The Encounter
One fateful day in Manehattan a teen mare ,Cookiesncream, is walking home to her apartment . She accidentally bumps in to a handsome young blue and gray colt .There eyes meet and they both blush. They both hesitate for a moment. Then Cookiesncream finally says "Sorry, there".
The colt responds with another blush and quickly says "That's right all. It's fault my really. No I mean right all that's. No I actually mean..."
Cookiesncream stops him giggles a little and says " It's okay". The colt exhales and introduces himself, clearly happy to be out of the spotlight. He says his name is Technodude and that he works at the local radio station. He invites her to come to the radio station with him. She agrees and giggles. She thinks it will be fun.
He explains that he actually lives in the higher story above the radio station. As they both walk to the radio station they awkwardly discuss current events. They eventually reach the radio station and walk inside. Cookiesncream thinks that the radio station is totes awesome. Technodude walks over to a DJ table and lays down a steady beat. Cookiesncream joins in by singing. Together they sound awesome. They do that for a moment then when it ends the both laugh. Cookiesncream leaves after a while and Technodude is left gawking. He runs upstairs to tell his best friend and roommate about his meeting of this beautiful mare. Then it dawns on him that he didn't even ask for her name (or number for that matter). He feels so stupid and is in a horrible mood by the time he gets upstairs. His anger at himself shows on is face and his friend Pokesketch asks him what's wrong. Technodude just answers with a depressed sigh. He thinks about the possibility of never seeing her again.
Meanwhile Cookiesncream is skipping home feeling like the happiest mare in all of Equestria. She eventually reaches her apartment complex and begins the slow climb to her story and individual apartment. The climb up the stairs usually wears her out but it doesn't this time. She's to happy to be worn out. Finally she reaches her apartment only to find her roommate playing on her phone again.
"Bunnyhops, get off of my phone" says for the Cookiesncream for the gazillionth time. Bunnyhops, realizing that Cookiesncream has returned home quickly drops the phone and asks with the worst poker face ever "What phone????".
Cookiesncream knowing this would happen from experience says "Hops your awesome girl, but you got to stop stealing my phone!".
Eventually Bunnyhops surrenders and says in a defeated voice "O.K." .Things then go back to normal. Cookiesncream is so eager to tell Bunnyhops about the mysterious meeting of the colt.
Cookiesncream starts of the conversation with a laidback voice and says "Sooooooo do you want to hear what happened today???? . Do ya, do ya?" Bunny hops replies with a vigorous and eager shake of her pink and white head. "Well,so,I was just strolling along home minding my own business when BAM! I bump head first into a handsome young colt!"
"Ooooowaooo",Bunnyhops chimes in with a devilish grin on her face."So, he was cute huh? Oh, was he muscular or brainy? Blue eyes or green? Long mane or short? I have so many questions!!!!!"
"Well for one thing I'm not even done telling the story Hops!"yells Cookiesncream rather loudly. Cookiesncream then walks over to her bed and takes of her worn saddlebags. She'd almost forgotten they were there and was reminded by an itch in her side.
Finally,to break the silence Bunnyhops goes"Well,tell me what happened then if your going to criticize me for being curious."
Cookiesncream starts to regret yelling at her curious friend.She knows that Bunnyhops is just happy and excited for her and wants to know all the details. She sits down on her bed and sighs very loudly. Bunnyhops droops her head as a scolded child would do.
Cookiesncream feels so bad she just oozes out an apology.
"I am so sorry Bunnyhops. I shouldn't have yelled at you. I know that your just trying to be supportive and eager. I just am suddenly pushed in the mess of life called romance. sigh."Cookiesncream feels so good to have that out. She's sure that Bunnyhops will accept her heartfelt apology.
Bunnyhops answers with a happy smile saying "I knew you would come around!". Bunnyhops walks over to Cookiesncream's bed and sits down next to Cookiesncream. Cookiesncream's very old bed creaks under their weight.
Bunnyhops then bursts out "Aw man, I just remembered I promised I'd help splatter shop for paint."
Bunnyhops hurriedly grabbed her worn saddlebags and hurriedly exits the apartment and building. Cookiesncream could hear the hurried hoof steps until they faded entirely.
Cookiesncream just sits there and then her bed finally breaks with a crash. "Great,just great."she then gets up and lays on the floor with her blankets nestled around her and and almost immediately falls into a heavy sleep. She wakes up the next morning instinctively heading toward the fridge. She drowsily opens it and grabs a few carrots and starts chewing. When she's done eating she goes to check if Bunnyhops has returned. She's startled to find that Bunnyhops' bed is still empty and hasn't changed. She soon finds a green note stuck to the door. It reads "Sorry Cream, I just realized that my great and Hilda is coming to town. I have to meet her at Town Square. See ya later!"
Cookiesncream upon reading the note started thinking "Wait, Hops has an aunt Hilda?"
Cookiesncream quickly made herself a cup of coffee and headed out the apartment to figure out what was really going on. Bunnyhops has never lied to me before, maybe she's not lying now. I just don't have a good feeling about this Aunt Hilda. To be continued.
