> Chaos Rising > by Split_Second_the_Pegasus > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Prolouge - Chaos Rising > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Canterlot) The Princess of the Sun sat on her throne, looking bored for she had been having a rather dull morning so far. Raising the sun, eating a harsh breakfast with her sister, Princess Luna, then trudging to the throne room as Luna went off to bed for an hour or two of shuteye. Celestia yawned as one of her guards burst into the room. “Your Majesty! You have an urgent visitor by the name of Legit Sniper!” Said the stallion. Celestia nodded. “Send him in.” She had not heard from the assassin in a long time. Not since the incident where he was set up in an assassination attempt against none other than herself. The brown Pegasus stallion strode into the throne room. His black mane was hidden under his brown Stetson, and his electric blue eyes were hidden behind his orange sunglasses. “You Ma’am, are a hard mare to reach…” His quiet voice said, Austallionis accent still strong. The princess simply stared at him. “And you are a hard stallion to track. Why are you here?” She asked. He adjusted his black vest. “As you know princess, Ah travel all of Equestria because of my job, and one… Hears things.” “Go on…” Celestia said cautiously. The assassin shifted a little. “Well… A recent target as was assigned gave me a particularly… Disturbing prophecy before I…” He cleared his throat, “silenced her…” He said, choosing his words carefully. Celestia suddenly seemed nervous. “Prophecy?” She asked. Legit Sniper nodded. “I’ve memorized it.” Celestia waved her hoof in a ‘continue please’ motion. He cleared his throat again. “This will be the end, of peace and harmony… Chaos reigns and never dies, for you can see it in my eyes. Up from the ashes, new Elements will rise. For seven ponies caught in lust of land, sea and skies. Not even harmony, can survive against attack. Generous and Honesty, Laughter, Kindness and Loyalty For not even Magic can survive the coming havoc.” As the assassin finished, he was shaking. Celestia just sat there, stunned into shocked silence. Legit looked up at her. “Princess. Before I go, I should also probably mention that before I silenced her… She mumbled something about… The Elements of Chaos?” He said, unsure of himself. If it was possible for the abalone alicorn to get any paler, she did. “Thank you for telling me this, Legit. You may leave…” The diarch said. The assassin bowed and was escorted out of the throne room. Celestia quickly turned to one of her assistants. “Take a letter please.” The assistant already had a scroll and quill in magic grip. “My Dearest Twilight Sparkle, Though I can’t explain everything at this time, please be aware that this is very important. It has come to my attention that though I have been so blind as to not see it before, I have been given sight that the Elements of Harmony are not the only elements in the land of Equestria. You and your friends are in great danger now, and must be constantly vigilant. I’m so sorry I can’t tell you more, but I will say this: Do NOT put your trust in Discord any longer. Your Mentor, Princess Celestia” As the assistant sent the letter, the very draconequus was spying on the princess, a plot forming in his mind, and a smirk creeping onto his face. Oh Celly…You of all ponies know that you just can’t keep things like this from me… He thought to himself, then vanished. (Ponyville) Twilight Sparkle rushed around her library, trying to find a book to help her figure out what the princess had meant. “No… No… No! NO!” She groaned, looking at the covers of random books. A purple baby dragon watched her nervously. “C’mon Twi… We don’t even know if-“ The lavender alicorn cut him off. “Spike, don’t try to calm me down! If my friends are in danger, then I’ll stop at nothing to keep them safe!” Twilight said stubbornly. “And besides, if I can’t figure out what she me-“ She was interrupted by two pegasi crashing through her window, kicking up a lot of dust. When it settled, it revealed a cyan Pegasus mare with a rainbow mane and tail, standing over a white Pegasus stallion with a greyscale mane and tail. She had a hoof on his chest, for he was on his back. Her magenta eyes stared into his stormy grey ones. “I win. Again.” She said to stallion. Twilight coughed, poking her head out of a pile of books that had fallen on her. “Rainbow Dash! Can’t you be cautious of property