A story before Equestria was even created by the Two Sisters. Where you get to see the parents of Princess Celestia and Luna. Also, get to face the harsh reality of what truly happened to their parents during the War.

A story about the history of the Two Sisters who currently rule Equestria. I wanted to create this story to show the hardship the I think Princess Celestia and Luna have been through. You'll get to meet the Two Sisters parents who used to rule the land before them. I just wanted to write a story basically about the past before Equestria was even created.

This story is base from my ideas and aren’t really inspired by anyone else. I hope you enjoy!

The Alicorn King who rules the day and night sky. With a coat as dark as the midnight sky and his mane being violet like the galaxy. He lived in the Palace that was on the floating island known as Unicorn Topia. Mostly, Alicorns and some noble ponies would live on this floating island. The King had absolutely everything he has ever wanted, except for one thing; a mare of his own. That was, until one night where we met his soulmate...

“Ahem?” a servant uttered, trying to get his attention.

“King Chronos… It’s time to look for your Mare.” a fellow servant of the palace said, while still bowing at him.

“OF COURSE, WE ARE REA-” he said in his royal voice. “MH-hm… I mean... I am ready.”

A loyal servant carefully used his magic to place a crown on the King as he walked out of the bedroom, steadily heading down to the ballroom. He was walking down one flight of stairs as he seen out of the corner of his eyes a mare that was so lovely that he couldn’t take his eyes off her.

“Ahem… your highness…?” A loyal servant quietly questioned the King trying to get him to acknowledge the crowd in front of him.

“Oh…” he thought. “WE ARE KING CHRONOS OF UNICORN TOPIA!” he basically shouted in the royal voice once again. “MARES AND COLTS, WELCOME TO OUR PARTY.” he said a little quieter.

As he finished talking, everypony bowed down as the King started walking again, down the second flight of stairs. He stood up tall and waited for everypony to stop bowing for him to walk forward. As everypony got back up, King Chronos saw the mare who caught his eye once again. “She’s absolutely lovely” he thought to himself. “I must find out who she is.” Before he even got one step closer to her, she started to walk away. “Oh no, I must stop her”

“Ahem, your highness…” a dark coated mare stepped up to him, making him stop in his tracks. “I am Princess Lil-Lillian-” she stopped as she noticed a really strong glare from somepony behind her. “Umm… nevermind, your highness.” she quickly said, giving a bow and then running away from the King.

“Huh?” he thought to himself as he watch the mare dash on by and before he even realized it another mare stepped up in front of him.

“Good evening, King Chronos.” she said giving a slight nod for acknowledgement to him. “I am Galaxia. Daughter of Artic Sun and Acapella.” she nobly announce.

“Finally!” He gave her a grin. “It’s nice to meet you Galaxia. You are absolutely beautiful.” “Oh wait… did I say that last part out loud?” he questioned himself.

She tilted her head away for a moment, lightly giggling to herself.

Galaxia was just an impressive looking kind of Alicorn and she wasn’t even royal. Her coat was crystal clear white with rose gold socks that goes up to her knees and her hooves had a lovely shade of violet. Even her mane was gleaming with her gold locks and violet ends. Honestly, King Chronos was shocked to find out that this mare wasn’t a Princess of some kind.

The orchestra started playing a slow song. As King Chronos noticed this, he thought to himself, “This is the mare that I wish to give her my heart.” He shook his head letting his thoughts disperse. “Miss Galaxia,...” he started out saying, “WOULD THOU LIKE TO DANCE WITH US?”

Galaxia was taken a little bit by surprise. She giggled to herself, “I would love to!” she cheerfully said.

She reached out to take his hoof and they practically danced the night away. King Chronos wouldn’t even dare look at another mare, because he knew right there that she was the only mare for him.

During this night, he confessed to her and asked for her hoof in marriage. She practically cried right there as he confessed. Galaxia was thinking that Chronos was the only colt that she could ever love also. Of course, she said yes to the King of Unicorn Topia. But she didn’t said yes, because he was a King. Galaxia said yes to him because she fell in love with him as he was walking into the ballroom, it was love at first sight.

