> Containment breach - the other perspective > by Cookiedash > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Waking up > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Miu awoke in a dimly lit room, a faint red light flashed outside the door and a loud but distant alarm was going off. She stood up and looked around only to realize that she was alone. flapping her wings she lifted herself off the ground and to her surprise, found that she felt like she weighed nothing at all, she could not feel the weight of her body trying to hold her down like normal. Quietly she flew out of the door and looked around for any means of escape, she wanted to find her friends desperately and ask if they were alright and if they knew what was going on. She didn't remember much of what happened, but she did remember that an inter dimensional creature had caused great havoc in equestria. As she looked around she found a small metal sheet drilled into a wall. It had a picture on the right and some information on the left. SCP-9087, Class-Euclid. To be kept in chamber at all times, unless said so by 4 class 3 or higher personnel. No personnel are allowed to touch SCP-9087 at anytime. Contact with SCP-9087 will lead to severe burns and rashes that will spread until the victim is lead to madness from pain. Personnel that have come into contact with SCP-9087 are classed as SCP-9087-D and are to be locked up in their own separate chamber until they commit suicide. When SCP-9087 is being moved no less than 3 class 2 or higher personnel must accompany it and must wear toxic waste suits as to not come into contact with SCP-9087. During a containment breach, Personnel are requ.. She couldn't make out the rest, as it was smudged in a thick, sticky substance. She looked at the picture and saw that it showed her, every detail was the same which confirmed that it was her. The picture had faded as if it had been there for a very long time, but she could still clearly see her oddly coloured eyes, one bright orange, the other dark brown and she could just make out her wavy blue hair. Hearing a sudden crash she turned around and scanned the area, she could see nothing but she could hear soft -un-pony like- hoof steps running along the corridors then a loud scream and finally the hoof steps stopped. Miu was terrified, she had no-idea what was inside the facility with her and she did not want to find out, however a small part in her brain told her that what she was dealing with would not harm her or some other few and that it was in a similar position to her. She waited a few moments before returning to her search for an escape route, still keeping an eye for any signs of danger. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Koko wandered through the corridors. He had already woken up and was intrigued by his surroundings. He knew that he was in danger but he also knew that if he didn't find his friends, he would never escape. He wasn't a unicorn like Aura was nor was he a Pegasus like Miu and Dust, he was just a regular earth pony. So all he had to defend himself, if anything came along, were his 4 hooves, his eyes and ears. He knew what had happened to make them switch dimensions. A large creature, around the size of Princess Celestia, had started to destroy equestria. He and his friends had tried to defend themselves as it came towards them. Unfortunately, the creature was a lot stronger than them and used its magic to teleport them away. He wanted to get out of the place, he could hear alarms going off and sometimes screaming. He could barley see as there were no lights, save for a dim red one every so often. Waking up in a large room, he had noticed that it was made completely of glass and had a wooden door. No-pony was about so he had walked about searching for anything useful. He had seen a sign with a dull picture of him on it. He read the information on the left of the sign. SCP-0034, Class-thaumiel. SCP-0034 is to be kept in a lightly guarded room. At least 2 personnel must be with it at all times though none must enter the room. SCP-0034 is to be moved out of the site only when personnel have come into contact with SCP-7789 and then must have at least 4 class-D or higher personnel with it at all times. SCP-0034 seems to have a mind of its own and likes to wander about. If SCP-0034 is missing then a lock-down of the area must be put into place until SCP-0034 is found as it is the only known object that can stop SCP-7789. In the event of a containment breach SCP-0034 is to be left alone until all other SCP's have been contained. If SCP-7789 escapes then SCP-0034 is to be used to contain SCP-7789. After reading the sign he had found a way out. Now walking through the corridors he came across a room. It had no doors or windows, only an opening to let him in. When he went in he was aware of something watching him. Spinning round he saw nothing. He continued to walk through the room and came across a gas mask. He picked it up and saw that underneath it as a letter. Reading the letter he noticed it was about SCP-173. He had no idea what SCP meant but he carried on reading it non the less. It talked about how SCP-173 was an animate sculptor that was only animate when not in a direct line of sight. It moved at a speed of several feet in the blink of an eye and it killed its victims by snapping the neck at the base of the skull. Koko was slightly scared now, if he saw it, he would be unable to blink for if he did he would be killed instantly. A loud bang made him jump. He turned around but again saw nothing. Looking around to make sure no-pony was there, he put on the gas mask. It made his vision dark and he could see less than before so he took it off, in doing so he had to close his eyes. Unfortunately, when he opened them SCP-173 was standing directly in front of him. He screamed, and then, backing away as fast as he could, whilst staring directly at the sculptor, got to the door, opened it, went through, closed it and then still backing away, went through another long corridor before turning and galloping away. