> The Lawyer and the Queen > by Sword Master > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1-New World (Un-Edited)-(New Version) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- New World (Un-Edited) Chrysalis slowly woke up and looked around. She could see she was in some kind of forest. She could also see that the night sky had come up. She slowly picked herself up off the ground. She rubbed her head with her hoof as she straightened up her crown, but she instantly noticed it was gone. She then looked around to see that she was in a forest. She then began to growl and pound her hooves on the ground. "No this can't be. How could I have lost?" Said Chrysalis Chrysalis wasn't sure how long she was out or where she even was. She sat on the ground and replayed the events of this afternoon. She remembered her plan for taking of Equestria was perfect. She had Princess Celestia in a cocoon and she had Cadance trapped. She had her drones hunting down the element bearers. She had Shining Armor in her spell and her drones were destroying the city. Everything was going according to plan until that unicorn got involved. She then remember Shining and Cadance coming together and using love as their weapon. That love made a wave of energy that sent her and her forces flying. Damn, defeated by the very thing I drain. Ironic if there ever was an ironic situation like it. But how could I have known Shining Armor and Cadance's love each other would be my defeat. This isn't fair! She sighed as she got up and looked around again. She couldn't see any of her drones. Now where are they? She activated a spell to tell her of any drones were close, but none were. Wait, I'm alone, this just got better. She sighed as she used her horn to illuminate the area around her. She looked to see she was on some kind of path. Well now this interesting, I wonder where this leads. She began to walk it and hoping for something interesting to happen to her. She kept walking the path with her horn lighting the area. She soon found herself in front of an old temple. She could see that it was falling away with time. I wonder where in Equis I am. I have never seen anything like this before. She slowly entered the temple and looked around. She could see that it was extremely old as a lot of the writing on the walls had begun to fade with time. But she could see some of it was still intact. She stopped at a wall and looked at it. It had no words but only a few pictures. First was of two worlds that were extremely similar to each other. Then she could see ponies and some kind of monkeys. Both stood by a planet, she knew the planet the ponies were around was Equis, but the planet the monkeys were around was unfamiliar "What is this place?" She asked herself She began to walk more and soon found the moon light shining on a massive slab still standing. Everything on it was still intact. She looked to see the top showed the same image, but now had a strange tube connecting the two planets. She then stepped forward to see some words in Equis. She read them out loud to herself. "This is the portal to the land of two walkers. To travel, one must sacrifice one part of themselves to open the portal. But be warned as you may never get back what you sacrificed. But you will be granted your greatest wish you desire. But be warned this portal is a one way trip to the world of two walkers. But also to claim your wish you must accomplish the goal the stone gives you. To begin, tell the tone what you wish to sacrifice about yourself." Well now this is interesting. A portal to a world of two walkers, I guess those monkeys I saw. So if I complete some kind of goal, I get my greatest wish, well now that would be nice. Sure they say a one way trip, but I know with my wish, I'll be right back here. Now what to give up. Well surely not my magic. I'll need that in this new world. But I could lose the Changeling powers, though I would lose my shape shifting powers, but I wouldn't need to drain love. Alright, let's get this over with. "Gate or whatever you are, I sacrifice my Changeling abilities to you." Said Chrysalis She watched the stone slab began to glow and blue tentacles came out of it. They quickly wrapped around her and she watched as they turned red. Then they released her and she looked at herself. She was still a Changeling, but she didn't feel like a Changeling. Then she felt more tentacle wrap around her legs. She then watched as the middle opened into a portal. "Your goal to accomplish is to find the key to your lock. Now be warned as you will never return to Equis and again and will live out the rest of your life in the world of two walkers. Do you wish to leave forever?" "What kind of goal is that? Find what 'key to my lock'. Well I want my wish to be fulfilled, so I guess I'll take your deal. Send me and we will see if I ever return." Said Chrysalis "Your wish isn't always the one may think you want. For this gate will give you a wish you have wanted for years and sits at the back of your mind waiting to come true." Said the slab "Whatever, just send me already." Said Chrysalis The portal soon opened and Chrysalis smiled at it. Goodbye Equis and hello world of two walkers. She was flung into the portal and it closed back up behind her as it went back to just stone, waiting for the next pony to come to its gates. *** Chrysalis kept falling more and more through the portal. It felt like it was taking years to get herself to this other world. She soon saw a light and smiled as the portal was coming to an end. Soon it spat her up in a forest. She looked behind her as the portal closed. She then looked to see it was morning now and she was again