching her, and looked down at her charges with a small smile, “Hey you two, doing alright?” She asked

Flurry Heart had her hooves in her mouth trying to stifle her giggles, Sunburst could only curl up and mumble, “I can’t bewiev Twile saw me in wittle filly cwothes.”

Starlight smirked reading Sunburst’s body language, “Oh, don’t you worry, Sunburst. I just had to make sure we could get to the place without your crazy parents knowing you're here.”

Sunburst just threw the foal blanket over his head making Flurry laugh out loud once more as she teased. “Sunnybuwst, ya a wittle fiwwy now.”

Sunburst stuck his tongue out, “Oh yeah, well ya wooks wike a wittle cowt!” He taunted.

Flurry Heart shook her head, “Nah uh, ya wook mowe wedicuwows than me!”

They soon started bickering. Starlight then placed two giant pink pacifiers in their mouths as she whispered “Keep it down, we’re not at the palace yet.”

The two glared at each other and suckled their pacifers angrily. But they kept silent as Starlight sighed in relief. She pulled the hood of the buggy over the foals and continued on towards the palace, “I’ll explain to Twilight why I couldn't reveal them to her when this is over,” She thought to herself. "As much as I trust her, Sunburst seems scared about his parents. I can’t let them have him until i know what’s going on here.”     





Sunswirl eyed the mare with the foal carriage as Twilight came back, “She seems fine to me and unsuspicious. I don’t think she took the foals.” Twilight told Sunswirl

“You sure? It’s weird that she kept her face hidden the whole time.” Sunswirl questioned Twilight.

“It was odd, but she said she’s sick,” Twilight explained. “And the foals were a colt and filly, but they looked like the opposite genders of the ones we’re looking for. The foalnapper wouldn’t try something as simple as that to disguise them.”

Sunspot quickly replied, “Well the foalnapper is probably long gone by now. Maybe we should close down the Crystal Empire and have the guards search everywhere until we find them? I’m not about to let some random stranger get away with my baby!” 

Twilight sighed and shuddered hoping she could keep this quiet, but seeing how Flurry Heart and Sunburst’s live might be on the line she couldn’t risk it. “Alright, let’s go to the palace and raise the alarm. I’ll have guards search the entire city until the foals are found.” She reluctantly agreed. The three ponies then raced back to the Crystal Palace.





Starlight smiled as they came upon the Crystal Palace. “Almost there!” She cooed, before she suddenly heard, “Hey isn’t that the mare from before?!” She turned her head to see Sunswirl running at her, shouting, “You were the one who took my baby!”

Scared out of her mind Starlight ran, pushing the foal carriage while trying to reach the palace! Twilight was still looking around the street, but when she heard the sounds of hooves running on the street and saw Starlight, she had to act! “Starlight, wait!” She called as her student ran right past her with Sunburst’s mom on her tail. Twilight sighed. She saw two guards approaching and reluctantly she shouted, “Hey you two, stop that mare! Don’t let her get away!”

The guards came up to block Starlight, and Sunswirl shouted, “Arrest this foalnapper at once!” She threw a vial of powder, which Starlight ducked. It hit the guards, instantly turning them into colts stumbling around in pieces of their armor. Starlight picked them up, placed them into the stroller, and continued towards the palace, but was suddenly stopped by Twilight who flew in front of her! She crashed right into Starlight knocking them both to the ground! The squealing foals and the confused colts were all caught in Twilight’s magical embrace and were gently placed on the ground. 

Starlight got up along with Sunswirl, as Sunspot rode up gasping, “What happened?!” 

Twilight turned and asked “Yeah, what did happen, Starlight? Why were you foalnapping the foals?

“Foal napping?! Sunburst was freaking out over going back to his mom! So I was trying to get to the palace, so I can figure out how he turned into a foal in the first place!” She exclaimed. “When I saw you with her I was sure you’d take him back and give them to him!”

Sunswirl shouted, “Oh really?! How do we know you weren’t the one who foalnapped him back at my house?! ”

Starlight shouted back in protest, “I just got here! I don't even know where you live! How could I have possibly kidnapped Sunburst when I had no idea he was even a foal until just a short time ago?!”

”So, Starlight, you were just trying to keep the foals safe?” Twilight asked.

“Yes, of course, Twilight,” Starlight nodded her head in response. “Why would I hurt Sunburst? He’s my best friend.”

