This is a story about a mare who was loved by many. She had problems but that didn't stop her from having fun. Ponies used to play with her and helped her when she needed it. Some would laugh with her when she made a mistake as she laughed along. She didn’t care much for her mess ups because she always had her friends with her.

But now, from being accepted by many she is now near abandoning her hometown. Instead of her friends having a smile on their face they would glare at her and some would even call her names. What could have caused was beyond her understanding but as the abuse progressed she slowly began to live in fear. She only came out when she needed food otherwise she hid in her house. Away from the harassment of the now dangerous streets she once walked about in without a care.

Luckily she had a friend that never turned his back on her or ever got mad at her. He helped her with her problems but his help wasn't enough. She wondered why nopony didn't like her anymore and it made her depressed. She tried to make them like her again but her efforts were in vain as it only made them angrier. It’s what made her resort to secluding herself in her home.

Just as she had enough however, just as she was about to give up, somepony else came to her aid...

What happened since I came to Ponyville

It’s been two years now since I came to Ponyville, life has been good as of late but i’m still adjusting. In case you’re wondering I didn’t come here by proving myself or convincing Celestia, I came here because I passed some test Celestia set up for Fluttershy, a kind and gentle mare who ended up in my world because of her, and I a simple pegasus stallion who is actually human. She said the test was to see if humans were ready for ponies but there had to be more to it than just that. You just don’t set up a test to see if someone’s ready. There has to be more to it but it’s not like I can just go to her and demand information. I’d have my ass hoofed to me by her royal guards in 10 seconds flat.

Heh, I think she’s starting to wear off on me...

Anyway aside from the Princess Twoface, my life has changed immensely since I came here. I go out almost everyday with Fluttershy, I have a few friends now and i’m learning so much from my Watchers, who are really my friends, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity. Over the two years i’ve spent here they have taught me so much and help me in more ways than one. I already knew who they were but talking and interacting with them is a wholenother experience.

Thanks to Applejack I now have a job, since it was her duty to have me work at her farm she actually hired me as a farmer and pays me a pretty good amount of bits. 15 an hour and I work from morning to noon, so I wake up around 5 in the morning, head to her farm until 12 and spend the rest of the day with Fluttershy and her friends. So in total I work about 7 hours a day, so that’s 105 bits a day and I work 5 days a week, that’s 525 bits at most and incase you haven’t noticed, I learned to do math thanks to Twilight.

Because of her my vocabulary has gone up greatly and i’m learning how to read and write. The funny thing is however, I can’t learn it for the life of me. We’ve tried almost everything we could think of it but I just can’t learn pony language. I must have some mental block with it or something, I know for a fact this puts Twilight in a whirl as to why i’m unteachable with this yet I know what 2 plus 2 is, which is not fish.

She actually doesn’t really teach me anymore, we just hang out and talk about things or she shows me around in her castle which is just amazing. I remember Fluttershy telling me about the castle she lives that was given thanks to some box she opened when fighting some strange beast called Terik. The story itself is pretty ridiculous so I won’t go into detail about it but it surprises me to hear about how powerful friendship can be in the darkest of times.

Anyway, I got to meet her assistant Spike who’s really to me, her son. I know that Spike’s a dragon, a baby dragon I might add, and Twilight is an alicorn pony but I can see the relationship they have. You can’t sit there and tell me that they don’t have a mother/son relationship because i’d need some pretty hard facts in order to convince me. Hell even Fluttershy and the others agree with me on this but whenever I bring it up with Twilight she just laughs but not in a bad way, it’s more like a giggle when you make a funny remark.

Ugh moving on...

Rarity and I have been getting along pretty well though it's not like we started off on the wrong hoof. She tells about her fashion, drama, shows me her dresses and projects she’s working on all the while trying to keep Sweetie Belle, her little sister, from making a mess of things.

Those two really are two peas in a pot, if one didn’t have the other then I wouldn’t know who in the wide world of Equestria would fit one another. Sweetie Belle is just too innocent to know any better anyway, I mean her voice and her attitude makes me melt sometimes. If I could ever have a daughter I would want her to have Sweetie’s personality because I would never be mad with her...I hope.

Well now that i’ve gushed over a foal let’s talk about Pinkie Pie. She’s been doing pretty well with getting me to open up more and getting others to laugh. I’m starting to get the jokes down but Pinkie topples over me with jokes. I just can’t think of a witty thing to say fast enough but she says you don’t think, you just respond with what your instinct says, then she talks about cupcakes and I lose all hope in her.

One thing I truly don’t understand about her is how she defies logic, somehow she has this ability to break through logic. Fourth Wall Breaking, if I remember correctly from what Twilight has told me is what Pinkie does and it's on a daily basis. I don’t fully understand what it is, neither does Twilight, but it's what gives Pinkie her edge in making others laugh because she’s...She’s Pinkie Pie!

That’s enough about her, onto Rainbow Dash.

She’s been doing well, flight training has been doing well but during the first few weeks when I first came to this world she was sorta distant but that quickly blew over. She talks about how it was with her human companion and how she felt along with the bond they had. I honestly can’t help but to nearly tear up from her stories because it’s so sad that she was taken from him. Well not taken, but forced to leave him as she went to her homeworld.

Over the two years she doesn’t really talk about him anymore, it used to be that we would gather in a certain spot near this hangout and she would just start talking about growing up with a human as a father. What she was taught, what she learned and the secrets that were kept from her until one day she found out. I didn’t ask how she figured it out because whenever she would bring it up, I could see the pain in her eyes. I know what it feels like to be lied to, I did live in the streets so I can understand the struggles one goes through but that can only get me so far.

I do wonder if we’ll ever get to see him one day, maybe we’ll bring him back with us if that day ever comes...

Part 1: The Mare In The Alley

View Online

It was mid afternoon, ponies were about with their business while I walked with a few bags of groceries. Some greeted me and others waved, I either waved back or smiled at their friendly like attitudes as I passed by.

I was heading home to Fluttershy’s cottage because she sent me to get some food since we were running a bit low. I carried with me some simple things like carrots, apples, wheat, herbs, medicine, etc. I went to the store after work though Applejack let me go a little early since she saw how hard I was working at the fields. Luckily she wouldn’t let this affect my pay for the week so it was a win win, though it’s not like i’m struggling with money or anything.

As I made my exit from Ponyville I came across some alley, from within my ears picked up on someone crying. I tried to listen in but couldn’t make out who it was but it was obvious that whoever it was were in some kind of trouble. I wondered if I should go check it out or just leave it be but then I thought what would Fluttershy and the others do. Soon enough I found myself walking in the alley, following the cries of sorrow.

The crying grow louder as I continued down the path but I soon stopped and hid myself as I saw a mare with a blond mane and tail, gray coat, orange eyes that weren't properly straight and had bubbles for a cutie mark. Something was also off about her because her voice sounded different. The best I compare it to was of the mentally challenged humans back in my world but she’s not in a straitjacket, unless they don’t have that in this world but as for what she was crying over was beyond me however, I wasn’t sure how to confront her without coming as a threat.

"Why doesn't anypony like me anymore? I didn't do anything wrong did I? I never meant to make everypony mad." said the gray mare angrily to nopony, “I did everything I could to make up for whatever I did wrong but even then they grew more angry. What did I do wrong?” she repeated these words over and over like a broken record, each time she repeated it she sunk deeper into her depression as I was losing my well being from it.

I emerged from where I was hiding and made it so that she noticed me, “Um...Hello.” I said awkwardly as I choked up for a moment on what to say to her, “Is...Uh everything...Alright?” It’s moments like these that make me wonder how I ever survived in this world without goofing things up as badly as of right now.

