> The Second Son > by Gleaming > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Infamous: The Red Moon > --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Infamous: The Red Moon
Delsin Rowe is a delinquent who is known around Seattle as a graffiti artist and to his friends and family, he didn't mean to harm anyone who he encountered until the day he gained powers from a rogue conduit named Hank. After defeating Augustine, who was the so-called ''leader'' of the DUP, he was now free to honor his brother's memory and keep the DUP disbanded for good. Along with Fetch and Eugene, they were able to rescue all of the captured conduits that Augustine swore to protect. As a graffiti artist and local delinquent of the Akomish reservation, Delsin's reputation didn't fall too far from the tree where every action that he took to avenge Reggie's death and expose Brooke Augustine's crimes against Conduits and the world, came with a reward and a price to pay. Delsin awoke to the sun's bright lights through his window, rubbing his eyes with disgust. ''Just when I knew that this day would be perfect, I'm wrong again.'' It wasn't a good start to his day, but he had to seize the day on a high note. Delsin removed the covers off of his sweaty body to get some air in his humid room. The air conditioner was turned up to its highest setting, but they did not prevent the heat that came from the warmth outside. Delsin was not the one who was very fond of the heat, he was more of a person who enjoyed the cold winds that blew past him. Delsin wrapped his chain around his wrist after he put on all of his clothes. He stepped out of his bedroom and walked down the stairs in a hurry, a familiar voice called out to him. ''Delsin, it's time for breakfast.'' Betty called out to him, who finished setting up the table. ''Coming, Betty!'' Delsin rushed over to the kitchen, his eyes were fixated on the meal that was in front of him. A huge stack of blueberry pancakes and hickory-smoked bacon caused his mouth to water, he tried to keep his cool over the delicious banquet that his aunt left him, Betty, a very kindred spirit with a kind heart, sees the good in friends and family that she knows can make a difference in the world and in the tribe. She tries to keep Delsin out of trouble when his brother used to catch him vandalizing billboards, to promote his so-called ''art.'' But nevertheless, she loves him to peaces. ''I miss him every day, Betty.'' Delsin shoved a piece of a pancake in his mouth, ''Reggie was the glue that kept me from making the wrong decisions, but now that he is gone, I will still remember him as not only my brother, but as my role model.'' ''I do too, Delsin. Even with his death where we should be sad, we can still honor his memory,'' Betty stated, picking up a pancake with her fork and putting the pancake in her mouth. Her teeth chewed down on the lone pancake, as her cheeks lit up with the delicious concoction that she made after hours of cooking. Delsin took a minute to collect his thoughts, he remembered that painting a graffiti memorial for his brother was a good way to remember him. What better way to show his aunt what he did, then to show her himself. ''Betty, I painted a memorial mural dedicated to Reggie.'' Delsin said, rubbing the back of his neck. ''You wouldn't mind if we went to go see it?'' Betty asked, raising an eyebrow. ''I wouldn't mind at all, but we have to wait until it is dark outside.'' Delsin answered. ''Why?'' Betty asked once again. ''It's so that we can see it better, but first I'm going to go hang out with Fetch,'' Delsin said, getting out of his chair and exiting the kitchen. ''Bye Delsin, see you later.'' Betty said, waving her hand goodbye. Delsin dashed to the front door, opening the door and closing the door behind him. He bent his body down and knelt to his knees, with a circle of smoke and ash surrounding him, the energy gave him a huge burst of adrenaline that catapulted him into the air. The artistic graffiti artist dashed through a nearby smoke vent, it sent him flying across the city to his destination.
On the roof of the Fish Cannery where citizens spent their nights eating their vast fish cuisine, it was a tourist restaurant attraction that brought tourists from Seattle to New York City, where everyone enjoyed a time with others. Delsin stood atop of the rooftop where he was waiting for Fetch to arrive. Fetch was another fellow conduit that Delsin met in an attempt to absorb her powers, to increase his chances of defeating Augustine to stop her ruthless tirade. The moon shined in the night sky with the beautiful stars spreading harmony throughout the night, neon lights and stands appeared on the streets of Seattle where the morning coffee shops were transformed into vibrant, loud night clubs that accommodated all of the people who love to party late at night. However, the neon lights and stands helped Fetch and Delsin regenerate and use their powers to help other people but to silent the protestors who once hated them and deemed them as dangerous freaks. ''I knew you would come here, Delsin.'' Fetch brushed her dark purple hair, hiding her blushing red cheeks. ''You give me way too much credit, so how are you?'' Delsin asked, shooting down a blast shard while he looked at her. ''I've been good, dealing with drug dealers, and absorbing as much neon as I can.'' Fetch said, looking down at the dead drug dealers in the alley near the Fish Cannery. ''For some reason, I love to hang out with you.'' Delsin sat on the edge of the rooftop, letting his feet dangle. He felt the wind blowing through his hair, even with his beanie on. The nice cool feeling made him feel more comfortable around Fetch, more than usual. ''I feel the same way about you.'' Fetch sat next to him, letting her feet dangle as well. ''Maybe we should hang out like this more often.' Delsin puts his arm around her, leaning in for a kiss. ''Yes, we should.'' Fetch leaned in at the same time, to seal the deal with the kiss. As their lips meet to seal the deal, both of their cheeks flushed with the hot sensation along with a feeling that they never had for each other before, but this time they did start with a good impression. But just when you thought their relationship with start off well, a dark shadow formed around the moon until the moon was completely