“Mmmmm-MM! Thank you, sister. We...sorry, I am really grateful for those,” Luna said as she hugged her sister with one hoof while holding a set of socks in the other. They were made to resemble her mane and tail, and had even been enchanted to make the starry night motive move.
“You’re most welcome, Luna,” Celestia said and hugged her sister back. “Happy Hearth’s Warming Eve,” she added.
“Happy Hearth’s Warming Eve, dear sister,” Luna said.
“Oh, this is just so super-duper-sweet!” Pinkie said as she saw the two hugging princesses.
While Celestia and Luna would normally spend the holidays in Canterlot, Twilight had talked them into having it in Ponyville instead this year. Celestia had initially disliked the idea, as it would no doubt give some political waves among the nobility in Canterlot, but Twilight had argued that it would also help cement her and - especially - Luna’s position as rulers of all of Equestria. Celestia had finally given in when Luna had sided with Twilight, also adding that her friends were mostly in Ponyville, and Celestia had finally given in. Now she was glad she had.
Twilight had decided that all the room in her castle should be put to good use, and had invited all her friends and family, so there were quite a lot of ponies gathered around the dinner table and now around the pine tree and the presents.
Spike had at first been a little pale at having to cook for such a large group, but Pinkie, Granny Smith and Twilight Velvet had volunteered to help, so dinner had been ready in time, and Spike had managed to avoid being stressed.
Other ponies were exchanging gifts too. Granny Smith gave all her grandchildren new knitted hats and scarves, Fluttershy gave Twilight some feed for Owlicious...and so it went.

“Eggnog time!” Spike said as he and Velvet brought in two bowls of the sweet drink.
“The big one’s for the adults - the smaller is for the kids and others who don’t want it with alcohol,” Twilight Velvet said.
“Then Ah better stick to that one too - Ah’m drivin’,” Big Mac announced.
“Aw...why don’t you stay the night?” Twilight said. “There’s plenty of room.”
“Yeah, can’t we stay pleeeeeaaase?” Applebloom pleaded. She had hoped for a sleepover with Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo.
“Ah...Ah don’t know...Granny? AJ? Whatta y’all say?” Big Mac asked. He knew Granny Smith preferred her own bed.
“Ah don’t mind stayin’,” Applejack said. “Take the night off, Mac - y’all have earned it.”
“Awww...alright, then,” Granny croaked. “That’ll also save me from going out in that dreadful cold - my joints hurt in that freezing weather…”
“Looks like it’s settled, then,” Applejack said.
“Eeeeyup,” Big Mac agreed, and grabbed one of the spiked cups that Velvet was levitating out to everypony.

“Luna, it’s your fourth cup...maybe you should...ahem...try the other bowl?” Celestia suggested. She was a bit tipsy herself she had to admit, but she thought Luna had had enough when she had joined Pinkie dancing on the tables.
“Mmmm...maybe you’re right…” Luna said with a dreamy smile. “Actually...I think maybe it’s time for me to call it a night. Heh...and normally this is about lunch time for me,” she said and gestured to Twilight’s grandfather clock telling they’d passed midnight, an object which the purple alicorn had received from the diarchs for her last birthday.
“Want me to escort you to your room?” Celestia said, worried for her sister.
“Urh...yeah...I think that might be a good idea…” Luna agreed.
“Excuse us, please. I think I’ll also be turning in,” Celestia said and the two rulers of Equestria left the party.
“Thank you for a wonderful evening Twilight,” Celestia said and gave her former student a hug.
“You’re wel-woah!” Twilight said but was interrupted by a fierce hug from the other princess.
“Yes thank you Twilight!” Luna said and gave Twilight a peck on the cheek before releasing her.
Twilight’s cheeks heated, and she brought a hoof to her cheek where she’d been kissed as she looked at the two departing alicorns.
What was that all about? Twilight thought, but was interrupted by Pinkie grabbing her hoof yelling “Twister-tiiiiiime!”
The game had been brought out earlier for the Crusaders, but now that they’d fallen asleep (and Rarity and Twilight had levitated the sleeping trio to their bedroom with the toys they still clutched in their sleep), and now that the adults had had enough to drink, the Elements (Twilight initially excluded) had started playing together with Shining Armor and Cadence.