There was silence between but I could see the mare’s fear in her eyes, not to mention the trembling of her body. The second I took one step she jumped and fell back but quickly scurried to her knees while clearing her throat and closing her eyes for a second. When she opened them her eyes were somehow readjusted to look like everyone elses. To this day I still don’t know how she did that but every time I look back to that moment I shudder a bit from how disturbing that was.

"Please don't hurt me!" she pleaded, shielding herself with her hooves and wings that I didn’t notice up until now. Her voice was also different, it wasn’t the mentally challenged voice anymore but now it was a normal everyday pony voice, "I’m sorry if I offended you!”

I raised my brow at her as I took a step back this time, “Offended? Well I’ve never seen you before so what’s there nothing to be offended about,” I said as I knelt down so we could be at eye level though her wings made it hard for me to see hers, “is everything alright?” I actually wanted to ask how she changed her voice and eyes but that wasn’t important right now.

“W-why are you here?” she asked nervously.

“Because I heard crying and thought someone was in trouble.” I explained simply, “I obviously didn’t come here because I wanted to hurt you and more importantly, why would I hurt you?”

“Because anyone who’s seen me has thrown stuff at me.” explained the grey mare, “They also call me a lot mean things...”

“Are you hurt?” I asked, trying to examine her but the lighting in the alley was horrible, “Can you tell me your name?”

“Why should I tell you?” she wondered looking suspicious now as she scooted back from me, “How do I know this is all a trick and you’re really just waiting for the right moment to strike!”

I raised my brow as my expression showed no interest on her statement, “First of all no.” I said flat out, “Second of all, I don’t even know you nor am I mad at you. The reason why i’m here was because I heard crying and decided to check it out. I also didn’t come here to throw food at you, honestly that’s a waste because I have someone I need to get this food back to so she doesn’t go hungry.”

She stopped for a moment and took a closer look at me, her guard lightened up a bit as she seemed to recognize me somehow, “Is the food for that animal caretaker who lives near the Everfree Forest, who was it again...Fluttershy?” she wondered.

“You know her?” I asked, looking surprised.

“Not really,” she replied as her defenses were lowered entirely now, “I used to deliver mail to her house but I mostly scared her off because I would catch her off guard. She’s a pretty shy mare for sure but very kind.” she laughed at the remark but went quiet next, “I’ve seen you with her a lot actually,” she explained next, “I don’t know when you came here but I mostly see you hanging out with her, are you two together or something?”

My face grew red with the question, “Um...N-no...Just close friends that’s all.”

“Really, I could’ve sworn I at least saw you ki-”

“Um let’s not get too into...” I said embarrassedly as my face turned as a red as a tomato now, “SO, are you new around here?” I asked quickly changing the subject.

The grey mare studied my face for a moment before showing a little smirk, "No, I've lived here for a while.” she said going along with my question, “My name is Derpy Hooves, what’s your name?."

Derpy, what an odd name, I thought to myself before responding, “I go by Cerulean, Cerulean Protect and I certainly did not do what you were about to say to Fluttershy.”

“But don’t you live with her?” Derpy wondered curiously.

“What are you, a stalker?!” I argued as I tried to control my temper, “Do you just follow everyone around or something?!”

“I’m a mail pony,” Derpy replied mischiefly, “and I can say without a doubt that I’ve seen you and Fluttershy ki-”

“WE’RE JUST FRIENDS!” I blurted out suddenly, “WE MAY HAVE KISSED BUT THAT WAS ONCE ALRIGHT!” I quickly slammed my mouth shut as I realized what I just said, soon after my face redder than the color red itself. I was so red my face somehow turned purple!

Derpy nearly burst into laughter at the color of my face but held it in, “I think some pony has a crush.” she said childishly as she made kissing gestures to me.

I groaned with regret before hiding my face behind my wings, “SO, can you tell me WHAT’S WRONG?” I asked as kindly as I could while grinding my teeth against each other.

Derpy laughed at my adorableness but looked away when I asked my question, “It’s a pretty long story, are you sure want to hear it?” she said as she began to back away from me, “I don’t want to waste your time and you have someone you need to deliver the food to anyway...”

“If I wasn’t interested in your problem I wouldn’t have come here.” I said in a firm tone as I folded my wings back to show her my kind purple expression, “Why don’t you come with me and we’ll talk at Fluttershy’s, that ok with you?”

Derpy looked surprised at my offer but her hesitation was still present as she tried to scoot back some more but she was against a wall now. I could see the panic in her eyes so I took another step back to let her breath. Once she settled she gave my offer some thought, there was still hesitation but as she looked at the area she was in and back to my purple face, which was now returning to it’s blue color, she nodded and came to my side.

“There’s nopony Fluttershy wouldn’t like.” I said as my wings unfolded for take off, “Whenever you’re ready.”

Derpy watched me with awe as my wings seemed to have captured her attention, “W-wow...” she said quietly as she studied them, “I didn’t notice how amazing your wings are, I thought only alicorns could have such large wings!”

I only rolled my eyes and smiled, “Well...I guess i’m a rare kind.” I said with a wink.

Derpy only giggled but just as she readied her wings and looked up to the sky her wings folded back instantly, “W-wait...” she said as fear re-entered her body, “Can we go in a cloud, I think it’ll be safer but it’ll take us a little longer...”

“Wait why?” I said, turning to her with a puzzled look.

“I can’t be seen in public.” said Derpy, “Plus, I don’t want to you get to hurt if ponies see you with me...”

My expression didn’t change but I nodded in agreement, “Alright, we’ll do it your way.” I said quietly as I tried not to sound too suspicious about it.

I grabbed my bags and together we flew to the closest cloud we could find, there we stayed put until Derpy felt safe enough to start moving. We didn’t move for almost an hour if my timing was correct but once we started moving I was nearly asleep. We went with the pace of the clouds but tried to blend in with them as best we could though the only problem we were having was that the clouds were heading in the opposite direction we were going. Some time passed and we were making good progress but we had a long way to go if we were to make it to Fluttershy’s. We didn’t say a word since Derpy was worried that it would give away our position.

By the time we made it to Fluttershy’s cottage the sun was setting and Fluttershy was waiting outside. She seemed a little concerned but luckily her pet bunny Angel who was sitting by her was keeping her distracted. When she noticed a cloud decending from above she seemed rather confused as to why this was happening but as she walked over to investigate I came out suddenly and gave her a mild fright.

"Oh it's you.” she said as she catched her breath, “What kept you so long and why did you bring a cloud with you?” she wondered.

Before I explained myself I gave her the groceries and stepped out, "Well it’s sorta a long story but to make it short, I made a new friend today but we have a problem now."

"New friend and problem, what’s going on?" Fluttershy asked.

I nodded to the first one and shrugged at the second before walking back to the cloud, I poked my head inside to motion Derpy to come out.

"Are you sure?" said Derpy nervously.

I nodded my head, "Yeah i’m sure."

I stuck my hoof out to help her get out of the cloud. She came out slowly but quickly hid behind me the moment she saw Fluttershy. Strange how I remembered Fluttershy doing this back in my world when she would get spooked by a butterfly or cricket though being the worlds shyest pony she had to live up to her title.

At first Fluttershy didn’t recognize Derpy but when her eyes brightened up she gave a most cheerful greeting, “Oh my Celestia it’s been so long since I’ve last saw you Derpy Hooves!” she said happily, “ I haven’t seen you in so long how have you been?”

We waited for a response but Derpy kept quiet and avoided eye contact. Fluttershy looked to me awkwardly as she wondered what was wrong before realizing she must be the problem but for what?

