Before being defeated by the sisters, Discord found the Gift of fire, a powerful artifact rumored to give life. The legend was true, Discord created the Children of Fire, a new pony race totally worshiping him, sadly the only thing he could do before being defeated, was hide his Colts anfd Fillies until the day they are needed.
1002 years passed since the creation of the Children of Fire, they are told to live underground, without knowing the sunlight or the other comforts of the surface. Fire Ashes the son of a fireworks creator met some special ponies, with them he is going to fight the dictatorship of the Flame Family and free all the Children of Fire, not efore seeing the surface by himselft.

Chapter One
It was a calm afternoon at Fluttershy's Cottage, just one thing was out of the “ordinary”, Discord was walking in random directions scratching his chin with his right arm and his head with his tail, is like he was trying to remember something.
“THATS IT!” Shouted Discord scaring some of Fluttershy´s friends.
“ehhh… umm… Discord?, what happened?”
“*chuckle* Aww yes dear Fluttershy, remember the incident with the seeds of chaos?”
“Yes”
“I just remembered another thing from that time”
“oh no… you planted more seeds?!. what are we going to do now without the elements?!”
“Is not that, just someponies that i created to be my own subjects in my reign of chaos… I wonder, where are they now?”

Meanwhile somewhere deep Underground
“Its time for the 1002nd anniversary of our existence everypony, don't forget to praise Discord!” The proud mayor said officially opening the Fire Festival.
Little fillies and colts playing on the parks, young couples walking around, the merchants selling their stuff, everypony was enjoying the festival, well except one of them, Fire Ashes the son of a humble merchant.
These ponies call themselves “Children of Fire”, 1002 years ago, Discord the God of chaos got his hands in a peculiar artifact, the gift of fire, its rumored to have the power to create life, Discord wanted to use its magic to make sure that his influence will be even if he is defeated by the sisters. The first families of the children of fire were “The Coal”, “The Ember” and “The Flame”, they were banished underground to make an empire of their own.
The Coal family worked with the fire seeds that Discord gave them to grow their own food, The Ember Family worked mining the terrain and building the city and The Flame family used the food and the materials that the other families wasted to make goods on improvised factories.
The children of fire have the physical appearance of an earth pony, the difference between these ponies and the Equestrian ponies are simple, children of fire doesn't have cutie marks and they are able to use basic magic without horns.
In memory of the moment that Discord gave life to the first 3 families of the children of fire they built a statue of blazing fire on the middle of the city with the following words “A soul is fire, it burns inside the body to make it stronger, the children of fire, born from the ashes of an empire”.
This statue is a common meeting place for either young and old couples, Fire Ashes is a descendant of the Coal family, that means he is on the lowest rank of the Children of fire society, his only friend is his Bat pet, named shadow.
He was wandering around the festival, he liked to see the different colors of the orbs that illuminated the street, his father was occupied with the fireworks that the mayor requested.
'Son, you need to relax a little go to the festival' Fire remembered the words of his father, lately his father wanted to have a grandson to help with the shop and persuaded (forced) Fire to date the daughters of the friends of the family, every date ended up with a bored mare.
Fire looked at his little pet, patting the head of Shadow he felt like somepony was staring at him, he didn't mind it.
“Shadow here boy” The bat flew and posted himself on the head of Fire, the duo went to the famous statue, the mayor was there waving his hoof to anypony who passes near him 'Nice work mayor, getting votes like a boss', Fire hated the mayor, every time they see each other the mayor stare at him like he was infected or something.
“I Tell You The Outside World Exist!”
'Another mad pony' since he was a little colt, some crazy ponies wander the street shouting the same stories of the outside world, insanity for sure, since they born, the children of fire learned to fear the ceiling of their city, stories of nothing behind those walls scared little fillies and colts.
“You know what Shadow?, lets get home and---” Fire was interrupted by a cloaked pony who crashed with him. “Hey watch it!” a feminine voice shouted at him.
“SOMEPONY CATCH THOSE TWO OVER THERE!”
The cloaked pony grabbed Fire by his hoof and trot with him until they got to the corner between the market district and the residential district, the mare pushed him to a pile of hay and she used a barrel full of ash apples as her hiding place.
To make sure, the cloaked mare used a camouflage spell over them, including shadow as well. Her chest started to glow, a orange colored light covered them and soon the group were out of sight.
“Buck! where did they go?!” shouted a shopkeeper looking at his surroundings, the other ponies that were with him suggested to go to the town guard and report the ponies.
The mare waited until the ponies were gone, she deactivated the spell and looked at Fire “Hey kid catch, for the trouble” she threw a bit at him “keep it, it will bring you luck”.
The mare went on her way, Fire and Shadow looked at each other, then they noded to each other “ok, buddy we are following her”. While following the cloaked pony Fire looked at the bit that she gave him, “Is strange, i've never seen a coin like this” he examined which marks the bit had, “Nation of Equestria?, what's that?” , Fire growled, a fake coin, that mare is surely going to have some explanation to do.
