Pinkie Pie is having strange dreams. Despite this, she still prepares for Princess Twilight's birthday party. Little does she know of the horror that unravels...
Pinkie Pie is having strange dreams. They show the falling of Equestria and even some things she wouldn't even expect (Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash in a relationship? What?). Despite this, she shrugs them off and still prepares for Princess Twilight's birthday party. More and more of the dots start to connect, and at the party, something happens which will change the course of Equestrian history forever...
‘What do you mean, we’re the remaining elements, Equestria has fallen, so we must do it!’
‘But what about Fluttersh-’
‘Forget about her, I loved her, but now she’s gone, just like the rest of them!’
Rainbow Dash started crying, teardrops fell onto Pinkies hooves. Canterlot was crumbling beneath their feet. Pinkie had to make her choice, before it was too late.

Pinkie woke up crying, this was the 3rd time this week she had had that nightmare. She couldn’t scream, as she knew that if she did, the Cakes, the couple who’ve allowed her to stay at their home, would wake up and kick her out. Instead she walked to the bathroom.
Pinkie looked into the mirror, she looked a mess. Her hair was straight and flat, which she didn’t like whatsoever. The bags under her hair were prominent as well, her eyes themselves being very bloodshot. Pinkie stared quietly into her reflection for a solid 5 or 10 minutes. She needed a drink, so she trotted quietly into the kitchen.
There were a large assortment of cakes and pastries, ready to be sold to hungry customers in a few hours when Sugar Cube Corner opens. Pinkie made herself a glass of milk, which she chugged down. Her hair frizzed and shot up into a mess like it usually is, she was happy once more.
Pinkie laughed at her milk moustache, and then wiped her mouth with her hoof. Sitting at one of the tables, she began to recollect her thoughts about the dream. What did it mean? She started whispering to herself. ‘Wait; are Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy in a relationship? That can’t be true. I know they’re close and all, but not THAT close.’
‘Also, what was up with all of that destruction and stuff, somepony mustn’t be happy at all, they must’ve gotten so angry that they destroyed EVERYTHING. Maybe one of my cupcakes can solve this! Actually, nah, last time I gave Rainbow one of my cupcakes it didn’t go down too well.’
Pinkie got up and moved silently back to bed. As she did, however, she saw the sun creep over the horizon. The day was about to begin. She remembered that she had to plan a party, a pretty big one, too.
It was Twilight’s birthday in just under a month. All the princesses would be there. All of her friends as well, Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. She needed to impress everypony there. It had to be as big as the Canterlot wedding, if not bigger!
She ordered streamers, balloons, candy, and asked Mr and Mrs Cake to create a giant birthday cake for the party. Everything was falling perfectly into place. It made Pinkie explode with excitement just at the thought of it!
She just needed a few things from her friends. Zap Apple Jam from Applejack, the drapes she ordered from Rarity, conformation of an air performance from Rainbow Dash, and lastly the animal choir from Fluttershy.
‘Hmmm, I might as well go and collect this stuff now so then I don’t forget about it.’ Pinkie agreed with herself.
So she grabbed her bag and started the walk to Sweet Apple Acres.

It was a relatively mild day in Ponyville, the perfect weather for some good old fashioned applebucking. Applejack was trotting at a relatively moderate pace, the wind flowing through her mane. She carted an empty wagon behind her. Apple Bloom scampered behind her, feeling rather motivated to buck some of the ripe fruit with her big sister.
It was the time that the zap apples had arrived in Sweet Apple Acres once more, so the Apple family were retrieving the apples quickly to turn it into jam. Applejack had been asked by Granny Smith to buck the east side of the orchard, whilst Big Macintosh the west side.
It had been a relatively successful morning, having bucked almost all the trees on the east side in roughly 5 hours. The girls were both were tired, but knew that there were only a couple hundred trees left to buck.
‘C’mon, sugar cube, not too far now.’ Applejack hollered to Apple Bloom, who was dragging behind.
‘Sorry Applejack, I was just getting tired.’ Apple Bloom runs up to her, panting in the process.
‘At this rate, you won’t have enough energy to help me buck the apples.’ Applejack teased.
At long last, the two of them were on top of a large hill on the outskirts of Sweet Apple Acres. Apple Bloom was stunned to see all of Ponyville from this height. She stared in awe and saw everything, princess Twilight’s castle, sugar cube corner, the town hall. It was an incredible experience to the filly.
