> Lord Of ARMs > by Xenoguyver > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1 (Edited) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Guy had arrived at the con, dressed up as Knight Blazer. Guy was not exactly........fit. He was almost 300 pounds and it was not muscle. He knew he did not pull off the outfit very well with his size, but he dressed up anyway since he remembered there are guys with figures like his that went to conventions dressed up as more ripped characters like Wolverine and Kratos. He figured he might as well ignore his insecurities and just just go have fun. He got a few comments, positive ones and sometimes questions as to who he was dressed as. Guy shared the info and was glad that he had at least introduced people to the game series Knight Blazer is from. The character he is cosplaying as, Knight Blazer, is a character from a little known RPG game series called Wild ARMs. He only showed up in one of the games and was a secret costume in another. He liked the games and found them to be just as fun as Final Fantasy, but Wild ARMs had a more "Fantasy Western" feel to it since there was at LEAST one character per game that used a gun of one sort or another. But what he liked about Knight Blazer is how the lead character of Wild ARMs 2, Ashley, he gets turned into a monster along with everyone else at the inauguration party they are at, grabbed a holy sword at said inauguration party he is at. He then gets turned into Knight Blazer for just a moment, then turned back into a human. It is later revealed he is the sole survivor of the event and later gained the power to transform into Knight Blazer at will. It is even later revealed how Knight Blazer is actually a warrior that used the power of a POWERFUL being called Lord Blazer, a "Fallen God" of sorts and was known as "The Blaze Of Disaster" for nearly bringing about the extinction of all life on the world of Filgaia. Aside from that, he looked around at the con while dressed up as Knight Blazer, having fun at his first ever con. He had heard about how some people had disappeared from cons lately. He was nervous at first from the news about all the disappearances, but was willing to go anyway. He just wanted to have fun. As he looked around, he heard a voice call out. "Hello there Knight Blazer." he looked and saw someone dressed up like Irving Vold Valeria, crutch, long hair and all, and the man who ran the ARMs organization from Wild Arms 2. He grinned and walked up to Irving. "Hey there Irving! How's things going?" He said, getting into character just for fun. Irving just grinned and chuckled. "Well, aside from playing the role just for fun, I'm simply trying to do business." Guy looked down at the table and stared in shock. He sees that Irving has ALL the Mediums from Wild ARMs 1 AND Alter Code F, Including the Gold Mediums of the Guardian Lords. As well as the Twin Fenrir guns from Wild Arms 5. Guy looked back up at the merchant. "How much for all the mediums and the Twin Fenrir?" Guy asked him. Irving nodded and grinned at Guy. "Price is around 2 grand altogether." Guy very visibly cringed at the price for the items. 'Ouch.' Guy thought to himself. But what Irving said next has Guy stunned for a few seconds. "But since you are a fellow fan for a little known classic series, I'll drop it to just 100 bucks for the Mediums and an extra 50 for the Twin Fenrir. I'll even toss in a special carrying case for the whole lot of Mediums and a special holster for the Twin Fenrir for free." Irving said with a grin. What Guy was just told stunned him for a few seconds. "Are you sure?" He asked the merchant. "These ALL look top quality. Heck, the Twin Fenrir actually LOOK like they are made of metal and not plastic. And the Mediums actually look like aged stone tablets!" Irving just chuckled and grinned at Guy. "It's okay. I get the feeling that these would be a worthwhile purchase for you." Guy nodded quietly, not disagreeing with him. If anything, these would be fantastic purchases. Still though.......'Ah what the hell. Live only once as they say.' Guy thought to himself. "Alright. You've got a deal Irving." Guy said with a grin. He then proceeded to purchase the items. Irving then gave Guy a special carry case for the Mediums and the holsters for the Twin Fenrir like he promised. What he asked Guy next SHOULD have set off alarm bells in Guy's head, but how the hell was he supposed to know what happend next? "If those Mediums were real and the Twin Fenrir and the power of Knight Blazer was real as well, and you were the only one to use them all......What would you do with them?" He asked Guy. Guy just chuckled and grinned at him. "I would use these to try and protect those that NEED that kind of protection. Thankfully, there is no threat in this world big enough to NEED this kind of power." Irving just grinned and chuckled a bit as well. "True. Well, have fun Knight Blazer." Guy nods in return, thanking him for the items. Guy left him but after walking a few feet, he blacks out. Equestria post first sealing of Discord Celestia and Luna had recently sealed (turned into a stone statue) a Spirit Of Chaos known as Discord. It took a few seconds for everything to change back to normal, but it took all their ponies several MONTHS to calm down after what he did. Luna did her best at night to help her and her sister's subjects during their dreams. Some of them suffered some nightmares, or in the worst case of some of the ponies, night TERRORS. Luna really did use up a lot of power to deal with those to help them sleep peacefully. Celestia did her best during the Day Court to delegate things to the proper individuals and tried to settle disputes, both major and minor, to maintain the peace that she and her sister Luna had restored. It is during the Day Court that one of their guards came running in with a messenger, both of them frantic. The messenger babbling in fear. Celestia walked up and put a hand onto the messengers shoulder. Celestia then gave her a comforting smile. "Be calm my little pony. Now then, what is it that has you so fearful?" The messenger took a few deep breaths to calm down. She then spoke up. "Your Highness, there is a strange pony-noid creature at the edge of Canterlot causing chaos. The guards nearby have managed to hold it off and there has been no casualty's. But despite that, the guards are slowly losing to this creature." Celestia nodded and smiled warmly. "Thank you for delivering this message." She then looked to the guard that came with the messenger. "Take her to one of the guest rooms to help her calm down. My sister and I shall take care of this 'creature'." The guard nodded and helped the messenger. Celestia then went to find her sister. She soon found Luna in her room sleeping. "Luna, wake up. Our ponies need us. Get the Elements. This creature might be something of Discord's make that is lingering." Luna slowly woke up and grumbled a bit, her coat and mane a bit messed up from how her sleep has been fitful and the use of her magic to help deal with ponies night terrors. "Sister, this creature BETTER be one of Discord's because I need something to vent some stress on with all the night terrors our ponies have been having the last few months." Celestia nodded in understanding. "I understand Luna. Come. We must hurry." Luna nodded and with a flash of her magic, she no longer looks like a tired mess and is dressed. She left the castle with Celestia and the Elements to deal with whatever the creature is. Earlier, Edge of Canterlot Guy woke up, surprised that he blacked out and ended up unconscious. He slowly got up and shook his head a bit. The last thing he remembered was being at the convention and buying some Wild ARMs related items, then nothing. He then heard a scream of terror. He jumped up, looked around to see who screamed and froze in shock. He saw he was surrounded by various humanoid ponies. But they were all looking at him. With fear and terror in their eyes? 'Why are they scared of me? How the hell did I get here anyway?' He thought to himself. Some more of the humanoid ponies appeared, but they're covered in armor and wielding weapons like swords, shields, crossbows and spears. "Leave monster, or you WILL be killed." 'Monster? Me? What's going on? Guy was taking too long to answer or react to them so they charged him. Guy ended up fighting them for a while and sending them back, not wanting to hurt them or even kill them. But the more he sent back, the more soldiers arrived to fight him, confusing him further. Soon, after fighting who knows how many of these pony soldiers, he managed to calm down and breathe a bit easier. But something catches his eye. He looks down and sees one of the shields they had dropped. But what he saw in the reflection is not his human face or him in his costume at all. He looks like Protoblazer. He began to panic, not thinking clearly. In his panic, he looked at his arms, seeing the pale bone-white "armor" and purple "muscle" and how his hands are three thick and dangerous looking claws. He then looked down at his torso and sees the hole that takes up most of it. Guy took a few steps back and grabbed his head, his reflection doing the same thing. He feels how his head is smooth and skull-like. 'This can't be happening! This can't be happening!' he repeatedly thought in a panic. He didn't see it in his panic, but the soldiers around him stare at his actions in confusion, wondering why he is acting like this. Guy saw that his transformation is real. He wasn't human anymore. He had really become a monster. He leaned his head back and tried to scream, but ended up letting out a roaring howl of agony and despair. It was at this point that Celestia and Luna arrived. Celestia and Luna heard Guy's roaring howl, and their empathic side sensed the sadness and despair in the noise he made. They then saw Guy fall to the ground, hunched over with his hands covering his head. His body shivering. Luna, seeing the same body language in many of the ponies she has helped during their night terrors, recognized the symptoms. The creature was scared. Of its own appearance if the reaction to its reflection is anything to go by. "Sister. This creature.....I really don't think this is one of Discord's creations. This creature is something else entirely. If anything, its reaction to its reflection says this is not what it normally looks like." Luna said to Celestia. Celestia nodded in agreement. "Knights, stand down." Celestia ordered, surprising the knights around them. One of the knights, a captain, spoke up. "What? But your highness thi-" Celestia looked at the captain seriously and spoke in an even tone. "I said, stand down." The captain nodded. He was about to tell the rest of the soldiers to stand down, but one of the other knights, a rookie, and one of the ones who was wielding a crossbow, was so nervous, he ended up pulling the trigger and shooting a bolt into the side of Guy. Guy then stood up and let out a roar of pain and glared at the one who shot him. Guy got up and slowly started walking to the one who shot him while growling. He has had a bit of an info overload with his current situation. So many things happend at once, his mind ended up shutting down and going feral thanks to his new form. Before he could start running, Luna ran up and wrapped her arms and wings around him as well as wrapping a "coat" of her magic around him, calming him down while she whispered soothing words into where she assumes his ears would be. Like a parent or elder sibling would to their scared child or younger sibling. The combination of what Luna did