The mare went to the Industrial District, it was still afternoon by the glow of the illumination Orbs on the sky, it was hard to Fire to keep track of her, she did unexpected turns on some random corners all the time, thanks to Shadow who was flying above him to keep track of her, he will surely give up 2 minutes after start.
The mare took off her cloak, letting Fire see her beautiful paprika colored mane and her amber colored coat, the mare looked back at his direction, Fire tried to hide but it was too late, the mare smiled and kept going in the same direction.
Fire thought that she didn't notice, but he did notice that she was getting easier to follow, thanks to the festival, the district was less crowded, and the industrial district is more plain and simple than the passage filled Merchant District.
The mare came to a halt, she knocked 5 times a backdoor of a factory. A big pony opened it, the mare glared at him, then she looked in the direction of Fire and did a nod, the big pony went to the direction of Fire, Fire was scared, he froze in place while the big pony approached.
“Boss... says... you... come” Said the big pony carrying the still frozen Fire.
The big pony took Fire on his back and carried him to the inside of the factory, inside there were 4 ponies, all of them seeming too occupied to turn back and see who was entering their place.
“Ok Pops, put him over there by the machines”
The big pony called Pops moved Fire to the place that the mare requested.
“Why did you follow me?”
*silence*
Pops tapped Fire´s back with such strength that made Fire cough a few times “Boss… Asked… you… respond”, Pops voice was threatening and his stare made Fire pray to Discord for his safety.
“That bit-” Fire stared at Pops “*gulp*is false”
“Really?, all that for just one coin?, you kiddin right?”
“The nation of Equestria doesn't exist”
The mare stared at Pops and they both laughed, then the mare whispered something to Pops. The big pony left the mare and Fire alone, “Boss… says… Supervise… others”, Pops went to one of the other ponies and started to talk with him.
“Follow me, it may change your life”
Fire noticed his winged little friend entering through a window, Shadow flew doing and posted on Fire’s head, the mare chuckled at the cute little act.
“Ok little colt, what you will tell me if i say that we live under the real world?”
“I have 19 years, and i will say that you are insane”
“Ok, you know the story of our creation?”
Fire looked ahead with an expression of ‘you kidding right?’
“Well, thats not the complete story”
Fire arched an eyebrow.
“Get comfortable, storytime!” The mare said the last word like a kindergarten teacher.
“Discord our father, somehow gained access to the most powerful artifact in pony history, an artifact so powerful, it can even create life. On that moment of time 1002 years ago, our creator faced, two sisters with their own artifacts ‘The elements of armory’ or something like that, well Discord made some preparations, he used his own seeds of chaos, but those didn't work, before he could be defeated he created us, we don't know how our creator looks like, the only things we know about him are the information he told to the original members of the families”
“Ok mare, thats the same thing that i know, well except the part of those two sisters and those elements, but, what does the so called surface fits in here?”
“Well my mother went on a crusade to the surface, 2 days ago i received a letter from her with that bit and, actual photos of the surface!”
The mare levitated the cloak that she was wearing with her magic, she took the pictures and showed them to Fire. The pictures showed various landscapes, some with a big city on the edge of a mountain in the background.
Fire´s jaw almost hit the ground, the pictures, he knew it was true, such beautiful eyes can't lie him, it is impossible.
“And why did you gave this to me?” Said Fire showing the bit that the mare gave him.
“Well, they saw you with me, sorry but now you are a criminal like us”
Fire thought about his Dad, what will he say?, his son suddenly disappeared and he was last seen with a criminal, a tear slowly descended through Fire´s eye, now he bucked it up, the name of his family, his father, everything went to hell.
“Can you, protect my Dad?”
The mare´s eyes widened, she didn't thought that he was going to say that.
“ehhh… sure, where is your father?”
“Merchant District, Ashes fireworks shop, he is the owner”
“Pops?... Can you go to the fireworks shop on the merchant district and bring the owner to us?, careful he is an old pony.”
“Yes… Boss… right… away”
The mare turned to face Fire again.
“Where are my manners?, my Name is Luminous Flame, and yours?”
“Fire Ashes, a pleasure to meet you, Luminous Fla-.... Wait WHAT?!” Fire tried to hide his surprise but it was already too late “Flame family?, why you a noble doing this?”
Luminous smiled, not a warm one, a more psychotic one “Don't bring politics here”
Fire tried to say something, but he preferred to kept his mouth closed, the mare was indeed a Noble, but why?, better change subject.
“So what are you exactly, Thief guild?, conspirators?, assassins?”
“Fire you are so funny, we are free ponies, nothing more”
“And how many ponies?”
“The 4 over there are a columnist faking articles to put them in our favor, 2 inventors that, well invent stuff, the other one is a farmer who grows crops here in our base, Pops is the physical work, me i am the leader, and you?, we will think about it”
Fire was surprised but how well structured they are “Luminous is pretty and smart, i am amazed” Fire turned his head again to look at Luminous, she was staring at him blushing, her cheeks were red as a fire apple “Did i say it loud?” he just received a nod from Luminous as an answer.