Applejack caught her attention and told her to wait and catch the Apples that were to fall from the trees. Apple Bloom did as she was told to, and in just about an hour, all the trees were cleared except for two.
‘Hey sis, how’s about you try and buck one of these trees here.’ Applejack offered.
‘REALLY,’ Apple Bloom gave a delighted squeal whilst dancing around in circles. ‘I would love too, who knows, I could get my cutie mark in apple bucking!’
‘I’ll show you how it’s done.’ Applejack went step by step on how to buck an apple tree. From where to hit the tree, to what distance to hit it at, to even where to place the baskets for the fruit to fall right into place. Finally, she told Apple Bloom the technique when it came to kicking the tree itself.
‘Ya just gotta kick it like this, so then you don’t strain yourself.’ Applejack tucked her legs up into her body and shot out like a spring, all the apples fell into the surrounding baskets. Apple Bloom was impressed and was willing to give it a shot. Even if she failed she knew that they had at least TWICE the amount of zap apples they had last year, so a single tree wouldn’t ruin too much.
Apple Bloom kicked the tree, and surely enough, the fruit fell. One, however, conveniently landed on her head. She winced in pain. Applejack comforted her sister, giving a little chuckle all the while. ‘You did well, partner.’
Applejack got up to see Pinkie Pie, who she was startled by.
‘Oh, sorry Applejack, can I just ask you something?’
‘Sure, what is it?’ Applejack started heaving the cart, filled to the brim with zap apples.
‘Could I make a special order of zap apple jam for the super-secret-amazing-twilight-party?’ Pinkie was so quiet, that Applejack could barely hear her.
‘Of course,’ Applejack confirmed ‘how many jars ya needin?’
‘Uh, I would say about 50.’
’50?! Why in Celestia's name would you need that much?’
‘It’s the filling for her giant birthday cake; it would definitely add a little more spice to the flavour.’
‘Alrighty then.’ Applejack agreed.
Pinkie, Applejack and Apple Bloom walked back to the barnhouse. Granny Smith said that the order would take about a week. Pinkie accepted and paid the amount of bits due. She galloped off in glee.
‘Okee dokee lokee. Next stop, Fluttershy’s.’ Pinkie told herself as she walked up to the front of Fluttershy’s cottage.
‘Oh hi, Pinkie Pie,’ Fluttershy spoke softly to the Earth Pony as she bounced into her house. ‘Are you here to check on the birds?’
‘Indeedy I am!’ Pinkie replied in an excited fashion.
Fluttershy brought Pinkie outside, to where she was greeted by a flock of at least 30 birds, all different breeds, perched on a large tree.
‘Ok, just like we practiced.’ Fluttershy told the birds. To which, after a 4 beat count-in, they sang a beautiful melody. Pinkie was very impressed. She frolicked around and got into the song quite greatly.
After the birds finished the song, Pinkie gave a thunderous round of applause, which scared off the birds.
‘Oh, sorry Fluttershy, I didn’t mean to scare them.’ Pinkie apologised.
‘It’s quite alright, they’ll be back in a few hours,’ Fluttershy replied. ‘Would you like a drink or something to eat?’
‘Of course I would!’
Fluttershy walked back into the cottage, where she brought some water and a sandwich for both her and Pinkie, they ate in silence.
‘Oh yeah, I almost forgot,’ Pinkie Pie realised. ‘This may be a bit weird of me to ask, but have you been close to Rainbow Dash recently?’
‘Not more than we usually have,’ Fluttershy muttered. ‘Why do you ask?’
‘Well, basically, I’ve been having these CRAZY dreams lately. It involved the fall of Equestria and yadda yadda…’
‘Wait, what?!’
‘Lemme finish! And basically in my dream Rainbow Dash talked about how you and she were IN LOVE! I was like “WOAH!” and she was like “YEAH I AM!”’
‘Oh… well, I wouldn’t really say that…’
‘Fluttershy, I know you’re lying. Just spill the beans already.’ Pinkie had a grin from ear to ear at this point.
‘Gah, fine, me and Rainbow Dash… we’ve sorta been dating ever since we gave up the elements of harmony. You promise not to tell anybody?’
‘Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye! Well I’m proud of you two, why didn’t you tell anybody though?’
‘I don’t know really, it’s just been something private, I guess.’