covered in darkness. The moon that once had a white complexion, transformed into a dark red moon with a dark orange coloring along with it. All of Seattle took a slight break from their parties to look up at the moon, scratching their heads with confusion. During a period of time, the moon goes through one of four eclipses each year, now they are experiencing the first one where the moon is dark red. A strange dark, red blast shot out from the moon that was aimed directly at the Fish Cannery, where the blast came at a very rapid rate towards Delsin. ''Fetch, move!'' Delsin pushed Fetch out of the way, as she fell off of the rooftop where she ran to the sidewalk that left a neon trail of her path. ''This is going to go well, hopefully.'' Delsin watched as the blast engulfed him in a flash, sending him through a universal loop that not only had many universes similar to his, but universes that he has never discovered before. Delsin was unaware of what would happen next, he would appear in the Golden Oaks Library, the home of Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight curled up in a feeble position while getting caught up in a good book, she kept the candle lit to make sure that she could see her eyes watch the words pass her by. Her loyal assistant, Spike was sound asleep after helping her friends finish the Lunar Eclipse Celebration for Luna, to help her be more in tune with her social skills around her subjects. ''This is one wonderful book, it was worth waiting for.'' Twilight skimmed through the pages with her magic, her eyes lit up with every word that she read. This book, in particular, was a book that she was waiting months to read: The Journey for the Sapphire Dragons by A.K. Yearling. Rainbow Dash had to beg Twilight for months for a copy as well, she had to jump through hoops to get it, but she finally earned it. Without hesitation, a portal opened from the inside of the library, dropping Delsin on the floor of the library while Twilight stopped reading her book and looked behind her. Usually, Twilight would be a conducting survey or asking this creature questions, but she didn't have enough time to wrap her mind around this. So, she decided to ask him a quick question. Twilight poked Delsin's eye with her hoof to check if he was real. ''Who are you?'' Delsin stood up from the floor, his eyes looked down at his hooves. ''I'm a horse now, where the hell am I?'' He didn't know how to react to this. Either he would attack the first thing he saw, or think of a plan. ''Well firstly, this is Equestria, more specifically, my library.'' Twilight answered, leaning closely to him. ''I'm Delsin Rowe, I'm a conduit who resides from another universe in the city of Seattle, Washington.'' Delsin's eyes popped out of his head, while he looked at Twilight's body. ''You have a horn, what are you?'' ''I'm a unicorn, my name is Twilight Sparkle. The protege and student of Princess Celestia, whom I send letters to her about the magical wonders of friendship.'' Delsin simulated the action of gagging, because he wanted to barf, but didn't think to actually do it. ''Friendship could be magic, if my brother didn't die when I was betrayed by a guy that I trusted.'' ''Uh, sorry to hear that.'' Twilight tried to conceal her guilt, instead she decided to comfort him. She grabbed a book with her magic to see if she had a solution to this solution: Bookworm's Guide to Dealing with Supernatural Situations. ''Ah, yes this book can solve our dilemma.'' Twilight studied the cover of the book and flipped to the first page. ''It says here, that to deal with a supernatural situation, you must first learn and understand the situation. So with a very subtle approach, I'm going to study everything about you.'' ''How... fun?'' Delsin shrugged his shoulders in confusion. Twilight's horn glowed with her purple aura while she held Delsin close to her, they were transported to Twilight's laboratory. She conducts scientific studies and analyzes anything that is out of the ordinary, other than Pinkie Sense, which she understood. This is not going to end well. > Infamous: Scientific Analysis > --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Infamous: Scientific Analysis
Before Delsin could even ask another question to Twilight, his wrists were chained by one of Twilight's scientific analysis computers that collects data for Twilight to look over and come to a conclusion. The computer was hooked up to a machine that prints out the data that is collected, Delsin felt like a test subject to an insane genius. ''So, what is this machine and computer for?'' Delsin struggled, trying to break free from the computer's grip. ''To put in the terms for you to understand, the computer collects the data that comes from anything that is attached to it, and the machine prints out the data and the results for a conclusion to be made.'' Twilight turned on the computer and machine, by flipping the switches. ''Simple as that.'' ''To collect any data, I need you to commit an action, any action at all.'' Twilight's horn started to flicker on and off, a certain occurrence that never happened before. Delsin's struggle to break free caused flames to emerge from his wrists and throughout his body. His energy was concentrated with a surge of smoke and embers coming out of his wrists. The machine went haywire as the data flew around everywhere in the laboratory, the analysis computer did the same thing, but with smoke coming from the computer. As the last collection of data came out, the computer and machine explode. A huge puff of smoke filled the room after the explosion, Twilight grabbed a fan with her magic and blew the smoke out of her eyes, to prevent any damage to her eyes or smoke inhalation. ''I think I made a slight miscalculation, but the data came out unscathed.'' Twilight took out the data from the damaged analysis computer and read the data to tell the results to Delsin. A long scroll of the data unraveled from the wreckage, as she kept on reading. The scroll of data came out and the results were as followed: Analysis: Delsin Rowe, a Conduit from Seattle, possesses a vast collection of powers and abilities along with basic Conduit abilities. In addition, Delsin has a repertoire of power manipulation. His collection of powers and abilities range from Power Absorption to Concrete