---One night in Twilight's kingdom---

"----SPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE!" Twilight called out her dragon friend. "GET IN HERE!"

Spike entered Twilight's throne room gasping for air shouting---

"I'M HERE! I'M HERE!" Spike joined Twilight's side. The princess of friendship was currently writing in a big, fat journal using the magic from her horn. She looked to her side to see Spike, sweating and gasping for air.
"What. Is it.*huf*. That you. Needed. Me.For!?" He asked his pony friend, still gasping for air.

"Well Spike, you said that you wanted to see how my new spell was working. Right?" Twilight asked the sweaty exhausted dragon.

Spike was finally able to breath again when he answered saying, "Yeah. And?"

"I've finally finished it, and I want you to help me test it out!" Twilight happily answered her friend's confused expression.

"So what exactly is this spell supposed to do again?" Spike asked. After a while of Twilight being alone to work on her spell, he had forgotten what it was originally supposed to do.

"This my little dragon friend," Twilight wrapped her fore-leg around Spike. "Is supposed to heal ponies who have damaged minds." Twilight answered. She was so excited to finally try out her first healing spell, that her mouth was starting to ache from all of the smiling. She put Spike back down after suddenly noticing that she had accidentally lifted him off of the floor.

"Ready?"

"Ready as i'll ever be!"

Twilight looked back at her book and after a few seconds and then read it aloud.

"They wish for them to be free of this curse... but this spell is only going to make it worse?"

"Uhhhhhhhh... something tells me that that isn't what the spell is actually supposed to mean!?" Spike was beginning to panic, almost as much as Twilight was.

Twilight continued to chant her spell, became more and more confused as she did so.

"Let these final words finish this task, and erase the special moment's from the past!?"

There was a sudden explosion in the sky, casting large, big, dark, grey clouds to appear. Loud thunder boomed from the sky's forming storm. Twilight quickly grabbed Spike and flew out of the window.

"TWILIGHT!" Spike shouted, the wind coming from the storm had appeared to be making the dragon's voice barely even noticeable. "WHERE ARE WE GOING TWILIGHT!?"

"I NEED TO KNOW THAT MY FRIENDS ARE OKAY!" She answered, yelling as loud as she could. "LUCKILY THEY'RE ALL GATHER IN THE CENTER OF THE TOWN!"

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning shot the very center of ponyville. Right where Twilight and Spikes friends were. Twilight cranked it up a bit and flew even faster through the storm, that was continuously growing. But then, right before Twilight was about to land on the dirt covered ground... the storm stopped. It just... STOPPED!? The clouds, the thunder the lightning... they were gone. Just like that. POOF!
Twilight was so blinded by this fact that wasn't seeing where she was going and was startled when Spike let out a scream as they both crashed into the ground.

"OW!" Spike yelped.

Twilight quickly got back up, and became very dizzy. The world was blurry. It Twilight a few moments before her vision was cleared. After she was able to see again, standing before her... was her friends. She trotted closer to them, Spike fallowing.

"Hey girls!" She happily greeted them. But they did not give her a response.

"Girls?" They still did not answer her.

"Girls it's me! I'ts Twilight!"

Her friends slowly turned around, they're faces confused and expressionless. Pinkie pie stepped forward.

"Who are you?"

Shattered Memories

View Online

"Who are you?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"Pinkie it's me! Twilight! Your friend!" The pink pony did not respond.

"Oh no!" Twilight suddenly realized what was going on. "The spell that I cased!"

"What about it?" Spike asked, he was starting to panic.

"It must have been tampered with when I wasn't looking!" Twilight continued slowly realizing what see had just done.

"Instead of casting a healing spell for the mind... I think I just cased a spell that ERASES the mind!"

"Oh no!" Spike said, his eyes widening. "THEIR BRAINS ARE GONE!?" Twilight face-hooved.

"No Spike," the lavender pony informed him. "I mean their memories are gone!" Spike's jaw dropped to the ground, his eyes grew even wider than before.

