> Our Little Party > by Furryart > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Our Little Party > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hi there Gummy!" said a pink pony who was walking into her room. She had a pink, fluffy mane and her cutie mark was made of three balloons. Her pet, Gummy just blinked. Pinkie Pie gave him a big smile. "Oh Gummy," Pinkie Pie said, "your birthday party is today!" Then, Pinkie remembered all her friends were too busy to attend. "Well," Pinkie Pie sighed, "that's fine." As she baked Gummy's birthday cake, Pinkie Pie's smile never faded. Guest or no guest, Pinkie wanted Gummy to have a fantastic birthday. "We can have our own little party Gummy," Pinkie said cheerfully as she bounced up the stairs. Pinkie Pie pulled a small table out and two chairs. She placed the little cake in the middle. Pinkie put cups, silverware, plates, and napkins on two sides of the table. After setting the table, Pinkie Pie realized that she forgot candles. "Be right back Gummy," Pinkie squeaked, "I got to get candles from the store!" Pinkie made her way to the store and bought one little candle. "Just one?" the store clerk asked. "Yep!" Pinkie piped. After buying the candle, Pinkie remembered that she forgot to get a present for Gummy. She bounced with a grin to the toy store. She saw a little bouncy ball that was pink and had orange stripes draped around it. "No," Pinkie said shaking her head, "he already has a bouncy ball." She recalled that he had a purple bouncy ball with stars. So, she just bounced to the other section. Pinkie saw a little stuffed kitten, sitting all alone on the shelf. She decided to buy it because she knew Gummy would love it. Plus, she hated seeing it sit there all alone like that. It was a cute, pink stuffed kitten. It had blue eyes and the whiskers almost looked real. As Pinkie pet the cat, she noticed that the fur was softer than a pillow. Pinkie ran back to Sugar Cube Corner in a flash. Gummy's birthday party was about to begin. She came flying up the stairs and ran to the little table. The little table was placed in the middle of Pinkie Pie's room. It was just a one part cake, the flavor was vanilla. The frosting was strawberry flavored. The sprinkles were rainbow designed. "Okie dokie," Pinkie said cheerfully, "let's get this party started!" Pinkie Pie placed the candle in the middle of the small cake. Then she put Gummy's present next to her chair. Presents would be later on. Right now, it was time for cake. As Pinkie looked outside the window, she saw rainclouds. She also noticed that it was almost night. Suddenly, lighting shot out of a raincloud and made the power go out. Pinkie Pie quickly grabbed a lighter and lit the candle on the cake. The light made it seem like they were camping in the woods at night. Pinkie sat right in front of Gummy and sang "Happy Birthday" to him with a wide smile. Then, Pinkie blew out the candle and cut the cake. She put one piece on Gummy's plate then on her's. After they ate cake, it was time to open presents. "Sorry that there is only one present," Pinkie said. She handed Gummy her present and started to open it. "Isn't it a cute kitten?" Pinkie asked. Gummy blinked. Pinkie Pie squealed in delight. Pinkie Pie bounced over to the closet and got candles. She started to light the candles as she placed each one somewhere. It looked like a meditating room because of the number of candles Pinkie had brought out. After lighting candles, they played party games. They played pin the tail on the pony, catch, and hide and seek. It was a blast for them both, even though Pinkie was the only one expressing happiness. Gummy could only blink and walk around. Pinkie Pie was probably the only one who could read Gummy's mind. Soon, the party was over and they had to put everything away. Silence was only thing there was after the birthday party. The rain outside was the only noise to be heard. Pinkie Pie sat in the middle of the room, looking outside the big window. She felt like she could fall asleep to the beat of the soft raindrops. Gummy crawled over to Pinkie with the pink kitten in his mouth. Pinkie Pie smiled at him. Gummy just blinked, but Pinkie knew he was smiling too. "Today was wonderful Gummy," Pinkie said softly. It was unlike Pinkie Pie to be so calm. Gummy replied with a few blinks. He said, "I agree Pinkie." Pinkie Pie smiled at the little, green alligator. She couldn't think of a life without Gummy in it. He would sometimes hold on to her mane by his mouth to show that he loves her. "I'm glad that you enjoyed our little party together," Pinkie yawned. She soon feel into a deep sleep. Gummy looked at her as she slept. He thought about everything that happened that day. The little party was Gummy's favorite part of the day not because it was his birthday party, but because he got to spend it with Pinkie Pie. Gummy started to gum on Pinkie's mane. He listened to the rain pouring outside. But, he didn't care if the sky was all gloomy. He just cared if Pinkie Pie was gloomy. He felt tired, but he didn't want to fall asleep until he knew that Pinkie was going to be alright. He thought about what life would have been with another owner. That would probably not be bad, but he was thankful for Pinkie Pie. He blinked to Pinkie Pie "I love you." Gummy started to drift off. Gummy hoped the wish he made would come true. The wish that Pinkie Pie and him would be friends till the very end.
