Pain was all that I could feel through out my body, like I fell from the sky till I landed here. Or should I say wherever here is. I decided to stop starring at the bright blue sky pondering my existence and instead look at my surroundings. Trees, nothing but trees. I was surrounded by trees, however I was in a small clearing of what I believe to be some kind of forest. I tried my best to remember what caused me to be here in the forest and why not at home if I even had a home to begin with.
Then something caught my attention, the sound of cheerful voices nearby, I was debating to go towards it. Part of me didn't want to go because of the pain consuming my entire body begging me to take a nap, the other reason was that I really didn't feel like doing anything at the moment while I could be enjoying nature's beauty. Then that stupid little part of me that is screaming at me to investigate and to actually give a damn was echoing through my mind.
For all that I know is that I'm lost and the source of the voices could help me out of this forest and possibly take me back home. So pulling myself off the ground took about a few moments to do because of the pain that was across my body, especially on my left side. I walked over to where the voices were coming from for a good five minuets or so I thought I couldn't really tell the time. Is there even a right way to measure time?
When I came across what I thought was the edge of the forest, found a large open area with a single tree on top of a hill. I didn't see anyone nearby except for a few colorful horses, on a picnic cloth under the tree. Wait, since when are horses colorful and how come are they talking like their human? My self questioning was caught short when the lavender one spotted me.
"Um.. girls" said the lavender colored one pointing directly at me with her hoof or at least I think she is pointing because that brought the others attention to me. There were six in total talking horses, two normal looking ones, two winged horses... um Pegasus's, Pegasi? Which ever was plural, also one unicorn, and the lavender one was a mixture of a Unicorn-Pegasus crossbreed.
I am honestly shocked I don't know what to say, I guess I'm either in a dream, I'm hallucinating or this is really happening. I will prefer to go with the first one. "Is that a wild human, and why is he wearing that mask?" asked the white unicorn with concern.
'Wild human, really?' I tried to say but however it didn't escape from my breath. 'Wait am I mute? Besides what mask, I'm not wearing a mask' I thought to myself while moving my hand to my face only to have it touching metal instead. How come I didn't notice this before, and how can I still see with this on. Is it like one of those one way mirror of some sorts?"
The yellow Pegasus hovered over towards me slowly, yet she was showing caution from her expression. "Fluttershy wait you don't know how it could react" yelled the orange one. So the yellow one is named Fluttershy, heh must be a cultural thing.
"Can't you see he is injured?" she said pointing at my cut across my left arm. Funny that I didn't even notice that too, what else haven't I noticed? "Besides, he is not wild. Look at him, he's clearly wearing clothes", Fluttershy explained gesturing to my attire.
I had to ask didn't I? The one known as Fluttershy gently touched my wound causing me to pull it back and wince in pain. This must of scared them, because I heard gasps from all except Fluttershy who just stood there petrified like a statute, like they expected me to lash out or become aggressive for some strange reason. After a few seconds of staring at each other one of them finally spoke up breaking the silence. "Well it seems very docile" exclaimed the white unicorn obtaining a few nods from her friends.
"Come now lets get you to my cottage and fix you up" Fluttershy said to me grabbing ahold of my arm and slightly pulling me into the direction of her cottage. While her friends followed most likely due to my so called uniqueness, that and probably not fully trusting me being docile.
Fluttershy had brought me to her cottage which was of most bizzar place to me, there were so many species of animals all living within her cottage with her. "Now sit" Fluttershy told me softly as she left the room.
I looked around to see the others eyeing my every move, like I was some dangerous beast. I decided that it would be best that I do as they say, at least till I could speak again. So I walked over to the couch and sat down causing a few curious glares. Luckily Fluttershy came back or I would have been killed by the curious faces that watched my every move.
"Okay now hold still, this might hurt a little" she said motherly as she placed ointment on my wound. I bit my lip holding back a yell, as the pain wrapped its self around my arm. When she bandaged the wound I couldn't help but let out a weak whimper from the pain. "There you go" she said before gently kissing the forehead of my mask, which for some reason felt like my actual face.
"So what do we do, with him now?" asked the cyan pegasus. Bringing a good question up, for them to discuss while I try to figure out where I was or wasn't. "We should go looking for his owner" replied the crossbreed. 'Wait a second , what you talking about crossbreed?' I tried to say again however it was once again stopped for me.
"What if we cant find, his owner. What then?" asked the pink one. I tried to get up, cause I wanted out of this mess. However I was stopped by Fluttershy who was insisting that I stay where I was.
"Well if we don't find his owner, he can stay here" Fluttershy replied. Causing everyone to give her unsure looks, while I was to busy trying to understand what they meant by owner. 'Last time I check mankind aren't pets unless they mean slaves. Then that case I want nothing to do with these ponies.'
"Well first we should see if he is healthy. We don't know how long he could of been lost, and ah' know if one of mah humans was returned to me, ah' would want him to be in good health" the orange one said causing me to stiffen up. 'Yeah I'm sure, I'm not wanting to become a slave for a little horse anytime soon' I thought as I planned my escape from being imprisoned.
"Applejack since you have humans, would you like to help me check him for any health problems then?" Fluttershy asked immediately setting off alarms for me, as the orange one or now known as Applejack nodded in agreement.
I quickly hopped onto my feet and tried to exit the cottage, however I found it hopeless as I was stopped in my tracks by a purple aura that was being emitted from the crossbreed's horn. 'You are now my number one nemesis'
"What got him stirred up all of a sudden?" Asked the cyan one as I was pulled back towards them. The aura that had me restrained was too strong for me to keep struggling, but for whatever reason I felt like I was getting stronger the longer the aura was around me.
I decided to wait for a more easier way to escape, one were there is no crossbreed or unicorn in the way. So I stopped struggling and eventually a few minuets later the crossbreed let me go. "Now lets strip him down, while he's calm" Applejack in formed as she and Fluttershy came closer.
"Ill help with the mask" replied the cyan one as she dived in to help. I felt weird for a second like everything came to a stand still, that soon passed after I saw my arm move and catch the cyan one by the neck like it moved on it's own. This of course shocked everyone of them, especially the cyan one.
As soon as I realized what happened I moved my hand away, and felt sleep come to me, as I collided with the floor.

I opened my eyes to a intriguing sight, I was standing in a endless room darkness. However I wasn't standing on a floor or ground of any sorts, instead I was standing on thin air. My curiosity had got to me, so I tried to speak once more. "Hello?" the sound of my voice echoing made me happy finally being able to speak once more.
I then started to feel the peaceful silence that was in the air, in fact the tranquility reminded me of what I felt just before I caught the cyan pegasus. However this felt more of a stronger version, and it showed no sign of stopping. "Yes" replied a calm and soothing voice from above.
"Who's there?" I asked into the darkness, before taking a few steps forward.
There was a moment of silence but then the voice returned. "You will be waking up soon, I can only answer a few questions if any. Is that really what you want to know?" the voice replied giving me goosebumps.
"So I'm asleep ok, Who am I? and how did I get to this world?" I asked trying to find the source of the voice.
Once more I found only silence before my mysterious friend answered once more, with more of a clearer answer this time. "Your not asleep, only in a state of drainage. You entered this world from a trans-dimensional portal from earth sixty-eight point nine to be exact. Do not worry Thomas, I will meet you again when you actually sleep".
"Wait I still have questions!" I yelled towards the voice.
"We'll meet again, just remember to find the light in silver" the voice told me as a bright white light came rushing at me.
I slowly started to open my eyes, to find myself back in Fluttershy's cottage. It was like time stood still and speaking with that voice had never happen. "You okay, Rainbowdash?" asked the pink one, as I let out a low grunt of pain from falling to the wooden floor.
"Yeah, he just has a strong grip though" she said rubbing her throat. I pulled myself back to my feet, to have myself restrained once more, by the crossbreed. 'Damn her and her little horn too'.
"Typical human, easily angered" claimed the white one. Applejack just rolled her eyes in response to her friend's words, and then came closer towards me analyzing every square inch of my body.
Which felt extremely uncomfortable for me, especially when she went behind me where I couldn't see where she was eyeing. "Well, ah' don't get it" she said all of a sudden finally breaking her silence.
"What is it?" asked the crossbreed as she and others grew questionable glances towards her. 'What are you starting at?'
Applejack returned back into my range of sight, she had a bewildered look on her face. "His um... clothing doesn't have any a zipper or buttons keeping it together" she pointed out an odd fact about my clothing.
"Um... what dose that mean?" Fluttershy asked before turning her gaze upon me. 'I don't really care, honestly it's just clothing!' I practically screamed only to have silence come out.
"Well, I cant find a way how to remove the clothes without tearing them off" she claimed getting the attention of the white one. The white one quickly trotted over to me, and inspected me closely like Applejack had done.
She gasped, causing the others eyes to widen. "This is... is impossible!" She screamed with glee as she jumped on her tips of her hooves. "I cant believe this fabric that he is wearing! It's made of pure black infused silk and it's been stitched so closely together. Nopony has ever stitched something like this together, in the history of Equestria! Oh we must find his owner, who is no doubt a true artist of the fashion art!" she exclaimed to everyone.
"Um... Rarity how do we remove his clothing?" Fluttershy asked with a slight pink blush around her cheeks of embarrassment. The unicorn mare returned her focus back to my clothing.
She looked around my neck area heavily then traveled her way downward to my waist obtaining her strict and serious look. "Well I must say, I'm a little stumped on how to remove it without tearing it. I can say however, that it was made on him and was intentionally made to not have a way to remove it" she said turning her attention to her friends.
"So it wasn't made to be removed, why would anypony do that?" asked the Crossbreed interjected while raising an eyebrow. Rarity nodded answering her friend's question.
'Great now I have a pointless question I need answers too and what's with the scissors?' Fluttershy slowly walked up to me with a pair of scissors within her mouth. 'Wait, these are my only clothes!' I tries to struggle with all my might, but I found that the Crossbreed's magic aura was still too powerful for my human strength and I became tired quickly.
Now once I stopped struggling Fluttershy gave the scissors to Rarity, who held it within her very own magic aura. The scissors came up to the bandaged side of my long sleeve of my black clothing and began cutting. She stopped when she made her way to my bandage. She pulled the fabric downwards a little causing an opening just above the bandage where she began cutting again.
She continued till she got to my neck where she severed the last string that binned my clothing from that side. As the front and back of the shirt on my left side fell there was a sudden unified gasp. The ponies were thunderstruck from what I couldn't tell, due to the angle I was being held by.
"W-what could of caused this, Twilight?" Fluttershy asked the crossbreed with concern across her face. Twilight loosen her hold on me with her aura, allowing me to see what they were looking at.
The upper part of my chest and were scared in many ways and forms. They were mainly located near the heart and mainly consist of circular like scars that seemed to have been bullet wounds. There was a few indications of past burn marks and other injuries else where on my chest
The injuries immediately brought more questions to mind. Like what did I do to earn these scars and how wasn't I killed by the bullets that penetrated my body. I was heavily focusing on those questions and more to notice what was happening around me. Till I felt the rest of my clothing being pulled down, which made me look down at the orange mare.
How embarrassing it is for me to have these ponies, females non the less to stare at my manhood. "That's weird" the Applejack announced as she looked upon my nether region. Which made me raise an eyebrow under my mask.
"Is there something wrong AJ?" Rainbowdash inquired, causing Applejack to blush a deep red.
"Well ah' never seen a human with it's um... fore skin cut before" Applejack explained rubbing the back of her head with her hoof. Humans on this world must not be circumcised then. The others had mixed expressions, some held curiosity while others held worried faces.
"You mean he was m-mutilated?" Fluttershy asked, with dismay in her tone of voice. I guess In a way it can be considered mutilation, I never thought about it to be honest.
"In a way, however it's all there. So ah' would have to say it hasn't any real effect on him" Applejack remarked, patting my bare back. Before she began inspecting other regions of my body.
It wasn't long before Applejack cleared me off for being healthy, but then she turned her gaze onto my mask. "Hey Twi, can ya' bring him closer to the ground. So ah' can remove his mask?" she asked Twilight who only nodded and tilted me onto my stomach in the air. I had to look up just to see their faces.
Applejack grabbed ahold of my mask and began pulling. Which it did hurt a lot, but was proven ineffective after a few minuets of her yanking at it. Eventually almost everyone of them except for Fluttershy tried to remove the mask, which met with the same failed results. However when Pinkie attempt to remove it, she moved the mask a full foot before tiring out and sending the mask back onto my face.
"I don't understand how can that not be taken off?" inquired Rainbowdash to Twilight who had disappeared and reappeared with a book.
Twilight immediately began looking through the book from page to page till, she stopped halfway and began explaining to her friends what it 'might' be. "I found only one possible entry. The mask is probably placed on with a spell that keeps the mask from being removed. It's simple to make, yet hard to remove. I would say the best way to remove the mask is find whoever cast the spell in the first place" she explained.
"So let's go find his owner then" yelled Pinkie in excitement. Before my clothing was pulled back up by Fluttershy and repaired by Rarity, who just so to happen to have a sewing needle. Then Twilight summoned a leash and collar out of her magical aura and placed it around my neck. Which in a way reminded me of how we treat dogs back on earth. They dragged me out of Fluttershy's cottage and into the strange new world to where ever their town maybe at. 'I hope I can escape before this get's anymore frantic'.
When I first laid eyes on the town it was before crossing a small wooden bridge over a small river into a park like area. From what I could see of the town it had similarities to earth's Medieval time period in Europe, based on the buildings outer designs and the layout of the town.
As I got closer I started to see more of their cultural similarities and differences with my people. Also I finally set eyes on other ponies and the humans of this world. The humans of this world were... different and showed many similarities, however it was clear to me they were Neanderthal of origin. If the ponies took the time to recognize the differences of me and the other humans, my life could be at risk so I would have to be careful.
The humans of this world were mostly naked, with the occasional exceptions. All the humans were on a leash like a dog would be back on earth. Many of these humans showed symptoms of being branded on the side of their thighs with the same design as their pony owner, which is making me want to rethink about being near these ponies.
Somewhere off in the distance I could hear the sirens of a train, informing me that their technology varies in many departments from medieval to modernized level. They used wooden wagons to transport goods and products for their market district and there was no sign of flying machines except for a hot air balloon that was off to the side of one of the many roads.
Upon entering the town there were immediately looks of curiosity pointed towards me, from both the ponies and the humans from all around us. We continued on passing by more and more curious citizens, till we got near a mirror shop where nearby a scene was being caused by a pony and their human.
The whole ruckus from what I could tell was that the pony's human was refusing to listen to its... master, the pony was getting loud and seemed to get angrier by the second. The pony was a green unicorn with a red mane, with a an accent of an upper class citizen. I want to do something however I know intervening could cause unwanted... attention, so knowing that I think it would be best to stay out of this.
Something caught my eye as I notice something from the corner of my eye. I turned my attention to one of the mirrors from the mirror's store, it was my reflection however while looking at my reflection. I began to feel that strange feeling I got before, when I was with that voice.
Then my reflection moved on it's own, pointing towards the babbling pony. The wind blew bringing a voice with it, as it pass me by. "Do something" the soothing voiced commanded as my reflection looked to me, as it still pointed to the pony. Just then there was a loud smack, that came from the pony who had just hit the human with her purse.
As a result her human began to go into an all out rage and grabbed the pony by the tail raising her above earth she once stood on. The ponies around the area were to afraid to help her. I knew that not intervening would result in her having a severe injury or possibly her death.
I dashed forward, catching the group that I was with by surprise. When I got within a few feet of the human it turned and swung it's fist at me. Which I ducked at the last second and was quickly met with a loud growl from the human. I quickly kicked the human right in it's groin area, hoping that it would cause the beast to stop.
However it only seemed to anger him, he dropped the pony to the ground to focus his attention on me. He swung at me with his fist which then collided with my chest. His punch was painful, he was no doubt stronger than any human back on my world. Using both his hands he tried to grab a hold of me. Which failed him when I swooped down and kicked him off his feet onto the his back. Without thinking I jumped on him holding him down to keep him from using his arms or legs till one of these ponies restrained him or till he calmed down.
It didn't last too long though, two pairs of roman armored ponies appeared surrounding us. I heard someone say something about the town's guard. They were pointing spears in out direction, mainly at me for some reason even though I saved one of them. "Guards about time that you got here. My human attacked and nearly killed me, luckily I was saved by the other human. Who's human is it anyway?" asked the pony as she looked around.
Twilight took ahold of me with her magic aura which caused the guards to lower their spears, which made me raise an eyebrow on how she was able to put the guards to ease. "My friends and I, are going up to town hall to find his owner. We think he might belong to somepony from out of town" Twilight explained.
"Well then Princess Twilight" Wait a second she's a Princess, where's her crown? "I wish you luck on finding his owner and if you can tell his owner of the great deed he had done by saving me" she said happily before she went over to one of the guards and begun talking.
"Are you aright Silver?" Fluttershy asked me as she check me for any injuries from the fight. Her calling me Silver caused everyone to look at her full of curiosity. I was wondering as well why she'd just named me.
"Um Sugar cube why did ya' name him?" inquired Applejack as she took a few steps closer. Fluttershy stopped paying attention to me and looked back to her friends with a slight blush of embarrassment.
"Oh um-I kind of wanted to have a name for him, so if we don't find his owner he would have a temporary name" she explained to her friends and unknowingly me as well.
"So, what gave you the name him Silver?" questioned Pinkie. 'That's a good question, why did you?' I tried to ask almost forgetting that I was mute.
"Oh that's simple really, because you know his mask" she expounded pointing to my mask with her hoof. 'Very Original' I rolled my eyes from under the mask.