‘Don’t you think it’s something worth telling everybody? It’s something worth a party in my books!’
A knock is heard. ‘Coming!’ Fluttershy flapped her wings and floated over to the door. Rainbow Dash was stood in the doorway, inspecting herself in a hand mirror held in her hoof. Fluttershy opened it and dread shot through her.
Rainbow can’t know that Pinkie Pie knows the secret!
Fluttershy blocked Rainbow from entering by embracing her. ‘You seem… welcoming today.’ Rainbow responded.
‘Oh, sorry, it’s just felt like a while since I’ve seen you.’ Fluttershy said, still hugging her.
‘We saw each other yesterday, don’t you remember?’ ‘Oh yeah, I forgot. Heheheh…’ Fluttershy zipped into the garden and whistled. Suddenly, a horde of rabbits, dogs, cats, and the like stampeded towards Pinkie. They picked her up and huddled away from Fluttershy’s home.
‘See you at the party!’ Pinkie yelled.
‘You too,’ Fluttershy looked at her hooves. ‘I’m such a meanie for pushing Pinkie out like that. But Rainbow Dash can’t know…’
The day had finally arrived for Twilight’s birthday party. Spike had agreed to take her for a look around the new Ponyville library, he knew it was going to be painful as Twilight would want every book there, but he went through with it so then Pinkie Pie could set up her ‘Super-amazing-awesome-craaaaazy birthday blast.’
Everyone was helping out with making the throne room look spectacular. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy hung the banners from the ceiling. Applejack laid out the selections of food (that were probably made by her). Rarity helped with where the decorations were going in the room itself alongside Pinkie.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders also got dragged into helping out the ponies. They organised and put up the party games in a slightly clumsy fashion, but they did it nonetheless.
Finally, the preparations were complete, Pinkie jumped for joy when she saw the magnificent display.
‘Ok, everypony hide! Twilight should be coming any minute now!’ She screamed.
And everypony did as they were told, they all ran and flew to different places in the room. Conveniently enough, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy where hid in the same position, with no one else around. They hid under one of the banisters.
‘Are you ok, Shy?’ Rainbow asked the innocent mare.
‘Of course I am sweetheart, why wouldn’t I be?’ Fluttershy replied.
‘I dunno, for the past few weeks you’ve been acting a little strange, like you’re hiding something from me.’
‘Fine… Pinkie knows about us, but she Pinkie promised.’
‘Well, that pony does take things pretty seriously when it comes to Pinkie promises.’
‘Are you mad at me?’ Fluttershy braced herself for a serious yelling.
‘Of course not,’ Rainbow said with relief. ‘I’m glad you told someone, I couldn’t really hold it in for much longer myself.’
They both chuckled silently and gave each other a quick kiss. As soon as they did, Twilight opened the door and turned on the light.
‘SURPRISE!’ A roar echoed through the halls of the castle. This startled Twilight, but she was really ecstatic that her friends put this all together.
‘Hey Twilight, happy birthday!’ Pinkie squealed as she jumped behind one of the thrones, wearing birthday hat.
‘Wow, Pinkie, I wasn’t expecting this!’ Twilight was bewildered at the beautiful decorations.
‘What wouldn’t I do for my favourite princess in the whole wide world?’ Pinkie then looked at Celestia, Luna and Cadence, all 3 seemed to be a bit annoyed at the previous statement. She looked back at Twilight.
‘Can you not get your Alicorn buddies to beat me up?’ She said with a slight stutter to her voice.
Twilight sighed with a smile. ‘You have my word.’ They hugged.

‘WOW PINKIE! THIS PARTY IS A BLAST!’ Rainbow yelled at Pinkie, the sound of dubstep ringing in their ears.
‘THANKS!’ pinkie replyed. Everypony was up on the dancefloor as DJ-P0N3 was blasting out tracks at an ear shattering level. Pinkie went to the bathroom, as soon as she walked out however, her whole body twitched.
‘Oh no! There’s a doozy coming!’
As soon as Pinkie said this, a rumbling was felt beneath her feet. It was barely felt; it seemed that nopony else noticed. Pinkie did, however. The rumbling grew. One by one, the collections of ponies started to realise what was going on.
The rumbling started to turn violent. Screams were heard from every direction as cracks started to appear in Twilight Sparkle’s walls, the rush and panic separate all of the elements of harmony from each other.