started to work. The growls coming from Guy started to fade. He then fell to his knees and then leaned against her, his body language saying he had fallen asleep. Luna kept hold of Guy and glared at the rookie who ended up shooting Guy and nearly making things worse. The rookie in question looked down knowing he screwed up. The captain took the rookie to reprimand him, while the rest of the guards started to disperse the crowd that was growing. Celestia walked up to Luna and knelt down next to her. "We should take him back to the castle. Since he is asleep, you can probably help him in his dreams." Celestia said. Luna nodded in agreement, feeling sorry for the creature in her arms. The sister then heard something walking toward them. They looked at where the sound is coming from and what they saw surprises them both. It was a large wolf-like creature. Emphasis on LARGE. At the shoulder, it was a good 5 feet high. It was purple with bits of red. It had a mane, almost like a lion, four "tusks" coming out of its jaw and three wicked looking claws on each of its four paws. The front legs have an extra claw/spike sticking out at the elbow, and its belly had what looked like plates or scales, similar to that of a dragon. Its eyes were yellow and slitted. There was an aura of danger around it, but at the same time, it was also not giving off any hostility or malice at all and it has something else in its aura that is somehow familiar to them. They then noticed that it is carried some things in its jaw. It put the items down, sat down and looked at them. What it did next, surprised them both. "Pleasure to meet you two. I am Lucied. Guardian Lord of Desire." The wolf, now known as Lucied, said. Its voice male and deep to the point it was somewhat threatening but also protective. It then spoke some more while Luna and Celestia were still somewhat stunned. "These items belong to him." Lucied gestured to Guy asleep in Luna's arms. "But for now, me and you two have much to speak about." > Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1500 years later Canterlot a few minutes before the start of the Summer Sun Celebration Celestia walked through her castle in the middle of the night, deep in thought. She remembered when the Guardian Lord of Desire appeared before her and her sister. She also remembered what he had spoken to her and Luna about. Lucied had explained what a Guardian was, and what a Guardian Lord was as well. The information was............mind boggling for her at the time. The revelation that the Guardians were essentially GODS, beings in power superior to her and Luna. Lucied had told them that the Guardians and Guardian Lords were not going to take over their kingdom or world. They all represented and governed over aspects of Nature and Reality, maintaining balance. But there was a great threat coming. Not just to her ponies and country, but the whole world. That worried her and Luna. But Lucied had told them the strange creature they had just met at the time had a great burden placed on him, but he was too 'weak' at the time. Thus his form that Lucied said was called a "Protoblazer". He asked them to place him in a certain place and use their magic to place the Protoblazer into a 'pseudo-suspended animation' so that his body can start adjusting to his new body and power. They had done so and Lucied then asked for more help. He had asked them to keep the two "ARMs", called Twin Fenrir, close to them so they can be returned to this strange creature when he wakes up in the future. Soon after, the Guardians were explained to not just her ponies, but also other races. They were all fearful of these new beings at first, but gradually all races of the world began to get used to them and their subtle power. 10 years after the "introduction" of the Guardians, they were starting to be worshiped, and even the various races asked and/or prayed to them for their blessings in various things. The Guardian Lords, the strongest ones who ruled and governed over the four strongest emotions of the heart however.....They remained neutral in everything as did all the Guardians. Celestia stepped out to a balcony looked up at the moon sadly, staring at the Mare In The Moon, remembering how she had to banish her sister to it one thousand years ago. She just knows that Luna is going to return soon. She also hopes that her faithful student Twilight Sparkle will be able to find the Elements of Harmony, as well as other ponies compatible with them, and turn her sister back to normal. She also sent Twilight to Ponyville to find not just some friends, but also sent with Twilight the Twin Fenrir ARMs. Celestia had a feeling that this was a good time to "return" the weapons. She still beat herself up about how she had not noticed how her Luna, her sister, was feeling at the time. How Luna thought that ponies did not appreciate all the work she put into the night. "Twilight, please help my sister." Celestia quietly said to herself. She saw the Mare In The Moon disappear and her eyes widened. She heard an evil chuckle behind her. She turned but all she saw before she blacked out is a black furred figure with wings, a horn and a dark, menacing glow to her mane and tail. Timeskip Castle of the Twin Pony Sisters Everfree Forest A group of 6 young women who all look to be 19-20 years of age, all lay sprawled on the ground before Nightmare Moon who laughed victoriously over them. "Pathetic foals. It looks like even though you have obtained the Elements, you are not yet able to use enough of their power to defeat me." Nightmare Moon said with a grin. The girls all glared up at her, too weak after such an early attempt at using the Elements. Two of the girls are Pegasi. One with blue fur on her body, a rainbow colored hair and tail and a rainbow lightning bolt coming out of a cloud. This is Rainbow Dash, the self proclaimed "fastest flyer in Equestria" and head of the Ponyville weather team. But at the moment, she is on her hands and knees, tried to stand back up but failed and glared at Nightmare Moon. The other Pegasus had an almost buttercream color coat, peach color hair and tail and her cutie mark is three butterflies with dotted lines behind them. This is Fluttershy, Ponyville's gentle local vet and animal caretaker, and she tried to get off the ground like Rainbow. But unlike Rainbow, she stared at Nightmare Moon fearfully, but still kept trying to get up. Another two of the girls, a pair of Earth Ponies also tried to get up, but like Dash and Fluttershy, have been failing. One of them has orange fur on her body with a blonde colored hair and tail, her cutie mark being three apples. The other Earth Pony has a light pink coat of fur with her hair and tail being a darker pink, her cutie mark being three party balloons. These two are Applejack, Ponyville's local apple farmer, and Pinkie Pie, Ponyville's Premier Party Pony. The last two girls are a pair of Unicorns. One of them has a pale pearl colored fur with a rich dark purple hair and tail, her cutie mark a trio of diamonds. This is Rarity, Ponyville's local dress designer/fashionista. The other one has a lavender coat of fur, her hair and tail made of a very dark purple with a pair of streaks in them. One pink the other purple. Her cutie mark is a six pointed star with several other stars around it. This is Twilight Sparkle, the prized and dear student of Princess Celestia. Twilight tried to warn Celestia about Nightmare Moons coming, but she was instead sent to Ponyville to prepare it for this years Summer Sun Celebration and to, in Celestia's words according to the letter Twilight got from her, "make some friends". When she realized the girls she traveled into the Everfree Forest with to find the Elements Of Harmony were true friends, and they all activated said Elements, she was hopeful. But now, since they had failed, because according to Nightmare Moon they didn't build up enough of a "charge", things looked bleak. Nightmare Moon stood over all of them, laughing and enjoying her inevitable victory. She soon stopped laughing and grinned at them, then raised a hand above her. Moon then gathered magic into it, preparing to blast Twilight and her friends into oblivion, along with the Elements. "Now, to end you and destroy the Elements. And my rule will be ETER-" Before she finished the last word there is a loud sound from behind her. BOOM! The sound causes her to jump in surprise and spin in place, the magic she gathered so far dispersed harmlessly. The tired girls then looked behind Moon. The ground started to look uneven. BOOM! The ground swelled up for a moment before going back down. The sight confused the girls on the ground, but Nightmare Moon had a strange feeling. Like she knows what it is but it is hidden from her. In the back of her mind. There is a sudden explosion of dirt, rock and granite as the ground exploded. There was a sudden growl from the dust cloud. There was then the sound of footsteps. Out of the dirt cloud is Guy still in his Protoblazer form. Guy saw the girls on the ground, and recognized them as anthro versions of what he saw on the cartoon back at home. Ah jeez. First I wake up surrounded by humanoid horse people who were scared of me, then I was almost killed by soldiers of said horse people, now I wake up here when they are beating Nightmare Moon? And why are they tired? They have the Elements, but why is Nightmare still here? Am I missing something? Guy thought to himself. Nightmare Moon grins and laughs some more. Remembering when she first saw Guy. "Oh how delicious. No need for me to dirty my hands. I can just let the monster deal with you foals." she said as she stepped to the side. Guy glances at Nightmare Moon as she moves aside. The hell? She wants me to kill them? Yeah. NOT gonna happen lady. Guy thought sarcastically. The sight of him scared the girls as Guy walked up to them. He soon stopped in front of Twilight and reached out to her. She flinched thinking she is going to be killed by Guy. "LEAVE HER ALONE MONSTER!" Rainbow Dash screamed out. The others each said their own version of what Rainbow had said. Guy stopped for a moment, looked at them then back at Twilight. The sight of them scared of him hurt, but the sight of them being hurt bothered him even more. He saw that the Element Of Magic had fallen from Twilight's head. He knelt down and picked it up, placing it back on Twilight's head. The action caused her and her new friends to stare at him in confusion. Nightmare Moon snarled and stormed up to him. "NO! You are supposed to KILL THEM not HELP THEM!" she snarled as she stood next to him then faced the girls again. "Oh, if you want something done, you have to do it yourself!" She charged her magic up again and was about to kill the girls. Suddenly, a bone white fist appeared in her vision and sent her flying away from the girls. Moon then slammed into a wall. The action surprised her, causing her spell to disperse harmlessly again. The action Guy had done shocked the girls on the ground. Guy then turned and took a combat ready stance. 'This creature is helping us? Why? And why does it seem familiar for some reason?' Twilight thought to herself. Guy looked back at the girls over his shoulder for a moment, then turned to focus mainly on Nightmare Moon. 'I don't know how I got here or why I am in this form, but I will use it to help them.' He clenched his monstrous clawed hands for a moment as he remembered what he said to that merchant dressed as Irving just before he became what he is now. 