After a few years of marriage, they found out that Queen Galaxia was pregnant with a little filly. For about eleven months, while passing time for the young filly, the King and Queen of Unicorn Topia thought of many names and also wasted no time to design the filly room for her. The King Chronos and Queen Galaxia tried to remain calm in the public eye, but in the palace they showed their excitement as much as possible with small celebrations here and there for the new filly.

As soon as it was time for the young filly to come out, they wasted no time to get a doctor in to the palace to deliver her. The little filly had a pearl white coat and her mane was blush pink. You could obviously tell that she took her looks from her mother, a look from an angel.

King Chronos smiled, “She looks so similar to you, my dear Galaxy. She’s definitely the light in our hearts.”

Queen Galaxia giggled, “Well, of course she it! She is my daughter. I expect nothing less from our sweet little angel.”

The King and Queen could tell that this little filly would be a bright young mare who when she’ll grow up would help so many ponies.

“Angel?” King Chronos thought to himself. “So, how about a name that means ‘Heavenly.’ Like, Celestia?”

“Celestia…” she uttered. “That’s a lovely name. Celestia it is then.” she smiled.

“I can see her now, being as strong as her own parents.”

The Queen just smiled at they new little filly. Queen Galaxia could definitely tell that their little one will face some hardships that may never appear in any other pony. But this is the difficulty for a Princess.

Five years have passed since Celestia was born, and the Queen became pregnant yet again. The King was even more excited this time around. He hope to get a colt or filly that look similar to him, but then again if the little one looked more like his mare he would still be happy. Again, they thought of so many names for their new little one. The only problem with this one was that they couldn’t tell what gender it was going to be before it was born. So, the King and Queen had a little hard time designing the room. An eleven months passed, it was a filly! She was the complete opposite from Celestia. Her coat was almost midnight blue with her mane being a lighter shade of blue.

“My dear little filly, my little moon.” King Chronos said.

“Moon?” Queen Galaxia questioned… “Then, how about Luna?”

“LUNA!” Celestia yelled out filled with excitement that she got a little sister.

The little filly almost bursted in tears. “Shhh… It’s ok, Luna.” King Chronos quietly said to her. “Celestia, we need to learn how to use our inside voice. Ok?”

“Ooohhh… Oopsie! Sorry, Daddy.” she said, pouting.

Little did either one known, that this was just the beginning for Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.

Chapter 1: The Beginning of the War

Far, far before Equestria was united by the two sisters who brought harmony throughout the land. Before even the Great War of Pony World arose, there was a small peaceful universe ruled by winged unicorns (also, sometimes called Pegasus Unicorns) or, nowadays, what we call them as Alicorns. They were considered “Gods” in the pony world. Most of the winged unicorns lived on a floating island which was called Unicorn Topia. Right under Unicorn Topia, there was the Maneland where three differents types of ponies lived on. Maneland was home to everypony who were known as the Earth ponies, the Pegasi, and the Unicorns.

They lived peacefully with very few problems, but that was before a long and dark terror came creeping out from the Badlands. Apparently, a crack from the Badlands had open a portal from another dimension. Other creatures, came crawling out from there home and spread like wildfire in Maneland. The monsters was excited to find new land since there home was being overcrowded and they decided to rule the land of Maneland. Of course, what they wanted was not going to happen if that meant destroying Maneland.

As soon the winged unicorns realized what was happening to Maneland, they decide to defend their homeland. Even if that meant causing a war to happen. King Cosmos gathered his best guards throughout the palace and even went down to Maneland to gather more ponies to help defend their home. While King Chronos was creating a defense plan, Queen Galaxia was creating a secure place for her little ones, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.

“My dear Galaxy, you’ll take care of them won’t you?” King Chronos question his wife, before leaving to prepare for battle.

“Of course, my Knight in Shining Armor…” Queen Galaxia uttered. “I will not let them harm even a hair.”

King Chronos nodded his head in response. “Little ones, listen to your mother!” he practically commanded them as he stared down to them.

“Of course, daddy!” They both responded giving a quick salute to their father.

“Be careful…” Queen Galaxia said. She give her husband a quick nuzzled before he responded.