Manipulation. But since there are no neon lights or satellite dishes in Equestria, Delsin's powers are limited or most of his powers can not be used here. Although, there are some concrete structures and statues in the major cities of Equestria. ''Judging from the data collected, you are a Conduit who has powers and abilities that nopony in Equestria has.'' Twilight said, with a shocked expression on her face. ''Your data is valid, I wouldn't be surprised coming from a smart unicorn like yourself, Twilight Sparkle.'' Delsin said, flatteringly. ''Why, thank you, Delsin.'' Twilight's ears drooped down, while her cheeks were a light crimson red. ''Before I forget, would you mind letting me go?'' ''Certainly.'' Twilight aimed her horn at the chains while her horn glowed with a huge spark, shooting a blast at the chains. The chains were shot off completely by the magical blast, even though the chains are metal, they didn't stand a chance against her magical prowess. ''Thanks, Twilight.'' Delsin's stomach started to growl with a low roar emitting from his stomach. ''I'm really hungry, can we get something to eat?'' ''Sure, but we have to wait until Princess Celestia raises the sun.'' Twilight moved the damaged equipment to the trash section of the laboratory. ''For now, it is really dark outside. You may not know this but, we have a forest called the Everfree Forest, where dangerous animals and nocturnal creatures live in the forest, so you can stay here for the night if you want.''
''I would like that, Twilight.'' Delsin stormed out the door and up the stairs to the main room of the library, but Twilight beat him to it. ''Delsin, you can sleep upstairs with Spike and I.'' Twilight escorts Delsin up the stairs to the main bedroom, where Spike was still sleeping in his little bed with his blanket wrapped around him. ''I really appreciate the kind courtesy that you're showing me, Twilight. Even for a person that you just met today, I really expected both of us to have different reactions to approach this in an alternate fashion.'' Delsin walked to the side of Twilight's bed, taking off his clothes and he laid them at the side of the dresser near the bed. ''It was my pleasure, I felt the same way.'' Twilight giggled at the thought of Delsin's response, she joined Delsin in the warm comfort of her bed. ''We can go get some breakfast in the morning. Although, the food here is not the same food that you would be accustomed to.''
Both ponies closed their eyes to drift on to sleep, they kept themselves comfortable on each side of the bed. The stars in the sky twinkled while the mysterious appearance of the red moon, appeared in the sky as well. During Delsin's slumber, a vision of Brooke Augustine appeared in his mind. He did not want an image of a tyrant who controlled Seattle with an iron fist, orchestrated a betrayal that led to his brother's death, and turned on a fellow conduit that she befriended before she became the director of the D.U.P. The vision of Augustine showed a desolate wasteland of what used to be Seattle. She killed all of the dangerous Conduits that harmed the citizens, to maintain an oppressive control over everyone, as a false idol who promised that she was saving the Conduits. She stood atop her main headquarters of the city, where she had all of her forces scout out for any interference. Delsin shifted back and forth in the bed, trying to rid himself of a horrible image. Beads of sweat rolled down his nervous body with the image fading away completely from his mind. The thought of Augustine destroying everything that we worked so hard for, sends shivers down my spine. The vision in Delsin's nightmare triggered the red moon to appear in the sky. The red moon feeds off of the deepest, darkest fears that reside in the dark, twisted corners of a person's subconscious. He must not think of Augustine in his nightmares, or the red moon will bring strange changes to Equestria. > An Ordinary Breakfast with Twilight > --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Infamous: An Ordinary Breakfast with Twilight
The sun's reflection came through the glass windows of the Golden Oak Library, while Twilight and Delsin were sleeping soundly in the bed. Delsin's nightmare caused him to get some cold sweats that left an impression of his body on the sheets. His stomach was still giving him trouble, the growling became a huge nuisance for him. Delsin wipes the sweat off of his body, looking over at the Conduit tattoo on his right arm. ''Twilight, good morning.'' He pulled the covers and took his clothes from the dresser, putting his clothes back on and wrapped his chain around his wrist. ''Good morning, Delsin.'' Twilight said softly, to avoid waking Spike up from his sleep. She knows what a grumpy dragon does, when they are woken up from their slumber. ''We can both agree that it's time for breakfast.'' Delsin said, walking down the stairs leading to the library. ''I agree completely, because your stomach was growling like a hungry lion.'' Twilight tried to suppress her laughter, but she let it out without hesitation. Twilight and Delsin walked into the kitchen to make some breakfast. She took out a cooking book to see what they should make, examining the vast collection of recipes inside. ''Hmm, I have a hankering for some pancakes.'' Twilight puts out her hoof on the cookbook near the breakfast section. ''Here we are, some cinnamon pancakes.'' She read over the cinnamon pancakes recipe in the book, to memorize every single detail. Cinnamon Pancakes: 1/2 cup of flour 2 tablespoons of sugar 1 tablespoon of baking powder 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 egg 1/2 cup milk Vanilla extract and Vegetable oil ''That sounds delicious, let's go all out!'' Delsin exclaimed in excitement. His excitement was not only present in his facial expression, but also when he spun around on his hooves. ''Good idea.'' Twilight levitated the ingredients that the book listed, placing the ingredients on the kitchen counter. The vibrant bookworm followed the recipe step-by-step to the simple details, fixing the pancakes in a flash. She placed the pancakes on two plates with her purple magic hovered around them. ''Delsin, want to eat these delicacies at the local cafe outside?'' she asked. ''Sure, what could possibly go wrong?'' Delsin asked, concerned.