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Dust was slammed against a wall, jolting her awake. She had no clue where she was, nor what was going on. Getting up as quickly as possible as to defend herself she saw 6 weird creatures that stood on two legs and had guns in their front legs that were being held in front of their body. They looked very weird but she thought she had heard of them before. Then it came back to her. Aura had been reading a boring book about weird historical creatures that once roamed equestria. She wasn't very interested in history but she had listened to Aura because history was his talent. Dust remembered that Aura had talked about these creatures and he had called them 'humans'. They were an inferior race according to the book and they thought that they were the supreme species. Of course, Dust knew that was not possible, for if they were they would not have gone extinct, at least in equestria anyway. Two of the humans fired bullets at her. She felt them hit her and go through her soft skin but she could not feel any pain, when she looked down she noticed that she was bleeding very little. This surprised her as she was sure that the bullets had harmed her quite badly. A table smashed into her side whilst she was distracted and she felt the weight of the humans jump on top of it. She heard one of them shout something about getting SCP-0034 but she didn't know what or who SCP-0034 was. Trying to stand up, she found that she could easily lift up the table and humans piled on top of her. Spreading her wings out for balance, she flung the table off of her back towards the right. The table was heavy and made of metal, when Dust threw it off her back it landed on the humans, who she assumed were being guards. Some of the guards groaned as the heavy metal table landed on them, but the others didnt make a sound. She looked over at the table and saw a deep scarlet runny substance flow out from under it, she cringed and decided that she needed to move on. She picked up a key card from one of the guards, a gas mask from another and then quickly searched around for a medical kit. Unable to find one, she flew out a door, she wanted to find a medical kit to sort out her wounds, though she didn't know that she did not need one. She didn't see anything that indicated where she was or why the guards had attacked her. She was in an office of some kind with the letters S.C.P painted in large black letters. Underneath the letters were the words Secure Contain Protect. She had gone out the same door as the guard going to find SCP-0034. She hated the guards for trying to kill her, and the crimson substance, that she knew was blood, had made her want to harm the other guards. The feeling of harming something made her feel comfortable, but she knew it was wrong. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Aura was alone, though he was not scared. He knew exactly what had happened and where he was...mostly. Loud alarms were blaring and red lights were flashing all around him. He tried to use his magic but nothing happened, he tried to use it again, but still his magic would not work. His magic no longer seemed to be in his horn anymore, and he realized that he could not feel any magic flowing through him. Looking around he saw that he was in a small contained cell with a special access door, the door was closed and he didn't have a pass. He could hear voices outside the door but he couldn't hear what they were saying. Upon analyzing the access panel he saw that he could hack it. Forgetting that he was unable to use his magic he tried to take of the front panel. When that didn't work, he slapped his face with his hoof. The voices outside the door were getting slightly louder and he could just make out what they were saying. 'We need to re-stabilize it, otherwise it could shut down the backup generator allowing SCP-079 to have complete control over the facility." Aura was confused, he didn't understand what they meant by 'SCP-079' nor what the meant about re-stabilizing something. He new what it meant, of course, but he didn't know what the 'it' was. The door to his cell opened and three guards came in, he recognized them as humans straight away. They came up to him and attached some sort of devise to his horn. He felt a magical surge flow through his body and then some strong electrical shocks. One of the guards held him down as he tried to escape the pain and he found he was more-or-less able to use his magic and he did so by using a teleportation spell. It only got him to outside the door though and the devise was still strapped to his horn. He struggled to get it off with the electric and magic still surging through his body, but he eventually managed to get it off just as a guard jumped on top of him. The guard put a hand over his horn to prevent him from using his magic and brought him to the ground. Whilst on the floor, Aura could see a sign on the wall. It had a picture of him on it with a bit of information next to it. SCP-0989, class-Euclid. SCP-0989 is to be contained in a small 3 by 3 meter room, with the walls ceiling and floor made of steel. SCP-0989 seems to be a mythical unicorn that is able to perform certain spells. SCP-0989 cannot perform magic if it is kept in a room made of steel, however, if a door or window is open then SCP-0989 can use its magic. After a few days the steel will drain SCP-0989's magic and SCP-0989 will have to be re-stabilized otherwise the lack of magic or electricity flowing through SCP-0989's body will cause any generators to shut down thus allowing SCP-079 to take control of the facility. When