'I made a vow that if I ever had the power of Knight Blazer, I would use it to protect those who need it. These girls look like they need help right now.' He glared at Nightmare Moon as he got into the combat stance used by Protoblazer in the game. This form might not be Knight Blazer, but I can't be picky if I want to fight and survive. Nightmare Moon pulled herself from the wall and snarled, returning her own glare at Guy. "Fine. If you want to die with them SO BE IT CREATURE!" Guy growled back at her and charged at Moon while she charged some of her magic. Before Guy reached her, she blasted him, the spell strong enough to send Guy flying back and smashed into the wall opposite of Moon. Guy fell from the wall and knelt for a few moments, shaking his head. 'Gah. That hurt.' He thought to himself. He got up and roared, and charged back at Moon. Moon shot a few more spells at him, but he barely dodged them. He managed to get close to her and grabbed one of her arms. He swung around and slammed her back into the wall and started wailing on her. He has never fought before in his life so his swings were wild. Moon managed to dodge most of his blows, but Guy still managed to get a few good hits in. "ENOUGH!" Moon yells and sent out a pulse of magic that sent Guy flying away from her again, but he landed in front of Twilight and the others on his back. He rolled over and looked at the Elements on them. He looked Twilight in the eyes, used a hand to gesture to her Element Of Magic and back at Nightmare Moon. Twilight blinked a few times before getting what he is 'saying'. She shook her head in the negative. "We haven't built up enough power in them. They still need a bit more time." Guy nodded. He got back up, turned to face Nightmare and charged her again. Moon blasted him with her magic again and again, but Guy soldiered through it and grabbed her. He first hit Moon with a basic punch to her face, kneed her in the stomach hard enough to make Moon bend over, gave her a quick uppercut to her head and then did a basic headbutt, making sure not to impale his head on her horn. Moon had a semi bleary look in her eyes as the blows, while basic and not that complex, were strong with his Protoblazer form and the blows to her head gave her a minor concussion. Guy then threw Moon to the floor where she landed on her back. He flipped her over and lifted her upper body, pinning her arms and wings to her by holding her tightly. Moon's head lolled from side to side as she still suffered from the concussion Guy gave her and a good deal of dizziness. Guy looked at Twilight and used his head to gesture to Moon and her friends. Twilight blinked again and nodded. She then turned to look at her new friends. "Okay girls. It's giving us a chance to do this again. Think you are all up for one more shot?" Twilight asked. "Always Twilight." Rainbow Dash said with a cocky grin. Fluttershy just nodded with a serious but still somewhat nervous look on her face. "Ah'm ready for another shot Twi." Applejack said with a smirk. "Yepperooni." Said Pinkie Pie with a wide grin on her face. "Of course darling." Rarity said with a smile. Twilight smiled at them all and nodded. They all got up, gathered power into their Elements one more time. Guy just watched them charge up, while making sure he kept his grip on Nightmare Moon to prevent her from escaping. Soon, the girls were almost finished charging up when Moon came out of her concussed state. She looked at the girls and her eyes widened in fear. "NO! NO! NO!" She tried to escape but found she was being held in place. She looked to see what held her and saw the white and purple arms of the "creature". She looked over her shoulder and stared at Guy. "Let me go!" She yelled as she struggled. Guy held her tight and shook his head. "But you will be blasted by the Elements as well!" She yelled. Guy nodded and held Moon more tightly with how much she was struggling. It was at this point, that Twilight and her new friends had fully charged the Elements. They released the power in a rainbow beam of light. Moon stared at the incoming light and screamed. Guy, still holding onto Moon, saw the light and since he didn't have a mouth, just grinned in his mind. He then remembered this one line he heard a few times back home as a meme slash reference to this power that Twilight and her friends used. 'Taste The Rainbow Motherfucker.' Guy thought. It was at that point that the full power of the Elements had hit Moon with such force, he lost his grip on her and was caught up in the rainbow tornado from the power of the Elements Of Harmony. He saw as the darkness within Moon was drained out of her by the power of the Elements and she slowly turned back into Luna, but also shrank down to the size of a somewhat tall teenager. Guy suddenly spasmed as he felt a strange pain surge through him. He looked down at his hands and saw his clawed getting darker, narrower, essentially becoming a more human shape. Before he could process what he was seeing, he was thrown from the tornado into a wall behind him. He hit the wall so hard, some of the wall collapsed around him. He soon blacked out. Guy soon woke up a few minutes later. He shook his head started to get up, but noticed how his form is not longer Protoblazer. It was more human. He looked at himself and saw how he looked like he was wearing a black and red armor, his hands look like they still had claws, but their overall shape was still human. The back of his hands and the back of his forearms had what looked like red armor extensions. He put his hands on his head and felt what seemed to be a helmet of sorts with a red visor sticking out slightly and curving down, like the beak of a bird of prey. At his waist was a pair of pauldron like extensions. He also noticed the worn scarf slash cape hanging down over his shoulder, the sight he always found reminiscent of Kamen Rider. He grinned under his helmet as he made a sudden realization. 'The Elements Of Harmony must have acted like a replacement for Argetlahm.' Guy thought. He then heard a voice in his head not his own. It sounded deep and gruff. -FINALLY! About time a connection got started!- Guy had frozen up at the extra voice in his head. Guy knew there was only two possible reasons to hear a voice like that in his head. One was he was finally going crazy and had snapped. The other possibility is that he is hearing the voice of Lord Blazer, the legendary "Blaze Of Disaster" and fallen Guardian, the source of Knight Blazer's power. Neither prospect was very reassuring. 'Um, Lord Blazer?' Guy asked in his head, and he already felt like a lunatic for even doing so. -Well I certainly am not the damn Easter Bunny! Look, we can talk later, there is no time right now. LOOK IN FRONT OF YOU!- Guy finally became aware of his surroundings and saw in front of him Twilight and her friends, Celestia and Luna all gathered looking scared of Nightmare Moon in front of them all with a pissed off look on her face. Nightmare Moon was also collecting a LOT of magic into her hands as well. 'What the? How? Damnit! Blazer's right.' He thought to himself. He looked around for something and only saw the large pieces of rubble from the wall he hit around him. 'Better than nothing!' He grabbed a piece of rubble 4 times the size of his head and was surprised at how light it was. He decided he would figure out why later. "HEY CRAZY BITCH!" Guy yelled out, a part of him both surprised and relieved that he can talk now. He chucked the large stone at Nightmare Moon. It flew and hit her in the head, breaking apart from the impact and causing Moon to lose her concentration on the magic she was gathering. She turned to glare at the one who threw the stone at her head but her look of surprise was shared by the others at the sight of his current form. Guy just grinned under his helmet but was nervous inside. "Forget about me? How about you take me on instead?" > Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some time before Guy's awakening as Knight Blazer Twilight and her friends looked up after they collapsed from the second, more powerful charge of the Elements. They saw a figure that looked like a somewhat tall teenager unconscious on the ground. She had large wings fitting her size, a horn of equal fitting size, a light navy blue fur and her mane and tail had a lighter, more peaceful and serene night time glow to them. Dawn soon broke through a nearby window and Celestia appeared in a flash of golden sunlight and magic. Twilight looked at Celestia with a look of confusion. "Princess Celestia? Who's she? We hit Nightmare Moon and that strange pale creature that helped us and now this girl is here." Twilight asked. Celestia smiled warmly at Twilight and her friends as she walked up to the unconscious Alicorn. Celestia looked back at said Alicorn and smiled wider when she saw her wake up. "Hello Luna. My sister. It has been so long." Celestia said as she knelt down. Twilight and her friends stared in surprise. "Sister?" Twilight said softly, confused even more. Luna looked up at Celestia with tears in her eyes. "OH SISTER!" Luna hugged Celestia and sobbed in happiness at being back with Celestia. Celestia returned the hug and cried just as hard as Luna. After they both had a good cry, Celestia looked at Twilight and her friends with the warmest smile they had ever seen on Celestia's face. "Can you please tell me what happend here first please Twilight?" Celestia asked. Twilight nodded, and with the help of her new friends, they told Celestia of the battle with Nightmare Moon. From the failed first attempted use of the Elements, the help of the strange white and purple creature all the way to where they are now. Celestia nodded at their story. Twilight then asked Celestia a question that has been bothering her for the last few minutes. "Princess Celestia, why did she call you sister?" Celestia smiled and proceeded to explain. "Nightmare Moon was Princess Luna. My sister. But with how blind I was to Luna's feelings and how she had thought our little ponies did not appreciate the work she put into her nights and protected them in their dreams, I could not prevent the darkness overcoming her which turned her into Nightmare Moon." Celestia explained with a sad frown at the end of her explanation. Luna shook her head at that. "No sister. I'll admit I was upset about that, but it was not either of our faults entirely." Luna said, gaining Celestia's attention, as well as Twilight and her friends. "What do you mean Luna?" Celestia asked, concern in her voice. Luna looked nervous and somewhat scared. "Well, I felt like something was.....I don't know, antagonizing I think, my emotions and feelings to a darker path. In hindsight, I'd almost think I was actually manipulated into becoming Nightmare Moon." Luna said, the guess had all the other girls eyes widen at the terrifying thought. "Not really 'manipulated' per se, more Cursed than anything else." Said a familiar voice. Luna, Celestia and the new Element Bearers whipped their heads to the side and saw Nightmare Moon, who grinned ferally at them all. "And thanks to the Elements, I am free. Since I can't have YOU around, I might as well just kill you all and proceed to do what 'whiny wittle wuna' FAILED to do!" Moon stated as she smirked. Moon reveled in the fear in their eyes. Just as she was about to cast a spell to kill them all....... "HEY CRAZY BITCH!" SMASH A large rock was thrown out of nowhere and shattered to pieces upon impact with Moon's head. The hit caught her by surprise. She and her potential victims turned to see where the rock came from. Moon had a look of surprise, which had turned into a glare as she got a look at the armored figure. "Forget about me? How about you take me on instead?" Guy said to Moon. Moon snarled at him. "Who the buck are you?" Guy just chuckled and grinned even more under his helmet. "I'll give you a hint. What was with you at the time, pinning you down so you can get blasted with the Elements?" Moon blinked a few times before her eyes widened. "YOU'RE THAT CREATURE!? HOW?" Nightmare Moon screeched out. Guy just shrugged. 