Will Twilight ever save the Crystal Empire after randomly arriving at Celestia's Castle? Twilight must find a way to go back in time to fix what she has messed up on.
The Crystal Empire is at sake, and Twilight is the only one who can fix it! There is only one problem. Twilight used dark magic she learned from Princess Celestia on a magical door and is stuck, realizing that she was moved forward in time that caused the Crystal Empire to be completely enslaved by King Sombra. Now she has to find a way to go back in time to fix the problem.
Twilight Sparkle recently realized that the crystal heart that she made was a fake. Her friends try to hide the crystal heart from the crystal ponies while King Sombra is trying to get past Cadence's magical shield protecting the crystal empire. Twilight went into the castle to find the crystal heart. She found the way to his castle by using her magic, or though she realized. All she seen was a ton of stairs going all the way down.
Twilight trotted down while Spike stayed upstairs. After tumbling down an entire flight of stairs, she seen a door. She tried to open it with her real magic, but it didn't work. So she used the trick Princess Celestia taught Twilight. The door opened with a bright light.
“Spike, I think it's here.” She went into the door and all of a sudden showed up in Princess Celestia's castle.
“What are you doing here?” Celestia said with anger.
“I don't know. I opened the door and--”
“And now you must go.” Celestia said while cutting off Twilight
“Go where?”
“Doesn't matter to me. You failed the test Twilight!”
Twilight was completely shocked when hearing that, where Twilight never fails.
“I don't understand! The Test--”
“Not only will you not be moving on to the next level of your studies, you won't continue your studies at all!”
“But, you never said about no longer being your student if I failed.”
Twilight starts to shed tears.
Princess Celestia puts her wing aside Twilight, then pushes her in front of her.
“Didn't I?” Celestia continued
“But, what do I do now?”
Twilight then looks at the wall where there is a new panel. The panel has King Sombra taking over a crystal pony. Twilight then lays on the ground crying. Princess Celestia then comes back.
“You are now banished from Equestria. Go pack your things, and don't ever think about coming back!” Celestia said with great fury.
“But, where do I go?”
“I don't care, just not here.”
“But what about my friends? What about Spike?”
“You don't need to worry about them. They are still in the Empire and are enslaved. Plus you betrayed them, so they will not care about you. Now go.”
“But-” "
Go. I want you out of Equestria!”
She whistles and two guards take her out of the castle.
“Goodbye Twilight!”
The doors slam closed. Twilight walks down the stairs, every teardrop hitting each step.
Twilight walks down to the train station. She sits on the bench crying. The train then arrives and Twilight goes on the train. Twilight takes a seat right next to a pony reading the newspaper. The doors close.
“I can't believe what happened to the Crystal Empire.” Said the pony next to Twilight, reading a newspaper.
“Reading the article?”
“No I escaped before King Sombra saw me. I miss Twilight though.”
“Yeah.”
Twilight's eyes began to grow. She looked at the pony reading the newspaper. She saw a rainbow colored tail.
“Rainbow Dash?”
The pony looked over the newspaper.
“TWILIGHT!!!”
Twilight and Rainbow Dash hugged each other.
“AW MAN!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S YOU!!!!” Rainbow said with joy.
“I thought you guys hated me after that?”
“Hated you? Who told you that?”
“Princess Celestia, after she banished me from Equestria.”
“Wait a moment. She banished you from Equestria?”
“Yeah.”
“Um, Twilight, I don't think she would do that to you. You have been her student for a long time.”
“Well that's what she said. I don't know where to go.”
“Hey, it's okay. We will find out what's going on. I guarantee you that the real Princess Celestia would not do something like that.”
“We?”
“Yeah me and you.”
“Oh.”
“ Stay on the train. We are going to the Crystal Empire!”
“Okay!”
“I think the others will be happy to see you again.”
“But I thought they are mad at me.”
“They're not. They will never be mad at you.”
“Are you sure Rainbow Dash?”
“Yeah I'm sure! They are safe in the castle. I told them I would come and find you.”
Twilight And Rainbow Dash finally arrived at the Empire.
“Do you remember the teleportation spell?”
Twilight's horn started to glow. She poofed outside the castle. Rainbow Dash opened the door.
“Guess Who I Found?”
“TWILIGHT!!!!!!!!”
The whole gang was happy to see her.
“Where's Cadence and Shining Armor?” Twilight asked.
“Shining Armor is upstairs with Cadence. Cadence is taking a rest.” Fluttershy said. “She needs it.”
“Can I go see them?” Twilight asked.
“Go ahead.” said Fluttershy.
Twilight trots upstairs.
“Shining Armor?”
“Twily. Come on in but be quiet.”
“I'm sorry about this.”
“It's okay. Spike told me all about it.”
“Speaking of which, where is my little assistant?”
The bathroom toilet flushed in the next room. Twilight looked over. The door opened.
“TWILI-”
“Ssssh.” “
Sorry.” “I thought you were gone forever Twilight. All of a sudden I saw you go downstairs and you disappeared when I went down.”
“Is everything okay up here?” Twilight asked gently.
The ponies enter the bedroom.
“I entered a door and I arrived at the Canterlot Castle, and I was told that I was banished from Equestria, and that I was not going to continue my studies.”
“Why would Princess Celestia say that?” Pinkie Pie said with worry.
“I don't know. All of a sudden, I heard that the empire was taken over and she said that I failed the test.”