"That must be why they can't remember who I am! And, I think that the lightning from the storm must have been what caused it to happen to them!"

"Now if y'all weirdos could excuse me," Applejack started. "I have to get back to my farm!"

"Yeah!" Fluttershy chimed in. "I have way BETTER places to be then to just talking to you strangers!" Then she flew of into the sky and back to her cottage.

The way Fluttershy snapped at the other five ponies made Twilight gasp.

"Fluttershy would never say anything like that!" Twilight told Spike, whose mouth was still dangling open and his eyes were as wide as he could make them.

"I'm with that weird...um... butterfly cutie mark pony!" Rainbow Dash butt in, hovering above the ground. "I don't need to talk OR support anypony I don't know!" Rainbow Dash flew into the sky, (just like Fluttershy), and flew back towards her home in clouds dale.

"I believe I do have to agree with them," Rarity began, slowly trotting away. "I have some new dresses to work on," She stopped and turned around to face Twilight, who only about seven feet away from her. "You may purchase one- but only IF you have money to give to me and me only!" She turned back around and continued slowly trotting towards her boutique.

"YEAH!" Pinkie Pie jumped in Twilight's face. "I have some special cupcakes to make!" She backed away from Twilight but then jumped right back in Twilight's face shouting, "GOODBYE!" And then the pink pony hopped away in the direction of Sugar Cube Corner.

Twilight turned to Spike.

"I don't that spell just broke their memories... I think that it changed their true selves as well!" The lavender pony realized that what she had done, was even worse than what she had thought.

"Now they're the complete opposites of their elements!" Twilight's panic turned into grief. She closed her eyes.

"Just like when Discord took over!?" Spike asked.

"Yes Spike," Twilight answered. "It is just like when Discord took over equestria."

Twilight's expression turned from terror to sadness.

"Only this time... it's all my fault." Her head sank and a tear fell from her eye as she faced the ground. Twilight sat down and Spike... who hugged her back.

"What am I going to do Spike?"

Looking for answers

"What am I going to do Spike?" Twilight asked her faithful companion. Spike thought for a moment. Soon a light bulb went of in his head.

"We could send a message to the princess?!" Twilight's eyes widened, she smiled at Spike

"Your right Spike." The lavender pony complimented her dragon friend. Spike smiled.

"I am?!" He wasn't really used to Twilight taking his actually very helpful advise. Twilight got back up and positioned herself in a flying position as she put Spike on her back.

"We need to get answers from the princess!" Twilight soared into the with Spike struggling to hold onto her back.

Soon they arrived in Canterlot and flew strait towards princess Celestia's castle. When Twilight and Spike landed in front of the entrance, they were suddenly stopped by two of the royal guards, crossing the spears, forbidding them to come in.

"HALT!" One of them shouted. "Nopony is allowed to see either one of the princesses at this hour!" Twilight looked up at the night sky. Then she quickly turned back to the two royal guards.

"I must speak with the princesses expediently!" Her expression was stern and serious. The guards did not move.

"Please! It's an emergency!"

The two guards exchanged glances. One of them nodded at the other and they both pulled back their staffs, allowing Twilight to get into the castle.

"Thank you!" The lavender pony exclaimed, running into the castle and galloping towards the princess's throne room. Twilight slammed through with a loud bang. Still galloping towards her teacher's throne. Princess Celestia had been in a brief conversation with her little sister, Princess Luna, and was startled when all her prized pupil burst through the doors all of a sudden.

"Twilight?!" The sun goddess asked, with a concerned look on her face. "What is it that you need?"

Twilight skidded her hooves on the floor to give her a sudden stop. However, when she did so, Spike flew off her back and crashed strait into a wall, with a loud

*slam*

"OW!" He yelped.

"Sorry!" Twilight called out for to make sure that he was okay.

"I'm all good!" The little dragon assured her.

Twilight turned back to the princesses.

"Did you notice that big storm outside just about half an hour ago?"