They walked out of the library, heading towards the local cafe' that all ponies spend their mornings and afternoons at. The go-to place where ponies hang out and dine out, the cafe' in the town square of Ponyville was the place to be. Unbeknownst to Twilight, Delsin has never been to a public place in their universe. ''Twilight, are you sure that this place is safe?'' Delsin asked, sitting down near a mushroom table with Twilight. ''Well, Delsin, Equestria in general is not the safest place around due to the dangerous animals and mythological creatures that live in the outskirts of Equestria, also in the Everfree Forest.'' Twilight chewed on her pancakes and sipped a cup of tea. After enjoying their little breakfast, their ears perked up to hone in on the sound of a group of timberwolves approaching the cafe. Ponies scattered with only their screams being heard, hiding in their homes for their safety. ''Twilight, I know this sounds crazy, but I'm going to fight them alone.'' Delsin said, getting out of his chair and standing across from the timberwolves. ''Are you crazy?!'' Twilight shouted with a feeling of concern and discontent, but she had to see how Delsin can handle it. ''I've fought many battles in my life and watched a dark vision of a possible future, if I do not take these challenges head on,'' Delsin looked back at Twilight, smiling at her. ''you just have to trust me.'' ''Okay, I will.'' Twilight stepped away from her friend, giving him some room to take on the adversaries. Timberwolves were no laughing matter. They had the ability to regenerate and come together as a stronger version of who they once were, creatures that only came out when the zap apples went through their stages to become nice and ripe. Granny Smith told stories about these creatures during her youth, but Delsin is about to confront these wooden creatures.
The timberwolves rushed head on to meet Delsin halfway when the two sides run up to each other, Delsin jumped over the timberwolves when they came to a complete stop. Delsin jumped on the sign of the cafe while the timberwolves breathed fire that burned the sign to the ground, he jumped out of the way just in time. Dealing with this problem was one thing, but Delsin needs one of his powers to even the playing field. The smoke from the burning sign gave him the opportunity to absorb the ember and smoke, in which he absorbed it without stopping at all. The timberwolves roared with stinky gas coming from their breath, where Delsin almost passed out from the gaseous fumes that came from the wooden wolves. Delsin's eyes shot out daggers with his vision keeping a close eye on the wolves. ''Here we go, it's now or never!'' Delsin deployed smoke grenades from his hands as the smoke blinds the vision of the wolves. With a golden opportunity ahead, Delsin dashed through the vulnerable gang of timberwolves and unwrapped his chain, smashing the wolves in one fell swoop. ''Time to finish them off.'' Delsin soared into the air as he dematerialized into three balls of smoke, which propelled him up into the sky. After stopping for a slight moment to smile, he rapidly fell back down to the ground while he rematerialized. Smoke and embers scattered through the air and the ground, with a huge gust of wind following soon after. The Orbital Drop reduced the charred remains of the timberwolves into burned wood, the fire faded away from their charred bodies. He walked over to Twilight while the citizens of Ponyville came out of their homes, looking around at the ponies staring at him. A steady ovation of clapping hooves gave Delsin a good feeling inside, to save anypony who was in danger. A challenge might look impossible to complete, but it never stops someone from trying. Twilight puts her arm over Delsin, taking him back to the library.