damage at all?!"She scolded. Rainbow looked up, and suddenly realized where she was. Her ears flattened against her head. “Oops… Sorry Twilight… I didn’t realize we had crashed into the library…” Rainbow said with a nervous chuckle. Usually, the egghead didn’t scare her, but when it came down to damaging the library in any way, Twilight would turn into a momma Ursa. Dash turned her attention back to the stallion underneath her. “Gotta say, Split. You’re certainly getting faster! Yah almost beat me that time. Almost.” She chuckled, helping the white stallion up. “Thanks. I’ve been training myself.” Said the stallion known around town as Split Second. Rainbow had mixed feelings for the guy, but she wasn’t too sure of them just quite yet. Right now, he was sorta like the awesome the twin brother she never had. Then again, her best friend Blue Lightning had that kind of relationship with her too, but Blue wanted to keep it that way. It irritated both of them when everypony around town started to think that they were together. Just then, the blue Pegasus she was just thinking about flew in through the hole where the window used to be. “Yo, Split! Rainbow! That was the best wipeout I’ve seen yet!” He said, sharing a brohoof with Split. Split laughed. “Maybe for you, Blue, but tell that to my bank account!” He said, motioning around the library. It was virtually a pigsty now. Blue cringed as Split turned to the lavender mare. “I’m so sorry about the mess Twi. I promise I’ll pay for the window.” He said. She huffed a little in response. “It’s alright, Split.” The alicorn said, starting to levitate books back onto the shelves. The three pegasi decided to leave the library, so Twilight could clean up without distraction or irritation. (Split’s POV) Rainbow took off a while after we left the library. I watched her go, thinking to myself, Horseapples! Why does she have to be so bucking sexy?! The voice that responded reminded me that my thoughts were never private. “Oh Celestia… Second, can’t you keep your thoughts to yourself?” Okay, let me get one thing straight. I’m NOT crazy. Last Minute, a unicorn trapped within my mind, is kind of like… My dark side. He makes an appearance why I get too angry or am kept in a tight space for too long. He pesters and bugs me, trying to distract me so he can take over the body. I never give into him though, for fear he might kill everypony close to my heart. "I totes would too." He said. “Just shut up!” I snapped. This shocked Blue, who had been talking. “What did I say?” He asked, looking around. I rubbed my forehead. “Grrrr… you didn’t say anything.” I told him through my teeth. Blue nodded suddenly, understanding. “Last getting chatty again?” He asked. "Tell him to tell Red I said 'Hi'." Last’s voice snickered. “Yeah, nice grammar, moron.” I sneered. "Whatever. Just tell him." The unicorns voice insisted. “Fine!” I nearly snarled, and turned to Blue. “Last says to tell Red that he says ‘Hi’.” I said. Blue rolled his eyes. “Red says: ‘S’up.’” He muttered. Thank you Split. You're SO kind to me." “You’re pushing your bucking luck, pal!” I growled. I sensed a temporary surrender in Last and sighed. “Blue, do you have any way you can keep Red quiet?” I asked. He thought about it as we turned down alleyway. “Normally, Red can’t talk freely unless he’s close to breaking the barrier between our minds.” Blue said. Blue had a similar problem to mine. Red Thunder is a Pegasus who trapped in Blue’s body. I was startled out of my thoughts by the realization that I couldn’t move. “What the hay?!” I heard Blue growl. I could see him out of the corner of my eye, but I was more focused on the creature in front me. A draconequus to be exact. “Discord?!” I choked out. "Oh, this should be good..." I heard Last mutter. Discord gave a greasy smile. “Indeed it will be, Last Minute!” He said. Whoa, you can hear me?" The god of Chaos simply nodded. He turned to Blue. “You know Red Thunder, with a mouth like that, I’m very shocked to find that it hasn’t been silenced or filled with soap.” He said. Discord’s greasy smile morphed into a mischievous smirk. “You’re exactly right, Red! I am here to cause trouble!” Discord said. He snapped his fingers, and the world turned upside down, then everything went black. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ When I woke up, I felt extremely weird. A voice groaned inside my head. “Wh… Where am I?” It asked. To my absolute horror, it sounded like… Like… “Blue…?” I asked, barely louder than a whisper. “Split!? Why am I… Discord! He did this!” Blue snarled. I was so terrified at the realization I just thought of, I couldn’t even process the thought. “Blue?” I asked. He noticed the terror in my voice. “What’s wrong?” He asked. “If… We’re in the same body… Then… Does that mean….” I didn’t finish the disturbing thought. Blue seemed to realize what I was getting at. “Oh dear Celestia… We have to warn the others!” He shouted. I cringed, yet galloped at full speed back to the library. > The Chaos 7 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Discord did what?!?" Rainbow Dash snarled. I blushed. "It's alright Rainbow... It's not a big deal..." I muttered. "O'course it'sa big deal, sugarcube! Ah've been waiting fer Discord tah pull a stunt like this fer a long time!" Said Applejack. She and the rest of Dash's friends had gathered at the library. "Quite. I simply knew that ruffian couldn't keep his paws clean for very long!" Rarity added. Pinkie Pie nodded frantically. "That's right! We knew that big meanie couldn't keep his act going much longer! After all, he wasn't doing a very good job in the first place..." She said. Twilight walked up, looking sad. She sighed. "Split... I have no book in this library that tells me how to fix your guys' problem... I'm s-so sorry..." She said. Even though Blue knew that Twilight wouldn't be able to hear him, he spoke anyway. "Well... That's okay Twilight. I'm sure Split and I can work together for the time being!" I repeated his words to her as I lifted the Alicorn's chin up to look at me. Twilight blushed a little and smiled. "O-oh... Okay then..." "E-Excuse me..." Said the quiet, timid voice of Fluttershy. We all turned. She squeaked, surprised she had gotten our attention. "I um... I... I don't believe you!" The pegasus said, pointing a hoof at me. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! "Fluttershy! You can't seriously be defending that creep!" She stood her ground. "He's said a thousand times that he's reformed! I'm willing to stick my neck out and believe him!" She said and walked out, leaving me sputtering in disbelief. (Unknown location) (Last' Minute's POV) I groaned as I sat up. "Urg... What the buck happened?" I asked myself. A voice rang from the darkness. "Holy buck! Last? Is that you?" It asked. My brows raised. "Red? What the hay are you doing out of Blue's body?" I asked suspiciously. "I should ask you the same question." He said. "The answer is simple." Said a different yet familiar voice. "Envy." I shot to my hooves, and the room became dimly illuminated in the light of a 4 gemstones. They were all mounted on a crown that was shining black. Polished obsidian from the look of it. The only weird thing was, that from the way the crown accented the green and red gems... It looked like... "My cutie mark?" I asked. Discord appeared. "Both of your cutie marks actually! Look closer!" He said with a grin. Red and I did, and noticed that along the outer edge of the top of the hourglass gem, three red rubies had been carved into the glowing shapes of lightning bolts. "What is this, Discord?" Red asked. "A crown, A symbol of power, and... The controller for the rest of the Elements of Chaos..." Discord said. "And is there a second crown?" I asked. The question seemed to catch the draq off guard. "E-er... No." "You expect me to share that thing?" Red asked incredulously. Discord thought about that. "No." He said. "Then what-" I began to ask, but Discord cut me short. Red then interrupted Discord with a fair question. "What the hay, are the Elements of Chaos?" "You'll know soon enough..." Discord grinned maniacally and snapped his fingers. I then felt a pain I would never forget. (Ponyville, Near Rarity's boutique) (3rd Person) Puddle Jumper was tired of having a blank flank. He wanted his cutie mark, and he wanted it now! Sure, Crusading with Scoots, Sweetie and Applebloom wasn't all bad... But he already knew his destiny, and his cutie mark still had the nerve, to not appear on his flank! Making and traveling through Portals was his passion! His all time goal was to create a spell that could open portals on the other side of the universe, or anywhere else in the universe for that matter. He groaned in frustration as he conjured a portal and jumped through it. He looked around, shocked to find himself in the room where the AI named GLADoS had been kept. He was back at Aperature Science Test Facilities. He gaped around at everything, thinking himself dreaming, yet somehow knowing in his heart that this wasn't a dream, He very nearly jumped out of his skin when the voice of GLADoS spoke. It sounded more... Masculine, then usual though, "You want it back, don't you?" "W-what?" PJ asked, looking around for his old friend. She sounded weird. She sounded... Crazy. 