Twilight was trodding down the halls of the castle towards the library, when Princess Cadence tackled her.
"Wahh!" Twilight yelled in surprise crumpling to the floor
"Twilight!" Cadence yelled getting of her friend
"Cadence!" Twilight smiled
"Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake, clap your hooves and do a little shake!" The both chanted doing their little dance.
"I haven't seen you in forever it seems!" Cadence smiled
"I know!" Twilight grinned so hard her muzzle hurt
"Oh, Princess Celestia wants you." Cadence said
"Ok! Shall we be off your highness?" Twilight questioned joking
"We shall your majesty." Cadence said returning the humor
Together they were off galloping down the halls of the castle to the throne room chatting their hooves off.
"Your majesty" Cadence and Twilight said bowing
"You may rise." Celestia said smiling
"Why did you summon us?" Twilight inquired
"We are having an important guest." Celestia answered
"Who is it?" Cadence also asked
"The High Doctor of Canterlot Castle Commons." Celestia said with all seriousness
"Wow big title" Cadence mumble to Twilight making her giggle.
"I expect you to welcome him and mind your manners. Including not giggling at his title." Celestia smiled teasing the two Princess. Cadence and Twilight couldn't contain their laughter anymore. Celestia, Cadence, and Twilight all burst into nays of laughter.
"Enough fun for now. Go get ready to welcome the doctor." Celestia said calming herself
"Ok, goodbye your highness." Both girls said respectively
After getting ready, they welcomed the doctor and he was a stiff 40 year old colt with jet black hair. They showed the doctor to his room and left him in peace. Near Twilight's room they started talking again.
"I can't believe it! He was so rude and has no sense of humor!" Cadence was mad
"You think he would be polite and would be forgiving." Twilight said embaressed and enraged
During their welcome, Twilight's wings accidentally popped up and hit the doctor in the muzzle. After that, he lectured them on how true Princesses should be able to control her wings or she can't control a kingdom.
"Goodnight." Twilight said going in her room
"Goodnight Twilight and don't let what he said get you." Cadence said troding to her room.
Spike was already asleep when Twilight came in. Trying not to wake him she plopped into bed. That night Twilight didn't sleep well. She kept having nightmares about her getting her own kingdom and the whole kingdom burning down the first day. Twilight woke up with a start and saw it was only 3am.
"That is it! I am going to the library to find out about wing control and Princess's duties." Twilight thought climbing out of bed
Tip hoofing down the hall she heard something and galloped swiftly but softly behind a curtain. Twilight heard the doctor's voice and Prince Blueblood!
"I found the records of your birth your highness and found something amazing!" the doctor whispered
"What?" the Prince said pompusly
"You were switched at birth.You are not the real Prince of Equestria" the doctor said
"If you are joking it is so not funny!" Fake Prince Blueblood said angrily but still quiet
"I am not joking. The real Prince was kidnapped and replaced by you in secret at the hospital." the doctor said with as seriousness
"Thank you doctor you may leave now." the "Prince" said trying to contain his anger
When Twilight thought they were gone she trotted out knocking over a vase.
"Oh no!" Twilight thought as she heard a voice say
"Stop!" .
Freaking out she ran. All of a sudden a 2 pairs of hooves knocked her to the ground and jumped on top of her!
"Flash Sentry?" Twilight said blushing
"Your highness!" Flash said jumping off and bowing, "I am asorry for my rudeness. I thought you were an intruder."
"It is my fault. I thought you were oh never mind." Twilight said blushing harder
"Well be careful and go back to your room until morning." Flash advised
"Ok." Twilight said trotting/strutting to her room
Half way to her room she remembered about the Prince! She started back down the hall to talk to Princess Luna who is always awake at this time. When she got to Princess Luna's room, she knocked on the door. No one answered. She knocked again still no answer.
"What are you doing up at this hour Twilight Sparkle?" a voice from behind her asked jumping straight in the air she saw who it was
"Princess Luna! You scared my hooves off!" Twilight said in surprise
"As far as I see..." Princess Luna looked down at Twilight joking,"Your hooves are still attached."
"Yah they are but I need to talk to you privately." Twilight said back on subject
"Well go on in." Luna said opening the door
After telling Princess Luna what happened, Twilight calmed down.
"Do you have any proof?" Luna asked very serious
"No, but!" Twilight said
"Than there is nothing we can do. You better go sleep. You cannot stay up this late." Princess Luna warned
"Yes your highness." Twilight grumbled heading off to bed feeling exhausted
"Oh and Twilight." Princess Lina called out softly,"I will mention this to my sister in the morning."
Twilight went to bed and fell asleep. Little did she know a spy of the prince heard every single word said.
When Twilight awoke she felt weird. If fact she couldn't see or speak! Although she could here voices, she didn't know who they belonged to. Instead of struggling against the bonds that held her, she listened and waited. The voices said
"She heard everything your highness." voice 1 said
"Are you sure?" voice 2 said
"Yes!" voice 1 insisted
"Did she find out the location of the other "Prince"" the voice asked
voice 1 said, "No she didn't find out that he was in"
"Don't give away the location!" voice 2 yelled, "Do you know what could have happened if you told her that he lived in Fillydelphia?"