"Yes Twilight Sparkle." Luna informed her. "We did notice the peculiar storm. In fact, w were just talking about it."

"Good!" Twilight exclaimed. "Because I there was something with that storm and it did something to my friends!"

The two sister's eyes widened.

"What do you mean?" Celestia asked.

"I think that it all started when I was practicing my new spell with Spike and------" Twilight explained the past events to the two princesses.

Luna's eyes widened

"Oh dear!" Luna could not believe what the lavender pony had just told her... and neither could her sister.

"I know, and i'm sorry." Twilight began. "I should have looked through it one more time before I read it aloud!"

"It is alright Twilight." Celestia tried to calm down her student. "There has to be a way to reverse this spell."

Twilight began to panic again.

"You mean you don't know!?"

"I am sorry Twilight." Luna stepped in for her sister. "But we do not have the knowledge for these sort of things."

"But I have complete faith that you will find out what the answer is."

Twilight regained her calmness.

"Yes. I will try my very hardest princess. Come on Spike!" Twilight turned to Spike, (who was still struggling to regain his consciousness), and picked him up and set him back onto her back. Twilight flew out of a nearby window and headed back to HER castle.

Celestia turned to her sister and said,

"I fear that something awful will come across Twilight and her friends."

"I feel it too." Luna agreed. "But we will have to see what challenges she will have to face. After all... keeping equestria safe is not an easy task."

The two sisters looked out the window, preying that the obstacles that Twilight was about to face... were NOT as horrible as they were thinking.

Believing In Faith

It's all your fault...

It's all your fault...

The words echoed in Twilight's mind. She tossed and she turned as she tried to escape her nightmare.

It"s all your fault... and now your friends are going to be lost. Forever. And ever. AND EVER!

"NO!" Twilight shot up from her bed, gasping for air. She was covered in sweat from her head to her hooves.

Spike looked up from the comforts of his bed, startled by the screams of his friend. "Twilight what's wrong?"

The lavender pony stared straight at the staircase. The long. Dark. Pitch black staircase. After Twilight had a moment to calm down, she turned to Spike, who had a terrified look upon his face.

"Oh Spike!" Twilight cooed. "Tell me it was just a dream? Please?"

Spike looked at her glumly.

"What have I done Spike? What have I done?"

"I wish that I could tell you that it was just a dream," He crawled out of his bed and snuggled up next to Twilight in hers... comforting her. "But we can't undo what's already been done."

Twilight looked at her dragon friend with sad eyes. "But the princesses said that there was a way to fix this... I-I just have to find one! Right?"

Spike was happy to see that the lavender pony still had some hope left in her. "I'm totally, one-hundred percent sure that you'll find a way to fix all of this, " Spike assured her. "I believe in you Twilight. I believe in you Twilight. I believe in you Twilight. I believe..." Spike's words trailed off as Twilight was suddenly losing her consciousness, and fell back to sleep.

I believe in you Twilight... The words rang in her ears as her faith was rising up in her.

Spike might not have very much faith in the situation... but he did have somepony to believe in. Somepony who he knew would change the mess that she had started and restore balance to equestria. And that pony had only two feelings about the mess that she was going to clean up...

I believe. I believe... in faith.

Searching for a cure

View Online

"Come on...UGH!" Twilight groaned. She threw books off of the shelves from here to there, quickly looking threw them. The lavender pony was hoping to find a cure for her spell in one of her books... but she could only find spells that could cure small sicknesses, such as colds, the flu, etc. She was starting to lose hope in the situation.

"No... no... oh no no NO!" Twilight was starting to get impatient with herself.

"Is it? No! Does this one? No! Could-" Twilight looked around the room. She had searched through every book in her library, and had scattered them all over the floor.

"Ohhhh..." Twilight sat glumly in the pile of books. She was almost ready to admit her defeat, when a little voice inside her head was saying,

I believe in you Twilight.

Twilight got back up from the pile of books.