'That's impossible... AI's can't go crazy! It's not scientifically possible! He thought to himself. "Your old life... Here, at Aperture Science. You're real job. Your real destiny." She said, PJ looked down. "I g-guess...I mean.... I never really th-thought about it." He said quietly. "What if I told you, that I could give you your old life back, and you could get revenge on the wretched pink party pony for what she did to you?" That chilled PJ to the bone. "You aren't GLADoS! Who are you!?" He shouted at the voice. "Greed." Said a new voice, that sounded more like chaos personified. PJ watched as a glowing blue gem with a swirling center appeared in the center of the room, and unfortunately for him, he made the mistake of looking into the gem's spiraling center. He was instantly rooted to the spot, in some kind of trance, and stuck staring at the gem as a sterling silver necklace appeared around his neck. The gem began to slowly make it's way towards him. A draconequus appeared to the side of him. "Poor, sweet Puddle Jumper..." The draq's voice dripped with false sympathy. "How much is too much want?" He asked suddenly. PJ stiffened. "There is never too much want..." He said, as the portal jewel sealed itself onto his neck, and Discord smirked as PJ started screaming. (Ponyville) D.B was tired of starving. She needed somepony to feed on, and she needed it now! She looked around, then looked down at her disguise, Derpy Hooves. She hated having to derp her eyes occasionally when passerby waved at her. Why did she have to choose that brain-dead mail mare? She asked herself. D.B froze suddenly, as she spotted the know-it-all librarian, Princess Twilight Sparkle. She changed her disguise to that idiot farmpony Applejack, then trotted towards Twilight. "Howdy there, Twi!" She called, getting the oblivious mare to turn and grin psychotically, as she grew and transformed into a- "AHHHH!!!!" D.B screamed, sitting up in her bed. 'Oh... Just a dream...' She thought to herself. 'That was... Interesting...' "How about, chaotic?" Offered a voice behind her. She whipped around, grabbing the nearest knife with her magic, and putting it at the figure's... 'Torso?' She asked herself. As D.B's eyes traveled upwards, she met the eyes of Discord. "Hell-o!" He said, pushing her onto her back. D.B's muzzle turned pink, and Discord smirked. "My, my... You're sheets are a little... damp... Why is that?" He whispered, and his snake-like tongue found it's target. D.B's inner ear. She yelped and teleported to the other side of the room. "Don't bucking do that!!!" She snarled. She suddenly realized that there was an abalone necklace around her neck, with a glowing orange gem on it. The gem was, oddly enough, shaped like her cutie mark. It was a skull. Discord laughed and sat up. "Welcome to the family... Gluttony..." D.B suddenly blushed very deeply and started to get very... Aroused... Discord smirked. "But you... Can't... Win... This... Fight..." He sung. (Elsewhere) As Rainbow Dash sat on a cloud, looking out over Ponyville, all she felt was boredom. "Ugh... Why can't something exciting happen already?" She groaned. That was when she heard the scream. It wasn't any scream either. It sounded like Twilight. Rainbow jumped to her hooves, and took off towards where she heard her friend. "Don't worry Twi! I'm coming!" She shouted. She landed on the ground, and looked around. Twilight, wherever she was, screamed again. Rainbow Dash galloped down an alleyway. "Hang on, egghead! I'm coming!" She shouted again. "Not yet... But you will be..." Said a disturbing voice. Then everything went black. (Edge of the Everfree, near Fluttershy's cottage) As Dark Tendencies waited for his next victim to return home, he played with his dagger. He'd always loved the present that his parents had gotten him for his 3rd birthday. Of course, his parents were gone because of that gift. Hey! How was he supposed to know that pushing a knife into somepony would kill them? He was only three! The black pegasus grunted. "Maybe I could pass the time by having a little fun with her animals..." "I'd rather you didn't." Said