“Something can't be right about this.” Rainbow dash said. “I don't understand why she would say that to a pony that never fails.”
“Well we have to do something about this.” Twilight continued. “I don't believe that a princess that I know for a long time would banish me from Equestria.”
“Yeah, we have to figure this out.” Rainbow Dash said, thinking. “I Got It!” said Rainbow Dash with excitement.
“Ssh.” the girls said.
Then all of a sudden, Cadence woke up. As her eyes open up, she saw Twilight staring at her.
“TWILIGHT!!!” Cadence got out of her bed with excitement.
“Sunshine! Sunshine! Ladybugs Awake! Clap Your Hooves And Do A Little Shake!” They both sang together. Then they started to laugh.
“Sorry I woke you up Cadence.” Rainbow Dash said.
It's alright, I was already going to wake up anyways.
“Alright, I was thinking that Twilight should go back and get the crystal heart.” Applejack said.
“But how? King Sombra has all the crystal ponies enslaved. We lost.” Twilight said.
“Hmm. You're right.” “Then what are we supposed to do?” Rarity asked.
“I Got It!” Spike said. “Twilight, do you remember the spell you learned that will let you go back in time?”
“Yes, but there is one problem.” “Oh yeah, it doesn't let you stay there permanently. Only for about 30 seconds.”
“Then again, WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?!” Rainbow Dash shouted with worry.
The girls stood there thinking.
“What about the library?” Rarity thought.
“That's a good idea! Come On, Lets Go Girls!” Twilight said with excitement.
They ran down the stairs.
“Hold on girls!”
Twilight's horn started to glow. They all disappeared out of the castle.
Twilight looked out the library window. The skies were clear. The ponies were outside with the crystal fair, and the crystal heart is still covered with the flag.
“Okay, I-”
“There you are Twilight. I thought you were going to get the crystal heart.” Shining Armor said while he entered the library.
“I'm about to." “
Okay, if you need me, you know where to find me.”
“By the way, how's cadence doing?” Twilight asked.
“Her magic is not good. Hurry Twilight. You don't have much time.”
The doors close. “Okay, I am going to retrieve the crystal heart, while you girls go keep the fair going once more. Alright?!”
“Mhm.” They all agreed.
"Spike, you come with me. Okay, GO!”
Twilight trotted to the castle. She cast a spell over the throne. The shadow opened the floor once more. Then she headed down the flight of stairs. Moments later, she arrived at the bottom of the stairs.
“Okay, King Sombra's magic didn't work, so hopefully the other one works.” Twilight said.
Twilight's horn glowed, then she shot at the crystal above the door. A rainbow glowed over the door, and opened the door. She entered in with Spike, and saw more stairs.
She walked up the stairs with Spike. After a long flight of walking up stairs, they were both getting tired.
“What if this, is just more of his magic?” Spike asked. “He makes a door that leads to your worst nightmare, why not a staircase, that goes on forever?”
Twilight looks up at the stairs above her.
“Hold on to me.”
Twilight's horn glowed again, and flipped upside down under the stairs, and started sliding upwards.
She and spike arrived at the top in no time at all. They found the crystal heart. She walked to the heart, but all of a sudden, she stepped on what is a crystal pressure plate, which triggered an alarm. King Sombra heard the alarm and used his magic and closed her in with crystal spikes. The crystal fell over the side of the crystal spikes.
“The heart, where's the crystal-”
“Over here, it rolled over here when you dropped it.”
“Don't Move!”
Spike struggles to get away from the spikes coming at his feet.
“You can move just not toward me.”
Twilight used her magic to get out of the jail-like trap, but she was thrown back in by Sombra's magic.
“How can I been so foolish, I was so eager to get it. And when I saw it was rolling outside I-”
“You have to get out of there Twilight. You have to be the one who brings the heart to Princess Cadence. If you don't, you fail Celestia's test.”
“King Sombra is already attacking the Empire. He could reach the Crystal Ponies at any moment. He could reach Princess Cadence, my brother, my friends. There might not be enough time for me to escape.”
Twilight started to think of what to do for a moment. She looked outside, then looked at Spike, who still continued to struggle at the spikes.
“You have to be the one to bring the crystal heart to the fair.” twilight thought.
Spike grabbed the heart. The spikes got bigger the more he goes outside. Spike tried to keep the crystals for moving by pathetically using his breath, then he jumped to the other crystal next to him.
“Hey, Up Here!” Spike yelled to the other girls.
“Spike?” Rarity said down below in the castle.
“I Got The Crystal Heart!”
King Sombra heard Spike and seen the heart. He went over to Spike with anger to get the heart.
Spike ran down the crystals to the bottom. Then he fell down.
“SPIKIE WIKIE!” Rarity cried.
Shining Armor picked up Cadence on his back. She saw it with her eyes flashed with a glow. Her wings opened. Then Shining Armor Put Princess Cadence over his head and threw her at the heart. She flew like a bullet after the heart and she grabbed Spike and the heart then headed to the fair. She landed to the center of the fair, crushing the fake heart.
“The crystal heart has returned. Use the love and light within you to ensure that King Sombra has not." Cadence said to all the crystal ponies in the area.
The heart flew to the center of the Empire and was held by 2 crystal spikes. The crystal ponies coats turned to a strong crystal look and bowed down to the crystal. The ground started to glow, and glow, and glow until the whole Empire was filled with a huge glow. All the glow went into the crystal heart, and it started to spin.