'What the hell am I doing?' Guy nervously thought to himself. "That form was called Protoblazer. It was an.....incomplete form so to speak. It needed "holy" energies from a powerful artifact, or something equal to it to complete the change into what I am now. The Elements Of Harmony were a suitable alternative." Guy looks at Twilight and her friends. "And I am thankful for their help." Nightmare Moon quickly charged up a powerful and dangerous amount of magic. "YOU'RE DEAD IS WHAT YOU ARE! DIE!" She shot the powerful blast of magic at Guy. Guy had crossed his arms over his face. The spell had impacted him and caused a large explosion, smoke, dust and small pieces of debris flying everywhere. Everything was silent for a few moments. "Was that the best you've got?" Guys voice said from the smoke, surprising everyone that he survived. The smoke and dust dispersed revealing Guy is still alive and unharmed. 'Lord Blazer, are you up for helping me out here?' Guy asked Lord Blazer in his head. He heard a snort come from Lord Blazer. -Of course. You don't have the right training yet. In the meantime, show miss crazy who she is messing with.- Lord Blazer said. Guy chuckled in his head while grinning widely. 'You got it partner.' [Optional background music] Guy lowered his arms and glared back at Moon. "I bear the title of Knight Blazer, and I will NOT let you harm ANYONE. NOT WHILE I'M ALIVE!" Guy roared out those last words as he swung his left arm to his side to emphasize what he said, his scarf flaring behind him. Guy had also unconsciously flared some of his power at the motion that a minor blast of wind blew away what remained of the dust and debris in the air around him revealing his whole form to them all. Guy's right hand then moved on its own. A small orb of light appeared in the palm. Guy clenched his right hand into a fist. From his fist came an energy blade 6 feet long that when activated, created a certain distinct sound. 'Huh. Activates similar to Ryoko's energy swords from Tenchi Muyo instead of summoning something similar to a lightsaber grip, while still making the sound of a Star Wars lightsaber. Nice.' Guy thought, a small part of him enjoying the whole surreal experience. -OI! Less fawning over the weapon and more fighting the crazy psycho.- Lord Blazer shouted out. Guy focused back on Moon at that and saw she started shooting more magic blasts at him. Guy charged toward her, swinging his energy blade at the magic attacks clumsily the whole way. Each time he hit the spells, he sent them flying away from him, but some of them still hit him. He closed in on her quickly and before she could react at his close proximity, he tackled her, sending both of them into and through a wall, taking the battle outside. The girls still inside the old castle just ran up to the new hole in the wall and watched the battle continue from there. Guy and Moon rolled on the ground for a bit before Moon kicked Guy off. Guy rolled on the ground a few times from being kicked off before he stopped. He slowly got up and shook his head, slightly dizzy. Moon snarled at Guy and charged at him. She blasted some magic at him as she created a sword made up of her magic in her right hand at the same time. Guy looked up and actually yelped in surprise as he brought his sword up to defend himself. He managed to block a few of the blasts but still got hit with a good number of them. Moon soon got close enough and swung her magic crafted blade at him. Guy barely managed to block the strike. He then took a chance and with his free hand, threw a punch to Moon's gut and got a successful hit. Moon let out a -whoof- as some air was shoved out of her lungs from the punch. She growled at him and swung her sword at him haphazardly. With Moon being even clumsier with a blade than he was, Guy was able to defend himself more easily than expected, but not well enough to block every strike. Meanwhile, with Celestia, Luna, Twilight and the others, Rainbow Dash spoke up. "Why is he so bad with a sword? Moon is not much better but still....." At that, Luna spoke up. "I....I think this is his first time fighting. If anything, the fact that he has been managing to survive all those spells shows that he is, at the very least, physically and magically tough." Everyone looked at Luna before looking back at the battle, hoping that the one who introduced himself as "Knight Blazer" will be okay. Guy stumbled back from a particularly strong blow from Moon. When Nightmare Moon saw this, she grinned widely and started blasting him with a barrage of attacks, both from her blade and her magic. Guy was began to growl in irritation at his own inexperience at combat. He noticed, for a split second, how Moon was about to stab him with her blade. In pure reaction, he spun to his right, barely dodging the stab, but also backhanded her across the face. The hit surprising her and stunning her for a few seconds. Guy took his chance and started swinging his sword at her, while he also tried to throw a few punches and kicks at her. Some of his attacks manage to get through, but she let out a snarl and sent out a powerful pulse of magical power. The pulse hit Guy with so much force, he went flying and crashed through several trees and finally hit a large boulder hard enough to cause spider web cracks from where he impacted it. He then slid down to the ground, his energy sword dissipating as he began to slowly get up, panting and tired. His new body may be tough, but he was new to the whole combat experience so he did not have much stamina or endurance as he could have. He was finally reaching his limits. He looked at Moon and saw she was panting as much as he was. It confused him for a moment but got a hunch. "Heh, that the best you got? Probably can't hurt a gnat with whatever magic you have left." Guy said, taunting her. Nightmare Moon got a livid look on her face as she used her magic to grab him by the throat and swing his body around, smashing it through several more trees. She then magically threw him to the ground, face down in front of the hole in the wall that the others were watching through. Guy turned himself onto his back panting even harder from the assault he just went through. 'Damnit. Hope this plan I have works.' He thought to himself. -I hope this plan works too.- Said Lord Blazer, as he saw the plan Guy thought of. Guy then saw Moon fly over to him. She landed standing above him, her feet on either side of his chest and her blade aimed down at his helmeted head. "Any last words creature?" Nightmare Moon asked with a sneer. Guy grinned under his helmet and nodded. "Yeah. I do." With the last of his strength, he grabbed Moon by her ankles and held tightly to keep her in place. Nightmare Moon was surprised and tried to remove her legs from his grip. "Banisher." Guy intoned, the word seemed to echo in the air and resonate with an ominous tone. His chest plates then moved on their own. The black parts first opened up over his shoulders and then the red plates opened underneath his arms while still connected to his torso, revealing a silver orb in the center of his chest surrounded by red muscle-like flesh. This was one of Knight Blazer's final attacks. The Banisher. An organic particle accelerator gun under his chestplates. Nightmare Moon began to panic as the exposed orb started to quickly gather energy. She then thrust her sword down toward it, but before her blade to stab into it, a powerful beam of energy shot forth, encompassing the body of Nightmare Moon in light and power, her screams of pain, shock and fear barely heard over the roaring power of the attack. After a few seconds, the blast of power from the Banisher fades. All that is left of Nightmare Moon is a dark night-like mist. It swirled in the air before flowing back into Luna. Celestia, Twilight and the girls all panicked at that but were stunned at what happend next. Luna started to glow with a dark aura, but they got no feelings of malice from it. Luna then began to grow up and fill out. In just a few moments, she turned from a tall teenager to that of a grown woman, only a head shorter than her sister Celestia. Once it was over, Luna looked herself over in shock. "H-how?" Luna asked in confusion. "Balance I think." Guy's voice said, causing Luna and the others to look back at him. They all ran out through the hole to check up on him. Applejack helped him sit up. Guy nodded in thanks then looked at Luna. "I am of the personal opinion that all things in life has a balance. Light and Dark, Life and Death, Order and Chaos. Every sapient being has both good and bad in them. My guess? That Nightmare Moon was your inner darkness, your selfish desires that got out of control." He saw Luna had a thoughtful look on her face. "But how would that explain how she got separated from me?" Guy shook his head. "I don't know. We will have to talk about it later. For now, I would like to sleep. That last attack took a lot out of me." Guy's head slumped to the side as he fell asleep. His body started to glow brightly. Then in a flash his armored form was gone. In its place was what looked like a blue haired young man with a western type outfit and a long scarf. Fluttershy checked on him and looked at Celestia and the others. "He is just asleep. A very deep sleep right now." Celestia nodded and looked around. "We should all go. Let's take him with us and get him someplace comfortable to rest. We will talk to him and find our more about him when he wakes up." Luna looked like she wanted to wake him up right away, but nodded in agreement with Celestia. Luna looked at Guy's sleeping form, thinking about what he said. His opinion of 'everything having a balance'. Like Celestia said, they will find out more when he wakes up. Meanwhile Badlands Changeling hive The Changelings, shapeshifters that feed off of Love from other beings, primarily ponies as they looked more similar to them, panicked as they helped their badly injured queen, Chrysalis, escape. The reason they are running is because they were under attack and lost. Badly. Many of the common changelings had stayed behind to buy time for the ones carrying their queen to escape. They did not last long and were quickly slaughtered. They were scared for their queen. Most of the hive had managed to buy time for the ones who helped their queen escape. Now Chrysalis and the three Changelings carrying her were all that was left of the hive. Chrysalis looked back and took one last glance at her now former home, and saw the being who slaughtered her people, standing in the open main entryway of her hive and saw that it just stood there and stared at her. It was a strange bipedal being. Large, almost 8 feet tall. It wielded a massive broadsword on a long handle that was more like a pole, and it wore a blue armor that looked pristine and untouched, despite all the attacks her people did to it. But both the weapon and armor had an organic look to them, making it look even more terrifying. Chrysalis growled softly to herself as she shed a few tears of sadness and anger as the creature just stood there, not chasing after her. Her people, now gone. She looked at the ones who were left and had helped her escape. "We....We must go