We were stuck in that town for what felt like ages, it was almost sundown when they decided that I should stay with Fluttershy because they couldn't find my 'owner' in town nor could they find a missing human report that matched my description. Everyone except for Fluttershy were cautious about me staying over with her at her cottage.
Let somehow Fluttershy was able to get her friends to agree with her, on letting me stay here. They really did felt scared for their friend, and I could understand why. The humans of this world are much more stronger than them, and could easily kill one in their sleep. I had to compare one human of this world's to an ape, or a gorilla.
Something was bothering me however it was more about me that the humans of this world. I know I should've felt disgusted, angered or even miserable; on how my people were treated like mindless animals. The problem is I just don't feel anything, I cant explain it other than I feel void of emotion. Like I don't care even though I know I should care about them as a human being.
Anyway I am now alone with Fluttershy and with her animals friends that live with her. We had dinner which felt odd for me, especially on how was I going to eat with the mask on. Let with some time I discovered I was able to move it upwards enough to my nose. However as far as removing it goes it seems to be made with the same purpose as my clothing. Dinner was a mix of various fruits and vegetables, I didn't expect meat because they were herbivores. However the fruit was very tasteful, better than any thing I ever had.
Fluttershy was in the kitchen, she was cleaning what was left of dinner, while I was in the living room thinking about my life trying to remember anything I could. Fluttershy's animal friends were all staring at me watching my every move. They seem to be unsure on how they should feel about me, they seem to look at me and tilt their heads with curiosity. One in particular that seemed to be the Fluttershy's main pet was a white rabbit, who sniffed up at my leg probably trying to identify me as friend or foe.
It hopped away when Fluttershy came back into the room. The little rabbit hopped to her and onto the couch where it then hop up on her back. Fluttershy treated it like it was a normal everyday thing for it to do so. "Okay everypony it's time to go to bed" she said softly. Causing her many animal friends to head towards their beds, may it be up in a bird house or elsewhere in the house they listened to her. She then turned to me and gave me a soft warm smile "Come now Sliver" she cooed heading up the stairs.
I followed her up the stairs and down the hall passing two doors on the right and one on the left. She led me to another door which she opened reveling a room with a small bed and a window. "This will be your room Silver, come now let me help you get into your bed" she explained before hovering over to the bed and began moving the sheets.
I climbed into the bed which was very soft and comfortable, while Fluttershy covered me with the bedsheets. "Goodnight Silver" she said before leaving the room and closing the door. I watched the door and listen carefully or as careful as I could to hear where Fluttershy went off to. However I wasn't successful and I couldn't hear her hooves against the wooden floor from behind the door of my bedroom.
Poor girl she does care, too bad I cant stay, I just need to clear my head and understand what is going on exactly. I sat up and looked out the window to gaze upon the light of the moon and it's starry neighbors. The constellations were not the same as well, making me draw another difference from this world and mine.
I sat there staring at the moonlight for who knows how long. I slowly and carefully crept out of the soft warm bed and over to the door. I slowly twisted the handle and pulled the door open. There was a small creak that had escaped from the door as pulled, but it was nothing that could have alarmed anyone or thing nearby.
I stalked my way down the corridor passing the first two doors till I had gotten to the last where it was left ajar. I peeked my head in to spot another bedroom, where Fluttershy was in deep sleep under her covers. I walked over to her being as careful as I could not to wake her.
Now staring down at her it raises a question on just how they had enslaved my race. From the ponies that have I seen, they seem to not have the backbone to keep humans in line, unless they are the military or have power to subdue one like Twilight. Honestly I could end her innocent life right here and it would be so fast that she wouldn't feel it. However I had no reason to do so, she was nice to me and treated me with some respect.
I shook away those thoughts brought my attention on why I left my room. I was going to escape tonight to get myself as far from these ponies as possible. Then something caught my attention from the corner of my eye.
I turned to face a shimmer of light, when I saw the mirror. It was a silhouette of a slim man, then that voice of my mysterious friend questioned me. "Where are you going to go once you leave and what will you do then?"
He was right, I was lost in a alien world where I had no real knowledge of. What was I thinking?
"Correction you weren't thinking Thomas" the voice said causing my eyes to widen in disbelief, did he just read my mind? "I cannot discuss this with you right now, I'm using too much of my energy to speak. Just go to sleep here for the night, you can escape tomorrow night" he advised me. He's right I don't have a plan after I had escaped. "See you soon " he said as the silhouette dispersed and was replaced with my reflection.
I glanced at Fluttershy seeing if the voice had awaken her, luckily she had not stirred from her location. I slowly exited the room the way I entered and shut the door as silent as I could, and made my way down the hallway back to my room. Shutting the door silently and getting into the bed once more, I felt that feeling once more as I close my eyes.
It was dark as night and cold as Ice, soft hums echoed from the darkness. The figure in front of me was darker than anything I had ever seen, it was like a black hole had appeared in front of me sucking the very light out of the darkness. Suddenly a beam of light appeared from behind him, turning the night to a dark grey. "Thomas" the voice vocalize as his eyes of a glowing white fire opened.
"Now tell me what are you, who am I, how did I get here and why cant I remember anything that happened till this afternoon?" I basically cried out to it. Only to be met with a tilt of the head.
"Who am I?, that's a good question. " the voice replied grabbing it's chin before snapping his fingers of shadow. "You can call me Light, and for who exactly you are. You're Thomas Wanedon, a former farmer from the town of Bath in England" he continued causing slight glimpses of my house and the farm I once grew up on to appear. However they were only glimpses no real memories of family or anything. "I suppose you would like to know more about your family and friends?" the voice stated.
"That can wait, how did I get here and where are you exactly. How can we communicate without being near each other?" I asked Light.
There was silence for the most part, until he let out a chuckle that caused my skin to crawl. "We opened a trans-dimensional gateway here. Sadly your memories being loss is a side effect of that said gateway. As for how we are currently communicating, well... I guess you can say that I'm in your head. How that came to be is a very complicated story and wait... do you feel that?" he questioned as a warmer presence started to take the void. "We're not alone anymore. You must wake up!" he voiced as a mist started to engulf us.
I quickly sprung up like one who had just recently been in horrific a nightmare. Questions started to fill my mind once more, many of which was about Light and what he is or was. Another was that warmer presence and what it could of have been. The fear of what might happen once I went to sleep had over taken me and was making it hard for me to sleep for the rest of the night. The sun was finally rising as I started to fall back to sleep once more. Maybe I could get some actual shut eye before, I am bothered today.
Silver wake up" the soft toned voice instructed me as my body disobeyed her. "Wake up Silver it's time to eat breakfast!" she cried softly causing me to slowly open an eye to see Fluttershy slightly nudging me. "Oh, please you need to get up, today is a busy day for you; get up!" she said nonstop gently shacking me to get up. Slowly raising from the bed, my back cracked loudly making Fluttershy jump on the spot.
It took a moment for her to realized that nothing bad had happen and that I was fine. She led me back across the hallway and downstairs to the kitchen. While she started on making breakfast for me and the other animals, I was trying to stay awake despite being heavily sleep deprived. "Wake up!" Light's voice yelled causing me to jump in my seat. I looked around trying to find the source of Light's voice, only to have no sign of him. Maybe my mind was playing tricks on me, I mean I am sleep deprived but still he typically shows himself in a reflection on something.
"Thomas I don't have long but since we were interrupted, I have learn something. We are not safe communicating threw your dreams, something interesting had entered your dream last night. I don't know much about it, but I was able to trace the source to an entity of immense power" Immense power, what dose this mean for me?
"It means something in this physical world can enter your head. Also Thomas before I go... I need to tell you something so you would understand the importance of us being here, in this world" That's right why am I here? There was a stretched reply almost unbearable "Al... on... tha... cse... exzts Then there was silence absolute silence for the longest time at least till Fluttershy placed my breakfast in front of me.
Damn, what was he going to say?, how important was it? and when will he return again? There was a sudden cold lifeless whisper that came from behind me that brought chills down my back. I got up from my seat and stared at the cause of the whisper. There in front of me was something unimaginable. Beings of what could only be described as once humans from earth, their faces were pale and slightly distorted. If I stared into their eyes I would be loss in ever darkness of an empty void. Black blood dripped from their eyes as the stared heavily at me.
They started whispering all of them, it was like so cold and lifeless in nature. I turned around to glimpse at Fluttershy to see if she was watching or was still focused on making breakfast, but when I looked there was more of them. That was when all sense of color faded from the world to a dark grey light that came from behind them. Their whispers started to make sense, they were chanting something horrifying. Most were asking why, while others were angry about something.
Then they stared pointing to me and their faces turned to hatred and disgust, as the started to get closer and closer till the were about to grab ahold of me. Then I awoke right as Fluttershy nudged me. She had startled me, causing me to fall backwards from the table. 'Was I dreaming or was that real?' was the question that started to race in my head as I struggled to get back up from the wooden floor.
"Oh sweet Celestia, are you okay?" Fluttershy asked me rushing to my aid helping me stand back up. "I'm so sorry I didn't mean to scare you Silver, please forgive me" she squeaked trying to apologizing to me for something that wasn't her fault. She really does care about me despite me being a different species. She's more caring to me and the other animals here than any human back on earth has ever been to me.
I quickly turn to watch the front door open up to reveal a familiar orange pony with a Stetson. "Morn'n Fluttershy are you and Silver ready to go to the market?" Applejack in formed.
That's what Fluttershy must of meant by busy day, but why is Applejack here then? "Thank you for helping me find what I need to take care of Silver" Fluttershy thanked her friend.
"No need sugar cube, I'm just glad to help. Especially since ah' have humans, so ah' know what they need" she explained with a innocent smile. "Well we should get going, if we want to obtain the supplies before it gets busy" Applejack remarked. Fluttershy patted my head before she placed on the collar combined to a leash that she got for me after looking for my nonexistent owner.
We are about halfway into town and the girls are having their private conversation with each other and... I just now realized that I hadn't eaten breakfast yet. However I wasn't really hungry perhaps I'm still full from last night's dinner? It really doesn't matter, I'm too tired to be thinking off these things right now. Wait, how did we get in Ponyvile so soon?
Looking around I deduced that we were in the Market square, I was still being glared at heavily from every pony and human that came in viewing range of me. Luckily like Fluttershy and her friends they were not bright enough to figure out the differences between me and the other humans. I hope it stays like that at least till Light comes back and explains to me why I am here on this planet.

"Light you do know once I f-finally get down, I will kill you without r-regret right?" the dark melting blob of a creature spoke looking down at Thomas from a glass like sphere.
"You may try" Light said touching the melting creature on what would be the shoulder with his silver hand. The figure turned to Light, eyeing his hated enemy with his crimson eyes. "Now if you excuse me I need to make my way back to Thomas, before he gets himself killed or do something rash" he said as a door of light appeared from within the ground.
"You cant k-keep him from m-me" the creature spoke with anger and hatred seeking out of its mouth. With that Light left the dark room leaving the monster to isolation. "Oh I-I will have what belongs to m-me..." it spoke as it turn it's gaze back to Thomas.
Fluttershy and Applejack lead the way, while I was behind being practically almost dragged by them. If I wasn't tired as I am, I would be keeping up with them better. "What else do we need for Silver?" Fluttershy commented looking to me and then back at her friend.
Applejack stopped to think for a moment to respond, but when she did it was in a suspicious demeanor. "Depends shy, do ya want him marked?"
Marked, what do you mean by marked?, I turned to Fluttershy hoping she could explain it to me somehow. Fluttershy held a look of disdain of what her friend had just said. "T-that wont be necessary Applejack I think just a collar will do, besides I know that would frighten him" she said peacefully. Yeah... like I'm not frightened by your current conversation already.
"Well then that should be all, you just need to visit Twilight. She said something about recently obtaining a new book of sorts about humans and she asked me to let you know to come visit her" Applejack informed us. A new book... this could help me learn about the humans of this world and could tell me how they came to be slaves or pets to ponies.
"O-oh okay, thank you for helping me find everything Applejack, I better go see Twilight now" Fluttershy said heading towards wherever Twilight's house was, with me slow-walking behind her. Now that I think of it wouldn't she have a castle instead of a house?, however there's no castle nearby except for the one on the mountain that I saw earlier. Yet, that's too far to just walk there in one day or by any other means of travel they could have. So where are we heading to?
"Good question" Light spoke causing me to jump a bit, luckily Fluttershy didn't take notice of it. Light where the hell have you been at? "Sorry about leaving you, I was quite drained of energy and I then became busy trying to reform your memories without causing any complications. So what have I missed?" he stated.
Well Fluttershy and Applejack took me on a trip for supplies that humans use or need to be exact, and now we're heading towards Twilight's castle. "I see... Well you should start to remember your past soon and.... Thomas I don't like the looks of that human" he said causing me to turn my head to the left more.
There's just a woman with their pony, I don't see what's wrong with..."Thomas look closer at her thigh" Her thigh its... The hell?, its been branded. "The branding is the same design as their pony's Thomas" That caused me to shiver realizing what I was watching.
Is this what they meant?"Thomas, what do you mean?" Applejack talked about with Fluttershy seeing if she wanted me marked, but I never thought they meant this. Thank god that she didn't want that for me. "Thomas this is most troubling for us" I know, why are we here?
"I was afraid you didn't hear me before we lost contact. Well there is no sugarcoating it... Thomas you are the last of the human race from Earth" The words hit me like a brick as he said it. What do you mean Light? "Thomas there was a problem you couldn't do anything about. A being of great power turned the world to ash, I was not able to save any of the innocent" How am I alive then and how do you explain these other humans? "I was able to save you only and as for these others I don't know. Perhaps they came here long before the Neanderthals died off, they are indeed intriguing"
Light I have one more question, if these are Neanderthals then why are they enslaved? From what I can tell ponies think their some dumb animal. Didn't Neanderthals have a basic level of sentient intelligence? "That is true, and I have come up with four possibilities on the subject so far"
Light's tone had changed for once it was more disgusted than the calm balanced tone he held the few times we talked. "One Neanderthals were transported here before their extinction and end up being slaves before they could show their intelligence, slowly becoming dumber after they were enslaved. Another possibility is that ponies at one time knew they were smart however over time they forgot the intelligence they might have" That's only two, what are the other two?
"The government of the ponies or a higher power are keeping it hidden from the public knowledge, or that one point in time our worlds connected and they cross into our world eventually becoming smarter as they learned from our world's early humans" Light what am I to do now if I'm the last of my kind? What is even the god damn use of fighting to continue living on?
"Thomas please, you're being irrational. You want a reason to continue, then look around you what do you see?" Turning my head, I watch carefully desperately trying to identify anything that could be an answer. "Really? look closer at the enslaved animals what they mean to you?" Animals, what do they mean to me? They're...they are... "Yes they are and what are they?"
I started to feel something deep inside me screaming out and crying, but I don't know what to say. I could feel myself stop walking and started clinching my fists as for the first time I start to feel anger boiling up and flowing out from inside me. They are the closest thing I have to real humans... The answer cried out of me silencing Light for a moment, before he chuckled with hope.
"Good you have some understanding of what I am thinking" What are you planning to do then?"Simple I wish to free our kin and bring them into an age of light not darkness. I cant do it alone that is why we need to work together to save them" How are we going to free them, if we cant communicate with anything let? "We cant save them now, however we will we just need to learn more about this world and then plan everything before we free our kin. Now I need to rest we will speak later today"
"Silver what is the matter?" Fluttershy questioned me. She was gently hovering meeting me face to face only a few inches apart. Upon seeing this surprised me and caused me to jump backwards falling onto my back, and because of the leash I accidently pulled her down on top of me. We stayed there for a moment looking at each other face to mask. From the color of her cheeks she was embarrassed, I too was a little embarrassed for falling onto the ground bringing her down with me.
She floated back into the air, while I pulled myself off from the ground. "Silver why did you stop boy, is there something wrong?" she inquired trying to ignore what had recently just happen. I did the only thing I could think of to show her I was fine. I pat her little head softly. She seemed to liked it because she giggled a little. "Okay Silver, lets hurry now. Twilight's house is just around the corner" she informed.
When we went around the corner, I swear my eyes widen and my jaw dropped. There right in front of me was a castle of crystal right near the heart of the town. Boy did Twilight have a house for a princess alright, which makes me wonder now if the bigger castle on the mountain is perhaps the King's.
The golden like doors of Twilight's castle were about ten feet tall. They were much bigger than the five foot doors in Fluttershy's cottage or any other door in town that I saw. Now that I think about it and now that I see it, how come I didn't notice this sooner? For goodness sake the thing's huge, you could probably see the damn thing anywhere in town!
Fluttershy knocked on the door, followed by a sound of a young boy from behind "Be there just a minute" the child from behind the door exclaimed. The door open to reveal some sort of purple two foot lizard standing from behind. "Oh hi Fluttershy, you here to see Twilight?" the lizard inquired.
"Yes Spike, Applejack told me that Twilight wanted to show me something about humans" she informed the child like lizard. So ponies are not the only sentient races here, huh?
"She's in the map room, say your human isn't going to cause any trouble will he? Cause I just finished cleaning the whole castle and reorganized books in the library with help from Starlight and I really don't want to clean anything up again" Spike expressed.
"Don't worry Spike, Silver is well behaved for a human" Fluttershy explained to him as we walked inside the castle. Inside the castle looked like they had built it from nothing but crystal with a few exceptions being the decals and the doors.
We eventually entered what seemed to be the main hall that connects to many other rooms. The flooring was made of Crystal except for a seal that matched Twilight's marking on her flank, a magenta six-pointed star. Fluttershy lead me to another room where Twilight was in. The room held six crystal chairs each with the same marking as Fluttershy and her friends. They surrounded a table which was made of crystal like almost everything else in the castle so far. However the most interesting thing was that the table projected some sort of map.
