They had failed. Chrysalis had won. Her maniacal laughter echoed throughout the hall as the elements of harmony, the princesses, and the rest of the crowd stared horrified at the spot where Twilight Sparkle had been standing proud just moments before, now impaled and dying as the spear kept her from moving as her lifeblood ran out onto the ground. "Fools! See what happens when you rely on foals to save the day!? Hahahahahaha!" Chrysalis's words sent the entire room into a panic, all of the wedding guests practically teleporting out the door in an effort to save their own skins, while Twilights friends and family rushed do the dying unicorns side.

"Twilight! Twilight! Wake up! This isn't funny!" The cries, no, pleads, for Twilight to be alright were drowned out in the unicorns ears as she started to close her eyes. She had failed, she had tried to warn them, and now she was dying because they refused to listen. She was paying the price for the selfishness of the ones she had called friends. She had always been truthful to them, and they repaid her by stabbing her in the back because they wanted to wear a frilly dress.

"You are just giving up?" the voice rang out in the darkness of her failing brain. Her eyes snapped open, not to the crumbling walls of a castle under siege, but to her mindscape, slowly darkening as she slipped further into the void. Her attention was drawn to the shadows in from of her, as three pairs of eyes opened and gleamed in the darkness.

"I don't think she is worthy to wield our power." a different voice than before rang out, it's hissing quality rousing her ire as she was reminded of the one who had impaled her and enslaved her brother.

"Ahhh, I believe you made her angry" came another voice, this one holding so much malice that she unconsciously shuddered.

Twilight was rapidly growing annoyed at talking to shadows, so she expressed it as loud as she could. "I've talk to too many shadows lately, was stuck in underground for who knows how long, got walked out on by the same ponies I thought I could trust and was just impaled! I'm most likely dying right now and it sounded like you wanted something, so either get your plots out here and tell me, or I just finish dying and you have to wait even longer to make your deal!"

The shadows were quiet for a second, then dark chuckling boomed out through the mental landscape. "You have much courage, small one, talking to us like that. Very well, we shall show ourselves."

The shadows retreated, and the owners of the voices were revealed. The unicorn's eyes widened and she took several steps back, for what was revealed made her aware of how easily she could be wiped out. The three titans before her made even the mighty Ursa Major look tiny. The first resembled Spike in form, it was navy blue/purple with massive crystals on each shoulder, crystalline spikes that looked like crystal leaves running down it's back to the end of a crystal tipped tail. It stood on two bulky legs, each as big around as an Ursa, both of which were attached to a almost barrel shaped body, along with two slightly less brawny arms. It's head looked like a blunted dragons head and on its forehead sat a horn in the shape of a trident, enhancing it's already ferocious appearance.

The next nor could only be described as a monstrosity straight from the depths of Tartarus. It was a bright, blood red with massive needle like teeth. The rest of its body could only be described as gargoylesque in appearance, as it was far stouter than the other one. The most striking things that stood out were the chest part that looked like a flower, and the face. The face was something that even the dreaded Nightmare Moon would run screaming in terror from. It's single horn, soulless yellow eyes, the frills, and the teeth were all etched into the dying mares darkest thoughts, ensuring that she would have nightmares about it for the rest of her life.

The final one also resembled Spike, but the resemblance was far easier to tell for this one. (Godzilla; Final Wars appearance) It was bipedal, with dark grey skin held numerous scars and pits in it, testaments to its many past battles and victories and proof that this thing was strong and tough. Three rows of off-white spikes with a grey center ran down its back, all of them resembling flames that had been frozen into a uniform shape. It's arms were a bit slimmer than the other two, as was its entire body, but Twilight had no doubt that it was the strongest in the room, as both of the others seemed to regard it with a combination of fear, respect, and almost reverent regard. It's head was like a mix of mammal and reptile, with bright orange-red eyes that held a storm of sadness, pain, loneliness, wisdom, and most of all, power. The sheer ferocious power that was held within those eyes was enough to make Twilight almost bow in respect, and all of its attention was focused on her. And it scared her.