re-stabilizing SCP-0989, no less than 2 Class 1 or higher personnel are allowed to enter. SCP-0989 is not allowed to be moved anywhere at anytime under any circumstances. Aura looked at the picture and saw it was him, just as another guard jerked his head down and reattached the machine. Aura decided to let them do it as he knew that it would allow him to use his magic again. So, as soon as the guard took off the machine, Aura teleported himself away from the containment cell and found himself in a corridor. > Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Miu had finally managed to find an escape route, it was a small gap in the wall that she had squeezed through, getting a few scratches and grazes in the process. On the other side, she had finally managed to notice the door that was placed right next to the small gap she had gone through. "Damn" She kicked herself mentally when she realized she could have just opened the door and gone through it. Looking around her, she saw she was in a long dark hallway. Carefully and quietly, she walked to the other end and opened the door, on the other side she found herself on a metal platform that hung above a small office room. The office room looked as though there had been a fight. An upturned table was on one side of the room, underneath were some weird creatures. They appeared to be dead. Miu had no clue what sort of creatures they were, but from what she could see, they had five long-ish grabbers at the end of their fore-hooves, and they wore a armored grey suit with a black helmet. She assumed they were guards, though she also thought that they may be builders of some kind. Blood poured out from under the table and had settled into a puddle. The stench was strong and it made her want to hurl. She dreaded to think what could have done this, and remembered the soft un-pony like hoof steps and the scream. She also remembered the loud crash, though she could not think what it could have been. It had come before the screams so it couldn't have been the table crashing on top of the guards. Carefully, she flew down and examined the guards, there were 5. One suddenly moved, it was alive. Miu jumped back in fright. The guard suddenly spoke and pointed weakly to the door. "SCP-7789" The guard muttered "SCP-0034", the guards eyes, she assumed it was a male creature, were glazed and seemed to be staring into space, as if it were dreaming. This was repeated over and over, sometimes with a small cry for help and other times with long pauses. Miu, did not want to find out what had done this, though she guessed it was SCP-7789 and SCP-0034, whatever that meant. She remembered that the sign she had seen had referred to her as SCP-9087, but she had no clue what SCP meant. Deciding not to find out what the creature was, she flew back up to the metal bridge and carried on trying to find her friends. Dust was running through the corridors, trying to find the other guard. It was her enemy and she knew that it would harm her if she did not kill it. But the thought of the bullet wounds in her chest made her desperate, she wanted to find a medical kit, and fast. She didn't want to bleed to death and she wanted to get the bullets out as soon as possible. The wounds, however, had already begun to scab and heal, they hadn't done much damage to her at all, not as much as they should have done, but of course, Dust didn't know this. She came across a large room with a generator inside. It was whirring quietly and it seemed to be powering the entire place. There were a few wires that were sparking very slightly. Dust thought she had seen those sparks before, in equestria somewhere but she couldn't remember. She didn't actually remember much at all about equestria, it was as if those memories had been erased from her mind. All her memories of her family and where she had lived and grown up were more or less gone, her memories of her friends were still faintly in her mind though and she knew that they were in the facility somewhere with her even if not physically. When she eventually came across a medical kit, she quickly opened it and searched for the tweezers, finding them, she took them, but when she looked down at her chest to pull out the bullets, she found that the bullet holes were not holes anymore, they were just scabs or scars. Dust was surprised at this, more so than she had been at finding how little she was bleeding, but she had put that down to the bullets in her chest blocking the blood. She put the tweezers back, and everything else that had dropped out in her search for the tweezers, closed the lid and picked up the medical kit, thinking it may be useful later. Aura looked around the corridor. It had three exits. He had no clue where to go and he could just hear the guards running around somewhere deep in the facility. He hadn't teleported far. Listening closely he assumed that the guards were coming from his left, so he turned and went right. Aura kept running, he knew what would happen if the guards caught up with him, not only would he be shot by their guns, but they would contain him in that containment cell again. After a few minutes of running through the maze of corridors, Aura came across a large iron door. There was little light, so he lit his horn and went to the key pad but he needed a high class key card to open the door. He tried to use his magic but it didn't work. On the wall next to him there was a sign. It was the same sign as he had seen referring to him except for that it was referring to some-pony else. Walking up to the sign he saw that it had a picture of Dust. On the left, there was a bit of information. SCP-7789, Class-Keter. SCP-7789 appears to be a small Pegasus. SCP-7789 can withstand extreme pressure, damage and lack of oxygen. The only known object that can stop SCP-7789 is SCP-0034. SCP-7789 is to be