The human Allen has been living in Equestria for a year and a half now he has been living with the apple family and he has had hs eyes set on a certain farm pony and he hopes he can impress her but does miss element of honesty feel the same?
This is my first time writing a fan fic so pointers and criticism is very much approved i hope you will all enjoy this fan fic ^_^
This is a Shipfic of a human name Allen who was some how transported to Equestria he doesnt remember how he came to live in a magical land of pony's but he is going to make the best of it. this story takes place a year and a half after his arrival and his heart is after a certain farm pony lets see how this plays out between Allen the human and Applejack the element of honesty.
Hello, My name is Allen and i have been living in Equestria for a year and a half now. I don't remember how i got in Equestria, but honestly i really don't miss my old home. I am enjoying my new life. I live in Ponyville, well more like Sweet Apple Acres. I was shocked to know i arrived in a land with magical equines or ponies as they liked to call themselves. I have been living there since i first came to Equestria, especially since i woke up in Sweet Apple Acres. I am still confused on how i got here though. All i remember is falling asleep on my couch after i went for a early evening jog. It was summer and the heat was too unbearable to jog in the day. I ran a few miles and as soon as i got home i crashed on the couch. I always have a bad habit of pushing myself too hard it was my stubborn pride i guess, but anyways lets get back to the hear and now. It was early in the morning and i was on my way to the Carousel Boutique to have a few new outfits made for me it was run by a mare named Rarity. She was a unicorn with a white coat and purple mane and tail that were curly. The ponies here didn't really know what to think of me at first but after meeting their ruler Princess Celestia, She assured them that i meant no harm and they welcomed me with open hooves. An Alicorn by the name of Twilight Sparkle was especially interested me and wanted to learn about me and my world. I was hesitant at first afraid of what they might think or do if they found out i came from a world of poverty, destruction, and war, however i told her regardless and she assured me that i might be from that world, but that doesn't make me evil as long as i wasn't causing any of the evils of that world. I assured her i wasn't and she smiled in understanding and sympathy for me living in such a horrible place, anyways back to the present (again). I had arrived at the Carousel Boutique and i knocked on the door 3 times before i heard a voice.
"Come in, Darling." I walked into the Boutique and smiled at the fashionista and she gave a small smile back. "Oh Allen! what a pleasant surprise! what brings you into my Boutique?"
"Hi Rarity, I was wondering if you can make me a few outfits i just hope you aren't too busy." You said nervously hoping you weren't interrupting anything important.
"Of course i can darling and i am hardly busy this week because you and Spike helped out so much." she gives you a appreciative smile as she grabs her glasses to begin her work. "To be honest darling i was wondering when you would come to me for a new wardrobe the clothes you wear aren't very "fashionable" no offense."
"None taken Rares that's exactly why i came to you, since you are a fashionista i knew you could make some new outfits to make me look more attractive." You smile as she looks at you intrigued by your response.
"Why do you wish to look more attractive? Has somepony caught your eye as of late?" She looks at you with a smirk and you blush slightly.
"Well yes actually but i am not going to say who it is right now, but if i know she also has feelings for me then you will be the first to know" She smiles at you and nods in understanding.
"I understand darling i just hope things do work out for you." She smiles as she gather her materials.
Rarity has been your closest friend besides Applejack since they were the ones who found you asleep in the orchard of Sweet Apple Acres. Little does Rarity know is that you have a huge crush on Applejack. You always admired how hard working she is, plus she also shares that stubborn pride of yours.
"So darling what kind of outfits would you like?" She asks as she is currently measuring your height and weight.
"Well i would like a new set of casual everyday clothes i can wear on a daily basis, that way i can get rid of these." You say as you point at the clothes you are currently wearing which are a painful remind from where you are from.
She looks at you with a sympathetic smile understanding why you want new casual garments. "I completely understand the reason why Allen and what of the other two?"
You stand there and ponder for a moment. "Hmm how about some decent clothes i could use when going on dates and stuff like that?" you blush slightly.
Rarity giggles and nods. "Well you do need to look your best if you are able to take your special somepony out on a date. " You blush furiously as she continues to giggle. "And what of the last of your outfits?"
"I also need some work duds nothings too fancy obviously since my only job is helping out at Sweet Apple Acres but i still want to look more presentable while i work." You do your best to hide your blush this time but Rarity notices anyways and gives you a big smirk.
"Very well darling i will make some working attire that Applejack will just find you very handsome in." She winks as you as she gets to work on your new outfits and you can't contain your blush any further.
"H-How did you know it was Applejack?" you asked nervously.