to the nearest pony town. We need to get a message to Celestia. This being is too powerful for just one race to beat." The three Changelings nodded and carried her off while they patched her up as best as they could. The Changelings no longer a major power. Now, they were just a small group of refugees as they left for the nearest town. Ponyville. > Chaper 4 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ponyville several hours after Nightmare Moon's defeat Guy groaned softly as he woke up as he rubbed his face and eyes to get rid of the remaining sleep dust. "Oh man. What a cool dream. I ended up in Equestria, turned into Knight Blazer and beat Nightmare Moon." He said with a sigh. "Ah I would have really had fun if it was real." He said to himself. He blinked and looked around in confusion as he saw he was NOT in his bedroom. The unfamiliar surroundings made him more awake than a cup of super strong coffee. "What the?" He said as he looked around. He saw that he was in a circular room, surrounded by shelves of books. He looked down and saw he was laying on a couch, but he was also wearing an outfit he did not remember ever wearing before in his life. "What?" He then remembered what happend to him before. "Holy crap! It wasn't a dream!" Guy whispered to himself. "You're awake!" He heard a feminine voice speak up. He looked to his right and saw a pink face with curly pink hair less then a foot away from his own face. "GAH!" Guy yelped out as he rolled over to his left and fell off the couch. He landed on the floor with a thump, face down. He laid there for a few seconds then said just one muffled word in a flat tone. "ow." The pink thing he saw a few seconds ago giggled and helped him up. Guy looked at the pink thing and saw it was a pink anthropomorphic pony. A female one at that if her chest and figure was anything to go by. But it was her face, hairstyle and voice that helped him recognize her. "P-Pinkie Pie?" Guy asked in wonder and confusion. The now identified Pinkie Pie blinked a few times in confusion herself then smiled widely. "Wow! You know my name? And I didn't even introduce myself! Cool! Are you psychic? What am I thinking right now? What is my favorite color? What is my favorite hobby? What-" Guy then interrupted her by putting one of his hands over her mouth. "Whoa. Slow down there Pinkie. Just let me get my bearings for a moment please. Also, no I am NOT a psychic. I WILL explain how I know your name." Pinkie just nodded energetically and Guy removed his hand, looking around the room. 'Looks like I'm in Twilight's home, the Golden Oaks Library. Wait....' Guy thought to himself and then his eyes widened as he made a realization. 'The dream last night. Only it WASN'T a dream! I really am in Equestria. And I actually turned into Knight Blazer. And I beat Nightmare Moon! What the hell is going on here?' Guy thought in confusion and a bit of fear. "Ah. Looks like Pinkie was right. You ARE awake." Guy looked to a nearby doorway and saw several other humanoid ponies. Guy blinked a few times when he saw them. He saw Luna, Celestia, Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy standing in the doorway to the kitchen if the stove in the room behind them was anything to go by. "Um, hi there? My name is Guy. Nice to meet you all. Mind telling me how I got here?" Luna walked up to Guy. "Of course, but first we....I would like to thank you in what my sister tells me is the proper way for saving me." Guy blinks in confusion but shrugged. "No problem. Just doing what was MMPH!" He said but was interrupted when Luna grabbed his shoulders, lifted him off the ground and gave him a searing, but simple kiss. At that moment, Guy's brain went blank in shock from the surprise kiss. Behind her, Celestia was giggling with a mischievous look on her face, Rainbow was laughing her butt off, Applejack just grinned,Rarity and Fluttershy blushed at the sight, Twilight stared with a gobsmacked look while Pinkie just smiled widely. A few seconds later, Luna broke the kiss and blushed prettily and bashfully. "I.....thank you for helping us defeat Nightmare Moon." Guy just stared in shock for a few seconds and shook his head to clear his mind. "Um, like I said, no problem. I was just doing what was right. Also, you did NOT have to kiss me. A hug would have been fine." Luna blinked a few times in confusion. "But Celestia told me that to best way to thank a knight that saved me was to give him a kiss." Guy looked at her then at Celestia. He saw the look on Celestia's face and made a realization. "I think your sister was just messing with you Luna." Luna blinked and turned to look at her sister. When she saw the look on Celestia's face, she blushed an intense red in embarrassment while giving Celestia a glare. Celestia just giggled and smile at Luna. "Come Luna. It was all in good fun. Besides, I never said it had to be on the lips." Celestia said. Luna just blushed even redder at what her sister said. Guy shook his head and looked at them all. "Look, I'm sure you have some questions. Let's get them out of the way, because I have a feeling I am going to need to get used to things here soon." As soon as he finished saying that, Twilight was suddenly in front of him with a borderline manic look on her face while she held a quill and parchment in her hands. Guy knew he was going to get a barrage of questions soon. 'Better nip THAT in the bud.' Guy thought to himself and let out a sigh. "Look, first we should all introduce ourselves. Also, keep in mind, I will answer JUST a few questions." Guy said as he pointed at Twilight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. "You will have to save the rest for another time. Okay?" Twilight looked a bit disappointed hearing that. Before she could speak up, Celestia walked up and put a hand on Twilight's shoulder, a warm smile on her face. "Of course. We have never seen a being such as you before, so it stands to reason that you would want some space to breath and get used to your new surroundings." Celestia said as Guy nodded to her in thanks. "Anyway, my name's Guy. Nice to meet you all." Guy said with a friendly grin. At least he hoped it was a friendly grin. Celestia smiled warmly and nodded to him. "I am Princess Celestia. You've met my sister, Princess Luna." Celestia said with a grin, causing both Luna and Guy to blush. Celestia giggled a bit. "This is my student, Twilight Sparkle." Celestia said, gesturing to Twilight. "Hello." Twilight said as Celestia proceeded to introduce the others, getting various greetings from them. Guy nodded and smiles at them, returning the greetings. He then sighed and sat down on the couch. "Okay then. Ask your questions. But like I said, just a few for now please." Rainbow Dash spoke up with the first question. "What was that armored form of yours? It was awesome!" Guy chuckled and grinned at her. "Thanks. That was not just an armor, but a full on transformation. At least as far as I know. In that form, I am called Knight Blazer. And like I said before, I inherited it. I guess." He said, the last few words confusing the others. "What do you mean 'you guess'?" Applejack asked. Guy looked at her and shrugged. "Before I got to this world, I didn't have that power. I come from a different world. I wore it to a convention as a costume originally, bought some items at said convention, then blacked out, woke up in this world in my Protoblazer form, then I blacked out again, woke up again with you girls on the ground and Nightmare Moon about to kill you and then, well, you saw the rest of the story. And now here we are." Guy said. The info about him being from another world had Twilight gain a giddy look on her face. Twilight then spoke up. "Oh my! Another world? How exciting! What can you tell me about it?" Guy chuckles and shakes his head. "Should have known you would go for that. Can't tell you much about my world. To me, it was just home. And I am not one for being able to describe things well. Besides, I didn't exactly go out much." Guy chuckles some more and looks down at himself. "Besides, I was not exactly 'Prince Charming' in looks back in my world. So my current looks, to me, are a major improvement." "Oh surely you couldn't have looked THAT bad." Rarity asked. Guy gave Rarity a flat look. "Rarity, back in my world, I was 29 years old, almost 300 pounds and that was NOT muscle, had a receding hairline and had so much hair growing on my body that my upper torso looked like I was pretty much GROWING a sweater. Combine that with my lack of self esteem, then compare that to what I look like now." Rarity blinked a few times and cringed at the image Guy had painted of himself. "Alright, I can see why you would say that your current looks are an improvement." She said, Guy nodding in thanks. He looks at the others and smiled at them. "Sorry about that. Anymore questions?" Pinkie then spoke up with a wide grin on her face. "You said my name earlier and I hadn't been introduced yet. How did you know that?" Guy chuckled and shrugged. "Well for one thing, in my world, you all are fictional characters." That got a collective look of confusion from them all. Guy then spoke up. "Well, according to the Multiverse Theory, anything that exists has to have either parallels, and anything that is fiction in one world HAS to be real in another reality. At least that is what I got from it when I read up on it once." Guy said. Most of the girls nodded in understanding. Rainbow had a somewhat confused look on her face so Guy spoke up. "Dash, look at it this way. Your favorite fictional character, whether they are a superhero or a plain adventurer, they may not exist in THIS reality, but they DO exist in another reality. There is just a..........wall, or a powerful dimensional barrier separating this reality from that one." Guy tried to best explain. Rainbow Dash nodded as she understood that at least. But she then blinked and stared at Guy. "Wait, if that is so, how are YOU here?" she asked, causing Guy to sigh and he looked at them all with a somewhat scared look. "Honestly, I don't know. Hell, as far as I know, by all rights I should be DEAD." Guy said as that caused everyone's eyes to widen at that. "Why do you say that?" Applejack asked. Guy looked around and saw a couple pieces of blank paper. He grabbed them and held them up, showing them to the girls. "Okay, here is an example. This paper represents MY original reality." He said as he shook the paper in his left hand. "And this one represents this reality. Your world." He shook the paper in his right. He saw that the girls were following, confused on why he is going through the explanation all over again. Guy then pressed the papers against each other. "Now, are they both a single piece of paper?" He asked them, confusing them more, until Twilight's eyes widened and she spoke up. "No. They are not, because there is still the 'space' between them!" Guy nods and puts the papers back where he put them. "And THAT 'space' is the barrier. Some more 'fantastical' theories is that the so called "dimensional barrier" is more of a void. In this one series, it was called "The Dimensional Void", and if a being of any reality was to go to this Void, their body would be badly effected by the "corrosive" power of the Void. And it can connect to ANY reality in existence." Guy said with a shrug. "So even if it was a wall, or a Void, either way, I should be dead." Guy looked at them all with as serious a look he can manage. "The fact that I'm alive is a sheer miracle as far as I'm concerned. Either that, or I had some help. How, I don't know. The fact is, it is