The two ponies stepped into the library, Twilight laid Delsin on the floor to heal his wounds. But before Twilight could get the medical kit, a circle of smoke and ember circled around Delsin while his wounds were fully healed. ''I'm fine, Twilight.'' ''I wanted to be sure, you really impressed everypony here,'' Twilight laid the medical kit down. ''You have a gift that nopony can take away from you, you was sent here for a reason.'' ''What reason could that be?'' Delsin rose up from the floor, raising an arched eyebrow. ''I might not know for sure, but I do know that with the unique powers that you possess, you can write the path to your own future where you can make a difference for yourself and others.'' Twilight said, walking up the stairs to her room. Delsin followed Twilight soon after, he opened the window to the balcony of the library, where a telescope was pointed upwards at the moon. ''It looks so beautiful.'' His eye peered through the reflective surface of the telescope, the telescope starts to tilt over to the Canterlot castle of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. ''A castle, I wonder.'' > Infamous: Meeting Applejack > --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Infamous: Meeting Applejack
The sun shone on the apple orchard of Sweet Apple Acres, the family farm and home of Applejack and the Apple Family. Applejack woke up at the crack of dawn to buck the apples, and make apple cider later on to sell. Applejack was putting her back into it with a lot of effort, she didn't show an inch of weakness. Hard work on the farm is always a challenge for some ponies, other ponies can show their strength to the best of their abilities to handle it. The Apple family is no exception, working together as one unit can get anything done when they put their mind to it like a well oiled machine. Delsin and Twilight walked over to the apple orchard, where Applejack was bucking apples and dropping the apples into a huge assortment of buckets. ''Hey, Applejack!'' Twilight shouted, waving over to her friend. ''Howdy, Twilight. Who's your friend there?'' Applejack kicked the base of the tree with her hind legs stretched out, her hooves smacking the hard wood of the tree as the apples tumbled down into the buckets. ''This is Delsin, Applejack.'' Twilight pointed her hoof to Delsin. ''Delsin, this is my friend, Applejack.'' Delsin bumped his hoof with the top of Applejack's hoof. ''Nice to meet you, Applejack.'' ''The pleasure is all mine, sugarcube. So what can I do you for?'' ''Delsin was wondering if he could help you with your chores today, isn't that right?'' Twilight asked, she smiled with a huge grin on her face. ''Of course, I'm trying to get to know Twilight's friends, after I saved Ponyville from an attack from the timberwolves.'' Delsin said. ''Ah heard that blast from a mile away, that was an impressive fight you gave to them partner!'' Applejack tipped her hat in respect, still bucking the apples down. ''You wouldn't mind letting Delsin stay here to help you around the farm today?'' ''Ah wouldn't mind at all, you can leave him with me. You can go have a wonderful time back at the library.'' Applejack said, waving to Twilight with a goodbye. ''Delsin, do you know how to buck apples?'' Applejack asked, bucking the last set of apples into the basket. ''Not that I'm familiar with, Applejack.'' Delsin scratched his head in confusion. The flamboyant conduit wasn't familiar with the customs that Ponyville had to offer, but that didn't stop him from trying. Everypony knows that Applejack is a hardworking mare who would help anypony in need, always being honest, and putting her friends before the possessions that she desires. ''Apple bucking is where you buck a tree with your hooves, and apples fall down as a result.'' Applejack demonstrated the whole apple bucking process, the foundation of the trees, and how hard you have to kick for the apples to fall. ''I see, I'll give it the old college try.'' Delsin got ready in the position to kick the tree with his hind legs facing the tree. ''Are you ready, Delsin?'' Applejack gave Delsin her encouragement with a wink. ''Ready!'' Delsin kicked the tree with all of his might and strength, the apple tree shook with the apples tumbling down in the process. ''I guess I don't know my own strength.'' Applejack giggled, turning her head to Delsin. ''Let's go bring these buckets of apples to the cider station.'' ''Okay!''
The two ponies brought the apples in the buckets, removing the apples from the buckets, and placing the apples into the cider squeezer. They pulled the lever to squeeze the apples, the apples squished under the pressure of the squeezer as the cider from the inside of the apples was poured into a stack of cups. ''That's the last of it, thanks for helping me, Delsin.'' Applejack pats Delsin on the back, throwing her saddlebag over her back. ''No problem, AJ. If you need help with anything else, let me know.'' ''Will do, well it was nice meeting you, later partner!'' Applejack smiled and waved her hoof, as Delsin walked his path back to Twilight's library.