"Darling your answer about your last garment made it fairly obvious, besides i have seen the way you look at her." She giggles as she continues to work.
"O-Oh w-well guess that cats out of the bag." You laugh as you sit down waiting for your clothes to get finished. "By the way Rarity i need my work duds finished first because i need to get back to Sweet Apple Acres and help Applejack in the orchard."
She nods in understanding as she is concentrating on her work. "Of course Allen." She finishes your work duds and levitates them over to you using her magic. "Here you are darling i think you will find them most comfortable and Applejack will find you very handsome." You smile as you go get changed in the booth Rarity made specifically for you since you are uncomfortable with changing in front of others especially mares for obvious reasons. When you walk out Rarity gives you a big grin as she looks you over. "You look smashing Allen for wearing working garments anyways." she giggles softly as she returns working on your other outfits.
You smile as you look yourself over in a mirror. "Very nice Rarity this is sure to impress Applejack. So how much do i owe you for the outfits?"
Rarity turns to you and smiles. "No charge for these outfits darling. After all you help out a lot around here on your free time when Spike couldn't so these outfits are free. Just promise me you will do your best to impress Applejack." You smile brightly and nod.
"Thank you Rarity and i will promise to do my best." She smiles and looks at you sternly.
"Pinkie Promise?" You chuckle as you make the gestures for the pinkie promise.
'Cross my heart and hope to fly. Stick a cupcake in my eye." She giggles as she nods and returns to your garments as you leave for Sweet Apple Acres.
You return to Sweet Apple Acres with a smiling Applejack waiting for you. "Howdy there Allen! ready to get to some Apple buckin'?"
You smile and walk up and hug her as she returns the hug with gusto. "I sure am Applejack just had to get me some work duds first."
She smiles as she looks you over. "I can see that and you look mighty good in those duds a lot better then them other clothes you had." She says turning away before you could see her blush. "We best get to work daylights a wastin'." You blush as you follow her to the orchard to do some Apple bucking.
In the early evening you are continuing to Apple buck as Applejack takes a quick breather as she did more work than you did and faster than you did. You know you can't match her because she has been Apple bucking for a long time, but you still want to impress her by working harder than you ever had before and sure enough you did. She looked at you with a big smile on her face thinking to herself that she is glad you can handle so much labor and she was half right. You were exhausted but you didn't let Applejack see and you knew you could keep going a little longer, or at least that's what you thought. Within a few minutes you immediately collapse on the ground and you are barely moving a muscle. Showing much concern Applejack rushed over to you and began to shake you lightly.
"Allen? Are you alright Allen?" She quickly notices that your face is as red as the apples in the orchard and that you are panting very heavily. She checks your head with her hoof and gasps and pulls away at how hot your head is. "Lam sakes you are burnin up with a fever i need to get you inside and fast!" She quickly lifts you up on her back and runs to the house yelling for her brother and sister in a frightened panic. "APPLEBLOOM! BIG MAC! QUICK GET SOME COLD WATER AND GET ALLEN'S BED READY HE HAS A VERY HIGH FEVER!" Big Mac and Applebloom looked at each other and nodded.
"Do you want me to make the bed while you get the water big mac?" Applebloom looked at her brother for a response.
Applebloom and Big Mac stare at you with concern. Applejack lays a damp cold rag on your forehead as you breathe heavily still unconscious. Applejack being the one most worried as she sits down beside you while you are in bed waiting for Zecora to come and give you some herbal medicine.
"Just hang in there sugarcube. Zecora is on her way with some medicine." Applebloom looks at Applejack with concern.
"Is he going to be alright Applejack? He isn't gonna die is he?" Applejack look at her sister with reassurance.
"i sure hope not Applebloom his fever is getting mighty worse. He pushed himself too hard, but i am not leaving until i know for certain that he is alright. Big Mac can you finish bucking the rest of the apples while i take care of Allen?" She looked over at Big Mac waiting for an answer.
Big Mac simply nodded. "Eeyup." after his answer he went to finished Applejack's chores no sooner did he leave Zecora walked through the door.
"Applejack what is all of the commotion? And why is your face filled with sad emotion?" Zecora asked looking at the saddened and stressed Applejack.
"It's as i said Zecora. Allen has a high fever and it seems to be getting worse. I don't know what to do. Can you help him?" Applejack looked at Zecora with pleading eyes.
Zecora went and checked your temperature and her eyes grew wide. "Allen's temperature is much too high, if he doesn't take some medicine soon then he will surely die."
Tears started to form in Applejack's eyes as she pleaded to Zecora. "Please Zecora save him i can't bare to lose a friend! He has helped out so much and he has gotten so close with me and my friends." Tears started to flow freely as Applebloom walked up and hugged her sister to comfort her.