impossible for me to go home at this point in time." Guy looked at Celestia and Luna. "How long was I under? Before I turned into Knight Blazer? Because I remember being first surrounded by frightened people, er ponies, then I was attacked by your Royal Knights, blanked out for a bit, but I VAGUELY remember seeing you two together. The next thing I know, I wake up seeing Nightmare Moon and...well.....here we are. And I KNOW that Luna, as Nightmare Moon was sealed into the moon for a thousand years. So again....how long was I under?" Guy asked them. Luna then spoke up while her right hand grabbed her left arm and rubbed it in nervousness. "You were.....sealed for 1500 years." She said. Guy had a pained look on his face when he heard that. "I........I need to sit down." He went back to the couch and sat down, his elbows on his knees and his head in his hands, his body language telling Celestia and Luna that he is very obviously upset. After a few minutes, Guy looked up at them all, some tears in his eyes and a sad look on his face. "1500 years. Than that means the likely-hood of my home being the same is most likely nonexistent." He said. Pinkie's hair went flat and her colors became muted as she got a bad feeling about what Guy was going to say next. "Whether the 'speed' of time is the same between the two worlds or not, it does not matter. My old home, my family, my friends, my pets......there is a very good chance that they are all gone. Dead. And here I am, alive and well." Guy gave out a morbid laugh as he leaned back on the couch. "It's pretty damn depressing to think about, but I guess.........what I'm really upset about is how I haven't been able to at least say goodbye to them." He said with a tone of voice that sounded like he could start sobbing. Luna and Fluttershy walked up and wrapped him in their arms and wings, both of them trying to give him some comfort. Guy just reacted, wrapping his arms around them. He lowered his head and started sobbing softly. Everything finally hitting him, especially the chances of him going home being nonexistent. After a few minutes, he manages to calm down. He notices what looked like a handkerchief being held out to him. He looked up and saw Rarity offering it to him. He smiled at her and gently took it. "Thank you Rarity." He said. Rarity just smiled at him. He used it to clean his face up as best as he could. He felt nervous about trying to give it back to her after making a mess on it, but Rarity saw and smiled at him. "It's okay. You can keep it darling. And, I think I speak for all of us when I saw, we may not know what you are feeling right now, but we can at least understand HOW you are feeling right now." Rarity said, and Twilight, Pinkie, Rainbow, Fluttershy and Applejack all nodded in agreement with Rarity. Guy smiled at them all. "Thank you. All of you." Guy chuckled a bit and shook his head a bit. "Sorry. Thinking of heavy things like that tends to really get to me. How about a change of subject? You all have anymore questions?" Guy asked them. Luna then spoke up as she asked him "I have a question. You said that you believed that 'everything has a balance' correct? What did you mean by that?" Guy chuckled and nodded at her. "I do believe in that. Like I said, Good and Evil, Light and Dark, Life and Death, Day and Night, Order and Chaos. Those are things that are examples of things that balance each other. Too much of one or the other can lead to bad effects. For example, too much daylight, leads to lack of water. Lack of water leads to lack of food. Lack of food leads to starvation, which combined with the lack of water leading to dehydration, would end up leading to a LOT of dead people, er ponies." He said as an example to them. Everyone here is an example of a balance. You are all nice people, er ponies, jeez I need to get used to the terminology here. Anyway, as nice as you all are, you all have a "negative" quality about you as well. Whether it is being selfish about something or other in one way or another. I think that Nightmare Moon was the manifestation of your more darker and selfish side Luna." He saw that Luna got upset at hearing that. "Before you get upset about it, I think the only reason it got that bad that you turned into Nightmare Moon is because you most likely didn't talk with Celestia about it correct?" Guy asked her. Luna nodded and Guy smiled at that. "Your time as Nightmare Moon is an example of how holding in your darker side is not healthy for you OR others around you. Believe me, I've made the same mistake myself a fair number of times. It just shows that you are not perfect, and that as long as you talk to others about it, then you would be able to control your darker impulses from being self destructive." Luna looked at Guy for a few seconds, thinking about what he said. She them smiled and hugged him again. "Thank you Guy." She said. Guy just smiled and returned the hug. "No problem Luna." Guy then looked at the others. "I can say that my second battle with Nightmare Moon would have been easier if I had a better weapon. Speaking of my second fight with Nightmare Moon...." Guy looked at Luna. "How the hell was she separated from you Luna?" he asked in confusion. Luna shrugged, just as baffled. "I was telling Celestia and the others how I felt like someone was..... I guess 'antagonizing' my darker side. Like quiet whispers in the back of my mind. She then spoke up saying how it was more like I was 'cursed' to turn into her." Luna said. Guy got a rather thoughtful, but worried look on his face. "That's......not a good thing. And I get the feeling that it is probably one of the biggest understatements so far." Guy said with a tone of voice to match the look on his face. It was at that moment, Spike the Baby Dragon, Twilight's little brother/Number One Assistant, came down carrying the Twin Fenrir in their holsters. "Hey Twilight, what are we going to do with these things?" Everyone looked at him and Guy saw the Twin Fenrir. His eyes widened at the sight of them. "Holy..........You kept my Twin Fenrir?" Guy stood up and walked over to Spike. Spike backed up and held the ARMs behind him. Guy stopped and held his hands up. "Whoa, easy there tough guy. I just wanted to look at my Twin Fenrir is all." Guy said. Spike looked at him suspiciously. He looked at Celestia and Twilight. Celestia just smiled warmly and nodded at him. Spike pulled the Twin Fenrir out from behind him and gave them to Guy. Guy grinned at Spike and nodded to him. "Thanks man." Spike smiled back at Guy as Guy took the ARMs. Guy was surprised at how.....'different' they felt. 'That's odd. They weigh the same and feel the same as when I bought them, but they feel...... different.....heavier almost despite still weighing the same. How? Guy thought to himself. The Twin Fenrir started to glow, surprising him and everyone around him. "What the?" Guy exclaimed in shock. He then heard a voice in his head that was not Lord Blazer. This new voice was mechanical, robotic. "Resonance recognized. Registering Guy Ryugen as sole owner slash user of ARMs Nanotechnology Colony. Currently set for default form classified as Twin Fenrir. Guy's eyes widened at that and yelled out. "WHAT!?" Guy's shout startled everyone around him. Soon the glow around the Twin Fenrir faded away and they laid in his hands, inert. But Guy knew what just happend. His ARM has essentially 'evolved' from a simple pair of guns and knew things were happening too quickly and too close together to be coincidence. He looks at the girls with a serious look on his face and told them what he just heard in his head. Twilight almost looked giddy, while everyone else looked confused. Rainbow then spoke up. "Okay, I get how it said that you are its only owner and user, but what's the big deal about it?" Guy sighed and went to sit back down on the couch. "The big deal is this Dash. First, answer me this. Do you guys have video games?" Guy asked Dash, and got a nod from her. Guy was somewhat relieved because it would make his explanation easier. "Remember when I said how I was at a convention dressed up as Knight Blazer? Knight Blazer is from this video game series called Wild ARMs, and these weapons are named Twin Fenrir, but they are a weapon called an ARM. The word ARM is actually an acronym, but the definitions of what the words that make up the acronym ARM is always different in each game, but they generally are simply a name for a WEAPON! Things that are designed to either maim or kill. POWERFUL and CRAZY dangerous weapons." Guy sat down on the couch again. "The fact it said that instead of being just plain twin guns and is more of a "Nanotechnology Colony" tells me that these might have more shapeshifting capabilities. That is what ARMs were in the fourth game. As far as I know, I might have the equivalent of an entire army's firepower in my hands here with these weapons." He said, that last statement caused everyone to widen their eyes in shock and stare rather fearfully at the seemingly harmless items in a new light. Guy looked at his Twin Fenrir as he finally realized why they seemed 'heavier'. They represented great danger, great potential for destruction. But he then remembered something. An old phrase from a popular comic book series. One that inspired the hero of said series. 'With great power, comes great responsibility.' Guy thought to himself. He stood up and looked at everyone around him with a serious look on his face. "I need to train. A lot. I want to use all my power, both of my ARM and my power as Knight Blazer to protect those that need it but I need serious training." Celestia and Luna smiled warmly at Guy for this resolution he reached. Everyone else smiled at him as well. Guy then looked at the holsters for the Twin Fenrir that Spike was still holding, then back at the Twin Fenrir. "Hey Spike, I think the holsters you have for these is going to be a bit redundant." Spike blinked a few times and tilted his head to the side. "Why do you say that?" Spike asked. Guy looked at the Twin Fenrir and focused on them. There is a small flash of light and they were gone. Guy nodded at that. "Thought so. Because of them being a 'colony' bonded to me, I can probably 'command' them on a certain level. As far as I know, they are probably in a subspace pocket only I can call them from. You can keep the holsters Spike. I get the feeling you can find a better use for them than I can right now." Spike looked at the holsters and shrugged. Guy chuckled a bit and rubbed the back of his neck. "Now I just need to figure out how to train in the use of my power." Before anyone else could speak up, a portal had appeared under him which caused him to fall into it with loud shout of "WHOA!". Before anyone could react to try and save him, the portal closed up and disappeared leaving everyone standing in stunned shock at what had happend. Little did they all know, that Guy was about to get the training he wished for, and much more. > Chapter 5 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cruger sighed as he took a break from the mass of paperwork in front of him. While he stood behind the creation of the new divisions, he had no idea that the paperwork would be this extensive. “I could use a break,” Cruger said to noone in particular. Suddenly, a portal opened up a few feet above his paperwork. Cruger looked up in confusion. His confusion grew when he heard what sounded like a guy screaming, and the screaming was getting louder. “What the?” A body fell through the portal, landing on all his paperwork which then scattered the papers into a big mess. Cruger’s eye started