On the Market District
“Fireworks… shop” Read Pops, finally finding what his boss said, now the hard part, take the owner with him without harming him.
*knock* *knock*
The door slowly opened by an aged up pony, the pony narrowed his eyes so he could see the big stallion that was in front of him.
“Pops?, long time no see, hows your father?”
“Dad… Dead”
“I see, what brings you to my shop?” “Your… Son… stole…something… come”
The smile on the old pony´s face disappeared, he turned back to his shop, and walked behind the counter, there he had a carefully hidden saddlebags with unknown content. ‘Oh Fire you are in trouble now’
“Ok, Pops lets go”

Fire was playing with Shadow waiting to hear about his Dad, *knock* *knock* *knock* *knock* *knock*, Luminous opened the door to be pushed aside by an angry old pony.
“FIRE!, YOU HAVE SOME EXPLANATIONS TO DO!”
“Mr. Ashes?, is that you?”
Fire noticed his dad looking at him with such anger in his face, even more than when he played with matches on the storage room of the fireworks shop, when Luminous distracted his dad he took the opportunity to slip away and hide behind a machine.
“Miss Flame?, where is your mother?”
“She made it Mr. Ashes, she is free” Luminous was crying with joy, she knew that Fire´s dad helped her and now, maybe he will agree to one more escape.
Fire heard the conversation, “Dad do you know this ponies?”
“Just her mother, AND DON'T CHANGE SUBJECT!”
Luminous looked at Pops and whispered to him “what did you told him?”
“Nothing… miss”
Luminous led an annoyed sigh and explained the situation to Mr. Ashes, the rage on the old pony´s eyes disappeared on an instant, Fire let out a sigh of relief.
“So…” Mr. Ashes looked at Fire “You were just at the wrong place at the wrong time, thanks Discord this ponies found you”
Fire lowered an eyebrow, ‘Dad knows Luminous´s mom, how?’ .
Luminous clapped her hooves together and with a wide smile said “Father and Son together, fighting for their freedom, THIS STORY GOT INTERESTING!!”, Fire and his Dad looked at Pops, he just shook his head, Luminous looked at the ceiling of the factory and said “We the Children Of Fire are just getting started, stay tuned everypony!!”

Chapter Two
The other 4 ponies that Fire noticed while Pops was carrying him approached the group.
“Miss Luminous” One of them said, she had reading glasses and was carrying some papers in her hoof “The reports say that your ‘incident’ on the market district brought the city guard to the festival”
“Excellent, now lets get this thing in function” Luminous smiled and lifted the papers with her magic, then she gave them to Fire and Mr Ashes.