“You too, my dear Galaxy.” He walked out the palace not even turning his head to look back, because he knew that this would probably be his last moment with his family. For he knew absolutely nothing about these creatures he was going to fight. The only thing he did know was to hope and pray to return to his lovely family.

He flew out of the Palace with haste heading to the barracks. While doing so, another pony was rushing to catch up with him.

“Your Highness,” a fellow Alicorn announced, bowing his head as he flew next to the King, “The troops are at their posts.”

“General Diamond Ace, do we have any clue what we are facing?” The King asked.

“I’m afraid not yet. These strange creatures are just a mystery to us. They are something that we have never seen before…” General Diamond Ace disclosed. “But I swear, we will not let them destroy our home even if that means that we’ll have to risk our lives.”

“WE SHOU GET RID OF THEM AS WE SEE FIT!” King Chronos declared.

Meanwhile...

“Come on, Celestia and Luna!” Queen Galaxia commanded.

“Yes, mother!” Celestia proudfully said without knowing what was going on.

Luna walked very slowly behind her mother and looked worried while doing so… Like she had a feeling something bad was going to happy to her father.

Queen Galaxia took them to a tall tower within the Palace. The tower was meant to be a guest room for a fellow royal member or at least for someone memorable. But Queen Galaxia did not care... she knew that it was the only place in the Palace where she could ask Celestia to put a protection spell around, temporarily keeping her fillies safe and sound.

“Girls, under the bed now…!” she yet again commanded them.

This time Celestia got suspicious “Mother, wha-...”

“Shush.” Queen Galaxia cut her off. “I know that you may not know exactly what’s going on right now,…” She took a deep breath trying to calm her voice, “... but please believe me that this is for your own safety, my fillies.” she finally said, forcing herself to smile in front of the girls to reassured them.

They both nodded in response to their mother.

“Celestia, do you remember that protection barrier spell that I taught you a little while ago?” Queen Galaxia asked.

“Umm… yes, Mother.” Celestia answered back.

“Good, do you think that you can do it? Create a barrier around this room.” she said.

Celestia hesitated, “A-around this entire room?”

“Yes, my dear filly. Just a temporary barrier, ok? Until you see a purple aura outside of that window… then you can let it go. Do you understand, Celestia?” her mother asked.

“Mh-hm.” Celestia responded.

Queen Galaxia took another deep breath, “Good… and Luna, try to keep your sister motivated. Remember, just make her keep the barrier up until you see the purple aura in the background, ok?” She looked at Luna in wait for her responds.

All Luna could do was just nod her little head. She obviously knew that something terrifying was coming. For being a little filly, Luna was legitimately smart. She could just feel it in the atmosphere that an evil force was on their way.

“Ok… I’ll be back.” Queen Galaxia quietly said to her daughters.

She flew out of the room and took off into the sky, flying directly above the Palace. Her horn radiant with a bright purple light coming out of it surrounding the Palace with it. She cast a strong magical protection barrier that only an Alicorn could break.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Sister!” Luna outcried.

“Yes, Luna? What is the matter?” Celestia turned her head towards Luna while still trying to concentrate with her own barrier magic.

“You can stop with the magic spell…” Luna said who was still covered up with her filly blanket.

Celestia let the spell down and looked outside. A purple bubble was surrounding the entire palace. “Wow…”

“It’s so big!” Luna exclaimed.

“Yes, it truly is.” Celestia responded, giggling at her little sister who was so easily amused.

“Where do you think mommy and daddy are at?”

Celestia paused. “I honestly have no clue, Luna.” She took a deep breathe in. “I’m sure they are alright though.”

Luna stared at her older sister, kind of looking uncertain. “Mh-hmm,” she said while nodding her little head.

They both crawled out from under the bed and stared out in the sky hoping that their parents would return to them as soon as possible.

“You know what,...” Celestia started, “... let’s play a little game to past time, ok?” She opened the closet door that had some board games on the top shelf. She used her magic to lift all of the games down and set them on a table near by. They both agrued on which one to play until they finally decided on a game and were distracted with.
