Chapter 1
It was a dark evening when Twilight Sparkle was getting ready for the meteor shower that Princess Luna made when she broke free from the clutches of Nightmare Moon.
“Come on Spike were going to be late!” yelled Twilight as she packed a wagon full of astronomical instruments and book.
She didn’t want to miss out on this occasion for two reasons, firstly she had not had a chance to study a meteor shower this close, and secondly Princess Luna was going to congratulate the Elements of Harmony on helping here break free from Nightmare Moon.
As she finished packing up her equipment Spike came running down from the stairs carrying a letter.
“Twilight! Twilight!” Spike said,
“I just received a letter from Luna and Celestia, they made a last minute decision to move and come to Ponyville to make the meteor shower, this is great!” exclaimed Spike.
“Oh My Celestia the Princess are coming here, I didn’t have time to prepare them a welcome, I got to get started” said Twilight as she was making a list for a party,
“Got to contact Pinkie for party supplies” said Twilight as she was rambling on about planning a party for the princesses.
“Relax Twi” said Spike “I’m sure that they won’t need a welcome besides you are Princess Celestia’s personal student after all” said Spike.
“You’re right Spike I’m getting too excited over nothing, well we best get going we don’t want to miss the meteor shower and the Princess after all!” said Twilight.
“Coming” said Spike grabbing a jar full of cookies and a blanket and heading out the door with Twilight to go to the hilltop where most of Ponyville was to watch the meteor shower.
At a campsite somewhere in the mountains near the border between Equestria and the Griffin Empire, Daring Do and her archeological team were digging in the ruins of a an old city one that was supposed to be the location of an old unicorn city, dating back to even before Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were born. As she Daring knelt down on the ruins of what was the old temple of the unicorns she noticed something out of the ordinary.
“Hey Feather Brush come over here I found something!” shouted Daring.
Feather Brush was also an archeological pony and worked with Daring on many expeditions and was one of Daring’s most closet friends she had. As Feather Brush was walking up he saw Daring standing over a large painting that she was not supposed to be standing on.
“Hey Daring you’re not supposed to be standing on that part of the ruins, wait till the art experts get here” said Feather.
“Don’t worry” cried Daring, “Besides come take a look at this, that’s why I called you over, here look at this, notice anything?” Daring said.
“Yeah I do a picture” said Feather Brush sarcastically, Daring shot him and annoyed look before turning her attention back to the picture,
“No look over here, come closer”, said Daring, and as Feather Brush came he noticed that there was a strange symbol in the picture he could only describe it as he saw it, it was a pretty simple design but it was nothing like what he studied nor was it any type of ancient Equestrian word or symbol he remembered of, it was a pretty simple design with dark black ink and a white background was a O with a line coming from the middle bottom of it looking like the outline of a magnifying glass.
“What the hay is that?" said Feather Brush squinting his eyes.
"I don't know, maybe it might lead us somewhere!" said Daring.
"I wonder where it goes?” said Feather thinking aloud.
"Come let's report this to the supervisor, will be finding out where it will take us soon enough", said Daring as she trotted off with Feather toward the supervisor tent.
In the middle of deep space surrounded by a fleet of warships ranging from the smallest frigate to the largest dreadnought. However the main spectacle of the fleet were not the dreadnoughts it was the big carrier situated in the middle of the fleet it was four miles long and very and about one mile tall and the really only distinguishing feature on the carrier was a hook shaped bow, and a dark shade of green. In the hallways of the ship two dark and shadowy figures were walking with quick pace as they walked through a door a guard stood outside and saluted them. Inside the room there was another figure in a chair looking at a small pad. The two figures stood at attention at almost a full minute of silence until one of them spoke,
“Sir we have found the coordinates to the enemy fleet and they seem to be waiting for us and we also discovered some strange energy reading on a planet nearby, we sent a probe out and it should be arriving there shortly".
"Good, do they know that we know?" said the figure in the chair,
"No sir" replied one of them,
"Right give me the coordinates and prepare the fleet for battle" said the figure in the chair. As one of the figure standing gave the figure in the chair what looked like a data pad a hand could be seen, the skin was green and like a reptilian's skin and the hand was long with three long and skinny fingers on it. As the two figures in the room left the one figure in the chair thought for a couple of minutes stood up and walked out the door toward an unknown room in the carrier.
Note: This is my first fanfic so any type of criticism about the grammar and the story is appreciated, thanks some other things to mention, the humans will be using Halo equipment that I made some modification on some with the aliens, the aliens figure is from a TV show called Falling Skies, and I wanted to put in as a language these clicking sound to indicate the aliens native language but I decided to make them speak English in this story, just think that they are doing some type of clicking sounds :), Lastly, Halo, Falling Skies, and My Little Pony Friendship is Magic are part of their respective owner.
EDIT: I revised this chapter with better grammar and editing, I hope it’s okay, thanks all to everybody who favorited my story and the next chapter might come out next week but I do have summer school so it might be a while. LOL :)