‘MY LOVE!’ Rainbow Dash blurted out across the room to Fluttershy, whom was on the brink of crying at this point.
‘Your what now?!’ Applejack replied in a concerned manner.
‘It’s a long story, but I can’t really discuss it right now because WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!’
‘Oh yeah, ha ha. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!’
There was an enormous split in the castle floor, a few of the weaker ponies fell in and perished, but besides this, Rainbow Dash charged forward, she had to get to Fluttershy and comfort her.
The crack in the floor now was about a few inches across, and a violet light radiated from it. Rainbow took a leap across, and she landed it with a bit of a slip (as the ground was still rumbling). She galloped aggressively through the sea of ponies, it was a strain.
There she was, squashed between 2 ponies that were screaming down her ears, Fluttershy sat in a state of panic. Rainbow pounced onto her and they hugged for a few short seconds.
Rainbow felt a patch of blood on Fluttershy, she mostly ignored it, but when she applied pressure, Fluttershy winced in pain.
Then they heard Twilight shout:
‘HEY! AS QUITE CUTE AS THAT MAY SEEM, WE NEED TO ALL COLLECT OVER ON THIS SIDE!!’
It’s seems she’s brought Rarity, Applejack and Pinkie Pie to one big huddle.
The two of them stood up, Rainbow clutching onto Fluttershy with her right wing, they slowly started walking to the edge.

‘C’mon Sweetie Belle, you’ve got to jump!’ Scootaloo bellowed to the bewildered Sweetie Belle, shaking on the other side of the crack, now almost a metre in width.
‘I can’t, it’s too far!’ She cried.
‘Please, you’ve got to! Everypony else is coming onto this side too!’ Apple Bloom joined in.
‘There’s no chance, I’ll fall down there!’ Sweetie started hyperventilating.
Meanwhile, Twilight was getting worried; Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy wouldn’t be able to make it in time.
‘Pinkie, go and help getting Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy over here.’ Twilight told Pinkie
‘You got it, Princess!’ Pinkie replied, jumping over the gap in a flash, Sweetie Belle watching in awe.
‘If Pinkie Pie can do it, surely you can!’ Scootaloo was getting annoyed, why wouldn’t Sweetie jump?
Suddenly, the rumbling intensified, then, out of nowhere, the two sides started to part further and further at lightning quick speeds. It only took about a minute before they were a good kilometre away from each other.
Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Sweetie Belle were trapped on one side of the gorge, with another Pegasus that was relatively new to Ponyville.
‘Don’t worry guys, I’m coming!’ He declared, taking off and flying over the valley. He started to struggle as he got to around the halfway point, because something was tugging at the Pegasus. Nothing physical, but he was getting dragged down by something. His body gave in as it elongated and was sucked into the ground.
As the remains of the pony completely vanished, Pinkie looked over the edge of the cliff. There was some kind of black hole, covered with a mostly violet hue, but with a reminiscent of all the colours of the rainbow in there too. It was morbidly beautiful.
Pinkie finally had the time to observe what was around her. The sky itself seemed to have split alongside the ground, leaving a never-ending spiral turning in the clouds. The sun and the moon also seem to have split onto each side; unfortunately the side that Pinkie was on was the night time side. The moon surprisingly enough looked beautiful amidst all of the madness.
‘It seems to me that we’re on the east side of Equestria, I learnt about it in school.’ Sweetie Belle piped up, her voice was rather shaky in tone, so Pinkie went to comfort her.
‘Hey, hey, what’s the matter?’ She asked in a rhetorical manner
‘I won’t be able to see Apple Bloom or Scootaloo anymore, will I? They’re on the other side of the valley.’ Sweetie replied, tears in her eyes.
‘Us four,’ Pinkie looked at Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, who were (not surprisingly) snuggling. ‘will get to the other side of whatever the heck that is and reunite our friends!’
‘Really?!’
‘Would I lie to you?’
The two of them hugged, it was now Pinkie’s mission to reunite all of the elements of harmony and stop this travesty.
A coughing sound was heard underneath the rubble. Rainbow Dash inspected the area. There was a pony trapped underneath a giant stone slab.
Rainbow, with all of her strength, pushed away the slab. Princess Luna was lay there, injured, but still conscious.
‘Woah, Princess, you alright?’ Rainbow asked.
Luna stumbled to her feet and spoke a little slower than her already slow speech. ‘Yes, I am fine, a little wounded, but fine nonetheless.’