I told her what I knew but even then it left us on wondering what was going on, "What do you think we should do?” wondered Fluttershy as she tried to examine Derpy but the grey mare hid herself well from her eyes.

"I’m not sure,” I said hesitantly, “but she could be in a real trouble right now,” I said as I comforted Derpy, “though it’s obvious that we have to help her.”

Fluttershy nodded in agreement, "I think that’s a good idea," she said before pausing, “but wait, what if it’s dangerous, are you sure want to help her?”

I nodded back to her, “Why else did I bring her here? If I didn’t want to help her I would’ve been back hours ago.”

“Yes but,” Fluttershy leaned in and whispered, “what if this is one of Celestia’s tests?”

I paused for a moment, I never took into consideration that this might’ve been planned out but what if it's not? I can’t just leave send her back to where I found her. If I did I could never forgive myself and who knows what Derpy would think of me. What would the others think too, Fluttershy would understand but the others might not agree with my decision.

I took in a deep breath and sighed to relax myself, “...Regardless this a test or not,” I said quietly, “I know you and the others would still help her either way.”

Fluttershy was quiet as she began to smile proudly at me, “We should get her inside and I’ll make us something to eat, how do sandwiches sound?” she asked.

I smiled back at her, “That sounds great, I haven’t eaten all day and i’m starving.” I looked over to Derpy and nudged her gently, “You up for sandwiches?” I asked.

Derpy looked at me with uncertain eyes, it was clear to see she didn’t want to offend Fluttershy so she nodded and followed us inside. There we took her into kitchen where we had her sit on a chair while Fluttershy and I made the sandwiches. We tried to get Derpy to talk but the most we got out of her was a giggle when I would make a witty remark but when Fluttershy tried to talk to her Derpy just avoided all possible contact. Once food was finished we sat and ate yet Derpy wasn’t touching her food.

“You do know we can’t finish all these sandwiches by ourselves,” I said to Derpy, “well I could possibly if I tried but we did make some for you.”

Derpy looked only to me and shrugged, “Maybe...I’m not hungry.” she said quietly.

“Would you like some water then?” said Fluttershy as she went to get a cup.

“S-sure...” said Derpy, “Thank you.”

Fluttershy fished out a cup from the cupboard and walked over to the sink to pour some water, "So what made you think I hated you?" she asked as she filled the cup up.

Derpy was watching Fluttershy when she asked, "Well...Everypony has been calling me names and they all yell at me. They said I could never be loved anymore and that no one is my friend.” Fluttershy returned with the cup and hoofed it to Derpy, “I don’t understand what I did,” she said taking a big gulp, “I never meant to make everyone mad at me. Really i’m a gentle pony at heart, I could never bring myself to hurt anyone but I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m between leaving Ponyville or sticking around to see if this passes by.” she finished her cup and sighed heavily, “You can guess which one i’m going with...”

"Why are they doing this to you? You've done nothing wrong so why are they doing this?" I asked.

Derpy shrugged, "At first they all liked to hang out with me but as time went on they all started calling me names and other things. They called me stupid and retarded and that I should just leave Ponyville."

She started to cry, Fluttershy tried to comfort her but the moment she touched her Derpy jumped and fell off her seat. Seeing her like made me angry. I know how she feels, i’ve been through this before many times and- I paused and shook my head, “...No I can’t think about my past now.” I said to myself.

I walked over to Derpy and helped her up, “Tomorrow we’ll go see our friends and ask them for help, for now let’s get some rest alright?”

Derpy was ashamed at her behavior but nodded, “I guess I should get going then.” she said, making her way to the door but was stopped by me.

“No.” I said with a gentle smile forming, “You’re spending the night here, I’m not going to let you walk out there and get hurt again. It’s better if you stay here tonight.”

Derpy was no doubt against my offer, “What if they find out i’m here?” she questioned.

“Then we’ll protect you.” said Fluttershy as she came to Derpy’s side and smiled, “We know the risk but it’s worth it for a friend.”

“F-friend?” repeated Derpy with teary eyes, “You consider me a friend?”

Fluttershy simply laughed, “I never said I hated you now did I?”

Derpy was overwhelmed with emotion as tears came rushing down her face, Fluttershy and I only held her until she stopped. We didn’t know how long it would take but it didn’t matter, moments like these you don’t care how long time would take. As long as you’re helping a friend out, you got all the time you need for them. It’s funny when I look back at this because it was the first time in who knows how long that Derpy was smiling again under her tears.

Part 2: A Protector's Oath

When morning came we ate breakfast, tended to the animals and were on our way to Applejack’s since we had a long day ahead of us.By the time we got to AJ's place the Apples were already haulling the first batch of apples. Applejack, Applebloom, and Big Mac were working as hard as they could while Granny Smith was sitting on her rocking chair yelling out random things at the top of her lungs.

When Applejack noticed us she waved and galloped over to us, "Howdy y’all!” she said energetically, “ Whatcha doing here so early and who’s the new friend, did y'all want to help out with apple bucking?" she wondered.

We shook our heads and smiled at her energy, “Not right now,” I said happily, “we’ll help you later but we need to talk first."

"Why sure thing, what’s up?" wondered Applejack.

"Before I start, do you know this pony?" I pointed over to Derpy who was watching Applejack with terror filled eyes.

Applejack took a good look at Derpy before shaking her head, “Can’t say ah haven’t seen her, she does look familiar but ah can’t put my hoof on it.” she gave it some thought, mumbling every name she could think though they were all names of her cousins and somehow Big Mac was one of them, “Nope, got nothing.” she said plainly.

I explained Derpy's situation, how I came to this and how we’re approaching this so far. Applejack seemed pleased that I was taking to this my own matter yet I was seeking help, she said it showed I was showing trust, something she’s been working on with me yet I could never understand it. To trust someone is to not have no second thoughts when they give their word yet, I always have a second thought though, no matter who it is, even Fluttershy, I still have second thoughts. Maybe it’s because I overthink everything but Applejack always says i’m spouting nonsense. Funny how to this day, after so many years, I still don’t know what trust is but I’ve lived for so long it no longer bothers me.

"I’m glad y’all told me this,” said Applejack, “it’s horrible to go through something like this but what do you need my help for?”

“We’re not sure,” I said hesitantly, “really we have no plan but we’re going to gather the others up and see what we can think of.”

“Well it’s a start,” mumbled Applejack, “but you can count me in!” she kicked her front legs up excitedly and gave a mighty yehaa!

Derpy seemed grateful that Applejack was lending a hoof but she couldn’t help but to lower her head shamefully, “I guess I was wrong about you too...” she said quietly.

Applejack tilted her head up and smiled, "Don't worry sugarcube. Ah ain't mad or anything, we all make our own mistakes and no pony is perfect. Do you wanna help us with the apples?"

"Sure but what can I do?" wondered Derpy.

“Ya any good at bucking?” questioned Applejack, Derpy gave a doubtful nod, “Well if ya are then go with Cerulean, he’ll show you where ya need to go but make sure y’all have some apple carts with ya for hauling them back.”

"Ok I'll try my best." said Derpy.

"That's the spirit!" said Applejack as she returned to her work.

I took Derpy and Fluttershy to the barn where we took some carts out and went South of the apple fields. There I showed them how to kick the trees without hurting yourself but since this was Derpy’s first time, and Fluttershy was a fragile butterfly, they had some trouble but quickly got the hang of things. By the afternoon we brought back the carts and managed to impress Applejack and the others. We were then treated to some apple pie and pancakes which were out of this world thanks to Granny’s secret recipe.