a voice in response. Dark turned, yet wasn't suprised when he saw the spirit of Chaos, Discord. The pegasus rolled his eyes. "Ugh... What do you want?" He said rudely. The draconequus faked a tear. "You don't have to be so rude!" He said dramatically. Dark rolled his eyes again. "I'm not gonna play your games, Discord. What. Do. You. Want?!" He snapped. Discord offered his lions paw. "Take my paw, and I'll show you." He said, giving a sudden greasy smile. Dark raised a brow. "Why should I trust you? All you've ever done to us ponies is be deceitful and cruel." "Cruel?" Discord smirked. "You sir, have no right, to talk about being cruel." Dark shrugged. "What can I say? I'm a stone-cold killer. If I do take your paw, what's in it for me?" He asked. Discord thought about that, then grinned. "A body count." Dark suddenly warmed up to the chaotic god. "Discord? Into murder? I didn't know you had it in you, Rehab!" Dark said, grinning a little. Discord didn't seem amused at the remark. Dark started to get uncomfortable. "So uhhh... Are we g-" Dark stopped midsentence, for Discord had frozen him in place. Discord pulled a necklace out of nowhere. It wasn't an ordinary necklace either. The metal was bluish white, and was steaming like dry ice. "Murder time, Fun time!" Discord said, and wrapped the necklace around Dark's neck. Discord stepped back a little, and watched the black dagger-shaped gem begin to glow with power. Dark's quiet, threatening voice could be heard. "Playtime is over... Time to step it up..." The pegasus then dashed off into the Everfree Forest. (Ponyville Park) As Shade Shadow lounged in a tree, he thought about all the things he could have done today, but was just to lazy to do with or without help. Then something occured to him. 'How the buck did I get up in this tree?' The earth pony asked himself. (Later) Shadow only woke up when he slammed into the ground. He gasped as the wind was ripped from his lungs, and something was wrapped around his neck. The earth pony struggled to get his air back, and waited for the blur in his vision to settle. He struggled to his feet. "What the hay! Who the buck dares to wake me?" He growled. He eyes focused on a draconequus dressed as a lumberpony, with an axe draped over his shoulders. Shadow rolled his eyes. "Oh. Discord. It's just you." Discord's eyes twinkled. "Hello Slo- Err... Shadow!" Said the draq. Shadow brushed himself off, then noticed the collar. It was made of bronze, with a gem that looked like his cutie mark mounted on it. It began to glow, and suddenly, Shadow felt pain. Intense, seething, white-hot pain. Shadow fell to the ground, and began writhing in agony. "Wh-what are you doing to me?!" Discord laughed. "Setting you free..." He said. Shadow was in too much pain to hear him. (Outskirts of Ponyville) Staniel was tired of being run out of towns. Seriously! Did these ponies even know who he is? He was amazing! He was incredible! He was... Well... Staniel! 'Whatever...' He thought. 'Maybe this new town will hold better results' "Indeed it will." Said a voice behind him. Staniel whipped around, prepared to fight, but lost concentration when he actually saw the... Thing he was up against. "What the-?" Staniel was interupted by the creature. "A draconequus. It's rude to mention one's strange appearance!" The creature scolded. Staniel was suddenly uncomfortable. "Uhhh... Sorry?" He said unsurely, because it sounded as if the thing was being sarcastic. The creature extended a paw to him. "Discord! Master of Chaos, and/or Disharmony, at you're service!" He said. "Uhh... Staniel... Staniel the Unicorn..." He said, shaking Discord's paw. "Tell me, Stan... Do you still have the mirror you're mother gave you long ago?" Staniel tensed. "How did you..." Discord rolled his eyes. "Please! I'm a god. I know everything... See everything... Hear everything." He said. Staniel reluctantly used his magic to bring out the fractured mirror from his saddlebag. Discord grinned. "Perfect. Let me fix that for you..." "You can't." Staniel said suddenly. Discord rolled his eyes at Staniel's ignorance. "You may have tried every spell you know, but I am a god!" Discord said, snapping his fingers. Staniel watched in amazement as the mirror began to fix and seal itself. Pieces that Staniel had thought were lost forever appeared and popped into place. As the hoof-held mirror finally finished fixing itself, Staniel shed a few tears and hugged it. He looked up at the draq. "Th-thank