I was a little taken back by the map, honestly I thought that they were behind humans when it came to techknowledgey. However this makes me wonder if they are just behind in certain tech and further advanced in other forms than humans. Humans had never made something this advance as far as I am aware of. Which then again is not much since I can't remember hardly anything at all.
"Oh, Fluttershy good you're here. I wanted to show you something that I recently received because of an old subscription to an researcher in Canterlot" Twilight said giddily. Wait Canterlot? Is that some kind of play one word for Camelot, I'm sure it's just a coincidence right? Twilight's horn began to glow as a book came from behind her chair. It was made from a fine pressed leather and from what I could see so far was that it was hand stitched or in this cased stitched by hooves.
"Um, Twilight what exactly is it about? I mean I know that it's about humans, but what makes this different than the others?" Fluttershy inquired of her friend.
"Well this book has proven many theories about humans wrong and reworked the thought of how humans think. For example we long thought humans had no intelligence when it came to memory, however we now know they can remember things about their past if they live past the age of twenty-five years. Although the typical age length is twenty thanks to our advance medicine" Twilight explained with pride and excitement. Twenty-five, I wonder why its so low?
"Ooh okay, now I wish I knew how old Silver is" Fluttershy replied looking up at me and tilting her head slightly. Great add one more question to my list of things for me to remember.
"Well I'm sure we can find out, we just need to find a way to remove that mask without harming him first" Twilight explained as she got up from her chair. "I 've been researching a way to remove that mask or possibly worn down the spell so it would be easier to remove, and I think I might of found a way" Twilight explained as she led us out of the room and into a library that was fit for a professor of an university.
"Really, how did you come across it and will it u-um hurt him?" Fluttershy inquired.
"It was in an copy of Star-Swirl's journal when he first began to push the boundaries of magic, however the book is filled with very precise instructions on the spell. I believe I have mastered the spell to the exact detail of every method, now all we need is for Silver to stay still for a moment and don't worry Fluttershy it's perfectly harmless. The most he'll feel is a slight discomfort while the spell is in effect" She explained as she charged up her horn. Oh this wont go well at all, I just know it wont.
Twilight's horn released a beam of magic at my magic causing me to rise in the air as my mask was pulled upwards. Her magic began to swirl around my body. Every slight move I made the swirling beams of light the faster it began to move. Eventually the beams of light moved in closer to me. It began to move towards my chest right at the time Twilight stopped using her magic abilities. However the beam was still around me, ever so closer it pulled itself towards me.
The beams suddenly struck at me in my heart region. I felt the power course through my whole body causing me a slight discomfort. Then it started to get worse like my whole organs were being shredded from within. Then the light struck my mask, causing it to glow a bright white light before the sound of a loud sonic boom.
Smoke was clearing from the explosion that the spell had caused when it impacted Silver just a few moments ago. Fluttershy and Twilight were protected at the last second by Twilight's shield spell. "Um Twilight what happen and where is Silver?" Fluttershy asked as Twilight scanned the room for a trace of him.
"I don't know the spell shouldn't have reacted like that and there's no trace of Silver, so perhaps he was teleported somewhere" Twilight explained as she looked around the library for any evidence that he was vaporized or body parts.
The white light was all that I could see and silence filled the air. Then I was slowly starting to see shapes appear from the light as a ringing began to play in my ears. I was on my knees from what I could tell and I was looking down at my hands which was slightly warmer than normal.
Slowly color started to fill my vision as I realize that there was blood on my hands and on the chest of my olive-green jacket. Slowly I looked up at another body of a unknown man laying on the ground a few feet across from me. His head was gone and putting two and two together I quickly realized that I wasn't injured and instead it was the man's blood and not mine.
I looked to the left and right of me slowly surveying the landscape around me. I was in a muddy yet, barren landscape filled with creators and with a look of death for miles around. Bodies of countless others litter the ground some as fresh as a few seconds ago, others months or possibly longer. Most of the bodies had something similar about them, they were all either wearing olive-green or greyish military uniforms. Shattered remains of many weapons were everywhere including one that was at my side, a half of a rifle.
That was when sound returned back to me, the sound of thunder coming from behind me and in front. Suddenly just a few feet from me an explosion went off, followed by many others all around. The only thing I could think of was that I was in a warzone, and was being fired on by artillery fire possibly by friends.
Yet I couldn't move, like time itself stopped me from moving to find some cover in this barren wasteland. Then there was another explosion releasing a gas like substance that was heading right towards me. That was when I remembered what was going on, and where I was. I was fighting a war in Europe.
I quickly eyed the gas mask on the deceased soldier in front of me and jumped at. I was able to put it on just in time as the gas began to engulf the area. I could feel a tear run down my face as I relived this memory once more, slowly names of comrades from my company hit me as I realized that they're some of the dead that is currently surrounding me.
I awoke and quickly rose from the dream that I was in, to find myself in another entirely different barren wasteland. Looking around me I was lucky enough to recognize a certain mountain in the distance. It was the mountain that near Ponyvile meaning I wasn't across the other side of this world. However traveling towards Ponyvile would take maybe three days, if I'm even more lucky maybe less than two days.
Pulling myself up from the sand I quickly felt the pain from me being transported by Twilight's spell all over my body. The pain is going to be a problem. Slowly I began my journey heading back to Ponyvile by heading towards the mountain city. I had only taken forty steps when I heard a someone's voice from behind a large boulder. I slowly approach the boulder due to my curiosity.
I peeked around the boulder to find a pegasus who was bleeding from the right wing, which looked like the feathers were pulled out of the wing. "Darn humans and their Celestia darn stupid hands" he growled holding the wing close to himself. He was angry about something involving humans making me put two and two together. I gently knocked on the boulder to let him know I was there.
He practically squealed in horror, at least he did till he got a look at me. "Well um... your not one of the escapees, are you lost little guy?" he stated peaking my interest of his story out here and what he means escapees, did some humans run away? "Right you don't talk, get it together Snare your talking to a human. Great, so how am I going to get out of this situation?" he told himself desperately trying to figure something out.
I stepped around to sit next to him, which while I moved he watched carefully. "What could have you so interested with?" he inquired as his eyes shifted to his wing and then back to me. "You're not hungry are you?" he asked with fear in his eyes. I pat his head gently as a response to his question. "Oh thank Celestia, your domesticated. Judging by your clothing you must be somepony's pet in upper Canterlot" he said as his eyes turned to the mountain city.
"Snare where are you bud?" a female yelled from a short distance from us, giving my new friend a look of relief.
"I'm over here Mint" he yelled to his friend. His friend was a unicorn who was carrying a bat in her bag. Once she went around the boulder she instantly took notice of his injuries and me being next to him. Springing into action, she knock me a few feet away with a powerful quick kick to my body. I pulled myself up and eyed my attacker who was in a defensive stance between me and her friend. She was using her magic to hold the bat so it could swing at me in a moment's notice.
Her friend was speechless, trying to figure out what to say. Then she jumped at me and swung right when he tried to tell her to stop, "Mint wait!" Feeling that odd feeling again I caught the bat before it could hit me and held it firmly. Her eyes went wide and she had no doubt from that moment realize she had messed up.
"Hey human, you know I was playing around right?" she lied strait from her teeth. I ripped the bat from her magical grip, forcing her to fall on her rump as I took hold of both ends of the bat. Like instinct I quickly hit it against my thigh snapping it in two and throwing it aside. I then sat back down watching her carefully for any sign of possible malicious intent.
"Mint he didn't do this to me it was one of the escapees, he's just a lost pet from Canterlot that somehow must of gotten separated from his owner" Snare explained to Minty, who was staring back at me with fear. "Look Minty I don't think it will attack us if we leave it alone" he continued breaking the daze that she was in.
She walked over to her friend and pulled out a bandage and began to wrap the injury. "Snare what are we going to tell the boss?" asked Mint as she finished wrapping the wing.
"Don't worry Mint, everything is going to be fine. Besides if we could bring this human back with us it would probably make him go easier on us, that is if he follows us" he said trying to brush off whatever tension that was in the air. Yeah I should get going if I want to make it to Ponyvile still alive, and plus I don't wont to find out what they were planning. I got up and brushed off the sand and began my walk back home leaving the two ponies behind.

Light was surrounded by darkness with only his slivery eyes glazing into a glass orb showing Thomas going through the desert. "I've got to find a way...to make this all okay. I've got to find a way...I've got to find a way" he said repetitively to himself as small amounts of orange light began to seek into the room. The light moved like fireflies on a spring night, slowly hovering around encircling around Light and the orb.
"It's up to me to restore you somehow, I'll bring you back your memories Thomas. Piece by piece restoring your humanity" he promised as his silver hands came out of the darkness and held the orb. Suddenly another orb appeared showing Thomas on the battlefield putting on a gas mask as poisonous gas engulfed him. Followed by a forty or so more orbs containing images and information of people that was in his company.
Then light that came from above shined down a section of the dark void revealing a bookshelf. The orbs hovered to the bookshelf slowly becoming space less at they filled the bookshelves. "I promise to succeed Thomas, but there's not much I can do at this moment" he said as the orb began to shine.
"Of course there is n-nothing that you can do, just look at the s-situation we are in Light" a dark voice growled as crimson eyes appeared from within the shadows. Light stood silent focusing heavily on what Thomas was doing. "What's w-wrong? You're not trying to I-ignore now me are you?" the creature inquired as it entered the light that shined onto the bookshelf. It had grown more distinct features that made it look like a melted man, other than a runny blob of black goo.
I had been walking what felt like forever in this hospitable wasteland of the world, with the damn sun bombarding me with it intense heat. Mint and Snare was following me or we just happen to be heading the same way for the moment. They are at least a few feet away keeping their distance probably because Mint was still a little afraid of me. Then again most ponies are afraid of humans so I shouldn't expect her to get any closer, especially because what had happened earlier with the bat.
I had to stop moving do due to the heat causing the ponies behind me to stop as well. I looked for a place in the shade to rest in before I continue on returning back to Ponyvile. Nothing but the barren wasteland, however not far into he distance was the edge of the wasteland which connected to the grasslands. Suddenly I felt myself fall over face first into the ground exhausted. I couldn't move I was too tired and hot. My eyes slowly started to close as the hooves of who I could only guess was Snare and Mint, started up again from stopping. I felt my eyes beckon me to sleep as my eyes closed for the last time.
Opening my eyes I found myself in a dim lit room, laying on top of a straw pile. Where am I how did I get here and how long was I out, was the questions that came through my mind as I looked around. It took a moment for my eyes to adjust to the dark room but when they did they widen from the sight that was around me. I was in a cage surrounded by other caged humans in what seemed to be like a warehouse.
Suddenly the voice of Mint echoed from the walls of the room. They must of taken me to this... this... what is this place? Suddenly I heard the voice of another pony who wasn't Snare. Mint came into sight followed by another unicorn. That unicorn had a stern face with a bushy black mustache.
"Peppermint is this the human that you and Snare found out in the badlands?" he questioned with a non impressed glare at me. Peppermint must be her full name, now who is this guy their boss? Peppermint nodded in response to her 'friend's' question. He looked me over from head to toe multiple times. "I suppose it will do, I wish we had the three that had escaped back. However at least the two of you were not killed by these beasts" he exclaimed looking at me with disgust.
"Auction how is Snare do you know?" Peppermint asked with a mixture of curiosity and worry on her face. Light if you would like to speak to me right now it would be grateful!
"Don't worry Peppermint, Snare is okay. The nurse said he was lucky that it was his wing and not his neck that the human grabbed a hold of. You can visit him later today, he is currently resting from the long day" Auction replied with a slightly warm smile. "Now come on we need to check on the other warehouse" he said as he turned to leave. Peppermint looked to me for a second before following him out of the warehouse.

"So do tell how will you bring Thomas's memories back, huh?" the beast questioned as Light began pushing the orange light closer together slowly. "Oh and I also want to know what's your plan to free the pathetic excuse for humans on this world?" it spoke again in a venomous tone.
"I'll find a way, may it come to teleporting to another world or freeing them through a mass revolution for independence. I'll find a way what ever it is" Light said as the orange light formed an orb.
The creature grew a sinister smirk and quickly came up with an idea. "Well y-you could do the hard way or... y-you could end Thomas, take his body and f-free them with your powers. Cause you and me b-both know how powerful you are. You could no doubt kill anything t-that gets in your way, huh?" the creature informed stalking Light carefully as he tenses up.
"What's w-wrong, would you feel to guilty from killing T-thomas? No I doubt that, if you did k-kill him... it wouldn't be your first kill now would it?" it said right before it was hit with a blast of white energy to the heart.
"SILENCE CRIMSON NOW!" Light yelled with anger. Gaining a chuckle from Crimson.
"Oh, poor Light you and me both know that you can't harm me while I'm here Light. Also might I say, I missed the angry side of you, I really do" he said with a chuckle. He walked over to the orange org and barely tapped it with his melted finger. "I think I'll help you out for once" he said as the orb began to show images of a past memory. With that Crimson disappeared into the darkness.
Warehouse
I was trying to find a way out of the cage when I was hit with another memory. The memory was so horrid, I was strapped down to a metal table upwards in a seventy five degree angle. There was only one light coming from the swaying light bulb above me. I was in pain, so much pain.
Then they came in, the Germans with their canisters. One man out of all of them stuck out he was wearing a white, and had a devils smile. I remember exactly what he said to me. "Subject one hundredth n one, subjects name Wanedon Thomas" he said as one of his lackeys noted the information. "We will be knowing the effects of blue viral on you very soon " he said as he equipped a gasmask.
The other Germans then began opening the canisters spewing out a toxic blue gas. I tried to hold my breath for as long as I could but the gas wasn't dispersing and my eyes were burning from contact. Then I breathed in the gas which burned me from inside, causing my body to converge with intense motion. I felt blood run down my nose as my mind went numb and fell into darkness.
I remember him... Doctor Fredrick Schwartz. I remember I was caught in the war and I remember every little type of war weapon he tested on me. For eight years I was there till the war ended with us as the winners.
As the memories faded away I found myself in what I conclude was where me and Light met when I sleep. However the mist wasn't suppose to be here and Light wasn't in view nor had he spoke out to me yet. Which then reminded me of what Light warned me about 'another being that entered my mine last time.
"Hello is anypony here?" a feminine voice inquired from within the mist, which raised my suspicion. "Hello anypony?" the voice inquired once more. I knew I shouldn't but I have to see.
"H-hello?" I replied which caused the mist to light up a dark blue flowed by the sound of the mystery pony taking a step.
"Thank goodness" she exclaimed followed by a sigh.
"Who are you?" I asked, peering deep into the mist that seemed to slowly become clearer.
"I'm Princess Luna and you?" she replied back followed by a few steps. I was about to respond when Light appeared from behind me. "You need to wake up Thomas" he whispered to me. I wanted to protest but however he was the only one I could trust in this world.
I closed my eyes and open them to the sight of the cage I was still in. "Now what did you get yourself into?" Light inquired. Long story but if you can magically get me out of here I'll tell you about it. "No need I already know of how you got into this mess. I guess I could free you from your cell. Please hold" Wait what? how are you going to get me out your just a voice in my head, from what I understand.
My body began to glow slowly till it went white to find myself up in the sky falling down to the surface.
Fluttershy was hanging out with Pinkie Pie and Rainbowdash at the nearby lake. Rainbowdash had the day off and Pinkie had nothing else to do, for that weekend the Cakes had planed to visit their family in Manehattan. They invited her to help cheer her up, if not make her forget about losing Silver
She had forgiven Twilight for accidently sending him away to who knows where with the spell that was meant to remove the mask. However despite being there with two of her friends she couldn't help but worry about Silver and if he was sent to anyplace of real danger to humans like the Griffon empire.
Pinkie was swimming around in circles in the lake, while Rainbowdash was on her lawn chair 'catching some rays' as she said it. Fluttershy was resting her hooves in the lake as she watched a family of ducks swam across from her. She thought how it must be a hot day for them as well. Suddenly there was a splash that impacted Fluttershy and pushed the ducks forward to the other side of the lake faster. Now completely soaked Fluttershy looked to the source of the splash, only seeing Pinkie coming back to the surface.
Pinkie had jumped causing everypony wet including Rainbowdash. "Come on in girls the water is perfect!" Pinkie claimed before diving back under the water.
"Fine, I guess I could catch some rays later anyways" Rainbowdash declared before flying into the lake, causing a bigger slash than Pinkie. After she surfaced she beckoned Fluttershy to hop in.
"Oh, okay" she said as she flew in causing a delicate splash. "That was fun, how did I do?" Fluttershy inquired of Rainbowdash with a friendly smile. But before she could reply Pinkie's head escaped from under Rainbowdash.
"My Pinkie sense is going off like crazy!" she yelled as she pulled a umbrella hat out from the lake water and put it on.
"What's it saying?" Inquired both pegasi in unison, both remembering the last time it had warned of something.
"That something is falling!" She exclaimed just as a massive splash was formed with the fast object plunging into the lake.
The lake's water went in all directions soaking all plants and animals in half of a mile's distance. Pinkie, Rainbowdash and Fluttershy was washed into a tree and was holding on tightly for dear life. The lake was down significantly only holding a familiar human dressed in black with a silver mask. "Silver!" cried Fluttershy as she zoomed to her lost pet.
She laid her ear against his chest and listen carefully for a heart beat. She sighed in relief as her eyes turned to gaze up at her human. "Fluttershy is Silver okay?" inquired Rainbowdash as she flew to the ground beside her. Followed by Pinkie hopping in the mud that was once covered up by the lake.
