> Given a New Life > by Kilo1901 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Arrival > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canterlot Castle, Infirmary, 6:00am "Uhh, What a crash" Wilson groaned to himself, sitting upright. "Huh, I'm all intact?" Wilson inspected his body. Save for some minor soreness, Wilson is all in one piece. He look to his left at the other beds expecting to see his teammates. While there are two other occupants on the next two beds of his, they were not his teammates. The occupant right next to him is a blonde haired white guy. Looked to be in his early twenties. Wilson assumed that he was a fellow until he noticed the length of his hair and what he was wearing. The guy's hair went down to his jaw and that hairdo is not allowed in the army. Well' at least for the guys. He is also wearing a chef's uniform and it wasn't an army one. What the hell is this guy doing in Iraq- Wilson thought but then stopped to look at the rest of the room. This place is not a tent so, this must be a hospital. But this room seems a little too fancy for a hospital in Iraq- Wait, is this even in Iraq?! Wilson thought and looked for a window. He saw that there is one right above him on the wall, stood up, then looked outside. The buildings he saw were white, gold, some purple, and looked fancy. He also saw that the city is not in a desert, further confirming that this place is not Iraq. The world also seem to be more bright and colorful. This is a nice place but where the hell am I?! He thought. Wilson got up from his bed and looked around again and spotted his backpack, body armor, and his uniform, all of which are on a chair. His boots are on the floor. Wilson realized that he was just wearing his white shirt, camo pants, and socks. He put on his boots and stood up. He also notice that his AR-15 and Desert Eagle nowhere to be seen. Shit! Where are my guns? He thought, but then noticed a large, flat, rectangular box behind the chair, it is locked. Well that's just great. Though, that box looks like it is meant to contain a gun waay longer than my AR. He thought. What about my knife? Wilson looked in his backpack and his load-out but didn't find his combat knife. Must be in the box as well. While rummaging through his stuff, Wilson heard groaning and yawning behind him. One of the other occupants have awoken. He turned around and saw the chef is awake. "Oh, my head." the chef said rubbing his forehead with a hand and sitting up. "Hey there." Wilson greeted. He noticed he had accent, a British sounding one. The chef looked at Wilson. He notice how tall Wilson is and how tall he is and how built he is as well as his attire. "Are you from the Army?" he asked "Yeah. My name is Wilson. Wilson Terrondo." "Leonardo Jarrison. Though I would prefer to be called Leo." They shook hands and looked at the third occupant. He is obviously the youngest one out of the three of them. Wilson assumed he is about 11 or 12 years old. His hair is longer than Leo's. It looks like it would go past his shoulder blades. He seems to be Caucasian, though, his skin is a tad darker than Leo's. The kid looks like he has endured some shit. He has bandages on the right of his forehead, his left forearm and his right ankle are in cast reinforced by braces. "Jesus Christ, what happen to him?" Wilson said but then he figured something. he turned to Leo, "Hey, Before you woke up, what was the last thing you remember?" "Well, I was in a cooking competition, cooking my dish and then the stove..." Leo put his hands on his head realizing what just happened to him, "It-it blew up on me..." Leo turned to Wilson, "What about you." Wilson crossed his arms and frowned, "Hehh, I was in Iraq, riding a chopper on the way to an outpost-base-thing, and then we got shot down..." He turned to the kid, "Wonder what's his story." "But how come he has injuries and we don't?" "I don't know he probably had those injuries before he died. So that means someone made him like that." Wilson had an angry look on his face and said thought gritted teeth, "If I'd met that person, I would beat them - to a god-damn pulp." Their attention turned to the opening door and who came in threw both of the men off. Coming in was a couple of nurses which is normal, given the fact that they are in a hospital. What threw them off was that the individuals did not appear to be human. They had bodies of a human female but their faces resembled a almost cartoony horse. Mares. The eyes are large and the muzzle is small. The four individuals just stood and stared at each other. The two mares seem to be twins as evident to their color scheme. One mare's hair, or mane is a whitish blonde while the rest of her coat is