> The Will of Fire > by The-DerpSide > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Madara's loss, Spike's gain > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Madara Uchiha stood in his samurai-like armor and frowned at the sight before him. These.....creatures....couldn't see him. After all, he was merely a ghost. The Shinigami (God of Death) had not been happy of Madara somehow not going back to the after life after the "Impure World Resurrection" had been reversed...he had forced himself to stay through sheer willpower and had made his pawn revive him. For being nothing but a pawn, Obito Uchiha had served him well. After he had been ripped apart as Kaguya Otsutsuki emerged from the Shinju, the Shinigami had come to claim him....and yet he had evaded the God of Death itself! Somehow, while Kaguya was ripping through dimensions trying to reclaim all Chakra in existence, Madara had gone through a portal and ended up....wherever he was right now. There were humanoid beings with arms and legs....but that was where the similarities ended. These creatures often had fur covering them, and some of them had horns or wings....sometimes even both, and their legs ended in hooves. Most of the equines were often female...which in all honesty made him upset. He wanted to be reborn the same gender that he was born as....a male. Many of the males in this building...a castle...were too old to successfully possess (and were in jobs under close scrutiny) and the few that were the right age were under close observation. They were also only slightly above average in terms of power. This was unacceptable to Madara. He was Madara Uchiha! A man whose name sent fear throughout the world! In no way would he be associated with such weak beings. But....in front of his very eyes, a toddler Unicorn filly hatched a baby dragon. A dragon! A legendary creature of power and fire! He had his new body....now...the dragon had to be a child when his fire settled into controllable spurts. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Six years later: Spike's age: Six Twilight's age: Nine Madara gave a very sinister and malicious grin as he willed himself to appear in front of the dragon. He had managed to get the dragon alone! Unbeknownst to him, Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle had just entered the room. "Now...I will be reborn in a new body....yours!" Madara said as he leaped into Spike's body through his heart and Spike collapsed on the ground, convulsing. Princess Celestia and Twilight were by their son (in Celestia's case) and assistant's (in Twilight's case) side. Their horns glowed as they tapped them against Spike's head and entered in subconscious. When they opened their eyes, they were inside a dark room of Canterlot Castle and saw Spike being absolutely manhandled by that figure. The man's spiked black hair swung wildly as he landed punch after punch, kick after kick, upon Spike. "Why do you prolong the inevitable? Accept your fate." The man said. With that, he made a strange symbol with his hands and called out "Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!" before he inhaled and exhaled a literal wall of flames. Spike was helpless as the fire consumed him....only to charge out the other side and attempt to headbutt the man. Except his strange, red eyes seemed to track his every move Spike made and the man caught him and threw him to the ground. "Pathetic." The man said, pressing his sandal-ed foot against Spike's head. "To my Sharingan, all your moves are useless." However, his focus was turned to the two mares, who had their magical auras wrap around his legs. His red eyes glanced into the two mare's eyes, and with that Celestia and Twilight found themselves paralyzed-like they had frozen every limb in her body. "Whatever you do is useless. I will be reborn." The man said, before a stream of dragon-fire burned his left arm and leg. "What?!" Madara said, growling as he found his left side harder to move. "I....WIll...Not....Bow to you!" Spike growled out, before he found himself paralyzed by looking into the man's red eyes. "But...you will...your body will be mine!" The man said, inching his way to Spike..... Only for a sword to pierce his chest. Behind the man holding the sword was a demonic looking entity. He wore a white cloak and had purple skin. The whites of his eyes were black and his irises yellow. Sharp teeth protruded from his mouth and he had spiked white hair going down his back, with red horns protruding from the top. "Finally. I apologize for the delay, creatures of another dimension." The figure spoke in a deep, dark tone. "It took way too long to track down this soul." "Who are you? You're not trying to possess me too are you?" Spike said as the paralysis wore off. "No. I am the Shinigami....his world's God of Death. However, since my world's lost soul interfered where he did not belong, I now owe you a favor, but I need something from you in return...something you cannot replace." The ghostly figure stabbing the man said. Spike thought long and hard. Should he take the offer? But what should he give up? Then something he learned about his species came to his mind. Dragons hoard. With Twilight and Celestia motioning him to not take the offer, he stared into the Shinigami's eyes and said "I give you....my greed." This dumbfounded the Princess of the Sun and her student. The Shinigami gave a loud, booming laugh. "Oh you are a smart one. You knew of your species major flaw and found the perfect way to get rid of it!" With that the Shinigami inhaled and a sickly, poisonous green energy flowed out of Spike into the Shinigami's mouth. "Now....since it caused you so much trouble...I grant you this man's-Madara Uchiha's-abilities. The fire that is more mould-able than dragon-fire. The Gunbai used by him...and his eyes, Mangekyo Sharingan....Pinwheel Copy Eye...that can call forth an ethereal being for defense and attack." The Shinigami said. "Ha!" Madara coughed out "He'll go blind within a year." "Which is why I'm removing the blindness from the Mangekyo, but that also prevents it from evolving into the Rin'negan...which is for the best. Look what the Rin'negan turned you into Madara!" The Shinigami countered, before a red energy flowed out of Madara into Spike. Who closed his eyes. When he opened them, his eyes were red and it had three black raindrop-shaped markings with holes in the largest section-all interconnected around the pupil. (Look up the cover image...that is Madara's Mangekyo Sharingan) "Thank you...Shinigami-sama." Spike said with a bow as he deactivated the Mangekyo Sharingan....reverting his eyes back to his emerald green color with a cat-like pupil. "No. I must thank you. Too many times Madara Uchiha has cheated me. It was thanks to you fighting him off that allowed me to finally locate and take him." With that the Shinigami started fading away before his final words rang out. "By the way, those gifts are inheritable...which means that your children will have them." With that, everything started to fade as Spike woke up and Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle returned to their own bodies. "Inheritable by his children..." Celestia said, as she gathered her son into her arms. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Twilight's age: 19 Spike's age: 16 The sound of fists striking armor was what Twilight Sparkle awakened to, a book on her desk-which she slept on-and the sun shining through the window. Glancing through the window to the outside, Twilight was greeted to the sight of her older brother-Shining Armor, Captain of the Royal Guard; and Spike, only member of the Royal Guard Special Attack Forces; sparring. Shining Armor wore the traditional Royal Armor, and Spike also wore golden metal armor...but his was slightly different. Spike's armor consisted of multiple metal plates interlocking to protect his sides, front, shoulders, and waist. It also lacked a helmet. (Basically, it is a gold version of Madara's Armor, shown below) On the topmost shoulder-guard, on each side, was an altered version of the Royal Guard symbol. Instead of being an exact replica of Princess Celestia's Cutie-Mark, the left-most side of the "sun" was a crescent moon. While Shining Armor held a spear in his hands, Spike held a gunbai-a Metal War Fan. It was gourd-shaped, similar to the number "8", and had black metal around the sides. There was a long pole through the middle with the handle end wrapped in sport's tape. The bottom edge had three red tomoe markings on each side. (Madara's Gunbai, shown below) As Shining Armor charged, Spike blocked the spearhead with the bottom of the gunbai, making sparks fly off, before jumping back and yelling "Gunbai Fanned Wind!" and swinging the gunbai. This launched a barrage of gale-force winds at Shining Armor, who blocked by creating a magical shield. Spike frowned as his Mangkyo Sharingan scanned the shield, and Spike attempted to make eye contact with Shining Armor. If he could trap the Captain in an illusion-he would win. "Enough!" A regal voice called out, and the two turned and bowed to the voice's owner-Princess Celestia. "You two are the most powerful guards in the Royal Guards...and I don't say that because one of them is my son. You both have earned the titles." She said, "But I have a mission for Spike." "Yes mom." Spike said quietly, standing up and brushing dust off his shoulder guards. "Tomorrow I am sending Twilight Sparkle to Ponyville to learn about the Magic of Friendship and to oversee preparations of the Summer Sun festival. I will need you to protect my student. Is that alright?" Celestia said, her face softening at her son's determined look. "I am Spike Solaris. Prince of Equestria and only member of the Royal Guard Special Attack Forces. I will not fail you!" Spike said, gazing up to Twilight-who was waving from the window of her room. > Friendship is Magic, Chakra is Power > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay so the last chapter was pretty well received. So, I am adding a little video that showcases SOME of Madara's abilities. Trust me, Spike isn't quite up to Madara's level yet....only in Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. While Spike has the knowledge of Madara's Taijutsu and weapon abilities, he was constantly growing and throwing his balance off. He can improve NOW that he is slowing down in his growth. Also, this video is in Japanese with English subtitles....but they mistranslated "Great Fire Annihilation" as "Majestic Destroyer Flame".....there was a little confusion on that part. I've looked it up...it's official name is "Great Fire Annihilation". I've also gone back and corrected the name of the Mangekyo Sharingan. While Spike only has Madara's knowledge and abilities, some personality traits have "passed on" to Spike from the failed possession attempt. His seriousness was both installed by Madara AND Spike's Royal Guard training. Also, like Madara, Spike refers to fighting as "dancing". He will even criticize other's fighting abilities by saying things like their "steps are too narrow". Also, he inherited a hobby of Madara's....falconry....which will be useful later on....