to twitch slightly. He noticed the person on his desk and saw it was a young boy, someone in his late teen years. “Oh god that hurt.” The young man groaned out. He rolled over and then fell onto the floor with a thud. All was silent for a few moments, but the newcomer said in a simple flat tone one word. “Ow.” Cruger sighed before looking at the ceiling, “Murphy, would you mind aiming away from my desk next time?” Without waiting for a response, Cruger got up and walked towards the newcomer. “You alright kid?” The newcomer groaned a bit and slowly stood up, dusting himself off. “Yeah. I’m good. Thanks.” The newcomer looked at Cruger and suddenly got wide eyed. “Holy shit! Commander Doggie Cruger? How the hell did I land at SPD?” Cruger chuckled, “You didn’t, at least not the one you’re thinking of.” Cruger then pressed a button on the wall, “Sorrow Song, could you report to my office please.” The newcomer shook his head and grinned. “Sorry man. Forgot to introduce myself. The name’s Guy. Nice to meet you.” Guy looked around and cringed. “Um, sorry about the mess. Want some help on cleaning it up?” Guy asked. “That’s what she’s for.” Cruger said as Sorrow Song entered the room, “Sorry Song, but a new Displaced popped in, mind organizing this while I show him the ropes?” “Very well sir.” Song replied, “Although I hope this isn’t you trying to get out of it.” “He popped out of nowhere, I don’t think he’s even got a token yet.” Cruger replied defensively. Guy chuckled and shrugged. “Don’t you mean ‘dropped in’?” He shook his head. “Anyway, what is this about Displaced and Token? Am I missing something? First, I woke up surrounded by  what was essentially Celestia and Luna’s soldiers, I fought them to defend myself, saw my reflection on one of their shields and saw I was NOT human but a Protoblazer, blanked out, woke up later to find myself buried under some stone blocks, broke them to climb out, saw Twilight Sparkle and her friends about to be killed by Nightmare Moon, defend them and help them ‘purge’ her for lack of a better word, get knocked out, wake up again this time as Knight Blazer, find Luna AND Nightmare Moon separated, fight the crazy one, beat her, BARELY, then later say I need training, the next thing I know, a portal opens up under me and I land here. Sorry if I seem a little short right now, but I could REALLY use a break and wish SOMEONE would tell me what the hell is going on here?” Guy ranted, his right eyebrow twitching rather violently as everything finally hit him in a delayed reaction. “Which is why the Multiverse in its wisdom has sent you to me.” Cruger said before opening a portal. “Mind if we continue this in a more comfortable setting?” Guy took a deep calming breath, exhaled, then nodded. “Yeah. That would be great. Thanks. Again, sorry for the mess.” Guy said and walked up to the portal. “So where are we going anyway?” “My apartment.” Cruger said before stepping through. Guy shook his head and walked through the portal as well. He looked around after he got through. “Nice place.” Guy walked over to one of the chairs. “Mind if I sit down?” “Go ahead.” Cruger said, taking a seat of his own. “So, ask your questions.” Guy nodded and sat down. “Okay then, first off. Earlier you said ‘Multiverse’ and judging by the anthro pony, I’m in your version of Equestria right now?” “Yep.” Cruger said, “We Displaced go to other Equestrias like normal people go to the grocery store.” Guy nods. “Okay, second and third questions. What the hell is a Displaced and how the hell DID we become Displaced? I AM assuming that when you say Displaced you are referring to you and me. Individuals who stand out in Equestria. At least more than the natives that ALREADY stand out.” “I guess you could say that,” Cruger replied, “Displaced are people that have been sent to an Equestria with the abilities of a fictional character, usually after going to a convention dressed as them and buying something from a shady merchant.” Guy blinked and stared for a few seconds. In a flash of light, his twin guns, the Twin Fenrir appeared in his hands. “Knew getting these and those Mediums were too good to be true. Seriously. They all looked like HIGH quality items that would have cost me 2 grand, but I ended up paying just 150 bucks.” Guy blinked a few more times and looked back at Cruger. “I get the feeling that I need to know as much as you know about this Merchant. What can you tell me?” “In all honesty, not much,” Cruger admitted, “although in my defense, no one does.” Guy sighed and dismissed his weapons. “The reason I asked is because I just had a thought. It might not hold water and it also might just be the optimist in me, but this theory is also…….kinda scary. I know it would have no basis, but I guess I would just be hopeful. I’m honestly hesitant on sharing this theory.” “I’m a fan of MatPat, theorize away,” Cruger replied. Guy chuckled and nodded. “Okay. Now, I’m guessing that not ALL of the Displaced out there are like you and me. Good guys basically. There HAS to be one or two at least that would be on par with Joker from Batman. I think that those ones might be the…...outliers so to speak.” Guy said, getting Cruger’s attention. “I think this Merchant MIGHT be doing something that is considered illegal by whatever standards his…...species for lack of a better term, has. Also, I think his species might be similar to the Q from Star Trek. Anyway, The Merchant might have seen something……..VERY bad and decided that doing this would be the lesser evil……...do you want to hear the rest of the theory Cruger?” “I think I might, but before you continue,” Cruger opened a portal and pulled out a wanted poster. “the first part of your theory is confirmed. This guy, Basco, likes to go around the Multiverse and kill other Displaced for fun. You see him, you call me, then run.” Guy takes the poster and nods. “I will. I get the feeling that I still need training to be able to fight alongside you against this guy.” Guy said as he narrowed his eyes at Basco’s image on the poster. He then shook his head. “Anyway, if Basco here is an example of the FEW Evil Displaced, then this might give my theory more credibility, it might not. I think this Merchant is making Displaced, hoping to make an ARMY of us. Possibly to DEFEND the Multiverse. Or whatever is threatening it anyway.” Guy said. He then looked Cruger straight in the eye. “Besides, what would YOU consider the lesser evil? Doing the same thing as the rest of your race and do nothing, letting the end of reality happen, or break the laws of your race and create a hopeful army of multiversal heroes to defend it?” Guy finished as he looked Cruger in the eye. Guy closed his eyes and sighed. “Sorry about that. My brain tends to go into a tangient like that sometimes.” He said as he rubbed his closed eyes. “Anyway, that is my theory. The Merchant might be a good guy, but willingly broke the law and got in trouble for the greater good.” Cruger rubbed his chin. “Definitely something to keep in mind.” Guy chuckled a bit morbidly. “Yeah. But like I said, this is just a theory. There is no HARD evidence to verify it. And I honestly hope that theory is true, because the only other one that comes to mind is that there is nothing wrong with the Multiverse at all and the Merchant just grabbed us from our homes and dumped us where we are just for shits and giggles. I get the feeling that even DISCORD wouldn’t do that. That latter theory is why I am hoping the first theory is the real one.” Guy rubbed his head. “God I need a drink. Preferably a Sprite. Never was a fan of alcohol.” “More of a Mountain Dew guy myself.” Cruger said as he pulled two green plastic bottles from a portal before tossing one to Guy, “Luckily I found the local versions of both.” Guy caught his and chuckled. “Thanks Cruger. Nice and cold too. Just how I like it.” Guy opened his up and was glad he didn’t get sprayed. He took a few gulps and sighed. “Anyway, like I said in my rant earlier, I said that I needed to train in the use of my power and the Twin Fenrir, the two guns earlier, then the portal opened up under me and dropped me here.” Guy then proceeded to go into detail about what has happened to him so far, including the conversation and revelation that he was sealed in the Twin Pony Sister’s old castle in the Everfree for 1500 years. “In all honesty, it’s not the weirdest story I’ve heard.” said Cruger. Guy chuckled and nodded. “I’m sure.” Guy said with a laugh and drank some more. “Anyway, know someplace I can go to train? It’s not like you have a way to download a bunch of martial arts into my brain and nervous system like they did in The Matrix.” “Well, a Displaced I know founded a school for Displaced, but if you just want a quick spar, I know just the place,” Cruger replied. Guy nodded. “I could go for a quick spar. See where I stand compared to others, and see if my battle against Nightmare Moon and my victory against her really WAS just dumb luck. Better to find out in a friendly and controlled setting than in the middle of a battlefield where I can easily get killed.” “Fair enough,” Cruger said before standing up and forming another portal, “the badlands await.” Guy finished his drink, placed the empty container on a table and walked through the portal in a determined stride. After he goes through, he starts to think. “I just need to figure out how to change into Knight Blazer.” Guy said to himself. “Alright then,” Cruger said as the entered the desert, “maybe you could start by shouting ‘Henshin!’, if it’s good enough for Kamen Riders it’s good enough for anyone else.” Guy chuckled and grinned. “I certainly like the sound of that. In the game, the hero had to shout “Access” in order to change.” He shrugged. “Henshin sounds better. Okay then. Here we go.” He took a few steps forward for some safety. He stopped, closed his eyes and took a deep breath. His eyes snapped open and he yelled out. “HENSHIN!” A burst of power caused a minor sandstorm to erupt around him similar to a cyclone. A glowing light seen inside the sand. After a few seconds the light faded and the sand fell, revealing his now transformed state, his scarf billowing slightly in the wind. Guy looked at his hands in awe. “Whoa. What a rush!” He said as he clenched his hands a couple times. “That was also easier than expected.” He turned to look at Cruger. “I almost expected to have to meditate and try to ‘sense’ the ‘Power’ within me.” “In my experience magic is 70% intent, 20% practice, and 10% showmanship,” Cruger replied, “Focusing your intent to transform through one of the most iconic transformation phrases ever took care of 80% of what you needed.” Guy chuckled and nodded. “Thanks. That’s good to know. Now to test this out.” In a flash of light, Twin Fenrir appeared in his hands. “Okay then. So far so good.” The next moment, two long ammo clips, each one almost 4 feet long, stick out of the guns and started glowing. Guy grinned. “Cool. Another lightsaber setup. Now I have two lightsaber sets. One from Twin Fenrir, and one I can make with my power as Knight Blazer similar to how Ryoko does it in Tenchi Muyo.” Guy looked back to Cruger. “Just out of curiosity, what do you think of my looks in this form? I’d like to get your opinion is all.” Guy asked in honest curiosity. “Pretty badass in all fairness,” Cruger replied, “especially the scarf, a good breeze and you’ll be able to skip the lesson on the dramatic entrance.” Guy chuckled and nodded in agreement as he turned to face Cruger fully and got into a combat stance. “Thanks. I’ll be honest, I used to be a 29 year old guy before I became a Displaced