For too long we have been viewed as pests! Something to toss their scraps to thinking we would be happy with them! No longer will we sit idly by while they live in vanity and we eating the crumbs that fall from the table! Today marks our REVOLUTION!” A mass of cheers went out among the large group. An army stood before their leader prepared for a war. Their leader standing tall, his armor glistening in the sun as he lead the charge for his people. Who you ask is this revolution for, why it's the pigeons. There are here at Canterlot to fight for a better lot in life. With a great cheer the mass of armor and gray feathers descended from the rooftops. The glint of metal and the sound of wings beats could be heard as possible miss dove for cover from the air raid. Making a path for the castle the vast army of pigeons began their assault on the pristine be white castle and golden guards defending it. Said guards quickly became swept up in the mass of wings and tiny armor. While one pony was about the size of 10 pigeons, the small birds outnumbered the guards 30 to 1. Pegasus couldn't fly due to the number of other wings in the air, Unicorns couldn't cast fast enough to get all the birds, and the earth ponies too slow to even hit them. Soon the gates of the castle where taken. The guards tied up in piles with minor cuts and bruises, and more than a few white stains from the pigeons “missiles”. Needles to say the guards felt quite ashamed that they had been captured by birds, pigeons no less. “Onward brothers! We shall topple the ponies on this day!” The pigeon leader called from the head of the assault. Fluttering over the gates pigeons poured into the castle from both doors and windows. Maids ran screaming, guards stood in shock to what they witnessed. This assaulting force held no problems in taking down those unnerved by pigeons in armor. Lucky in the tight quarters of the castle hallways the guards were able to put up more of a fight against the flock of invaders. Sadly this did not last long for the birds still held numbers in their favor. The front line of the castle defence was that of the study earth ponies working their best to try and kick or punch at the birds, as spears held almost no chance of hitting the assaulting Pigeons. To make matters worse their armor was of high enough quality to stop even the few lucky hits with stronger weapons. Small swords held in the foot of each pigeon soldier slowly cutting away at uncovers spots in the pony armor. The battle slow being pushed back to the throne room of the castle. “Fall back, protect the Princes!” the guards call hurrying down the halls to try and barricade the doors from the flying invaders. As the panting members of her guard burst into the throne room Celestia looked on puzzled. “Captain? What seems to be the matter?” She asked looking over the ragged members of the Solar Guard. “The Pigeons, Princess. They have attacked us!” the lightly bleeding captain spoke out as the others pushed what the could into the doors to keep out the birds. Celestia chuckled at this, “You can’t expect me to believe that Pigeons are responsible for your state Captain.” When he nodded sadly, Tia huffed “This must be a prank by luna then…” A loud cry came out as the doors broke in and pigeons came flying in, carrying nets and inhibitor rings. Dropping the payload over the remaining guards the pigeons let out battle cries as the fight drew to a close. The silver and golden armor of the two sides coming to blows before Celestia. “They broke into the armory!” a Unicorn screamed as inhibitor rings with royal marks fell from the sky. The weighted nets, that took 10 pigeon teams to move did plenty to retrain two to three ponies at a time. The mass of birds working well to tie up or immobilize the remaining guards. “Ha ha. Luna enough jokes!” Celestia called out over the battlefield in a humorous tone. The smile on the Solar mares face soon falling as she saw her sister get carried in on the backs of 20 pigeons. Her sister's legs and wings bound, with a ring around her horn to keep Luna from casting spells. “What?!” Celestia Squaked as she saw even her sister having been defeated by the small birds. “Surrender Celestia! The day is ours!” The lead pigeon call out standing before the much larger mare, the last of the guard being carted off to a corner in ropes and chains. “How….” She spoke, the solar mare’s eyes locked on the leader of the pigeon revolution. Lighting her horn up Celestia quickly sent a letter to the one group of ponies who could help to deal with this situation. Down in ponyville things were as calm as any ordinary day. The mane 6 sat around a picnic blanket talking to one another about their days. Only for Spike to interrupt with the letter from the princess. “Ah Twilight you need to read this.” The small drake said passing the parchment over to the lavender unicorn. Twilight’s eyes scanned over the letter quickly, “Why would pigeons attack Canterlot?!” “Pigeons?” Rainbow Dash chuckled. “With armor it seems.” Twilight added, getting a disbelieving noise from the others. “How do pigeons even get armor?” Applejack asked puzzled. “Or learn to fight.” Dash added. Fluttershy quietly scuffed at the grass, “Um…” “Shy you didn't?” Applejack asked. “All I did was tell Mr. Pigeon he should find a dream and follow it… and give him some books of revolutions” The quiet mare said behind her mane. The rest of the group performing a collective face hoof. “Sorry….” “The day is ours!” The Pigeon Leader shouted, sitting atop Celestia’s former throne. Two alicorns left tied at the feet of said throne and a palace filled with birds.