Meanwhile at the Fireworks shop
*knock* *knock*
“Mr Ashes, hello?, did you finished the request?... Would you kindly open the door for me?”
The mayor was knocking at the Fireworks Shop door, he was followed by 6 members of the city guard, the mayor gave the signal and the biggest guard destroyed the door.
*crack*
The door fell and the 7 ponies entered, the mayor looked around while the guards destroyed the place apart.
“Mr Ashes, you know what happens when somepony steals, the merchant said that he saw your son” The voice of the mayor sounded like he was enjoying the feeling of threat somepony.
“Sir, there is no sign of the owner of this shop”
“Keep looking, in the basement, the cellar, in the toilet, i don't care just find him”
One of the guards went downstairs to look at the Fireworks storage “Wow this is dark, better light something” the guard lighted a torch just to reveal the tons of fireworks stashed “well shi-” *Boom* *Boom* *Boom*. “Sir, i think that he is not here” Said a guard all covered in ash and gunpowder.
“No shit sherlock” Said the mayor with steam coming out from his nose and ears “you blew up the freaking shop!!”.
A signal suddenly fell from the ruined shop and conveniently landed in front of the two ponies, ‘Fireworks Storage, DO NOT USE FIRE MAGIC’, the mayor glared again at the guard.

Shut up Luminous, get back to the story
“Awwww, party pooper”
Ahem…. now Back to our heroes
“By the way Luminous, what did you exactly borrowed this time?” said one of the inventors.
“You will see… Pops, want to make the honors?” Luminous gave an ember to Pops, embers are the main component to keep all mechanical and electronic functions of a factory and other things.
Pops took the ember and positioned it in the main circuit of the factory, as soon the ember was in its place all the machinery and lights started to work.
“So, now our place is more comfortable” Luminous smiled.
Fire trot beside Pops and tried to have a conversation with him, while his dad was talking to Luminous about her mother.
“So, Pops what's your story”
“I… was… farmer”
“Cool, i just assist dad with the fireworks, got any family?”
“Dad… Dead… sister… merchant”
Fire looked at Luminous from time to time, while asking nonsense to Pops, unluckily for Fire Pops noticed him looking at his boss.
“You… like… Boss?”
Fire blushed and started to act like a little colt with a crush.
Luminous asked Mr Ashes if he can make some fireworks for a special event the group is planning for the night, just a little surprise for the mayor.
“Fire, would you kindly come here for a sec?”
Luminous called Fire to a part of the factory to explain about the next move.
“Well Fire, now that you are with us, you have to be useful, you see we are going to the surface but your father told me that the only way to go up is through the dungeons right beneath the city council, you know the office of the mayor.”
“and how are we going there?”
“Simple, i stole the ember and the city guard will surely be searching for us cause the merchant saw you with me, come i am going to explain it to you when it happens”
Luminous went upstairs to a balcony, the same that a normal supervisor will use to direct important announces to the employees.
“Alright everypony, Pops you stay here with Mr Ashes and help to carry the fireworks to the rendezvous, inventors help with the fireworks, the other ones know what to do.”
Luminous took her cloak and gave Fire another one, Shadow was still on the head of Fire.

“Alright everypony is time to end this festival with the best fireworks show you had ever seen i your life” The mayor standing on a podium placed just for the occasion.
‘alright Mr Ashes i hope that you did it right’ thought Luminous looking at the podium, Fire was at her left looking up to see if any fireworks are fired.
*Boom* *Boom* *Boom* *laughts* the podium exploded thanks to the fireworks
The guards rushed to help the mayor, all the ponies who were there were laughing at the event, in the other hoof the mayor was burning in both ways, with anger and with all the fireworks exploding right underneath him.
Fire and Luminous still in the public, they both took off their cloaks, the merchant who saw Fire early that day recognized him almost immediately “Guards get those two”. Fire and Luminous didn't even tried to escape, everything was just as planned.
“I hope those two know what are they doing” Said Mr Ashes from a nearby window.
“Boss… Smart… you… wait” Pops was behind him wearing the armor of an unconscious guard.