Delsin reached the front door of the library, as the sun was setting down in the distance. A remarkable day came to a close when he met Applejack, now he is going to enjoy a relaxing end to a wonderful day. He walked into the library, watching Twilight read a book about nuclear astrophysics with a nuclear atom on the cover. He sneaked behind Twilight without making a sound, howling like a wolf to startle her. AH! Twilight jumped up to her feet and looked at Delsin with a startled expression. ''Delsin, everypony knows that they should not sneak up behind me like that when I'm reading a book about nuclear astrophysics.'' ''How specifically detailed.'' Delsin giggled, walking into the kitchen and grabbing a glass of milk. ''Yeah...how was your time with Applejack?'' Her magic placed the book back in the right section of the bookcase. ''It was amazing, Twilight. She is a very interesting, hardworking pony who dedicates her life to ensuring that the lives of her friends and family are very well in the present, past, and future.'' Delsin drinks the glass of the milk, the empty glass was left on the kitchen counter. Twilight trotted upstairs to her bed, where Spike was still asleep. In secrecy, Spike was reading the latest issue of the Power Ponies comic book series, he had to trade a mint condition comic to attain this limited edition one. It was sold out for weeks now, but Spike was able to get it at the Rainbow Falls Traders Exchange. Twilight laid down in her bed and snuggled under the covers, stretching her hooves over the covers. The covers were a shade of dark blue with clear white stars and the moon. Twilight's favorite constellation has always been Orion, she loved studying and researching about it just to let the knowledge sink in. Finally, she fell asleep. Delsin laid on the floor after drinking the glass of milk, either the milk knocked him out or he was too lazy to get up. However, he has been preventing any nightmares of Augustine to pop in his head once again, or the red moon will return again. He started to rise up to his hooves and walked to the bookcase. He tapped his hoof on the bookcase, the wall of the bookcase retracted and slid open as an empty room with candles that were already lit surround each other in a circle. The room was pitch dark, but with the candles in the room, it was very well lit. Delsin sat down in the middle of the circle with his legs crossed, he concentrated on channeling his powers. His body was floating in mid-air with the candles rotating around him, the concentration of his powers became stronger with his body getting used to the adjustments. The candles merged together with a huge flame protruding from the candles, as the candles crashed down to the floor below him. Sparks flew with a perfect amount of smoke coming from the sparks, he stretched his hand out and absorbed the smoke from the sparks. His body stepped out of his subconscious as the candles returned to their normal state. He ran back out of the secret compartment, and slid the bookcase back into place. ''That was close.'' Tired from exhaustion, he dropped down on the library floor. > Infamous: Trend-setting Fashionista > --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Infamous: Trend-setting Fashionista
Twilight stretched her arms with a yawn, stepping out of her bed and walking downstairs to the library. ''Good mo--'' She stopped her statement, as she looked down at a smoke trail. The trail started from the library and ended at the Carousel Boutique. The young purple mare followed the smoke trail until she reached her destination: The Carousel Boutique. She hovered her hoof in front of the door and knocked on the door. Knock, knock! Rarity heard a knocking at the door and approached the door. ''Twilight, is that you darling?'' ''It's definitely me, Rarity.'' Twilight said, as Rarity opened the door and closed the door behind her. ''Good to have you here, Twilight. Do you need anything?'' ''Rarity, did my friend Delsin come in your boutique last night?'' ''Applejack told me about him, and he did come here last night.'' Rarity nodded and turned her attention to Delsin laying on the floor near Opalescence. She shook Delsin back and forth with her hoof and flipped him on his back. A loud screech along with a hiss came from Opal, as the cat ran off in a panic. She left a mess of fallen mannequins and dresses with claw marks in the fabric of the dresses. Rarity was distraught that the dresses she worked so hard on for months, were ruined. Luckily, she had somepony to help her. ''Delsin, would you like to assist me with this?'' Rarity fluttered her eyelashes at him, with a seducing look on her face. ''I'll see what I can do, Rarity.'' Delsin nodded in agreement, rising from the floor. ''Splendid!'' Rarity exclaimed, using her magic to put the mannequins back up. Grabbing a needle and thread to stitch the dresses back together, Delsin grabbed a needle and thread as well. Rarity held the thread with her mouth and held the needle on the top of her hoof, using her magic to stitch the dresses together. Delsin stitched the claw marks on the fabric of the dresses, and started to fade away. Delsin walked over to Rarity, wrapping his hooves around her back in a warm hug. ''Thank you, Rarity. I'm starting to see why your generosity is beloved by many.'' Tears start to build up in his eyes. For a split second, a ball of smoke shot out of Delsin's hand without his control over his actions, the smoke landed on the newly fixed dresses with a smear of ash visibly on the dress. Rarity lets go of her grip around Delsin, as she turned around to the ghastly sight of ash on her dress. She ran over to the aid of her dress and angrily frowned at Delsin. ''Get out of my sight, you monster!'' Rarity shouted with her hoof pointing to her door. ''All I did was mess up your dress, get over it!'' Delsin shouted back at Rarity, storming out of boutique. Slamming the door behind him in a huff, the door rocked the boutique like an earthquake. ''What an ungrateful ruffian.'' Rarity huffed as well, but got back to getting rid of the ash.