you..." He said. Discord smiled. "Take a look." He suggested. Staniel looked into the mirror, and noticed a platinum necklace hanging around his neck. The gem that hung in the center took his breath away though. An Amethyst, shaped into what looked like a falling star, which, also happened to be what his cutie mark was. Discord grinned. "Welcome to the pride, Pride!" He said, and snapped his fingers. Stan then felt pain. (Canterlot Castle) Princess Celestia felt a shudder run through her body. Her sister suddenly burst through the door to the throne room. "Sister! Did thou feel it?!" She shouted. The princess of the sun gave a shaky sigh. "We must get to Ponyville right away." She said, standing up. "But... Canterlot will-" Luna tried to say. "Will not be Discord's focus. He will target Twilight and her friends first, and try to eliminate the Elements of Harmony so he cannot be stopped." Celestia said. Luna sighed. "We suppose that is correct..." She said. Celestia turned to her assistant. "Contact Princess Cadance and Shining Armour. Tell them to relocate to Ponyville immediately. Tell them that Princess Twilight is in great danger." She ordered. Her assistant nodded and scrambled away. "Shall we get going, 'Tia?" Luna asked. Celestia nodded. "We shall." > Pleased to Meet You! Hope You Guessed My Name! > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Ponyville) (3rd Person POV) Rainbow Dash groaned as she woke up. She didn't remember much after she woke up from her first blackout, but she did know that her everything hurt. She was covered in bruises and bite marks, and her fur, mane and tail had several sticky spots in them. She hated thinking about it, but she had a pretty good idea about what those spots actually were, and the thought made her shudder. All she did remember, was Twilight suddenly beginning to dominate her, and then turning into this black... thing that looked mysteriously like a cross between a Unicorn and a Changeling. This thing, had creepy empty eye-sockets with glowing yellow orbs as pupils, a dark red mane and tail with black fur, but weirdest of all, was the necklace she was wearing. It bore a striking resemblance to an Element of Harmony, just with an orange gem that she'd never seen before. The gem was glowing with power, and appeared to be feeding the creature it's... Unnaturally long stamina. 'Wait... Omigosh! I have to go tell Twilight!' She thought to herself, and started to weakly gallop towards the library. She didn't it very far. (Golden Oaks Library) "So... L-let me get this straight, auntie..." Princess Cadance said slowly. "There are these..." She began, pointing to the Elements of Harmony. "...And then there are... The Elements of... Chaos?" She asked Celestia. Celestia nodded gravely. "Yes... Although, before we go any further, I'd like all of your friends here Twilight." She said to the lavender Alicorn. Twilight looked around. Applejack was here, and so was Rarity, and Fluttershy had arrived only a few minutes ago. That still left Pinkie and Rainbow unaccounted for, which was strange, because Pinkie never misses a gathering of any sort, and Rainbow wouldn't miss something like this to save her life! Quite suddenly, a pink blur shot through the door, and hoisted a very beat up R.D. onto the table. Pinkie's mane had depoofed a little, and her eyes were puffy and red. She had been crying. Rarity and A.J. rushed forward. "Pinkie Pie, darling, whatever ha-" Rarity froze, and both she and Applejack both wrinkled their noses at a certain stench Rainbow had. Twilight turned to Princess Celestia. "What happened to her?" She asked. Celestia lowered her head. "It appears to me, that Rainbow Dash has had an encounter with one of the Elements of Chaos. Gluttony..." She said, casting a spell on Rainbow. The stench vanished, and the bruises and bitemarks that covered Rainbows body faded. She was squeaky clean now, and sighed peacefully in her sleep. Quite suddenly, a pegasus burst through the door. His body was white, and one wing was white, the other was blue however. His eyes were two-tone. One being emerald green, the other being stormcloud grey. His tail was a greyscale rainbow, but his mane was two shades of blue. Strangest of all though, to Twilight, was the cutie mark the pegasus occupied. It looked like Split Second and Blue Lightning's cutie marks combined into one solitary cutie mark. Applejack took a step back. "Who the hay ar-" "Split Lightning!" (Unknown