Under the Willow tree
"Eeeaaaahhhh" Sapphire groaned as she stretched her body after just waking up, she looked up into the night sky "it's still night?...my body clock must be messed up", she looked around and saw Theran, Violet and Summer all sleeping in their sleeping bags, Theran had decided for them all to sleep the night after walking a long way on their journey.
"Psst, Summer....waake uup" Sapphire whispered trying to get Summer's attention and wake her..but she was sound asleep.
"uhhg" Sapphire moaned, she then rolled her eyes and walked over to where Summer was sleeping, she then blew on her neck, Summer had a very sensitive neck so she knew this would wake her.
"mmmmmnnn.....eeeeep, what the he-Sapphire what are you doing, I was having a dream about...something, Summer's face went red with embarrassment for some reason and Sapphire raised an eye brow, she was about to ask her why her face went a little red, when Summer interrupted her.
"Why did you wake me, it's still dark and I'm tired, what is it what you want.
"Wellll i just woke up myself and I don't think I'll be able to get back to sleep, sooo I woke you so I'm not lonely." Sapphire explained.
"Oh how nice of you" Summer muttered
"Soo....." Sapphire said in a monotone voice
"Soo what?" Summer asked
"Oh! let’s go for a walk, what do ya say?" Sapphire said with excitement.
Summer jumped a little at Sapphire's excitement as she was still half asleep "Uhh do we have t--Summer got interrupted by Sapphire grabbing her hoof and practically dragging her, Summer only just managed to get to her feet before she was dragged "what the, I didn't even give you an answer.....she looked down noticing she wasn't dressed, "Sapphire!! We don't have any clothes on!!!"
"So? I don't think there's anyone else in this forest, so we should be fine"
"But what if Theran and Violet wakes up to find us not there, I'm sure they'll be worried" Summer exclaimed
"Summer...Theran sleeps with one eye open, I'm sure he knows we've gone for a walk, and if he doesn't, I'm sure his doggy nose will be able to find us, tehe" Sapphire laughed
Summer giggled at the remark.
They finally stopped running and came to a willow tree
"Wow that tree...it's a willow tree isn't it, it's beautiful" Sapphire said looking in awe
"yea, it really is something" Summer agreed
"hey wanna sit under it?" Sapphire asked Summer
Summer blushed a little, she always thought that couples normally sit under willow trees for a romantic setting, but she shrugged it off, she thought to herself, "I mean come on, me and Sapphire are best friends nothing more, I mean I don't think she thinks of me that way... I mean Sapphire's great and all, she has beautiful hair.. and nice strawberry red eyes.. she's always kind to me, I'm always happy around her", Summer blushed way more, "wait...I think..I like"--- "Hey!, Summer earth to Summer, anyone in there" Sapphire interrupted her train of thought.
"Oh uh yea aha I’m"--- sapphire interrupted her again
"Hey, you getting a fever, your cheeks are bright red" Sapphire placed a hoof on her head
“Oh it’s nothing don’t worry, I’m fine trust me aha” Summer tried to play it off, she didn’t want sapphire knowing what she was thinking in fear of her thinking she’s weird or something.
“Ah good… sooo?” Sapphire stared at Summer waiting for an answer
“Oh aha yea sure” Summer answered while scratching the back of her head, she started walking towards the Willow tree and Sapphire followed behind.
Summer got to the tree first and then sat down with her back resting against the tree, Summer patted the ground next to her indicating her to sit down, Sapphire smiled and walked forward to the spot Summer patted “eeeeep” Sapphire screamed, she had tripped on a root, she fell down with a crash, her head landing on Summer’s lap, “oww that hurt” Sapphire turned her head looking up, and what she saw was Summer’s blushed face looking down at her, Sapphire gasped, she then got up and sat next to her, “ Um I’m sorry.. did I hurt you at all?” She said while looking at her hoof’s in-between her legs twiddling them
“Um, I’m fine, you shouldn’t be worried about me, you’re the one who tripped, are you okay” Summer said looking worried
“Yea, yea I’m fine, I’ve been through worse….aha this is noth—oww” Sapphire groaned in pain while holding her elbow, she had scraped it while tripping
“See you’re not fine, you shouldn’t go around acting like nothing hurts you silly” Summer booped Sapphire’s nose and giggled, “It’s not that bad, so you should be okay” Summer reassured Sapphire
Sapphire scrunched her nose, “I don’t do around acting like that!”
Summer looked at her and raised an eye brow, “really?” Summer asked
“……Okay maybe I do…sometimes” Sapphire giggled and so did Summer
After a while of talking Summer yawned, “aah I’m tried” she said while rubbing her eyes
“really? I’m wide awa”—Sapphire Yawned as well, “Aha well I guess I’m a little tir.. huh” Sapphire felt something on her shoulder, she looked to her side and found that Summer had fallen asleep leaning against her, Sapphire smiled “well I guess you weren’t lying aha”
Sapphire blushed “I love you Summer, and this is the only way I can tell you without choking up or fearing you’ll find me weird” She kissed Summer on her head and said “goodnight”
Sapphire rested her head against Summers and fell asleep.
The next morning:
CLANK!
Theran had smashed his and Violets swords together making a loud metallic noise that made Sapphire and Summer jump out of their fur.
“Morning lazy shits, it’s time to get up, get dressed and get moving, we’ve got another big day today we cany wait for ye any longer……. hm why are ye both looking at me like that?”