contained in a 5 by 5 meter room. The walls, flooring and ceiling need to be 5 meters thick and made of iron. In the event of a containment breach SCP-7789 is to be found as quickly as possible, SCP-0034 is also to be found quickly to contain SCP-7789. SCP-7789 is not to be moved anywhere at anytime. When testing, no less than 4 class D personnel plus SCP-0034 must enter as SCP-7789 is extremely violent and will attack and kill anyone except SCP-0034. If SCP-0034 touches SCP-7789, then SCP-7789 will go into a dormant state for a period of time, normally between 2 hours and 5 days. Aura found what he was reading difficult to believe. He did not want to believe that his closest friend would kill, or even attack, any-pony. He tried again to open the door but again, he failed, so he left to find a key card, wanting to find his friend and hoping, yet not hoping that Dust was in the cell. Koko kept running. He did not want SCP-173 to catch him, and he did not want to die. After a few minutes, he grew tired, he slowed to a halt and looked behind him, SCP-173 was nowhere in sight. "phew" he thought to himself. He looked around and saw that he was in a small entrance hallway that lead into a dark room. Above him, there was a screen that showed what was inside the room. A lanky figure sat towards one side of the room, it held its face in its hands. He studied the figure a bit, it didn't move, or show any signs of moving. Koko could see that there was a type of gas in the room, he put on his gas mask and fumbled around until he found his way to the door into the room. He opened it and went through. It was dark but he could just about see the exit. He ran across ignoring the humanoid creature. As he got to the other door he heard loud beeping noises and as soon as he passed through the door, it shut behind him. He took the gas mask off, careful to peel it away from his face before removing it so he could keep his eyes open. Glad to find that nothing was there once he had taken his gas mask off, he continued through the other door. On the other side, he found several small white crystals growing from the low ceiling. He reached up and tried to touch one, but they were too far away. He was about to on when he noticed something about the crystals, they were spreading all over the ceiling. Some were growing downwards towards the floor. He watched for a while and then again tried to touch one, but he stopped when he heard a shout. Twisting his head round to see who had shouted he saw a tall weird creature, it was about the same height as SCP-173, it stood on two legs, with the other two holding a gun in front of its body. "HEY!!! DON'T TOUCH THAT!!" it cried. Koko immediately flinched away from the crystals. The creature called to him and told him to come over and that everything would be okay. For some reason, Koko found himself trusting this creature and started to walk towards it. He stopped though, about halfway towards the creature. He looked at the floor a few feet ahead of him. It was corroding. A black, burnt arm reached up from the floor and tried to pull itself up. Koko looked up and saw the other creature looking at the thing in the floor with horror. He had frozen with fear. Koko looked back at the thing and saw that now a head had pulled through, it wasn't looking at him, "Thank Celestia" he thought. As the thing pulled itself out of the floor, Koko realized that it looked a lot like the other creature, they looked almost alike, apart from the thing looked half burnt and destroyed. The thing Walked towards the other creature and grasped it before killing it and leaving it on the floor. Koko was horrified as he watched the thing attack and kill the helpless creature who was too scared to do anything. The thing then turned around and looked at Koko, it walked up to him, he wanted to run but for some reason he couldn't move his legs. The thing came up to Koko, reached out one of it's graspers, touched Koko on the head and then carried on walking. Koko had no clue what had just happened. After the thing had gone, he found he could move again. Reaching up to his head he felt nothing besides his mane, which was perfectly fine. He walked on wondering what in Equestria had happened. > Chapter 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dust held the medical kit in her mouth and flew out the way she had come. It was dark and she was struggling to see. She tried to listen for movement, indicating which way the guard had gone, but all she could hear was the whirring of the generator. Looking round, she came to the conclusion that she must have come from the left, as she had turned right whilst going into the room. She turned right and quickly headed down the corridor, hoping to catch up with the guard. Eventually, she came to a three way corridor. Loud hoof-steps could be heard from her right. They were unlike most hoof-steps though, it was as if they had a soft padding underneath them. Then she heard the clunk of a real hoof against metal, she focused on the sound, it was getting quieter but it was definitely hooves against metal. The hoof-steps became too quiet to hear and the softer hoof-steps grew louder. She realized that the softer hoof-steps sounded almost the same as to the guard that had run away trying to find SCP-0034. She stood her ground, she didn't want to, but a part of her told her that if she didn't eliminate the guards then she would not be able to find her friends. Four guards rushed in, they stopped when they saw Dust. She was much smaller than them, about the size of a mid-sized dog compared to them, but she still frightened them. Dust knew that if she was to have a chance of finding her friends, then she'd have to kill everything and anything that tried to stop her. -Again, I'll say, she didn't want to, but needs and musts are more important than wants and likes.