"W-w-what are you?" Twilight stammered out, trying and failing to keep herself from shaking in fear of these beings. The grey one shook its head.

"There is no time for that now. We have a deal that you may be interested in."

Twilight perked up at that, her curiosity piqued. A deal? What kind of deal could they possibly have?

"Yes, a deal. In exchange for our power and saving your life, you must take up the mantle of the Kaiju." The grey one stared at her waiting for the answer.

"Huh? Kaiju? What are those?" Twilight asked, unable to help herself. She cursed at the wasted time as even the giants started to fade out of view.

"No time. Do you accept?." It's eyes bored into hers, still waiting for its answer.

Twilight didn't need to be told twice. She looked back at the Titan, her mind already made up. Then she spoke the two words that would send fate and destiny spiraling out of control, ripping them to shreds in the wake of deviation.

"I accept."

The giant seemed to smile, then turned serious again. "Very well, take our power and use it well. But be warned, it is easy to lose yourself with it, and loose sight of what you hold dear. Do not loose yourself to rage. You must make the choice. Monster, or protector?"

Outside of Twilights mindscape, the other had been glued to the floor or in pods, while Twilights body had been moved to the wall in some sort of mockery of a prized specimen in some scientist's bug collection. All of them were mourning the loss of Twilight, some for different reasons than others. Chrysalis was at the window laughing as all the ponies in Canterlot were rounded up and glued in place with the goo that all changelings seemed to be able to secrete, making the guard useless as they were overwhelmed by the numbers and wits of the creatures. As such, no pony noticed when Twilight twitched, then started moving.

Twilight slowly regained consciousness, almost thinking it was a dream if not for the sickly green spear that was stuck in her chest. She then felt the power that had been promised flowing through her veins, but then felt the fury that had taken root fill her with even more. She gave a growl, causing all eyes to be on her as she flexed and shattered all the spears in her chest as her anger rose and rose.

The queen was horrified. The pony that she had personally killed, back from the dead? She screeched as she tossed another spear at the mare, this time making it big enough to reduce her torso to ash and make sure that she didn't come back again. The spear flew at top speed straight towards the pony, who didn't even make a attempt to dodge. It struck home, much to Everyponies horror, but that quickly turned to bewilderment and astonishment. The spear only sunk a few inches in, causing the pony it was trying to impale to look at it with a bored look. The queen went from cocky to fearful as the pony turned her burning gaze onto her, glaring at her with bright red orange eyes. Twilight let a terrifying grin spread slowly across her face, before she spoke the two words that sealed the Changeling queens fate. "My turn."

Twilight let all her pent up rage and power explode out of her, making sure that the raw magic was harmless to ponies. The castle walls crumbled as it was leveled, along with half of the city, but not before turning every changeling in a three mile radius into dust or causing enough damage to have them die slow, painful, agonizing deaths. And at the center of it all, stood Twilight Sparkle, heaving as all the events of the past two days caught up with her and caused her to collapse in the center of the crater she had made, asleep and dreaming peacefully.

The staff at Canterlot Medical had seen a lot in their time, but the sight of the princess barreling toward them with a pony on her back and shouting for the doctors was one they never thought they would see. Celestia skidded to a halt in front of them, heaving and lowering her wings for them to see the pony that needed treatment. To their immense surprise, it was Twilight Sparkle, the Slayer of the Nightmare and Conquerer of Discord.

"Get the medic out here, now! I want her treated and given a full magic infusion, right now!" Celestia thundered. The staff had started running to there stations by the time she opened her mouth, but once the words magic infusion registered, they stopped and stared in shock. Magic infusion was not to be taken lightly, as even the most powerful unicorns had succumbed to death because of their bodies rejecting the magic. At the very least, only one in 200 ever retained the ability to use magic, and even then there magic was cut in half at most. Whatever happened had to have been serious! They jolted out of their stupor when the princesses hoof struck the ground with enough force to crack the tile.