Zecora gave Applejack a reassuring smile. "Do not worry miss Applejack everything will be alright. Just give him this medicine twice a day and let him get some rest and relaxation for a few days and nights. He needs to rest for a couple of weeks or so and then he will be as good as new this i surely know." She handed Applejack the medicine and she gave Zecora a hug before the zebra turned and left.
"Thank you so much Zecora." Zecora simply smiled as she went back home into the Everfree Forest.
Applejack quickly gave you some medicine and sighed in relief as your breathing started to become calmer. "Thank Celestia that you are going to be alright." She smiled as she dipped the rag back in the cold water and put it back on your forehead to keep your body cool.
You woke up early the next morning to see you were lying in bed with a cold wet rag on your head. "What happened? And why do i feel like i got hit by a train?" You put your hand on the edge of the bed only to feel a soft hoof on the bed next to you. You turned to look and you saw Applejack sitting in the floor with her head and front hooves laying on the edge of the bed sleeping soundly. You can't help but smile and feel appreciative knowing that Applejack is so concerned about you. You run your hand through her blonde mane and she lets out a content sigh in her sleep. Not wanting to wake her up you lay back down gently and just stare up towards the ceiling, however your movement causes Applejack to sit up quickly and she notices you are awake and she leaps and hugs you tightly with a big smile on her face.
"Allen! Oh thank Celestia you are alright i was worried sick about you!" You lay there shocked for a few moments but return the hug.
After a few minutes you let go of each other and look at her with confusion. "So what happened A.J.? I know i was busting my rump in the orchard gathering as many apples as i can but then everything suddenly when dark."
Applejack looked at you with tears filling her eyes. "You blacked out while working in the orchard. I ran over to see what was wrong and when i checked you was running a mighty high fever. I took you in to the house as quickly as i could while Applebloom set up your bed and Big Mac got some cold water and a rag to keep you cooled down. Afterwards i sent word to Zecora to come here immediately it was an emergency. She said that if you didn't take any medicine soon that you would die. I was so scared i thought you wasn't going to make it, but she had the medicine we needed and i gave it to you the instant she handed it to me and i guess i was so worried that i ended up falling asleep right here."
You grab her and pull her into another hug the biggest hug you have ever given her "Applejack thank you i don't know what to say. If it wasn't for you i would be dead right now. I guess i pushed myself too hard and over-work myself. I owe you big time Applejack." She blushes heavily and returns the hug happily.
"Think nothing of it sugarcube you are my friend i would hate to see such a good friend die on me like that." her blush subsides before she pulls away and looks at you with a big smile "So what would you like for breakfast?" You look at her and frown.
"Applejack i should be the one making you breakfast after saving my life i couldn't ask you to-" You were cut off when Applejack put a hoof to your mouth.
"Oh fiddle sticks it was my pleasure, besides Zecora's orders are for you to stay in bed for a couple of weeks so that's just what you are going to do!" She looks at you sternly and seriously and you let out a sigh of defeat remembering that she is just as stubborn as you if not more.
"Alright A.J, you win." she smiles at her victory but mostly due to the fact that you was going to let her take care of you.
"So? what will it be?" she looks at you excitedly
"Well if its not too much to ask can you make me some apple muffins?" You look at her with a goofy smile on your face.
She giggles and nods. "i will go make a batch right now." but before she leaves you stop her to ask another question.
"Could you also send Applebloom up here? I need her to go pick something up for me in town."
She smiles and calls for Applebloom. As Applejack leaves the room Applebloom walks in with a giddy smile on her face. "Oh good! You are awake! we was worried about you Allen. Do ya need somethin?"
You nod as you smile "Yes i have an important task for you and the rest of the Cutie Mark Crusaders." Appleblooms eyes gleam with excitement.
"Really?! What is it?" she starts to bounce up and down excitedly.
You chuckle at her excitement as you explain the rest. "Its not a very big task but its still important to me none the less. I need you, Sweetiebelle, and Scootaloo to pick up a couple of outfits for me at the Carousel Boutique and bring them to me in top condition. Besides my work duds those are the only clothes i will have and i can't go and get them i need to stay in bed for a couple of weeks so i can get better. I am giving you three this task because i trust you and i believe you can handle it please don't let me down Applebloom." She nods with a seriously look on her face as she salutes you.
"Yes sir Allen sir! The Cutie Mark Crusaders wont let you down we will take good care of the merchandise and bring them to you unharmed!" you smile and nod as you salute her back and hand her a note.