- Dust didn't know how she'd go about killing them, she couldn't think straight for a start, and second, there was no table. Three of the guards aimed their guns at Dust, the fourth ran, presumably to find SCP-0034. Dust charged at the three guards, bowling them over and headed straight towards the fourth, she tilted her head back and, when she got close enough, she smashed the guard over its head with the medical kit. She hit it with such a tremendous force that it was knocked out cold and blood started to escape from a newly formed wound. The other guards had gotten back up now and were firing bullets at Dust. Dropping the medical kit, she picked up the unconscious guard. It was difficult for her since the guard was much bigger than her, so she flew into the air. She used the guard as a human shield, The other guards quickly realized what she was doing and stopped firing, but it was too late, a soft groan was heard and then silence, Dust could no longer feel the heart beat of the guard she held, she couldn't hear any breathing either, it was dead. The other guards stared in horror at their friend who they had killed. Whilst the guards were distracted, Dust had dropped the body, picked up the medical kit and flown over to the guards. She smashed the medical kit onto their heads. One was knocked out cold instantly, the other two, noticing their friend was knocked out, just had time to defend themselves. One of them grabbed her front left hoof and tried to drag her to the ground, failing, he called for the other guard to do the same. Dust flew upwards, it was easy enough, soon, both guards were hanging onto her hooves dangling above a drop at least 15 foot deep plus the extra 3 feet they were above the ground. She shook them off and let them drop the 18 feet, loud thuds could be heard as they hit the floor. Then she went back, picked up the unconscious guard and dropped him down the side as well, she listened for the thud, it was softer but that was probably because it landed on the other two bodies. She did not hear nor see the guards coming in, all she could hear was the blood pumping in her ears so loudly, she thought they would explode. Quickly, she opened a door, flew through it and closed it behind her. Koko was still wondering what had happened when he came across a large containment cell. It was similar to his own but instead of being made of glass, it was made of steel. He looked around. A few things, looking exactly as the trustworthy one he had seen earlier, were running around, shouting to each other about SCP-0989, gathering bits and pieces and then rushing out of a door on the other side. He hid in the shadows and kept quiet. 'Good, no-pony had seen him' he thought to himself. He waited until all of the creatures had vanished. He then came out of the shadows and looked around. On the wall, there was another plaque, this time with information on SCP-0989. He read the information: SCP-0989, class-Euclid. Koko then looked at the picture, it was Aura. Koko was very hopeful when he saw this, hoping to find his friend, he looked around but noticed that the cell was empty. He sighed, Aura must have teleported away. He went out the door that all the other guards had gone through. He listened for them and heard their soft hoof-steps, he carried on forward. Then at one point he thought he heard something, like something hitting the ground from a long fall. He ran towards the noise, he found the creatures staring at the floor, a pool of blood, stained the floor, lying in this puddle was the beaten corpse of a creature, it had several bullet holes in it's chest and a large dent was found on it's head. A door opened and Koko's head shot up, just in time to see something quickly fly through it and close the door behind it. He couldn't tell what it was, but he felt sure that he knew it. Forgetting that the other creatures were there, he ran forward to try and get to the door. One of the creatures saw him and grabbed him. He was about the size of a small horse compared to the creature, and he could easily get away from it. However, the other guards had crowded round and were backing him into a corner. Koko reared and bucked trying to scare them away but not trying to hurt them. One of the creatures pushed the others back with both it's grabbers, then reached one out towards Koko. It was holding an apple. The creature didn't know if Koko could understand it, but it introduced itself anyway. "Hello, SCP-0034, I am Edward. I am a guard of this place" Koko listened to Edward as he explained what was happening. "We need you to help us catch SCP-7789" Koko did not know who SCP-7789 was, but he knew he trusted Edward and that if the creatures needed help catching it, then it has to be a danger. Edward introduced the other creatures, 'Charles, he was always grumpy, Alex(ander), he was a clutz, Henry, nothing much to be said about him and Lucas, he spoke several languages.' Koko found himself trusting these guards as much as he trusted the first one who got killed. He decided that if there was a threat that could kill them then it was best to get rid of it, and then maybe, the guards would get him back home to Equestria with his friends and family. Aura was getting a bit distressed now, he had been walking for a few hours since he had left the door where Dust was supposed to be to find a key card. He had heard a bit of screaming and shouting, and a lot of loud bangs that frightened him. He knew what the dangers were, sort of. The screaming had set his mind whirring, trying to come to conclusions about what they came from. However, the only conclusions he came to, involved either Dust attacking some-pony or killing some-pony. He shuddered each time a thought like that came to him. From he first moment he had laid eyes upon Dust, he had held a crush for her. He always felt