She lived in a small settlement to the south and he knew how to exact his revenge... He'd take something of hers... Something precious. He watched as night fell, carefully noticing the other ponies that had stolen his victory. He watched as they frolicked with small creatures... "I will have my revenge..." He breathed almost silently. Later that night he snuck into the town, careful not to be seen. First he entered the home of the Alabaster Unicorn and saw a small cat carrier. He sprinkled some powder on the beast's nose, making sure it would not awaken. In and out he slipped, unnoticed by any. He repeated the process in the home of the pink one, only it held a small... Alligator? He smirked at the creature when it yawned, how pitiful, an apex predator reduced to a common pet due to a defect? It was so sad he almost burst out laughing as silently climbed out the window. Long did he have to wait before the winged unicorn finally slept but once all the lights were out he snatched an owl. He thought long about taking the dragon as well, but he knew they were supposedly intelligent, and thusly would cause problems. He wondered what could posses this unicorn to stay up so late and saw on her desk a book, "How to Counter and Control Undead for Fillies." These ponies were all insane. The yellow flyer also gave a similar problem, with too many choices. Until he recognized the rabbit she had brought to their little meet and greet. Careful not to awaken the other animals he up to the basket and clasped his hand around the rabbits mouth as it opened its eyes. A bit of powder eliminated any resistance. He approached a small farm on the outskirts of the town, the home of the orange hick... She owned a dog... He HATED DOGS... their constant barking made stealth difficult but... his powder would help... if the dog did not smell him first that is. He carefully skirted the barn and saw the dog sleeping on the porch. He climbed up the trellis and released the powder down into dog's nose. He began to reach down but quickly retracted his tail upon hearing hoofsteps inside. The door opened slowly and closed quietly as he heard a little filly whisper, "Cutie Mark Crusaders Grave Diggers!" He saw two other forms both holding shovels and wearing similar dark robes. He heard one of them say in an excited tone, "Cutie Mark Crusaders Necromancers!" The other one replied with, "I don't know girls... are you sure this is a good idea?" "Ah course it is! We've tried everythin' under the sun to get our cutie marks... maybe it's time we branched out..." Their voices trailed off in the distance as they moved towards the pet cemetery. Ahuizotl shuddered at the thought of what they were doing before scooping up the dog and moving towards his true goal... The Tortoise... The cloud home was the hardest to reach but Ahuizotl had gotten into harder places. Using a strange bicycle helicopter he had pilfered from the pink one's house he flew up to it. Snickering to himself he threw some of his powder through a fluffy cloud wall onto the prismatic mares face, knocking her out cold. He then, now free to fly through her home on this squeaky contraption, found the tortoise and scooped it up, careful to dab it with the last of his powder. He looked about the house and knocked a purple, swirly vase over... it was made of cloud and could be repaired in moments but he still got a modicum of pleasure out of it. By the time he had left, the refrigerator had been left open, all the tooth paste had been squeezed out, she would never find her precious Daring Do collection and her Wonderbolts costume had static cling. He snickered as he flew back to the ground and slinked home. *** He sat in his cave home on a golden throne laughing to himself. "They will not know what I have done until I choose to tell them! And when I do, they will convince Daring to give me the Amulet of Atulment, restoring the dark magic of the Qetzel Quotl Empress!" He laughed more to himself. He looked around expecting to see his loyal servants... Then he remembered how they had all left after the temple was destroyed. "Daring Do..." He whispered angrily. "OOO!" He screeched in pain as something bit down on his tail. He whipped it around to see the sad, sad alligator clamped onto it. "Oh you've all woken up..." He realized. He looked around for cages small enough to hold them, hoping to find cages as small as possible... But all of his cages were designed for ponies! "You're lucky I need you alive for the ransom!" He screeched at the Alligator. "Who?" A voice said from behind him. "The Alligator!" He yelled as he spun around to see the owl flying around the room. "Who?" "All of you pets!" He grew only angrier. He picked up a maul and threw it near the owl, not trying to hit, simply attempting to scare it. "Is this the place?" He heard a monotone voice say from behind. He spun around in fury to see a purplish grey mare staring at a rock in her hoof. "What are you doing here!?" He screamed in rage. "Boulder said this is where all the pets are going." She blandly put. "And since I see them all here it must be true." She turned and stared at the rock, "Behave yourself Boulder." She put the rock down and walked slowly out of the cave. Ahuizotl twitched slightly as she slowly made her way out. No matter how many times he threw a weapon at her she never sped up, she was so slow and he was so used to aiming at the quick Daring he missed every time. He sat on his throne puzzled as to what to do next. If she had found him others surely would be on the way. He watched as the bunny almost seemed to speak to the other animals somehow, directing them... Reaching for an axe he took careful aim but before he let it fly he heard the owl perch above him, and when he looked up a small puff of a familiar powder clogged his nose. *** He opened his eyes a few hours later, still sitting upon his throne, with a massive headache. He woke up quickly as a sharp pain in his tail made him stand straight up and flick it forward to see the Alligator once more chomping on his tail, "Why you little! I wi-" He began to scream before he was beamed by high speed flying tortoise. The strength of the impact sent him reeling into the wall, and, as his vision cleared he saw the dog sitting with a board of wood on its back... more interesting was the fact that the cat sat upon the side of the board opposite of himself. Ahuizotl watched as the rabbit knocked a purple, swirly vase over... on to the board... His eyes widened as a screeching ball of hate flew into his face. His screams were cut short however by the owl dropping a bucket of water from above onto him and the projectile kitty. This only further enraged the beast. By the time he had the strength to throw the cat from his face he was well sliced up. He began to scream as he saw the pets smashing ancient artifacts, tearing asunder tapestries, and knocking over his weapon racks. "THAT IS IT!!!!" He screamed as he gathered them all up and flung them into a cage, that he then threw down a small pit. The ones small enough to get out of the cage, could not fly, those that could were too large to escape the cage. "Rot in there until I have my reward!" Angrily he began to clean up the mess. "I need a drink..." He complained after sweeping up a vases remains. He limped towards his pantry... when he opened it wide to find it empty his jaw dropped. "Wha... What?" He searched and searched but not a crumb was to be found. He flung open his hard cider drawer and saw all the bottles empty, and a small rock perched precariously on the edge of a mug. It swayed seemingly on its own before falling over, into the last container with any fluid remaining. Ahuizotl turned to make sure none of the animals had escaped, seeing a smug looking rabbit with a small stick riding an owl like a valiant knight, he turned to take a drink, only to see the mug the rock had fallen into... empty... "That's it... I'm done..." He sighed on the edge of tears. *** Later that same day, Ahuizotl wandered into the dark ruins, that had only the previous night been the settlement he had invaded, holding a sack full of animals and a very hung over rock. This place seemed to have had a worse time than he did! The voice of the purple one could be heard scolding some unfortunate fillies. He dropped the bag in the center of town as the ponies watched in confusion. He walked out shuddering in rage at that devilish rabbit that had left him defeated.
