Lane Cooper is a 17 year old from a small town in Missouri. He wakes up one day to see that his world is gone and replaced with one with ponies of different personalities and wants. Join him as he goes through this new adventure.
It was official, Lane hated his job with a passion. Every night was the same, come in at 5:00pm during a rush hour and start washing dish's.
That wasn't even the start. His boss could hardly speak english good enough for him to understand. He was also mean as hell to him as well for getting behind during the rushs.
But the absolute worse thing was that he had to work late into the night with no one there, because he had to get every fucking dish done before he went home. It was horible.
And he couldn't drive for other reasons that he doesn't like to mention.
So he trudged slowly to the house he owned. He was 17 almost 18 years old, he was overweight a little bit. He also had clean cut dark brown hair. He looked completly normal exept for one thing, he was wearing sunglasses in the dark. He could see perfectly fine he just wore them to hide his...problem. he also wore a big bulky coat for the rain and other reasons. The only other thing he had on his person was a class ring that his father gave him before he died.
lane smiled as he got to the front door of his house remembering the fun his dad and he had fun. That had all changed one day as his father had been out doing a construction job and he didn't see a kid messing with a nail gun. It had hit both major arteries in his neck, he had bled out before the paramedics could get to him.
He shook those memeries out of his head. HE was now in the house and went to take a shower. After he was sone he was so tired he dexided to skip dinner and go to bed.
He put his fathers class ring next to his bed and laid down to take a long deserved rest.
*SMASH*
Lane eyes shot open as the noise,he also felt his house give an almighty lurch, and aat the pain of him falling off the bed onto his head. He picked up his ring that had fallen off the bedstand and put it on his finger.
He walked out into the halway and saw his entire house was a complete mess, everything was knocked over.
he walked over to his front door to see if his nieghborhood was okay and if anyone needed some help. He opened the door and stood there, his mouth somewhere below his knees. The outside had different scenery and looked cartoony.
But that wasn't the weirdest thing in the least, in the distance he could swear he saw a small town. Not filled with people nut filled with brightly colored miniture horses. He then thought that they must be ponies. He could also swear that they were talking and conversing with each other. But that was impossible, it defeated simple logic.
But, then he saw that the ponies were looking a him. He moved and one of the ponies screamed and the entire town went apeshit crazy.
Lane got scared and looked for a place to hide.
'House would be too obvious,' he thought quickly.
He then thought of using his special ability.
'No,'he thought to himself 'I don't want to cause more havoc than i already have'
He then saw an apple orchard and made the desicion to hide there. They wouldn't be able to find him in there. He picked an apple as he ran into the trees.

It was absolute chaos outside the Ponyville library and Twilight couldn't figure out why. She tried asking ponies but they just kept running. She decided to do something she hadn't done yet as ruler.
"STOP!!!" said Twilight in the Royal Canterlot voice, making all the ponies stop and look at her.
"All right," she said a little winded and a scrachy throat, "Why are you all running around screaming?
One stallion stepped up and bowed, "Your highness, there is a monster that dropped from the sky and ran into the apple orchards. But before it did, it made a move towards Ponyville and we all ran."
"Are ya saying there's a monster in MY orchard?" said Applejack coming out of the library follewed by the rest of the gang.
"Yes ma,am." said the pony getting up from his bow.
"Get the elements Rarity," said Twilight, "We have to check this out." Rarity nodded and went to get them.
Twilight looked towards the orchards. "I hope we can solve this without violence." said Twilight, "SPIKE! Send a leter to Princess Celestia that says what happened here." "Already on it Twi," said a small purple dragon. Spike finished the letter and rolled into a red ribbon, he then blew his green flame on the parchment to send it to the ruler of the sun. "Alright girls lets go."
"But Twilight, what if its a nice creature?" asked the timid yellow pegasus as the reached the edge of the orchard.
Twilght thought this over, "Well then we'll just ask it what its doing." "Oh. Ok." said Fluttershy quietly.
Dash then came from the orchard and told then she saw acreature in the middle of the orchard.
"Did it see you," said Applejack intently.
"I think it saw me fora split second while I was coming to get you," said Rainbow,"It looks really weird."
"Now we know where it is, lets go look for it, " said Twilight running into the orchard with the mares following behind.

