> Evil Flower > by Aqua Shimmer > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Just Starting to Bloom > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Luna looked at her sister from where she was standing, disguised and unrecognizable. As much as she would have loved to reveal herself, her plan wouldn't allow that. She allowed herself to remain calm and wait for the ceremony to end. She smiled and looked sideways at Shining Armor. His green tinted eyes signifying the mind control he was under. She looked back at Celestia, who looked at the bride and groom. Luna found it amusing that her elder sister, who everypony thought was the wisest and most vigilante pony ever, didn't notice the curse that was placed upon one of those being wed. She could have laughed but that would have drawn unwanted attention to herself. "It is my great pleasure to announce yo-" "STOP!!!" Luna ground her teeth as the familiar voice of Twilight rang out, stopping Celestia entirely. She felt Shining tense in anger next to her and saw Twilight's friends sigh as if in defeat at the purple mare's action's. "Ugh. Why does she have to be so possessive over her brother?" Celestia gave the disguised Luna a confused look before Luna quickly noticed her mistake. "Why does she have to ruin my special day?" Luna started to pretend to cry, hoping that would cover it up. "Because it's not your special day," Luna looked up to see Cadence standing there, staring her down. "It's mine!" "What?! How did you escape my bridesmaids?" "Ah don't understand. How can there be two of 'em?" If she could, Luna could have snorted at the farm pony's incompetence. However, she was focused on what the pink princess had to say. Luna was confident Cadence didn't know her true identity. "She's a changeling." There it was. She had eaten up the lies she had told her once she was out of the way. It was an insurance that her intent was hidden from her sister and her subjects in case Cadence got out. "She takes the form of somepony you love and gains power by feeding of your love for them." Luna glared down at the princess, using her magic to make her eyes glow green. She pretended to drop her disguise but in reality, she was just changing it in a burst of green fire. "That's right and as queen of the changelings, it is up to me to find food for my subjects." Luna smiled. It was so fun to do this. She missed deceiving ponies. It was more fun then a few small lies, which she told anypony that caught her doing something she wasn't supposed to be doing. "And Equestria has more love then I have ever encountered. My fellow changelings will be able to devour so much of it we will have more power than we ever dreamed of." Oh how she missed this. The monologues, the terror on the ponies' watching faces, the adrenaline in her blood. She smiled causing more panic and fear to cross the onlooking ponies' faces. Luna stopped paying attention to what she or Cadence were saying. She looked to the side when her sister finally spoke up. "No you won't." Typical Celestia, always thinking she was in power, in control. Next thing Luna knew, she was dueling Celestia. She closed her eyes, thinking- no, knowing that she wasn't going to win. Celestia had overpowered her a thousand years ago, why shouldn't she be able to now? Luna opened one eye to see how close Celestia's beam was, however she was quite surprised to see her beam getting closer and closer to Celestia. Celestia's eyes widened as the ray of green magic hit her, causing the sun princess to be tossed to the side and her crown to be thrown of. Luna resisted running to her sister and apologizing for what she did. The ponies watching gasped and Luna smiled as she pretended that she was happy and she didn't just hurt her sister. "Shining Armor's love for you has made me even more powerful than Celestia!!!" Twilight and her friends ran to her sister's side. "The elements. Go to them. Use them to defeat the queen!" Luna saw them run away and a short while later a loud crash signaled Luna that her changelings had gotten through the force field. She was soon greeted by several of her insect-like subjects, who bowed to her as soon as they landed in front. Luna nodded then pointed to Cadence. They soon trapped the young pink princess with green goop. Luna took a few steps towards Celestia, who was trying, and failing, to get up. Her elder sister looked at her angrily. "You won't get away with this Chrysalis." "I already have and none of your petty subjects can stop me." Luna glared down at the white alicorn, almost pleading her to speak up. "Twilight will stop you. I have the utmost faith in her." Luna roared in anger and brought her hooves down on Celestia's open wing. Celestia cried out in pain. She brought them again and again with each syllable spoken. "That. Stupid. Purple. Foal. Doesn't. Stand. A. Chance!" Luna glared angrily at her sister. "Do you understand me?!" Celestia stared up at her in shock and surprise. She turned around and looked at one of the changelings who were looking at her for orders. "Put that petty princess in a cocoon, I have better things to do than talk." Luna looked out the window at the destruction her changelings were causing to the once peaceful city. She watched a purple spec followed by and orange, yellow, pink, blue and white ones. Twilight and her friends. Luna watched them sadly. Her sister trusted them more her. She cared for them more. That was why she was doing this. If her sister refused to care for her like she should, Luna was going to destroy everything she had built over the last thousand years without her. She fought back tears