Fluttershy sounded rather concerned. ‘Are you sure? You don’t look too good…’
Pinkie butted in ‘Listen, gang, it seems that the 5 of us have been isolated from the rest of Equestria, so we must reunite ourselves with the rest of Ponyvile and stop this crazy mess once and for all!’
‘I second that,’ Rainbow agreed. ‘but how in Celestia’s name are we supposed to do that? The valley, you know, sucks up anypony that tries to cross it.’
‘Well,’ Luna piped up ‘this doesn’t seem to be any kind of magic I know, not even dark magic. It must be beyond the power of any great wizard. I’d suggest going to the Canterlot archives and finding anything that resembles this split that has occurred.’
‘Don’t you want to come with us, Princess?’ Sweetie Belle asked politely.
‘I would love to, but I should tend to any injured ponies in the area. However, I can think of someone to go in my place…’
Discord was having a lovely, hot, shower (no not in that way, you creepy bugger) at the time of the Great Divide. Humming a familiar tune, he seemed like there wasn’t a care in the world, the former lord of chaos.
The shower water seemed to have cut off, which, believe it or not, made him annoyed.
‘What is the meaning to all of this?’
Then he heard the ground grumble horrifically, THAT didn’t sound good…
Discord’s first instinct was to run to Twilight’s Castle, and so he did. With his lizard/ horse feet kicking into motion, he ran quickly and took flight; he left the shower which he had created to remain in the beautiful meadow of which he was disturbing.
He saw the split in the ground, he saw Twilight’s Castle divide into two as he made the approach towards it. He landed on the roof and attempted to use some of his dark magic to reunite the 2 halves, however, this seemed to accelerate the process (I guess it goes to show if you specialise in dark magic.) He sat on the edge of Twilight’s Castle as the moon rose.
He observed the multitudes of ponies being swallowed whole by the deadly vortex. What had caused this travesty?
Discord suddenly hears a voice from not too far below, he recognises Princess Luna’s tone and looks down.
‘Discord, come down here at once!’ She demanded.
Doing as he was told, he floated down to the rocky plains upon which Luna stood. He was greeted by Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Sweetie Belle and his best friend Fluttershy, whom was shaken up and was cowering behind Rainbow.
‘I can tell you’re all enthralled to see me…’ Discord sarcastically stated.
‘Discord,’ Luna gave the look of death to him. ‘This is no time for any wisecracks.’
‘Ok, I’m sorry. What is it that you’ve brought me here for, chop chop.’
‘This party of ponies are going to the Canterlot archives to discover a way to stop this cursed land. Since none of them are experienced magic users I need you to assist them in their journey.’
‘What about pipsqueak over there?’ Discord pointed to Sweetie Belle.
‘I’m not very good at magic, I can move brooms and stuff, but that’s about it.’ She uttered.
‘Ah, well, I will happily go along with you then.’ Discord was surprisingly convinced to go.
‘Right, if you find something at all I will be working in the town hall. Please try to hurry; I don’t want to live in this new world any more than you lot do…’

‘So… what are we calling this group again?’ Pinkie asked whilst the team started their trek.
‘This matters because?’ Rainbow Dash grunted.
‘Once they plant our names in the books of history we need to have a cool name that the little fillies in history class can remember!’ Pinkie seemed far too excited over the events that happened just under an hour ago.
‘The Angel bunnies!’ Fluttershy blurted out.
‘Babe, no offense, but that’s not really that cool. I’d say about 20% cooler.’ Rainbow stated.
‘It’s been a while since you’ve used that phrase, hasn’t it.’ Fluttershy grinned.
‘Well, not really, I don’t think…’ Rainbow was lost for words.
‘OOH! I HAVE ONE!’ Sweetie Belle bounced into the air and shouted.
‘Go on then.’ Fluttershy was all ears.
‘THE MAGIC DIVIDE CRUSADERS!’ Sweetie Belle ran in circles around the party.
‘That sounds far too similar to the group that you’re already in, Sweetie.’ Rainbow shrugged off the idea.
‘I’d probably suggest something like…’ Discord also brought himself into the conversation.
‘The Saviours!’ He announced.
Everypony loved the idea of the name, since they are trying to save Equestria from destruction, it makes perfect sense.