"That's what i like to hear Crusader! If rarity is hesitant in giving you the merchandise hand her this note and she should understand. now move out!"
Sir yes sir!" She rushes out excitedly as she giggles happy at the thought of how you show her trust and gave her an important task and she runs to get Sweetiebelle and Scootaloo. Applejack giggles at the site and brings in your Apple muffins.
"You sure know how to motivate Applebloom and make her happy." You smile as you begin to eat the muffins and drink the Apple cider she brought you.
"She just wants a chance to show she can be responsible too and that's why i ask her to do these things for me to give her some sort of responsibility." She nods in understanding and she sits down to keep you company as you eat breakfast.
Applebloom rushes into town and to Sugarcube Corner where Sweetiebelle and Scootaloo are waiting for her. Once she sees them she waves and they sit down and they each order a milkshake to talk about what crusading they are going to do today to earn their cutie marks, but Applebloom intervened in the middle of the conversation remembering the important task that was given to them.
"Girls, Allen just gave us a really important task for us to do its nothing big but its still very important to him this is a big responsibility he is giving us!" the other two look at her in excitement.
"COOL!" Sweetiebelle and Scootaloo said in unison. Scootaloo sits her milkshake down to speak.
"So what's this task he wants us to do?" Applebloom look at the two with a serious stare.
"He has two outfits that he needs us to pick up at Carousel Boutique besides his work duds he has on now those are the only other two outfits he has and he can't get them himself because he is sick and can't get out of bed for a couple of weeks, so he is giving us this opportunity to show we are responsible and having us pick it up for him." Sweetiebelle got excited knowing what Applebloom was talking about.
"Oh yeah i remember seeing my sister Rarity working on some clothes yesterday. She said that they were for Allen. She was worried why he hadn't came and got them yet." Scootaloo smirks and crosses her hooves.
"This will be easy." She smiled confidently but Applebloom continued to show them how serious this was.
"This wont be as easy as you think Scootaloo we have to get these outfits to him today and we can't let them get damaged at all. This is precious cargo we will be carrying. If we want to be responsible then we absolutely cannot fail in this task. Plus i don't want him being disappointed in us." Scootaloo's face changes to a more serious yet still confident one.
"Well in that case we need to take this more seriously than we do when trying to get our cutie marks." Sweetiebelle also shows seriousness and confidence in her face.
"Well what are we waiting for lets go get those outfits and bring them to Allen!"
They all finished their milkshakes and high hoofed each other and yelled in unison " YEAH!"
The CMC arrived at the Carousel Boutique and went inside to talk to Rarity. Applebloom was the first to say something. "Hey Rarity Allen sent us to pick up his clothes for him." Rarity looked at the crusaders nervously.
"Ah well... I don't think that would be a wise decision girls these outfits are very important and i really don't want to risk seeing them get ruined. "Applebloom pulled out a note and showed it to Rarity.
"it's from Allen he said to hand it to you in case you were hesitant in handing us the outfits." Rarity lifted it from Applebloom with her magic and began to read it. The note read.
Dear Rarity, I Sent the CMC to pick up my outfits for me. I am sick and in bed so i am unable to get them myself plus the girls want to learn to be responsible so i am giving them the opportunity. Applebloom guaranteed me that she and her friends will deliver them safely and unharmed and i trust Applebloom and her friends. This was my idea so please let them show they can be responsible i know you will make the right choice. From, Allen.
Rarity gave a smile and a little sigh. "Alright girl just be EXTRA careful with them i worked hard on these outfits." As she went to hand them the outfits she saw how serious the CMC looked and she was completely awe in shock by how serious they were. Especially Sweetiebelle.
"I promise sister we WILL bring the clothes to him in tact no matter what!" Scootaloo stepped in and started to speak.
"We pledge our honor as Cutie Mark Crusaders that we WILL NOT fail!" and Applebloom stepped forward to speak.
"Not just as Cutie Mark Crusaders but as Allen's friends we WILL complete this task-" the other two stepped in at the last moment and they all yelled in unison.
RESPONSIBLY!" Rarity started to tear up realizing that the girls were beginning to grow up and she hugged them all but she hugged Sweetiebelle the most.
"I-I am so proud of you girls! now make me even more proud by doing just what you pledged to do!" she said excitingly.
All three yelled in unison. "YES MA'AM!" They grabbed the box of Clothes and rushed out the door to Sweet Apple Acres.
You are laying in bed drawing on your sketchpad the scene before you out your window of Applejack working out in the orchard. You let out a happy sigh as you watched her work.
"So beautiful." In the distance you see the CMC running up to the house and you are shocked to see them all banged up and dirty.
