Ok so this IS my first story EVER. So please I understand its not the best, but we all have to start somewhere. Chapter 2 "A Night To Remember" will be posted soon.
As Applejack ran down the dusty trail in Whitetail Woods she knew Rainbow Dash wasn't to far behind her. She was really tired on the inside and was panting heavily but had no intentions of slowing down. She was fully determined to win this race!
"Your gonna have to do better than that sugarcube if you wanna stand a chance against me!", Applejack shouted behind her.
"Oh please! I'm going to crush you! When we get to the end, I'm going to go all out why your all tired and totally beat you! I mean it worked with Twilight in the running of the leaves so who knows? Maybe that egghead does have some skill!", Dash shouted from behind.
Rainbow quickly caught up to Applejack. The two ponies were officially neck and neck closing in on the finish line that they had established was a special looking tree at the end of the path. It was close but then-!
"WOOAAHH!!", Applejack shouted as she crashed to the ground. "Hey Rainbow! You tripped me!"
"Yeah well, you never said we had to play fair this time.", the Pegasus said. "And besides, its not like this is an official race. Its all in good fun right?". Rainbow walked over and patted Applejack on the head. "Perhaps next time you'll take home the gold." She put out her hoof to help her friend up.
Applejack just smacked her hoof out of the way and got up herself. "Now listen here Rainbow!", she exclaimed. "I've had just about enough of this here cheatin thing you've been doin lately! Its got to stop or I'm not gonna do anything with you anymore!". Applejack was extremely frustrated with her Pegasus friend.
"Look, Applejack, please don't be mad ok? I'm really sorry about this and...I honestly feel really bad about it. Look I would love to make it up to you by taking you to dinner. Huh, whaddya say?", she said doing her 'i'm so innocent look'.
"Dinner. Seriously? Rainbow that sounds a little funny..."
"Oh come ON Applejack! I'm trying to be nice here!"
"Well Rainbow...alright then. Thank you kindly for your hospitality I guess..."
"Oh well have a great time, I Pinkie promise! Can we go now? I've worked up quite the appetite after that big race and all."
"Well now that I'm thinkin about it...I plum tuckered out and might hungry too. What place did you have in mind?"
"How about the cafe? Twilight told me they have the best daisy sandwiches there!"
"Well alright then Rainbow. Lets go."
The two friends walked off together back to Ponyville. Not realizing what they were getting themselves into.
As Applejack and Rainbow Dash walked back to Ponyville together, they couldn't help but notice a weird feeling going on inside of them. Rainbow looked over at Applejack. "Dang what a body!", she thought to herself. Applejack quickly looked over at Rainbow with a weird face. Rainbow quickly looked away as fast as she could.
"So what was that all about?", asked Applejack.
"What do you mean?", Rainbow said pretending like nothing happened.
"I saw you lookin over here at me..."
"Oh come on, I was not!"
"Geez Rainbow, what are ya doin checkin me out or somethin?", Applejack said jokingly as she chuckled to herself.
"Yeah, hehe...I mean nono of course not because that would be silly!"
Rainbow began to look really nervous and started sweating. Applejack just stared at her with bewilderment. "What is up with her?", she began thinking to herself. But that's when she herself realized that Rainbow also had quite the body. She began looking at her with an entranced look. "NO!", she screamed to herself. "Stop lookin or your gonna get caught...", she then said aloud,
"Well Rainbow, I am officially starvin at this point. Lets double time!"
"Alright then I guess..."
They both finally made it back to Ponyville and headed straight for the cafe. They found a nice table with a great view of the mountains on the far edge of the place. They each sat at one side of the fairly small circular table. To break the ice Rainbow asked, "So what will you be getting Applejack?"
"Oh shoot! I can't decide between this here daisy sandwich special or the extra large hay platter."
"Well why don't we get both and share them?
"Ya serious?", said Applejack with a bizarre facial reaction.