The group walked through the ravaged Ponyville. The town was barely standing, as the earthquake practically brought all the buildings to the ground. The only ones surviving were the town hall (well half of it anyway) and sugar cube corner. As Pinkie noticed her home was still standing, she halted the group.
‘I know I may sound really stupid, but can we get cupcakes?’ Pinkie asked whilst pointing at Sugar Cube Corner.
‘Pinkie, remember the last time you gave me a cupcake? I’d much rather not have one.’ Rainbow Dash felt a turning feeling in her stomach just thinking about it.
‘Oh no, this time will be different! We need food for survival, and Sugar Cube Corner seems to have lots of food still there!’
‘I’ve got to agree with Pinkie,’ Sweetie Belle walked up to the ecstatic pony. ‘I sure am hungry!’
Fluttershy and Discord also agreed on the proposition. So they all make their way to Sugar Cube Corner. Rainbow dragged behind, saying words that kids really shouldn’t hear.
Pinkie cooked up several batches of sweet, delicious cupcakes. The Saviours all wolfed down the dessert, all except Rainbow Dash, who drank some milk straight from the carton.
Fluttershy offered her a cupcake, but she declined.
‘Please, sweetie, you need to eat.’ Fluttershy begged.
‘I do, but I don’t think some silly little dessert will do the trick.’ Rainbow groaned in an agitated manner.
‘Why are you being angry at me…?’ Fluttershy was starting to get worried. She also started feeling a little lightheaded.
‘I’m just… I’m sorry, Shy. I love you, I’m just a bit annoyed at the fact that all of us could be with Twilight, Applejack and Rarity, instead of going on a life-threatening quest for something that might not even exist!’ Rainbow hit her head on the table.
‘Rainbow, please… I ju… you need… oh my….’ Fluttershy collapsed in a heap on the floor, blood leaking out of her side.
Panic filled the room, everypony was running all over the building. Rainbow dash inspected the unconscious body.
‘SHIT! I DIDN’T KNOW THE BLEEDING WAS THIS BAD!’ she too fell into a state of panic.
Rainbow galloped into the kitchen, grabbed a long strain of cloths, and wrapped them around Fluttershy’s body, halting the deadly bleeding. She then carried her onto a nearby sofa, where she placed her down and kissed her on the cheek.
‘Listen, we’re going to have to stay in here for a while until Fluttershy regains her health. It could be a couple of days by the looks of things.’ Rainbow Dash announced.
‘Is she going to be ok?’ Discord asked in a concerned manner.
Rainbow thought for a few seconds before answering. ‘I hope so.’
‘Rainbow, would you like a cupcake?’ Pinkie asked, holding a cupcake in her hoof.
‘I’ll pass. Pinkie, are you not concerned at all for Fluttershy?’
‘Of course, cupcakes help ease the pain.’
‘That’s it Pinkie. You’ve got to realise that our lives could be changing for the worse. Leave if you’re not going to take this seriously!’
Pinkie stood there, jaw dropped and cupcake mush in her mouth. ‘imm suwurf wermbuw.’
Suddenly she realised what has happened, the world falling around them, Rainbow Dash in love with Fluttershy…
The dreams that Pinkie was having were coming true.
‘Oh my Celestia!’ She realised, half eaten cupcake falling out of her mouth.
‘What now!?’ Rainbow Dash grunted.
‘Fluttershy is going to die!’ Pinkie was genuinely upset at this realisation, and tears welled up in her eye sockets.
‘Pinkie,’ Rainbow was utterly shocked at the words she had just uttered ‘how could you say that?’
‘But Dash, it was in my dreams… we were in Canterlot and you talked about her being dead and…’
‘PINKIE! LEAVE! I DON’T WANT YOU HERE!’ Dash also appeared to have tears in her eyes.
Pinkies hair collapsed and fell straight down, covering her right eye, a trademark of Pinkie in a depressed state. She walked slowly out of the front door, with Rainbow Dash, Sweetie Belle and Discord giving the look of death to her as she shut the door.
Pinkie looked up, she saw a silhouette in the distance, barely visible by all the fog and dust.
‘H-hello? Anypony there?’ Pinkie Pie asked.
She trotted up to the pony, but there was something off about it. It seemed to be a male alicorn of about average height.
‘Oh, you’re just another of those weird “OC’s” or whatever the kids are calling you these days. I’m sorry for bothering you!’ Pinkie chirped up.
Pinkie took a second glance, the pupils were whited out, and there was no cutie mark to be seen, or even any mane or tail for that matter.