The CMC enters your bedroom and set the box down gently. Applebloom pushes the box over to you as the other two sit down and rest.
"Just as i promised Allen we brought your clothes here in tact." She wasn't lying. You opened the box and saw your clothes in perfect condition. You were even more shocked to see that the CMC had scrapes and bruises but your clothes weren't damaged at all and neither was the box.
"Girls why do you look so beat up? i would have imagined that the clothes would be at least damaged a little with how you are in pretty poor condition yourselves." They giggled a little and smiled.
"Well we ran into some trouble along the way but we didn't let anything happen to your clothes or box." You shake your head and smile and pull the girls into a hug.
"Girls i am very proud of you for showing such responsibility, but please next time try not get yourself hurt or anything it hurts me to see my three favorite fillies hurt like this" They smiled brightly and hugged you back.
"We promise!" they said in unison. You smiled and set them down on the floor.
"Good! Now run along and do some crusading just don't over do it alright?"
"We won't." they said again in unison as they smiled and ran off to do some crusading.
Later on in the day Applejack comes in to give you your second dose of medicine for the day.
"How are ya feelin' sugarcube?" She smiles as you take your medicine.
You smile at her with a grateful expression "A lot better Applejack its because you are doing such a great job in taking care of me" She blushes lightly as she smiles.
"Just doing my part in taking care of a friend." She smiles as sits down next to you.
"Yeah a friend." You thought. What she doesn't realize is you want to be more than friends. You have had a crush on her for a long time now, but after her saving your life and taking care of you, you realize you are in love with Applejack. Everyday you spend all your free time thinking about her and how wonderful and how beautiful she is. But then you think back to those words she used "a friend" you thought again. You begin to believe that she will see you as nothing more than a friend which tore you up inside. You lay down and roll over in an attempt to hide your tears and Applejack looks at you concerned.
"Allen? Are you alright?" You clear your throat to hide the pain you are feeling.
"Yeah i am fine just tired is all. I am going to get some sleep. I will see you tomorrow." Applejack sounded a little disappointed but she nodded in understanding.
"Well alright. Goodnight sugarcube." You tell her goodnight before she leaves. leaving you in the solitude of your room.
In the morning you decided you need some fresh air so you get up to go for a walk and you need somepony to talk to so make a trip to the Carousel Boutique. You were dressed in your new casual clothes which Applejack has yet to see. When you went out for a walk everyone was still asleep except Granny Smith. She didn't mind you going for a walk as long as you were careful, besides you can't get any better by staying cooped up in a house all day. You wanted to leave this early so you can get sometime by yourself it was nice being around Applejack and all, but you can't help but feel that the pony you love most might never see you as anything but a friend.
When you get to the Boutique you notice the sign says CLOSED. You think about leaving thinking Rarity might not be home or still asleep until you heard hooves walking around inside. You knock on the door to the Boutique and you hear Rarity's voice behind the door before she opens it.
"Cant you read?! the sign says close-OH Allen! i am terribly sorry i didn't know it was you at the door please do come in." She gives an apologetic smile before letting you inside.
You give her a reassuring smile showing its OK. "It's alright Rarity, but i figured you would be open by now."
"Well i normally would be but since i don't have any big orders to fill i thought i might take the day off and relax, and speaking of relaxing how are you feeling? has your fever gone down at all?" She gives me a concerned look.
"I take it you heard it from A.J,?" You look at her curiously.
"Why yes i did she was so worried about you and as was i in fact we all were darling. So what brings you over here?" She gestures you to sit down.
"Well actually Rarity i need someone to talk to i have been feeling down since last night" You sit down but you decided to stare at the floor to hide the pain in your eyes.
"Why whatever is the matter Darling? What's got you so upset? Wait! did Applejack reject your feelings?!" She watches you curiously waiting for a response.
"Well actually that's the thing i haven't told her yet. i tried to impress her like we promised and i did it by-" Rarity cut you off by finishing your sentence.
"By over-working yourself?" You give a simple nod to answer her question.
"A week ago i showed her how appreciative i was for her taking care of me by giving her best hug i ever gave to her or anyone else i practically held her but last night she said something that just broke my heart into a thousand pieces she said "just doing my part in taking care of a friend." Tears start streaming from your eyes as you try not to look at Rarity.
"Oh darling i am so sorry but maybe she does like you but she probably thinks you don't like her back have you ever thought of that?" The tears stop as you look at her in surprise and confusion.
"I never really thought of that, but how can you be so sure Rarity?" You look at her waiting for an answer.