As we ate I noticed Derpy was proudly smiling at herself, “Like the hard work don’t ya?” I asked simply as I gave her a nudge.

Derpy looked over and nodded, “It feels good,” she said happily, “i’m a bit sore and tired but I got to let some steam out today so i’m thankful for that, not to mention this food.” she mumbled the last part as she stuffed her face with pancakes.

I laughed at her joy, “Well if your mail job doesn’t work out, i’m sure Applejack wouldn’t mind hiring you.”

“Really?” wondered Derpy, “You really think so?”

“I don’t see why not, you were able to get the hang of things pretty quickly and you are a good bucker. I can’t guarantee that you’ll get a job here but if you prove yourself to Applejack then your chances will be pretty high.”

“Oh, right.” said Derpy as the realization came to her, “Well I’ll be sure not to let her down if I do work here.”

Once we finished eating Applejack, Derpy, Fluttershy, and I spent some time on the farm, walking and talking about life and things. Applebloom and Big Mac would’ve been with us if Big Mac hadn’t gone to take a nap and Applebloom had to leave for her Crusader meeting.

"Now what are we going to do with Derpy's problem?" wondered Applejack as she looked over to us.

"Like I told you,” I explained as I kept a steady pace, “We’re going to get the others and see what we can come up with."

“And like I said,” replied Applejack, “at least it’s something but who are we going to see now?”

"Let’s head to Pinkie Pie since she's the closest from here."

"Uhh if we’re going back to town,” said Derpy abruptly, “can I follow you by cloud again?"

“By cloud?” repeated Applejack, “Why by cloud?”

"We don’t mind.” I replied as I turned to Fluttershy, “Mind going with Derpy?"

"If it's ok with her." said Fluttershy.

"I don't mind." said Derpy.

Fluttershy nodded her head as the both of them took shelter in the closest cloud and waited for our que.

“Mind explaining to me why they she needs a cloud?” questioned Applejack as she watched them confusedly.

“She’s scared of being seen in public,” I explained, “from what she’s told us ponies threw stuff at her and she doesn’t want us getting hurt.”

“I see...” said Applejack as she tipped her hat to Derpy, “Well, let’s hope we come up with a good plan then.”

"Any idea where Pinkie Pie is?"

Applejack shrugged her shoulders, "Beats me. Probably at Sugarcube Corner working or doing something only Pinkie Pie could do."

We nodded and signaled the others to follow, we took it nice and slow like since Derpy was afraid of speeding up. Luckily there were some clouds around that Fluttershy and Derpy could to blend in with, if there were anymore I would’ve stopped to check where they were every fives minutes.

We were silent at first until Applejack finally broke the silence, "So what do you reckon Pinkie is doing about now?”

“The usual,” I replied plainly, “either baking or doing something that defies logic at it’s core or bugging Rainbow.”

Applejack chuckled, “Sounds about right, my bet is on her bugging Rainbow but we’ll see.” she looked over to where Derpy and Fluttershy were before looking at me, “So how ya liking this world, is it any better?”

“I think you know the answer to that.”

“Well I wanna hear it from ya.” insisted Applejack.

I smirked a little, “It’s a million times better than my old world, I don’t miss a thing except for my brother and sister. The only way to make things better is if my big brother and sister and Grandpa were here instead of Celestia.”

“Heh, I guess that would make things better for you.” Applejack shifted her gaze to the ground now as her face began to dull, “I still can’t believe she did that, I never thought she was that type of pony. Really, like the rest of Equestria I looked up to her, I thought she was the perfect role model, a true leader but, what she pulled was just..just...so unlike her.”

“I guess even Celestia isn’t perfect after all...” I murmured quietly as my smirk was now gone

We were silent for a moment before Applejack stopped me in my tracks with a serious look now, “I know this is going to be out of the blue,” she said sternly, “but I want ya to remember that whatever happens, if Fluttershy isn’t enough help, come find me and ma family, we’ll do everything we can to help ya, I promise.” from serious to sincere now Applejack began to smile, “You’re part of the Apple Family now and we never leave an Apple alone.”

My eyes widened and filled with tears as she said those words, “R-really?” I muttered as I took a step back to contemplate her words, “I...Have a family now?”

“You’ve always had a family,” argued Applejack kindly, “when you first met Fluttershy, that was the start of yer family and ya best be doing everything in yer power to protect her, that is why your name has Protector in it, right?”

I struggled to get a laugh out, “T-thank you...Applejack, it means...A lot to hear that.”

Applejack only held me as I began to cry softly with joy, it worried Fluttershy and Derpy as they came down and asked if I was alright when they saw my tears. Applejack and I only nodded our heads as I tackled Fluttershy to the ground, I couldn’t express my happiness any other way but it made quite the scene for Derpy as she blushed a little. As for Applejack she merely patted back with her hat and urged us to get a move on since some ponies were coming our direction.

Once we were back on track we double timed it to Sugarcube Corner though Applejack and I accidentally left Derpy and Fluttershy behind so we decided wait inside since we could go for a snack.

"What can I get for you?" greeted Mrs. Cake as we walked over to her counter.

"We’re looking for Pinkie Pie. Know where she is?" Applejack asked.

"We sent her to get some ingredients for a cake we’re baking. Why not wait here. She won't be long." explained Mr. Cake who walked out with a batch of baked goods.

"Alright we’ll wait. Hopefully Fluttershy and Derpy get here before she does. What’s taking them so long anyway?" Applejack wondered.

"We did leave them in the dust but I'll go check."

I walked out and flew up to see if they were close by. As I scanned the area I noticed a cloud slowly making its way to my area so I flew inside to take a peek. Luckily it was them but I accidently scared both of them and nearly made Fluttershy's wings lock up.

"Sorry, what took you so long?" I wondered as I helped Fluttershy with her wings.

"Derpy wanted to take it slow to make sure nopony noticed us. I didn't want to argue so I went along with it." explained Fluttershy as she gathered her bearings.

"Oh well come on. We're waiting for you and for Pinkie to show up."

"Where's Pinkie Pie?" questioned Fluttershy.

"She went to get some things.” I explained, “She'll be back in a bit but come on, Applejack is waiting on us."

We flew down and quickly entered the shop, inside we found Applejack with her back against the window of the shop. When she noticed us she motioned us over to a table where we sat down and took a moment to relax after a long walk. I actually almost dozed off since I put my head down to settle from the overload of emotions earlier.

When Mrs. Cake came over to greet us, she quickly noticed Derpy and her face changed from cheerful to seething anger, "What are you doing here?” she demanded as she slammed her hooves on the table.

I jumped from the jolt of the table and looked up slightly annoyed, “Ugh, what’s gotten your mane in a rut?” I mumbled as I rubbed my tired eyes. Mrs. Cake was only silent as she stared angrily at Derpy.

"H-hello...” muttered Derpy as sank down on her seat, “I’m here to see a friend with Cerulean and his friends.”

“Hmph,” replied Mrs. Cake as she looked over to us with glaring eyes, “well let’s hope your friend gets here quickly, I don’t want another accident.” she left without another word as she stormed into the kitchen.

“The hell set her off...” I wondered as I looked over to Derpy, “You alright Derpy?”

Derpy shook her head as she gritted her teeth in anger, "This is what I meant by them not liking me!" she yelled as she slammed her hooves onto the table, “I did nothing wrong yet they all give me the same dirty look and i’m sick of it!”

"I didn't think it was this bad." said Fluttershy.

"It’s ok sugar cube will figure this out." Applejack placed her arm over Derpy and brought her in closely as Fluttershy comforted her as well.