‘Ok, you’re kinda creeping me out right now, so I’m just gonna leave…’ Pinkie took a 180 degree turn and started to head back to Sugar Cube Corner.
The creature let out a blood-curdling scream before launching a giant blast of magic at Pinkie, knocking her to the ground. Pinkie turned back around to see about 10 more of these stange beings.
‘RAINBOW DASH, DISCORD, SWEETIE BELLE!!’ Pinkie Pie was feeling faint, but she had to alert her friends before those monsters attacked. They were closing in on her, fast. Pinkie slammed on the door rapidly.
‘Go away, Pinkie, we don’t want you here right now!’ Sweetie Belle screamed through the keyhole.
‘There are monsters out here, we need to escape and get to shelter!’ Pinkie was on the verge of having a mental breakdown.
Dash opened the door; you could see the tear stains in her fur. Pinkie simply brushed the hair out of her eyes and pointed directly at the pale white Alicorns. Dash’s eyes widened and called Discord over. She too pointed at the army. The 3 of them jumped into a blockade at the front.
‘Protect Fluttershy and the Filly at all costs.’ Discord ordered.
‘And the cupcakes!!’ Pinkie yelled.
‘Shut up, Pinkie.’ Rainbow said in a monotonous voice. Finally the group of deathly flying ponies had arrived, they didn’t receive a warm welcome.
Rainbow Dash flew up, grabbed one directly at the horn, and flung it straight down, its bones breaking at it hit the floor. Dash also performed a combination of punches, double-legged kicks (Applejack style, as she liked to call them), and head-butts to clear out any Alicorns that had still taken flight. All of them were grounded in just under a minute. One of the Alicorns attacked with its horn. Rainbow dodged it, but it still managed to scrape her eye, creating a deep cut on the eye-lid. She swept the Alicorn off its feet and stomped on its face, killing it in the process.
Discord trapped one of the Alicorns by teleporting in several directions around it, making it rather confused. He then clawed at it with his Eagle talons and finally flung it into a crowd of about 4 or 5 Alicorns, creating a bowling strike sound effect as it made impact. (What else did you expect from Discord?)
Pinkie was not really experienced when it came to self-defence. So she just did what was right. She pulled her party cannon out of nowhere and fired in multiple directions. She knocked back a large handful of the Alicorns backwards, causing many to run away or just pass out from exhaustion. One of the monsters shot a fireball right at Pinkie, she ducked, but the flames still caught her back, she yelped in pain.
Rainbow pinned the fire launching beast to the floor and interrogated it.
‘Who are you, and who are you working for?’ She demanded.
‘We are the purifiers,’ the bright white pony said. ‘Our mission is to destroy any reckless or dangerous ponies and live in a purified world!’
‘Who are you working for?’ Rainbow repeated.
‘We do not know who our leader is!’
‘How do you not know?’
‘We are working for an anonymous boss.’
‘Just let him go, Rainbow Dash.’ Discord told the blue pony.
Rainbow Dash pushed the purifier to the ground. It scampered off towards the rest of the pack. The day had been won by the Saviours.
‘GUYS,’ Sweetie Belle ran though the doorway. ‘Fluttershy is waking up!’
Fluttershy took a painkiller, which helped to numb the awful pain in her side, and washed it down with a strawberry milkshake made by Pinkie Pie herself.
‘I’m so glad you’re alive!’ Dash was hugging and kissing Fluttershy at every opportunity she had.
‘I’m glad that you saved me,’ Fluttershy responded. ‘Thanks for the milkshake, Pinkie.’
‘Oh, it was the least I could do after all the sleeping and jelly coming out of your side business.’ Pinkie took a smile, her hair still floppy and straight.
‘Speaking of injuries, look at you, Pinkie,’ Fluttershy got up and inspected the Earth Pony’s back. ‘Those burns look really painful.’
Fluttershy was correct. Pinkie was trying her best not to scream in pain. Her fur was burnt off in patches from the bottom of her neck to just above her cutie mark, leaving red raw, leathery skin patches.
‘You too, sweetheart, your eye needs stitching up.’ Fluttershy looked at the cut on Rainbow’s right eye, it was pulsating with blood. She kept her eye closed to stop any of the blood from blinding her.
So Fluttershy spent about 2 hours tending to her girlfriend. She found a first aid kit, pulled out a needle and thread, and slowly stitched up Dash’s eyelid. It was a risky task, but she did it nonetheless.