'Oh shit!' Lane thought as he say a blue pony flying over him.
"So apparently they have pegesi here whats next unicorns and dragons?" he said to himself as he walked quickly through the trees.
He walked for good ten minutes, according to his watch, when he started hearing the noises behind him. He started to run and found his way blocked by a wall of translusence pink stuff. he turned aroud and saw a pony with a horn that was glowing.
'Well I guess they really do have unicorns,' he thought to himself,' I am going to have to use my ability to get out of here.'
He tore off his coat and felt his shirt rip as his twenty foot wingspan flared open.

'Got ya,' thought Twilight as she put a wall of magic around him.
The creature was strange in her eyes. it was bipedal and it only had hair on the top of its head and stubble on its chin.
Then it did something she didn't expect, it threw off part of its clothing and it shirt ripped as huge wings came off his back. So when she saw that she panicked.
she accidently overcharged her horn past what she had ever done before. even when she hatched Spike. It flung off her horn rght at the creatures claw that had a ring on it.

As Lane opened up his wings, he saw all the ponies eyes widen and they screamed at him. He was able to look at the purple unicorn shoot a bolt of what seemed to be purple energy. it hit the ring on his hand and all he felf was excrusiating pain. he felt himself scream the loudest he ever had and blacked out.
Lane was in a dark endless void and he was confused.
"Am I dead?" He wondered aloud, his voice distorted slightly.
"No your not dead," said a voice in the void, " just merly sleeping."
"Who are you?" he asked looking around.
A figure started walking into his field of vision, but something was off. It looked like it was walking oddly almost as if it was walking on four feet and it was shaped oddly. When the owner of the voice could be seen clearly Lane couldn't believe his eyes. It was a pony but it had a horn and wings. It was also the color of the pony. It was dark blue and had a mane that looked like a clear night sky. It also looked like it was wearing reagaliea. Lane was confused until it spoke.
"Why are you staring at me like that?"
Lane shook himself. 'Did that pony just speak?'
The pony replied, "Yes I did, and my name is Princess Luna. And who are you? You caused a bit of chaos at Ponyville."
"You can read minds?" Lane said slightly nervous.
"No," said Luna quickly, " only when your dreaming I can."
Lane rubbed his head, "Now I'm going to guess this Ponyville is the town I saw."
Luna nodded and said," Indeed, I have another question to ask you."
Lane looked up at the princess.
"What is that ring on your finger for?"
Lane was puzzled," It was my fathers class ring it doesn't do any thing special."
Luna looked at him closely, " Your not lieing, that's odd then."
"Why?"asked Lane, "Did something happen to it?" He was now almost in a panic. It was the only thing his father gave him.
"No," said Luna calming his fears, "but we can't get the ring off your finger and every time we touch it, it shocked us."
Lane thought for a moment, " It shouldn't do that."
Luna thought as well, "Well I guess you can tell everypony when you wake up. See you soon."
Luna then faded and Lane was left alone again. He thought of what she was saying about his ring. It didn't do anything special. It was just a gold ring with a dark purple stone he couldn't remember the name to. He kept thinking until a bright light showed up, it blinded him and he was sure he heard voices. --------------------------------------- Slowly Lane woke up and found himself in a hospital bed. His wings and limbs were strapped down and very uncomfortable. He also noticed his dark sunglasses were off. His ring was still on though just as Luna said.
He heard the door open and he slammed his eyelids close. He moved his ears towards the sound that appeared to be hooves.
"Are you awake," said a small timid voice.
Lane thought about staying still and then decided to nod. No point in lieing.
"Good, so could you look at me. If you want to I mean."
Lane shook his head and decided to speak.
"If you put my sunglasses back on me I'll talk more."
He heard some shuffling and he felt the familiar feel of plastic and metal. He also saw through his eyelids the room get darker. He opened his eyes and saw a soft yellow pegasus with light pink hair. She was looking excitedly at Lane.
Lane cleared his throat, "Why am I strapped down exactly and more important who are you?"
"Oh I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is um... Fluttershy. And your strapped down because Twilight doesn't want you to attack."
Lane started to laugh, "Attack? Why would I do that? If I was going to attack you don't you think I'd do it by now? And that reminds me these things are uncomfortable."
Lane broke all the bonds holding him down and stood up and walked to a nearby armchair and sat.
"Much better, don't you think so too Flutterby right?"
Fluttershy stood there amazed. Those straps were reinforced with magic. Nothing should of broke them.
"Actually my name is Fluttershy and would you excuse me for a moment?"
Lane nodded and she backed out of the room.