"He's fine, I think the water and then mud cushioned his falling" she said as she looked around the impact site. Silver's body twitched followed by a groan. "It's okay Silver, I got you. You're safe now" she cooed Silver as he rest unconsciously.

My eyes shot open to the room, where Light and I usually meet. I felt both anger and confusion as I tried to remember what had happen. "I remember falling to the earth followed by a splash. Light, what the hell was that Light?" I yelled into the black room. "Hm.. that didn't go as I expected" he replied stepping out from the shadows, with his white glowing eyes watching me.
"Light what did you do? and how did you do it?" I cried with venom.
He tilted his head as if he was confuse as well. "Its a long story, which I... he started as I cut in.
"I'm tired of this Light I want to know what you're hiding from me. You can start by telling me who or what you are" I spat, knowing to well he is hiding something.
"Fine... I guess I couldn't have kept who I am a secret hidden much longer anyway, now could I. Well If you must know my name is Light, and that is it. For what I am, well I guess you can call it an advance form of schizophrenia or another personality" he said calmly as his eyes turned to his hand,
"What am I mad, are you really just a voice in my head?" I inquired of him not getting any response from him.
"If you want to think that then sure. However I am fully aware of my personal being, just like you are. In other words we are two separate beings stuck in one body, and unlike me you have complete control of your every action that you make. I am currently limited to your body's memories and have no real reaction with anything else. However I will admit I did tamper with you to get you out of the cage" he said so calmly like it was no big deal.
I don't know how to respond to that. So he is a voice in my head but he's not? Is that what he is trying to explain to me? Forget it, I can ponder that question for years and still be lost. However what does he mean by tamper with me, and how in hell did he get me out he is confined to my memories and my head, right?
"I take it you want to know how I got you out of the cage exactly, while I'm bound to your mind?" inquired as he straitened his head. His question nailed exactly what I wanted to know but how?
"Yeah, how did you do that?" I said taking a step towards him.
"Well the best way to explain it is to tell you is... Then again the thought just came to mind, I have no obligation to tell you anything. Before you get any angrier and start yelling at me. Think it like this, if I tell you then you will be perplexed even more than your are now. That is why I only told you info that is relevant at the current time"he said turning around and entering the darkness.
"The hell does that suppose to mean?, tell me how you did it!" I shouted into the void.
"Same thing when you caught the bat and broke it, along as when you caught Rainbowdash by the neck" he said as his voice faded away.
Twilight's Castle
"Then he fell just like that?" Twilight asked trying to understand Fluttershy's testimony.
"Um.. well, yes" she said as the explanation was a little bit quirky. Twilight then began walking back and forth between Fluttershy and Silver who was laying down on one of the couches in the main hallway's.
"Aha" claimed Twilight as she used her magic to bring out the book that had sent Silver away. Fluttershy was still uncertain about if she should let Twilight do the spell on him again, just so that he doesn't accidently be sent to somewhere dangerous like the Everfree or the Dragon Kingdom.
"The most likely scenario is that my spell was slightly wrong and it had somehow sent him forward into time to randomly teleport above you by sure coincidence" she explained to her friend.
Silver began to awake and slowly rose from the couch, placing one of his palms up against his head. He then turned to the two ponies in front of him. He simply removed himself from the couch and peered over the two as he always does. Fluttershy came up to him gave him a joyful hug and clipped on the leash onto his collar.
"Lets go home boy" she said before thanking Twilight and telling her goodbye. As they left neither she or Twilight had noticed that Silver's mask was slightly brighter than usual.
It was slightly an hour after noon and Celestia was sitting in high her throne reading the royal document that would be given to Parliament to make into law if deemed acceptable. She had just crossed out a paragraph when her sister had came into the room. Luna had a stern look across her face as she walked down the long throne room till she stopped at the steps.
"Sister, may I speak with you in private?" Luna asked taking a slight glance towards the white unicorn guards in gold clad armor that guarded the steps to the throne, before fixating back on her sister.
Celestia put down the document to her side and nodded agreeing with her sister. "Very well" she sad calmly as she stood up and stretched her wings which radiated with glorious power, before stepping down from the throne. "Will you excuse us?" she asked towards her guards. They bowed their heads before they both marched out of the throne room leaving the two of them alone.
Celestia looked to her sister and studied her face "What troubles you dear sister?, you don't usually wake up for another hour or so" she stated with elegance raising an eyebrow towards her sister.
"Its something I don't understand, sister. I am sure it might be nothing yet, I fear that it may become a problem later on" Luna confessed unconfidently to her sister.
Celestia saw the mixed emotion of both worry and doubt in her younger sister's eyes. "Sister, what ever it may be we will conquer it together" she cooed warmly as her wing wrapped around her sister for an embrace. She pulled back after a minute to listen to her sister's issue.
"Sister, while I was doing my nightly dream watching a few days ago I picked up on something peculiar. There was one dream that was filled with this cold ghastly fog. No matter how far I traveled in this dream, I could not find the pony that made up the dream. Having the pony wake up, before I was able to meet with him or her. However, until recently I found somepony that called back to me for once. I was so close on helping him with his dream, or at least I was until I felt something move around in the fog" Luna explained as she looked down for a moment and shudder from remembering the cold dark experience.
"This feeling was nothing I have had ever felt like before, like I was not alone in the fog. I felt like some thing was watching me, I cant prove it yet, however I feel that something is latching on to this pony's dream" she finished feeling like a great burden was lifted off her.
This left Celestia in a state of impenetrable thought, as she analyze every bit of information that her sister gave her. "This is something we should keep an eye on, if there is something that is attracted to this specific pony. Then who to say that this could end up becoming something of a greater threat later on" Celestia expressed her opinion to her sister. "However for right now, perhaps you could help me?" she inquired raising an eyebrow to her sister.
"And what may be the problem?" Luna asked with light curiosity and caution, not wanting to get stuck with the nobles for two hours like last time. Celestia giggled as she motioned her sister to follow her. She then followed her sister out of the throne room and into the castle's hidden garden. "Sister, what reason did we leave to come here?" Luna inquired confused on why they had to leave the throne room.
Celestia let out a deep breath before turning to her sister, "For a change of scenery sister, I had been in the throne room a little longer than I would like. Now Luna, I would like to inform you that I will be gone next month, I am heading to Prance and Germane to discus some diplomatic treaties. I wont be able to raise the sun, nor will I be able to plan for this year's Grand Galloping Gala and I was hoping that you could run the event while I am gone next month" Celestia informed her sister leaving a slight shock on her face.
"Tia, surely there is somepony else that is capable of handling the responsibility of planning the Gala. I know I made it clear that I wanted to do more for Equestria, but I'm not ready for such a task" Luna replied looking frantic.
"Well, I suppose I could give the task to Blueblood" Celestia suggested rubbing her chin with her fore hoof.
"Sister, are you sure you want to give the task to Blueblood. I mean nothing against him, its just that he's a little..." Luna started before being interrupted by Celestia.
"A little rude, Luna?" Celestia inquired with a smirk.
"I was going to say something more like uncouth, but that works too" Luna replied getting a little chuckle from her sister. "That does bring up the question, why do you purpose him to plan and run the Gala sister?" Luna inquired not sure what good could come from him.
"Well as I do agree he is impolite at times, he means well none the less. Consider this as a test to see if he is capable of doing tasks for Equestria. If everything goes correctly then we can count on him being officially in charge of planning and running the Gala by himself" Celestia explained her clever plan.
"Well I think It wouldn't be a bad idea sister, and I guess I could lend him a hoof if he needs one" Luna stated as she and her sister left the garden to return back inside. "Well sister, I guess it is time for us to part ways. I will see you later, and thank you for your time" Luna stated as she hugged her sister and turned to leave.
"Oh before you go Lulu, there is something I forgot to mention" Celestia replied getting her sister's attention. "I schedule you to meet with the nobles later to listen to their problems, farewell sister" she said with a smirk before trotting off quickly, before her sister could complain.
Two hours later
Luna sat upon the throne deep in thought on how she was going to get back at her sister, for ditching the nobles on her. She thought about it all night, even as the nobles complained about their problems and suggested how the Princesses could solve it.
After some time and after the nobles, left everything grew silent as night engulfed all of Equestria; sending all but a few to sleep. There Luna focused watching over her kingdom through their dreams, hunting for nightmares that haunt her citizens. All while keeping an eye out for the mysterious pony's, weird dream hoping to find the answer on what had latched onto the pony's dreams
It had been two days since I had reunited with Fluttershy. Everything is going well, except for when I slipped on Fluttershy's pet bear's slobber that made me fall crashing into a family of porcupines. Fluttershy had to remove the needles that covered my entire back and boy did it hurt like hell on earth. I helped Fluttershy afterwards with her chores while she was busy with other tasks or duties.
Luckily for me she didn't know that I was helping her, she was either too busy and forgot about them or she thought she had already done them. Yeah she would probably guess I was above the average human on this world or blow my cover if she caught me cleaning, or at least that's what this book says. Fluttershy had brought home one of the books about humans and how they normal behave, from Twilight's castle. Apparently humans are unable to do home chores or at least never were able to finish the chore they are given.
From this book I learned that humans are hardly used for anything other than pets or food. Apparently humans are still considered as food in this world to most animals. Mainly to wild animals and two other groups of sentient species. To be honest I was not surprised that there's Griffins and Dragons in this world, cause well... just look at what I found already.
I am currently in the living room right now waiting for Fluttershy to leave to go be with her friends for their picnic. My plan is to leave the house when she leaves, and begin exploring this 'Everfree' which is suppose to be very dangerous. Even though it looks like a normal forest to me, but then again I look like an normal human to them.
Fluttershy entered the room with grasping the basket tightly in her muzzle. "Bi Ciler ime oft two te pcnc now" she informed right before leaving. I quickly got up and walked over to the window watching her till she was no longer visible. I then turn to Angel and nodded. I recently learned that he was quite intelligent for an animal just by watching his actions. I gestured him to follow me into the my room, where I showed him my stash of his favorite type of food.
He looked up and gave me an expression of curiosity. I pointed at him then place a finger over my lips, then I pointed at myself right before I pointed out the window. It took a moment but he nodded in agreement, giving me his word to not inform Fluttershy. With that done I leave to my journey through the Everfree forest.
To be honest I have no idea what to expect, if this place is as dangerous as these ponies say then I wonder what could make them think that. Truth be told I know nothing about this forest the only one I remember was...
France, December 12th
I was running deep in a war turned forest where most of the trees had died off due to artillery that had significantly destroyed and burnt them to a crisp. The further I went into the forest the more carnage I witnessed, dozens of soldiers lay lifeless due to many unspeakable causes. The lucky ones died quickly, that goes for the Germans as well. I looked back for a second to see if my mates made it thus far with me.
I saw a sad sight indeed, only one of my pals Charles. Charles held a happy smile on his face as he raced with me to the enemy's front line. I turned to my right to see my good friend Simon running beside me, he had that fearful look in his eyes. I looked forward into the light where we were finally leaving the forest and entering an open field.
Yeah, I think its best not to continue... damn it. Looking around my surroundings I found myself in the Everfree forest, I must have walked into it while I was having those flash backs. Or perhaps I was running? I am pretty tired and my legs are a bit sore too. I looked up to the sky to see how long I was reliving my past. Luckily for me it was perhaps less than a few minuets till noon. Well... better continue anyway now that I am here.
Walking in this place reminds me a lot like the other forest or at least what it should of have been before the war. Dense sometimes and thin at other times, however some of these plants don't look like they could have lived back home on Earth. Like theses patches of this weird glowing blue flower, from my knowledge there is no such thing.
Clearing through a brush I found myself at a river, with no way to cross it. If I was able to find some way across it would be perfect, but that will have to be delayed for now. I have to make it back towards Fluttershy's cottage, I still had time till she would most likely leave her friends and return home. However I wanted to explore the area around town more by using the edge of the forest to mask myself.
If I ever needed a place to hide this forest would do, the ponies are afraid of it and the most of the trees hid the floor from sunlight keeping any pegasi from looking down at the ground. Not to mention that it would be easy to build a shelter with the supplies that the forest supplies. Suddenly there was a loud snap echoing off from the trees. Quickly turning to my left where I heard the snapping noise, I readied myself for what might come out by picking up a nearby stick.
Two glowing orange eyes peered at me from a distance, giving me a chill across my spine. The two more sets of eyes appeared from behind it, meaning I was out numbered three to one. I don't like the odds and I don't think that the stick would help really so... Quickly I begin running not looking back not even for a second, I don't want to end up animal food for anything in this world.
Pain shot up my legs as I continued to run and jump past obstacles. I was pushing myself to my limit, I would have to stop soon. When I do chances are what ever I am running from will catch up with me. I stopped just in time as a large wooden like creature jumped up at me, its claws nearly missing my chest.
Out of reaction I swung it, having it collide with the beast's head, breaking the stick into two. Well... dammit, I see why the ponies don't like the Everfree now. Quickly looking over it I noticed that the beast's body was made of wood, leaves and other plant like objects that somehow kept it together. How it was alive was beyond me, there was no escape from this beast or at least for now that is. I will just have to fight it and hope to eliminate it before it's two friends arrive.
The beast growled before pounced at me, I quickly evaded and countered with a kick to the muzzle. It was dazed for a second but then swiped at me after it recovered. I did my best to stay away from its claws, however it got a good scratch on my right arm. Reaching for a nearby rock I grasp it and bashed its skull, which caved in leaving the beast dead. Glaring at the dead creature my curiosity wandered to many things.
Like how did this creature move properly, why did it attack me, could it even consume food and what could've made such a creature that broke laws of nature like so? Amazed of this creature I was, it's existence would have been thought impossible back home. However this will have to wait I need to get back to the cottage so I can treat my wound. If I'm lucky I can hide it from Fluttershy afterwards.
Once I returned I went into the kitchen and searched for the first aid kit, thankfully I didn't have to search for too long. Wrapping the wound with a bandage I then proceeded to the living room to read a book while I wait for Fluttershy to return home. Most of Fluttershy's books were informational on animals or were short fairy tales for little children, which made me wonder why she had them in the first place.
I had just put the book back on the shelf when Fluttershy returned an hour later. She came home with a cheery smile and said hello to every animal and me. "I see you have been a good boy, while I was gone" she said towards me. You have not a clue, and I hope it will stay that way.
Yawning, I rose from my bed stretching and enjoying the silence that filled the cottage this morning. Turning to the window, I look outside watching the sunrise. However only one thought came to mind, when I saw it. That Fluttershy was still asleep and that I must have gotten up early for once.
I pulled the covers off and crept out of my bed down the hall to Fluttershy's bedroom, to see if she indeed was asleep. As I walked down there I happen to notice that it was actually completely silent and which stood out for me, because during my stay here I notice that there was at least some kind of noise made by the animals. However there was nothing which gave me an eerie feeling, I cant really explain the feeling honestly.
As I got closer to the door, I began to notice the sudden drop of temperature in the hallway. When I reached for the door, I realized that it was already left ajar. Pushing the door gently, it revealed to me a stunning surprise. Fluttershy's bedroom was void of anything living, like she had woke up and made her bed like she did every morning before waking up me or any of the other residents of the cottage.
Suddenly I heard a giggle that was similar to Fluttershy's that came from down stairs. I then slowly began to crept to the stairs case and begin my decent downwards to investigate the source of the laughter. Once I first caught sight of living room I knew something wasn't right. Where were all the animals that lived in here, everything seemed right except there was no sign of anything living; not even a hint of noise.
Then I finally heard Fluttershy in the kitchen, however her voice sounded like she was in pain. Entering the kitchen I found her laying on the floor her back facing me. She was weeping or at least that's what it sounds like, I should see if she's is okay. Immediately after taking my first step her head spun around causing me to jump back.
Her face was disfigured, similar to that of those things in that dream I had a while ago. So, I must be in some sort of nightmare again, yeah that's right a nightmare. My thought was quickly cut off when the nightmare screeched, followed by it melting and transforming into a disfigured woman. She reached out to me, as all I could do was fear it. "Wh...did...ou...s...v..us...oma..." it growled finally before luging at me and began tearing into my flesh.
It was stronger than me, stronger than anything I had ever seen or heard of. The more I fought back the stronger it became, the face started to melt again. The black liquid burned as it touched me, slowly I noticed that I was no longer being torn apart and that the monster had melted on top of me encasing my body in a black substance.
Then the whole room went black. I blinked once to find myself once more alone, however this time in a massive room filled with the nightmare figures. They pointed at me and whispered in unison an unheard whisper to each other, as the they started to slowly walk towards me. They had me surrounded and significantly out numbered, like a million to one if not more. This is just a dream, just a dream none of this is real. Then one of them reached out to me, the only one thing I could do was let it win.
I quickly awoke to find myself strike a glass of water, that Fluttershy was carrying on a tray. Having it burst when my hand collided with it. The collision sent glass everywhere, into the flesh of my hand and to Fluttershy. I retracted my arm back in pain, as I watched Fluttershy fall to the floor. Realizing what I had done I quickly got out of bed and rushed to her aid.
She watched me move with a fearful eyes. I kneed down and inspected her for injury as she trembled in fear of me. She wasn't hurt except for a cut that was on her right cheek. I grabbed a hold of her and hugged her close, thanking god that I didn't harm her any more than cutting her on the cheek. It hurt my heart when I saw the injury that I had caused her, she has been so nice to me.
After what felt like forever let go, staring into her now calm and let still hesitant eyes. Then the small trail of blood that was running away down her cheek caught my eye. Using my finger I wiped the blood away, despite it retuning a few seconds later. It was within this time frame Fluttershy snapped out of her state of shock and noticed my injury. "O-oh my Celestia, Silver your arm. Come with me we need to get the glass out" she yelled, taking ahold of my good hand with her hoof and lead me downstairs to her kitchen.