(coughPeeWeecough). Also, Madara's statistics as compared to Spike's. Madara: Ninjutsu: 5 Genjutsu: 5 Taijutsu: 5 Intelligence: 4.5 Strength: 5 Speed: 4.5 Stamina: 5 Hand seals: 5 Spike: Ninjutsu: 5 Genjutsu: 5 Taijutsu: 2 Intelligence: 3 Strength: 4 Speed: 3 Stamina: 4 Hand seals: 2 "This world is full of things that don't go as you wish. The longer you live the more you realize reality is just made of pain, suffering, and emptiness… Listen… In this world, whenever there is light, there are also shadows. As long as the concept of winners exist, there must also be losers. The selfish desire of wanting to maintain peace causes wars and hatred is born to protect love." - Madara Uchiha ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Spike stood glancing at the multiple Pegasi carrying the chariot that he and Twilight stood in. Much to Twilight's surprise, he didn't scoff at her notion of Nightmare Moon returning, and instead glanced at the sky while turning his back to her, revealing that the back of his special armor did not have a plate like the front, just smaller plates attaching just above his waist like a belt-letting his back spikes protrude freely. To all but Twilight and Celestia, no one was to know of the Shinigami or Madara Uchiha. These eyes were a new genetic trait....which was technically true. "I've been sensing a foul power lately. It is why I've been practicing, so that I may dance claw-to-hoof with Nightmare Moon should she return." Spike said, before pressing a hand to a strange symbol on his left lower shoulder guard and pulling a notebook and quill out from the symbol in a puff of smoke. Chakra is comprised of two different energies combining. Yin-Spiritual Energy gained from studies and meditation, and Yang-Physical Energy gained from training the body. Every creature has these two energies, but how ponies use them is....different. Spike wrote, Earth Ponies and Pegasi use mainly Yang energy, which is why Pegasi can carry heavy loads flying and Earth Ponies have what some call "super strength". However, Unicorns use mainly Yin energy, which they call "Magic". Alicorns are the closest to having Chakra, but so far I've only seen them flow Yin energy through their horns while they flow Yang through the rest of their bodies. Twilight Sparkle is a unique case....she has the most amount of Yang energy in her body I've seen out of any ordinary Unicorn. It nearly matches Princess Cadence's levels...and she's an Alicorn! However, the sheer amount of Yin energy in her body makes the Yang energy seem small in comparison. He was broken from his writings when the carriage came to a bumpy stop and Spike put the quill and book back into the symbol. To prevent Twilight from reading it, he had been writing in Japanese-a language Madara spoke and wrote. Still, it was the same on Madara's world as it was in Neighpan, which spoke and wrote Neighpanese....which exactly matched Madara's language. The last thing he needed was Twilight learning Neighpanese to read his research. "Make friends!" Twilight griped, "That can be done later....AFTER Nightmare Moon is dealt with. Right now, I will make sure the preparations for the Summer Sun Festival are going according to schedule." She said, before spotting a pink Earth Pony wearing blue clothes. "You there!" Twilight said, before the mare gasped loudly and ran off. "She's....fast." Spike said, Mangekyo Sharingan following the mare until she disappeared from sight. "And odd...." Twilight said, before shaking her head and pulling out a list. "Okay...the pony responsible for the catering is...Applejack...who this list says lives at Sweet Apple Acres." "That's down this road according to the sign." Spike said, playing with the handle of his gunbai and stringing some metal wire to it. "Spike. You are NOT going to attach a sickle to that gunbai!" Twilight said. "Too late." Spike said, "and technically a sickle used as a weapon is called a kama." This made Twilight groan out as she saw the metal gleaming from underneath the gunbai. "It's bad enough you have a giant metal fan that can break bones....now a sickle too!" She said as they walked along. "Don't blame me, I'd rather be over-prepared for a dance of death than be found...lacking." Spike said. "ENOUGH WITH THE DANCE COMPARISONS!" Twilight screamed, making ponies around them back up in terror and surprise. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Once they arrived at Sweet Apple Acres, Spike deactivated the Sharingan to appear less threatening....as nonthreatening as a dragon in specialized Royal Guard armor could appear. "Well howdy there." A bright voice called out and they turned to see an orange Earth Pony mare with a blonde mane and tail in farmer's clothing waving at them. "Greetings. I am Twilight Sparkle and Princess Celestia sent me to see how preparations for the Summer Sun festival were coming." Twilight said. "Well howdy-doo Miss Twilight! A pleasure makin' your acquaintance!" The mare said, "I'm Applejack." She said, shaking Twilight's hand so hard she was constantly lifted of the ground slightly. "And who is this feller?" She asked, taking in Spike's appearance. "I'm Spike. Mom sent me to keep Twilight out of trouble." Spike said, shifting his shoulders slightly when Twilight slapped his right shoulder. "Spike. Don't speak of Celestia so lightly!" She said, and Applejack's eyes nearly popped out of her skull at those words. "Princess Celestia is your MOTHER?!" She screamed. "By blood adoption. It gave me the unique magical ability to teleport letters through a magic fire." Spike said, "And I can see that preparations are coming along nicely with the catering." "Please stay, we're all about to have brunch." Applejack said, her eyes darting between Spike and Twilight. "Well I really must be going..." Twilight started to say right before her stomach growled. "Maybe just a bite...." "SOUP'S ON, EVERYPONY!" Applejack shouted. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Next up is the mare in charge of the weather....Rainbow Dash..." Twilight said. "I just wish that...Applebloom filly hadn't tried playing with my gunbai so much. It is not a toy!" Spike said, readjusting the gunbai and kama on his back. "She's just a filly." Twilight said, before staring at the sky. She frowned when she saw clouds scattered across it. "It seems that someone isn't doing their job." With the regular three-tomoe (first stage) Sharingan (not the Mangekyo), Spike could see a rainbow-colored tail protruding from one of the clouds. Throwing some metal wire at the tail, he wrapped the wire around it and tugged, pulling a cyan mare in sports shorts and a Wonderbolts T-shirt with a rainbow mane and tail down from it. "Hey! What's the big idea?!" The mare exclaimed. "You weren't doing your job....Rainbow Dash." Twilight said, "I am Twilight Sparkle and this is Spike Solaris...we're here checking on the Summer Sun festival preparations." "Don't you now who I am? I am the one and only Rainbow Dash! Future Wonderbolt!" Rainbow Dash said, "I can clear these skies in ten seconds flat!" With that, the mare took off in a high-speed rainbow blur, and the skies were quickly cleared of clouds. The blur than stopped n front of Twilight, covering her in mud. "Ten seconds flat!" Rainbow Dash bragged, before spotting Twilight covered in mud. "Don't worry, I'll clean you off with my Rainbow blow dry." With that, the blur wrapped around Twilight before Rainbow Dash stopped and Twilight was cleaned...but her mane and tail were in tangled messes. "Can't wait to hang out some more!" She said before flying off. "Well...next is decorations....done by a...Rarity..." Twilight said, checking the list. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Okay so the decorations are coming along nicely." Twilight said as the duo approached the city hall. Entering inside, they were greeted by a white unicorn with a curled purple mane and tail in a fancy sky-blue dress which had slits going up her legs, giving glimpses of her triple-diamond Cutie-Mark. "Hmm...she seems...sophisticated...." Spike said, absentmindedly brushing off a shoulder plate. "Good afternoon..." Twilight started to say, but was cut off when Rarity held a hand up. "Just a moment, 'I am in the zone', as it were. Oh yes, sparkles always do the trick." Rarity said as she hefted a ribbon onto a column using her magic. After appraising her work, she turned around and her eyes widened in shock as she saw Twilight's disheveled appearance. "Oh my stars, darling! What ever happened to your coiffure?" Rarity asked. "Oh, my mane? It's a long story. I am just here to check on the decorations, which look....." Twilight started to say, when Spike glanced at the decorations. "Amazing." He said. "Yes, what he said. So we will be going now, so we can get out of your hair." Twilight said. "Out of my hair? What about yours? Come with me, I will gave you looking gorgeous in no time." Rarity said, dragging Twilight out of city hall. "Spike! Help me!" Twilight begged. "Oh this is good. Sorry Twilight, you aren't getting out of socializing." After a while, they ended up inside a building called Carousel Boutique, where Rarity quickly fixed up Twilight's mane and tail. Afterwards, she started trying out different dresses on Twilight. "Oh Spike was it? Will you please hand me that yellow dress?" Rarity asked. Spike picked it up and glanced at it. "Huh. Matches my armor." He said, passing it to her. "Thank you. Your armor is quite dapper. It reminds me of the Royal Guard armor, yet it is different at the same time." She said. "I'd hope it'd be different. This is the new Royal Guard Special Attack Forces armor." Spike said, once again brushing it off. The dress fell out of Rarity's hands. "Wait....Spike.....Royal Guard Special Attack Forces....a large gourd-shaped metal fan...." She said before her gaze turned to him. "You are THE Spike Solaris?! Adopted son of Princess Celestia and one of Canterlot Magazine's top ten most eligible bachelors?!" Spike's gaze shifted nervously. "Um....yes?" This response got a loud squeal from the mare and Twilight, sensing an opportunity, grabbed Spike in her magic and ran off, trying to get away from this...overzealous....mare. After meeting a relatively normal-the overly shy Fluttershy (who took an interest in seeing a friendly dragon), they ended up in their future home: Golden Oaks Library. However everything was dark. Twilight turned the lights on to reveal. "SURPRISE!" Just about all of Ponyville. "Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie, and I threw this party just for you! Were you surprised? Were ya? Were ya? Huh huh huh?" The pink mare from earlier said. As she started the "welcome to Ponyville party", Twilight accidentally drank a cup of hot sauce by mistake and ran upstairs. Spike chuckled softly, before he sensed something and frowned. It was something he'd been sensing recently.....something dark...... And his feelings were proven to be true when Nightmare Moon returned when Princess Celestia was supposed to raise the sun. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Spike waited until Twilight and the five other mares-Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie-had left by making them think he had fallen asleep from sheer exhaustion. In reality, he had been meditating, preparing himself mentally for the upcoming fight. He could clearly sense where Nightmare Moon was hiding, her magic radiating throughout the land. It had been surprisingly close which meant..... "Nightmare Moon had been spying on them!" Spike realized in horror. Running out the door (but closing it behind him), Spike jumped to the treetops and started leaping from tree to tree throughout the Everfree Forest. Avoiding the beasts in the forest were no problem-and neither was jumping across the river or chasm that blocked the Castle of the Two Sisters off from the rest of the Everfree. Just as Nightmare Moon shattered the orbs that once held the Elements of Harmony, she started taunting Twilight as the five other mares ran down to help her. "You see, there is no real way to stop me." "But I can try!" Spike's voice rang out, surprising the six mares as he jumped through the roof and onto the floor. "I will be your opponent!" He called out, brandishing the kama and gunbai, the large fan being held in his right hand and the kama being held in a reverse grip in his left. "Spike?" Twilight asked as he stood up straight. "It is my job to keep you safe. I am Spike Solaris....and with my inheritable genetic trait...my....kekkei genkai...I can stall her long enough for you to find the power you need to defeat this menace. You see, Nightmare Moon....all living beings have both Yin-Spiritual-and Yang-physical-energies in their bodies....but they can never harness both at the same time...but I can, and with my chakra, your defeat is certain." "You think you can defeat me? I shall take pleasure in killing my sister's son." Nightmare Moon spat out. "You've just sealed your fate.....Mangekyo Sharingan!" Spike called out, revealing to the five new friends Twilight made his unique eyes. "Now....let's dance!" Spike started off in a slow jog, but quickly sped up. Nightmare fired a blast of magic at him, but Spike twisted his body and kept moving. "Go! I'll stall her!" He yelled to the mares. Nightmare Moon scowled and gathered shadows into horrendous monsters, but Spike jumped into the middle of the hoard of creatures, turning his body to avoid attacks and slashing down with his kama. A creature charged at him, but locked eyes with Spike. "Genjutsu: Sharingan." He yelled. Spike noticed that these things were "bleeding" shadows instead of blood and quickly dispatched the paralyzed monster with a blade to the head. "It's...almost like a....dance...." Rarity said, watching his movements. "Spike! Look out!" Applejack called. "Huh?" Spike said, his eyes widening as a blast of magic struck his kama-with him barely moving his hand away thanks to his Mangekyo Sharingan's precognitive powers. The kama was obliterated, shattered into shards of metal and wood. The impact sent Spike flying, landing on his feet. "Now you're helpless....little dragon." Nightmare Moon said with a smirk on her face. Spike just stood back up, brushing off a shoulder plate and stared at her before making a strange symbol with his hand-almost looking like a church. (Hand seal: Horse) "Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!" Spike called out, before he inhaled and literally exhaled a wall of flames. Nightmare Moon cast a huge wave of magic to counteract it, and the two forces found themselves in a stalemate. Her minions, however, were turned to ash. As the two attacks cancelled each other out, smoke filled the room. "Fire Release: Great Fireball Shower!" Spike revealed himself to be in the air-surrounded by twelve gigantic fireballs, which struck the stone and shattered it-charring it at the same time. Nightmare Moon barely dodged the attacks, and jumped back just as Spike swung his gunbai. "Gunbai Fanned Wind!" The gale-force winds struck Nightmare Moon and sent the lightly armored evil princess into the wall. Spike glanced at her and frowned. "Your dance moves are stale, your steps are too narrow." He said, hefting the gunbai onto a shoulder. "Take THIS!" Nightmare Moon roared and fired a gigantic magic blast at the dragon-who had turned to the side of the room to avoid getting the mares in the crossfire. "Kamui" Spike said, as a vortex appeared around it, sending half of the blast into another dimension. However, that still left half of a magic blast hurtling towards him. Holding up the gunbai, the fan closest to the helmet seemingly....absorbed the magic?! "Why don't you take this back?" Spike taunted. "Uchiha Return!" With that the tomoes on the gunbai glowed and launched the absorbed attack at Nightmare Moon, who teleported out of the way. "The Elements of Harmony are not truly destroyed! They are still with us!" Twilight said, as the shards of the orbs started to rotate around the mares. "Finally." Spike said, jumping back to observe the Elements of Harmony. "Applejack, who asked my to trust her, represents the Element of Honesty!" Twilight said, and an orange apple-shaped gem appeared on a gold necklace on the Earth Pony mare. "Fluttershy, who calmed a manticore, represents the Element of Kindness!" A pink butterfly gem appeared on the Pegasus' necklace. "Pinkie Pie, who helped us confront our fears by laughing, represents the Element of Laughter!" A blue ballon gem appeared on the Earth Pony's necklace. "Rarity, who moved a sea serpent with a generous gift, represents the Element of Generosity." The Unicorn's tail grew back as a blue diamond-shaped gem appeared on her necklace. "Rainbow Dash, who stayed true in the face of temptation, represents the Element of Loyalty!" A red lightning bolt appeared on a necklace on the Pegasus. "You still don't have the sixth Element! The Spark didn't work!" Nightmare Moon called out. "But it did!" Twilight countered, "A different kind of spark! A spark that ignited inside of me as soon as I realized that all of you....are my friends!" When the Elements are ignited by the...spark that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth Element! The Element of...Magic!" With that, a pink spark on a tiara appeared on her head and a rainbow blasted out of the Elements and wrapped around Nightmare Moon, who shouted in defiance before being silenced. The light cleared revealing a smaller blue Alicorn laying on the ground and the Elements no longer glowing. "Well don, My Little Ponies...as well as my son." A regal voice called out, and they turned to see Princess Celestia standing in the rubble of what used to be a blocked-off doorway. Walking over, she knelt down by the other Alicorn. "Luna...for all these years I've missed you so much." The other Alicorn opened up her blue eyes and stared at Celestia. "Sister?" She called out weakly. "I failed you so badly...I failed to see the pain you were in and help you out before you succumbed to Nightmare Moon. Can you ever forgive me? Can you accept my friendship?" Celestia asked, holding a hand down to Luna. "Of..course sister..." She said weakly, grasping Celestia for support. "By the way Spike..." Celestia said and the dragon tentatively walked forward, looking uncertain, "This is your Aunt Luna. I'm sure you'll want to greet her." At those words, Spike bowed slightly. "Luna, Spike here is my blood-adopted son, blessed with an unusual combination of what he calls Yin and Yang energy he calls 'Chakra', and a unique eye trait called the Sharingan-Copy Wheel Eye. The eyes you see are it's final form: Mangekyo Sharingan: Pinwheel Copy Wheel Eye." Celestia said. "Spike, 'tis a pleasure to meet you...forgive us, but we are rather tired at the moment." Luna said before falling asleep in her sister's arms. "Twilight. I have one last task for you. I want you to stay in Ponyville and send me everything you learn about the magic of friendship in a report. Can I ask this of you?" Celestia asked. "Of course Princess!" "Spike, keep her and her friends safe." Celestia said. Spike smirked slightly and said "Of course mom." Pinkie Pie suddenly jumped in front of everypony and shouted "This calls for a party!" Hand seals > Tickets, apples, and Griffons > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, due to popular demand, Fire Release: Great Fire Destruction (a smaller version of Great Fire Annihilation) will be replaced by The Mangekyo power Amaterasu. While it only took a second to everypony else, he had been given a choice in his own mind. A choice of three of the "Mangekyo powers". In the end, he had selected Madara's Susanoo-a ultimate technique that would protect him, Amaterasu-since it was hotter than dragon-fire...and would be a good dragon deterrent, and (while technically NOT a power of Madara) Kamui-a way of teleporting using a parallel dimension. While the power technically was used by Obito Uchiha and Kakashi Hatake, Madara had once stolen an eye from Obito and used Kamui. Since Obito was also dead, the Shinigami grafted his Kamui to Spike's Mangekyo Sharingan. His peace and calm was broken when he felt something churn within his stomach and then let out a loud burp as green flames escaped his mouth and materialized into a scroll. "Twilight. It's for you!" Spike said, picking up his gunbai coughing slightly at the terrible taste left in his mouth. He opened the scroll and read out loud. "Hear ye, hear ye. Her Grand Royal Highness (cough), Princess Celestia of Equestria, is pleased to announce The Grand Galloping Gala to be held (cough) in the magnificent capital city of Canterlot, on the 21st day of, eh, yadda yadda yadda, cordially (cough) extends an invitation to Twilight Sparkle plus one guest." Silence spread across the area for a few moments before Applejack and Twilight shouted "THE GRAND GALLOPING GALA?!" As Spike was still coughing, another green flame escaped him and materialized into two golden tickets. "Oh man....I wish mom would do something about the taste." He groaned. While this was going on, Rainbow Dash had arrived and had started arguing with Applejack over who would go with Twilight. One wanted to sell her apples, the other wanted to impress the Wonderbolts. "Twilight? Get behind me." Spike said as the Pegasus and Earth Pony turned their attention to them. "Fire Release: Hiding in Ash and Dust Technique" Spike said, exhaling a gigantic cloud of ash in front of him. The two other mares tried moving through it, but jumped back as the ash actually burned them. "Geez. That was sudden." Rainbow Dash said. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Twilight ended up bumping into Pinkie Pie-who just so happened to also wanted to go to the Gala and party. "Not that it is very fun...." Spike muttered, thinking back to the times he attended at his mother's side. What once was a social gathering became a way for the Elite to flaunt their status to others. Rarity however scolded her for wanting just to party when she could go and meet the Prince Blueblood. "Unless Spike wants to go with me, of course." Spike's eye twitched "You do realize, no offence, but your reasons to go seem....vain....I mean...meeting people due to their status as royalty?" At this Rarity bit her lip and gave her best impression of the "puppy-dog eyes technique". "What do you even know about me?" Spike said, tapping his foot. While he wore armor, he only wore a black pair of pants underneath it, with the clothing stopping just above his thigh. "Umm....you're blood-adopted by Princess Celestia herself...you are the first member of the Royal Guard Special Attack Forces...and you were seen using three kinds of fire." She said, while Twilight blinked in confusion. "Three?" "So....you don't know my favorite food? My hobby? My worst fear?" Spike said, frowning. "That wasn't in Canterlot Magazine." Rarity countered and Spike slapped his forehead. "Someone in Canterlot is getting an armor-sleeved single hit....." He growled out before storming off, with Pinkie and Rarity looking in confusion. "What's an armor-sleeved single hit?" Pinkie asked. "It's a saying that basically means defeating somepony in a single blow." Twilight said, before she was confronted....by Fluttershy of all ponies. With that, Twilight's five friends started getting into an argument. When Spike returned with a small basket of hay-fries he groaned at the sight. "Seriously?! It's not even been five minutes!" With that, he grabbed onto Twilight's shoulder and shouted "Kamui!" Much to the shock and horror of the ponies around them, they were slowly sucked into a spiraling vortex, with Spike's arm being the last thing to disappear after waving at them. "What was THAT?!" Rainbow Dash said, flying around the spot they just were. "He said Kamui....it has to be the same technique he used against Nightmare Moon....just a different form of it!" Pinkie said. Inside the Golden Oaks Library, a spiral vortex open up in mid-air and two figures emerged from it. "Don't do that!" Twilight said, attempting to slap his shoulder, only for her hand to go through Spike. "Using Kamui, I teleport something or myself into another dimension. It can be a way to teleport....or I can send sections of my body into the dimension temporarily to phase through attacks." Spike explained, as he started barricading the door. "Thanks for the explanation!" A cheerful voice said, and they turned to see Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash in the main room of the library. Spike stood in front of Twilight and brandished his gunbai. "Don't you know the hatred you five are breeding?" Spike asked, "If Twilight chooses one, four are left out and angry. If she leaves herself out and chooses two, there are still three angry ponies." At this, all five of them had guilty looks on their face. "Well shoot. We were so gun-ho on going we couldn't see how un-gun-ho we were makin' ya." Applejack said, lowering her hat from her head. All five of them bowed their heads and said "We're sorry Twilight." "And that's why I've made my decision." Twilight said as Spike pulled out a quill and parchment from a compartment in his armor and started writing what Twilight said. Dear Princess Celestia, I've learned that one of the joys of friendship is sharing your blessings, but when there's not enough blessings to go around, having more than your friends can make you feel pretty awful. So, though I appreciate the invitation, I will be returning both tickets to The Grand Galloping Gala. "What?!" All the ponies said. "I can't go if my friends can't either." Twilight said, a smile on her face. Spike, out of nowhere, let out a belch of green flames. "Seriously?! Mom, I KNOW this is how you send letters, but could you do something to NOT make me burp everytime....or at least about that terrible taste!" With that, he started reading what his mom wrote out loud. "My faithful student Twilight, Why didn't you just say so in the first place?" And he held up seven tickets. "Wow. She remembered one for me the first time to." Spike said, after handing out the tickets and staring at his own. As her friends headed back to their homes with their Grand Galloping Gala tickets, Twilight couldn't help but look back at Spike. "His worst fear....." Twilight whispered to herself, "...Madara...." ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Things just seemed to keep getting more and more hectic. Applejack, while she had proven herself to be dependable, was seemingly tired constantly. It got to the point where she started falling asleep after stopping a stampede. "Girls...does Applejack seem a little tired to you?" Spike asked, writing something down in the journal he was writing about Chakra. Seeing an opportunity, Applejack quietly slunk off toward Sweet Apple Acres, however she was so out of it that she didn't notice her friends following her. Once back on the farm, Applejack literally fell asleep standing up. "Applejack! What's going on?" Twilight shouted, making Applejack jump up and turn to face them. "It's apple-buck season. A time where we Apples harvest our crops. And before you ask, My brother broke his leg and my relatives were only around for a family reunion. They have crops of their own." Applejack said, turning towards the trees. "And if you excuse me, I only have a few acres to go. I an do this....alone!" "But, you obviously need help!" Rarity said, gazing at the many trees full of apples. "It's MY job, and Ah'm gonna do it!" Applejack said, not gazing at them. "Um....Applejack?" Twilight said, making the now irritable Earth Pony turn to her friends. "You only completed a quarter of the harvesting." Spike said, a hand on her shoulder while he push just enough Chakra into her to make her slightly more alert-just enough to take in the relatively few trees. "Shucks...." Applejack said, her ears folding down, "maybe ah'm bein' a bit stubborn....I guess..." At this she swallowed. "Ah need help." "Leave it to me." Spike said, his hands clapped together with both index and middle fingers extended. "Shadow Clone Technique!" With that, about five other Spikes appeared in puffs of smoke, and all six mares had a massive blush spread across their face-Pinkie Pie literally had steam coming out of her ears. "Seriously!" Spike groaned out, "A technique for scouting and battle and the first thing the mares think of is something perverted!" Once all the trees were devoid of apples hours later, Twilight wrote a note to Princess Celestia. Dear Princess Celestia, My friend Applejack is the best friend a pony could ever have, and she's always there to help any pony. The only trouble is, when she needs help, she finds it hard to accept it, so while friendship is about giving of ourselves to friends, it's also about accepting what our friends have to offer. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// A week later, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash started a Ponyville-wide pranking spree. However, there was one victim they could not successfully pull a prank on (besides Fluttershy-who was exempt due to being so sensitive). Spike. Anytime they made an attempt, Spike would teleport away or phase through it using Kamui, or reflect it back on the pranksters using Gunbai Fanned Wind. Unbeknownst to them, Spike's sensor abilities always alerted him when they were near, and with the pranking spree it wasn't hard to know he was about to be pranked. They had even gotten Rarity using some sneezing powder on her fabrics. much to her chagrin. She had begged Spike to teach her how to avoid pranks. "Unless you are a sensor, like me, it'd be impossible to learn how to avoid pranks." Spike said, letting a bolt of lightning phase through him. However, the sight of lightning going through Spike made her faint. However, Spike's naturally improved eyesight (even without the Sharingan) noticed something flying towards them in the distance. "Do any of you know a Griffon?" Spike asked, and Rainbow Dash's eyes widened and she shouted "GILDA!" "What's a Griffon?" Pinkie Pie asked. "They are half-lion, half-eagle." Spike said, remembering some Griffon dignitaries that visited his mom. "And all awesome!" A tomboyish voice called out as the Griffon landed, revealing she was wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. "Sup." "Yeah. Gilda's my best friend from my day at Junior speedster flight camp." Rainbow Dash said and Gilda groaned. "Don't remind me...That motto was so lame." Gilda said and Spike smirked at the interaction, before glancing back at the still-unconscious Rarity and throwing her over a shoulder and carrying her to her room and setting her down before heading back outside, just in time to see Gilda and Rainbow Dash fly off-with Pinkie Pie following them. "Hmm...." Spike said, Sharingan activating before he leaped to the rooftops and jumped from roof-to-roof. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Don't you know how to take get lost for an answer? Dash doesn't need to hang with a dweeb like you now that I'm around. You're dorkin' up the skies Stinkie Pie, so make like a bee and BUZZ OFF." Gilda said, before popping the ballons Pinkie was using to fly while they were hundreds of hooves off the ground. As Pinkie was falling, a purple and gold blur suddenly leaped up and caught her before landing safely. Spike landed next to Twilight-who he had brought with him. "Gilda the Griffon!" Spike shouted out, making both Gilda and Rainbow Dash turn to him. "You just nearly killed a citizen of Equestria! Technically I could arrest you!" "Wait...WHAT?!" Rainbow Dash screamed, "That's not right...is it?" "She'd land." Gilda grumbled under her breath. "This......this isn't how I though y old friends would treat my new friends...." Rainbow Dash said suddenly sounding unsure of yourself. "Now....will you land so we can resolve this issue peacefully, or do I have to make you dance?" Spike said, his Sharingan morphing to the Mangekyo Sharingan. "Whatever. I'd like to see you try, pink-eye." Gilda said, crossing her arms. "Amaterasu!" Spike called, and his left Mangekyo started spinning. Before any of them could react, black flames erupted on the mountain close to Gilda. "Last warning. I won't miss again." Spike said, hopping up to the top of a tree and glaring at her. Gilda's eyes darted nervously between Spike and the black flames. "W-Whatever...I....I don't need to hang out with you losers....I'm leaving" Gilda said, before flying off. "Wow...I had no idea." Rainbow Dash said, staring at where she once was. "Hold on. I've got to write an incident report for mom....Gilda won't escape justice in Griffon lands. You'll have to write your own report Twilight....sorry. Spike said, writing something down. With that, Twilight started to narrate as she wrote. Dear Princess Celestia, Today I learned that it's hard to accept when somepony you like wants to spend time with sompony who's not so nice. Though it's impossible to control who your friends hang out with, it is possible to control your own behavior. Just continue to be a good friend. In the end, the difference between a false friend and one who's true will surely come to light. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle After Spike sent off the letter and incident report, he glared at the flames of Amaterasu as he blinked and they extinguished. Afterwards, he closed his eyes and when he opened them, the Sharingan had been deactivated. "That tears it....starting tomorrow....I will be teaching you six mares...." Spike said, walking down the side of the tree to the ground. "Teaching us...what?" Twilight asked, excitement about learning something new evident in her voice. "How to....dance...the art of battle....and...just maybe..." Spike said, turning to face Canterlot Castle, "The art of weaponry..." > Training the mares, facing your fears > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spike's Technique list *Attack Prevention Technique *Amaterasu * Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation *Fire Release: Great Fireball Shower *Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique *Fire Release: Hiding in Ash and Dust Technique *Genjutsu: Sharingan *Gunbai Barrier Technique *Gunbai Fanned Wind *Kamui *Sensing *Shadow Clone Technique *Susanoo *Uchiha Return And the only technique that Madara didn't know *Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique Anyways.....let's see what the viewers said. They wanted something for Twilight that would be difficult to master, such as a staff....well, I could use a crystal as a blade on one end... Fluttershy's should be non-lethal....accepted...however....I think a whip would be a bit much. I mean....can you see Fluttershy using a whip at a "closer" range than my planned item? Though it may work in combination with my originally planned item.... Senbon Needles. Senbon are metal needles with a point at both ends. They often serve a medical purpose, being used to strike acupuncture points. They have little killing power, but can be thrown with great accuracy. A user with proper medical knowledge however, can effectively use senbon in battle to incapacitate or even kill their target should they aim for vital spots. Applejack I heard a couple people say gauntlets...and, well, I have to agree with them. Being an Earth Pony, her main power lies in strength...that would allow her to utilize it. The only thing I heard at first for Rarity was a rapier...but then someone suggested something amazing. A tessen. A bladed hand-fan. That is utterly.....BRILLIANT! Pinkie Pie I kept hearing unconventional things like "hammers". And well....it's Pinkie Pie. Since it is an unconventional weapon (the only real recorded case I remember hearing about a hammer as a weapon was with the Norse God Thor)....It fits Pinkie to a T. Rainbow Dash is also a problem. The viewers want something "cool" and fast. One idea is a Chukoto-a Japanese straight one-edged sword. Sasuke Uchiha uses one and it has been been shown to be able to be swung at fast speeds. Other options include spears and daggers. Until there is a definate "yes" among the fans, Rainbow Dash has not been "fitted" to a weapon. Also, here is the Chukoto. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// A week after the "Griffon incident", Spike had been training the six mares daily. Six mares stood across an open field from a gold-armored dragon. The dragon was tall-slightly taller than the tallest mare, had emerald green eyes with cat-like pupils, and wielded a metal war fan called a gunbai. Weapons of many sorts were laid on each side of the field. There were fans, senbon needles, whips, shuriken, kunai, swords, and even a staff with a blade at one end composed of magically-reinforced purple crystals. The only mare with an object in her hands was an orange one with a blonde mane and tail. She wore blue jeans and a baggy red-and-white plaid shirt. The objects on her hands were gauntlets with spikes protruding from the knuckles and metal plates covering her arms, backs of her hands, and fingers. "That's it! He's going down in ten seconds flat!" A cyan mare in training clothes yelled, her rainbow-colored mane and tail hovering by the gusts of wind her wings caused, before she charged straight at the dragon. "Rainbow Dash!" A lilac Unicorn mare called out before she and the other four (excluding the orange Earth Pony) mares ran to the sidelines to grab random objects. The lilac Unicorn came back holding the staff, while the butterscoth Pegasus with a pink mane and tail strapped a container of senbon needles to her right leg and held a long rose-patterned whip in her left hand. The white Unicorn grabbed an elegant, one-handed fan with ornate golden leaf patterns and blades protruding from the top, while the pink Earth Pony grabbed...a giant pink hammer... The cyan Pegasus had now reached the dragon and swung a punch with her right hand, only to find it caught in the dragon's left hand, and before she could react, the side of the gunbai had stuck her right side and sent her flying back to the other mares. "Was the time I spent trying to teach you teamwork all for nothing?" The dragon asked, before a whistling sound was heard and he raised the side of the gunbai, stopping the senbon needles in midair. With a swing, a gust of wind from the gunbai blasted the needles back at the mares, but they stopped short, landing on the ground in front of them. A smirk came upon the dragon's face as he saw all six mares charging. The first to reach him was the pink pony, who swung the hammer but fount it stopped short by the gunbai and then a powerful kick to the pony's midsection sent her skidding back. A lilac magical blast came out of nowhere, but the dragon performed a backflip and skidded to a stop, his eyes closed. "Congratulations..." He said, opening his eyes revealing red irises around a now-round pupil and three raindrop-shaped tomoes around the pupil. "You've forced me to activate the Sharingan. Perhaps the lesson on teamwork hasn't been wasted..." The white Unicorn mare, orange Earth Pony, and butterscotch Pegasus attacked in tandem. The dragon twisted and weaved to avoid the strikes from the Earth Pony's gauntlets. As he was focusing his attention to the Earth Pony, a whip wrapped around his left arm and tugged him towards the bladed fan of the white Unicorn as she swung it at his head, her eyes widening in horror as she couldn't see how he'd escape. His eyes morphed as the tomoe gained a hole in each of them and their longer ends shifted and connected to each other. A powerful blast emerged from his location, sending up smoke, but the mares held their ground, with the white unicorn being held in place by the Orange Earth Pony. The bladed fan had struck....... A large rib-cage covered in blue flames that surrounded the dragon. "Once again you've reached a milestone....You've forced me to use the initial form of the Susanoo." The dragon said, as the white Unicorn and orange Earth Pony were then paralyzed from making eye contact with the dragon. "But...." In a blur of speed, the mares were stuck and went flying. "Your moves are still too wide." ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// The six mares sat bruised and battered, but otherwise unharmed. "Now....can you tell me what you did wrong?" The dragon asked, pacing in front of them. "We let Rainbow Dash charge by herself first." the Butterscotch Pegasus quietly said, "Um....if you don't mind...that is..." "Exactly. While you did cover it up by grabbing your supplies caused by the opening, except for some senbon needles, nopony went to help until she was blasted back at you. Some ponies wont stop at just knocking you back injured. What if....instead of a gunbai, I had used a kama? No...wait...that was destroyed. A kunai?" At this the defiant look on the cyan mare faded into a thoughtful one as she rubbed her bruised side. "Also, Applejack and Rarity, while successful in their collaboration with Fluttershy, looked into my Mangekyo Sharingan. This is a big 'don't do' when it comes to facing anything with special eye powers. For instance...what if instead of me, you had been facing cockatrices? I heard back in his prime, Discord could hypnotize ponies with a glance, just like my Genjutsu: Sharingan." Spike said, turning to face them. Seeing their utterly defeated looks, his face softened. "I'm not doing this to be harsh." Spike said, as the mares looked up, "I'm doing this to keep all of you safe. I'm sixteen, and I started training when I was six, and I am still learning....if I want to get anywhere close to his level." Spike said, growling out the word his. Only Twilight had a look of understanding at who Spike was mentioning, as the other five mares had looks of utter confusion. "However, my growth threw off my balance, and I've been re-learning my claw-to-hoof combat.......so in all actuality I'm training along side all of you." Spike said. "Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie...you have an abundant amount of Yang-physical energy. While I know Fluttershy's shyness will probably prevent her from going right up to an opponent...that doesn't mean she can't be useful. With that whip and those senbon, she can easily disable or trip up foes from a distance....by the way Fluttershy...how do you know how to use senbon?" Spike's train of thought was broken when that question came to his head. "I...um...sometimes use.....accupuncture....on my...animal friends when they are in pain....excuse me..." She replied, turning her gaze away from everypony. "Okay....as I was saying, you four have a lot of Yang energy....but you shouldn't become over-reliant on it. There are many stamina-freaks out in the world. Try to get the most out of your movements while exerting as little energy as possible." Spike said, "And it may help you out in other endeavors." "Rarity and Twilight have the opposite problem. They have an overabundance of Yin-Spiritual Energy. However, only Twilight can seemingly use it in battle. Rarity, this doesn't mean your magic is useless. I've seen you move multiple fabrics at the same time. Potentially, you can also use your magic to grab onto a foe's limbs or even extend the range of your fan's blades." Spike said. "Wait." Rainbow Dash asked, standing up, "why are you criticizing us? We nearly got you!" "With me not using most of my techniques." Spike replied and Rainbow Dash sat down. "Even my least lethal Fire-Release Technique, while not as hot as Dragon-Fire, can still burn any of you to ashes if struck. Also, I've never used my Amaterasu or Kamui...in fact, due to your statement Rainbow Dash, tomorrow I will use the Kamui...let's see if you can 'get me' then!" At this declaration all the other mares glared at the cyan Pegasus. "In fact" Spike continued, "Until today, I've only used sensing, Genjutsu: Sharingan, and Gunbai Fanned Wind as well as my claw-to-hoof combat. Basically, I've handicapped myself each training session. Tomorrow, I will add yet another notch to the difficulty and add my Gunbai Barrier Technique." "Wait. Gunbai Barrier Technique?" Twilight asked, and Spike nodded. "Twilight, create the largest spear you can make." Spike said and Twilight conjured up a spear twice his length and nearly half his height before launching it at him. Spike slammed the Gunbai into the ground, held the handle and called out "Gunbai Barrier Technique!" before a wall of blue energy formed a semi-circle about twenty-hoofs high and a semi-circle around him twenty-hoofs long in front of the gunbai. The spear struck the barrier and jammed in as if it hit a solid wall, much to the ponies amazement. Spike let the energy stop and the spear fell harmlessly to the ground as he picked up his gunbai and strapped it to his back. "Now. Rest up. Take the rest of the day to reflect and think up new strategies." Spike said, as they headed back to Ponyville. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Much to his ire, Twilight's version of "relaxing" was "studying" and "practicing". "Twilight....you do know you need to rest your magic after exerting it....right? Spike asked, as he suddenly found himself with a large black mustache. "Many Unicorns only have a limited amount of magic, tied with their talent. But...what if their talent is magic?" She asked, going over a checklist, "That makes twenty-five spells." "....You're not listening, are you?......" Spike asked. Just as she was about to continue with her tirade, a pair of Unicorn Colts-Snips and Snails-burst into the library. "Twilight, you've gotta check this out. There's a new Unicorn in town!" Snips said. "Yeah, and they say she has more magical prowess than any other Unicorn!" Snails added. "Wait...that's not right. How can she have more magic than a pony whose special talent is magic?" Spike asked, ripping the mustache off his face, "Ahhhahaaa! That stings!" He groaned out, holding his face. Seeing Twilight's concerned face and the colt's eager faces he groaned. "I'm not interfering in this one." He said as Twilight walked out to investigate. Leaving Spike alone with his thoughts. Giving a soft sigh, he felt his fears sneaking up through his body, and he quickly tried to push them down and calm his nerves. He had always said his worst fear was "Madara"...but never really went into depth about it-not even to his mother. His fear wasn't just Madara coming back.....ever since he received the same kind of powers Madara had....he feared..... Becoming the very same kind of person Madara was. A person who would betray his friends if they got in his way. To quell his fear, he tried acting aloof....trying to create distance between the ponies around him...and yet....he still had friends. "You won't escape me that easily." A silky, yet sinister voice said, and Spike saw Madara standing in the mirror where his reflection should be. "I am nothing like you! You're dead! I saw the Shinigami take your soul!" Spike said, glaring at his reflection. "And yet...we are very much alike. Oh you poor naive fool. You don't get it, do you?.....you have MY powers....in a way...I live on!" Madara said, "You may not be me reborn, but....you are still MY heir...." With that the image of Madara faded and was replaced by a fearful looking Spike's. "I...am NOT Madara!" Spike said, moving to lean against the wall, "This is just my stress talking..." Even the wind seemed to mock him, carrying his voice along with it. "But you are afraid....and through that fear....I live on....my name...still...has power." "I swear Madara....if you show your face here on Equestria ever again...I'll be ready....to destroy you!" Spike shouted, as he struck the wall with his fist and left a hole in it and his eyes shifted to the Mangekyo Sharingan...... The same Mangekyo Sharingan that Madara once had..... > "Who is Madara?" > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spike's Technique list *Amaterasu *Fire Release: Dragon Flame Release Song Technique *Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation *Fire Release: Great Fireball Shower *Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique *Fire Release: Hiding in Ash and Dust Technique *Genjutsu: Sharingan *Gunbai Barrier Technique *Gunbai Fanned Wind *Kamui *Sensing *Shadow Clone Technique *Susanoo *Uchiha Return And the only techniques that Madara didn't know *Fire Release: Blast Wave Wild Dance *Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique Months had passed relatively normally...or as normally as Parasprite invasions, sleepovers, actually ending winter, and a competition getting the best of Applejack and Rainbow Dash could be. Spike was divided about Winter Wrap Up. He knew all about it having grown up with Princess Celestia. Also, Rainbow Dash and Applejack's rivalry both amused and irritated him. The amusing part was how quickly it could spring up and end, and the irritating part was when it would spring up during teamwork exercises. Madara's world was like the Everfree Forest, the weather occurred naturally....without anyone controlling it. Sorting through Madara's memories, Spike was desperately trying to find something to separate him from Madara....and he found it. Hashirama Senju's Will of Fire. It was simple in it's basis. "The entire village is like a large family unit and every Konoha shinobi with the Will of Fire loves, believes, cherishes, and fights to protect the village, as previous generations had done before them." Much to Spike's shock, Madara hadn't always been the kind of person he knew. Madara was kind once....and had been friends with his greatest enemy: Hashirama Senju. As children growing up in a time of war, they had stumbled across each other, helped each other train...and built up a strong friendship and a similar dream. A village made up of multiple clans living as allies, where the young children would be protected from the harsh reality known as "War." Madara swore that Hashirama would always be his enemy when the Senju and Uchiha Clans used their friendship to try and ambush each other using Madara and Hashirama.....something they warned each other about. For the first time in generations, an Uchiha activated the Sharingan...as Madara's grief about his ended friendship unlocked the legendary Eye Technique of the Uchiha Clan. The very same person that Madara wanted to protect above all else-his little brother Izuna-also activated the Sharingan...and both became the first ones in recent history to activate the Mangekyo Sharingan. Each time the Uchiha and Senju clashed in battle, Hashirama would beg his old friend to end the conflict and help him build their dream village. Every time, Madara would refuse, and yet would be forced to retreat. Then...it happened. Izuna Uchiha was killed by Tobirama Senju-Hashirama's brother. Madara implanted Izuna's Mangekyo Sharingan into his own-activating the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and the battles became harsher until, one day, Madara was beaten to the point where he could not flee, and the Uchiha Clan had grown tired of the fighting that threatened to destroy both clans. Hashirama begged his friend once again to help him build the village, and Madara agreed..... Only if Hashirama would kill himself or Tobirama-to feel the pain Madara felt. Much to his shock, Hashirama told Tobirama not to hate the Uchiha clan and to treat them as equals before he moved a kunai to take his own life. This attempt was stopped by Madara himself, having seen that Hashirama was true in his plea. The village was named the very same thing Madara had thought up: Konohagakure: The Village Hidden in the Leaves. Hashirama even said that Madara should become the first leader of the village, but the Uchiha and Senju elected Hashirama. However, Hashirama made Madara his most trusted adviser. After a while, Madara left, letting himself fall into the Uchiha Clan's "Curse of Hatred", and swearing revenge on the very village he helped build. These memories left Spike utterly confused. Madara wasn't always...evil? Madara could be....beaten? It was then Spike made a silent promise to himself. While Madara embraced the Uchiha Clan's "Curse of Hatred", Spike would follow Hashirama's Will of Fire....something very close to what almost everypony-his adoptive mother included-believed in. Yet...Spike felt a conflict within himself, as the Will of Fire and Curse of Hatred swirled within him. While his daily belief followed the Will of Fire...... The mere thought of Madara Uchiha made hatred flow throughout his body. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// The six mares he was training had noticed a change, as Spike started making jokes and sarcastic remarks...and yet...he still seemed on edge. Yesterday, Spike had actually made a mistake. Not in training, mind you, but in voice. He let Madara Uchiha's name slip out during a speech. Realizing his error, he had abruptly ended the lesson and leaped off to his room in the Golden Oaks Library basement. Leaving the five other mares besides Twilight Sparkle asking one question. "Who was Madara Uchiha?" When they arrived to the library, they found the basement door locked, but they heard calming, yet sorrowful violin music rising up from within it. The song, well it defiantly pulled on everypony's heartstrings. "I remember a simpler time." Twilight said, "Before Madara appeared. Spike was so cheerful than. Then....Madara happened....what Madara put Spike through....it definitely left emotional scars..." "You know Madara?" Pinkie Pie asked. "It's not my tale to tell...but...what I can tell...Madara's power....it felt like evil incarnate." Twilight said, shivering slightly, "In fact...I felt as helpless as Pinkie was of stopping her fall after that Griffon popped her balloons...that is what Spike, myself, and Princess Celestia felt facing him." At this silence fell over the group. Anything that made anypony fighting alongside with Princess Celestia feel helpless was something nopony wanted to face. "So...this training?..." Rainbow Dash asked. "He's training us to keep us safe, he said." Rarity said. "Oh I hope so..." Fluttershy said. "So...you think there is an alternative motive?" Pinkie asked, shaking