The good Sombra and the good Celestia are separated by their worlds, but what if they founded a new world together?

Celestia meets with the alternate Sombra who reveals to her the alternate (evil) Celestia's bargain to let the two of them be at peace if they revealed the secret to getting to their world. Celestia does not know what to choose and meets with her fellow princesses to formulate a plan.

I have not read the entire IDW comic arch that this relates to, but I will try my best.

I have loved what I have read of the comic arc so far.

The chapters are short, yes, but I will be having a large amount of them (hopefully), I have a large arc planned out.

I hope you enjoy my first FimFiction story.

"Sombra."

The king spun around in disbelief to face his beautiful princess. Her eyes were filled with love and sadness as she gazed upon him. He smiled and replied in a chipper tone, happy to finally be with her once again.

"Celestia."

The princess of the sun gazed at her smiling love and smiled back for him. She knew their relationship could fade, or their worlds could be separated, or the mirror could shatter, but to her all that did not matter, for she was with him again.

The two spent their time together in the forest, making certain to not get caught due to the alternate Celestia being a bigger threat than ever. Sombra spoke of the trade the alternate offered, and while Celestia would have not considered it before, Twilight was now a princess with the elements, and Luna was just as powerful, if not more powerful, than Celestia herself. Sombra held her close and told her not to make a decision to rashly, and Celestia agreed. The two talked about nonsense things, with Sombra revealing advancements in Science and Technology, while Celestia spoke of the elements of harmony and discovering more about the magic of friendship-Sombra always got a chuckle out of that- with Sombra revealing that the magic of friendship was a storybook fascination in his own world modernly. Celestia laughed with him, before having to depart. She left him with a kiss before teleporting to the mirror and activating it.

On the other side of the mirror was Luna, who had been panicking for hours over her sister disappearing. Celestia revealed about the portal and decided to explain fully to all three of her fellow princess. Once they gathered she began to explain the situation in the parell world.

"Sister, You mean to tell us you are actually considering this?" Luna gasped out once Celestia finished her tale.

"Yes." Celestia replied numb to her sister's shock.

"Princess, What if the elements don't stop them when they get over here?" Twilight replied, needing to know incase her mentor choose the option of romance over her country.

"Then the three alicorn magics should be able to cast them away." Celestia replied warmly, glad somepony was a little bit accepting.

"Aunt Celestia, Isn't this a little bit irrational?" Cadence replied cautiously.

"Cadence, you are the princess of love, are you not? Can you not sense what I feel right now?" Celestia asked emotionally, feeling the adrenaline of expressing her love flow through her veins.

Cadence replied cautiously, "Celestia, I'd need to cast a mind spell to be certain and-"

"Then cast it" Celestia replied, cutting Cadence off.

"What?" Cadence replied, shocked.

"I told you. Cast the spell." Celestia stated confidently.

"Al-alright. I'll do it."

A few moments of casting and traversing Celestia's mind later....

"She was not lying. This is true love. If she does not go to him, it will be impossible to get this back." Cadence told the others once back in her own head.

"Sister, I think you should not go, Equestria needs you." Luna cautioned staring into her sister's eyes revealing her worry to the one pony who would, hopefully, understand.

"Luna, Sombra needs her as well." Cadence replied from across the meeting table. Leading to Luna gaping in shock before replying desperately with,

"We need her here more. Twilight, you agree with me right?"

Twilight was numb to the situation. She was in shock at her mentor's affections, but everypony deserved to have someone in their lives. "Umm..."

"See? She agrees with me! Go to him Celestia." Cadence replied happily.

"No, 'Um' is not a negative or positive. She is still undecided!" Luna imputed, desperately trying to win over her sister.

"Twilight, please back me up here." Cadence stated, shocked by Luna's desperation.

"I think..." Twilight started of unsure of her words.

"Yes?" the Two princesses thought while leaning on the edge of their chairs.

"...that it is Princess Celestia's decision." Twilight finished, feeling confident in her decision to let another pony decide.

"COME ON!" The two shouted in offense.

"Thank you Twilight." Celestia whispered to her prized, former, student.

"No problem Princess." Twilight responded quickly, enjoying the show of the other two princesses arguing over such a decision that was truly only one pony's decision.

"Go Celestia Go!" Cadence cheered attempting to pin Luna to the ground.

"NO! The ponies need her!" Luna shouted while teleporting to the side of Cadence.

"Twilight, do you think we should leave them argue this out?" Celestia asked, turning her head to Twilight and proceeding to walk out of the meeting hall.

"I believe that that is a good idea, Princess." Twilight stated, following her mentor, slamming the door behind her, leaving the two inside to settle their brawl.

"LUNA YOU'RE MESSING UP MY MANE!"

"YOU SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF THAT BEFORE YOU TACKLED ME TO THE FLOOR!"