After some minuets of me crying in pain, Fluttershy finally pulled the last glass shard from my flesh and began bandaging my arm. "Done, now you have some explaining to do mister" she said with a serious face. Okay, someone's acting out of character. She stared at me and began her lecture about being careful. She reminded me like someone I think, however I don't remember who she was.
Then all of a sudden Fluttershy's face was replaced with a human woman's face, she had green kind eyes like Fluttershy and her hair was a rich brown. Her name still escapes my mind, but Fluttershy in a way has a certain appeal that is similar to this woman. If only I could only remember the name. The vision faded back to Fluttershy and she was still giving me her lecture.
My eyes fell upon her cheek which was still left in treated. I reached for one of the bandages, and tried to apply it to her face. Fluttershy saw this however and ceased speaking, watching my hand's every move. The look on her face was that of astonishment, knowing from what I read she's probably trying to make sense of me knowing how to apply a bandage.
Then a thought came across my mind. What if I were to prove to her of my complete intelligence, would the nation or the world end? A human being intelligent on this world is compatible to that of a koala bear being sentient. Am I really making the right choice, by staying quite about my sentience?
Then again if one of Light's theories were correct, than it could be a risk for my safety. However from what I could tell, the ponies are very peaceful. Not to mention if I limited the knowledge only to Fluttershy, no how would I keep her from telling anyone. She might tell someone and she might be sent to a ward. However right now it can wait, till the time I really need to tell her.
Fluttershy still is in a complex daze, I should shake her out of it. I patted her head waking her out of the daze, and bringing her back to life. "Um, thank you Silver" she replied unsure of how to respond. I stood up and left the kitchen entering the living room, since I'm injured I wont be able to read anymore of the books. Meaning I have nothing to do for the day or anytime soon till my hand heals and since Fluttershy doesn't have any plans today, I cant explore more of the Everfree.
Just as I sat down on the couch, someone knocked at the front door. "Oh my, just a sec" Fluttershy cried out from the kitchen. She flew out of the kitchen and landed in front of the door. Opening it to reveal Princess Twilight and her lizard servant Spike by her side.
Twilight's POV
"Are you sure?" questioned Spike as I knocked on the front door. Followed by a muffled reply from with in the cottage.
"Yes, Spike. I need to speak with Fluttershy about it first" I explained as Fluttershy opened the door. Immediately I notice the bandage that covered her cheek. "Fluttershy are you okay, what happen?" I inquired of my friend. Then my eyes drifted to the human in the room and a thought came across my mind 'Silver'.
"Oh, its okay Twilight. I accidently startled Silver and he swiped at me, however he end up hurting himself more" she explained as she pointed to his right hand that was bandaged. "He's sorry for striking at me earlier, he even put this bandage on me to show that he wanted me to feel better" she informed me with a kind smile.
"Oh, okay then. Um, where was I?" I asked myself recalling the reason why I came by.
"You wanted to talk with her about Silver, and how to properly take care of him for this weekend" Spike reminded me.
Fluttershy's eyes widen and she gasped in what could be described as horror. "I completely forgot that I asked you to watch Silver, while I'm away at for my family reunion this weekend" she claimed, as Silver tilted his head as he gazed upon us.
"No problem Fluttershy, I just wanted a list of how I should take care of him while you're gone" I replied smiling, as I bring out my notepad and my quill. "Okay, so where do we begin?"
Luckily for me I got to enjoy one more day before Twilight came for me. Fluttershy wished me goodbye when she left, not knowing that leaving me with Twilight; she was also handing me over to my arch-enemy. She may not be a real enemy, but she is the closest thing I have to one. Her and her magic makes my life harder. It would be one thing if I was left alone at the cottage, cause I wouldn't have to worry about anyone finding out my sapience.
However now that I am here, I highly doubt that I will be able to do many of the same things that I once did at Fluttershy's. Like reading a book or exploring the area. I would have to keep my eyes and ears out for Spike and Twilight, while I stay here this weekend if I attempt to read a book.
Currently I am stuck with Spike in the library, watching him reorganize the books in some sort of complex order. Some of these books have interesting titles that catches my interest. Like this one book that is in one of the many unorganized stacks, in which the name was 'The History of Equestria and the Union of the Five nations'. This book stood out to me due to its unique name, that and it could shed some light onto the world or at least give me some knowledge about other nations.
All I need is something to distract Spike so I can obtain it, then all I need to do would be to find a safe place to read it at. "Okay, I'm taking a break" informed Spike as he climbed down the ladder and exited the room, leaving me alone. Wow that's just wow, perfect timing must I say. I looked around for a moment to make sure the coast was clear, afterwards I snuck over to the pile and removed the book from the stack.
A smile grew on my face, as I read a little of the introduction.
The History of Equestria and the union of the Five nations, These are recorded past events that had happened a little over a thousand years ago and before rise of the two sisters. This book is based on the research of the few scrolls and tablets that have been discovered, along as the archeological digs and their findings. In this book we will lay down the facts about the history of the long forgotten Pony Empire, and go in depth of its downfall.
Wow, now this is something. This could give me some insight on this world and its inhabitants, if anything tell me more about the nations of this world. Yet, first I need a place to safe enough to read. Then I heard a gasp quickly turning to Twilight. "Were you reading?" she inquired causing me to let go of the book in shock.
Twilight POV
I was in the map room reading through some spell books, desperately trying to find a spell to remove Silver's mask as a surprise for Fluttershy when she returned home. However nothing in these books gave me an option other than using the same spell I used last time, which sent him away for a day. I have just one more page and I am determine to see what it might tell me.
Suddenly my eyes grew in horror, the last page was ripped out from the book. Celestia knows what information it could've shared on removing the mask. Sighing I got up from my throne and left the room, heading to the library. "At least Spike is organizing the books like I asked him to, hopefully Silver messing with his process.
I opened the door with my magic entering the room, and my eyes grew in shock and curiosity. Silver had opened the book and had his finger moving across the paper from side to side. I couldn't hold the shock in myself any longer I gasped, alerting Silver to my presence. He immediately turned to face me, his body expression showed he was surprised to see me.
Without thinking I opened my mouth and asked a question, "Were you reading?" which caused him to drop the book and freeze in place. My mind couldn't process what my eyes had shown. A human is incapable of reading, let alone incapable of a high thinking that wasn't instincts. I have to study this at once! Even if my research proves nothing of value or new, the possibility of him being somewhat aware of his surroundings is too important to science. I wrapped him with my magic levitating him close to me, along with the book as evidence and headed to one of the rooms in the back of the castle.
As I opened the door to the room, Silver showed some aggression from within the bubble that I had encased him in. "Hold still Silver, I just want to run some basic tests" I said as I lit the room with my magic. The room lit up causing Silver to stop struggling under my magic, however it didn't last long. If he was intelligent it would be because of the devise that was in the room. I strapped him into the machine, with the restraints as I attached the brain monitor onto his skull.
I took a step back and marveled in my doing, it seems like yesterday I had just used it on Pinkie to study her 'Pinkie sense'. "Now don't worry Silver, you will be right out once the machine test you for any abnormal brain waves for a human" I expressed to the quivering human. I pulled the switch activating the machine.
The machine whizzed and whirled, as it scanned for any abnormalities in the brain. It did so for an hour till, the machine let out a ringing noise followed by the lights going out. The machine then began printing out the results from the test. I giggled with glee as I grasp the results in my hooves.
When my eyes fell upon the results part of me was let down, honestly I really thought that he was different than the other humans for a second. However the test results showed that he was just average if not slightly above average. "Wow, I guess the joke is on me; making me look crazy and obsess with science or something, heh. Sorry Silver it seems you are just normal after all" I said, feeling terrible that I had tested on him. I detached the suction cups and undone the restraints. "Come now, yet me make it up to" I beckoned as he rubbed his wrist.
Thomas: POV
Damn she had the restraints pulled to tightly, I almost lost all circulation to my hands. "Come now, yet me make it up to" twilight informed as she left me to recover, with the book I had with her. You better or I swear.
As I began to leave my curiosity got to me. I just had to know what exactly was the results, that made me 'normal'. In a hurry I snatch the paper and scanned through the numbers and words. I didn't make any sense from the results, so I tossed them back and inspected the machine for a second.
Inspecting the machine a smile was brought to my face when, I noticed where one of the nobs was turned to. Average huh?, well I guess so I was a pony. Twilight forgot to switch the devise from pony to human, that was indeed a close one. Now for that payment you implied Princess Twilight my nemesis.
Walking out into the hallway, I was met with an interesting sight. Twilight was having a discussion with another pony, who I could only assume was Starlight; Princess Twilight's maid or something around like that. Starlight's gaze turned to me and she raised her hoof to point at me "Oh, so is that the human?" Starlight inquired.
Twilight turned her head to me "Yes that's Silver, which reminds me I need to go get him a little reward for being such a good boy" Twilight said like I was a puppy.
"Well if you don't mind I could give him a treat for you" Starlight offered. What is this treat they keep on mentioning, is it like a dog biscuit or something? If so I think I will pass on the offer then.
"You don't have to do that" Twilight said with a friendly smile. Sure and letting your crazy princess do it, is okay too.
"No its fine really, I haven't interacted with a human since I was a filly. Besides I think it could be a great way to practice my friendship, also I could use a break from cleaning the castle" she replied with an innocent smile.
"Well if you say so, this does give me time to check on Spike's progress with sorting the new books with the old ones" Twilight said with slight hint of relief.
As soon as Twilight left, Starlight beckoned me to follower her. It wasn't long till she led me to what seemed to be the kitchen. She then proceeded to bring out a leg of ham from the fridge. Meat was very tempting especially when your only source of protein was in nuts and other various foods.
"Here you go boy" she said dropping it to the floor in front of me. Suddenly reality hits me, humans on this world eat their meat raw. "Well don't be shy, dig in" she said convinced that I was going to eat that raw. Then a thought came back to mind, that I should expose my intelligence to her. "Oh, I see you're one of those humans who prefer to eat away from sights of others. I'll be back in a few minuets, to check up on you" she said with a slight chuckle in her voice.
Okay, time to get rid of this meat. I grasped it and walked over to one of the glass windows pushing it open and dropping it outside into the bush. There problem solved, now what am I going to do? Should I tell them of my sentience or not, dammit where are you when I need you Light?
I awoke to find myself laying up against a tree on a hill overlooking wheat fields. I began to look around franticly trying to figure out how I got here, before I took another look at myself. My clothes were different which meant I was in another memory, they were common clothes, and not soldiers which made me smile as I found myself in a dream before the war or perhaps after it?
"THOMAS!" a young feminine voice called out to me in the distance. I pulled myself off from the ground and stretched popping my back a few times. I looked out in the distance to see a young woman making her way towards me from my house. I waited for her to get close to me before I respond. She wore a dress that matched the beauty of her vibrant caring green eyes. Her hair was a rich brown, and she was carrying a baby with her.
"Thomas, there is some gentlemen from the military looking for you" she announced before giving me a kiss. Her name was Abigale Wanedon, my wife.
"I'll go see what they want, you and princess here head back inside its quite chilly today" I told her as I kissed her forehead and looked down at my child. I then escorted my wife and my child down the hill back to the house before I met with the three Soldiers.
As I walked closer a mist covered the scene turning my surroundings a hellish yellow color. I looked at myself once more finding myself back in my combat uniform. I reached for my face feeling not my face but the gas mask that was protecting me from the toxic gas. There was a flash followed by thunder in the distance followed by the sound of explosions close by.
Then another dozen more flashes of light lit up the yellow cloud, followed by the sound of eleven nearby explosions. My eyes widen when I heard the sound of whistling coming from the sky. I knew death was coming, and will soon be upon me. In front of me the shell exploded sending shrapnel penetrating into me body causing me to fall on my back. I felt my blood seep out of my chest and spill onto the ground.
After a few moments in pain, I started to feel colder and everything was going darker. Despite me knowing that this was a memory I couldn't help but be afraid of dying out here all alone. My right arm reached out to the sun that hid behind the yellow gas, and I opened my mouth crying out to god to save me as everything went dark.
I opened my eyes slowly as I returned from unconsciousness, I was surrounded in a half day and half night world. However what really stood out in this memory was the roses in the light, they were all white and gave off a bright glow. Slowly but surely one or two would fade away causing the area to further go into the night's embrace. "Where am I?" I asked myself, not sure what was happening.
"You're safe Thomas, my dear silver rose" a heavenly feminine voice spoke as a gentle breeze passed me from the day part of the world. I looked around trying to find the source of the voice. "Thomas I have been watching you ever since you time began, and I always hoped you made it here. I have a prize for you" the voice explained as the night grew and the roses began shriveling up and blew away with the wind.
"What prize and how did I get here I was on the battlefield how did I get here?" I asked the voice. I'm starting to get some Deja vu here, like I was talking to Light.
"My poor silver rose, it ails me to tell you that your old body didn't last for you. Yes, it means that you are no longer among the living. However I am offering you a prize that is if you accept" she began just as another ten roses faded away. "The prize is that I will mend your body back together, as long as you do something for me" the voice said as a figure of a woman made of light emerged out of the air.
"As you can see the roses are dying every second, to be correct they are being murdered by humanity and its 'Great war'. I want you to be my vassal, a servant as you may call it. I need you to help me save these roses, for if they are all gone than there will be no world for you, your family or the rest of humanity" the woman explained gesturing to the roses as more fade away.
"What do I do?, what are the roses?" I questioned, still baffled by the scenario.
"My dear sliver rose, you must bring humanity to peace. End the sin that humanity has stained the world with. For each rose represents a person of peace that the world has. Once the last rose fades away, there will be no real peace for humanity ever again. Now I am busy, go wake up now" she said.
I awoke once more onto the battle field right as a German soldier walked over to me. I jerked back in fear, as he aimed at me. However someone else a superior officer perhaps, yelled at him to stop. They argued for a few minuets before, they picked me up and told to me move. Heading towards their side of the battlefield.
As I slowly walked at gun point, I notice even more Germans were marching back towards British lines. This told me that they had pushed through our lines and have moved up at least four miles. Meaning I was behind enemy lines already and that I was a prisoner of war now.
Reality returned to me when Starlight entered the room. "I see that you ate it all, good boy. Now come on Twilight wants to see you again" she stated with a amused smile on her face.
Thomas had followed shortly behind Starlight out of the kitchen and down the crystal hallway to a new door. Pushing it open starlight led him into the room, where it seemed to be a pool or some sort of bathing area. His head tilted in confusion from the sight that he was facing, before he was suddenly encased in Twilight's magical aura once more.
'Not again' Thomas thought, as he was pulled towards Twilight. "Starlight can you get me a pair of scissors please, I need them to remove Silver's clothing for his bath" Twilight inquired her friend, who was in the doorway just about to leave.
"Sure thing" Starlight replied with a peaceful smile before she left the room. 'I don't need anyone to bathe me, I'm a grown man' Thomas thought, as he floated there in the air thanks to Twilight. It took a moment but when Starlight returned she had brought the scissors with her.
"Thanks" Twilight said as she took the scissors out of Starlight's aura and replaced it with her own. Using the scissors she began cutting up his left sleeve, just like Rarity had done to him on his first day in Equestria. Obtaining only a little resistance from Thomas, Twilight had cut the sleeve all the way up to the neck hole. Where she then began pulling him out of his clothing, this was where she had the most trouble at.
Once she had finally removed his clothing from him, she dropped him into the pool of water and tossed his clothing into a clothes bin. Thomas jumped and wailed in pain, due to the intense heat of the bath water. Twilight grasp ahold of a bar of soap and began rubbing Thomas with the bar of soap.
Thomas sat there annoyed, as Twilight cleaned him by rubbing soap on his body and then washing the soap away with a bucket. 'How degrading, this truly is to be forcefully cleaned and by Twilight none the less' Thomas thought to himself, as Twilight finished rubbing him down with soap for a fifth time. "There, now after I'm done, I'll dry you off with a towel" Twilight informed, as she dipped the bucket into the once hot, but now warm water. Bringing it out she brought it over Thomas's head and poured it down onto his body, washing away the last of the soap suds from his body.
"Okay time to dry off" Twilight claim, as she pulled Thomas out of the water with her magic. She dropped him onto his feet, as she used the her magic to move a towel out from a nearby cabinet. She then began drying him off, unknowingly to her she was doing it a little rough than she should have.
After she dried Thomas off, Starlight returned from cleaning his clothes and adapting a few things to it. One of those things was a zipper at the back to remove his clothing easier for when Fluttershy has to give him a bath. Starlight used her magic to pick up Thomas and slip his clothes on him zipping him up. "There now you smell a lot better" Twilight remarked, unable to see Thomas's stern face from underneath his mask.
"Now with that done, you can accompany me into town. I have a te... surprise in store for you" Twilight said, making Thomas raise and eyebrow of skepticism towards her comment. Twilight then summoned a collar and a leash around his neck, and then began dragging him out of the room.
Fluttershy's parent's house
Fluttershy was having a nice time with her family at the reunion. She and her family were gathered around eating together at the dining room table, trying to catch up on each other's life since the last time they met. She learned that her mother and father was planning a trip around Equestria, to visit famous sites and enjoy the natural beauty of Equestria. Her brother, Sea breeze was enjoying telling all about his new apartment and the small store he had opened up.
"... and now I'm planning to hire an assistant to help me manage the mane salon, to cut down on the waiting time and get more customers" Sea breeze exclaimed, happily receiving smiles from his family.
"Well that's great son, so Fluttershy what's new down in Ponyvile?" her father asked, both interested and wanting to change the attention to his daughter. Fluttershy finished chewing what was left in her mouth before speaking.
