The Cutie Mark.
Chapter One: The Main Character
Princess Rainbow bit her lip as she hesitated near the balcony. Should she do it? Maybe… Maybe not though. Mommy was sleeping though, and mommy said to never ever ever cast a big spell when she wasn’t around.
Oh, her momma was Princess Celestia, co-ruler of Equestria. It was really neat, because her mother was love by everyone and could raise the sun!
Princess Rainbowfire was a filly who was 8 years old, but already a complete expert in magic, even if she couldn’t cast big spells without permission. Of course she was an alicorn, already she had an unusually long horn, and large pretty wings that could make her go super fast! Oddly enough, she was completely black like Auntie Luna, (who taught her how to dreamwalk) but had a rainbowmane, and she had toxicly bright green eyes. Her blank flank was currently bare.
She looked at the moon and hummed to herself. “Well, momma and auntie can’t get too mad if I do their jobs for one day.” She finally said to herself, completely oblivious to her dad watching her, King Sombra.
King Sombra hid behind a pillar. He liked watching his daughter to make sure she was safe, even if she could easily take down the common intruder. He also wanted to teach her his awesome crystal magic soon.
Back to Rainbowfire, the little princess squinted her eyes in concentration. Holy cow, was that moon heavy! Her rainbow-colored magic forced the gigantic rock out of the sky with some effort. Now it was totally dark out without either orb in the air. So she called up the sun.
“Yay!” She yelled, jumping around in circles, her wings buzzing. “I did it!”
“And look at your flank!” Sombra boomed as he proudly ran up to his daughter.
Well, she had felt a tingling sensation on it. She looked at it as he hugged her, and let out another squeal of joy.
“OHmygosh,ohmygosh,ohmygosh!” She cried, happy.
On her once-bare flank she had a sun and moon on it. She was destined to raise and lower both!
She was so excited she broke from her dads grasp and flew all the way to Ponyville to tell the mane six. Her trail was a rainbow like Rainbow Dash’s, but hers was also on fire! Rainbow fire!
“Auntie Twiliiiight!” She called out for her mentor, the princess of friendship.
“Yes Rainbowfire?” Twilight asked lovingly.
“Look at my flank!” She squeaked, shoving her butt in her face.
“What an impressive cutiemark! Far superior to my own!” Twilight exclaimed. “You should go show the others!”
“You’re right!”
“But before you go, don’t forget to say hi to Spike.” Twilight reminded her.
“You’re right!” She exclaimed.
Princess Rainbow dash upstairs to see Spike. She gave her coltfriend a big happy kiss on the cheek.
“Wake up Spikey-poo.” She cooed. After she had helped him get over Rarity and see reason, he fell hard for her, and she for him. They were so the perfect pair.
He blinked his eyes open. “Aw, I cna’t even get mad at you for waking my up!” He said and hugged her.
She giggled. “I got my cutiemark! Also, do you want breakfast?”
“Yes please! And amazing, Rainbow-dear! Let me see it!” He totally wasn’t gonna look at her butt. “Wow, a sun and a moon? Nice!”
“Thanks!” She squeaked and summoned a large, perfectly ripe, fire ruby. His favorite, and it was a hard gem to get at perfect ripe and crispness.
She was off again, and this time she went to Fluttershy, who was cleaning up after hosting a party. See, when she meet Fluttershy, the pegasus had been sooo kind, but really shy! So she helped the pegasus become a social butterfly and get lots of friends, and become really bold!
“Fluttershy!” She called out. “Come look at my new cutiemark!”
“Oh, ok.” Fluttershy flew over and looked at it. “Wow, so amazing! It is a sun and moon, and pretty.”
“Thanks!” She said. “Here, let me get that mess for you.” Casting a complex spell, she gathered every single streamer, balloon, and even the crumbs and put them all into a trashcan, but first she had to cast a spell on that to make it large on the inside so it could fit everything!
“Thanks.” Fluttershy said.
She grinned. “welcome, anything else?”