happy when he saw her smile even in the darkest of times. She had always been the one pony who could make him smile. Now was probably the only time in his life when he couldn't have needed her comfort more. --2 years ago-- Aura was standing in a field that was surrounded by a race track. Miu and Koko were having a friendly competition. Who was the fastest and strongest. They had asked Aura to be the judge and he of course had said yes. Koko and Miu were his best friends, so why wouldn't he have wanted to spend time with them. The two had agreed to run 15 laps of the race track, it was a fairly large race track, but they wanted to see how far they could push themselves. They were on their 14 lap, and neck and neck, when a shout was heard from above. It was the shout of some-pony telling them to move out of the way, and fast. Aura only had time to look up at who was shouting before a small, baby blue pegasus, came crashing into him. "ow...", the baby blue pegasus was the first to respond. Painfully, she got off of Aura and held out a hoof to try and help him up. "sorry, I didn't mean to crash into you, by the way, my name's Dust. What's yours?" She seemed pretty happy even if she was hurt. "Uhh..., It's okay. My name is Aura." His head was still spinning as he took Dust's hoof and got up. As he looked up at her he saw that she was so, very, cute. He looked at her, staring into her gorgeous deep blue irises... 'NO' he scolded himself. 'I should not be thinking like that! I've only just met her!!' He shook his head quickly as he tried to clear his mind and smiled at her. "YES! I WON!!!" came a shout from his right. "NUH UH! I WON!" came another shout. "Aura, you saw who won right?" came the first voice again. "Tell Koko who really won that race!" "uhh, sorry Miu, I didn't really see, sorry." Aura answered "WHAT!!" Both the other ponies shouted in unison before collapsing. "Sorry Miu, sorry Koko!" Aura called to them. He turned to Dust and asked, "Are you okay?" "yeh, I'm fine, are those your friends?" She inquired nodding towards the two exhausted ponies. "Yeh, the pegasus is Miu and Koko is the earth pony. Do you want to meet them?" "Sure!" Dust responded and started to walk towards them. "HI! I'm Dust, I see you were having a race. Aura tells me that you two are his friends, Koko and Miu." Both the collapsed ponies sat up and looked at Dust. "umm, yeh, I'm Miu, I am the best pony around!" Miu boasted. "No you're not, I am" Koko retorted. "No, I am!" Miu and Koko started into an argument about who was the best. "ehem" Dust coughed trying to get their attention, "I think you'll find that I'm the best around." Dust smirked cheekily at the reactions she got. "What! No way! I'll challenge you to that!" Miu Shouted, "I'm THE best and the ONLY best!" "No, I'M the best!" Koko shouted in Miu's face. The two stared challengingly at each other. "There simply is no competition as to whom the best is but, if you two so really badly want my crown I will gladly challenge you for it." Dust calmly, yet cheekily said. So in about 3 minutes the three ponies had agreed on how they should go about this competition. The one rule was, no wings allowed. First, it was who could jump the furthest, then it was who could run the fastest and finally, who could throw a rock the furthest. 5 minutes later everything had been set up, Aura was the judge. The three competing ponies lined up, ready to jump. They all had to jump at the same time. "3... 2... 1... JUMP!" Aura shouted and let out a small bang with his magic. At the signal, the three ponies jumped. Miu and Koko came neck and neck, with Aura not sure who had gotten the furthest between the two, but Dust had jumped almost twice as far. She looked back at the other two ponies and smirked. The next part was the running race. Dust, Miu and Koko lined up and waited for the bang, it came and the three shot off like rockets. All three of them were quite fast but Dust was just a bit faster, (by a bit, I mean about a whole pony length) and she won no problem. But when it came to the rock throwing contest Koko was by far the best. Being an earth pony, his races specialty was being at one with the earth, just as a pegasus was one with the sky or a unicorn being one with the forces of magic. When Koko threw the rock it went at least 3 meters further than Dust's and 5 meters further than Miu's. "Hehe, looks like I won, I'll take that crown now" He said, smirking at Dust. "Not so fast, If I recall, I won two of those events, and two is a bigger than one so I win" Dust smiled. Koko's smirk was wiped from his face, then it returned and he looked at Miu. "I beat you, so that means I'm better than you! HA! At least I win something!" "You certainly won't win any modesty competitions, nor will you beat your ego" Miu grumbled. Aura laughed at her remark, then looked over at Dust, her sparkling eyes filled with glee and joy at having won the competition. She looked at him, so happy and joyful. Her smile just made Aura smile back, she was like an angel and, even though he had not been feeling sad or depressed at all, seemed to wipe all sadness away. When she smiled, it sent a spark through his body, one that made him feel like he was floating through the sky. --back to the current time-- Aura's eyes glossed up as small tears came from his face. He missed his friends, he had only been away from them for what he assumed was a few mere hours but with waking up in a strange place, alone, no comfort or guidance and possibly some large threats, was making Aura feel as if he'd never see his friends again, never see Dust's beaming face, never to tell her how he felt. Aura was looking down, not really paying attention to where he was going, he was lost in his thoughts when a loud bang was heard, and then a few other loud noises. 