"Oh, um... I recently got a pet human, his name is Silver" Fluttershy expressed with a warm smile, resting on her muzzle. Upon hearing this the family was intrigued. Obviously because most pegasi of Cloudsdale, never seen one before. Not to mention that humans can't fly, so they're not suitable pets there.
"Oh, is this Silver of yours behaving calmly?" asked her mother, with worry in her eyes. Most pegasi from Cloudsdale believe humans, were very aggressive and could be easily set off by the slightest thing.
"Oh, yes he is the calmest of all that I have seen. However he did try to hit me the other day, which I feel is partially my fault since I did surprised him" Fluttershy explained, remembering what happen that day. Still trying to figure out something that Silver had done, changed her view on humans or at least Silver.
"Well I for one would love to meet him, who knows I might give him a haircut" Seabreeze cut in, causing their mother to roll her eyes. "Well that is if its fine with you sis" Sebreeze continued, making puppy dog eyes to his sister.
"Well um, you cant because of his current situation at hoof. He has a enchanted mask, that makes it impossible to remove. We tried many times already to remove it from him, even Twilight can't undo the spell. She got as far as teleporting the mask away, but that took Silver along with it" Fluttershy explained, remembering how Twilight's spell sent Silver into the future and at the same time teleporting him just over the lake luckily.
"Well that is a pickle, I hope you can find somepony that can remove it dear" her father expressed, taking another bite of his meal.
There was a continued silence in the room, for a short while before her grandfather continued the conversation. "Well, I remember back in my day. We had humans enlisted into the guard to find the criminal 'horn-heads' as we called them, that were using magic to disguise themselves. Humans have a knack for spotting magic that changes ones looks, anyways those humans had their heads encased with helmets to make them look more fierce. I think that your Silver might be one of those humans" her grandfather, claimed as he recalled his old guard days looking for criminal unicorns. Everypony wore disbelief on their muzzles, all except for Fluttershy; who thought it might be plausible.
Ponyvile
Thomas POV
Twilight led me outside of town, a little further than Fluttershy's cottage to an apple farm. There were rows upon rows of apple trees, with a big red and white barn and a nice sweet farm house next to it. Then I caught glimpse of a few humans inside of the barn, as we approached.
Applejack had just came out of the barn with an empty bucket. Upon seeing us she puts the bucket down, and greets Twilight, "Howdy Twi, Silver. So ah' see that ya' made it, y'all ready?" Applejack inquired, with a smile across her muzzle. 'I have a bad feeling that I'm not going to like this surprise, am I?'
"Lead the way" Twilight said, as she followed Applejack into the barn. It was unnerving to see what was in there, on both sides of the barn were six feet by six foot cages with humans stored in them. On one side of the barn there were females the other cages were males. These humans were around the age of ten through eighteen, which reminded that humans here are and I quote short-lived. That meant they don't live to their forties only early twenties and if you're lucky mid twenties.
All the males instantly began growling and snarling at me as soon as they spotted me, they were territorial. Then again all of mankind are when it comes down to it. The females however took an interest in me, like that of a dog and a brand new bone. Lets just say I didn't feel comfortable here and I wanted out anyway possible.
Applejack lead Twilight and me to an empty larger part of the barn to some type of room. There were nothing in here except for some straw that littered the floor providing some cushion for my feet. Twilight removed the collar and closed door leaving me inside the room. 'What are you up to, Twilight?'
After waiting a moment the other door from across the room, opened to reveal one of the female humans, about the age of eighteen. She from what I notice she was staring at me with some instinctive questionable glances. She took a few steps closer towards me, before stopping and relooking me over.
She reached out her hand showing me her palm, at first I was confused by this gesture. Then it hit me this was the human symbol for finding a mate. That two individuals would place their hands together and if they both clutched their palms they would... attempt procreation.
Flattered but I'm married, or at least that's what I remember. However I had to do the instinctive symbol and just not clutch her hand. I placed my palm up against hers, which felt kind of tingly. As I look into her eyes, I noticed they widen and was focusing on our hands. That was when I felt her remove her hand, as she looked up at me in fear. She fell back and quickly dashed towards the exit.
It was like she had seen a ghost or God himself. However it doesn't explain why she didn't finish the mating process, which didn't bother me really; unless this means I'm ugly or something. "Aww... I was hoping to see if they would make a foal" Applejack claimed, from the catwalk above the room with Twilight. 'They were watching me the whole time, talk about perverted women'.
"Wanna try another one?" Twilight inquired, looking at Applejack innocently with a notepad and a quill. 'Yeah, that sounds about right. A test that Twilight had set up with Applejack, probably to get me to bred with other humans.
So I can assume that Applejack is a human breeder'. "Sure thing, first let me put Cynthia back in her cage" Applejack said before disappearing from my sight.
Just like the time with Cynthia, all the other females of Applejack's farm had the same interaction. As soon as I had made physical contact they were scared off. 'Perhaps they could tell a difference between me and their kind?' I was right about Applejack being a human breeder, however it was a small income source apparently and her apples were her family's main source of income.
So Applejack asked Twilight to bring me over to see if she could breed me with one of her humans. "Thanks for trying Surgarcube. I just don't know what caused them to act like that" Applejack tried to explain, as Twilight led me out of the barn.
"No problem... Ooh, Before I forget" Twilight said, before I stopped paying attention to the both of them and started focusing on the human females. They were acting differently than when I first arrive. They seemed more interesting towards their hands and even objects inside their cages.
'Its like they're babies aware of their surroundings for the first time in their life. No what am I saying, this must be normal behavior for the humans on this world. Then again how would I know, I haven't been around humans really' Suddenly I felt a tug from my collar, causing me to follow Twilight back to town.
The rest of the afternoon was a normal day for me, Twilight had to help Starlight with one of her friendship lessons. Which she had made Spike watch over me. Luckily for me that meant he was going to read one of his comics and eat gems. Which gave me plenty of time to learn about Equestrian History and the Union of five.
On what I presume is Sunday, I continued reading the book till Starlight took me out for a walk around the neighborhood. I got to meet many new ponies during the walk, one of which was a show pony as they called it, named Trixie. She is apparently a friend of Starlight. She has some bad relations with other citizens in Ponyvile however, I wonder why... it can wait for another day.
After the walk I returned to Twilight's castle to find Fluttershy waiting there for me. She greeted me with a hug, and took me back to her cottage.

An eerie silence fills the air of the gray sparkling night sky, that covered the cold lifeless mist that blanked the unknown surface. Where two beings were duking it out against each other, one by one they would shoot out powerful bursts of energy. While both trying to doge the others.
One was a being dressed in a black with only his crimson face and his crimson hands standing out. His face was a red melted like version of a human face, with a blood red liquid flowing out of where his eyes would be and floated away; like it was in the emptiness of space. He wore a twisted smile across his face and when he shot at the other, he would release strait forward a raged filled blast.
The other was one that wore the mask of mystery, as it's face was covered by silver light that illuminated his surroundings. His silver hands released a similar beam, however it was moved at a slower pace and didn't move in a strait line. Instead it moved like liquid, flowing towards it's target before being blasted by the red man.
"So... tell me Light, do you honestly think you can win? That somehow you would be able to prevent me from finishing what I started, all those years ago?" the red faced man growled, as he send forward his beams of rage. Light leaned to his right and with tilting his head barely dogging the attack, before returning fire.
The red faced man leaped upwards and began floating as the slow, yet liquid like attack followed him closely till they were blasted by the red faced man. "Honestly I thought you would say something by now we've been at this for how long now and you haven't made a comeback. You're not trying to ignore me now are you?" he inquired, sending another blast towards him.
This time however Light didn't try to dodge the blast instead he reached out and took hold of the beam of rage and turned it around sending it back towards the other. Who fired another blast from his hand, which on impact made an explosion making both opponents to stop I their tracks."Your reasoning is flawed and irrational. I am the stronger one here, Crimson. You will not finish what you have started back on earth, I'll see to that" Light said in his calm, yet demanding tone.
Crimson put a hand to his face and began chuckling to himself. "Do you honestly believe that?" Crmison asked with a deformed smile. Light stood there not quite sure what he meant, nor how to respond. "Ha you do, wow. This is just to good to be true, honestly I thought you would see it by now" he said as suddenly a crimson chain wrapped around Light's left wrist.
Light tried to blast the chains off of him, however he was not able to do so. Then out from the mist more chains started grasping their hold around Light, restraining every inch of his movement. Light was for the first time since he could remember unable to free himself from Crimsons control. "Let me guess, how?" Crimson inquired before chuckling to himself.
"It's easy really, its like you said. As Thomas remembers more of his past the stronger the both of us become and I get stronger first. All I have to do now is wait for him to remember one more thing and then I'm in charge. Oh, don't worry. I'll end the worm once I have complete control, just so I don't have to worry about you coming back. Then... well you can guess what, I'll do to the humans next and as for these other sentient beings; I guess they can share the same fate" Crimson explained, clinching his hand into a fist.
"I will stop you, that I know" Light spat back, as his silver light around his face started to fade away. Crimson laughs walking away from Light, as he disappears from within the mist.
Just Outside of Fluttershy's cottage
It has been a month now and Fluttershy and her friends has been planning something called 'the Grand Galloping Gala'. Probably some party at this Canterlot, not sure if it is a city or a building. Then again I don't care, or should I say I don't feel too good to care. Lately I've been feeling off, its not just me who noticed this even Fluttershy sees it.
Part of me believes that, I've gone mad and that everything I see and hear is part of my shattered mind. It doesn't help that Light hasn't returned since, when he helped me return to Fluttershy. However I made up my mind, I'm telling Fluttershy about me assuming I can put my words in order. A week ago my voice returned however, I could only practice when Fluttershy was away and when she was sleeping.
"Silver are you ready for dinner?" Fluttershy asked, setting up plates. This is my chance to tell her, to no longer hide my true self.
"Y-yes, Fluttershy" the words escaped my mouth, causing her to stiffen and turn to face me; with her face wanting to now what she heard was right. "I'm ready, Fluttershy"
{Smash} 'Oh boy she dropped the plates and fainted, this wont end well'
Slowly but surely, I opened my eyes. Awakening from the darkness that had overcome me, to find Silver leaning over me. I looked around to notice that I wasn't in my bedroom, but instead the kitchen. 'Did I blackout again?, if so what caused me to blackout?'
"Are you alright Fluttershy?" a stallion with a Trottingham accent asked.
"Y-yes I'm alright, wait who said that?" I inquired, looking around trying to find the source of the voice. Silver pushed up his mask to his nose.
"I did and we need to talk" he replied, causing my heart to beat rapidly as I stared at his face. I couldn't help but scream and jump to the top of a shelf. 'Everypony willfully knows that humans can't talk, am I sick or perhaps dreaming?'
"S-silver, h-how is this p-possible? I mean h-humans can't talk... c-can they?" I inquired, trying to make sense of this terrifying circumstance that may or may not be real. Silver walked over to the couch and sat down, as he beckoned me to sit.
"Where do I begin?, oh I know. Well, My name is Thomas. Thomas Wanedon the second, and I'm not from your world" Silver or Thomas explained, making it harder for me to defuse the situation at hoof.
 He must have been staring at my face and saw how difficult I was taking this information in. "Well you see to better explain it, I'm from a world where humans are the only intelligent species; while your world humans are as intelligent as dog. Now I want to answer any questions you may have about me or my world, because you're the only one in this world that can I truly trust" he informed, rubbing the back of his neck. 'Only pony he trust, me?'
"W-well, I do want to know why you didn't say anything sooner" I asked, feeling a bit better than I was earlier. The a thought occurred to me. 'Why didn't he say anything when we removed his clothes before?' the feeling of embarrassment heating up my face.
"To be honest I was terrified and confused. I had awoken in a forest on another world, not to mention I couldn't speak at the moment. I hadn't started being able to talk again till last week, if I would've I would have said something then. However part of me is still afraid that if I had talked that day I would be killed or worse" he said causing a depressing mood to fill the air. He was truthfully scared for some reason.
"Silver... I mean Thomas, what would lead you to believe that something bad would even happen to you, if we found out that your intelligent? That is if you want to talk about it" I inquired, looked up at him in worry and disbelief, that he could be afraid of a pony.
"Fluttershy, in your world my kind are like pets and food for many species. I feared being operated and tested on by some sort of group of scholars or by the government in some twisted way to learn how I speak" he claimed, making me immediately think of Twilight.
"So um... you said, you're from another world where humans are the only intelligent species right?" I asked, wanting to be sure.
"Yes, that's always been so" he replied, with a smirk. It was creepy, the smirk that is. Humans aren't suppose to be able to smile due to their faces always pouting or angry.
"Well um, what was your life like back on your world; before you arrived here that is. If you don't mind me asking?" I knew he might be not feel comfortable about his life back home, that he had lost.
"Well I was a farmer and a soldier in the British army for a while. I was married for twelve years, till my wife..." he stopped leaving the room in an eerie silence for a while, before continuing "I have a brother that died in a terrible war, that also nearly took mine and my father's life. I'm aware that your nation hasn't seen a war or a battle in over a thousand years, so a war is devastating word for you" he said, resting his head on his right hand.
"Oh, Thomas I'm so sorry what happen to your brother" I replied leaping towards him in a friendly hug, feeling terribly sorry that he lost his only brother. I couldn't dream of losing Sea Breeze. Even though he can be bother some at times.
Returning the hug, "Don't worry Fluttershy, that was many years ago" he cooed, trying to comfort me. "Now I must ask you something, that you may not wish to do" he stated, causing me to look up into where his eyes should be.
"W-what is that?" I asked, hoping it wasn't something terrible.
"I ask that you don't tell anyone else of my intelligence, that includes your friends. At least for now till, I feel more comfortable around them. I just don't trust other ponies yet" he explained.
"I-I believe I can do that for now" I said, receiving a smile from Thomas. I smiled as I pulled myself from our hug, then I suddenly remembered dinner. "Well since you're intelligent, then you can help me finish dinner for the rest of the animals" I said assertive, which made him tilt his head and smirk at my response.
"Sure thing" he replied, standing up from the couch and walked into the kitchen. 'I'm glad that I know Thomas is intelligent, but I don't know how long I can keep that secret from the others'
Upper Canterlot
Midnight
A human was resting a large basket curled into a ball like formation. His eyes closed as he waited pretending to sleep, as his owner passed by him. He waited for what felt like hours for her to get into bed and to fall asleep. Once he heard her snoring loudly he rose and quickly snuck out of the room.
The human undid his collar as he walked down the main corridor, he snarled angrily as he tossed the collar away. He opened the door to his master's office. Where once there he reached out and took a book off the shelf, opening the book to a bookmarked page.
"Freadem" he spoke in a barely reasonable tone. "I am Freadem, I am Fread from pony" he spoke as he practice both his reading and his speaking. "I make me own name. Me name es Ingham" he cried prideful, as he continued reading through the limited books he had in the room.
He couldn't remember much of his life since a month and a half ago, when the shiny faced man had made physical contact during their fight in Ponyvile. His eyes were opened that day, he learned so much that day also. He felt more complex emotions than he had once felt. He was even more aware of his surroundings, he could understand what the ponies were saying within two weeks after contact with the shiny faced man.
Ingham recalled that this man acted different from other humans. For one he held Ingham in a holding position instead of continuing showing dominance by fighting till he was dead or crawled away. He knew something about the shiny man was not normal for humans, Ingham believed that the shiny man maybe a god to man as Celestia and Luna is for his master.
So could it mean that his god gave him sentience above all other humans for some reason? What ever it was he refused to allow the ponies to know of his new-found intelligence. He felt that is why he was stopped before he killed hi master by the shiny man. His god-king didn't want to fight ponies like that, but perhaps another way; a more secret way of fighting?
What ever it was he felt that he should learn more of this world first before finding his god king again. "Ingham is Fread from ponies l-lies. Ingham wonts freadem for all man" he spoke again, this time thinking of his fellow humans that now as dumb as he once was.
Applejack's barn
It had been an hour since Applejack and the rest of the Apple family went to bed. Cynthia looked at the men in front of her cage and nodded to him, which he nodded in agreement. They put their arms through the iron bars and lifted up the locking mechanisms. They were shortly followed by the rest of the humans in the barn.
They learned how to open their cages a week ago, when Applejack was away with her friends Rarity and Pinkie Pie. They didn't know how to read or write, since the Apple's don't have much reading material close enough for them to attempt to read or the humans couldn't find any of the Apple's reading unless it was the news paper. Which they sometimes get. Unless it was taken for a work project or it was given to a garbage pony.
Cynthia was the smartest of the group since, Applebloom talked to her more often than the rest of the humans. The other humans there still lacked any way of communicating other than with their hands or by other physical communications. However she had developed several words that she had learned from hearing Appleboom talk, yet she didn't know what they meant or how to use the words correctly.
Thomas's Pov
"Thomas I was wondering, what was life like on your world?" Fluttershy asked me before she took another bite of her salad.
"Well... depends on many things. As my memory of my life before I got here is slowly returning, I would like to say its like yours. However its very different at the same time" I said before taking a bite from my salad.
"Oh, well you said you were in the military right?, so wouldn't that mean your people were separated in different nations?" she inquired, making an exact guess.
"Yes, there is many cultures, races, religion and ideals. You could say although, we were very diverse for being the only intelligent species on the planet" I stated taking another bite of my salad.
"You said your brother and your father were in a war together... were you in the same war?" she asked, obviously trying her best to not bring up any of my unwanted memories.
"Well... My brother and my father joined the military, when our nation entered the war. I was at the time staying at the farm to help out my mother and run the farm. When my brother was shot down in France, we found out he was killed. Then my father returned home after a year in battle, he lost his leg due to a mine as his unit was ordered to pushed. By that time I wanted to join the military, along with my best friend Simon and others from my town" I explained before, taking another bite.