"YOU SHOULDN'T INTERFERE IN MATTERS OF THE HEART!"

"IT IS A POLITICAL EXCHANGE! I KNOW MORE ABOUT THOSE THAN YOU DO!"

"I RULE AN EMPIRE!"

"SO DO I!"

"With your SISTER!"

"YOU DO THE SAME WITH SHINING ARMOR!"

"THAT'S TOTALLY DIFFERENT!"

"NOT REALLY!"

"Princess?"

"Princess?"

"Princess!"

"Oh. I'm sorry Twilight. You were saying?"

Twilight sighed. This had happened everytime she tried to strike up a conversation with the princess. She would drift off into a daydream and not pay Twilight any attention. Twilight contemplated the offer that Celestia had received, along with Luna and Cadence's respective reactions, and placed her judgement logically.

"I think you should go with Sombra after creating a protection on Equestria."

"What do you mean by protection?"

"A large scale spell similar to the protection bubble my brother used on the changelings, so that if the evil versions of you and Luna should enter..."

"They would get knocked out of Equestria." Celestia let this sink in a moment then became giddy with excitement. "You are brilliant Twilight. Thank you for this idea."

"I'm happy to help Princess, just make sure that you visit, alright?" Twilight asked, a little bit worried about the possibility of never seeing her mentor again.

"Of course Twilight. I would never leave you all behind forever." This reassured Twilight, and made Celestia all the more confident of living a life with Sombra. Perhaps her sister would also agree to Twilight's plan? "Twilight, would you please go fetch Luna and Cadence for me? I can explain the plan here once they arrive, and I can research the protection spell while you are convincing them to come here."

Twilight nodded a little bit worried by Celestia's behavior, then proceeded to run off to get Cadence and Luna.

"Now, to get to work."

Celestia began summoning all her spellbooks searching for the specific spell that had protected Canterlot not all that long ago. She found it after around ten minutes of searching through books and decided bring Shining Armor in, being the only one to have mastered the spell in 300 years. She had Philomenia fly off and deliver a letter to him requesting his presence when her fellow princesses appeared at the door.

Of Princesses and Perspectives

When Twilight returned to Celestia with Cadence and Luna, she was shocked by what she saw. Celestia was completely surround by books of all sizes, ages, and genera's. Celestia herself was nose dived into a magic book, absorbing every-word. Celestia, quite frankly, looked like Twilight when she was researching something of interest, and it shocked Twilight. "Princess?" Twilight asked, stepping closer to Celestia, who did not respond to Twilight's actions.

Luna, on the other hoof, was un-surprised. She knew that Celestia acted this way when she was touched deeply by a topic, and that she would remain this way until the issue was solved. Understanding this, she was not shocked when her sister was unresponsive to Twilight. She approached behind Twilight and held a hoof on her shoulder, forcing Twilight behind her. Once Twilight was successfully behind herself she did the one thing she knew would wake Celestia from her studying state. Luna levitated a bucket over to the bathroom sink, filling it with water. She then tapped Celestia's back and splashed the water down onto her sister's head.

Cadence was not surprised by Luna's actions, having to do the same thing herself when she was being researched by Celestia under how she could have been transported to the realm of alicornation. Twilight, however, appeared to be frozen in shock, so Cadence approached Twilight, and held her back from going to Celestia. Cadence whispered in Twilight's ear, "This is normal. Do not worry." Twilight nodded, seeming to understand.

Luna waited for her sister to yell at her or at least turn around angry, but neither of those things happened. Instead Celestia began laughing and turned around smiling, even tough her mane was dripping wet. Luna was shocked, but smiled at her sister. Luna was happy her sister was enjoying herself, even with the pressure of the situation upon her.

Celestia enjoyed her sister's surprise. Luna had not been that playful with her like that in a long time. She pulled Luna in for a hug; meanwhile, Celestia levitated the book along with her notes on the enlargement of the spell to Twilight. After a few moments, Celestia pulled out of the hug with Luna, and stated, "Within that book there are notes on enlarging the spell. They are not 100% yet, but they are a starting ground. We can always revise the spell. Shining Armor is on his way here because he is one of the only ponies in 300 years to master the spell. We can all meet again once he arrives. Cadence, will you meet him at the station?"

"Of course, Celestia." Cadence replied swiftly and rushed to the station, hoping to greet her husband right away.

"Luna, can you handle looking over the notes with Twilight? I need both of you to check my equations."

"Sister, why do you need both of us?" Luna replied, confused.

"I need both of you because everypony makes mistakes. What one of you might glance over could be a big mistake the other finds."

"That makes since. Of course we shall do it. Am I correct, Twilight?"

"Yes, Luna, you are."

"Then let us get to work, and leave my sister to rest." With that the two ponies exited the room, heading for the meeting room once again to have a stable place of communication. Celestia herself decided to take a nap, due to her research taking longer than she thought, and being more tiresome.