light brown her name tag says: Loving. "Loving's" sister's colors are the same but switched and her name tag says: Heart. After a while, Heart eeped and called for the guards while her sister just stood there. Immediately, three guards came in with muskets. They are anthropomorphic stallions. They had some armor on as well as helmets looking like light armored knights. They pointed their muskets at the two men. Wilson and Leo immediately threw their hands up. "WHOAH!! WHOAH!! We mean no harm! Ne need for that!" Wilson said. "Yes! W-What he said." Leo said. All three of the guards then pointed their muskets at Wilson. "Then tell why you came here with a musket and a pistol." the center guard commanded coldly. “My name is Wilson Terrondo, Imma First-Class Sergeant in the United States Army!” Wilson stated. “I swear to my mom’s name I mean no harm to this land.” The middle guard approached Wilson while the other two still aimed at Wilson. "On your mother's name huh? What's her name?" "Cassandra, Sir, but I've only know her for the first five years of my life..." The Guard raised his eyebrow, "Why's that?" Wilson looked down and frowned. “I rather not talk about it. But right now, all I want is to see that child get the medical attention he needs and find out who made him like that and kick, their, ass, Sir.” The guard turned to his comrades, “At ease you two. He means every words he says.” the two guards swung their guns onto their backs. The nurses started to take care of the young boy. Wilson relaxed as well. The guard stuck out his hand. "Name's Iron Wing." "Wilson Terrondo. Also, my gun isn't called a musket, it called a riffle. Ah-another thing, did you guys unload them?" "Yes. 'Cause you know we want to make them safe?" "How did you do so?" "We aimed at a safe spot and fired." "Like-Like, how many times?" "Once?" Wilson facepalmed, "There's like thirty more bullets in that thing." "But that's impossible! There's only one barrel!" "Uh-huh, unlock the box and let me make my guns safe." all Wilson got from the guards was stares. "Look, I really want my guns to be safe, for the safety of me, you guys- everybody here, Fuckdammit!!" "Alright, but if you start anything, I'm gonna shoot your face off!" "You got it." Wilson assured. With that, Iron Wing unlocked the box allowing Wilson access to his weapons. The Guards watched intently as Wilson took hold of his AR-15. The rifle is desert brown and has bunch of gadgets on it. It has a foregrip, mounted flashlight, and a laser sight in the front, a hybrid sight, the stock had a extra magazine on it and a cylinder capsule containing firestarters. Wilson pulled the charging handle and a bullet flew out of the ejection port, startling the guards. Wilson told them to calm down as he press the magazine release resulting of the magazine falling out. Wilson pointed the gun to a safe place, pulled the trigger and a loud click was heard. “Alright, she’s not gonna be hurtin’ anybody for a while.” he said as he put the gun back in the case and flipping the safety switch. He proceeded to pick up the stray bullet and the magazine from the ground. Wilson then picked up his coal-black Desert Eagle and pulled the slide releasing a bullet into the air then pressed the clip release and the magazine fell out. Wilson aimed the pistol at the same safe spot and pulled the trigger resulting of a less louder click. He flipped the safety switch and put it back in the case and put the magazines of both guns in his backpack. "Interesting weaponry. Say, how long have you been in service?" said Iron Wing. "Six years." Wilson answered. "Six years?! How did you reach First Class Sergeant?" "Connections, been enlisted throughout high school, physical capabilities, and I sorta helped them out, big time, when I was 13." "Impressive. Do you mind telling us about your guns, how do they work?" Wing assumed Wilson had a heavy pass and wanted to avoid having him talk about it. "Sure." Wilson and the guards talked about his guns while Leo watch the nurses replace the bandages on the boy's forehead. Upon seeing the cuts, Leo cringed. Starting from the side of his head to the front where rather deep cuts. "Was he like this when you found him?" Leo inquired. “Yes, We found a few small glass shards in the wounds.” Loving stated. "Poor thing." "Indeed, he was also bleeding profusely. Though we did stop the bleeding which is good." "What of his limbs?" Loving frowned, "Looks like he was blocking something with his left wrist, most likely something blunt. His Leg? Whomever struck his wrist did not him to escape so they shattered it but not much." "And from there, he escaped." "Exactly, but that is just my theory." "Well, hopefully it was just a skateboard