"Shot down?, what do you mean by that?" She asked, confused by the wording.
"Well by that year planes were made to allow humans to fly. It was used during the war to spy on enemy movements and their defenses. However his was shot down by a plane of the enemy" I replied, watching her eyes widen as I said 'humans and fly' together.
"That's amazing, what else did humans build!" She asked really fascinated in human creations. Even in here eyes I could see the sparkle of excitement and curiosity.
"Well, since we as humans lack the ability to use magic, we make up for it with our creativity. So we invented and improved on many technologies. For an example we built wagons and carriages drawn by" I stopped for a second as I realize she might be offended if I said horse "strong animals. We improved it where we no longer the animals and where it moves my just turning a wheel and putting your feet on a pedal" I explained, before taking the last bite of my salad.
"Wow a moving carriage, without anypony pulling it! Your world sounds so amazing, if only Twilight was could hear this she would amazed" she said with a laugh. Probably knowing that Twilight would act something like when Twilight almost discovered my intelligence.
"Yes, but she would probably mentally snap first" I joked, getting a soft short giggle.
"Thomas what is your worlds cities like?" she asked, as I got up to wash my dish.
"Well it depends on where you lived at. I lived in a rural village similar to that of Ponyvile. However there are cities that has hundreds of thousands if not a million or two, like one example my nations capitol London. There are even cities that could touch the clouds" I informed as I finished cleaning the plate.
"I wish I could see your world Thomas, it sounds amazing" Fluttershy expressed, which brought me a smile. Although if what Light said was true, humans are the only ones who had been harmed. So there was a chance that the natural beauty of the world was still there.
"I would love to show you my world, that is if I figure out a way home" I replied, not sure if I would even want to go back to a world; where I am the only one left.
"Well I'm sure you'll find a way" she assured me. "Oh I forgot to ask because of finding out that you can talk and that you are from another world distracted me. The Galloping Gala this year we are allowed to bring one pet to the party, as long as they behave. Although you're not a pet, I was wondering if you would like to go with me anyway. I think it would be a really great way to meet the Princesses and see what they're like" she informed, causing me to ponder her suggestion.
On one hand I could see for my own eyes what the rulers of Equestria were like and if they are bad peop... ponies. The other hand something could go wrong, causing my intelligence to be reveled. Yet, I will probably never get this opportunity again. "I would be honored, Fluttershy"
"Yay, we can stop by Rarity's tomorrow to have her make something new for you" she explained, as she took her plate to the sink to wash.
I was in my small burrow with Simon and Charles, a another guy from back home playing cards; it was the only way some of us could relax and pass the time instead of sleep. Although it was highly impossible to sleep from all the constant barrage of artillery and gunshots at us. The most dangerous fear upon sleeping would be the gas that would be hurled at us from miles away.
"Okay Thom who do you have eyes set on back home, heh?" Simon asked as he looked at his cards.
"I don't know maybe Jessabell, you know the one with the golden hair" I said casting out a five and a king.
"Wait you mean the daughter of Ol'Nigel that rich cunt, that threatens everyone even if they look at him?" Simon asked pulling out a king and a ten.
"Yeah, why?" I asked leaning forward against the table.
"He won't let you near his daughter if he finds out what you do" Simon joked bursting into laughter like a Lewis gun.
"Besides what makes her want to marry you, didn't you and baby here push her and her father into a mud puddle?" Charles spat shuffling his cards.
"Hey, what gives you the idea!" Simon growled raising a fist.
"Simon you sad willow, you always cried back home. That's why I call you baby" Charles joked with a laugh. I too chuckled only to stop when Simon looked at me.
"Besides, that was along time ago and when we return home we'll get any woman to be our bride cause every woman loves a man in a uniform!" I spoke getting a smirk and a roll of the eyes from them.
"Well then we'll see," he said placing down his pair of kings causing me and Simon to throw our cards on the stool in front of us. Me and Simon pulled out a pack of smokes and handed it to Charles who chuckled under his breath.
Suddenly a rat came scurrying from one side of my burrow to the next. Causing Charles and me to laugh, at Simon's scared face. "What's wrong, scared of a rat?" Charles joked.
"Of course I am, those little wankers are vile as the damn Fritz themselves" Simon exclaimed as Charles lit one of his cigs.
"Bloody hell" I exclaimed looking outside my burrow, It was raining yet again! "God why rain, why not sunshine?" I exclaimed as water started to seep into my burrow.
Then another soldier snuck his head in. "Oy boys, come on out it's our time to push on those Frits!" he yelled before dashing off telling others as he runs down the trench line.
We quickly grabbed our rifles and rushed outside, to get in positions for the march into 'No Man's Land'. We gathered at the trench where ladders rose to the surface, and we waited for the first sign of our march to our death. We heard the pop of cans that withheld smoke that would cover our escape to the surface. The sudden blow of a whistle from our officer caused us to start our descend to 'No Man's Land'.
In the morning Fluttershy woke me for breakfast, before we went to visit Rarity at her boutique. Fluttershy recommend that I get more than just the suit for the Gala, so I could have something more than the clothing that I arrived here with. The idea wasn't a bad one, I could use better clothing than this silk like clothing that has to be cut at the sleeve to remove.
"So what do you want to do, after we go to Rarity's Thomas?" Fluttershy asked, while we were walking in the middle of town. Luckily she is the town's animal care taker, so they don't think of anything else. "Oh... almost forgot, my bad" she said, remembering that I can't talk to her in public when there are others around.
Before arriving at Rarity's we were stopped by Pinkie, who was hopping towards us like she was ball bouncing off the floor. "Fluttershy, Fluttershy, are you ready for the Gala next week?" She said, as she looked up at me and smiled. "Oh are you going to bring Silver, that would be great! Gummy would love to meet him" she excitedly claimed.
'But who is this Gummy, I don't think I have seen that pony or at least met him' "Well, I just need to see Rarity; to see if she can make Silver a suit so he could look presentable at the Gala" Fluttershy explained.
"Oh well have fun, I have to go help Mr. and Mrs. Cake make a wedding cake for somepony up in Canterlot, bye" Pinkie Pie said, before walking away with a smile.
Entering the boutique a little chime went off from the bell that was tied to the door. The boutique was well in order and mannequins of ponies had unique jeweled dresses on them. "Be right there darling" Rarity's voice came from within the back. "Oh, Fluttershy and you brought Silver. What can I do for you?" Rarity inquired, after she exited the back carrying a few fabrics in her magical aura.
"I was wondering if you could make something for Silver, so he would look presentable in front of everypony at the Gala" Fluttershy respond, as Rarity looked me over for a moment; before she started measuring my body.
"I should be able to do it with ease, as long as he stays still" Rarity claimed, as she started removing my clothing with her scissors cutting up my left sleeve.
Removing my clothes from my body, Rarity started stitching fabric together and measuring almost every single inch of my body. I was still uncomfortable being naked in front of these ponies. Especially since Fluttershy now knows about my intelligence, which makes me more embarrassed.
'Now that Fluttershy knows of my intellect, I assume she is trying to be kind and respect my privacy, since I'm now not decent. Rarity must have caught on to this however.
"Tell me Fluttershy, darling. Why are you looking away from Silver?" she asked, staring at her friend. Raising an eyebrow as she looked towards me and before a mental lightbulb went off. "It doesn't have anything to do with Silver being naked does it? Cause if so, I've never knew you had that... fetish" she said, causing both mine and Fluttershy's eyes to widen. 'That was unexpected and I think it might have caught Fluttershy off guard.
"W-what n-no, it's not that at all. It's just that I find it disgusting to look at his... you know" Fluttershy explained, trying to explain while her face was blushing a deep red. 'Nice save, Fluttershy'
Rarity rolled her eyes not really believing that was the reason, yet finding it somewhat acceptable. "Whatever darling. I do ask that after I'm done with Silver's suit, I want you to wear your new Gala gown. Just to make sure it is to your liking, darling"
"Well... okay, that seems fine" Fluttershy responded. My head started feeling heavy, like I was slapped repeatedly in the back of my head by a line of women.
I covered my fore head as the pain started to intensify. It was like nothing I had ever experienced, my whole body felt like it was being set aflame. 'What is causing this pain?' "Silver are you alright?" Fluttershy asked, turning my attention to her worried face. "Silver does your head hurt?" she asked, now hovering up to my face.
Looking at Fluttershy was... unnerving to me, to say the very least. When my eyes locked onto her I felt an unfathomable feeling towards her. It was anger, hatred, fear, joy and many more all at the same time. It made absolute no sense what so ever. I growled in pain, then her eyes widen as my headache worsens. "Rarity I think I should take Silver home, he seems like he's getting sick" she explained,
"I understand darling. I'll see you tomorrow at the spa, I hope Silver feels better" Rarity informed, as Fluttershy led me outside, with my clothing in her wings. After checking to make sure no one was close she turned to me, "Thomas, what's wrong?" she inquired.
"F-Fluttershy, I feel shattered. Everything is setting off my emotions. Fear, anger, hatred and..." I stopped mid sentence, feeling an inextinguishable sinful excitement. "I-I never felt so confused before in my life. Is... it.... hot out here?" I question as her eyes widen, in shock. "W-what is wrong?" I inquired, before noticing the slight red glow that was impacting her complexion.
"T-Thomas, um do human eyes glow on your world?" she inquired. 'Eyes glow?, why would she think that? Wait is my eyes glowing? How is this possible? Damn, where's Light when you need him?'
"Our eyes are not meant to glow, no why?" I stated, which only seemed to worry her more.
"Thomas we need to take you to Twilight, immediately!" Fluttershy cried, as she forcefully pulled me along with her. I wanted to say something but I couldn't; I started to get a cool chill over my spine and my fingers. This bone chilling feeling is the coldest feeling I had ever felt.
"So close to complete control, soon I'll fix this world and then no one will stop me" Crimson told himself pridefully, As he was slowly taking over Thomas's body.
"I wouldn't count Thomas out of the picture just yet, after all he could still find a way to stop you from winning" Light said, as he dangled in the air in chains.
"That vessel pathetic excuse for a human?, Honestly I can get more of a fight from these ponies than he can" Crimson retorted, glaring back at Light as he swayed.
I was in the middle of gathering the rest of my equipment for locating, an odd signal of a unique unidentified form of magic near Ponyvile. That I had picked up a few days ago, after I had returned from visiting Princess Luna in Canterlot. "Spike, are we all set?" I asked, as he walked into the room carrying a fully packed backpack three times bigger than his size.
"Um.. Twilight, don't you think this is a little much?" he inquired, struggling to keep standing.
"Spike of course not, it's not everyday that a new form of magic suddenly appears out of nowhere! Besides I will need to analyze every millimeter of the source, and everything in there is vital for to do so" I informed Spike, as he sighs in response. "Now where did I misplace my saddlebags?" I inquired before a loud boom echoes through the castle.
"Twilight!!" Fluttershy's fearful voice bounced off of the walls of he hallway into the room. I quickly trotted out of the room heading towards the entrance to find what is wrong with Fluttershy.
Entering the main hall, I found Fluttershy dragging Silver along towards me. "Fluttershy what happen, what's wrong?" I asked trying to figure out what was wrong, then the glare from Silver's mask caught my eye.
"Twilight I need your help, Silver's mask started glowing while at Rarity's and now he's in terrible pain!" Fluttershy cried deeply worried about Silver, as Silver held his temple with both of his hands.
"Please, follow me to the Library. My magical equipment is in there" I told her as I trotted off to the library, with them close behind. 'This must be some sort of magic spell right, if that's the case then who would do such a thing? I have a bad feeling about this'
Entering the Library, I opened up the large backpack of equipment that was for studying the strange source and pulled out the magical reader and the magic detector. To locate the source of the magic on Silver's body and to scan to see what kind of spell is on him. "Okay please hold still Silver, this should only tickle" I assured, as I aimed the magic detector at Silver.
The glow from Silver's mask grew as the device pinpointed the exact location of the magic that is on his body. Confirming that it was indeed on the mask. 'So its in his head, good thing we established the location' I then pulled out the Magical reader to find out what spell was placed on him.
My eyes widen in both shock and awe. The magical source that I was going to look for was in his head this whole time. "T-twilight is something wrong?" Fluttershy inquired in a worried tone.
It seemed just like everything else about Silver, the spell is both odd and mysterious. "The spell put on him is... well, um... never been recorded before, Fluttershy. I'm afraid I don't really know what is the cause of it, however the device does show a similar pattern to a known spell; Despite the unknown form of magic. There is a chance that the original owner of Silver, cast a spell onto him way before they got separated and have now just started to deteriorate" I explained, looking at the readings and then to Fluttershy.
"W-what spell and can you remove it?" Fluttershy asked, looking back at Silver who now slightly calmer than when he was before.
"Well the spell is similar to that of a ... what the hay? Its a spell to alter his appearance, someone must of either messed up a crying spell or they wanted him to look very different. Okay then this spell should not be too hard to remove then, I just need to enter Silver's mind to clear the spell from his head" I informed, knowing that I hate entering minds.
"Enter his mind, like how Princess Luna does. I thought only she could do that and that it works on only sentient beings when they sleep?" Fluttershy inquired confused at subject.
"Luna taught me how to enter ponies minds, the last time I was at Canterlot and technically the spell works on any species, however it is commonly used on ponies because they are more magically conected. Humans, animals and other Species like Griffons not so much, so I would need to tweak it to enter his mind while he is still awake" I informed, as I readied the spell and aimed my horn at Silver's head.
Entering Silver's mind was not at all what I expected. I thought, I would have found the source inside of his head within a few seconds. However that doesn't seem to be the case anymore, for a human he has an enormous space. "I can not see anything with this fog in here. How come there is a fog anyway?" I asked myself, as I walked through the fog.
Suddenly I saw a pair of light in the distance. One red similar to the glow from Silver's mask and the other of a white light. As I came closer I noticed that the red one was glowing brighter each and every second, while the other was becoming dimer. "This has to be the cause of Silver's pain, but what does this one do?" I asked myself, looking from red to white light.
"Perhaps its the spell that is keeping the mask bounded to Silver's head?" I pondered, as I watch the light sources closely. I channeled my magic to strike the light sources all at once, before swiftly blasting towards the light sources. Upon contact my strike was stopped mere centimeters from them, before the white light moved out of the way and my strike unfreezing and blasting the red light.
"What just happen?" I asked, as the white light disappeared from my vision; leaving me alone in the dark and cold fog.
"Hehe, good question Twilight Sparkle or Should I call you Princess Sparkle?" a voice menacing voice inquired, sending chills down my back. I opened my mouth to speak, but was stopped before could utter a letter. "Save it, I don't care. Heh, you know what is hilarious? That you came in here to stop a headache, but ended up kicking out a bloodthirsty monster that preys on death and destruction. Wanna see what will happen now?" the voice explained, as millions of red eyes shined from within the fog.
When Twilight entered my mind, I was worried that she would end up discovering my identity. However that soon changed when my felt the pain cease. For a second everything felt like it stopped, but then I was launched into the bookshelf imbedding in the wall. "Silver!" I heard the words escape Fluttershy's breath.
My body was starting to feel numb, I was losing my breath, and while my vision started to become a blur, the shadows of the damned returned. For some reason I felt like I should feel guilty for them, but for what? "We.... kn..ow... Y...re... Si...ns...s" The deformed black liquid figures spoke, as they lurched in weird movements.
"Thom...as why do you torture us so?" a familiar voice cried from the monsters. It was... her, my wife. I was speechless, my eyes were playing tricks on me or someone was, my wife as long as everyone else that I ever knew is dead. It couldn't be her. "Wait, no. You're not my Thomas, you just look like him. My Thomas is human" her voice spoke like daggers as one of the creatures formed slowly to take up her image.
Before I could say anything, Fluttershy brought me back into reality by gently slapping my face with her hoof. "Are you alright..." she stopped in mid sentence to check on Twilight ,who was standing still with her horn glowing unfazed by the commotion. "Thomas?" she continued.
"I'm... fine, I guess. I just didn't expect to be sent flying into a wall. Um... well at least my head doesn't hurt anymore, did my eyes stop glowing?" I asked as, the mask began to crack down the middle.
"Thomas, are you sure that you're fine?" Fluttershy asked, suddenly everything went dark. "Eep"! Fluttershy's voiced squeaked, from within the darkness. "W-why did everything go black?" Fluttershy scare fully asked.
"I-I don't know, but I have a feeling about this" I replied, having a strange feeling that Light was somehow involved in this. Before anything else could be said, the blackness left; leaving the room in a dark and gloomy atmosphere.
"Aaahhh!!" yelled Twilight, as she awoke from her spell. Her breathing was heavy and sweat was covering her face. 'Something she saw petrified her, something in my head... my memories of the war perhaps or something worse?'
"Fluttershy we have to warn everypony in town at once, something truly evil is coming to Ponyvile!" Twilight warned, as she pulled open the doors of the Library and ran out. Fluttershy and I looked at each other before we followed in pursuit after her.
"Twilight what is coming?" asked Fluttershy afraid of the unknown danger.
Spike came out of a room, which I assume to be his room; with a comic book in claw. "What's with all the ruckus?" he inquired, which he instantly regretted when Twilight picked him up with her magic and headed towards the castle's main entrance.
"I have no time to explain except for that, there was something hiding inside Silver's head. I accidentally released it and now its released somewhere within Ponyvile!" she exclaimed, as we noticed that it was getting extremely dark outside. Which was strange, since it was at least mid day. "Its here" she continued.
We rushed outside to see what was happening, and it seems that it wasn't just us who went to see. It looked like the whole town stopped everything and looked up in both awe and fear. Suddenly a bright red light appeared in the dark sky, followed by smaller red lights.