"Well to be honest darling i am not but the only way you will know is if you confess and ask her if she feels the same." You sit there and start to think.
"Your right." She nods happy knowing she got her point across.
"Of course i am darling. Now if you will excuse me i am supposed to meet Fluttershy at the spa. We do this once every week." You wave goodbye to Rarity as you are leaving Carousel Boutique and you start to think to yourself.
You return to Sweet Apple Acres and you go and lock yourself in your room not wanting to be disturbed for the day as you sit there and contemplate on one thought. Could Apple jack really have feelings for you? You sit there and ponder and ponder thinking of every scenario where she might have shown signs of affections. A couple pop into your mind but there is no way to verify from these two specific thoughts alone if she has a crush on you or not. Little did you know that little miss element of honesty was having the same problems sitting in the kitchen talking to Big Mac and Applebloom.
"I just don't know what to do you two. I like him a lot but i just don't how i can tell him. IF i can tell him." Applejack plays with her mane contemplating just as much as you are not sure what to do. Big Mac looks at Applejack trying to give her some good advice.
"Look Applejack you can't keep going on like this you have to tell him sooner or later or it will eat you up inside." Applebloom nods in agreement.
"Big Mac is right Applejack and he has experience to prove it. If he didn't confess to Miss Cheerilee they would have never gotten together isn't that right Big Mac?" Big Mac nodded in conformation.
"Eeyup" Applejack just rolls her eyes at Applebloom's comment.
"I really don't need advice from you Applebloom no offense but you're still a little too young to even be dealing in these sort of matters Big Mac on the other hand isn't." Applebloom looks at Applejack with a stern look.
"Even so i am just looking out for my big sister and i am sure he likes you Applejack i even think Big Mac would agree with me on that one." Big Mac nods once again.
"Eeyup" Granny Smith walks in and jumps into the conversation.
"Big Mac and Applebloom are right Applejack he probably does have feelings for you, but you have to go ask him yourself but you need to do it in a more private moment and when there is less tension between you two. As a matter a fact why is there tension between you two? What exactly happened?" Applejack shook her head.
"I don't rightly know granny he has just been like this for the last couple of days." Granny Smith look at her confused.
"Well what happened a couple days ago?" Applejack explain what happened that lead up to when you started acting distant to her.
"Aha! I really think he does like you because it sounds like when you told him *Just doing my part in taking care of a friend.* he started acting all moody!" Applejack looked at her shocked and confused.
"But how do you know for sure that was the reason granny? After all he did say he was tired and i didn't see or hear him up all day after that." Granny Smith scratched her chin.
"Hmm, well i don't rightly know Applejack but only way you will know is if you confront him about it. It's obvious he cares about you." Applebloom and Big Mac nod in agreement with her.
"i know granny but what IF he doesn't like me like that and what IF i ruin our friendship i couldn't handle that." Tears start to flow freely from Applejack's eyes "I don't want to lose him granny i just can't."
Granny Smith walks over and hugs Applejack and she returns the hug. "Applejack if he really cares about you then even if he didn't feel the same way about you he wouldn't stop being your friend because he really cares about you but it's up to you to find out just how much." Applejack nodded in conformation.
"I know granny your right but how am i going set up the right place and time to tell him?" Applebloom leaps excitedly.
"I know! A picnic under the gazebo! It will be perfect! And its on Sweet Apple Acres, plus isn't that where you found him? Near the gazebo by the orchard?" Applejack nodded to confirm "And you can also take him around the time you first found him you know to make it show that you have appreciated him since the moment you met him!"
Granny Smith Nodded in agreement "I think Applebloom's got the right idea." Applejack shook her head
"But i have late evening chores around that time how are we-" Granny Smith puts her hoof over her mouth to interrupt her.
"Oh horse feathers! I am sure Applebloom can take care of those for you during the day" Applebloom nods
"Me, Sweetiebelle, And Scootaloo can all do it for you Applejack it could also help us earn our cutie marks along with you possibly getting a very special somepony." Applebloom giggles as Applejack blushes.
"Are you sure you can handle that kind of responsibility? I know that ever since Allen came here he has helped you become more responsible, but this a big job, and its not easy especially for three little fillies." Granny Smith rolls her eyes.
"Applejack you need to stop babying Applebloom and give her room to grow i think she and the other two can handle it just fine! And Big Mac can always help if needed to right Big Mac?" Big Mac nods.
"Eeyup" Applejack sighs in defeat honestly she wanted nothing more than to tell Allen how she felt about him and she also knew Applebloom's idea under the gazebo was the best option.
"Alright just promise me you and the girls will be careful." Applebloom smiles and hugs her sister and Applejack returns the hug.
