Chaper 1: I Did A Thing!
It was an average everyday morning in little ol' Ponyville. The birds were chirping, the pegasi were moving clouds and stuff, Celestia's sun was shining brightly on the small town below and the ponies were doing their everyday routines. One pony in the quaint little town, a white unicorn with a purple curly mane (and might i add, a fabulous mane) and tail with a trio of blue diamonds on her flanks, was hurrying along a dusty old path in a hurry. Let's take a closer look, shall we?
"Oh for goodness sake," Rarity mumbles under her breath, "why can't Mayor Mare replace these dusty old roads with something more presentable?" Rarity was lost in her thoughts when the unthinkable, most awful thing ever happened.
Rarity walked straight into a tree.
"Waahhhh!" Rarity shrieked like Diamond Tiara when she didn't get what she wanted.
'Oh, its a tree...' She thought to herself
But what she didn't realise is that there was, in fact, a birds nest in said tree. It was teetering on the edge of the branch,in said tree, deciding or not if it wanted to stay on the branch or land on the prissy unicorn's head and rile her up, make her scream and annoy anypony close by.
It chose to land on her head.
Rarity saw a shadow falling out of said tree, then looked up to see the bird's nest,from said tree, falling down towards her.Without a moment to think, she quickly made her horn glow a sparkly light blue aura, out of reflex, to catch the little nest in mid air. Then gently placed the nest back in the exact place she thought was best, not where the bird thought was best. Where SHE thought was best.
After 15 minutes of deciding where exactly to place it to HER standards, not the bird's standards but HER standards, she finally started heading towards the woodland cottage of her companion.
~~~~~~~5 minutes of walking later~~~~~
The prissy unicorn finally made it to her friend's cottage. She did her super secret code knock to notify that she has arrived to her friend.
Knock knockknockknockknockknock. Knock. Knock.
Rarity then heard a semi-quiet "Eeep!" And some crashing sounds.
The door then preceded to open very slowly and one blue eye cautiously peeked out of it. The door flung open to reveal a butter yellow pegasus mare with long, light pink mane and tail with a trio of pink butterflies on her flanks.
"Oh, hi Rarity!" The timid pegasus says quietly, "W-what brings you around here?"
"Well, Since you asked," Rarity started with some emphasis on the 'k' in asked, "I was heading over to the castle of The Royal Pony Sisters and I thought I could use some company."
"Oh, that's nice..." The pegasus said shyly, while trying to hide behind her mane a bit.
"Oh come on Fluttershy, you're not still afraid Everfree Forest are you?"
"Of-Of course not!"
"Then come on Fluttershy, dear!"
"Okay..."
~~~~~a trip through The Everfree later~~~
The castle is some old crumbly ruins from somewhat 1000 years ago. It used to be the home of the Alicorn of the sun, Celestia, and the Alicorn of the moon, Luna. The reason its so crumbly is because 1000 years ago, Luna got all jealous like at all the attention Celestia's day was getting, and Luna's night as she thought, wasn't getting any attention. She became Nightmare Moon through an emotional outburst, causing a lunar eclipse and being all jealous like. Celestia defeated her with the Elements of Harmony. The elements are magic, laughter, generosity, kindness, honesty, and loyalty. Rarity represents generosity and Fluttershy represents kindness. Now, back to the story!
"Finally! We made it!" Rarity joyously exclaimed.
"yay" Fluttershy said very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very VERY very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very quietly.
Rarity then started trotting into the old castle ruins with her timid friend trailing a few feet behind her.
"Well, this place hasn't changed much" Rarity thinks out loud.
"Um, Rarity?" Fluttershy starts of, "Why are we here exactly?"
"For research." Rarity replied looking around for the library's entrance.
"Like, Twilight level research?"
"Nope"
"OK, good" Fluttershy sighed with relief.
After a couple minutes of searching in silence, the two mares finally stumble onto the dusty old library.
"Aha!" Rarity exclaimed "we found it!"
"So... Um... What are we researching?" Fluttershy asked her fancy friend.
"You promise to tell nopony?" Rarity said while looking her friend dead in the eyes.
"I promise!" Fluttershy said weakly, backing up a bit from the fashionista's glare.
"Pinkie Promise?"
You may be wondering 'what is a Pinkie Promise?' Well, if you're not, skip this paragraph! A Pinkie Promise is a super duper special promise made up by their good friend, Pinkie Pie, the element of laughter and the most random pony around. Pinkie Promises can't be broken ever, no matter what. Nopony knows what happens when you break a Pinkie Promise. Or nopony has lived to tell the tale.