and got turned into a kid again. Sure I have to go through puberty again which will be a bitch to deal with since the ponies in my Equestria are anthro and have figures that could put supermodels to shame, but I can deal with it. It is great to be a kid again in a way. The reason I asked for your opinion was both honest curiosity and my inner kid slash fanboy kicking in. Anyway, shall we start our match? Cruger-Sensei?” Guy said in a semi joking tone. “No problem, although if you don’t mind I’d like to take the opportunity to test a new piece of equipment I’ve been working on,” Cruger replied as he took out his Morpher, “SPD Emergency! Machi-bugyō mode!” Cruger transformed into his standard form before shifting again into a form that resembled a samurai, a jutte at his hip beside his sword and the kanji for justice on his back. Guy blinked a few times. “Whoa. Talk about retro.” Guy grinned. “Saw an outfit like that worn by the lead character of one of my games. Let me guess, old Edo period police commissioner?” “Pretty much,” Cruger said as he held his Jingasa with his right hand and drew his jutte with his left, “was in the mood to have a samurai based mode for sword fighting, and this was more appropriate.” Guy chuckled and nodded. He stood there for a few seconds, the wind blowing gently. With a shout he charged at Cruger, firing a few bullets at him as he got close. He saw how Cruger managed to block each bullet. Guy then swung his right Twin Fenrir to hit Cruger with the Blade Extension. Cruger caught the Blade Extension in the hook of his jutte and twisted, sending it flying out of Guy’s grip, “Lesson 1, hold your weapons firmly, or you won’t be holding them for long.” Guy grinned. “No need.” In a flash of light, the weapon reappeared in his hand surprising Cruger for a moment, allowing Guy to shoot Cruger point blank in the gut a few times. Guy then leaped up and slammed both feet into the same place he shot Cruger, pushing Cruger back and sending himself flipping back a few feet as well. “These are not ordinary guns. They LOOK like guns, but they are actually nanotech colonies that are bonded to me. So I can pretty much summon them at will.” Guy looked down at his weapons, frowning under his helmet. “Although now that I think about it, that seems like a big cheat.” “If you think that’s a cheat,” Cruger said as he let go of his Jingasa and drew his sword, “perhaps you’d like to see my signature techniques in this form.” Guy looked up at Cruger and blinked a few times. “Huh?” That moment of confusion gave Cruger the opening to strike with his sword, slicing through Guy’s blades and part of his armor, leaving a cut so smooth it showed his reflection. “My primary offensive technique, the Hougetsu Jigen-Tou. My sword enters and exits this plane of reality over 1000 times per second, causing whatever it’s currently intersecting with to be pushed out of it’s way when it returns, cutting through practically anything like a 10,000 degree ripsaw through ice.” Guy shakes his head after the explanation and charges at Cruger again, the Blades of his Twin Fenrir extending again to their full length to try and strike back. He then swung his left Twin Fenrir at Cruger when he got close. Cruger hooked it with his jutte, however unlike last time he didn’t twist, instead it wouldn’t budge. “The Tsukamu Muei-Tou, your sword is now locked in space-time, making it a literal immovable object. Thanks for telling me about it being made of nanobots, it might not have worked if I only pinned one piece of it.” Guy chuckled and nodded. “No problem. And your techniques ease my conscience when I do this.” Guy released his Twin Fenrir from both his hands and slapped both hands on both sides Cruger’s head over his ears. However, they just passed through him, causing him to merely clap his hands. “Did I forget to mention that the Hougetsu Jigen-Tou can also be used defensively?” Cruger said before driving the butt of his jutte into Guy’s stomach. Guy stumbled back a few feet, a hand on his stomach as his Twin Fenrir disappeared in a flash. “Heh, not bad. Thanks. It really eases my conscience about how my Twin Fenrir could be a bit cheat. It just felt like that because it made your first lesson seem pretty pointless.” Guy said as he got into a combat stance. “Besides, I get the feeling that I need every advantage I can get in the future so I probably need to drop this ‘fair play’ mentality.” Guy said. He then suddenly stumbled in place when he heard Lord Blazer speak up in his head. -No shit stupid!- Lord blazer yelled, causing Guy to grab his head after stumbling and groaning. “Oh god. I forgot about you.” Guy said, confusing Cruger. Guy looked back at Cruger and laughed a bit nervously. “Looks like our match is over earlier than expected. I forgot to mention a few things.” “Wouldn’t be the first guy I met with a crazy backstory,” said Cruger. Guy just sat down and crossed his legs. “Well, in the original game Knight Blazer is from, the hero is essentially a……’Prison Break Attempt’ by a powerful fallen god known as Lord Blazer. The Blaze Of Disaster. Lord Blazer was originally sealed beyond the Event Horizon, however the hell THAT works, and over time, Lord Blazer was breaking free of the Event Horizon. The hero gained the power of Knight Blazer in the process, but Lord Blazer eventually broke free and was, I assumed, killed by the hero with the spiritual backing of all life on the planet.” Guy sighed and looked at Cruger. “Only instead of him being silent to try and break free this time, I hear Lord Blazer in my head. I think I might be Lord Blazer’s Prison this time. In other words, I have myself in a Naruto Uzumaki kind of situation. I think.” Guy said. Cruger sighed, “One of these days I am going to have to track down a Kamen Rider Wizard Displaced and sweet talk an Engage Ring out of them. I don’t suppose there's a way for us to have a chat with him, is there?” Guy just shrugged. “Fuck if I know. Maybe meditation or something? Besides, Lord Blazer is NOT created by magic and my ‘Despair’. He is NOT a part of me. So I seriously doubt that an Engage Ring is going to work on me. Also, I’m into women. Not guys.” Guy said in a joking tone at the end, managed to get a chuckle out of Cruger. Guy then sighed again and stood up. “Maybe we can get some help from a powerful mage or tech head at SPD. That should make it easier and less awkward. What do you think?” “Technically I am a powerful mage, although there currently isn’t anything we’ve got in R&D that could help with this,” said Cruger, “although if you want to launch a chicken several miles and have it perfectly cooked when it lands, that we can do. Right now our best chance is to find a Professer Xavier Displaced or something.” Guy stared at Cruger for a few seconds. “What was that about a chicken again? That sounds like something out of Tom and Jerry or Looney Tunes.” Guy shook his head. “Nevermind. Probably something like Pinkie Pie. Better for your sanity if you don’t question it. Anyway, yeah, finding a Professor X Displaced is probably our best chance. For now, I am probably on my own through meditation or something.” “Yeah, anyway one last lesson before we send you home,” said Cruger, “Tokens 101.” Guy nodded. “Sure thing. What do I do?” Guy asked, wondering how to make a Token. “Step 1, pick an item that represents you,” said Cruger. Guy nodded. He thought for a bit and managed to come up with something. “Okay then, how do I create said item? I’ve got an idea, but I don’t know how…to…….Let me guess. Magic?” Cruger just shrugged, “I dunno.” Guy sighed, closed his eyes and held out his right hand. An emblem the size of his palm faded in, looking like a side silhouette of a roaring wolf with what looked like a collar or halo around its head. Cruger looked it over, “Looks good. Step 2, infuse it with some of your power while speaking a phrase that represents you. This will automatically play whenever it first gets picked up, so make it a good one.” Guy nods and thought for a bit. He spoke up as he focused a bit of power into his new Token. “My name is Guy Ryugen, inheritor of the title and power of Knight Blazer. If you need help to fight an enemy of justice, peace, freedom or the very right to exist, call upon me and I will help bring damnation to their existence. If you want to just talk, call me anyway.” “A little corny, but then again they all are,” Cruger chuckled as he opened a small portal, “last step, throw it in here and it will automatically propagate throughout the multiverse.” Guy chuckled and nodded. He tossed in his Token and the portal snapped shut. “There. That should help. Again, sorry about the paperwork. Here’s hoping that I don’t hit the floor face first when I get back huh?” Guy said with a laugh. Guy then stood up, changing back into his human form and patting whatever sand was still on him off. “What’s your Token Cruger?” Cruger demorphed and reached into his pocket, pulling out a silver badge which he tossed to Guy, “Careful with that thing, it’s got a bit of a security system on it.” Guy catches it and blinked a few times. “This? What’s it going to do? Taser me or something? Still is a pretty good one. This is the SPD logo isn’t it?” Guy asked as he put it in his coat pocket. “Also, think I can learn how to do that pocket dimension magic of yours? It would certainly come in handy if I end up getting more Tokens in the future.” “Pocket dimensions are rather advanced, my recommendation would be to find a nice shelf,” said Cruger, “also if the wrong person tries to summon me it’ll explode.” Guy blinked a few more times. “Ouch. I think I am better off not knowing how powerful of a blast. Anyway, thanks Cruger. A couple things before I go. I forgot to mention this about my Twin Fenrir. With it being a nanotech colony, it can shapeshift. I potentially have the equivalent of either an entire army’s firepower, or 3-4 SPD’s in my hands when I use them. Hopefully we can remain in contact so we can bounce a few ideas back and forth. Also….” Guy held out a hand with a grin. “It’s pretty cool to meet a childhood hero. Sort of.” Guy said with a laugh. “You get used to it,” said Cruger as he shook it. “Anyway, ready to head home?” Guy chuckled a bit. “It’s not home. Not yet. But I think I can get used to it. Also, those parts you cut off of Twin Fenrir earlier, no need to worry about them. They are already back with the rest in the colony. Maybe next time I’m here, we can have your R&D study them a bit.” Guy sighed and grinned once more. “I’m ready to go Cruger.” “Then our contract is complete,” Cruger said as a portal opened behind Guy, “by the way, when you summon a Displaced they have a time limit before they automatically return, but you can use that to zero the timer early.” Guy nodded. “Sounds like a dimensional equivalent to an organic beings immune system. Anyway, later Cruger. And good luck with that Ultimate Evil known as Paperwork.” Guy waved goodbye as he walked into the portal, which snapped shut behind him. “Shows what you know,” Cruger chuckled as he opened a portal for himself, “its true name is Bureaucracy.” > I'm sorry. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm sorry everyone. After several years, and no return from my muse, I'm afraid that this story will have to be cancelled. Chances are I MIGHT do a remake but have it NOT be a Displaced story. I also need to plan out how the story will go, but considering I have several mental disorders (One of them being ADD) and trying to deal with life as well, I won't hold my breath. Again everyone who read this so far and liked it, I'm very sorry.