'THUD' then 'THUD' again, the sounds were loud and Aura thought that he had heard a splintering sound come with the first one. 'THUD, clump' The third thump was softer but accompanied by what sounded like something falling or bouncing off of something else. Miu had been walking for some time now, and her hooves started to ache. She flapped her wings and flew gently along the forever lasting corridors. Each corridor looked the same, maybe one or two with a door leading to a small room or cupboard, but otherwise exactly the same. She was thinking about this for a long time, only when her head bumped into something hard did she snap back to reality. She looked up to see what she had bumped into, it was a large door. She opened it and went through, closing the door behind her, she heard a loud bang. Nothing was there, but she could still here the loud banging as if some-pony were bucking the wall. She observed her surroundings, she was in a room, with a machine inside. The machine had two doors at either side and two switches in the middle. She went over to the left door and opened it, inside was a tiny room, about the size of a small closet. Inside the other door was the same. When she observed the switches, one of them had settings, Rough, course 1:1, fine and very fine. Seeing nothing else of importance in the room she left, on the wall another sign was hung, this didn't have any information other than the machine inside the room was 'SCP-914 and that it was classed as safe'. Miu trotted past the sign on the wall and looked around the corridor. She saw the door she had originally come from down the corridor and then she saw another door. One she hadn't seen before. She glided to the door and opened it. On the other side there was yet another corridor, but this one was a bridge of sorts, with a staircase going down into a storage area. She was about to go down the staircase when she blinked, this normally wouldn't have been a problem, but this time, when she opened her eyes she felt like something was out of place, like something or some-pony had moved. After staring for a few seconds, she shrugged the feeling off and descended down the stairs. Half way down the stairs she blinked again, only this time, she paid no heed to the movement among the boxes. After 5 minutes of searching and finding nothing, she decided to go back up the stairs and started to head towards them. 'bang!' Miu jumped and swiveled her head round towards the sound. 'Bang' It was louder this time, and closer. 'Bang!' louder still, Miu kept her eyes and ears open but she was frozen to the spot. 'BANG!' It was directly above her now. She looked up and blinked at what she saw only for it to have disappeared from its place on top of the container and be standing right in front of her. She just stared at it in horror, not blinking, not moving. She was frightened. The thing just stood there, seemingly to look just above her. It was a head taller than her and it stood on only two legs. But it didn't move, Miu couldn't see any signs of breathing either. It was like a sculpture. Only when Miu's eyes started to water did she blink a few times, when she could see properly gain, the sculpture had gone. > Chapter 4 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- As Aura ventured forth, he had noticed the corridors, that had previously looked the same, were beginning to look taller and wider. Now, the ceiling, was much higher than previously and the walls had gotten so far apart, that he could no longer see them, or maybe it was just the dark. Eventually, Aura saw a gap in the ceiling. A dim light shone through it. It was a few hundred hooves away from him an when he looked beneath the light, he could see something. He wasn't sure what it was and he ran over to it. When he got closer, he saw that the something was made up of three human corpses. He examined the bodies. Two of them didn't seem to have much damage to them, the main thing being that their necks were broken. Presumably, they had fallen down the gap in the ceiling. The third body was in a much worse shape. Bullet wounds covered the chest and blood oozed out of them. A huge gash adorned the head and the neck had been snapped backwards, it was bent in a position that no neck, no matter what the creature is, should be bent. Aura checked the pockets of the humans, one of them had a low level security pass and a picture of himself with two other humans, a female around his age(presumably his wife) and a young female(presumably his daughter), holding onto his neck. The human with the twisted neck held a key in his pocket, Aura wasn't sure what the key was for, but he held onto it. Then, he turned around and ran back the way he came. The journey felt longer this time, as if the corridors were growing. He lit his horn to see better in the darkness, but the light did nothing to illuminate his way. Aura had never been very good at running, and he was already starting to feel tired. After what felt like hours of running, his legs finally gave way, and he collapsed onto the floor, too tired to continue. --- Miu trotted past the sign on the wall and looked around. She saw the door that she had originally come from down the corridor, as she looked to the right, she saw another door that she didn't see before. Miu walked over to the door and opened it. On the other side, there was yet another corridor, but this one was on a bridge and had a staircase that went down into a small storage area. She was about to go down the stairs when she blinked. When she opened her eyes, she thought something was out of place, like something had moved. After staring for a few seconds, she shrugged it off and descended the stairs. Half way down, she blinked again, this time though, she did not pay any heed to the movement among the boxes. She searched through the boxes for several minutes, but found nothing of any use to her. So she decided to go back and started to head towards the stairs, when 'Bang!' Miu jumped and swiveled her ears in the direction of the noise. 