“Next” Called the jailor.
Fire and Luminous entered the room, accompanied by 4 guards.
“Crime?”
“Sir, this two are ember robbers”
“May Discord have mercy of your souls… Next”
The guards pushed the two ponies, they opened a big door, behind it was a long hallway with cells on both sides, they were tales of the cells themselves driving a pony to insanity.
It was dark, you can only hear the hoofsteps and the screams of the prisoners, not even rats roam this jail. It was a long walk, the darkness was horrible and the prisoners screaming for help didn't made the things easier, no wonder why the jail is under the office of the mayor.
Finally they made it to their cell, the last one, reserved just for the ember robbers, steal an ember is the second worst crime in the children of fire laws. But it was all as planned, on the last cell is a hidden door leading to the office of the mayor, there they can get the location of the way to the surface.
It was easier said than done, Luminous didn't count the darkness as a factor, well she can use magic anyway, the chest of Luminous started to glow, but the spell dispelled in just a blink.
“Well Luminous is obvious that we can't use magic, is a prison genius.”
Luminous tried to hit him with her hoof, but she only got darkness and fell on the ground, Fire ignored Luminous, he was focused on keeping his mind clear and breath, he was scared of the darkness since he was a baby.
With Luminous tapping the wall to find Fire or the secret passage if she is lucky, Fire on the other hoof found a corner and sat in there with his eyes closed, his calm breath turned into panting.
Luminous heard the panting of Fire, this time it was easier for her to find him in the dark just by the sounds, the other prisoners got quiet when the guards disappeared behind the entrance of the cell, Luminous kept one hoof in front of her just for caution. She felt the shivering Fire, he sounded like he was getting out of breath, when Luminous touched him, Fire jumped in surprise and hit his head with the wall.
Luminous did not said a word, she just hugged Fire as tight as she could whispering “Is alright, i am here with you”, Fire was still shivering, but his quick breaths were slowly getting calmer until it turned into a relaxed sigh “You feeling ok?”, Fire returned the hug to Luminous as the answer, the hug lasted for another 30 seconds, it felt like minutes for Fire “There, that was Nanny used to do when i got scared”, Luminous sat beside Fire.
“You know, when i am in a place so pitch black like this, i start to see things that are not there, creatures moving and looking at me, then i start to hear voices like they are talking to me and finally i feel like they are trying to get me” Fire let another sigh to calm himself, Luminous didn't kept quiet and grabbed one of Fire´s arms and hugged it.
“Fire, lets focus on searching the hidden door, the sooner we found it, the sooner we will get out of here” Fire let out a sigh and grabbed one of Luminous arms and hugged it “Okay we can keep our hooves together to know where is the other.”
Both ponies got up and started to tap each part of the wall, keeping their hooves together, *tap* *tap* *tap* *tap* *click*, Luminous heard the click and dragged Fire to where she was standing, Fire started to pat that zone with his hoof and heard another *click*. The wall moved revealing a light leading to a corridor.
Both ponies didn't think twice, they went to that corridor as it was their last hope. Bad thing though they crashed with the Mayor who was casually trotting by, he was covered in ash and gunpowder, his business suit was all burned up and filled with holes.
The mayor got to his hooves and glared at both ponies, the reaction of Fire was grab a nearby vase and break it on the mayor´s head, Luminous looked horrified at the unconscious Mayor on the floor.
“Fire, For the love of Discord, what the heck are you thinking!” “Sorry i panicked!”
Luminous did a face hoof, then looked around for what are they searching for, the mayor´s office. The information that they got was wrong, the hidden door of the cell took them to a corridor next to the cafeteria, things couldn't get worse now.
Narrator this is ridiculous, every time they say things couldn't get worse they Do!
Shut up Luminous, not this time trust me.
What?, Fire is going to bring his inner hero and will carry me to safety, that's like a nightime story or something conveniently hanging around?
Luminous, you know that i hate the Deus Maquina things, now GO BACK TO THE STORY
Ahem…. some of the guards were still at the festival, the ones stationed on the Mayor's building were getting drunk at the cafeteria, the Mayor gave them the all clear for the festival, no alcoholic prohibitions for the day.
If Fire and Luminous are lucky most of the guards will be drunk enough to not arrest them, the operation ended up as a complete fail, Luminous stole an ember for nothing, Fire got a panic attack and almost hyperventilated for nothing.
“You…. Come” A big guard came behind them.
Luminous arched an eyebrow “Pops i know its you”, Pops sighed, Fire smiled “Ok Pops, can you get us out?”
“Thats…. Plan”
“Did you know that this was going to happen?” Fire said with a confused look on his face.
“Journalist…. Traitor”
“What do you mean?”
“Journalist…. turned…. everypony…. against…. Boss” Pops took out a newspaper, the special of the evening, the front page had a photo of Luminous, Pops, Mr Ashes and Fire, written in big letters it said “THE SURFACE REBELS FACES REVEALED!”. Luminous couldn't believe it, the only journalist who knew that was HER journalist.
Pops positioned himself behind both ponies, the armor that he was wearing gave the impression of a city guard escorting two civilians to their home, the other guards were distracted by the festival or getting drunk, some of them were with their families ignoring Pops.
Maybe the firework shenanigans was supposed to be the close the festival activities, it just opened the door to the night time festival, normally the children of fire work all day, the only recess they have is when they eat and go to sleep, festivals are planned to keep the morale high.
Pops escorted Fire and Luminous to the residential district, there Mr Ashes was waiting for them, Pops looked around to see if there was any guard, when the coast was clear, he took off the armor.
“Armor…. heavy”
Fire hugged his Dad while Luminous talked to Pops on what was going to be the next move.