Location) (3rd Person) As the seven ponies looked around at each other, Discord felt as if he'd just armed a supercharged nuke from the human world, and felt as if it were about to blow up in his face. The atmosphere was that. Tense. Believe when he says, that he loves a good batch of chaos, but if this went wrong... Well, that would mean failure, which IS NOT an option. Anyways, the Elements had changed a few ponies on his team in some ways. For instance. Puddle Jumper, (Or PJ, as Discord called him) was now older. When Greed sealed itself onto his neck, PJ began to grow. He went from a colt, to a stallion in just a few seconds. Last Minute and Red Thunder sat close to one another, and looked around at everypony. Red had the Envy Crown on, and for good reason. He'd literally burn away if he didn't have something or somepony sustaining him. D.B played with her necklace, having a satisfied smirk on her face as she did so. PJ was making mini-portals and sending objects like quills and scrolls through them. Dark Tendencies was carving a skull into the table using his dagger, and had dried blood stains in his fur and feathers. Shade Shadow was writing out strategies and plans of attack on a blackboard in the front of the room. Lastly, Staniel was checking his reflection in his mirror. Somepony finally decided to break the ice though. Last cleared his throat. "So... I guess I'll go first then... I'm Last Minute, and this is Red Thunder. I guess together we make the Element of Envy, which is also the controller of the Elements of Chaos. Envy rivals Kindness, which happens to be Fluttershy." He said. Red snorted. "Piece of cake." He said smugly. D.B stopped playing with her Element. "I'm Demon Beauty, but call me D.B. I rival Magic, which is Twilight Sparkle. My Element is Gluttony, which is basically Lust considering what I truly am." She said. PJ looked up at her, raising a brow. D.B stood up, there was a flash of green light, and when it died, there was another PJ in the room. "A Changeling! A mutated changeling, but a changeling none the less!" Discord said happily. D.B rolled her eyes and sat back down. Dark Tendencies coughed. "I'm Dark. Dark Tendencies. I rival Laughter... Or Pinkie Pie, but I guess I represent the Element of Cruelty." He said with a sadistic grin, then went back to his carving. PJ sighed. "I'm Puddle Jumper. I'm the Element of Greed, rivaling the Element of Generosity, or Rarity." He said, then started playing with portals again. Staniel gave a sniff. "Staniel, and the Element of Pride. I rival Honesty, or that idiot farmpony Applejack." He said, then looked back at his mirror. Shade Shadow didn't turn from the chalkboard. "I'm Shade Shadow, but just Shadow is fine. I am the Element of Sloth, rivaling Rainbow Dash, the Element of Loyalty." He said. Discord sighed in relief. "Now that we're all acquainted, and the tension has eased a little, can we get around to our first plan of attack?" He asked. Shadow turned and faced the group, smirking. "Of course." He said, looking at Red and Last. "For neither pair can live, while the other survives!" (Ponyville, Golden Oaks Library) (3rd Person) Split Lightning stood guard in front of the sleeping Rainbow Dash, not letting anyone except Nurse Redheart close. The nurse checked Rainbow's vitals, and then gave her verdict to Celestia, who sighed in relief as Redheart packed up and left. Split Lightning looked up. "Is she-" "She'll be fine. Maybe a little traumatized, but she'll overcome it and make a full recovery." Split sighed in relief. "Uhhh... Guys? Now may not be a good time for relief..." Said the terrified voice of Spike. "Look!" He said, pointing out the window. Twilight looked outside, towards where Spike was pointing. She gasped. "What are those things?!?" She asked. There were two green... Things, racing across the sky towards the town, leaving green trails across the night sky. Judging by their speed, Twilight calculated they would be here in less than a minute. Celestia, Luna and Cadance tensed. "Envy..." Celestia whispered. Twilight shuddered. She felt it too. An intense, burning desire for power and control, emanating from the two objects. Twilight found herself soaring out before anypony could stop her. Upon impact with the ground, the objects were revealed to be Last Minute and Red Thunder, as she recognized. They looked and grinned as they spotted "Princess!" Last said. "How wonderful to see you!" Red added. The lavender alicorn simply narrowed her eyes as the Crown of Magic appeared on the top of her head. Last narrowed his eyes too. "I see. 