accident." "I doubt that. When we found him, he had this large, hard-shell backpack on his back. It's on the other side of the bed." Leo nodded, and walk to said location where Heart is working. Just like Loving said, there is a large, black, hard-shell backpack on floor. "Excuse me." Leo said to Heart and picked up the backpack. It is rather heavy - no - VERY heavy, almost about 45 pounds. The side where the shoulder straps are located has cushions on it, so it will be comfortable when worn. The shoulder straps themselves are thick and cushiony to prevent aching. Leo tried opening it, but the requirement to do so is a ten-digit code, combination lock mechanism on the top. This backpack must be custom-made. Seeing that there is no brand name or logo. he thought. Leo then noticed that there is a name engrave on a metal tag above the lock. It was written cursive style and said: Joshua Griffin. "I believe the boy's name is Joshua Griffin." he said. "That's good to know." Heart commented. A thought poped up in Leo's head, "Say, how long have we been unconscious?" "You, 'droped in' four days ago. Today is your fifth day." "Oh, where are we right now?" "This place is : Canterlot Castle, the capitol of Equestria. Right now, we're in the infirmary." "...Good to know." ******** Canterlot Castle, Celestia’s Chambers, 6:45am Celestia just finished getting ready for the day. She started for the chamber's door when somepony knocked. "Come in." she said to whomever is on the other side of the door. The door opened and a guard came in. "Your Highness" he said putting his right fist to his heart and bowing his head. "At ease, Guard," The guard relaxed, "I got word that two 'humans' are awake." "Have you gotten their names?" “The big, buff one’s name is Wilson Terrondo. And the the blonde one is Leonardo Jarrison but he prefers to be called ‘Leo.’ The youngest one is yet to wake up but his backpack turns out to be custom made and it had the boy’s name on the top. It said Joshua Griffin.” "What of the weapon that Wilson came in with? In he going be a threat?" “No your Highness, Wilson does not mean any harm to Equestria he made them - ‘safe’ and put them back in the case we provided. As of now he is really concerned about Joshie. Also he’s a First-Class Sergeant where he came from.” "What of Leo?" "Turns out, He's an elite chef." “I look forward to his cooking. Have a stove ready for him to use, along with ingredients.” "What if he doesn't want to cook." "He can decline." "Then, consider it done." "Also have the maids ready separate baths for the two." "What about Joshua?" "Have the nurses Keep a close eye on him in case he wakes." "Consider that done as well." "Is Luna informed of this?" "My partner is on her way to inform her." Celestia gave him a smile, "Good, you are dismissed." The guard stood straight, put his right fist on his heart and bowed his head. “Yes, Your highness.” he said and went out the chambers door to carry out his task. Wilson, Leo and Joshua. Celestia thought to herself. She started for doors as well to meet the humans. “They seem a different from the ones Twilight has describe?” she said to herself, recalling her protegee’s experience in the human world. Celestia approached her desk to write to Twilight. She written about the three Humans and how they are different than the ones that Twilight described. She also invited Twilight and her friends to the castle to meet the humans. She sent the letter and head for the door. “Let’s make some new friends.” she said to herself. > Getting Ready to Meet the Sisters > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canterlot Castle, Infirmary, 7:00am The nurses finished replacing Joshua's bandages and chatted happily with Leo. They talked about Equestria and all of its inhabitants. Leo found out that there are three tribes of ponies. The Unicorns, they have the ability to use magic with their horn. They are usually the most intelligent. The Pegasi, they have wings for flying and have the ability to control weather. The usual occupation for these ponies is weather management. The Earth Ponies, they are known for their strength and vigor. They do most of the farming and landscaping. Then there is the Alicorn, there are only five of them, one recently born. They are all three of the tribes combine together and enhanced. All the Alicorns have very important roles in Equestria. Princess Celestia and Luna rule Equestria together. While, Princess Cadence protects and rules the Crystal Empire, which is up north. Princess Twilight Sparkle is a member of the Elements of Harmony which protects Equestria from evil. Then there is Princess Cadence's daughter: Flurry Heart... who is still a baby and her only