Pinkie Pie dropped a tray of cupcakes she was moving and stared blankly in front of her.
"Is a narrator talking about me...?" Pinkie Pie wondered aloud.
~~~~~~~Back to the dusty old library~~~~
Fluttershy sighed then started reciting the promise encantation that she and her 5 friends share. And remember, no one can break a Pinkie Promise, never no matter what.
"Cross my heart and hope to fly," Fluttershy said while crossing her heart with her hoof, "Stick a cupcake in my eye" She finished by gently placing her hoof over her eye.
"Okay, good." Rarity started. She then leaned in close towards Fluttershy's ear and whispered "Dark Magic."
"DARK MAGIC?!?" Fluttershy shouted as loudly as she could, which wasn't very loud, "Why are you researching that?!?"
Rarity mentally facehoofed.
"I'm only researching a SMALL bit of it to perfect a spell" She explained to her concerned friend.
"What does the spell do?" Flutters asked quizicly.
"Oh, you'll seeeee!" Rarity said in a sing-song voice.
Fluttershy was obviously curious about what her unicorn friend had in store, but she didn't want to ask more. That would be rude!
"Now, help me find some books on dark.magic!" Rarity commanded to Fluttershy
The yellow doormat opened up her yellow wings and started flapping them to gain some altitude. That's fancy for 'flying'. She started searching the higher shelves while Rarity searched the lower shelves.
After 2 hours of searching, they found absolutely nothing.
"Ugh! This is hooooopppeeeelllllleeeesssss!" Complained the prissy marshmallow.
"Um Rarity, why don't you just attempt to try your spell again," Fluttershy suggested, "Or, you could ask Twilight to help, since she is an alicorn now and all..."
"Maybe I will try it again as it is..." Rarity said giving up on the book she found, "But Twilight should NEVER know about this, Understood?!"
Rarity looked Fluttershy dead in the eyes, and made Fluttershy uncomfortable for the second time that day.
"U-u-understood..." The pegasus said softly.
"Good." Said Rarity.
The prissy marshmallow then lit up her horn and went out into full concentration mode. A strong breeze started up, a breeze strong enough to open all the books on the ground and table and make the pages flap wildly. A breeze strong enough to knock breezies off course. A breeze strong enough to knock Fluttershy into a wall. The aura on Rarity's horn expanded and went lighter. Fluttershy started to set up a book fort to protect herself from whatever happens after Rarity finishes casting her spell. Her light blue aura keeps expanding, and expanding and expanding. Then suddenly, a blinding white flash engulfs the ancient library.
"That was... Unexpected..." Rarity mutters, standing in front of the newly opened portal.
Fluttershy was at a loss for words. She didn't understand what was happening. Her brain went into overload.
Fluttershy then passed out.
~~~~Meanwhile in another dimension and like 3 hours beforehand~~~~~~
"Oh come on! It's not that scary!" A white unicorn stallion complained.
"Im-im sorry... But-" Started a yellow pegasus stallion, but was interrupted by his unicorn friend.
"You owe me!" Shouted the Unicorn. "Besides, the Everfree isn't scary considering we've oh, I don't know, been here over 100 times!"
"OK... Fine..." Said the pegasus, "But, if I get even a bit startled, I'm flying out of there."
"Deal, now come on!" Shouted the unicorn as he majestically trotted into the forest with his timid friend not to far behind.

"So, what are we doing at the Castle of the Royal Pony-" started the Pegasus but then got cut off by his friend.
"Research." He replied calmly.
"Like D-" started the pegasus again but got cut off by his friend, once again.
"No, less nerdy."
"OK, good"
~~~one alternate dimension stroll thru the castle later~~~
"Aha! The library!" Exclaimed the unicorn who started levitating books and stuff with a sparkly light blue aura to a table.
"So, um... What are we researching?" Asked the pegasus.
"Dark magic." Replied the unicorn, not giving any bucks.
"DARK MAGIC?!?" exclaimed the pegasus as loud as he could, which wasn't very loud, "But, that's illegal!"
"Oh, it'll be fine, don't get your feathers in a bunch," stated the unicorn, "I only need a bit-" the unicorn was interrupted by a bright white flash the engulfed the ancient library. Once the flash died down, a portal could been seen.
The pegasus fainted.
"Buck..." Said the unicorn.