Flurry Heart nudged Sunburst as he stood up, and looked up at Twilight who giggled, and after cooing asked “So why is he dressed like a filly?”

Starlight blushed as she explained, “I disguised him so you wouldn’t recognize him. It was the best thing I could think of on such short notice.”

Twilight nodded, “I understand, this was a strange situation for us all. I’m sorry you got caught up in all this, Starlight,” She then turned to Sunburst’s parents who bowed their heads in shame as she said, “And you two did turn Sunburst into a foal without his consent. That is wrong and I’m afraid I can’t just ignore that, regardless of intentions.”

Sunstone then came onto the scene asking, “Is everypony alright?!” 

When Gemstone saw her little alicorn friend ,she instantly shouted, “Fwuwwy Heawt!”, jumped down from her mom, and ran up to her friend, giving her a big hug.

“Gewmstone!” Flurry shouted back, while hugging her friend.

Twilight smiled at the scene, then went to the three foals and placed them on her back with her magic. Then two small purple coated colts came up to her, and one asked, “Um Princess Twilight...can you turn us back to stallions, please?”

Twilight put a hoof to her mouth to stifle her giggles as she told them “Well, maybe I can’t. But I know someponies who can,” She then glared back at Sunswirl and Sunspot and asked, ”Now, can you two please turn Sunburst and these guards back to normal?”

The guards both shouted, “Please hurry! If another guard sees us, we'll never hear the end of it!” 

Sunspot, chuckled, took out a vial and sprinkled some on the guards ,instantly turning them back into stallions, who quickly ran off in embarrassment.

Sunspot turned to Sunburst as Flurry Heart shouted, ”No, ya can’t tuwn bak yet! We didn even gets to pway awot togetha!” She hugged him close. 

Sunspot stopped, as Sunburst turned to Flurry Heart and babbled, “Fwuwwy, I gots ta tuwn back ta nowmal. I can’t staw a fowl foweva.”

Flurry Heart whispered, “Bu ya pawents and eveypony hewe wikes ya betta as a fowl, and ya gets to pway with me all day, and be my pwaymate. Pwease don tuwn back into a stawion!”

Sunburst sighed and looked up at Twilight with pleading eyes. Twilight seemed to get what he was trying to say, as she went up to Sunburst and cooed, “Okay, Sunburst, I guess it seems that we do all owe you an apology, and our own worries caused us to ruin your little vacation. I’ll let you be a foal for a bit longer,.” She turned to Flurry Heart, “But you to have promise to behave. That means no more running away, from either of you!”

The foals both nodded and shouted “We pwomice!” Even though nopony could understand them. The two start giggling, bouncing on their diapers in excitement. Gemstone squealed and hugged Sunburst who hugged her back as she babbled, “Ya did it Sunnybuwst, ya a fowl.”

“Weally, di I pass all ya tests?” Sunburst asked.

Flurry Heart pondered for a second, before she nodded. “Ya did a wetties, and poopies in ya diapees, ya dwink babas, woved  it when the adwlts giv ya attenion, suckled on teething wings, ya hooves, and pacis. I think that’s evewythin!”

Sunburst stood proud in his pink onsie, only make the fillies giggle. And Starlight, upon seeing him trying to stand in his onesie, couldn’t resist picking up Sunburst again and giving him a giant kiss, making everypony laugh out loud. All he could do was just smile and spit up some bubbles from his mouth, eliciting dawws from the crowd. Then as he and the other foals were placed back into the foal buggy and had a blanket draped over them he thought,“You know what, I think i’m actually going to enjoy being a foal again, just for a little while.”



Back in Flurry Heart’s nursery, Flurry Heart and Sunburst were now waving goodbye to Gemstone as she hugged the two with her tiny hooves while bawling, “I gonna miss ya two!”

Flurry Heart nuzzled her and babbled, “Is okay Gemstown, we gets to pway again weal soon. bu ya gots to go home.”

Gemstone nodded and turned to Sunburst who was chewing on his hoof. He took it out and extended it towards Gemstone, who put her own hoof into her mouth and slapped it onto Sunburst’s hoof. They both giggled in glee as they got slobber all over the place. 

Sunstone then picked up Gemstone and cooed, “Alright dear, time to go. Daddy is wondering where we are by now.”

As Gemstone waved by to her friends. Sunstone came up to Starlight and told her, “You did well keeping those two safe. You're going to be a great mother one day.”

“What?! Oh no, I wouldn’t say that.” Starlight replied with her face turning bright red. 