role is being cute. Wilson and the guards talked about his weapons which led them to talked about Equestria's technology. Wilson found out they are a bit behind on weapons technology. They only have flintlock guns. Though when it comes to the other stuff like: medical equipment, household appliances, the use of electricity etc. they pretty much the same as the ones on Earth. They don't have cars or planes but have aspect-drawn carriage. Aspects are these magical constructs made by the Unicorns used for transportation and farming. They also have trains. Interesting Joshua has not awaken yet, but he is sleeping peacefully unaware the event around him. A new guard came in, “Wilson, Leo, Princess Celestia has a couple of bathrooms ready for you. When you are ready, these maids will lead you to your perspective bathrooms.” “What about Joshua?” Wilson inquired. The guard turned to Loving and Heart, “You two are to keep a close eye on the boy.” the mares nodded. He turned back to Wilson and Leo, “The Princess also invites you two for a morning breakfast.” “Sounds good. What time will it start?” "In an hour" Wilson looked at Leo, “Well, a shower sound good right now.” He got up, “Make sure he’s okay.” he said to the nurses and started for the door. “A shower does sound nice.” Leo said, following Wilson to the door. Each maid approached their assigned human and lead them to their bathrooms. ********* Canterlot Castle, Wilson’s bathroom, 7:20am Wilson just finished showering, got out of the stall and just noticed a young, female guard standing by the entrance, keeping an eye on him. She is fully covered in light armor and has a musket on her back. The armor and musket did not bother him. Though, the fact that guard is a mare made him blush a little. "Jesus Christ. How long have you been there?" Wilson asked while covering his privates with his hands which is kind of difficult to do since he is, "gifted." The mare only replied smiling and molested Wilson body with her eyes. Wilson stood six feet, 11 inches. His body is very muscular and chiseled, not strand of hair is seen on his body, save for his head. His skin is light brown and his hair is blackish brown. His eyes are greenish-blue. Wilson frowned, “Hello? You there? You’re supposed to be standing at attention, not mentally molesting me.” Wilson said sternly. The mare realized her mistake and stood at attention, looking up. This did not even last five seconds when her eyes drifted down back to Wilson’s body. Wilson let out a huff, “Newbie….” he said flatly and turned around and headed for the sink and grabbed a towel to dry up and put it in the hamper. The mare scrunched her face at him but immediately started staring at his butt. The mare then noticed various scars throughout Wilson’s back. When Wilson finish brushing his teeth and shaving his face with a razor he requested, he turned around and the mare noticed a scar starting from the top of his right shoulder to the bottom of his left pec. It looks like was caused by some type of sword. Wilson notice the mare’s observation, “When I was about six, some bastard landed a lucky hit on me with a machete.” The mare gasped at Wilson’s remark. Wilson rose his hand, “Don’t worry about it. I don't wanna talk about it.” The door open and the maid who lead Wilson to the bathroom came in with Wilson’s army pants, white shirt, socks and boots. She placed the freshly cleaned clothing on the bathroom counter and the boots on the floor. “The black polo you requested will be here soon” the maid said then exited. “See? Now that’s what I call: composure.” Wilson said, pointing at the door where the maid exited. The guard mare scrunched at Wilson eliciting a laugh from the guy. Though on the other side of the door, the maid is frantically fanning herself with her hand all the while blushing like mad. “My, he’s certainly a very gifted individual.” she said under her breath. The other maid who lead Leo to his bathroom, which is adjacent to Wilson’s bathroom, came out of door blushing and smiling like a dope. “He’s soooo dreamy.” she said as blood started coming out of her nose. She recalled seeing Leo's lithe but muscular body stood about six feet. His hair is like gold and eyes like sapphire. His hair went down to his jaw. Seeing this, the other maid face-palmed. After ten minutes, Both Wilson and Leo exited their perspective bathrooms. Wilson had a black polo accented with white stitches with his camo pants and brown boots. Leo had a black, formal vest over a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows complete with a tie along with his black dress pants and shoes. "Thank you for the vest, shirt and tie." Leo said. "AAyy, Looking sharp, bro." Wilson complimented. "You