“yes… The animals aren’t very happy, could you calm them down please?” Fluttershy always went to her if she couldn’t get an animal to calm down.
Rainbowfire walked into the house and saw it was nasty Angel Bunny acting up again. He had angered the mice again.
“Mister mices.” She called out softly in a musical voice. “Who wants to hear a song?”
They all squeaked, they always enjoyed her music.
One incredibly awesome song later, and everything was back to normal in Fluttershy’s home, all the animals were happy.
Next he went to show Pinkie Pie. She snuck upbehind the party pony.
“SUPRISEEEEEE!”
Pinkie screamed and fell forwards, but wasn’t hurt. “Ohmygosh, you just gave the best surprise everrrrr!” she sang out, “What can I do for my favorite pony?”
“One cupcake please, and I got my cutiemark!”
“Sun and a moon?” Pinkie whistled. “Color me impressed, actually, color me pink!” they both laughed and she ate the cupcake.
“Well, gotta run, Iwanna race Rainbowdash and show her my cutiemark.”
“Okie!” Giggle.
So she flew off and saw Rainbowdash stuggeling to clear a really big cloud.
Time to impress her, Rainbowfire though. She flew up there and hit the cloud, destroying it in one hit.
“Nice job!” Rainbow Dash congrats her. “Also, nice cutie makr.”
“Thanks.” She beamed. “Wanna race?”
“Always!”
Despite being 8, she was reallllly fast.
“Last one to Apple-jacks farm is a rotten egg!”
They were off, flying between the clouds and having lots of fun. Rainbowfire easily out flew rainbow dash, as she was the fastest mare in equestria too. Finally, she made it to the apple farm. 10 seconds flat.
Rainbow dash appeared a few minutes later. “Nice job, sport! Can’t wait to race you again!” She flew off.
“Howdy!” Applejack said. “Mind giving me a hoof here?” She asked, pointing to a large apple tree,
It was the hardest one to buck because it was the biggest. Not even Big Mac could get all the apples off of it. THere were too many apples, and the tree was too big to get a proper buck on it!
“Sure!” She grinned and bucked the tree.Apples showered them as she got them all down in one kick.
“Amazing!” Applejack hollered. “Also, while you were doing that, ah noticed you have a cutiemark! Amazing job!”
“Thanks!” She grinned. “Well, I need to show other ponies, byeeee!” She was off again.
She stopped in front of Rarity’s shop and entered it happily. “Rarity!” She called out. “I got my Cutiemark, and I need an awesome new look to help define me!”
“Coming, can’t wait to see it!” She called out.
Rarity stepped out and giggled. “Darling, I see you did your own makeup and hair again today. You are already perfect and I don’t think I can help you much more unless you want clothes. Also, mighty impressive cutiemark, a sun and moon. So pretty.”
“Thanks Rarity! And no, I don’t want clothes. But where is Sweetie?”
“Off with her friends near the park.”
“Thanks!” She was off flying.
She landed in the park and saw Sweetie Belle with Applejack and Scootaloo, but she also noticed two other fillies there. Curiously, she watched them.
It was Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.
“Blankflanks, blankflanks!” They said evilly. “You guys are such looooooosers! Never amounting to anything!”
She gasped, bullies! SHe knew what to do.
“Hey you two, stop it!” She called out and marched up to protect her friends.
“Or what?” Diamond sneered.
“Because bullying is wrong, and you two should be ashamed. My mommy says we all need to be friends and kindness is the key! But you two guys are being so mean, and that is wrong, do the right thing!”
Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon began to sniff, trying to hold back tears.
“You are so right!” Dt finally cried out. “We are like, really sorry! Will you forgive us and be our friends?”
Her face softened. “Of course, we can all be friends. Hug?” she held out her arms.
The two ex-bullies nodded, watery grins on their faces. They hugged the tiny alicorn.
Applebloom tapped her shoulder. “Thanks.” She whispered. “And nice cutiemark.”
“Thanks.”
After that they all had a day of fun, and she threw them a totally awesome party because she summoned a lot of awesome things with her alicorn powers, like soda and board games.