Fluttershy walked out and shut the door.
"So," said Twilight, " Is he a threat or not?"
"I don't think so but he is really strong."
"Why would you say that, asked Twilight.
"Well remember those straps that you strengthened with magic?" Twilight nodded, " Well he broke out of them and now is sitting in the armchair in their."
Twilight stood there with one eye slightly twitching.
"He got out?!! This I have to see." ------------------------ Lane sat back and thought as the yellow pony walked out. He might of seemed cool and collected on the outside but on the inside he was freaking the fuck out.
‘Im in a world filled with colorful, talking ponies. This doesn’t make since, I went to sleep in my bed and now I’m here.’
He heard the door sqeak open and he recollected himself into what resembled a calm facial expression. A purple pony walked in and what caught Lane’s eye was the horn on top of its head, he thought for a moment and remembered that this was the pony that caused him to black out.Before he had a chance to lash out at the pony she talked first.
“How in Equestria did you get out of those straps they were re-enforced with magic. Not even a mad hydra could of gotten out of those!”
Lane stared at her for a second and decided to tell her the truth about himself.
“Well I don’t know what a hydra is but my wings have enough power to break through diamonds. And my name is Lane what is yours?”
The purple pony looked at him shocked, her eyes wide, “ You can break diamond? The only thing that can break diamond is dragon teeth and a magic condenser laser..”
Lane gestured with his hand to get her to answer the rest of his question.
The pony shook herself out of her stupor and cleared her throat before answering. “Sorry you just shocked me a little, my name is Twilight Sparkle. Well i guess its now Princess Twilight Sparkle.” she ruffled her wings that i didn’t see before.
‘Great,’ thought Lane to himself, ‘I’m talking to royalty, my ass is toast.’
“Can I ask you a few questions?” ask Twilight.
Lane sighed and nodded, knowing what the first question would be.
“Where are you from, how did you get here, and what does your ring do?” said Twilight in quick presession.
“I am from the Planet Earth,” Lane started, “More exact Cape Girardeau, Missouri in the United States of America. I am the only one of my kind in that world since I'm the only one who has wings, but thats a different story. I really don’t know how I got here. One minute I’m laying in my bed, my cat snuggling into my side as always,and the next thing I know I bash my head against the floor and I’m in a different world. As for the ring, I have no idea why it's shocking you its just a regular ring.”
The second Fluttershy heard about a cat she was worried.
"Do you think she is ok with the house? I don't want her to hurt. Umm..... If the cat is a she, " said Fluttershy with a small smile.
"I'm sure she is fine, cats always land on her feet. And her name is Carly if you're wondering."
Lane waved his hand when he mentioned his cat's name and he saw Twilight and Fluttershy hit the deck. Suddenly a bright flash of light came from his hand and hit the wall charring it.
He stared at the wall and Twilight was about to yell when she saw him staring at the wall in disbelief.
"What just happened?" Lane looked at his hand and saw that his ring was glowing purple and gold. The stone itself was glowing as well.
"Well that's new".
"What?" asked Twilight confused.
"My ring," Lane started slowly, "it's never done that before. It's just my fathers old class ring. Let me take it off."
Lane pulled off the ring and showed it to the two slightly shaken mares. Twilight tried to pick it up but the ring shocked her hard enough to cancel out her magic. She tried to hold it and it shocked her harder and sent her to the ground.
"Are you ok?" Lane asked her anxiously, "I really don't want to go to prison for hurting royalty. Wait why should that matter. I'm not part of your kingdom. But I am in your custody."
"I'm ok. Your ring has a defense mechanism of some sort so somepony can't steal it. That's my theory anyway."
"Wait, wait......wait," said Lane, "Why would my ring have a defense thing? I didn't put anything on it."
Twilight thought and a idea came to her, "Well it might of happened when I shot your...hoof with magic. I kinda overloaded it and it hit you".
'No shit you think, you walking nuclear reactor?'
"Ok," Lane said, "so I am in a different world. With ponies, that look like they were colored by 4 year olds. And I am the only human talking to a pony princess that could fry my ass at any point of time, do I got most of that right?"
Twilight nodded, "Pretty much. The only thing you missed is the part that we can't send you home now".
Lane looked at her quickly, "Why not. If I can get here then I can certainly get back. Just use the spell that you used to get me here."
"Well that the problem," said Twilight, "we didn't actually use a spell to get you. It was fate. Mother Faust came to me and the other princesses in a dream. She said a new creature would come from the heavens, a creature of another world. She said they would help us."
"Help you with what?" Lane inquired.
Twilight looked in his eyes, "Help us save pony kind, from absolute destruction."