"I'll go talk to them." Derpy didn't say a word, she just continued to sulk in her misery. The way she looked reminded of me when I was little. No friends, always made fun of and always depressed. This enraged me so as I stormed into the kitchen, it caught Mr. and Mrs. Cake by surprise.

"What the hell was that about!" I shouted angrily towards them.

"We don't need another mess from her!" shouted Mr. Cake.

"Yeah, now go tell Pinkie what you want to tell her and just leave!" ordered Mrs. Cake.

I didn't know why they were acting like this, it was obvious this wasn’t like them but the time it took to figure out everything was longer than I could imagine, "I thought you were nice ponies,” I said begrudgingly, “but I guess I was wrong about the both of you."

They didn't reply back, they just ignored me and went back to cooking. It’s pointless if they’re going to act like this so I went back to the others who were still comforting Derpy.

"I’m sorry. I’m trying to be strong but this has been going on for so long and I just want to give up." said Derpy.

"If we give up then all this was for nothing,” I argued as I took a seat, “plus no way in Equestria would we give up on you.”

Derpy immediately snapped back at me, “Oh save it Cerulean, it’s only a matter of time until you tell me to just get lost so why don’t you save all of us the trouble and just say it!”

I wasn’t fazed in the slightest by her anger, merely because I was still mad over the Cakes, “If I wanted to tell you to fuck off I would’ve done so when I saw you in the alley.”

Derpy’s eyes widened from my words, her mouth opened but no words came out. Applejack and Fluttershy were in the same state as they looked around to see if anypony heard me, luckily they didn’t but I wouldn’t care all that much.

I leaned over to Derpy and looked her dead in the eyes before speaking, “I told you I would help you through this and I don’t go back on my words, I am a Protector and I protect those I hold dearly, that means you to Derpy. I currently hold you, Fluttershy, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle and Spike dearly. When a friend is in trouble, no matter how big or small, I owe it to them to be there for them because I know they would be there for me too and they would definitely be there for you too.”

Derpy’s eyes widen but grew somber from my words as she sank down in shame, "I’m...sorry." she uttered quietly.

"It’s ok I don't blame you. If I was in your position I would probably say the same, but you need to control your anger or else you'll go off on others."

"Why are you really doing this?” Derpy wondered as she looked up to me with tear filled eyes.

I hesitated for a moment before looking at Fluttershy and Applejack who were just watching at this point, taking a moment to sigh I began to explain my reason, "...When I was little I was picked on a lot for no reason. I had no friends and nopony wanted to be my friend. That’s why I'm helping you. Because I don't want the same thing that happened to another pony."

Derpy’s eyes widened in disbelief, “Really? Why would anyone pick on you?”

I only shrugged my shoulders and put on a smile for her, "Don't worry it's all in the past now. You’re not alone on this, remember that."

Derpy began to smile, "Thanks."

"No problem."

We all hugged out next before settling down on our seats, “Wait...Did anypony see Pinkie at all this whole time?” wondered Applejack.

We all exchanged unsure looks to each other before I took it upon myself to go look for her but just as I made my exit I, ironically, ran into a pink mare.

"Oww...My head!" complained the mare before realizing who she ran into, “Oh my gosh Cerulean it’s so good to see you!” said the mare as she embraced me as tightly as possibly.

"Ugh...Hello...Pinkie...Pie.” I muttered as I had the life squeezed out of me, “Can you...Please...PUT ME DOWN!”

“Oh, haha sure thing.” chuckled Pinkie as she literally dropped me to the floor, “What brings you here?” she wondered.

“I came looking for you but luckily and painfully you’re here.”

"I am here!” cheered Pinkie excitedly, “What did you need? Did you want to bake some treats or do you want to throw another party OR-"

"No Pinkie we need to talk." I said abruptly as I cut her off.

Pinkie nodded her head and we went inside so me and the others can finally tell her what going on and see if she can help us. I was confident that Pinkie would help us but if Derpy’s problem is this bad then we’ll need a lot more help. My only fear right now was losing my well being and going on a rampage on other ponies who would dare harm Derpy and my friends. If only I had known the truth behind all this, then maybe, things would've turned out differently.

"Hey Fluttershy, Applejack and...uhh...I don't remember you. Are you new?" greeted and wondered Pinkie Pie as she closely examined Derpy.

"That’s Derpy." I said quietly as we watched Pinkie’s eyes stretch out of their sockets to examine Derpy.

It didn’t take too long for Pinkie’s eyes to launch back into their sockets with a realization, "Oh right, silly me I forgot.” she giggled happily before hugging Derpy tightly with joy, ”I haven't seen you in forever. How’ve you been? Whats up? Do you want some cake?"

"I think she's fine sugar cube but what we need to talk about is about her." insisted Applejack who was shuddering from Pinkie.

"Oh is it a secret?” wondered Pinkie before her excitement took over, ”Wait don't tell me!” she demanded, “You all are secretly working on something that could change the lives of everypony and possibly change the very fabric of time and space!"

There was only utter silence as we all stared at Pinkie with the utmost confusion a facial expression could offer, "Uhh that’s not it Pinkie...” awkwardly muttered Fluttershy.

"Oh well why didn't you say so?" argued Pinkie, “Now I look like a fool!”

"Not like this is the first..." grumbled Applejack.

"Anyway,” I said, trying to get us back on the subject, “we need to talk about something involving Derpy.

Pinkie finally settled down and listened to our problem concerning Derpy, at the end I think she understood the problem but it's kinda hard to understand her since she’s Pinkie Pie.

"Well that’s just not fair on how they're treating you,” stated Pinkie, “and I don't hate you. I could never hate anypony, you can ask Applejack, Fluttershy and Cerulean!”

"It seems like I’ve been misjudging some ponies lately...” admitted Derpy, “But, will you help us?”

"I'd love to help!” cheered Pinkie excitedly, “Should we celebrate with muffins? I know how to make your favorite!"

"How did you know I like muffins? Are you a psychic?" questioned Derpy.

"I wish but I just know everything about everypony, including you." explained Pinkie.

Technically that’s sorta the same but to this day I still have a hard time understanding Pinkie logic, it’s nothing logical yet it’s logical at the same time, as Twilight would say. Yet, I always wondered how Pinkie does it, how can she be in 5 million places at once yet still remain as one. Honestly I’ve over thought this so many times I could develop migraines from it but a pony can wonder, right?

"If you're making muffins, mind making us some?" I insisted.

"You probably won't like the one she eats." Pinkie said awkwardly.

"Why not?"

Pinkie leaned over and whispered to me the ingredients for Derpy's muffins, it was enough to nearly make me gag but I held it in. I didn't even know you can make muffins with chips, soda and earthworms. How can she even eat those without having to go to the hospital? Thinking about Derpy eating them made my head spin a little.

"I'll make you a different batch." Pinkie insisted.

"Alright but you mind making it fast. I think the Cakes wants us out ASAP." I urged.

“Why’s that?” questioned Pinkie.

I explained how the Cakes reacted when they saw Derpy, how they talked to her and how they treated her. At first Pinkie was in a bit of disbelief but when she turned to Derpy that was enough to convince her. Taking action she stormed into the kitchen to have a talk with the Cakes, I followed behind but listened through the door as I knew they wouldn’t want to see me.

At first the Cakes were cheerful to Pinkie but seconds after Derpy was mentioned the Cakes were suddenly enraged. Pinkie was then escorted out of the kitchen and we were told to leave.

"Well that wasn't very nice. All I said was that I was going to make muffins for you and when I mentioned Derpy they throw me out. How rude though, guess we won't be having muffins." said Pinkie as we followed her outside.

"Forget them,” I argued, “lets go get Rarity."