as she looked down at the floor. "Why can't things go back to the way they were before, Tia?" > As Situations Worsen > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Luna was growing angry as Cadence kept arguing with her and saying she wouldn't get away with this and so on and so forth. It was really quite annoying and Luna was about to order the petty pink princess in a cocoon next to her sister. "Twilight and her friends will-" Luna looked over her shoulder as the double doors opened, revealing her changelings with Twilight's friends captive. Luna smiled and looked at Cadence smugly. "You were saying?" Luna looked at Twilight, narrowing her eyes at the purple mare. She pointed a hoof at her. "Place that one in a cocoon next to Celestia." The group of mares eyes widened and the rainbow maned started struggling against the two changelings that held her in place. Luna watched curiously. "Don't you touch her!!" Luna smiled as the blue pegasus fought more. "Bring that one to me." The changelings brought Rainbow closer as the pegasus struggled and was soon wrapped in a green magic. The changelings let go and went to their queen's side. She narrowed her eyes and smiled wickedly at Rainbow. "Let me show you, what happens, when you resist." The green magic soon hid the prismatic pegasus with it's brightness. Then, the pony yelled out in pain. "RAINBOW!!!" The orange earth pony kicked out, striking one of the changelings in the head. "Contain her!" Several changelings trapped the pony in their magic. There was a bright flash and the ponies looked to see Rainbow Dash missing. They looked at her fearfully. "W-what d-did you d-do to h-her?" She looked at the scared butterscotch colored pegasus. Fluttershy, Luna remembered. The one that was scarred of almost everything. She smiled. "And why would I tell you that?" She saw the pony flinch back as Luna bared her fangs. "Do you want to go there as well?" Twilight then moved in front of Fluttershy, blocking her from Luna's view. "What. Did. You. Do?" There was a warning to the unicorn's voice that Luna laughed at. She glanced at Celestia, seeing her horrified looked from inside the cocoon. You watching, Tia? Are you seeing the fact that Twilight is failing to protect Equestria when you couldn't? Twilight was wrapped in a green magic and pulled closer to Luna. Her friends tried to get to Twilight but Luna's changelings stopped them. "So demanding. We can't have that now can we?" She looked at the others. "Put them in the dungeon then put this one in a cocoon. I'm done with this conversation." More changelings showed up and they dragged the pastel ponies away. She looked at Twilight, who was struggling. With the absence of most of the guards that were in the room, more changelings showed up. "Why?" Luna looked at the sound of the voice, and realizing Cadence was still there. "Why are you doing this? Couldn't have you and Celestia have formed a treaty instead of invading and conquering?" Luna looked at her angrily, causing Cadence to flinch at her gaze. She looked back at the trapped Celestia with pure hatred before looking back at Cadence. "So she could trap us in a contract she formed to make it better for herself?" Cadence opened her mouth to speak but Luna raised a hoof to silence her. "I understand that you are under the impression that she does things for the good of Equestria and that may be partly true but the ponies are just play things to her." "That can't be true! She cares about everypony!!" Luna smirked and shook her head. "You're young and your ignorance can be forgiven but you still need to learn a few things before you go around making claims." She looked at Cadence, but not with the anger that was there moments before, but with sadness. "She just doesn't care." The door opened and the changeling guards came back in, immediately grabbing Twilight and encasing her in a green cocoon. "TWILIGHT!!" Luna looked away from the purple mare and back to Cadence who was trying to get out of her bonds. Luna shook her head. "She'll be fine. I have no valid reason to hurt her." Cadence didn't listen and kept struggling. The changeling guards began hissing and slowly walking towards her. "Stop." The changelings looked at her expectantly. "Let's see what she does." She kept her eyes on the struggling pink mare who was beginning to piece things together. Her horn lit up and blasted the green goo the was holding her, making it disintegrate. Luna smiled and stood up taller. Cadence switched her gaze to Luna and glared at her. "There we go." She turned around and she heard Cadence charge at her. She raised her hoof and the hoofsteps stopped as Cadence was caught. "You know what to do." She walked over to where the cocoons were and looked up at Twilight. then she looked at her sister as feelings of hatred and loathing returned to her. She glared and turned around, walking away from them. "I hope you don't mind Celestia. But I think I'll have somepony else deal with the sun and moon." She smiled as she walked away. The changelings opened the door for her as she walked out of the room. As soon as the door shut she let out a sigh and lowered her head. Overthrowing the government was hard work and took forever to plan. A changeling walked up to her and looked up at her. "Luna, we need to talk." She looked down and nodded. "Of course, Volcon. My chambers are just this way. We can talk there with any unwanted attention." The changeling nodded and followed her down the long hallways. When they reached the room, Luna opened the door and they both walked in. She shut the door and turned to Volcon. "Yes?" "We have a problem."