'What is that?' I asked myself feeling, like I've seen this before. "W-what is that?" Spike had finally spoke , breaking the silence that grew after our exit.
"We have too evacuate everypony now, Fluttershy I need you to lead ponies out of town. Once the town's evacuated, we'll meet up at the tree of harmony with the rest of the elements. Go... I'll distract it for as long as I can" Twilight commanded as she flew up and fired into the red light. Causing a loud booming cry of pain to echo from the light, which it struck back with a ray of red light towards Twilight who blocked it with a shield; sending it to a building disintegrating it within a second. "H-heh, come on lets fight Pony" the voice growled.
Spike and Fluttershy had already left to evacuate the ponies, leaving me alone. Fluttershy must've been carried away by current events that she left me here. 'I need to move, I don't want to get harmed by this thing' I told myself before, I was overcome by a familiar feeling. "Light?" I asked, looking for him in any possible reflective surface.
Suddenly I felt someone grab my shoulder, making me jump. "Thomas you cannot out run him, he will win if you do" Light spoke, as I turned to face him. "Light you're" I began before he put his finger up against my lips"Yes, I am physically real... for now at least. You... no, we need to defeat him Thomas" Light said leaving me speechless.
"Come again?, you want me to fight that... what ever that is? and if you ask me Twilight has it handled" I yell, gesturing towards the glowing red spot in the dark sky. He slapped me against my face "The hell, what was that for?" I inquired. "Thomas her attacks on him is equal to that of a slap to the face. Crimson is only playing with his food, if we are to beat him then you must trust me" Light informed.
I looked up to see Twilight send a few more blasts into the light, for more red light rays to fire onto her. Which she tried to block with a shield, sending the light rays towards nearby ponies who barely lucked out from the blast. "..Okay, what's the plan?"
Twilight fired out once more towards the red light hoping that, what she was doing was really doing something against it. Before the shot could enter the red light, it suddenly froze and evaporated. "This is the end of our little game now" It spoke like two boulders grinding against together.
Twilight watched as the red light and the darkness around that engulfed it formed a dragon's head. She tried to utter a word, or even tried to fire once again at the living nightmare in front of her; but she was too petrified to do anything other than watch and flap her wings in horror. "What did you thought you could be their little hero?, did you think you could save them? it chuckled as she finally looked away towards the other side of Ponyvile. "You do have to give it to me, I did put on a good show for your town" it continued, as its face turned towards the other side of Ponyvile.
Everypony that was running towards the edge of town, stopped in their tracks as they noticed the darkness touching the edge of the town. Another dragon's head appeared and went in for a bite. It barely missed biting an inch of Lyra's tail, and before the head broke off into two separate clawed arms reaching for ponies.
Everypony was scattered, running all around Ponyvile desperately trying to avoid the heads and claws of the dark monster. Fluttershy was dashing towards town hall but was stopped, when she was joined up with Rarity on her way there. "W-what do we do now that the whole town is b-blocked off by the darkness?" Fluttershy inquired of Rarity.
"I don't know, but we have to keep moving darling. We don't want to end up like the humans, poor things couldn't out run the monster" Rarity explained as they ran into a back alleyway, to rest for a moment.
"..."
"Fluttershy?, what is it?" Rarity inquired, looking upon Fluttershy's wide eyed look.
"Th-m Silver!, oh sweet Celestia I hope he's okay. I completely forgot about him, oh no w-what if he was... was" she cried unable to finish, as she looked towards the burning town.
"I-I think he's doing just f-fine darling. I'm sure of it" Rarity lied, giving a reassuring smile. Which seemed to help, brighten Fluttershy's mood.
Twilight was thrown into the a nearby building. Her shield was unable to protect her from the blast that it originally sent out, proving that the monster was indeed only humoring her from the very beginning of the fight. "Those silly friends of yours wont help you no more. They're burn to dust like all of mine have, come on give in little pony" It spoke as a tendril of darkness moved in to finish the fight.
Suddenly without warning Twilight disappeared and reappeared just outside of the black cloud-like dome that encased Ponyvile. "W-well, well, well, it seems that you're finally facing me Light" Crimson spoke as he looked around, eventually spotting Thomas. Who was slowly walking towards him.
"Well, this is a surprise indeed. I suppose you didn't think of this Suicide mission alone did you? I mean you were just weak, not stupid" Crimson inquired, as some of the darkness began to take form of something sinister.
"You're efforts are bound to fail Crimson" Light's voice cried out, as Thomas's hands started producing small orbs of white light. Which caused Crimson to stop in his tracks as he finished his form of a mirror copy of Thomas, but made up of dark and faded colors.
"I see, you have complete control of him now. Don't you?" Crimson inquired stopping his destructive chaos onto the town. "Well, I would be dumb if I said I didn't see that coming. However, I don't see the use of facing me, you don't have enough Space energy to defeat me. I however, have plenty to go on. So much so, you could say that I'm well fed" Crimson remarked, raising his hand towards Thomas with a smirk.
"Goodbye" he said calmly, as red light fires from his hand striking Thomas. Vaporizing him within a second, leaving only ash and a silver mask. At first Crimson grew joyous over destroying Light and Thomas all at once, he went into an uproar in laughter; where everypony still trapped inside heard, but the feeling of joy quickly settled, leaving only confusion and uncertainty. "WAS IT REALLY THAT SIMPLE?, WHY WASNT IT THIS SIMPLE WHEN I RIPPED APART THE EARTH!!" he roared throughout the dark dome.
From outside the shadows that encased the town, hundreds of Royal guards encircled the town keeping a lookout for anypony that might escape from the shadow. Princess Luna along with Starswirl the bearded and the other Pillars except for Stygian who was still on his way, stood outside the darkness on top of a nearby hill peering into the darkness. "Is there anyway this could still be the shadowpony?" Luna inquired, peeing into the dark void.
"It couldn't be, the shadowpony was banished to limbo. The only way it could be it is if somepony had unleashed it and no one except for Twilight, her friends and us know about it. This has to be something else, something different" Starswirl explained, looking towards the other pillars before returning his gaze back to Princess Luna.
A Royal guard approached the Princess with a stern face. He was Lieutenant Cando, a new rising military leader who helped reshaped the Guard after both of the Changeling invasions. He gave a light bow to the Princess before speaking. "Your majesty, we have just received word that Princess Twilight has been located just outside of the barrier. She is in severe condition, whatever is going on in there its bad" the guard informed.
Luna looked at her Lieutenant and opened her mouth to speak but was silenced by a loud growl coming from within the shadow. Just then the overall size of the shadow dome that covered all of Ponyvile, shortened freeing only a few ponies.
That was when a bright light appeared from behind them. When they turned to face the light, they were faced with a human being. It was a male with dark brown hair, and eyes of a grayish color. It was wearing a black silky fabric around his body. Everypony looked upon him with both curiosity and shock.
"A human?, where did it come from?" Starswirl asked, as Luna looked over towards the human. She couldn't help but feel a unnerving sense of sadness as she gazed upon it.
"That is the least of our problems, we need to find a way inside. Lieutenant, you said Twilight is in severe condition right?" Luna asked, getting a confirmation from the Lieutenant in the form of a nod. "Well then we must find a way inside at once. Whatever is going on in there, Twilight couldn't handle it herself which makes me wonder what evil thing could be the cause of this" she continued, once again looking upon the darkness that engulfed the town.
"Pure hate" a calm unemotional voice spoke silencing everyone. It did not sound like everyone else's voice it had a Trottingham accent, which none of the pillars nor the Lieutenant had. Everyone turned back to face the only other thing with them the human. "Greetings ponies" it spoke again causing everypony to gasp in shock.
"Hrm, perhaps I should have started with something more simpler, either way. We don't have time for this Princess..." the human looked over towards the Princesses flank and study the cutie mark for a sec before continuing "Luna, we need your help to weaken Crimson enough for me to deal the final blow" he explained, causing everyone to snap out of their state of shock and wonderment.
"How are you able to speak?, humans lack the brain to talk. This shouldn't be possible, but let it is" Starswirl explained, trying to process this information like everypony else.
"We do not have much time, Crimson is currently absorbing the magical essence of ponies in Ponyvile. My friend and I was able to prevent him from absorbing the rest of Twilight's magical essence by teleporting her away"he stated calmly, bringing everypony back to the issue at hand.
"How do you and your friend suppose we weaken this mon... Crimson as you call it?" Princess Luna inquired. She couldn't put her hoof on it but something about this human reminded her of somepony or perhaps of something, but who or what?
"Crimson is similar to that of a fire, his fuel consists of energy or in this case the magic of the town ponies. His anger burns this energy source, if you are able to anger him enough he would burn through his energy quickly. Once out of energy he will become weak enough for me to permanently erase his physical form for good" he replied, as part of him started to phase out. "It seems my time is up, and do hurry Princess" he replied before disappearing from their sight.
Crimson calmed himself as he focused his ability to absorb more magic from the town, until a certain pair of ponies peaked his interest. 'The white unicorn and that Yellow pegasus, just what I wanted to see. A quick snack' he thought as they attempted to slowly crept their way towards town hall.
They hadn't witnessed the events leading up to Silver's vaporization from the beam of energy. Fluttershy and Rarity were trying to sneak away from behind a cart, when they witnessed Silver being vaporized. Now Fluttershy was weeping over her lost friend, while Rarity tried her best to get Fluttershy to calm down, so that the monster that took on the form of a darker Silver wouldn't hear them. "Fluttershy, we have to go now. The monster will kill us like the everypony else, if it finds us please darling" Rarity cried in panic trying to get her friend to move.
"You're right Rarity. Now is not the time to mourn. We have to escape" Fluttershy replied with sorrowful tears escaping her gentle eyes. When she looked up to Rarity's face she saw a look of horror, it took Fluttershy no time to figure out what she was staring at. It was the monster approaching towards them still taking the form of Silver.
"R-run!" Fluttershy managed to cry out, as she darted off towards town hall with Rarity close behind. However, before they could make it, the monster appeared in between them and their Sanctuary.
"Now where would you two be running off to, hmm? I hope you would stay for dinner little ponies" Crimson snarled, as shadows curled off his body onto the ground slowly making its way to them. However, Rarity wasn't having any of it, she knew what would happen if it had caught them before they made it to the Town Hall. She charged her horn with as much magic as she could muster and fired towards the monster. Impacting it directly in the face and blowing a large hole through it.
Rarity and Fluttershy thought it was over only for a slight second or two however, till they noticed it's head rebuilding itself. "H-how can t-that be, I t-thought I.." Rarity started mumbling, before she was hushed by a soft menacing chuckle. The monster was chuckling deviously as it finished reforming its head.
"What do you think that would've done?" it snapped, as its shadows jumped off the ground and lunged towards Rarity. However, luckily Rarity pulled up a shield that deflected the attack, but while deflecting the blow she was sent backwards into the Town Hall building.
Fluttershy was paralyzed from the pure horror that is now looming over her. She glared at the face of a true Nightmare, and it glared back. "Well, well... If it isn't Thomas's owner, Fluttershy was it?" Crimson inquired with barely any interest in his voice. Crimson waited for a moment before continuing after Fluttershy remained in a shaking state "Just amazing... the only time I actually thought about caring for knowing a name... Oh well" he growled raising his hand in the air as it changed into a long slender claws.
It was about to strike at her or it would have seemed to do if it hadn't jerked backwards catching the metal pipe that was swung at him. "Well, well, well... did little Thomas have some trouble being the hero?" Crimson snickered, as he disintegrated the pipe. "You pathetic little, ape" he spat, sending Thomas backwards through a building with the backhand from the claw, causing the walls to collapse along with the rest of the building. Thomas had gain deep cuts on his chest flowed by his left arm bent in an unnatural direction. "What an awful performance to save your master" he snickered, as he began to hover over towards Thomas.
Thomas Pov
Light had devised a plan to help the ponies military to defeat this 'Crimson', all I had to do is wait and stay out of his sight. Now I wait for Light to return, so he can deliver this finishing move he has planed. So I hid or at least tried till I saw it attack Fluttershy and Rarity. I owe Fluttershy a lot for taking care of me and I couldn't just stand there and watch that thing harm her.
Now I'm in this mess with the monster that was me or is me looking at me with the intent to kill me. I need to think of a way out of this and fast. "Why are you doing this to them, they have done nothing wrong" I demanded as I was barely able to even stand from the immense pain I was feeling. This for some reason threw him off guard, he stood there with a confused look at me and then began chuckling heinously.
"Oh, Thomas for a second there I thought you were serious. Then again, you did lose your memory. These ponies are just like Humanity from our world. They share a common trait that is annoying to me, they preach love and respect. However, they hardly seem to understand it. That's my issue with these ponies, they suppress their true nature. The nature that is distrust and false principles. They enslave Mankind, Thomas. Don't you tell me that that's what a nice race would do to another?" It shot back at me.
"I-I..." I couldn't finish it, he had me there. The history books that I read, talked about how the ponies were at one time in a constant war with their race. It wasn't till after they were united here in this land that they became peaceful, at the extent of other sentient species. Humans were acknowledged to had some degree of intelligence far before their unification. Despite, today humans being dumber than a pile of rocks.
"Do you know why I had exterminated our world too? Because everyone remained hateful and greedy. Far after I ended the countless wars and nearly brought the world under one banner, that banner being of mankind. I learned that it's human nature to hate, to want to take from others and I became something more powerful than anything in the world ever was or would be. Then I unleashed my full power upon the Earth, causing it and the universe to collapse in on itself. You see Thomas, in the end I was only following what was human nature, I was just like the world thought of me" Crimson spoke with a harsh serious tone.
He wasn't wrong Humanity was a violent race, starting wars for crappy reasons. However he can't change people who have been one way for thousands of years just by overnight. Crimson began to change his arms into large blades and directed them at me. Suddenly the Shadow that covered Ponyvile began to lift, as the pony guards burst into the city looking for survivors. Crimson's red light that shined from the edges of his body quickly faded as color turned to complete darkness.
Crimson went in for the kill, thrusting his bladed arms towards me and right as they were about to pierce into my flesh, it was blasted away with an extreme white light. I looked towards the source and behold Light had returned, about damn time he did too. "Rest now Thomas, I'll handle this from now on" Light said calmly as small spheres of white light appear around him and began firing at Crimson, forcing him to jump back to avoid getting hit.
As they began their magical light show of a battle, I sat down from the pain of being thrown through a building. I lowered my head and closed my eyes trying to not make my pan any worse than what it was. I heard Fluttershy say something which made me lift my head, she was looking upon me with her big turquoise eyes. I smiled underneath my mask, knowing that she was still alive because of me. "H-hey, you... okay?" I asked as I started to feel the pain in my back start to grow as the adrenaline rush began to diminish.
She went in for a hug which wasn't helpful for me with the pain and all. She pulled back after a moment of silence. "Thank you Thomas, you saved me" she replied softly. If the mask wasn't blocking my eyes, her gaze would have met mine perfectly. The pure thought of that made my spine tingle.
"Heh, well... we should probably get going. We don't want to get caught in their fight" I uttered, trying to get up. Only to find myself unable to rise, after falling back onto my butt. "Well, I can't get up. You think you can give me a little push?" I asked, kind of embarrassed to ask her for help. She nodded and pushed me from behind with her wings, allowing me to stand up. "Thanks, Fluttershy" I thanked, before we slowly walked away from the light show behind us.
Light was bombarding Crimson with many bright orbs of light, Crimson had at first dodged the attacks with great ease now found himself barely escaping their impact. "I'll give it to you Light, you used Thomas against me. I didn't see it coming"Crimson stated, before being hit by an orb of light; causing an explosion of energy to be released.
"Correction, I didn't make Thomas do anything, he just listened to me. You should know I cannot manipulate others" Light said calmly, sending more orbs at Crimson with high speeds.
Dodging the first two, he was struck by one at his leg, destroying it. Light hovered over Crimson as hundreds of glowing orbs surrounded them. "Heh, who would have thought that it would end like this?" Crimson laughed sinisterly, as the orbs turned into chains of light and began wrapping around Crimson.
Slowly the chains grew tighter and tighter as a crack began to form on Crimson's body. "I saw how this would end from the beginning Crimson, I always did" Light said coldly, with a slight sense of venom.
"Wait... what do you mean by always?" Crimson growled as he secretly charged up a small orb of shadows.
For a moment Light didn't respond as if he was thinking about his next move, choosing his next words closely. "Like I said, I knew what was to be before it happened. Most importantly, what has yet to become. Thomas may not know it but the dominos have fallen and one way or another he would have to make the same choice that I made. To save man or to leave them to their fate" Light replied, staring at Thomas and Fluttershy in the distance.
Crimson looked at Light as the cracks began to grow and spread across his body. "Are you saying you could've stopped me, but didn't?" Crimson inquired with deep curiosity. Light looked at Crimson and stood in silence as the glowing chains tighten more causing Crimson's legs to completely shatter and disappear. "I see, so tell me did you know about..." Crimson continued before Light stepped in.
"The orb? Yes. You should know by now that you won't be able to harm me, in your current state" Light informed as part of Crimson's head shattered into dust.
Crimson grew a weary smile. "Well then, catch" Crimson growled, sending the orb at high speeds past Light which caught him off guard. Quickly Light tried to destroy the orb with one of his, but his was too slow. The Orb went straight towards Thomas and Fluttershy.
Within seconds the orb made contact. The world stopped or so it had seen as the smoke had engulfed the impact site. Light turned to Crimson who now had become a pile of ash. Light quickly flew over into the smoke cloud which started to clear, allowing him to find Thomas. He was doing CPR on Fluttershy, the one who was hit by Crimson's attack.