in the forest, but something felt different about this forest. She could tell she was no longer on Equis. She could also feel no magic running through out the land. She then looked to the sky. She saw that the sky was full of clouds. She could also feel the sun light on her, it felt different. Well this is a strange world. It looks like Equis, but doesn't feel like it. Oh well, time to get this goal quest done. Then back to Equis so I can rule Equestria and maybe all of Equis to. But first I still have to figure out this stupid goal, 'find the key to my lock'. What in the hay does that mean?! She sighed as she began to walk the forest hoping to find some kind of life. She soon started to feel dizzy, like the world was spinning faster than she was used to. Her vision was started to blur and she would have to blink to get her vision back. She even started to walk strange, like she was drunk. What's going on?! She then fell to the ground but pushed herself back up. She then began to walk again, but with the same effects. Could it be this planet? She soon saw a one story house that looked like nothing she had ever seen. She soon tried to walk, but her body wouldn't let her go another step. She soon fell straight down and laid there. She tried to take some calming breaths, but it just made her want to vomit. She soon heard the sound of something coming up to her. Before she lost consciousness, she saw a being on two legs wearing some kind of foot wear. I wonder if this is that monkey two walker I saw. She couldn't think anymore as she fell into an unconscious state. > Chapter 2-Meeting (Un-edited) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Meeting (Un-Edited) Ethan White sat back in his chair. He was chewing the end of his pencil. He found that it strangely calmed him down, but it was more to keep himself entertained with his boring life. Ethan White was a twenty-five years old, 6'1'' male human. He had dark brown hair and sea green eyes. He had a modest set of muscle on his body. He worked out here and there since he knew a healthy life style was the best way to live. He was in a brown suit as he sat behind his desk. Ethan worked at a local law firm in Florida. He was a smart kid and was able to make it through college and then law school. He was able to pass the bar exam in one take, but took him a lot of studying. He was now a lawyer, but he found it wasn't what he had expected. But he felt other things in his life were the reason he felt so bored with it. He sighed as he looked at his clock. He saw that it was 5 pm. He sighed happily as his day was over. He packed up his brief case and closed up his office. He then proceed out and waved goodbye to all the people that worked at the firm. He then went out to his convertible and then placed his keys in the ignition. He then began to drive down the road to his house. Just another boring day at the office. Man, I never thought that I would live such a boring life. I mean, I thought the life of a lawyer would have been interesting. But I have to say, this is completely boring. He slowly pulled into his private drive. He lived in a forest area of Florida. It allowed him to live without many neighbors. He liked living without many people troubling him. He soon parked his car outside his one story house. Even though he had a large salary, he still left a one story house with two bedrooms and one and half baths was great. Plus he had a nice backyard. He got out of his car and locked it. He walked up to his door and began to insert his keys into the lock. He then turned them and was hit with cool air from his air conditioner. He didn't mind the Florida heat of Summer, but it could get crazy. He closed the door and placed his brief case in his home office. He then walked over to his room and changed into something more comfortable. He came back out in a grey colored t-shirt and a pair of basketball shorts. He stretched out his back as he walked into his kitchen. He went over to his fridge and pulled out a tub with some left overs in it. Inside was a modest sized burrito from last night. He popped it into the microwave and began to let it cook. He lend against the counter and looked at his nice house. But he sighed as it felt so empty. He had a large loving family back in South Carolina, but he found his job in Florida. Sure he could have worked in South Carolina, but this job paid more and was something he was always looking for when he was searching for law firms. But he never thought he would feel so lonely. He sighed as he heard the microwave beep at him. He pulled out his meal and grabbed a fork from a drawer. He then sat at his table and began to eat. He looked at the other chair and sighed again. If I keep bumming myself like this, I might not find my life here. There's plenty of single ladies in Florida, well if they are interested in a lawyer like me. I guess I'm just to average for them. Well I guess I just keep moving along till retirement. Well I never now, the right girl might just be right outside, in my backyard. He chuckled to himself as he kept eating his food. When he was finished, he placed the tub and fork in the sink. He then went outside to water the vegetables and fruits he had planted. He found gardening to be quit relaxing, plus he blamed his mother for getting him into gardening. He opened his sliding door that led out to his screen in patio. He then opened another door, which took him to his yard. He went over and looked over his garden. It was full of all types of vegetables and fruits. He looked through his garden to make sure no weeds had began to grow up. He then checked to see if any of his plants were ready to be picked. He