Celestia had brought Luna to her room, and were about to head for her own, when Luna spoke.
“Oh, before you go...I’d like to try on my new socks - would you see if they suit me?” Luna asked.
“Urh...I suppose…” Celestia said.
Luna levitated the socks on, and posed for Celestia. “So...how do I look?”
Celestia nodded. “I think you look pretty, Luna. Very pretty,” she said.
Luna walked up to Celestia. “Ohhhh...so you think I look preeeettyyyy…” Luna teased and pranced close by Celestia.
“I...urh…” Celestia said and felt her cheeks heat.
Luna walked up to the speechless alicorn. “Mmmmwwwwahh” Luna said as she kissed Celestia on the mouth, giggling as she pulled back.
“L-Luna…” Celestia said in shock, “I-I don’t think we should…”
“Your wings say otherwiiiiise,” Luna teased and pointed at her sister with a hoof.
Celestia turned and saw her wings had risen on their own accord and turned even redder.
“So...did you liiiike it? ♪♫ I kissed a mare, and I liked iiiit...♪♫” Luna sang teasingly.
Celestia couldn’t help but laugh at Luna’s antics. And she had to admit, that Luna did look quite cute in those socks… She shook her head. No! It was her own sister for pony’s sake! She couldn’t…
Celestia was interrupted but Luna kissing her again.
This time she kissed her back.
“Oh, Luna, we <kiss> really shouldn’t be <kiss> doing this...ponies will <kiss> talk…” Celestia said.
“I know <kiss>, but then maybe <kiss> this should be our <kiss> little <kiss> mmmm….royal secret?” Luna answered. Her wings too, stood up proudly now.
They paused to look each other in the eyes.
“Do you really want this?” Celestia asked.
Luna looked back, her eyes suddenly clear of the mists of alcohol and very serious. “Yes, Tia, really want this. This is not just the eggnog talking. It might’ve given me courage, but this is really me. This is what I want. I love you, Tia.”
“I love you too, Luna. I’ve always loved you...though this...urh...kind of love for you is new to me. But I want this too…”
No more was said between them as their lips met again. First in a series of gentle kisses, then they turned more and more passionate.
Luna slowly moved backwards, pulling Celestia with her until they reached Luna’s bed.
Celestia gently pushed her sister down upon the bed, while still kissing her.
She trailed kisses down Luna’s neck, up her right foreleg and down her left, licking each hoof as she passed it. She then continued her kissing down Luna’s chest which rose and fell rapidly with Luna’s quick breathing. She then reached her teats, and made sure to suckle on each like a foal would, eliciting moans from the dark alicorn.
“Oh...Tia...oh...mmm...ahh…take me...oh take me now please,” Luna moaned.
Celestia didn’t answer but after a few more licks to the now hard nipples, she obliged and continued her trail of kisses until she reached Luna’s marehood. She started out by licking its entire length.
“Oooohh…” Luna gasped.
Celesita smiled. “One moment,” she said and her horn lit up.
“Huuh? What now...come baaack,” Luna said dreamily.
Celestia’s horn flashed with magic. “There! Soundproofing spell.”
“Oh...hehe...right…” Luna said turning red.
Celestia just smiled and resumed her interrupted tongue-work. She stuck her tongue as far inside Luna as she could, wiggling it around while making sure her muzzle would grind against Luna’s swollen nub.
“Ohhh...Tiiiiaaaaa...” Luna sighed.
Celestia then added some gentle teat massage with her hooves, and Luna soon cried out again.
“OH CELESTIA! OH YESSSS! OH CELESTIA I’M...AARRRGHHHH!” Luna screamed out, Celestia’s ears ringing from Luna’s use of her Royal Canterlot Voice in the relatively small room as her maw was filled with the Mistress of the Moon’s fluids…
Celestia then moved up to kiss Luna again. Luna stuck her tongue into the white alicorn’s mouth, and pushed her around so they could swap places.
“Mmmm...my turn!” Luna declared. Celestia only smiled and leaned back in anticipation.
Luna started out like her sister had with kisses on her lover’s neck and forelegs, but instead proceeded to first lick her white horn, making Celestia sigh deeply with pleasure. Luna then proceeded to give Celestia’s wings a very personal and thorough preening.
“Oh...ah….oooooh….aaaarrrrhhh….” Celestia moaned.
Luna snickered. “And I haven’t even gotten to the good part yet!”
“Mmm...I know...but it just feels so good…” Celestia said dreamily, looking up at the blue alicorn next to her.
“I’m glad to hear that...now...where were we...oh! I know!” Luna said, and dipped her head to “attack” Celestia’s two white mammaries with both mouth and hooves. She massaged them with her front hooves while simultaneously suckling on each teat like Celestia had done to her before. Celestia started moaning again which felt like sweet music to Luna, gently accompanied by the smell of the Mistress of the Sun’s arousal only a few centimeters from Luna’s muzzle.
After some time she scooted further down, planting her muzzle against Celestia’s white and pink opening. She made a few nips at Celestia’s nether lips, making her mewl in pleasure, and then she stuck her tongue inside the alabaster folds, making Celestia moan deeply. The two co-rulers of Equestria finally lay together in Luna’s bed. Celestia had levitated the blanket over them, while Luna had retrieved the pillows which had been scattered over the floor during their wild lovemaking.
They now held each other gently, giving each other a gentle kiss and then just lay there, looking into each others’ eyes and smiled.
“Mmm...thank you for the socks...I think they fit me quite well…” Luna said with a lazy smile.
“My pleasure, my love,” Celestia smiled back.
“Mine too!” Luna snickered.

That night the two sisters fell asleep in each other’s embrace, both content and feeling that they’d gotten the best Hearth’s Warming Eve present.