"No!" She declared. "I will not give up on protecting my friends. And will NOT give up on restoring them to who they truly are!"

Twilight stormed out of her castle. She looked up ahead at the everfree forest.

""If I have to search all over equestria to find a way to fix this... than so be it!"

-------------------------------

"OOF!"

Twilight yelped out in pain as she tripped over a large tree stump and rolled down a steep hill. She tumbled through bushes, she was attacked by insects that lived in the forest, she tripped, she fell, her left leg was even beginning to bleed a trickle of blood. She was covered in bruises, and bumps, sweat and scratches, blood stains on her fur, and she still could not stop the bleeding in her left leg.

After who knows how long of trotting through the forest, Twilight was beginning to feel light headed in the heat of the forest. He world began to spin around and around. She was suddenly losing her consciousness and was about to collapse on the ground. The last thing that she saw... was a black-and-white stripped figure, and then... she was out like a light.

------------------------------

Twilight woke up in a soft bed in a strange, cabin with various native souvenirs, potions on shelves, and a brewing Calderon, which was bubbling up right now.

"Uhhh...where am I?" Twilight slowly looked around the room, trying to figure out who or what could've brought her here.

"Hello miss Twilight Sparkle," Said a familiar voice, coming from the other side of the cabin. "You seem to have gotten yourself, in quit a hustle."

I only know one friend that speaks in rhymes like that.

"Zecora?"

The native zebra stepped out from a corner and into Twilight's view.

"I am sorry you could not see me from that view," Zecora apologized. "But I was busy mixing up a special brew."

Zecora grabbed an empty bottle from her self, and dipped it in the special brew that she was making. When she brought it back up, the bottle was filled up with a dark purple liquids. Zecora walked over to Twilight and handed her the bottle of mysterious liquids.

"Drink this special potion, and you will be filled with much emotion."

Twilight leaned back and placed the bottle in her mouth. The liquids flowed down her throat and filled Twilight's body up with the healing brew. After she had finished drinking up the brew, her scratches, her bruises, her bumps, the uncontrollable bleeding... all stopped. She did not feel a single inch of pain left in her body.

Twilight turned to her zebra friend.

"Thank you Zecora."

"Anytime." She replied. "Even though I know that it seems irritating that I always speak in rhymes." She winked at Twilight.

Twilight giggled.

Zecora pored herself some water in a tiny cup and began drinking it.

"So tell me," Zecora started up a conversation. "Why have you been roaming around this forest... did you need to flee?"

"No no no," Twilight assured her. "It's nothing like that... it's just..."

Twilight paused for a moment.

"But what?" Zecora asked, curious as to where this was going. "What could have been so important, that you had to dramatically pause for a moment?"

Twilight chuckled a little but could not find the words to say at the moment.

"Did you notice that big storm last night Zecora?" She asked. It was the best response that she could think of.

"Indeed I did," Zecora replied. "I first noticed it when I heard the screams of a kid."

"Well, you see. I was the one who caused the storm to happen." Twilight admitted in defeat. "I was taking a test run on a new spell that I had just finished up with Spike. But when I read the spell out loud... it had changed to say something else than what I had written in. And I think that that's what had caused the storm."

"Oh?!" Zecora response sounded... surprised. "And why is it that you are filled with woe?"

"Because I went with Spike to go check up on my friends. But when we finally got to where they were at they had... changed. And now they act as the complete opposite of their elements!"

Zecora's eyes widened. She did not want to startle Twilight, so instead she continued to ask more questions.

"And what makes you say, that it was you who made them this way?"

"Because I think that they were struck by the storm! And it must have shocked them of their memories because they didn't even remember me or even each other!"

Zecora set her cup down on the edge of Twilight's bed.

"And I am assuming that you were looking for a cure?" Zecora asked.

"Yes." Twilight answered. She was disappointed for the fact that she did not find the cure in the forest. "I was hoping that I could find a cure somewhere in here but... I haven't found anything that could help my friends."