could easily see that none were. He then grabbed his watering hose and began to water his plants. When he was finished he put his hose away. He was about to go inside when he heard a thud. He turned around and couldn't believe his eyes. On his lawn was a some kind of bug horse thing. He ran up to it. When he got close, he could see it close its eyes. Huh, must have fell unconscious. He then looked over the strange creature. He could see that it was covered in some kind of black armor. Its hair or mane in this case and tail were a cerulean. It had a few set of holes throughout it. He could also see that its hooves also had holes in them, making them look like Swiss cheese. It had a strange jagged horn coming out of its head. It then had a pair of bug wings on its back with some kind of green thing on her body where the wings were folded onto. I have never seen anything like it. I wonder what gender this thing is. Ethan went over to her tail and gently pulled it up. He easily put it down as a slight blush came to her face. Well female it is, I'll make sure never to look there again. He went back to the front of her and looked at her face. He then saw the fangs that hung from her upper lip. I wonder who and what she is. He scratched his head and looked up to see storm clouds rolling in and the distant boom of thunder. Oh what to do, should I call somebody. Well I'm pretty sure everybody would call, would think I was high on something. The police, well they might just think the same thing. The government's out, since I have no idea who I would even call. Well I guess I should take her in and make sure she's ok. Then when she wakes up, I'll get my answers. Ethan bent down and lifting with his knees, picked up the strange female bug horse thing. He then took her into his home as the wind began to pick up. Crazy timing storm, but I guess we were planned to have rain for this weekend. Ethan opened the door to his screened in patio of his home and then walked into his house. He closed the sliding door. He then gently set the bug horse thing on his couch. He then went over to make some tea as the storm began to rage outside his house. I guess I was lucky to get her before the storm got her. Well I guess it did happen, I found a girl right outside, in my backyard. Ethan chuckled to himself as he kept brewing up the tea. He had so many questions to ask this new stranger. But little did he know, this was the beginning of something more than he could have ever expected. > Chapter 3-Let's talk (Un-Edited) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let's talk (Un-Edited) Chrysalis's eyes slowly opened to a strange light. She rubbed her hoof across her eyes to adjust to this new light. What is this light? She slowly moved her hooves under her to get up, but they sank down into something soft. She looked to see she was on a couch. But it was much softer than any couch she had ever been on. Strange lights and a comfy couch. I must have died and gone to other side. Though I would have thought I would have been sent to Tartarus. She looked down to see a soft blue blanket kept her covered and warm. She held in her hooves. This doesn't feel like any material I've ever felt. The feeling was much softer than the blankets she had in her hive. She turned her head to look at the rest of her surroundings. She was in a large rectangular room. She looked up to see a ceiling made of some kind of white stone. A fan gently spun around, circulating the air. From the ceiling her eyes went over to a hallway. She didn't pay much attention to that. Next thing she noticed was a set of wooden cabinets. She got up from the comfy couch and walked over to them. She saw that one cabinet was full of books. She read over the titles, but none of them were clicking with her. What is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, The Lion the Witch and Wardrobe and Law 101? She kept looking over the books, but nothing pleased her. She went over to the second cabinet. They were full of binders with different titles. What is a George v. Alfred? She ignored the rest as she moved on. Now she was looking at some kind of large item. what would anypony do with this? She was looking at a large flat screen T.V. She bent down to see a DVD player and game systems connected to the T.V. She then moved her hoof to look at the games. What would one do with all this stuff? She just got up and decided to see what else she could find to help her figure out where she was. The rest of the room had a glass coffee table in the middle with a small vase on it. Small wooden coasters sat on the table. Each had the design of a dove with an olive branch. Last was a chair that seemed to be made of some type of tough material Chrysalis had never seen before. When she touched her hoof to it, it squeaked. I wonder what material was used for making this? I have never seen a material like it in all of Eques. She touched the chair a few more times, before growing bored with it. She went over to the next room. She looked to see rain lightly coming down outside from a set of windows above the couch. So I was brought in before it rained. I don't remember coming in. She saw a small hallway which lead out to a door. She could see some strange items of the floor. She found no interest to discover what they were. She walked from the room to the next. The instant she touched the floor, it was hard. She looked down to see a wooden floor. She then looked back to see the room before was covered in some kind of fur. Who in there right mind would put fur on the floor in one room and wood in another. She walked over on the wood floor. She was now in another room, about the same as