"Sir! You just " voice 1 warned
"Don't interupt me!" voice 2 yelled
"The girl heard me and the doctor last night right?" voice 2 asked
"Yes, she did."
"Then she must be obliterated." voice 2 declared
"OBLITERATED?!" voice 1 questioned
"YES! Do not yell at me! I am Prince Blueblood!" voice 2 yelled
"Oh no! I can't be obliterated!" Twilight thought, "Must get away!"
Just then, Flash Sentry charged into the room with with ten royal guards! He captured the spy, but Prince Blueblood got away by trotting over and kick over the guards.
"This is so ruining my hooficure." Prince Blueblood complained running away
"After him!" Flash Sentry commanded
"Yes sir" replied the guards remaining
"Twilight! Are you ok?" Flash asked as he remove Twilight's restraints
"I am fine, but how did you find me?" Twilight asked amazed
"I followed you. To your room and saw where they took you. After that it is as simple as getting the guards and rescuing you." Flash said helping Twilight up
"Oh. Thank you for saving me!" Twilight smiled fighting her blushes
"No problem at all. If fact it is my job, but I will always save a friend." Flash started blushing
"He got away sir!" a guard interupted." a guard said
"Damn!" Flash yelled angrily
"You and the real Prince are doomed girl!" the spy yelled, "There is no place you can hide in the castle! You will die!" he yelled as he was dragged away.
"Twilight. You need to get away from the castle and find the Prince!" Flash said with concern
"Yah, I do and I know just the place!" Twilight declared
"Where?" Flash wondered
"Fillydelphia!" Twilight declared, "But first I need a little help."
After getting Spike up and delivering a message to the girls, they were off on the next train for Fillydelphia where the girls would meet up.
"Twilight." the group of ponies that were her best friends ever yelled
"HI!!!" Pinkie Pie yelled
"Spike!!" Flustershy yelled giving him a big hug
"Love your hair!" Rarity yelled
"How are your wings?" Rainbow Dash asked
"Hi! I am good." Twilight said
"Did you get the second part of the message?" Twilight asked
They all nodded. The second message explained about the situation and the mission to find the lost Prince.
"Well he has to look somewhat like Prince Blubeblood because if not the switch would have failed." Rainbow Dash pointed out
Everyone looked at Rainbow Dash.
"How exactly do you know that?" Apple Jack asked
"I switched that apple pie you made for a liver pie." Rainbow Dash burst out laughing
"Why I outa buck you to Ponyville!" Apple Jack said lunging for Rainbow Dash
"Come on guys lets go search for the Prince!" Twilight interupted, "Wait where is Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Spike?!"
"At the Annual Carriage Carniville over there." Apple Jack showed a pie eating contest booth, where Spike and Pinkie Pie had their faces in peach cobbler.
"How did you know that?" Twilight wondered aloud
"The banner." Apple Jack said nodded over to it as she grabbed Pinkie and Spike by the tails and dragged them over to Twilight.
"Found Flutershy!" Rainbow Dash yelled over a petting zoo, "Come on we gotta go!"
"Just one more time through. I wanna see the baby lamb just one more time!" Fluttershy begged
"Sorry gotta go." Rainbow Dash said picking her up
"Aww! Bye Lamby." Fluttershy called out and the lamb bleated in responce
"I've got an idea." Twilight said
After building a booth and coming up with a slogan (Do You Look Like Prince Blueblood or Not?) <-- Pinkie Pie's idea. They got tons of guys that wanted to look like Prince Blueblood but none that did. Twilight hired a group of guys to take down the booth. As the colts arrived, she saw one and almost gasped. He looked almost exactly like Prince Blueblood and he had the same cutie mark!
"Who are you?" Twilight asked excitedly
"Charles Buckmare of Fillydelphia. Why do you ask?" Charles asked
"Long story but you are coming back to Canterlot Castle!" Twilight said looking around for spies
"Why do I need to go to Canterlot Castle and who are you?" Charles asked suspiciously
"Princess Twilight Sparkle is my name and I command you to come with me!" Twilight smiled proudly
"Ok, uh no I won't go with you." Charles refused
"Sorry we have to do this the hard way." Twilight declared as she knocked Charles out with a sleeping spell, "Rainbow Dash!"
"I am on it!" Rainbow Dash yelled stuffing Charles in a sack and flying off.
On the way back to Canterlot Castle, Twilight sent a message to "Prince" Blueblood's "parents" and found out their blood type. She found out that Charles has to have a O negative blood type to be the true prince. After testing his blood using a spare chemistry set on board the train she found out that the colt next to her was Prince Charles of Equestria! Rainbow Dash can galloping up to Twilight out of breath.
"Twilight we got trouble!" Rainbow Dash gasped out
"What kind of trouble?" Twilight asked just as a whole bunch of colts started ransacking the train car in front of them!
"Where is he we know you are hiding him somewhere!" the colt with a bandanna covering his muzzle said, "We know you hiding the Prince!"