Meanwhile at the Mayor’s office
The mayor took a bath to take off all the remains of the day, his head hurt and it was bandaged, luckily for him there was still a nurse on the cafeteria, and she wasn't drunk, by the time.
The Mayor heard somepony knocking at his door, then one soldier came in.
“Sir, we found your sister” The guard gave the evening special newspaper to the Mayor.
“Soldier, you know what to do”
“Yes Sir!”
You silly filly Luminous, you don't know what's coming to get you.The Mayor smiled and started to laugh.

Chapter Three
“Mommy, wait don't go, don't leave me please!” Luminous stretched her arm as far as she could, but her mother seems to get farther and farther away. “Mommy PLEASE!” Luminous started to cry, her tears disappear as soon they hit the void underneath her.
“MOOOOOOOOM!” Cried Luminous when she woke up, this startled everypony on the house.
“Luminous are you ok?” Said Fire.
“Boss…. ok?” Said Pops.
“Miss Luminous, are you ok?” Said Mr Ashes.
“Yeah yeah, i am fine, its just…. a nightmare” Luminous was sweating and her mane was all messed up, suddenly Fire hugged her, just like she did to him back at the prison.
“Is alright” Fire repeated the same words that Luminous told him when he panicked, Luminous blushed when Fire said “Is alright, i am here with you”, then it faded away when she noticed the smirks on the faces of both Pops and Mr Ashes.
“Mr Ashes, you knew my mother, tell me what happened when she left” the request caught Mr Ashes off-guard, the smirk disappeared from his face, the old pony turned around and went downstair without answering.
“I’ve never seen Dad acting like that, give him a break Luminous, he is like 59 years old by now”
“But-”
“No Luminous, *sigh* i know Dad, just let him rest for a while a he will gladly answer any question!” Fire finished with encouraging words to Luminous.
“By the way Fire, where is Shadow?”
“Oh, i told him to wait for me back at the fac- BUCK!” Fire trotted to the window to see if it wasn’t far, indeed the factory wasn't far, just a good 10 minutes walk, but there is a little problem, the evening special newspaper got the picture of Fire and the others and they will be on the wanted list for sure.
Fire took his cloak, he was kind of lucky, the festival got most of the city guard drunk and by that moment they will surely having the hangover of their life, well except the responsible ones and the boot lickers, the mayo too, hangover or not he will surely punish the ponies who dared to mess with him.
“Dad, i am going for Shadow” Before hearing a reply, Fire trotted out of the house with his cloak on.
“Pops, keep an eye on him can you?” Said Luminous.
“Yes…. Ma’am”