"I promise we will be careful Applejack." and Applebloom runs to get the crusaders.
You lay in your bed with that same question nagging at your mind. Does Apple jack really have feelings for you? That's you finally decide to make a decision.
"That's it! I can't take this anymore! Tomorrow i am going to tell her how i feel i just need to figure out when and where? Hmm maybe a picnic under the gazebo? around the first time i met Applejack that sounds pretty good and romantic i am sure she will like the idea i just can't let her know it's a date yet not until after i confess." After making your decision you decide to get some rest hoping that everything will go just as planned tomorrow.
It's early in the morning and the crowing of the roosters wakes you from your sleep with a new passionate flame burning. Today is the day. Today you are going to confess your love to the beautiful, honest, and humble Applejack. You start your morning with a shower. You even get a hair cut and shave to make yourself look more presentable. You are now feeling at 100% and you are about to start your chores, but Big Mac tells you he will do them for you for the next few days. You ask why and he says it's a thank you for you doing his chores for him many times before so he could go spend time with Cheerilee. It's a reasonable excuse but something tells you that there is something strange going on. Since you have no chores to do you go out to run some errands and get one more pep talk from Rarity to help boost your confidence. When you get to Carousel Boutique, however Rarity says that she is unable to see you at the moment and to come back later. Something strange is definitely going on here. Rarity has never told you she was to busy for you especially when it was important. Nonetheless, since you are unable to see Rarity at the moment you go take care of the errands that needs to be done. After you finished all of the errands you go see Rarity one last time hoping she isn't too busy to see you now. Sure enough she wasn't she lets you inside the Boutique with a warm smile.
"Thanks again for seeing me Rarity, though i am wondering why you was too busy to see me earlier? You have never been too busy to help me with something before." She giggled as she shook her head.
"Terribly sorry darling but i cannot say its a personal matter you do understand don't you?" You nod in understanding and smile.
"Of course Rarity i was just concerned and confused is all." She giggles again and asks you to sit do and you do so.
"My what a gentlecolt or gentleman in your case, but any mare would be lucky to have you." She winks at you continues to giggle. You couldn't tell if she was flirting with you or trying to boost your confidence you assume its the ladder since Rarity hasn't shown any interest in you before "So what brings you here today Allen?" You clear your throat.
"Well i thought long and hard about what you said to me yesterday and i have decided that today i am going to confess my feelings to Applejack." She squeals in excitement as you blush.
"Oh what wonderful news! So how do you plan to do it?" You explain to Rarity about your idea of a picnic, its location, the time and the reason for the location and the time. "Oh darling that sounds very romantic its as i said before any mare would be lucky to have you Allen you don't find a lot of romantic gentlecolts these days." You blush even more rubbing the back of your head.
"So you like the idea Rarity?" She nods as she smiles.
"Of course darling and what better way for you to confess your love then the first place you met at the specific time you met them. It shows her that you have cared for her and appreciated her since day one. Applejack truly is lucky i just hope she doesn't break your heart." You put your hand to your heart and smile as you blush.
"You know Rarity i am not afraid of that anymore. My heart tells me that i am doing the right thing, so i know i am not going to get my heart broken. Somehow somewhere deep in my heart i know she loves me as i love her." She smiles and hugs you and you return the hug.
"Go get her Allen!" You smile as you look back standing in the doorway and you wave before leaving.
"You got it Rares."
As you are walking home you bump into Applejack and she is carrying a box, which she quickly hides it in her side bags, but you didn't notice because you were too busy locking eyes with her for the first time in a while. You couldn't help but blush from staring into those beautiful emerald eyes of hers.
"H-Hey Applejack." Applejack stares into your eyes and blushes.
"H-Hi Allen what are you up to?" You rub the back of your head trying to hide the fact that you are nervous.
"O-Oh nothing really i just got finished running some errands for Granny Smith. Actually i was also looking for you." Applejack's face begins to become as red as a tomato.
"Y-You were looking for me? Why?" You continue to stare into each others eyes as you begin to explain.
"Well a couple reasons actually. For one to apologize for locking myself in my room and avoiding you. I have had a lot of things on my mind and i just needed some time to myself." You could see the pain in her eyes when you said those words but she did her best to hide them behind a smile.
"I-It's alright sugarcube. I understand i was just-" You put your hand to her muzzle to stop her from talking.
"No Applejack it isn't alright. I can see now that i hurt you and i am very sorry for that and i was hoping to make it up to you with maybe a picnic under the gazebo around 6:30 tonight?" Her eyes shoot open and you both blush brightly as she nods.