Twilight's eyes began to swell up with tears. Zecora handed her a cloth that she used to whip away the tears.

"And if I don't fix this fast," Twilight continued, fear rising up in her. "Then they could be lost forever!"

"Well I do not think that you will find any answers here," Zecora motioned Twilight to get off of the bed. "But you should keep searching around. Maybe the answers will appear?"

Zecora opened the door to her cabin and Twilight trotted out. She smiled.

"Thanks Zecora. I'll try to find that cure. I promise."

She trotted onto a different path. Behind her, Twilight's Zebra friend quietly said to herself...

"Anytime Twilight. Anytime." And then she closed the door.

----------------------------------------

Twilight was peacefully trotted down the surprisingly safe path, (much safer than the other ones), when she stumbled upon a small black crystal.

"What is a crystal doing all the way out here in the everfree forest?" She asked herself, examining the black crystal. "Shouldn't these be in the crystal empire or something?"

"Your absolutely right... princess Twilight ." A strange familiar voice just spoke to her... and it came from the crystal.

Twilight gasped. She immediately through the crystal back onto the ground. A cloud of black smoke rose up from the crystal as a dark unicorn was formed from the shadows of it. Twilight's jaw dropped as her eyes widened.

"King Sombra!?"

The dark unicorn laughed maniacally.

"This cannot be happening!"

"King Sombra?" Twilight couldn't believe the pony that was standing before her. She took a few steps backward asking... "How are you doing here?"

Sombra evilly grinned at her, revealing his sharp, vampire like teeth.

"Your little friend might have destroyed my old, mortal body" Twilight was growing to become frightened. "But he didn't shatter my remains, like he should have done."

Twilight's eyes widened. "So... what your saying... is that - "

"I have survived all of these years by just possessing this one crystal." Sombra finished her sentence.

This is awful! Twilight thought.

"Did I just release you from that crystal?" She asked, although she already knew what the answer was going to be.

"Nnnuhahaha!" Sombra, once again, let out another maniacal laugh. "It would appear so...*humph*... princess."

Twilight glared at him.

"You don't have to keep calling me princess you know."

"Mmmm... a feisty little prin-uh-pony. Aren't you?" He complimented her.

Did he just... compliment me? Twilight thought to herself. At least... I think that that was a compliment.

Sombra changed the subject.

"I understand that you have had a little... error, in your new spell Twilight Sparkle."

The princess of friendship's eyes widened, as she returned a glare to him.

"How do you know about my spell?!" Twilight violently asked, her horn started to glow with a beam of magic.

"Calm yourself little pony..."Sombra grinned. "I simply heard a little... birdie tell me."

The glow from Twilight's horn died down a little.

"Who?" She asked. "WHO?! Who told you about the spell?!"

The dark unicorn chuckled. "Wouldn't you like to know... princess?"

Twilight shot a beam of magic at him, but Sombra had managed to dodge the beam by simply floating to the side... and when it was safe, he floated back.

"Ah ah ah..." Sombra teased at her."Let's not do anything that we might regret."

"I don't think i'll regret anything else that I do." Twilight replied through grudged teeth.

"What if I told you that there was a way for you to... cure your failed spell?" The dark unicorn asked.

The glow of Twilight's horn started to die down again. She looked curious instead of mad.

"Really?" She asked, filled with excitement, but trying her hardest not to show it. "You know what the cure is?"

Sombra chuckled, then returned a smile to her. "Absolutely." He told her. "But, if you wish to know what it is..."

Twilight's excitement turned into disappointment and fear.

"What?" She asked curious to what Sombra was going to say. "What do I have to do in order to save my friends?"

"Join me." He told her.

Twilight's eyes widened.

"WHAT?!" She blurted.

"In order for me to tell you what the cure is," Sombra informed her. "You must join me on my quest to take back what's mine..."

Twilight thought for a moment.

"You want to rule over the crystal empire again?"

"Yes." He answered.