The light embers on the ceiling marked the time with their glow, a brighter one means day and a darker one means night, it was still too early in the morning, Fire knew it, if he was lucky, he could be able to get Shadow when he was still awake, one of the weak points of having a nocturnal animal as pet and not a mole like anypony else.
“Please buddy, be awake” Fire got as fast as he could to the factory, ignoring everything that was in front of him, his eyes focused above to see if Shadow was flying around before going to sleep, to his surprise Shadow was flying above the factory, when Fire called his pet, he crashed at full speed with a mare who was just passing by.
“Hey watch it!” Shouted the angry mare, Fire opened his eyes to look at the mare, Shadow noticed him from above, the Mare looked just like Luminous, the only difference is that her mane color was red and that Luminous was a little taller.
“Luminous?” Fire said bringing a hoof to his head.
“You know my sister?” The mare got on her hooves, Shadow posted on Fire’s head, the mare chuckled at the bat, then looked at Fire “Answer my question peasant!”
Fire ignored the mare, it was hard for him, he liked Luminous, but her sister had something different that attrac-
Wait a second Narrator, that means that Fire is going to have a crush on me AND my sister!?
LUMINOUS!!, how the hell you got in here?!

Sigh, where was i?, yeah i remember…. Luminous sister had something that attracted Fire, her lower stature made her look kind of cute and the mane color matched her eyes perfectly, Fire got lost on the eyes of the mare both eyes shining like a ruby, Fire shook his head, he can't be in love with 2 mares, two sisters to make it worse, ‘But bigamy is technically legal in the children of fire community’ Fire shook his head again to take the thought out of his head.
The mare noticed that Fire wasn’t paying attention to her questions, she decided that the best she can do is, hitting Fire in the face with her hoof. She lifted her right hoof, it was charged up with her magic to increase the power of the strike, *POW*.
“WHY?!”
“Because you are ignoring my questions!”
“*sigh* are you Luminous sister?”
“isn’t that obvious by now peasant?”
“Yes i know her, but i ain't taking you to see her”
Fire trotted back to the safe house with Shadow on his head, the mare followed him as fast as she could to keep up with the stallion, a problem for Fire is that his condition is pretty bad, he was forced to rest from time to time, that gave the mare time to keep up with him until she caught him with her magic, he was 1 block far from the safe house when the mare got him.
“Put me down!”
“where is my sister?!”
“Why should i trust you!”
“Because-”
“CRIMSON FLAME!, PUT DOWN THAT PONY RIGHT NOW!” Shouted Luminous, to Fire’s luck, Shadow flew to the house and guided Luminous to where he was, being levitated like a ragdoll in the middle of the street.
Crimson looked at her sister, she let go Fire and trotted over to Luminous to hug her. Tears appeared in Crimson’s eyes. “Sister *sniff* Ember said that you died *sniff* and when i saw you on the evening special i-”
“How did you know about the factory” Fire interrupted.
“Well the location was on the newspaper” Crimson kept a cold expression when she talked to Fire.
The other ponies around recognized the sisters, some because Crimson is the Head of the Flame Family, but thats just appearances, the real Head of the Flame family is the Mayor, Crimson is just there to show that tradition is still respected, but Luminous showed up on the newspaper as a traitor, 2 weeks after her sudden disappearance.
The other ponies ignored the scene, they have to go to work or their bosses are going to fire them and they have to live in the Ratway, right underneath the city, a job is something that you MUST have, if the census shows that you can't pay for something, you will be banned to the Ratway.
Fire, Luminous and Crimson, entered to the house, Pops was waiting for them while Mr Ashes was making fireworks in the basement.
Crimson tried to explain the situation that she was having at the moment and thanks to the journalist that she contacted to get the information about Luminous, that means that the journalist that worked for Luminous didn't betrayed her, she just did that to help Crimson.
All the ponies except Mr Ashes went to the living room and letted Crimson explain the situation.
“Luminous you have to go back, Ember is messing everything up!”
“NO”
“Luminous you know what that psycho is capable of!”
“I WON'T GO BACK, and i know that he's still a pony like us, nopony had find the gift of fire in 1002 years, why he would now?!”
“*sigh* he found the archives of the flame family”
Luminous eyes widened in shock, how does her half-brother Ember could find it, the scrolls containing such information are exclusively opened by a pure example of Flame family's blood, he can’t, he has the blood of the ember family, he is not entirely a Flame but he is still the mayor.
The room kept a silence, not a normal silence, an uneasy cemetery like silence. Pops and Fire looked at each other trying to know what's going on, the two sisters had different expressions, Crimson had a serious face and Luminous had a face of pure horror, if the archives of the Flame family are used the wrong way, something terrible is going to happen to Candlelight City.
“whats the plan Luminous?” Fire asked.
“Get the archives and hide in the Ratway”
Crimson’s eyes widened this time, the same happened to both Fire’s and Pops eyes, the Ratway is full of thieves and murderers, but some of them are still sane and may help Luminous with her cause.
“You know, the mayor is going nuts about finding us now” Crimson said.
Mr Ashes came from the basement with a box full of fireworks, old habits die hard, and more for the old pony.
“Mr Ashes!” Crimson trotted over to the old pony and gave him a tight hug.
Fire was now interested in the past of his father, Fire expended all his life with his mom at the fireworks shop while his dad went out to work as a alchemist for the Flame family, thats why he is so good with fireworks. Now that made sense, why his dad know the sisters?, but what about Pops?, is he related to the sisters?
Luminous seemed to be thinking the next move while her sister was getting the oxygen out of the poor old pony, Fire tried to have a proper conversation with Pops.
“Pops, do you know Crimson?”
“No”
“How did you met Luminous?”
“Farm…. closed… she…. helped”
“why do you work for her?”
“she…. needed…. help”
Luminous levitated everypony on the room, then positioned each one on the various chairs that she prepared.
“alright everypony Flame mansion is going down, Crimson they know that you are here?”
“No, i don’t think so”
“You are going to enter and open the way from the inside, tell the guards that we are special guest or something like that”
“Luminous, since our brother became the mayor, that mansion is a fortress, is not that easy to trick security”
Luminous sat down again trying to think about a new plan.