Pinkie was next, Fluttershy found some burn cream. Although the cream was only for 1st degree burns, and Pinkie’s burns were at least 2nd degree, Fluttershy believed they would do some work at least.
Finally, the 5 of them settled down for bed. Pinkie slept on one of the sofas whilst Sweetie Belle slept on another. Dash, Fluttershy and Discord slept in some kind of clump in the middle of the room.
‘Something is still griping at me…’ Rainbow mumbled after about 5 minutes of eerie silence.
‘What is it, Rainbow Dash?’ Discord seemed to be the only one awake.
‘What that “Purifier” guy said. Who are those ponies working for?’
‘Well let’s see,’ Pinkie woke up for some random reason. ‘Discord is with us AND he’s reformed. Nightmare moon wouldn’t make sense because Luna is not in her Nightmare moon form. Chysalis is still rebuilding her Changling army, King Sombra is dead, and Tirek is sorta banished.’
‘Well then it must be a new enemy. We’ve got to stop them before all of Equestria perishes!’ Dash was a little louder than expected saying that last sentence, she woke up the rest of the group. She cowered and apologised.
‘Well… um… if we’re going to go to the Canterlot archives to get this spell, we should really go through the Equestrian valleys, you know, by the Everfree forest. If you want to…’ Fluttershy was rather quiet and decisive with her words.
‘That’s a pretty good plan, you know,’ Discord grinned ‘but it could be a bit risky.’
‘We’re the Saviours, did you see how you wiped the floor with those weird ponies, we can do anything!’ Sweetie Belle was a lot happier than she was earlier that day.
‘I like how motivated you are, Sweetie!’ Rainbow had an adrenaline rush just thinking about it. ‘It’s settled. We’re going through the Equestrian valleys!’
Pinkie woke up; the sky was still dark, however. She checked the time, yep, it was 8 o’clock. She was still hoping it was one of the weird dreams she was used to having, it was not.
Rainbow Dash yawned and stretched, and she kissed the still sleeping Fluttershy on the forehead, and walked over to Pinkie. She noticed how Pinkie’s hair was still straight and lank.
‘You alright?’ Rainbow was obviously concerned for the Earth pony.
‘No, not really,’ Pinkie sighed and looked at her friend. Both of them realised the deadly their injuries still were. ‘I have that feeling that I don’t want to be in this corrupted world for much longer.’
‘Well, neither do I,’ Rainbow looked at her girlfriend. ‘I was gonna propose to Fluttershy during Twilight’s birthday, you know? Guess I didn’t get the chance.’ She shrugged and sat down.
‘Listen, I’m glad that you two are together.’ Pinkie placed a hoof on her shoulder. ‘The two of you are adorable.’
‘Heh, thanks. Listen, we’ll have to pack food for this journey.’
‘We survived G3, Dash, we can survive anything.’
The two of them laughed, which woke the other ponies and Discord. Fluttershy looked up groggily and walked over to Rainbow. They kissed and hugged each other.
‘Listen, I want all 5 of us ready to depart in an hour.’
‘Ok, Rainbow Dash!’ Sweetie ran all around Sugar Cube Corner, grabbing several supplies and throwing them into a pile on the floor.
Discord poofed into an explorers outfit, and gave a thumbs up with his Lion paw.
Fluttershy gave a look that meant that she didn’t know what to do. So she just dug her muzzle into Rainbow Dash’s fur and made a squee.
‘Heheh, babe, I love you.’ Rainbow was happy to see Fluttershy get this close to her.
Pinkie was, whilst rather romanticised by the whole situation, decided it would be best to leave the two lovebirds alone.
She looked in her bedroom. She was shocked to find a sleeping Gummy curled up onto her bed. She danced around in circles, picked up the baby crocodile, and lay him discreetly into her satchel-bag.
‘Awww, Gummy, did you miss me?’ Pinkie asked in a whispery tone, to which the pet did not reply to.
So finally, all of the Ponies had satchel-bags on their backs. Pinkie had to have some kind of sponge covering on her strap to prevent them digging into the burnt flesh. All 4 of the bags seemed to contain some kind of food, water, equipment and sleeping essentials.
‘To the Equestrian valleys, away!’ Discord praised triumphantly as the Saviours departed from Sugar Cube Corner.