Sunstone just whispered to Starlight, “Trust me, I know a good mother when I see one.” She then slowly trotted out of the room while Gemstone held onto her mom’s back, now snuggling into her mane.

Twilight was walking down towards the throne room, when she saw Sunstone trotting towards the exit. She quickly ran up to her and shouted, “Hey, Sunstone, wait up!”

Sunstone turned as Twilight came up to her and Gemstone and replied,”I just wanted to thank you for all your help today.”

“It was no trouble really, i’m just glad all the foals are safe and sound.” Sunstone replied.

Twilight smiled at Gemstone, who gurgled and was clapping her tiny hooves while babbling. Twilight cooed, “And thank you, little Gemstone. If it weren’t for you we would’ve lost Flurry Heart.” 

Gemstone blushed and just placed her hooves on her diaper. Twilight smiled at the two and said, “Now you two take care,” She turned to see Sunburst’s parents entering the throne room as she muttered,”I’ve got these two to deal with.”

”Be easy on them, Twilight. I don’t think they meant to harm anypony.” Sunstone suggested.

Twilight replied, “No ,but they aren't skating by either.” 

“I’m sure you’ll make the right judgement, take care, Princess Twilight.” Sunstone called, then walked out of the throne room, past Sunburst’s parents who were now trembling.

Sunswirl and Sunspot didn’t stop shaking, even as they stood in front of Twilight. She was now glaring at the two as she instructed, “First, give me any age regressing powder you have left, and the cure.”

Sunspot gave Twilight a vaill and told her, “That's the rest of the reversal agent.”

Sunswirl blushed, “I used the rest of the regression powder on the guards earlier. There isn't any left.”

Twilight stowed the cure away then said seriously, “Good, now I better not catch you with this stuff ever again,” She then continued with a tone of authority, “Sunswirl and Sunspot, you are both charged with regressing Sunburst to a foal without his consent.”

Sunswirl and Sunspot both shook in fear as the princess continued, “Your punishment is...volunteering at the Crystal playplace every day for a month. And when Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor return, you are to apologize to them for regressing their crystaller. I can imagine they won’t be too happy to hear that.”

Both parents blinked in confusion as Sunswirl replied, “That’s it?”

Twilight nodded, “I understand now after talking with Starlight. You both turned Sunburst into a foal to try to redo what you did to him in the past. And you never intended any harm. Besides I think if you do intend to have more foals later on in life, you should learn from somepony who has a ton of experience. I will give Princess Cadence permission to extend the punishment up to another month if she thinks it is necessary. So you two had best learn your lesson by the time she comes back.”

Sunswirl blushed. “Twilight, I can't thank you enough for everything you’ve done, And for not putting us in jail. But….could we also see our son as a foal for a bit? We’re probably not going to get the chance to see him like that ever again.”

Twilight nodded with a smile, “Of course, I’m sure he would love to be with you two.”

Sunswirl smiled and bowed along with her husband as they both left the throne room.





The three soon came Starlight, with Sunburst on her back, and in what clearly seemed was a fresh diaper with foal powder billowing through the leg holes. Starlight herself was now chuckling, “Wow Sunburst I didn't think you’d mess yourself again so soon. What in Star Swirl’s beard did you eat?”

Sunburst just giggled and turned to his parents with a big smile on his face, shouting, “Mama! Dada!” His mom blushed as Starlight nodded. 

Sunswirl took Sunburst into her embrace, as she hugged him close, “I'm sorry for everything I put you through.” She apologized.

Sunburst nuzzled her fur as he babbled, “I fowgive ya, Mama, I wove ya foweva and eva.”

Sunswirl only heard “Mama”, which made her kiss her son one more time. He beamed a grin at his mom, then hugged her nose. She held him up to her face using her magic and kissed him again. She then placed her foal on Starlight’s back and gave a apologetic smile to Sunburst’s friend, “Sorry for trying to regress you. I thought you were a foalnapper.”

Starlight laughed, “It’s okay, I've done worse. Sunburst clearly loves you, but you can't make all his decisions for him.”

Sunswirl nodded and hugged Starlight as she replied. “Thank you for being such a good friend to our son.”

Starlight blushed, now embarrassed, as Sunburst giggled and clapped his hooves. 

Sunswirl just whispered, “It's...no problem.” She let go and watched as Starlight went back to the playroom, placing Sunburst back on the floor. He then came up to Flurry Heart,  both of them giggling and talking to each other in their foal babble.