"And... you want me to... help... you?"

"Correct... princess." He chuckled

Twilight glared at him, grinding her teeth together.

"And you actually think that i'm going to help you take over the crystal empire, and quit possibly, ALL OF EQUESTRIA?!"

Sombra frowned.

"Very well then."

"But, of course," Sombra broke away her thoughts. "I could just let you keep wandering around equestria, hopelessly searching for the cure... instead of just joining me. Easily letting your friends being returned back to normal." He said suddenly starting to float away.

"WAIT!" Twilight shouted. Sombra stopped.

"I will join you in quest to take over equestria." Twilight paused. "In exchange... you will restore the memories of my friends up to this day."

Twilight stepped closer to him.

"Do we have a deal?" She asked, extending her hoof for him to shake.

Sombra grinned. He turned around and whispered to her,

"We have a deal." Then shook her hoof.

"Princess."

He started to, laugh maniacally again.

After a few seconds of Sombra evil cackling, Twilight tried to let go of the hoof-shake... but couldn't. She could not remove her hoof from his.

"Your mine now princess." He cackled. The sky turned gray, the wind blew hard, and the leaves were flying rapidly around Twilight and Sombra as they started to float above the ground. She closed her eyes and tried to free herself from Sombra's grasp, but couldn't.

Twilight cried. "Help! Me!"

Sombra continued to cackle. Nopony was coming to save Twilight. She had now cursed herself with the slavery of Sombra. She could feel invisible shackles chained to her legs.

"Nopony can help you..." Sombra laughed, using hi magic to force Twilight's eyes opened. The lavender pony's eyes were full of tears and fear.

"You belong to me." Sombra eyes darkened as they turned into pitch black fog.

Twilight stared straight into the darkness of the eyes before her. She could not look away, her head was permanently... stuck. Staring into the endless eyes of her new master. Twilight could only see one thing in her eyes... darkness.

There was an explosion of a magic green, red and purple beam that came from the two ponies. An explosion that would soon spread all across equestria.

--- AT CANTERLOT CAROUSAL---

"Where is my purple ribbon?" Rarity asked herself, searching around her Carousal Boutique in Canterlot.

"SASSY!" She hollered after her assistant, her voice echoing across the room and through the house.

"Yes Rarity?" Sassy Shores shouted back the sewing room.

"YOU WOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO SEEN MY PURPLE RIBBON HAVE YOU!?"

Sassy didn't respond for a moment, but then answered with a loud -

"NO! I DON"T THINK THAT I HAVE MISS!"

Rarity frowned.

"Great!" She groaned. "Just great!" She continued to keep searching around the boutique for the missing ribbon.

"I need that ribbon for my next cat walk competition," She reminded Sassy, who was still in the sewing room. "It brings me good luck for my competitions.
Rarity smiled.

"And it does just look fabulous with my design choice" She complimented herself, afterwards becoming serious again.

"And that is why we have GOT to find it Sassy!"

"I'm on it Rarity!" The fashionista unicorn claimed.

Rarity thought to herself for a moment.

"I could have sworn that I put it over -" She paused as she turned to one of her mannequins, where her purple ribbon was lying next too.

"Of course!" Rarity beamed. She trotted over to the mannequin and grabbed the ribbon. She smiled.

"GOT IT!"

Just then, a big explosion, coming from the everfree forest, grabbed her attention away from the ribbon. She stared off into where she had heard the explosion. She saw a bright green, red and purple rainboom, flying over her and her boutique. She was about to call out for Sassy when suddenly... an image of her and the other five ponies that she had met just a few days ago, (along with the lavender one's dragon). They were all playing together, and having fun with each other.

It was working.

Rarity's memories were returning to her! After just a few seconds... she could remember everything from her real past, and up to today.

She felt her head shift back towards the window that she was just staring at. The sky was grey. And the clouds were glowing with the same color as the explosion had. Lightning shot from the sky, startling Rarity.

"What happened?" She asked herself, without knowing it.