Meanwhile at the Flame House
“Sir, you sister Crimson is nowhere to be found”
The mayor was drinking his Flame Apple cider, a special breed of apple that only the children of fire know how to grow, when he heard the new he spilled it all over the guard.
“Sir, some civilians reported the location of Luminous, and Crimson is with her”
Now the mayor smiled, if Crimson is with Luminous, that means that she knows about the archives, but the mayor can’t open it, he can use Luminous or Crimson, that silly filly is just going to help him open the archives.
“Get them here as soon as you can soldier”
The guard turned around and went to get some soldiers for the mission. When the guard got out the room, the mayor closed the door, then he moved to a painting of him when he was a little colt by the side of his father, the head of the Flame family by the time.
“You old pony, you said that i wasn't worthy, that i am not a pure Flame, well look at me now, i found the archive, then i will find the gift of fire, and all Candlelight city will crumble beneath my iron hoof!” The mayor pushed a button behind the painting, then a secret door opened revealing another bottle of flame apple cider.
The guard had his own plans too, he was loyal to the Flame family, but the corruption of the mayor and the desaparicion of the Lady and Luminous made things harder to control, even the mayor’s insanity got worse since the incident at the Fireworks shop and what happened at the end of the festival, without counting the assault he got from two prisoners.

Back to Luminous and her Incredibly complicated stupid plan
Crimson was trotting ahead with Fire and Pops, both stallions disguised as city guards, it was getting easier to get that armor, now that Pops stole some during his rescue of Fire and Luminous, Mr Ashes was levitating a box full of fireworks and Luminous was chained up, simulating that she was captured.
The mansion was just on the hill of the wealthy district, the whole district was property of the Flame family, the only family of the 3 originals that stayed pure without mixing their blood with the other ones, until the birth of Ember Flame, the mayor.
Crimson and Luminous are pure Flame blood, Luminous refused to follow the tradition of the family when her mother disappeared, Luminous was supposed to be the new head of the family, but when she escaped that responsibility was for Crimson, but she refused saying that she can't take the place of her sister, at the end the head of the family was Ember because there were nopony else to do the job.
The main door of the mansion stood there, 5 guards guarding it while other 10 patrolled the garden, the inside is swarmed with guards and the mayor standing there with his mug full of flame apple cider.
Now is time to begin the crazy plan of Luminous Flame.