Celestia handed over her unconscious student, hoping against hope that the doctors would be able to drive out whatever corruption that had taken hold in her student. She attempted to follow the doctors to the operating room, only the be stopped by one of the nurses that came out. ''I'm sorry, your highness, but only doctors past this point. Safety reasons." Celestia opened her mouth to object, but closed it again when she remembered the others that were waiting for her outside, so she sighed and nodded her acknowledgement. She turned and walked out the door, straight into the barrage of questions that both Twilights friends and family had. "My little ponies, please, I can't answer your questions if I can't understand them."

The others calmed down a bit, then rainbow asked the question that they where all thinking. "Princess, is Twilight gonna be ok?"

Celestia took a look at all the ponies that were gather around her, inwardly cringing at the hopeful looks that came from them. She chose her next words carefully, or she could cause more damage than before. She wanted to tell them that Twilight would be okay, oh how she wanted to, but she couldn't know until she was out of the OR. "I-I don't know," she finally sighed. "Whatever she used to do that pulse is completely unknown to me, but seemed to share many characteristics with dark magic."

Everypony gasped in horror. Twilight using dark magic was something none of them wanted to hear in the same sentence.

meanwhile in the operating room

The doctor that was leading the diagnostic was reporting progress. "We are at 13% diagnostic, but other than exhaustion, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with- wait a second! What is that!" The nurses had picked up a peculiar energy signature that was centered around Twilights heart, but it was around two times hotter than the average pony internal body temperature. It started to gain power as it spread to other areas of her body. They were about to try to get a sample when two things happened, 1-their machines exploded, and 2- Twilights body started glowing.

Twilight's body started shifting, her horn flattening against her head and turning trident shaped (SpaceGodzilla horn), as her hair started spiking up, along with the fur on her back growing both longer and shaggier. Her height tripled, putting her at half a head taller than Big Mac, and twice as muscular, her hooves turning an ivory color. Her coat turned grey as her mane and back fur turned a off-white color, and her teeth turned into shark-like teeth. Her tail became a few inches longer as it turned white like her mane and spiked up even more than her mane. Finally, her eyes snapped open as they turned a brilliant orange-red and burned with both unnatural fury and the very fires of hell.

Twilight slowly turned her head from side to side as she took in her surroundings. White walls, broken hospital machinery, canisters containing pure white magic, and terrified doctors and nurses met her angry red gaze. She rolled herself off the bed, her hooves hitting the floor with a heavy thud, and drew herself up to her full height. She then turned her gaze onto the canisters as she walked towards them, licking her lips at the thought of gaining the sustenance. Twilight stopped at the canisters, drew her hoof back, and punched straight through the metal.

She stood on her hind legs and plunged her muzzle into the container, her mane starting to glow as she did so. The magic was drawn to her mouth as she inhaled as deep as she could, going down her gullet and leaving behind the taste of vanilla ice cream as she did. She repeated the process twice more, one for each canister, before she felt the impact of something hitting her neck. Twilights head whipped around to see the fool who dared to attack her, eyes burning and glowing bright crimson. Her line of site settled on a doctor who was holding the remains of a heart monitor, shaking as he realized that all he had done was draw attention to himself.

Twilight just stared at him, wondering what to do. He obviously couldn't hurt her, and he wasn't somepony she was mad at. She sat there for a few seconds before deciding to just knock all of them out. She gathered her power for less than a second, and then let loose a pulse. All the medics in the room where down for the count, so Twilight turned around, facing the wall that separated her, from outside. Twilight took a breath, her power gathering in her throat as she did so, then released, blowing a hole in the wall and giving her a way out. She wasted no time in jumping out and disappearing into the crowd.

Twilight started smiling. She looked so different now that she could cut loose without anyone bothering her for at least a few hours. 'Lets go clubbing!' she thought as she walked to the Dragons Hoard. She smirked as she walked in, finally free to do what she wanted, and free from the nagging that would've most likely followed her operation. 'I hope the others like the present I left them' Twilight thought with a smirk as she walked up to the bar, ready to finally cut loose after all these years. 'This is gonna be a good night.

Cadence and the others looked around the room horrified at the destruction. Wires dangled down from the ceiling, melted metal and shattered glass littered the floor, and several doctors and nurses were thrown up against the wall, all unconscious. The rest of the room was open to the elements, as it looked like the entire wall had been melted and blown apart.