Sassy rushed out from the sewing room when the explosion had passed.

"Lady Rarity!" She looked at Rarity with deep concern. "Is everything alright?"

Rarity's eyes were glued to the window.

"No." She answered.

"What?" Sassy asked in confusion.

"Everything is not alright!" Rarity realized. She knew what she had to do.

"Cancel my cat walk for tonight!" She ordered. But then added a little -

"Please."

Sassy's eyes widened.

She hasn't said a word like that in the last few days!
She smiled.

"Yes ma'am! On it ma'am!" She rushed out of the room, leaving Rarity to gallop out the exit, and head towards the Golden Oaks Library.

She has to be there! Rarity prayed. She just has to!

---MEANWHILE AT FLUTTERSHY"S CABIN---

"NO Angel bunny!" Fluttershy demanded, holding a large bowl of salad in one hoof. "You're going to eat this salad, and you're going to LIKE IT!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, (which wasn't very loud), with anger in her eyes.

Her other animals backed away from her, shaking in fear.

Angel bunny gave her a sad but scared look as she threw the bowl in front of him. It made a rather loud *clank* on the wooden floor. The bowl almost hit the bunny, who it was for. Angel jumped back before the bowl could accidentally on purpose slam into him. While trying to escape the strike of the bowl, he tripped over a crack in the floor and tumbled onto his back. With fear in his eyes, he quickly got back up and quickly started eating the salad.

Fluttershy lightly pet his head.

"Good boy!" She smiled.

A few moments later... there was a big explosion coming the everfree forest, grabbing Fluttershy's attention. She turned to her right and stared out of a near by window. She could see a big green, red and purple rainboom burst into the sky and flew over Fluttershy's house. When it pasted over, the creamy yellow pegasus suddenly felt dizzy and saw an image of...

"Those... weird ponies from... a few days ago?" Then, another image of her and those other ponies was seen in her eyes. She saw what looked like them... as friends. She saw them battling villains, saving equestria, and solving problems together. More images were brought to her mind... but... soon Fluttershy realized that...

They weren't just images...

They were memories. That were being restored to her. All of them. All up to today.

Soon the world stopped spinning around, and Fluttershy had a moment to reflect.

She gasped. Her eyes widened.

"Oh no!" She realized. She burst out the door and headed towards the Golden Oaks Library.

She has to be there. Fluttershy prayed. She just has to be there.

---MEANWHILE AT SWEET APPLE ACRES---

"And then -" Applejack started a new long conversation with Apple Bloom, Granny Smith and Big Macintosh. Apple Bloom was busy bucking apples out of a tree. Big Mac was busy putting in and pulling the apples in a cart, while Granny Smith was rocking back and forth in her chair.

"I said -" Applejack continued. "'I sure would like to be friends with y'all... I got all the time in the whole wide world of Equestria'. But then, one of them said... 'I don't think that's a very good idea'. And then I said... 'Well okay then! I don't need y'all anyways!'' Applejack lied.

"So... that's what happened just a few hours ago... can you believe that?" She asked the old pony in the chair before her. But Granny Smith was already fast asleep, snoring away.

"Ugh!" Applejack groaned. " I SO knew that you were gonna say that!" She lied.

A few moments later, the apples head an explosion coming from the everfree forest. Applejack quickly turned to where the explosion was coming from... and saw... a big green, red and purple rainboom that flew over the barn... blowing Applejack's hat off of her head. When the rainboom passed over... Applejack became dizzy, the world was spinning around, as she saw an image of her and the ponies that she saw from a few "hours" ago. But what she saw, showed her that they were more then just someponies... they were her friends.

A few moments later, Applejack's vision started to focus. And when they were fully focused... the first thing that she saw... was Ponyville.

Applejack grabbed her hat and put it back on.

"I need to go Granny." She told the old pony, (who was still asleep). "My friends need me!"

She started galloping towards the Golden Oaks Library.

She has to be there. Applejack prayed. She just has too!