Delsin walked back to Twilight's in disgust. He didn't want to talk to anypony at all, instead he just wanted to be alone. Instead of going back to Twilight, I'm going to the Everfree Forest to let off some steam. He thought to himself as he changed his course to the Everfree Forest. He walked through the Everfree Forest while the sun's rays were going down in the horizon, the sky felt the golden rays of the sun as the sky had an orange shadow covering it. Bats flew out of the shallow caves with the sounds of screeching echoed through the forest, a group of owls hung on the branches of oak trees with their beady eyes staring all around them, and other creatures were defending their side of forest from attackers. ''Twilight was overreacting, this forest isn't dangerous at all.'' Delsin arrogantly said, he looked down at his hooves and saw a disembodied head roll up to him. ''Or, she could be right.'' Looking in front of him, a huge spider web appeared before him with the spider's victims captured in the sticky web and from the looks of things, they all perished. He approached the spider web to get a closer look, a spider descended down from his small string and licked its fangs with an enticing demeanor at his soon-to-be meal. ''Well, well, well.'' The spider hung above Delsin's head from the string, smacking his lips with a strong sense of hunger. ''I don't want any trouble, but I wouldn't say that you will survive this.'' ''I can say the same for you, my friend.'' ''Let's see then.'' Delsin got into a fighting position and ran up to the spider. He jumped up into the air and threw out a hoof, as the spider dodged quickly to avoid the attack. The spider shot out a web at Delsin to trap him for his dinner, instead he grabbed the web and hurled it back at the venomous animal. The venomous predator dodged the incoming spider web very quickly, and licked his fangs in a delightful tone. As the spider was ready to claim its next victim, Delsin punched the spider in the stomach as venom and acid protruded from the animal. It collapsed to the ground from the hard blow of the punch, and its four limbs went up in the air. No response was heard from the animal again. Delsin looked down at the spider. ''Let's make sure that it stays dead.'' Delsin soared up into the air with the balls of smoke following behind him, a smoke trail circled around his body. A smug grin appeared on his face, as he started to plummet back down to the spider. He came down at a very rapid rate with the result to be a very deadly one as he came crashing down on the ground while landing firmly on his hooves. Winds blew through all of the leaves and the forest with a huge wake of destruction and devastation was left in the forest. Burned leaves and scorched trees were left behind from the Orbital Drop. ''I'm done with this world.'' Delsin trotted away from the destruction that he left behind. Walking over to a pond to look at his reflection, a vision of Reggie appeared in the pond. ''This can not be real, Reggie is that you?'' Delsin asked in astonishment with a gaping mouth. ''It is me, Delsin. I'm a vision interpretation of your subconscious where your problems are present. Anyway, I know that my death was not in vein and you're in a world that you do not understand, but I'm here to tell you that I will always love you.'' ''I love you too, Reggie.'' ''I'm not there physically, but I'm with you in spirit and I'm here to guide you whenever you need me at your side...farewell.'' The mirror image of Reggie faded away from the pond's presence, as Delsin wiped away a tear in his eye. He walked out of the obliterated forest to go back to Ponyville, to see if he could find out who he truly is. > Infamous: Come to a Conclusion > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Delsin stared up at the night sky in amazement. Stars twinkling, the moon in plain sight, and the thought of leaving this world came to mind. After destroying the Everfree Forest, he needed some to cool off by looking at the stars. He found a grassland with soft patches of grass to lay on and enjoy the view. The scenery of the grassland was a sight to behold, a secluded area for a pony to calm down and unwind. I know I've made bad mistakes in the past, but I'm going to learn from my mistakes.. He thought to himself. An array of thoughts were rushing through his mind, Delsin doesn't know what to think of himself anymore. A person with determination and heart to face adversity head on, to take it down in the process. Delsin laid down softly on the grassland with his hooves behind his head, relaxing. He looked around him to make sure that nopony would follow him or plan a search party to find him, being alone was his style... for now. The calm night breeze flowed through his dark brown mane, while he closed his eyes. He dreamed peacefully in his dream, until he saw a vision that he did not want to see. ''Delsin, Delsin.'' a voice called out to him in the subconscious of his mind. Brooke Augustine stood across from him and walked closer to him. ''You thought you could get rid of me, but I'm back.'' Brooke flicked her wrist as concrete circled around Delsin, all of it came crashing down around him. The weight of the concrete kept his body pinned down, he felt the pain aching through his body. ''You exposed me in front of the whole world, but I'm going to get my revenge.'' She kicked him in his side, as he coughed out blood and groaned in pain. ''This wouldn't have happened, if you just joined us.'' She kicked him again in the side with a rough kick, ''Instead, you revolted against what I stood for and I spent my life building an empire. You took it all away from me.'' Delsin tried to break the concrete's pressure over him, but he failed to do so. He looked up at the oppressive leader of the D.U.P., and thought of a witty remark. ''You know, a wise man once said, if you can't finish what you have started... you shouldn't have started it in the first place.'' She stopped dead in her tracks and walked back over to Delsin, slapping him across the face. ''You should watch your mouth!'' Augustine snapped at him. ''Make me, I already took everything from you.'' Delsin said, spitting in her face. It took a while for the emotions to sink in, but Brooke Augustine had a huge feeling of rage on her mind. Delsin took everything away from her, and now she wasn't going to let him take anything else. Augustine wiped the saliva off of her face and stood atop her concrete stepping stone with a barrier of concrete to protect her. A barrage of concrete came flying at him where Delsin had to break the concrete to dodge. The sound of a rocket shot out of a rocket launcher as the rocket barreled down to him and destroyed the concrete around him. He dodged out of the barrage's path, rolling over to the side, and looked into the distance where his brother was standing with a rocket launcher. Delsin launched his own version of a concrete barrage, as it ricocheted off the concrete barrier. Augustine launched another barrage to keep him on his toes. Delsin jumped over the incoming barrage of concrete rocks flying at him, using his thrusters to keep himself in the air. He soared up into the air as Augustine tried to keep up with him, Delsin came back with a furious punch in front of her that sent Augustine flying to the ground. She knew that this fight was not going to end well, so there was only one thing to do. The barrier of concrete sticks to her body as all of the concrete around her attracted to her gravitational pull, a concrete serpent was formed from the huge clump of concrete. As the concrete serpent stepped forward to Delsin, he didn't show a shred of fear. He ran as the serpent approached him even further with concrete-like claws and legs, with his back against the wall. The serpent swings the two claws out at Delsin, sending him crashing through the wall. ''Augustine, you're starting to piss me off!'' Delsin shouted in anger and shot out concrete as it connected with the weak spot of the serpent, its head. Delsin watched as the serpent transformed into a flat bed of concrete spikes and slid across the ground towards him, he jumped over the flat bed and turned his around to see the serpent return to its normal form. With his best instincts in his head, he kept shooting more concrete barrages at the head, the serpent crumbled only to show Augustine on the ground at his feet. He covered Augustine in a concrete cocoon and looked down at her scared face. ''I would never join you, and now you get to watch the thing you spent years building crumble and being exposed publicly to the world.''