too...bro." Leo said, not really used to using the term: “Bro.” He turned to the maids, “Shall we?” they nodded, by this time they have gathered their composure. “Right this way.” they both said then proceeded to lead the men to the Royal Banquet Room to dine with the Royal Sisters. > Meeting the Sisters and Friends > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Canterlot Castle, Royal Banquet Room, 7:30am Princess Celestia walked about inspecting meals the chefs prepared. The the food is set in the center of the Banquet Room. The place is welcoming and casual, not really meant for formal meetings. There are other banquet rooms for that. Celestia arranged this particular room only for her close friends. On the west side of the room, there is a door that leads to the hallway. On the the north side of the room, is another door, but it leads to a large balcony that serves as a landing platform for Aspect-Drawn Carriages. On the south side of the room are doors that lead to the kitchens. The east wall has three stained windows along with most of the tables of the room set alongside it. Each table are big enough for four occupants. The tables set against the wall only hold three. After a while Celestia's ear perked up when she heard “Good morning Sister.” Celestia turned around to her younger sister, Princess Luna. “Good morning to you as well Lulu.” she greeted. "Where are the Humans?" "They are on their way." "And what of Twilight and her friends?" "They'll arrive shortly." Luna frowned, “Sister, are you sure Wilson will not be a threat to Equestria?” "No, he will be no such thing. Also, I understand keeping an eye on him even while he’s showering, but why did you send a female guard who has been serving for only three weeks?” "She volunteered... She was very eager too." Luna blushed now understanding the mare-guard's intentions. "I certainly hope that nothing funny happened in there." Celestia blushed, "What if something did happen?" "Then at least he'll be in a good mood." Luna joked. The two chuckle to each other when they hear a deep, masculine voice say- "Yeah, that didn't happen..." They turned around to see two humans standing at the door that leads to the hall way. Both individuals are tall but the black, short-haired one is about a foot taller than the blonde-haired one, who is about six feet. “But I am in an alright mood.” the taller human said as he approached the two sisters with the other following behind. From afar, the taller human looked to be the same height as Celestia. Now that he is up close, the top of her head only went up to his nose. Luna and the other human are the same height. The four proceeded to do their greetings and introductions. After they did so, Wilson looked around the room and the various food laid out on the table in the center of the room. “[color=#0020c2Hey, uh - Is it gonna be just the four of us here, or is there gonna be more people? Because this room, looks like it is designed, for more people.” "People?" both sisters asked. “It’s a term we use for referring to multiple individuals.” the sisters nodded “What word do you use?” “We use the word: ‘ponies.’” “So, what’s your version of ‘Somebody?’” “‘Somepony.’” “Okay, I think I got the hang of your grammar.” “Yeah… Yes, I got it too.” “That’s good. Anyways, yes I invited my protegee and her friends.” “Which is how many more Ponies?” “Seven along with a dragon. If he so chose to come.” “Dragon? Dragons live here?” Wilson asked semi-not surprised knowing that Minotaurs and stuff lives in this world. Though, he was never informed about dragons. “Yes, there are dragons, but they usually keep to themselves and nopony dared to bother them.” “But do they bother you?” “They keep, to themselves…” she repeated flatly. “Oh, right.” “So what the dragon’s name and how did he come to coincide with you, Ponies?” “Actually, I found his egg during a trip.” “Speaking of finding, how were we found?” “You fell from the sky like meteors and crash-landed into various parts of Canterlot.” Luna turned to Wilson, “You landed in the city streets nicking the corner of a building on the way to the ground.” “Oh, my bad. Was the damage bad?” “You’ve nothing to worry about, Wilson. The damage is repaired and paid for.” she reassured. Wilson let a sigh of relief. Luna turned to Leo, “You landed onto my personal garden.” Leo cringed and Luna saw it, “Had the damage been mended?” he asked. “No, it’s still a mess as of now and you got my Night Lilies!” She said, letting out a little bit frustration. “Those are my favorite...” “Firstly, I am very sorry for ruining your garden. Secondly, I was unconscious and did not have control on where I would land, and if I did, I would chose to