'Straight to the chase' then?" Red smirked. "Have it your way then! A little help boss?!" He shouted. There was a snap, then a bright flash of light. Twilight had to avert her eyes to avoid getting blinded. When the light died, there was only one pony standing where the two had been. A unicorn, Twilight thought, that is until the pony extended it's wings. Twilight gasped. "Impossible!!!" The newly created Alicorn grinned as a crown similar to the one she had on her head appeared on this pony's head. This crown however, was shining black, with red and green gems. "Now... How about a little duel, princess!" They spat the last word, making it sound incredibly insulting. Twilight hated it when ponies used her title to make fun and tease her. She huffed and got into a battle ready position. The alicorn across from her, took a battle ready stance as well, then quickly fired his first spell. A simple disorientation spell, as Twilight calculated. She simply threw up a shield and blocked it, then teleported behind the alicorn and fired a life-draining spell. The apposer jumped up to avoid being killed. The red and black alicorn that was formerly Red and Last narrowed it's eyes. "Okay then... Shooting to kill, are we?" His horn lit up green with dark magic, and spells started flying. After several minutes of continuous spells flying back and forth, both alicorns were severely drained of energy. As a last resort, Twilight lit up her horn with an obliteration spell, but hesitated. The apposing alicorn just narrowed his eyes. "Go ahead, Princess... Make my day... End my suffering..." He threatened. The lavender alicorn hesitated more, then sighed and her horn stopped glowing. "Heh... I knew you wouldn't do it... You're too soft..." Said the red and black alicorn. "You should know that I'm not though." He added. Several things happened at once. Red Minute fired the very spell that Twilight had been about to fire, and her guard was down. She wasn't going to be able to block it. Then, out of the blue, a blue and white streak flashed in front of her, taking the full frontal force of the spell. When Twilight opened her eyes, she saw Split Second and Blue Lightning on the ground next to eachother. Alive, just separated. She sighed in relief, but there was a snarl of rage, and the relief vanished. It was only because she recognized that voice. "Discord?!" She shouted in disbelief. The said draconequus appeared above Split and Blue, seething with rage. "I think you two have earned yourselves, a one-way ticket to banishment!!!" He snarled, a mirror appearing in his hands. Twilight's heart leaped into her throat. She knew that mirror. Discord raised the mirror above his head. "NO!!!" Screamed all four princesses, rushing towards the three. Discord brought the mirror down upon the two, but Split buck kicked Blue out of the way at the last second. The mirror came crashing down upon Split Second, and it shattered upon impact with the ground. Split had disappeared, and Blue had began to drag himself weakly back towards the library. "What have you done, Discord?!" Princess Celestia shouted. Discord sneered. "I took care of a problem, Celly." He said, then vanished along with Red Minute. Twilight, along with Applejack, helped get Blue inside. Oh Split... I hope Sunset can help you get back soon... She thought to herself. (?????) (Split's POV) All I remember was the mirror coming down on top of my head, then a swirl of colors at the same time I felt as if I was in a taffy-puller. Then I came out in sunlight, and landed on my back. I could hear whispers around me, but I didn't pay attention until I heard 5 familiar voices. I kept my eyes closed. "Oh dear, not another one..." Said somepony with a dainty accent. A high pitched one giggled. "He's cute!" A tomponyish voice that made me blush said, "Gotta agree with Pinks on that." A timid yet cute fouth said, "He seems to be pretty beat up..." A fifth southern accented said, "Yah reckon he's from your world, Sunset?" One I didn't recognize responded. "I have no doubt in my mind, AJ." As I opened my eyes, I was greeted by five... 'Humans?!' I thought to myself. Then I realized who five of them were. A strangled, "No w-way!" escaped my lips. The one I didn't recognize, Sunset, I assumed, kneeled down and helped me up. "Hello," She said. "my name is Sunset Shimmer. Welcome to the human world."