The dream faded away from his mind, opening his eyes as the breeze cascaded over his body. I've got to make things right He thought to himself as he galloped to the Golden Oak Library. Arriving at the library, he walked into the library as Rarity, Applejack, and Twilight gathered around the wooden statue of a pony in the center of the library. Delsin scratched in head in confusion, thinking of the proper response. ''What are you guys doing here?'' Twilight was the first one to speak, she stood up from the floor. ''Delsin, we have been thinking for a few hours now, and well...'' She didn't how to put the words delicately. ''What Twilight is trying to say is, even after the time you've spent here with us and though my dress was ruined by a smudge of ash, it wasn't your fault. You are here for a reason, and we're going to tell you why.'' Rarity levitated a quill with some ink, dipping the quill in the ink, and handing the two writing tools to Twilight. ''So, we have a special letter prepared for you,'' Applejack tipped her hat and dipped her head down, ''...we hope that you enjoy it.'' Twilight finished writing the letter in the neck of time, as she read the letter aloud. Dear Delsin, The time you've spent with us over these past few days have touched our hearts. Not only have you shown that you can learn from your mistakes, but you set an example for us to show that just because you are from another world, does not mean that you can't leave an impression on the ponies that you meet. With that being said, we will make sure that we send this letter to my teacher and ruler, Princess Celestia. We hope that you learn the magic of friendship as we have taught you. Sincerely, Twilight, Rarity, and Applejack A moment of silence ringed throughout the library, you can even hear a pin drop with emotion running through their bodies. Delsin took the three ponies close to him, wrapping them in a hug. ''Farewell.'' He walked out of the library and closed the door behind him, flying off into the night sky towards the moon. Twilight spoke to her friends for a moment, trying to hold back her tears. ''I'll see you guys in the morning, bye.'' ''Bye Twilight, see ya Twilight.'' Rarity and Applejack said together as they walked out of the library and returned home. Twilight ran up the stairs to the bedroom and woke up Spike out of his slumber. ''Spike, I need you to send this letter to Princess Celestia.'' ''Oh, al-right.'' Spike groaned under his breath. Spike grabbed the letter and rolled it into a scroll. He breathes his magical green fire into the scroll, while the scroll was immediately sent to the royal Canterlot Castle in Princess Celestia's chambers. ''Letter sent.'' Spike smiled with a big grin and headed back to bed. ''I'm going to bed too, goodnight Spike.'' Twilight slept in her bed soundly and fell asleep. Delsin kept his course to the moon as a white flash of flight beamed him through a portal of other universes.
Fetch was still waiting on the rooftop of the Fish Cannery, crossing her legs while she looked up at the moon. Oh Delsin, I hope that you do come back. She thought, as she saw a bright light emerge from the moon. The huge beam of light came out of the moon as the light quickly faded revealing it to be Delsin. He came down face first on the rooftop as his face hits the concrete pavement hard, looking up at Fetch. ''Did you miss me?'' he asked, trying to clear his head for a minute. ''Miss you?' Fetch asked with a surprised face, ''The moon turned red and shot out a beam that took you away like a child, taking you god knows where, and you came back to ask me if I missed you?'' ''Yeah, but trust me you don't want to know what happened.'' Delsin rose up from the pavement and sat down next to Fetch, trying to keep his eyes away from her. ''Tell me.'' Fetch said. ''Are you sure?'' Delsin asked with an arched eyebrow on his face. ''I'm sure, I promise not to tell anyone. I swear on the drug dealers and activists that I killed, so serious.'' Fetch planted a firm hand across her chest and saluted to her solemn oath. ''Okay then.'' Delsin said, whispering in her ear about all of the events that happened to him. Telling her every single detail about his strange adventure into an unknown world. Fetch had a mixed bag of emotions, where she didn't know what to say or how to say it. She smiled from ear to ear and left the rooftop, leaving a neon trail of her path. He stood atop the rooftop and watched as Fetch went off into the distance. ''I guess she took it well.''
Fetch crossed her legs and sat down in an alley where the neon lights shined in the night, she grabbed a guitar and wrote a song down on a piece of paper with her neon powers. She walked home with her newly-written song in her hand, until Delsin walked with her and held her palm in his hand. They shared an intimate moment with their lips making contact, as a neon-colored heart flashed between them. The End