"What the buck happened here?" Was Rainbow Dashes oh so eloquent response, voiceing what all of them were thinking. Celestia rushed over to the doctors, quickly casting a scanning spell on them. She sighed in relief as he scan reviled that they were only unconscious, then casted another spell to wake them up. The first one to wake up stirred slowly, her eyes almost not opening. Celestia leaned down to poke her, then the nurses eyes shot open with a scream.

"Monster!!"

Celestia jumped at the declaration, almost believing that they were talking about her, but immediately dismissed the thought, as the obviously traumatized ponies quickly grabbed onto her while shivering as if they had just encountered Tartarus himself. The subtle prods and inquiries of the princess had no effect on them, as they just kept shaking in their horseshoes. Cadence, ever the comforter, quickly cast a couple of calming spells on the poor doctors. They calmed down enough to answer the questions that princess Celestia was asking them. After the Q&A session, they quickly met back with the others.

"Princess," Rarity asked, "what do you think about this?"

Princess Celestia was busy digesting the information that they had just gained. Her faithful student had become some sort of monster pony, and was apparently capable of doing even greater damage than before.

"We must find Twilight, before she hurts anypony else." Celestia declared.

"Auntie, I know you mean well, but wouldn't the best course of action right now be to let Twilight cool down and talk to her when she's calmer?" Cadence asked. Celestia ignored Cadence and began giving instructions to the others to find Twilight by looking in the places she would most likely be. Seeing that she was being ignored, Cadence slipped out, and headed to the nightlife district as she had a gut feeling that Twilight wouldn't want to be found, so she would avoid the normal spots.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Twilight was having the time of her life! For once, she could let loose! Not worry about opinions! And simply relax with nothing looming over her head. No test, no disasters, and most of all, no-one telling her what she had to do.

"Another, please!" she called to the bartender.

"Coming right up!" was followed by a fresh cider. Twilight grabbed the cider and chugged it down, relishing in the sweet appley flavor. She was tapping her hoof to the beat that the DJ was spinning, about to get down and head to the dance floor when she heard a soft, almost disbelieving "Twilight?"

Twilight stiffened, and slowly turned around. No one should know about her yet, the doctors shouldn't have woken up for hours. She nearly dropped her half-full mug of cider when she saw just who had discovered her.

"Cadence?" Her old foalsitter was staring at her with a mix of curiosity, worry, and a little bit of fear. Twilight carefully slid off the chair and walked over to Cadence, keeping an ear out for the others incase this was a trap. When she got over to Cadence, Twilight threw her forelegs around her old foalsitter, elated to see her after the bad day she had been having.

"Cadence! How are ya doing? And how did ya find me?" Twilight shot off questions as questions as fast as a bullet, not giving Cadence a chance to respond to the rapid-fire questions coming from the younger pony's mouth.

"Twilight, at least let me answer one of the questions." Cadence laughed, interrupting Twilights rapid-fire questioning. She was glad that Twilight hadn't attacked her on sight, but why hadn't she gone to her friends?

"Cadence." Said alicorn looked u to see Twilight giving her an odd mixture of deadpan and angry expressions. "You really need to fix that mumbling what your thinking problem. It's gonna get you in trouble one day. As for attacking you, your not one of the ones I'm angry at."

Twilight turned back to her cider, her good mood ruined by the mumbled question. So that's what Cadence was here for, she was here to find her and either take her back or stall until the others got here. She didn't blame Cadence, after all she most likely only knew their version of events, but this was making her very angry.

"Cadence, it was nice talking to you again, but I gotta go." Twilight said, getting up and heading to the door. ignoring her old foalsitters pleas for her to wait. She was contemplating the best way out of Canterlot undetected when she was blindsided by two different blurs, one blue and one orange, and was sent to her knees.

She shook the spots out of her vision and glared at the offenders, but when she got a good look, her rage shot through the roof. Sitting right in front of her, were two of the ponies that betrayed her, and that she had secretly nursed a soft spot for, Applejack and Rainbow dash.