Pinkie nodded her head as she began hopping to Rarity’s house. She also began humming some tune to herself seem to make her hop farther and faster with each hop. I find it funny how she’s able to do that for long periods of time without getting tired. It must be all the sugar she eats but doesn’t she eventually crash? This was another one of Pinkie’s defying logic moments, never getting tired.

"I'll go in my cloud." said Derpy as Fluttershy accompanied her to a nearby cloud

"Know if she's home?" I asked Applejack as I watched them fly up.

“We’ll know once we get there,” she replied, “best guess is she’s probably working on a new outfit or something.”

I rolled my eyes and began walking, Applejack and I didn’t really talk since the walk wasn’t so long and we were already emotionally spent. When we got there we saw Pinkie waiting at the door patiently like a dog would, by the time she noticed us she actually began barking for no reason. We stood in confusion for a moment, wondering if PInkie hit her head or something but after mumbling, “Pinkie logic.” We then made our way to the door and rang the doorbell.

"Oh hello.” greeted Rarity as she opened the door, “What brings you all here today?”

"We need to talk,” I said simply, “you free right now?”

“Why of course!” replied Rarity as she opened the door more for us, “Please come in and make yourselves at home, when you’re ready we can talk.”

"We'll talk once Fluttershy and Derpy get here." We made our way to the kitchen where we sat down to relax a little.

“Pardon me but who’s Derpy.” questioned Rarity as she closed the door behind her and followed us.

"You'll see." I mumbled tiredly, it’s kinda surprising that hardly any of us know her but everypony in town knows and hates her.

Around us were some sketches of designs Rarity was working on, the place was in a bit of organized chaos but it’s not like i’m used to clutter anyway. Some of her designs were rather strange while others had me gazing at it for the longest time. Really I was picturing who would look best in it, of course Fluttershy could pull it off on all of them. I couldn’t help but to blush and smile a little at the thought.

"Would you like any snacks?" offered Rarity as she placed a batched of sandwiches in the middle of the table we sat in, “I made too many this morning and I don’t want these to go to waste.”

"Sure. Pinkie was going to make us muffins at Sugarcube Corner but we kinda got kicked out..."

"Oh, why is that?" wondered Rarity.

“I’ll explain once the others get here, but thank you for the snacks.”

Rarity smiled as she grabbed a sandwich and sat down with us, "So how you liking Ponyville since you came here?" she wondered as she turned to me, “Is it any better than your world?”

I couldn’t help but to laugh at her question, "Of course this world is better, it’s practically the best place ever!” Rarity seemed delighted at my response, “I guess the only downside right now is the problem we’re facing, I really thought this world was perfect. I mean, everything was going well up until now.”

"I assume this problem has something to do with this Derpy character?” said Rarity.

I nodded my head, “So far only one bad thing has happened but I’m starting to wonder what I’ve gotten myself into.”

"Before we continue on about this,” urged Applejack, “mind checking if Fluttershy and her friend are close?"

“Sure.” I grabbed one more sandwich before heading outside, once I was out I scanned the skies for any odd clouds coming my way. When I saw no sign of such cloud I grew a little worried and decided to go looking for them. I flew back to Sugarcube Corner in hopes of running into them but as the candy shop came into view sounds of chaos were heard near the place.

My nerves tensed as my worst case scenarios were starting, I hesitantly flew towards the sound to find an angry mob surrounding two ponies. Those two happened to be Derpy and Fluttershy. Trash, insults and threats were being hurled at them in all angles, Fluttershy was shielding Derpy as trash was thrown at them.

This only sparked a fuse in me as I dove towards them, I flew so fast that when I landed I sent a gust of wind that pushed everyone back some. They were silent now as all eyes were on me, I looked around to see the angry faces of the mob. I backed into Derpy and Fluttershy in the process and nudged them to leave. At first they didn’t get the signal but when I motioned my head upward they took off without saying a word. Unfortunately a rock was thrown at them that managed to hit Fluttershy and caused her to spiral to the ground. I watched as she smacked the ground a thump, she was still before showing signs of agony.

I rushed over to her next, pushing anyone who was in my way until I reached her. I helped her up and examined her, I almost gasped as I saw a nasty looking gash along with blood gushing out from the side of head. Her eyes were a bit dilated and she seemed delusional, I said her name but she didn’t respond. My body began to tremble next as I held her, I choked on some tears that I was holding back before I set her down.

I stood up next and turned to the mob who were just watching with the same expression as before, “Who threw that...” I said quietly, there no response, “WHO THREW IT!!” Everypony jumped at my tone and quickly formed a path to a pony who apparently threw it.

It was a stallion with a blue coat and strange looking mane and tail. It’s colors were a lightish blue, it seemed to resemble lightning while his eyes were a type of hazel. For his cutie mark there was a spiralling cloud with sparks coming out in five directions. I didn’t care if it was him or not I marched over to the pony, he had a grin as I made my way over to him. He was just about my height but we were able to look at each other at eye level.

“Why did you throw it...” I growled as I grabbed stallion by the throat.

His smirk only grew more with my anger, “Because I felt like it, what are you going to do about it?” he wondered as he spat in my face.

I pushed him back before tackling him to the ground, we rolled around for a bit but I easily had him pinned down in a few seconds, “What is your name?” I demanded as I smashed his face into the ground.

“Heh, why should I tell you?” questioned the stallion as he struggled to break free, “It’s not like you can help that mare, the way I see it she’ll be chased out of town by tomorrow.” he began to laugh as he turned to Derpy who was watching from the air, “Just you wait Derpy, when you leave this town i’ll be the last face you remember you hear me!”

“ENOUGH!” I shouted as I grabbed a clump of dirt and rammed it into his mouth, “What gives you the right to say such a thing to a kind and gentle mare like her.” I started punching him repeatedly, “She’s done nothing wrong so you have no right to despise her!” I placed my hooves on his neck now and began pressing down on it, “You might’ve been one of her friends, you might’ve been the one who laughed and played with her so why are you doing this to her, why did you decide betray her, TELL ME!”

I was shoved aside by a mare, I was too enraged at first to see who it was but when my mind settled I saw it was Fluttershy. She had me pinned down and was looking right at me, blood from her gash was dripping onto my face as she watched me. Her eyes weren’t dilated anymore but they were fixed on me, the look she gave also was one I couldn’t read. It was as if all life had been drained out of her.

“That’s enough...” she said quietly as she stepped off and helped me up, “Let’s go to Rarity’s now.”

I tried to look around but Fluttershy prevented me from doing so, I had no choice but to leave. We were silent as we flew by, we didn’t bother taking a cloud so we got to Rarity’s in record time. When we landed Fluttershy helped me to the door, as we came in the others jumped when they saw us.

“Oh my gosh Cerulean what happened!?” cried Rarity as she rushed out of the room, “I’ll go get an aid kit!”

“Sam Hill Fluttershy are you ok?” questioned Applejack as she came to Fluttershy’s side.

For some reason I couldn’t respond, I could only look as I watched Applejack examine Fluttershy’s wound. As for Derpy she seemed to be in a sort of trauma from something, when she turned to me she would look away immediately and hide her face face with her wings. I would hear soft whimpers next as I turned back to Fluttershy who was being attended to by Applejack.

When Rarity came back she carried with her a box with a red plus on it, she placed it on the floor, popped it open and pulled out some gauze and disinfectant. She hurried over to Fluttershy and took over while Applejack went by my side. She told Derpy she’d be there in a minute before taking a look at my hooves which were drenched with dirt and blood. My eyes widened at the sight before Applejack pulled my head up and made me focus on her.