“Honey I'm glad that you finally learned to let go.” Sunspot said to his wife.

Sunswirl turned and sighed, “I was such an idiot, now I got you diaper duty for a month.”

Sunspot laughed and said. “Hey it could've been a lot worse. Besides I think we both learned a valuable lesson out of this whole experience.”  They turned back to Starlight who was now sitting in the playroom, as Sunburst was chasing Flurry Heart, and they squealed and laughed. 

Sunswirl nodded, “Our son is going to be fine on his own.”

Sunspot nuzzled her as he whispered, “I wonder what he’s talking about?”

Sunswirl smiled up at her husband ,“Who knows? We should ask him when he gets older and he’s out of diapers.”





Sunburst could only meep, as Flurry Heart finally tackled him to the floor and they began to chase each other around the room. Sunburst eventually turned to Starlight who was now keeping an eye on them. Sunburst blushed, scrunching his diaper as Flurry asked “Ya sitw embewased abou ya diapee?”

Sunburst sighed and said, “No, I jus um… not suwe how I shouwd feew. She my best fwiend, bu is weiwd she’s cawing fow me as a fowl.”

Flurry Heart pushed him and babbled “Wets go pway with hew then. Do ya want to pway wtih hew while ya stiw a fowl?”

Flurry Heart and Sunburst tackled Starlight, making her laugh as she fell with them. Before she could get back up they then started crawling away.

“Oh, are we playing hide and go seek?” Starlight asked. She started looking around the nursery for the foals. She looked under the crib and turned to see that the cabinet to the diaper changing table was ajar. She walked up with a smile, “Is somepony hiding under there?” She heard a foal’s giggle and opened it to find Sunburst hiding underneath a pile of diapers. She cooed “Oh Sunburst, I found you!”

He squealed, throwing diapers everywhere. He started crawling out of the cabinet with Starlight chasing him. He squealed some more, crawling as fast as he could with his stubby little legs. But he was no match for Starlight, she scooped him up in her magic and held him close, caressing his soft fur and whispering “I got you, little sun butt.”

Sunburst crossed his fore hooves and fell into Starlight’s warm fur as she then placed him on her back as she cooed. “Now let's go find Flurry Heart. She has to be around here somewhere.”

Sunburst looked around, as Starlight spotted something underneath the covers in the crib. She came over asking loudly, “Now where did Little Flurry Heart go?!”

Sunburst heard a peep come from the covers as he started to babble, “She undwneath the covas!”

Starlight lifted them and found a giggling Flurry Heart curled up, scrunching her diaper, which made Starlight laugh, “There’s the little princess!” She bent down and kissed her on the forehead, then she tucked Sunburst into Flurry’s crib as she whispered, “Now dears, time for night nights.”

Sunburst gazed up at Starlight with a pout, as she giggled and nuzzled him. He laughed as he hugged her nose and put his mouth on it. Starlight just hugged him close and gave him a kiss on the forehead. This made Sunburst giggle with glee, while Flurry Heart started getting fussy, kicking her foal blanket.

Starlight then kissed Flurry on the cheek, and draped the foal blanket over her. She nuzzled Flurry and whispered, “There there. You’re cute too, my little princess.”

Flurry Heart turned to Sunburst and asked, “Wasn’t tha fun?!”

Sunburst gave a nod as he buried himself underneath the foal blanket, “Yeah, I had awot of fun. I hope Twilie lets me stay a fowl fow a wong time.”

Flurry Heart hugged Sunburst as she whispered, “I hope ya stay a fowl fow a wong wong wong time.”

Sunburst curled up next to Flurry Heart and whispered, “Me too Fwuwwy.”





Starlight was watching the two foals now curled up together underneath their warm foal blanket sleeping soundly. 

Twilight tiphoofed into the room so as to not wake the foals and asked, “Are they doing okay?”

Starlight turned and nodded, “They're doing wonderful. Those two are so happy together.”

Twilight giggled, “Well, we do still need to turn him back eventually.”

“Yeah, I know. Starlight muttered with a frown. She looked up at Twilight and asked, “How long should we keep him as a foal though? I was hoping we could keep him like this for a bit longer.”

Twilight scratched her chin as she grew a evil grin,”How about we play a little trick on my brother? It serves him right for keeping that big secret from me that he and Cadence were gonna have a baby. I like a good scavenger hunt, but for something as life changing as that I would’ve preferred knowing right away.”