"D-Do you want me to wear something nice?" You blush even further at her question.
Y-Yeah that would be nice and i will dress decently too." Now her face gets even redder.
"S-So i will see you tonight Allen?" You nod as you both start to head to your own rooms to get ready.
I-I will be cooking for us tonight Applejack as i said i want to make this up to you." She nods as she enters her room and closes her door.
You go downstairs and you start to prepare dinner and after you have made the food for the picnic and pack up the food you go and take a quick shower and change into your formal attire. When you leave the bathroom you see a note on the door from Applejack it reads.
Dear Allen, I will meet you at the gazebo i want a race to see who gets there first and i don't want either of us to see each other in our fancy outfits until the picnic i will see you soon sugarcube. From, Applejack. P.S. please don't be late.
Its 6:00 pm from what your watch says so you gather the food and you start walking in that direction. You and Applejack arrive at the gazebo at the same time with Rarity accompanying Applejack. You and Applejack lock eyes for what seems like an eternity but it was only for a minute and you blush so hard you could tell that both of you are blushing and Rarity lets out a giggle.
"Oh hello Allen! Don't worry i wont be joining you this evening i was just helping applejack into her new dress. What do you think? How does she look?" Your mouth drops in awe at the sight. You have never seen a mare so beautiful your entire life. She is in a long and simple yet elegant bright blue dress it would be the kind of dress you would see the girls in your world wear at a high school prom.
"Y-You look beautiful Applejack." My words caused her to blush harder than she ever has before and she responded with your attire.
"A-And you look quite handsome Allen." And that caused you to blush just as hard as she was before as Rarity giggles.
"Well now that both of you are here i will take my leave. Have fun you two!" She said in a sing-song voice
You set up the picnic and you pulled out a bottle of Apple cider and offered her a glass. She smiled and accepted and both you and Applejack enjoyed a nice meal. Not many words were said for a while you just sat there and enjoyed each others company for a while but after a long while Applejack decided to break the silence.
"I-It's a beautiful night tonight isn't it?" She blushes you can tell she is obviously nervous and she obviously has something on her mind.
"Y-Yes it is. So um, whats on your mind A.J.? i can tell that you have something on your mind so what is it?" She starts to fidget getting even more nervous.
"Well i uh,...." She stops dead cold too nervous to say what she wants to say. This time you break the silence.
"Well while your thinking of what you want to say i need to tell you something i have been meaning to get this off of my chest and i feel like now is the time." There was silence once again but only for a few moments. "A-Applejack I-I-I have a crush on you!" Her jaw dropped she was in shock had she heard right? did you just say you had a crush on her? She only had one reaction for the moment.
"W-What?!" Your heart broke into a million pieces. But you didn't let it stop you from expressing your feelings.
"Yes it's as i said i have a crush on you. I have for the longest time. I just didn't mention it before because i was afraid what you would think. Honestly i am not surprised by your reaction. I am a human after all as much as i wanted this to work all i did was make things worse. Maybe i should just go." As you got up to start to leave Applejack stopped you and she pulled you into her hooves and you felt something you never thought you would feel. Her lips pressed against yours. You were in pure bliss and the kiss seemed to last for hours but it lasted 5 minutes. after she broke the kiss she looked lovingly into your eyes and confessed her feelings.
"Allen I-I was so afraid that you would reject my feelings that you wouldn't feel the same way and that you would leave me forever if i told you how i really felt." Tears started pouring from her eyes from both pain and happiness. "I am so stupid i almost lost the most precious thing in my life all because i was too afraid to be honest with you-" you stopped her from finishing her sentence again but this time instead of using your hand you stopped her from talking by connecting your lips with her. She wrapped her hooves around your neck and you wrapped your arms around her waist pulling each other into a tighter embrace deepening the kiss. When the kiss broke you looked lovingly in her eyes and stroked her cheek softly before speaking to her in a loving tone.
"Please don't call the mare i am in love with stupid. it doesn't suit you. Applejack you are a very smart, strong, honest, humble and the most beautiful mare in all of Equestria." More tears pour from her eyes but this time they were all tears of joy.
"R-Really? Do you really mean that and you are really in love with me?" You smiled as you kissed her tears and wiped them away as you hold her tightly.
"I meant every word of it from the bottom of my heart Applejack" You both share another passionate loving kiss as you held each other and lay under the gazebo all night sleeping in each others loving embrace. You lived in Equestria for a year and a half and you experience the magic of friendship through Rarity and her friends, but you experienced more magic on that day. The magic of love and you found it in a place where you know you will be happy for many more years to come.