“Can you tell me where it hurts?” she asked as steadily as possible.

I opened my mouth, but I only uttered a dry croak before water was given to me. I drank it with no problem but I still couldn’t speak. Applejack sighed and took a look at my hooves, upon examining them she asked Rarity for a box of wipes. Once given she cleaned my hooves and wiped my face from the blood that came from Fluttershy. When she finished she went over to Derpy and tried to examine her but Derpy only screamed and backed away.

I jumped when she screamed but no words came out still, I just sat there in confusion and watched as Fluttershy was tended to while Derpy screamed for some reason. Even in my mind I couldn’t utter a word, it was just silent all around me from the inside and out.

“Oh no, I think she may have a concussion.” said Rarity over to Applejack, “We might need Twilight’s help on this.”

“A concussion!?” cried Applejack, “Shoot ah was hoping it wasn’t that bad.” she took a few paces back and forth before walking over to me, “Look, ah don’t know what happened but can you do me a favor?” she asked, I nodded my head shakily and listened, “Ah need you to fly over to Twilight’s place and get her ASAP. Only she knows a spell that can help with this type of stuff. We could take Fluttershy to a hospital if it wasn’t so far away so we got no choice, can you do this Cerulean, for Fluttershy?” she looked at me with pleading eyes, Rarity too as Fluttershy seemed to be spacing out in the back while Derpy was just curled up like a ball next to a wall.

“O-ok...” I uttered finally as I stood up, my legs wobbled a bit before getting a grip on the ground.

“Good,” said Applejack, “now then, head East to Twilight’s, ya can’t miss it. It’s a large, shiny, crystal like castle ok?”

“O-ok...” I uttered again.

Applejack helped me to the door but I was my own then. I still had no idea what had happened, I didn’t know what happened to Fluttershy nor myself or why Derpy was in a traumatic like state right now. My mind wasn’t working correctly also, it was only silent as I looked in the direction Applejack told me to look at. I saw Twilight’s castle next, it didn’t seem too far away and I could easily fly there but my wings were acting strange now. When I unfolded them they were stiff as a rock and kinda dropped to the ground. I had no idea why I was acting so strange but at least I was able to hoof it to Twilight’s.

Along the way I stopped when my mind flashed an image of a stallion covered in dirt and blood. My body tensed so tightly it felt like I could explode, my head screamed in agony as my vision blurred for a moment. Part of me felt like it was losing it while the other was in a rampage. I could feel a seething rage building up but it went away just like that. I was finally able to stand but my body was trembling now, tears were gushing out now also as I finally remember what happened.

Part 4: Fight For Your Freedom

View Online

By the time I made it to Twilight’s I had a trail of misery and tears behind me, when I came up to her door the guards stopped me but only for a second before they saw the state I was in. They personally escorted me to Twilight, one pony was guiding us while the other was asking me what had happened. I didn’t say a word to them, if I did they would throw me right out, no questions asked. When we came to the room Twilight was in they waited before permission was given to enter. Once inside they called over to Twilight who was currently reading a book in her library.

“Your highness, this stallion needs your help.” said one of the guards, “He appears to be in a state of shock right now but we’re not sure what happened.”

Twilight nonchalantly put her book down before walking over to us, she examined me before motioning her guards to leave, “I can handle this, thank you.” she said in a calm manner.

With a bow the guards left, closing the door behind them as they made their leave. Once gone Twilight walked me over to a table and pulled a seat out for me. She then told me to sit while she went to go fetch a book somewhere. When she left I just layed my head down and closed my tired eyes for a moment. They only opened when I heard Twilight returning in the distance.

Sitting up I turned to see her holding a rather outdated book that she placed before herself on the table, “W-what’s that?” I wondered with a shaky voice.

Twilight looked over and smiled from hearing me speak, “A book on healing spells, I never really got to use it all that much but I figured this is the best opportunity I can get.”

“So am I just your lab r-rat n-n-now?” I mumbled quietly.

Twilight only smiled as she flipped through some pages before turning to me, “This should restore some of your mental stability.” she explained as she cast an aura around me.

We waited silently as the aura was drawn into my head, as it shrank in size I found myself feeling almost normal now. My trembling was beginning to cease and my body was beginning to relax. My mind felt at ease once the aura was completely gone, I could think clearly now and take in a casual breath. This also meant I could focus on what’s at task right now.

“How do you feel?” questioned Twilight as she took a look at me.

“Much better haha...” I smiled with gratitude to her, “I think I should be able to handle myself for now.”

Twilight nodded and took a seat next to me, “Now then, would you care to explain what happened?” she asked kindly.

I frowned a bit now at her question, “It’s a long story but can it wait? Fluttershy really needs your help right now.”

“What happened to Fluttershy?” Twilight wondered, “Is everything alright?”

“You’ll find out once we help her, she’s in Rarity’s house right now and I don’t know how much longer she can last.”

Twilight needed no more explanation as she grabbed the book she brought and teleported us to Rarity’s house. I was a little surprised considering this was my first time being teleported to one area to another. It felt strange really, my body was tingling slightly but only slightly. My vision was somewhat blurry too but once everything came into focus I followed Twilight to the door.

We didn’t bother with the doorbell as Twilight flung the door open, Applejack and Rarity jumped from the sudden entrance but quickly guided Twilight to Fluttershy. I followed behind while Twilight was told of Fluttershy’s condition, currently she was fighting to stay awake as the concussion was worse than we all had thought. We were brought to kitchen where Fluttershy was currently leaning over a wall to fight the concussion. When she noticed Twilight she tried to smile but nearly fell to the floor.

I caught her mid fall and helped her to the table, “Are you still there?” I questioned calmly as I steadied her, “Can you say something?”

Fluttershy squinted her eyes before replying, “Cerulean...” she muttered, “Is...Derpy...Ok?”

My eyes widened with shock, this whole time under her condition she was only thinking about Derpy, “Um...Yeah yeah she’s fine.” I replied, “I’ll go get her ok, in the meantime Twilight will take over ok.”

Before I could leave Fluttershy suddenly grabbed me and pressed her lips against mine for a moment, I was caught off guard completely and wasn’t sure what to do, “I love you...” she whispered quietly as she pulled away.

My face began to blush with confusion, “I love you too.” I replied as I questioned whether she was delirious or not but she was smiling now.

Taking my leave I went to go find Derpy, it didn’t much effort considering Rarity’s house wasn’t as big as Fluttershy’s. I found Derpy in Rarity’s bedroom by herself, she was silent of right now but her eyes were red from the overuse of tears and emotion. When she saw me she became tense but seemed approachable.

I carefully walked over to her and took a seat on the floor, “You doing ok?” I asked, “Did anyone manage hit to you from earlier?”

Derpy was distant but not so distant that she couldn’t respond, “You nearly killed that pony...”

I frowned at her words and sighed, “Yeah...If Fluttershy hadn’t been there who knows what could’ve happened.”

“Why?” questioned Derpy.

“Why what?” I replied.

“Why were you so angry, I understand that you feel bad for me but what made you lose it that badly?” Derpy’s voice rose up with each word, “I know he hurt Fluttershy and he said all those things to me, but why were you going so far with it?”

I wasn’t sure how to explain myself, at this point I wanted to tell her who I really was. What my past was like and the trouble I went through before Fluttershy came into my life, I wanted to tell her everything but Celestia was keeping me from saying a word. I gritted my teeth in hesitance before leaning back, my head was beginning to spin and I felt a seething rage building up again. My arms began to shake and my head felt like it was being hammered now.