'Bang!' The noise was louder this time 'Bang!' Louder 'Bang!' Louder still, Miu kept her ears and eyes open, looking for danger, but she was frozen to the spot. Her eyes started to water and she blinked 'BANG!' Whatever was making the noise was directly above her now. She looked up at the creature, it was weird, it was white and looked a bit like it should have been a statue. She blinked, the creature was now standing directly in front of her. She yelped and stared at it in horror. She didn't blink, or move. Seconds past, though they might as well have been years. Only when her eyes started to water and start to sting did she blink. She blinked several times and when she had recovered, the creature was gone. --- Koko was following Edward and his friends through the corridors. They had been sneaking around for a while, avoiding certain areas and always on the look out. Eventually, they came to a room. It was the same room he had gone to earlier, with the humanoid creature still with it's head in it's hands. They stood in the small hallway outside the room, looking up at a screen. The screen showed the red room with the humanoid creature sitting inside of it. Lucas explained that the screen thingy was a Security system, as it allowed them to constantly keep an eye on the creature. Before they went in, Edward instructed Koko to NEVER, under any circumstances, look at SCP-096's face. "Why?" Koko asked, it was the first time he'd spoken to his companions and they were slightly shocked. "....uhhh..." Edward said "Because it will kill you." Henry said in a deadpan tone. He showed no emotion so no-one could tell if he was shocked or not. "Oh. And, yes I can talk. Wow, I'm starting to sound like Aura." "Uhh..hu" was all Edward said. "Right, time to go in." Lucas instructed and he opened the door. They put their gas masks on and then, carefully, but quickly, all walked past the creature from behind, and out of the door on the other side. They came to the corridor with the crystals. They had completely covered the room now and were spreading outwards even further. "Great, now we have to go through..that, zone." Lucas said, a hint of fear in his voice "What's 'that zone'?" Koko asked "It's the part of this facility where SCP 7789, SCP-173 and SCP-106 like to hang about. It's the most dangerous part of the facility." Edward explained "I thought we were looking for SCP-7789?" "Yes, but it's much easier to go this way, it avoids that section and goes to SCP-7789's cell. We can lure her there and trap her instantly, before she does any more damage. Now we have to risk going though that zone and bumping into any of them. Plus any other SCP's that are there." "Why do you need me?" "Because you are the only one known to be able to stop SCP-7789." "What does it look like?" "She, she's a she. She gets angry when you call her an 'it'." 'Sounds like somepony I know' Koko thought. "So, what does 'she' look like then?" "A tiny pegasus. A bit smaller than you. But has incredible strength and can survive almost anything." 'A tiny pegasus, doesn't like being called an it....' "W-what colour?" Koko asked hesitantly "Uhmm, SCP-7789 is yellow" "No you idiot, SCp-7789 is blue! SCP-9087 is yellow!" "NUH-UH! SCP-7789 is yellow! SCP-9087 is blue!" "No, SCP-7789 is blue, remember, blue, b, for bad. As in, one of the most dangerous." "...Oh yeh." 'Blue, a pegasus, tiny, 'she' not 'it'...Dust.' Koko thought. The colour drained from his face, his friend was one of the most dangerous things here, and from what he'd already seen, that probably meant she was worse. but, on the bright side, if he found her, then, he's found her, right? She'd still be the same Dust he knew, just a lot stronger, and maybe insane. But she'd still be his friend. He didn't want to lose her. He'd had a tiny crush on her since he met her. He also knew that Aura had a crush on her. And the two were constantly arguing over who was better for her. "Why do you ask?" "I-I just want to make sure I get the right po-uhh, SCP." He replied, quickly. "Good, well, lets get going. We have to move quickly if we want to catch her." --- Dust flew along a corridor. She was bored. No more guards had turned up and she was missing the excitement of battle. 'No' She told herself, 'Don't think like that. You're not supposed to enjoy killing' 'But the guards are so infuriating! And they're the ones who attacked me!' She argued against herself 'You could just fly away' 'Chicken out? No way! If they want a fight, I'll give them a fight' 'But you shouldn't want to hurt them.' 'I know, but it's...fun.' 'It shouldn't be!' 'But it is!' 'Stop thinking about it being fun and just flee next time. I don't care if you enjoy it, nor do I care about your pride. You shouldn't enjoy it!' 'Hey, it's you too! Your part of me, so you must enjoy it too!' 'No. I don't. I'm the part of you that doesn't enjoy it. I'm also your logical side. And, as the logical side, I say that you flee next time.' 'But if I flee, then I wont be ale to continue looking for my friends' 'You can't do that if you fight every single human you see.' 'I'm getting rid of them so that they can't get in my way!' 'Fly OVER them! We have wings! Use them!' 'I do!' 'To fight' 'If I flew over them, then they'd just shoot me' 'You do realize that a bullet is not going to stop you.' 'Why not?' 'See, there you go, you don't listen to me. It won't stop you because you have super powers. Super strength, super healing. You can survive a lot more than you could. You don't need to fight, just fly away. If you had listened to me in the first place, you may have found your friends by now and you would be just as hurt as you are now. Ergo, not at all.' '...I still like fighting' 'UGHH!'