the last one, but much different. She could tell it was a kitchen. She found an oven, sink, coffee maker, and fridge. But she had no idea about anything else. She looked over the wooden table. It had four sets around it. I do wonder how many creatures reside in this strange place. She saw a nice counter top in the middle of it all. It had many papers thrown across it. Chrysalis pushed through some, but the writing was complicated and boring to her. At least they write Equestrian, I wonder if they speak it. She continued to a new object. It was a door with different little buttons on it. She cocked her head to the side. Why would they place a door in a wall? She pulled the handle with her hoof and it opened it up. She found dishes inside, she still cocked her head to the side. She closed up the door and went to another strange box. The box had a door on it, but the inside was dark. Again a set of buttons sat on the side. They had numbers and words. What purpose does this serve? She looked around a little more. Enough of this, this won't tell me a thing. But maybe that hallway I saw will. She went towards the hallway and found that it made a 'T'. She looked the other way, but nothing about it drew her that way. It seemed to lead her outside. She went down the other way. She found that it 'T'ed off again. They were three rooms in this 'T' shaped hallway. The first she entered appeared to be a bathroom. It had a sink, toilet and shower. She stepped in and saw it was a little taller than bathrooms back in Eques. Some kind of giants must inhabit this house. Even though they were tall, they were about her height. At least they reach my height. She exited the bathroom and went down to another room. She opened the door to find a bedroom. It was a modest sized room with a single twin bed. A desk sat next to it with a lamp on it. A closet sat on a door sat on wall across from the room. A ceiling fan hung from the ceiling. Chrysalis closed the door and went to the last door. She opened it up to find yet another bedroom. Who needs two bedrooms? This room was much different than the last room she was in. This one was much bigger. It had a queen sized bed with a desk at one side. A door that lead to a closet sat on the adjacent wall. A night table sat next to the bed with a lamp on it. Yet another ceiling fan sat on the ceiling. Why can't I find nothing important? Well there was still one door I didn't go out. Chrysalis closed the door and went back to the main hall way. She looked at the glass door. She walked towards the door and looked out the window. She could see that it lead out to a screened in patio. She also saw a strange creature sitting watching the rain. What the hell is that? It looks like somepony stripped a monkey of all its fur. She looked at the strange hairless monkey. It had some kind of clothing covering its body. I wonder if they have to keep covered because they have no fur. She could see that a good amount of hair sat on its head. It was a dark brown in color. She had no idea what gender this monkey was. But it was the only lead she had to finding out about where she was. She looked at the door and used her hoof to push down the handle. As the door opened, it made a squeak noise. The monkey turned his head and she could see his sea green eyes. She looked into them and felt a strange calm come over her. Where the hell did that come from? She slowly walked over to him. She could see that there were two chairs, the monkey sat in one and the other sat empty. They were separated by a small table with a tea pot and tea cups on it. She looked at everything around her. It was a large screened in patio with nothing much to it. A large ceiling fan sat at the top, spinning the cool air outside around the room. But other than the chairs, table and fan, nothing was really here. This whole place is to simply for a queen like me. I wonder if this monkey is poor or something. Her ears then perked up as the monkey began to talk. "I'm glad to see you're up." Chrysalis could tell that this monkey had a masculine voice. So this monkey has to be male. Wait, I can understand him. So he does speak Equestrian. The voice was pleasing to Chrysalis's ears. It seemed to have a class standing, even though the house showed nothing like it. She waited for him to speak again, since she wasn't sure what to do "Well have a seat, I have some tea if you want it." He said Chrysalis looked at the chair in front of her and went over to it. She gently sat down on it, but it was a little hard since it wasn't made for ponies. But she made it work. She looked over to the monkey to see him pouring her some tea. The sent hit her nose as the liquid flowed into the cup. It was the scent of green tea. She wasn't a big tea drinking back on Eques, but she was thirsty. It didn't matter what it was, she needed something to end her thirst. "Here you go." He said Why is he being so polite to me? Isn't he scared of me? Doesn't he even know who I am? Chrysalis brought her horn to life. Her green magical color came to life across her horn. She brought the cup up to her mouth and sipped the hot liquid. This stuff isn't to bad. She kept sipping her tea, but cracked an eye to see the monkey examining her horn. He seemed to be extremely intrigued with it. It's like he's never seen magic. "Now that is amazing." He said "You act like you've never seen magic before." She said Chrysalis had decided to stop with the silent treatment. She watched as he was a little thrown off by the aspect that she could talk. She just raised her eyebrow to him. It's like he wasn't expecting me to talk. "So monkey tell me where I am?" She asked He began to look around before