land into an open field or lawn.” “Well, at least you two didn’t cause too much money's worth of damage. The youngest one however…” Wilson and Leo looked and listened for Celestia to continue. “He landed in my throne room. Shattering a stained window and cracking the floor.” “What’s the flooring made of?” “Pure, white Quartz.” “Tiles?” “No.” “Damn, now that’s gonna nick the wallet a little. Though can you just use magic to repair the floor? Like, you know - Fuse it together?” “That, we did. It is just that the window is the one that's doing the nicking.” She sighed. “Though, Leo is right, none of you were not conscious nor did you have control of where you'd land. Therefore, we can’t blame you. Also, when we found Joshua, he had tears flowing from his closed eyes and his injuries where fresh.” “And I have many question about your weapons.” Before Wilson can say anything a couple of guards open the balcony doors from the outside allowing passage of the seven mares and a dragon into the room. Twilight Sparkle, her friends, pupil and draconic assistant entered the room. The group of friends first saw the tall and muscular human. Wilson turned his head to Celestia, “I take it that the tall, purple one with Horn n’ Wings is your protegee?” Celestia nodded in response. Wilson strode towards said pony and stuck out his hand, “Hi! My name is Wilson. Wilson Terrondo. It's nice to meet you, miss Twilight Sparkle.” he said warmly. “Likewise.” Twilight smiled and shook Wilson’s hand. Wilson then proceeded to greet the rest of the group. The next two mares that greeted him is a prismatic haired pegasus named Rainbow Dash and an orange coated earth mare with a stetson on her head named AppleJack. The next mare is a Yellow coated Pegasus mare. She was shaking his hand but is not making eye-contact with him. “Last I remembered, my eyes are on my head and, not that wall over there. Look up here.” She looked up at Wilson’s eyes. Wilson gave a polite smile, “There we go, that’s more like it.” “I-It’s really nice to meet you… Wilson.” she says. “Same here, uh- What’s your name?” “FlutterShy.” She answered. Hmm, relevant... Wilson nodded and turned to the next mare to greet her only to be ambushed by a happy, pink hug, along with hearing, “HI WILSON!” “Okay, I could do hugs.” he said as he returned the hug making the Pinky even happier. “An’ what’s your name?” She looked up from the hug at him, “I’m Pinkie Pie, and it’s really nice to meet you!” “Same, here.” he said. Pinkie smiled and broke the hug and went for Leo. Who has been giving his greetings to the mares Wilson has already greeted. The dragon is also there. He turned around to see a white coated unicorn mare. Out of the rest of the other mares, her attire is the most formal and her mane is the most done. “Salutations, Miss.” “Salutations to you as well, Mr. Wilson. The name is Rarity.” they Shook hands. “Rarity, huh? Well that must be a hellava rare name to come by eeehhhhh - No...” Rarity slightly giggled at the display, “You know, when I first met Pinkie, she made that same joke.” “Hmm, I figured she’s the punny type.” "Hey there." Wilson turned around to see another unicorn mare. Her coat is purple, similar to Twilight Sparkle, but her mane is a similar style as Rarity’s and has green stripes. “HI. What’s your name?” “I’m Starlight Glimmer. It's a pleasure to meet you.” They shook hands. “It’s a pleasure as well, Starlight.” He looked at both Mares and gestured to the rest of the group of mares, “So all of you are friends?” “Yes, but not only that we are friends, We also the Elements of Harmony.” “So there are seven Elements?” “Oh no, There are six. Starlight here, is Twilight’s Pupil.” Rarity got close to Wilson’s ear and whispered, “She has been reformed recently.” “What did she do?” he whispered. “I’ll tell you later.” she whispered-answered. Wilson nodded. “Alright, That’s good to know.” Wilson said no longer whispering. “Anyways, what element you do you represent, Rarity?” “I’m the Element of Generosity.” “And the others?” “Rainbow is Loyalty, AppleJack is Honesty, FlutterShy is Kindness, Pinkie is Laughter, and Twilight is the Element of Magic and also the Princess of Friendship.” “That’s Cool, and what does th-” "Hey guys, everypony is starting to get breakfast. Wanna go?" Wilson and Rarity looked about the Banquet Room and realized that the rest of the group are now browsing the food in the center of said room. Wilson looked at the two mares, “Well some food sounds great after the recent events.” “What happen?” Both mares asked. “How about we get some food first?” Both mares nodded in agreement to Wilson’s proposition and they started for the food table to get breakfast and join the rest of the group.