her mane back to its regular poofy look. "As much as I hope I'm wrong....I believe Spike-even after watching Madara die....believes he will return." Twilight said. "Well, I don't think he has anything to worry about." Rainbow Dash said, "I mean, ever since he started using that Kamui technique of his, we can't even make a scratch on him! Madara has no chance!" Spike had heard everything-having pushed chakra to his hearing, but stopped the chakra flow, sighed sadly and set the violin down next to him. Unbeknownst to him, Twilight had used her magic to unlock the door, and the six mares were on their way down to him. He glanced at his shadow, and saw the silhouette of Madara alongside his shadow. "You won't leave me alone, will you." Spike asked to nopony in particular. "Oh whatever do you mean?" Madara's voice echoed through the wind. "Madara.....I saw the Shinigami drag your soul to the afterlife. How are you still bothering me?" Spike said, standing up and putting his right hand to the handle of the gunbai. "I still live as long as you fear my power. As long as my name has power, I will still appear." "You won't win Madara. I follow Hashirama's Will of Fire....I am fully willing to die to protect everypony precious to me." Spike said, as he heard a loud gasp behind him and he leaped up and held his gunbai out.... To see the six mares standing behind him with eyes widened in horror. They had arrived in time to hear Spike's declaration that he was willing to sacrifice himself for their safety. A deep chuckling was heard and the shadow shaped like Madara rose along the wall and color filled it. The ponies were looking at someone who haunted Spike's dreams, and would occasionally appear in Twilight AND Celestia's worst nightmares. The figure had black pants identical to Spike's, and a black long-sleeve shirt that stopped at his forearms. His armor was identical in shape to Spike's, except the fact that it was blood red and had the symbol of the Uchiha Clan where Spike's Royal Guard Special Attack Forces Symbols were. The figure's skin was peach colored and his eyes were red-like Spike's and had a similar pattern on it...with one major difference. Three black bars protruding from it. The figure's hair was black, spiky and had strands covering his right eye and the hair fell to the middle of his back. Purple gloves covered his hands and the ponies saw and all-too-familiar gunbai attached to his back. "The Will of Fire....Hashirama's old philosophy." The figure spoke...before giving a small laugh. "How...quaint." "Madara...." Spike growled out, "Whatever you're planning. I will stop it." "You and I will fight again one day....and when that day comes....I will take pleasure of making you feel true despair before ending your life." "You will fail in that regard, Madara." Twilight said, pulling her staff in front of her as the other mares brandished their weapons as well. "Spikey here has us six to back him up." Rarity said, unfolding her tessen. "And with the Elements of Harmony, your defeat is certain." Rainbow Dash said, her chokoto strapped to her belt being lifted slightly while she brandished a kama with her left hand. "And then we'll have a party!" Pinkie Pie shouted, as confetti suddenly erupted from...everywhere. "...Yes...we will stop you..." Fluttershy's quiet voice barely called out. With that, Madara gave a soft chuckle. "What's so funny?" Applejack asked. "The fact you think you can stop....me!" Madara said, "Until your friend is able to overcome his fear of me, my name has power and, in a way, I live on. As long as despair and hatred exist, I grow stronger." With that, the image of Madara seemingly turned to ash and blew away in the wind. "I have defeated death once....I will again." An awkward silence filled the room as the dragon and ponies shuffled, putting away their weapons and tools. "So....That's Madara Uchiha?" Applejack asked. "My...worst fear." Spike said, as all eyes turned to him. "Is not just him returning....it's becoming exactly like him." "Spike...you've definitely got nothing to worry about there." Twilight said. "....What?" He asked, turning his Mangekyo Sharingan (which he unknowingly activated when staring at Madara) to Twilight. "She's right. Madara's goal-whatever they are-are based solely on himself. You've proven yourself different. You're helping us prepare for him.....and you said yourself that you are..." Rarity's train of thought suddenly trailed off as she fell silent. "...willing to die for us...." For some reason, Fluttershy's voice sounded quieter than normal. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// The next day, Rarity had gotten an order from the Sapphire Shores; The Pony of Pop. As...awkward....as it was (especially after Spike's declaration), she needed Spike's help to dig out the gems. "So.....Sapphire Shores?" Spike asked as they walked to an empty, grass-less land and Rarity's horn started glowing. A cart was being pulled behind Spike, who used it like a training device. "...Yep. It will defiantly take a lot of gems to complete the order. Far more than I can dig out by myself." Rarity said, not able to bring herself to look into his eyes. "So....Madara has it out for you, huh?" "Madara tried to posses me-taking over my body while destroying my soul-to revive himself. He was stopped and part of his powers were passed onto me." Spike said, flashing the Sharingan, "Madara...I don't think he took that well." "Just to revive himself?" Rarity asked, marking an "X" in the dirt with her magic. "He wanted a male body-just like he was, and dragons were legends where he was from...beasts of power and fire....with that...he definitely believed he would succeed in his goal." Spike added, swinging his tail and shattering the ground-revealing the gems within it. "His...goal?" Rarity asked. "It's a curse that came with the powers-having Madara's memories in order to properly use the techniques I know." At those words, Rarity couldn't suppress a shudder, "He wanted to use the moon to cast an illusion over his entire world...and rule as a God..." After a couple hours of relative silence-other than digging up and putting away gems, Spike's sensing technique alerted him to something. "Rarity....I'm picking up something hostile....I will put the gems in the Kamui dimension..when I do....run!" Spike said, eyes morphing to the Mangekyo Sharingan. "KAMUI!" As the cart of gems vanished in a vortex, Rarity took off towards Ponyville as a couple of figures dropped down in front of Spike. The creatures had tough, steel-colored skin and stood on two legs, with mace-like tails and protruding teeth and bulldog-like faces. The wore dark jeans and an open, ripped jacket and had yellow eyes. "So...you want to dance?" Spike asked, crossing his arms. "We Diamond Dogs..." One grunted out, "Treasure hunters." "Pony know where treasure is..." The other growled, and Spike's eyes widened. "Rarity....don't touch a hair on her head or else...." He growled out. "Ahh! Dirt! Spike! HEEEELLLP!!!!" Rarity's voice echoed before it fell silent. "Or else what?" The first dog asked, snickering. "AMATERASU!" With that shout, a pillar of black flames erupted next to the two dogs, forcing them to jump into a hole in the ground. "Hmph." Spike grunted out, glaring at the holes, he leaped at one, but found his progress suddenly impeded by solid rock plugging up the hole. Each attempt ended the same way until the entire system of holes were plugged up. Spike glanced at the black flames his Mangekyo Sharingan conjured before they extinguished when his left Mangekyo Sharingan spun. "Hard way it is then." Spike said, his body suddenly curving and being sucked into a vortex. Inside Carousel Boutique, a vortex appeared before a cart of gems was pushed into the room with Spike's head popping out of the vortex, before going back into the vortex-which disappeared. A young Unicorn filly with green eyes and a purple-and-pink mane had witness the entire thing with wide eyes before uttering. "That....was.....AWESOME! If he teaches us, me and the girls will get our Cutie-Marks in no time!" A vortex appeared in an underground tunnel and Spike jumped down from it. "Now...she should be down here somewhere....which tunnel should I take?" He asked, brushing off his armor. When nothing showed up immediately, he closed his eyes and started using his sensing technique. Having found the location they were all staying, he opened his Mangekyo Sharingan and pulled his gunbai off his back. With that he started running down a tunnel while his eyes darted from shadow to shadow, scanning for danger. As he got farther down the tunnel, he heard the sound of Rarity crying. "For once I am grateful I haven't broken her out of that habit yet." He said, as his eyes saw the Diamond Dogs with Rarity having a shoulder strap on her attached to a cart of gems. "Glowing red eyes!" A dog shouted, "Black fire dragon coming!" "Unleash the hounds!" Another shouted, as multiple dogs charged into the tunnel. "Oh...looks like I have a few dance partners...try to not end it quickly." Spike said, "Gunbai Fanned Wind!" With that, a blast of wind scattered a group of Diamond Dogs like bowling pins. "Sorry. Care to try again?" Spike said, placing the gunbai on his back. A dog swiped at him with his claws, but Spike ducked before phasing into the ground using Kamui. "What?" One Diamond Dog asked. "He go through ground like water!" Another shouted. "Very astute...I'm sure you needed to use your whole brain to figure that out." Spike's voice called out from behind them. The dogs he had blasted with "Gunbai Fanned Wind" had gotten back up and tried sneaking up on him, only for Spike to phase into the wall of the tunnel. Phasing out behind a dog, he gripped onto a Diamond Dog's shoulder before the Kamui vortex appeared in front of him-going into his right eye. With a yelp, the dog was pulled into the dimension. This got the other dogs to back up in terror. "Now...will you let me bring my friend back or do we have to dance more." Spike said. "We outnumber dragon!" A dog shouted, before they all charged at once. "Well, for not having brains they sure are persistent." Spike said, turning his body towards the left and grabbing the Diamond Dog fist that attempted to strike him and throwing him back out to the room Rarity was being held in. "Stay boy." Spike said, making all the dogs growl. "Didn't you hear me?" He asked, as he phased into the ground. "I said STAY!" With that Spike appeared behind another dog and sucked him into the Kamui. "I'll ask one more time. Are you going to take me to Rarity or do I have to suck you all into the Kamui?" Spike asked, right Mangekyo Sharingan spinning. "We...we take you to pony." A diamond dog said, cowering before the spinning red eye. "Boss...dragon here for pony!" He called as they headed into the room. "Take her! Take her! Make it stop!" The tallest Diamond Dog yelled, covering his ears. "Wait. What?" Spike asked, he half had expected another fight. "She so picky." A dog said. "And critical" Another said. Rarity pulled off the harness when she heard that and looked up to see Spike. "Why Spikey, you're just in time to assist me in taking these home!" Rarity said, pointing to three mine-carts full of gems. "Hold up." Spike said, before the Kamui vortex appeared in front of him and the two Diamond Dogs fell out of it. "Well" Spike said, holding onto Rarity's left shoulder, "I guess beggars can't be choosers....KAMUI! And with that the dragon, Unicorn mare, and the mine-carts vanished into the vortex. Inside the Carousel Boutique another vortex opened up with three gem-filled mine-carts dropping out of it before a white Unicorn Mare and a Dragon in gold armor emerged from it before the vortex closed. "Well....that was...interesting..." Rarity said. "That dimension sure has a lot of....squares and nothingness...I must say, you must let me work a little charm on it sometime!" "The dimension is used to protect myself from attack and to quickly move anywhere in the world." Spike said. "....Anywhere?!" Rarity shouted. "Oh yes. I used to sneak to Manehatten to grab an occasional carrot dog." Spike said, rolling his shoulder. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Later on. the two had reunited with their friends and had told their sides of the tale. "Hold up." Twilight said, "I learned something from this, I'm going to write a friendship report to Princess Celestia. Spike, can you send it when I'm done?" Spike nodded and gazed out at the setting sun. "Well, I must be off." Rarity said, standing up, "I really have to get started on the order Sapphire Shores put it. Spikey, I'll be over with the leftover gems when I'm done." "Leftover gems?" Pinkie Pie asked. "We dragons eat gems...their very flavorful and we don't hurt our teeth biting them to pieces...but...I wouldn't recommend non-dragons trying it." Spike said, just as Pinkie bit into a small ruby that Spike had near him. > Susanoo and strife > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please forgive my absence. I've been very busy in school lately. Just came to me, I WILL be slightly weakening Madara when he fights alongside Discord...but it's a good thing to do. If I didn't weaken Madara, the story would end in the death of the Mane 6, Princesses, and Spike before the true depth of the story could begin. Just watch below! As predicted, the mares could no longer land a blow on Spike since he started using Kamui, much to their annoyance. "So who this Bloomberg character we're taking to Appleloosa?" Spike asked, leaning against a tree with his emerald eyes staring at Applejack. "Bloomberg's an apple tree we're taking to my cousin Braeburn for the apple orchard." Applejack said, and Spike's eyes widened. "You...named a tree?" He asked incredulously? "Did you name all of your trees?" "Not..all of them." She replied, looking away. Spike then activated his Mangekyo Sharingan and walked over to the apple farmer. "Where is it. I'm not risking anything happening." "It's right there." Applejack said, pointing at a young tree. "Kamui" Spike said, as the tree was sucked into a vortex. "HEY! Careful!" Applejack said as Rainbow Dash snickered at Applejack's reaction. "Maybe Spike could be a little more cautious with the tree...if he doesn't mind." Fluttershy quietly said. "By the way, who was that dreadful varmint...Madara you said he was?" Applejack asked, after standing in stunned silence about the sudden teleportation of Bloomberg. "He is...a warrior who cares for nothing but himself." Spike said, making the six mares look at him. "He was...killed in battle....and then did everything he could to cheat death. Even....trying to be reborn in my body." All of them shivered at the thought. "His attempt failed, and some of his power was passed to me. Including these eyes." Spike finished, clenching his fist. "Those eyes?" Rarity asked, shivering as the red eyes of the Mangekyo Sharingan stared at her. "These eyes are now mine genetically, but...they come at a cost. I will never forget what these eyes have seen...what they've done. The many slaughtered by Madara as if they were mere insects." Spike said, staring at his hands. "The near destruction of the world he lived in because of his actions in his quest for rule over all." Before any of them could talk, there was a powerful feeling of being sucked into a vacuum and they suddenly found themselves in a black world with a tree and white rectangles serving as the ground. There was evidence of battles here, with blood spots in random locations, causing the mares to shiver. "The blood of Obito Uchiha and Kakashi Hatake, teammates turned enemies due to Madara's manipulations." Spike said reappearing behind the mares, making Fluttershy jump in fright. "Madara turned friends into enemies?" Twilight asked. "Without a care as long as his plan came to fruition." Spike said, picking up the tree after making a few Shadow Clones. "Spike. Quick question? How many mares could you handle using that clone ability?" Pinkie Pie asked, making all of the other mares blush heavily. "Really?" Spike asked in an irritated voice, turning his gaze to Pinkie Pie and walking over to her, staring into her eyes. "OH! Does you standing this close to me mean you like me? But I don't think I could handle all..." Anything she was about to say was cut off when Spike called out. "Genjutsu: Sharingan." And Pinkie found her body paralyzed. "Someone please pick her up." Spike said before Twilight picked up the pink mare using her magic. "There have been reports to mom that there have been hostilities between the Appleoosians and the local Buffalo." Spike said, "Which is why I'm not risking Bloomberg. The truly troublesome thing is that both sides have valid reasons for the conflict. The buffalo have been stampeding on that land for years before the Appleoosians settled and the trees block their stampede route. The Appleoosians however need those trees to live. I'm going to interfere and...if I have to...force them to to make a peace treaty." The mares blinked and found themselves, and the tree, standing in a dusty desert town in front of a colt in a old cowboy getup with a brown vest and cowboy hat. He had yellow fur with an orange/yellow mane and tail. The sounds of yelling and buffalo's letting out loud cries of rage was heard as ponies hiding behind blockades were throwing apple pies at them. "I'm glad to see you cousin." The stallion said, who had to be Braeburn, "I wish it was at a better time. The buffalo finally declared war on Appleloosa." Spike said nothing, just growling at the scene before he leaped between the charging buffalo and ponies. "A dragon?" The buffalo chief shouted. Spike made a symbol and the rib cage covered in blue flames appeared around him, before the flames turned purple and shot high into the air. The rib cage and Spike vanished from view within the purple flames, which formed the head, neck, arms, and torso of a giant wingless dragon. Every scale was visible and was square shaped, its ear fins were more square-shaped than Spikes. It had spines shaped like Spike's but it had four spikes protruding from its head: two on each side. It wore a samurai-like chest-plate and its glowing green eyes glared at everything and nothing at the same time. Finally, a sword created out of purple flames ignited in its left hand. (Basically the "dragon" behind Spike in the title image.) "Whoa! What is that thing?!" Rainbow Dash asked, as the other ponies were blinking in awe and even the buffalo were trembling. "Susanoo" Spike's voice carried over the open plain. "You mean...that defensive technique that Spike called Susanoo in our training...WASN'T its complete form?" Twilight asked, staring at the ethereal dragon in fear and awe, "Is...is this even it's complete form?" "He...he could have been creaming us this whole time in training using only this technique!" Applejack said, "He...he was toyin' with us!" "For a reason." Fluttershy's voice sounded even smaller while she stared at the Susanoo. "He weakened himself in order to have us improve." "Ponies of Appleloosa, Buffalos of the wild plains. Stand down or be destroyed." Spike's voice echoed from the Susanoo. "What IS that thing?!" A pony shouted while Braeburn dropped to his knees at the flaming, ethereal dragon. A pony behind him actually fainted. "A dragon God?" A buffalo whispered as murmurs arose from the tribe. "Maybe its a dragon faking god-like power?" Another suggested. "Fire Release: Blast Wave Wild Dance" Spike called out before a vortex of fire surrounded Susanoo, making it appear like it was inside a tornado of fire. "Never mind." The buffalo that suggested that Spike was 'faking' god-like power meekly stepped back. Spike let the flaming vortex and Susanno collapse and gazed upon both battling parties with apathetic, Mangekyo Sharingan eyes. "Do I have your attention now?" Spike asked, and both the buffalo chief and Braeburn wordlessly nodded. "Good. Now I'll be back in a few seconds." Spike said, vanishing in the vortex of Kamui. To his word, a few seconds later, Spike reappeared in a vortex; along with Princess Luna and Princess Celestia. "Good. I've brought mediators for the peace meeting." Spike said, turning his back to the group and walking off and gazing at the dusty plains. "Spike? Was THAT the complete Susanoo." Rainbow Dash asked as she and the other "Mane 6" walked up to him as he gazed at the peace talks below. "No. As imposing as it is, that isn't it's full form. I will not be using that form unless it is absolutely necessary." Spike said, glancing at the mares with the Mangekyo Sharingan. Fluttershy's eyes widened in horror at the thought of the complete Susanno being scarier than that was. Spike frowned at Fluttershy's fear and turned his head away, deactivating the Sharingan. Tentatively, Applejack stepped forwards. "Spike...Ah just want to say thank you...you not only helped us take our tree to Appleoosa, but stopped a war and prevented any harm to the tree." With that she threw her arms around him. 'This is....Nice...' Spike thought. 'I don't recall Madara ever getting a hug....or even wanting one.' A small smile spread across his face. Canterlot gardens Inside a statue, a strange creature was awakened; but still trapped. In front of his eyes, a man with gleaming red eyes in red armor appeared in his vision. "Are you Discord, spirit of Chaos?" The man asked in a stern, no-nonsense tone. "Why did you awaken me if I still can't escape." The creature; Discord asked. "I am Madara Uchiha. Right now, I'm nothing more than a leech myself...drawing power from the one who shares the power I once had...but..." With that, an evil smirk spread across Madara's face. "This is why I am proposing an alliance...we both can help each other reclaim what we want." Madara said.