pointing a finger at himself. "Yes, you monkey," She said pointing to him. "Oh, me. Well I'm not actually a monkey. I'm what's called a human." He said "Human, what the hell is a human?" She said "I'm a human, I guess you have never seen anything like me." He said "You got that right." She said "I guess you have no idea where you are." He said "What gave you a hint?" Said Chrysalis rolling her eyes. "But before we go into anything, I might as well introduce myself. My name is Ethan White." He said "I am Queen Chrysalis of the Changelings." She said "Changeling, never heard of that." He said "We are a race of bug ponies that have an ability to transform into anything we see." She said "Interesting, don't mind if you show me that." He said Chrysalis smiled as this was the perfect way to walk among the people of this world. She tried and tried to transform into something else, but it was useless. Why can't I transform? She kept straining her body, but nothing was happening. As she calmed down, her mind clicked. She remembered to travel to this world, she had to give up something. I remember, I gave up my Changeling abilities. Great, I'm stuck in my bug pony form for the rest of my life. She gave a sigh as she had no way of transforming her body. "Something wrong." Said Ethan "Yes." She said She began to tell Ethan everything that had happened before she woke up on his couch. She told him about the great stone slab that would only activate if she gave something up. She told him that she had given up her Changeling abilities to come here. She was just basically an bug alicorn. Ethan listened to the whole story as he looked her over a few times. "So know you now why I can't transform." Said Chrysalis "Sure do, but that doesn't tell me much about where you come from. Mind explaining a little bit on that." He said Chrysalis gave a sigh and started to tell Ethan all about where she came from. Her hive where all her Changeling drones were. About Eques and who she wished she was the ruler of it all. Ethan seemed to moved back about her intent to rule a whole world using her drones. She also told him about her species. How the Changeling feed on love. Ethan was thrown back a little more, but seemed to settle when he remembered that she no longer had her Changeling powers anymore. But the whole story still drew Ethan in, even though she wanted to take over everything. "Interesting to think there is another world full of life. Specially one full of mystical and legendary creatures. Man, what I wouldn't give to visit that world. But to warn you, trying to take over this world won't get you far." He said "No worries, without my Changeling abilities, I'm basically stuck like this. So tell me Ethan, where am I." She said "Well your on the planet of Earth. Then in the continent of North America, which then goes country of America. America is then split into 50 states. You're in the state of Florida in my home." Said Ethan "Interesting, since I told you my world. Tell me about yours." Said Chrysalis Ethan began to give her a full history lesson of Earth and humanity. He went from the early ages of man all the way up to the new age of man. Chrysalis just looked at him with no interest of what he was saying. She would blink her eyes and yawn at certain times. Talk about a snooze fest. She kept nodding off, but perked up at certain parts. She liked the talks about war. Hm, interesting that these humans could be so violent to kill each other. Even the different species of Eques don't fight each other. But as soon as Ethan went back to the boring stuff, she went back to being bored. After a while, Ethan had finished a whole historical account of humanity. "So that's it." Said Ethan "I see what a boring and interesting life you humans have had." Said Chrysalis They both perked up as a clock began to chime. They looked back to see a wall clock. Chrysalis had somehow missed it when she was looking around. It read 7:30 pm. "Man, where the time go. So Chrysalis, it's about dinner time. Can I get a diet for you." He said "Well I used to consume love, but now I'm back to being a vegetarian." She said "Hm, well that's interesting. I guess it will make cooking in the house a little harder." Said Ethan "Why?" Asked Chrysalis "Well humans are omnivores. We eat both meat and vegetation. Now some people do become vegetarians, but they have to get protein from other items. While normal humans get it from meat. I hope you don't mind that." Said Ethan Huh, so humans consume meat. She placed her hoof to her chin to think. It is strange to be in the same place as a meat eater, but nothing to throw me off. I have consumed the love of many meat eaters to grow out my hive. She waved her head back and forth. "Well that's nice. I have some left overs from last night. Plus I'll show you a room that you can stay in, since I'm sure you don't want to go out in public." Said Ethan "Why would that be?" Asked Chrysalis "Because people might call the cops and the cops will call in the government. Then the government might take you to some underground base to understand you, if you get my drift." Said Ethan Shivers went up her spin at her words. Why do I feel so scared of these humans? I used to be the mighty queen of the Changelings. Maybe it has to do with being stripped of my original powers. I wonder if he'll do that to me. "So Ethan, would you hand me over to your government." Said Chrysalis "Please Chrysalis, I would never do that to you. I already deal to much with the bloody government to get roped into that." He said Chrysalis just gave a quick smile. Ethan smiled back and lead her back into the house as the rain storm was slowly coming to an end.