"Well yeah why not?", the Pegasus said scratching the back of her head. "Well if you don't want to..."
"No! I mean...yeah sure why not? Doin this here fancy mathematics, its actually cheaper!"
"Well its settled then!", Rainbow didn't realize the huge smile that was on her face.It just made Applejack laugh on the inside. "Oh Rainbow", she thought to herself. Applejack then looked at Rainbow Dash only to find that she was looking at here with a "I love you" face. Applejack couldn't help but stare back into her. "Those purple eyes...", she thought. They both didn't realize that they were slowly leaning towards each other getting ready to kiss when all of a sudden-
"Excuse me ladies. But are you ready to order?"
They both instantly broke out of their trance and looked up at the waiter pony that had came.
"Ugh yes...", said Applejack. "We both agreed to get the hay platter with the daisy sandwich special."
Rainbow just nodded to confirm that she agreed.
"Ok then. We will be back with everything in about 5 minutes.", the waiter pony said as he walked away.
Rainbow Dash looked back at Applejack who was in return looking at her. Applejack then said,
"So really what was that all about? Why were you lookin at me like that when we was walkin back here?"
"Look I still don't know what your talking about Applejack. I was just looking in your general direction not AT you! I mean geez do you think I was honestly checking you out?"
"I don't know...to tell you the truth...", Applejack said as she looked away.
Rainbow looked at Applejack with surprisement. "Applejack...do you think I like you or something?"
Applejack looked back and said, "Well I do know one thing for sure..."
"What is it?"
"Look I'll tell ya'll later. Here comes our food...", she then pointed to the waiter pony returning with their grub.
"There you are ladies. Now if you could pay the 20 bits for this?"
Rainbow pulled out 20 bits and gave them to the waiter.
"I hope you enjoy everything and please come again.", he said as he walked away.
Applejack stared at everything and said, "Man I sure can't wait to dig in!"
"Well what are you waiting for?" Rainbow asked as she ate a sandwich whole.
Applejack began with the hay and then ate a sandwich. It didn't take them no time at all until it was all gone.
"Still hungry?", asked Rainbow. "Because I can buy more-"
"No Rainbow. I'm fine. Thank you so much for this kind dinner."
She went around the table and hugged Rainbow. This was it. They both felt it. They stared at each other again.
"Uhhh...hehe...this may sound silly but...you wanna stay at my house tonight? I could use your company."
Rainbow shouted without hesitation, "YES! ...I mean sure why not? Hehe..."
Both ponies looked around feeling incredibly awkward.
"Well, uh, Rainbow, shall we leave for home now?" Applejack said awkwardly.
"Yeah its getting late."
They both walked to Sweet Apple Acres and went into the barn.
"Shoot! I forgot we don't have a spare bed!", Applejack said with disappointment.
"Well...I could always sleep in the same bed with you..."
"That wouldn't feel weird to you?", asked Applejack.
"Honestly no."
"Well alrighty then!"
The ponies walked upstairs and into Applejack's room. Applejack hopped on the right side and Rainbow slipped into the left.
"G'night Rainbow!" Applejack whispered.
"A-applejack....?", Rainbow stuttered.
"What?", Applejack rolled around facing her.
Immediately Rainbow leaned in and kissed Applejack. Applejack's eyes were wide open now. But Rainbow's were closed. Applejack slowly also closed hers as well. Nothing but a long passionate kiss. It didn't take long for Rainbow's tongue to slip into Applejack's mouth. Applejack just greeted it with her own. Both of the ponies were just absolutely lost in lust. Like there was no way this could be broken right now. Both of their minds just wandering off...
Applejack pulled away. "Rainbow...are we...", she was cut off by Rainbow putting her hoof over her mouth.
"Applejack...I love you."
Applejack just stared back with the happiest smile she ever had.
"I love you too Rainbow!!"
They both hugged each other and layed their heads together. They had both officially let each other know their feelings for one another. Both of them fell asleep holding each other. It had been and still was the best night ever.