---MEANWHILE AT SUGAR CUBE CORNER---

Pinkie Pie, (who's mane had appeared to be flattened and her skin was paler than her usual bright and happy pink), was in the middle of carefully setting down some cupcakes in a large pink box, when her toothless pet alligator, Gummy, used the leftover frosting to write the words Hello my friend on the counter. Pinkie gave him a glum look and took the leftover frosting away from him.

"Very funny." She said in a rather... flat monotone voice.

After she set the icing down, she heard a big explosion coming from outside. She quickly rushed over to a nearby window and opened it. She pocked her head out the window and was amazed at what she saw. What she saw... was a green, red and purple rainboom that flew all across equestria... including Sugar Cube Corner. Once the rainboom passed over... her vision became blurry. The wold began spinning around and around and around... the only thing that she could see... was an image of her and the strange ponies that she saw from just a few days ago.

But only...

It had appeared that they were all...

Friends. The past was quickly coming back to Pinkie. Every last detail ever since she was born up until... today.

The images stopped as Pinkie's vision cleared up and the world stopped spinning around. She realized something.

"I remember... I remember! I REMEMBER!" Her poofy, puffy bright pink hair returned to her. Her skin turned into it's nice right pink color again. She was so excited that she couldn't even think of words to say... only... really... REALLY fast...

"*GASP*! I have to go find Twilight!" She turned around and grabbed Gummy. "I have to help her! She needs to know that remember her, I mean... how could anypony forget one of their best-est friends in the whole wide world, I mean, who does that? GHAAAAAAAA!" Pinkie inhaled a breath. Exhausted from her last.

"Bye Gummy! I'll see you later!" She shouted back, as she zoomed out the door of Sugar Cube Corner, and galloped towards the Golden Oaks Library.

I hope shes still there! Pinkie thought, hopefully. I really hope that shes still there!

---MEANWHILE IN CLOUDSDALE---

Rainbow Dash was sitting lazily on her comfy cloud chair, in her house eating a bag chips and drinking a cherry soda, while watching her television. Her house... was a mess.

She took a large gulp of her drink and let out a rather loud-

*BURP!*

But as she took another gulp of her drink... she heard a loud BOOM! that came from under cloudsdale, and ended up flying over it. Rainbow turned to where the explosion was coming from. A large green, red and purple rainboom shoot through cloudsdale and through the sky. Rainbow saw the rainboom and ran out the door to see the rainboom burst right through her, sending her flying back into her house and crashing into a table. The impact of Rainbow's head and the table sent her into a coma. As her eyes began to see darkness, she saw a picture. A picture of her and the other ponies from a few days ago. And then... she blacked out.

Rainbow had a dream. A dream of her having fun with those strange ponies. They were battling villains, saving all of equestria, and solving friendship problems. The last thing that she saw... was the events from after the storm. When Rainbow had lost her memory in the first place.

After the last memory was restored, she felt her consciousness return to her, as she tried to stand up. Her legs felt like noodles. Her vision was blurry and her head was spinning. But as soon as her eyes cleared up, the first thing that came into her mind was-

"TWILIGHT!"

Rainbow dashed out of house and raced towards Ponyville.

She has to be there. Rainbow prayed. She just has to be.

As our heroes raced towards the golden oaks library, Twilight still struggled to release herself from Sombra's grasp...
Until...

THUD!

Sombra finally released the princess of friendship. She landed on the hard ground, her eyes glowed with green and green and purple fog blew out of her pupils. Tears burned down the sides of her face.

"Why?" Twilight quivered. "Why does it hurt?"

"Oh did I forget to tell you?" Sombra asked with a criminal smile. "In order for you to restore your friends memories... you would have to surrender yours... to me!"

Twilight let out an uncontrollable cough.

" You're a monster!" She croaked.

"Thank you *hahaha*... thank you." Sombra took her insult as a compliment.

"MY SLAVE!"

"HAHAHAHAHA!"