I looked over to Derpy, I could feel more of my rage building up but when I spoke it was suddenly gone, “There’s more to me than what I led you to believe...” I said quietly, “What I’m about to tell you is something that must be kept a secret, do you understand?”

Derpy raised a brow at me in question, “What are you talking about?” she wondered suspiciously.

I wasn’t sure where to begin, “I’m not really a pony,” I explained, “I’m actually a human.” I could see Derpy wasn’t following too well but I continued, “I come from another world, one filled with violence, anger and madness. I started out with a family but my mother and father didn’t love me, they actually tried to sell me for something called drugs when I was two months old but my brother and sister took me away and we left them. A few years later they died in an accident and a few more years later I lost my brother and sister, I was on my own after that until I came across a mare that changed my life.”

Derpy began putting the pieces together, “Fluttershy...?” she muttered quietly.

I nodded my head and continued, “At first we didn’t say much to each other, I wasn’t really the talkative type and well you already know of Fluttershy’s shyness.” I couldn’t help myself as I began to smile, “As time went on we finally said a few words and those few words turned into conversations and those conversations formed into a relationship I can’t even begin to explain. She calls it love but I’m not exactly cupid so I had no idea how to handle that.” my face blushed when I remembered the first time I kissed Fluttershy, “We spent the next 40-50 years together, I aged to an old fart while Fluttershy stayed the same. We never knew why but it was rather sad because we feared that I would pass away soon and Fluttershy would be alone after that.”

“Wait 40-50 years?” interrupted Derpy, “How old are you?”

I laughed at her questioned, “Well i’m going to say maybe 70-80 at most, really I lost count but I didn’t learn how to count until Twilight taught me math.” Derpy was even more confused now but continued to listen, “So like said, 40-50 years pass by and i’m old and Fluttershy isn’t, we weren’t sure why that was the case but one day, after so many years her friends finally found us. With them were Celestia and Luna,” I paused as I grew a little tense now on this part, “Celestia did most the talking while Luna kinda just sat on the side lines along with Fluttershy’s friends. Celestia and I talked about things and I told her that Fluttershy wanted me to come with her to her world, this turned into a argument as Celestia said it would pose too many risks. It soon led to Celestia attacking us and I managed to take her down but I couldn’t end her...”

Derpy was now a little scared to where this was going, “Cerulean...What are you trying to say?” she asked nervously.

I paused, really I wasn't’ sure what I trying to say to her, “I guess...I guess I wanted to tell you this because I couldn’t hold this from you anymore.”

“But why?” she wondered, “Why are you telling me all this?”

“I figured that if I were to be taken back to my world, I’d at least want my friends to know the real me, not some lie Celestia made me out to be.”

“Why is this all pointing to Celestia?” Derpy asked, “Why do you despise her?”

“Because it was her that sent Fluttershy over to my world,” I replied, “it was all a set up. The years we spent, were just data to her as it was a test to see if humans were ready for ponies.” Derpy’s eyes widened as I continued, “When Fluttershy and I found out, I was broken, shattered to pieces as I wondered what was real and what was not. To make it worse, Celestia assigned me watcher's, one of them being Fluttershy and the rest were her friends. They are all supposed to teach me something about life so that I can fit in this world, i’m also supposed to have tests and if I pass them I assume I can stay with Fluttershy but if I fail, I’m brought back to my world, no way of coming back.” I had tears in my eyes now as I began to finish, “The scary thing is, I don’t know whether this is a test because I still don’t know what’s real and what isn’t. There’s so much wrong with this I don’t even know what to do, I don’t want to go back, i’d rather die than go back into that hellhole that is my world!” I couldn’t speak now as my throat tensed up from the tears.

It was a lot for Derpy to take in, honestly I wasn’t sure how she was handling it all but when she saw me break down something in her awoken. She stood up and came by side and stood firmly before me, “You fight for freedom.” she said, “I don’t know how but you have to fight Celestia.”

I managed to utter a chuckle, “That’s what I said when Fluttershy and I found out but how can I take her on?”

“That’s up to you,” Derpy replied as she placed her wing over me, “but know that i’ll be by your side when the time comes. Me, Fluttershy, Applejack, Pinkie, Rarity, Twilight and whoever you meet along the way, we’ll all be by your side as long as you keep fighting and never lose hope. If you do, then it would have all been for nothing.”

I was a mess of tears at this point as I tackled Derpy to the floor, I sobbed uncontrollably from her words. Derpy only held me until I stopped, much like Fluttershy ironically. When I settled she sat me up and smiled, “I don’t know what will happen in the future,” she said happily, “but I can guarantee you that i’ll be by your side all the way. Even when i’m not physically there, i’ll be in your heart ok?”

I wiped my tears and sniffled, “Alright...” I muttered as I began to smile, “You mind not telling anypony about this?” I questioned with a reddish face, “The last thing I want them to talk about is how I cried like a baby right now.”

“Awe, but what if I like seeing you open up?” said a familiar voice.

My eyes widened at the voice as I looked over to see a yellow mare with a pink mane and calm blue eyes, “Oh god...” I uttered as my face turned dark red, “H-how long were you there F-Fluttershy?”

Fluttershy simply smiled and walked over to me, following her were the rest who were all smiling as well. They all surrounded me before they charged in for a hug that nearly ended me as I could feel my eyes were about ready to pop out. The only thing that was missing was Rainbow Dash but knowing her she would be balling as hard as I was. She would then pretend she wasn’t crying and try to make fun of me for it until Fluttershy says something back that completely shuts her up.

“We know this is a heavy burden,” said Twilight.

“but like Derpy said,” said Applejack.

“we will always be by your side.” said Rarity.

“As long as you never lose hope or stop smiling,” said Pinkie.

“you’ll one day rise up and get the freedom you deserve,” said Fluttershy.

“AND WE’LL ALL BY YOUR SIDE WHEN THE DAY COMES!” shouted everyone.

I was fighting back the tears that were forming again but when I turned to Fluttershy I couldn’t help myself as I tackled her to the ground now. This only led to a dog pile on us as everypony piled over one another. We nearly squeezed Fluttershy flat with our combined weight but we quickly pulled out and had a good laugh.

Afterwards we took a moment of silence as we look at one another, if only Rainbow were here, I mumbled to myself as I kissed Fluttershy’s cheek. This provoked the others to make kissing face at us and other gestures that were questionable. It got awkward when Pinkie began riding Applejack for some reason, I actually understood what she meaning but it was so uncalled for. This left everypony in a awkward silence as we all just exchanged awkward glances to each other.

“Let’s go get Rainbow Dash.” I said quietly.

Part 5: Doctor Who?

The sun was starting to set when we got to Rainbow Dash’s house, luckily for us we made it here with no problems. We actually didn’t bother with the clouds again since Derpy didn’t want to waste time. She seemed to be doing better now, she didn’t look as traumatized as before but the talk we had did wonders for her. I’m actually glad I told her the truth, I was also completely drained emotionally considering today. At least it was the end of the day and Rainbow Dash was the last one we needed to see today.

“How you feeling?” questioned Twilight, “Everything alright in your end?”

I yawned in response and smiled, “Yeah I’m all good, exhausted but good.” Twilight smiled back, “So how did you handle being told what I did?”

“It was...Unsettling and unexpecting,” Twilight explained with slight uneasiness, “I knew you could fight but, I never imagined you to go to that point of extreme.”

“You sound like Derpy,” I argued in a low tone, “really I don’t know why I couldn’t stop myself. I’m normally in control but something in my just went berserk and well, you already know what happened.”

“I think we all have our moments...” Twilight said before looking up at Rainbow’s house, “Let’s just hope she’s home and not off doing something reckless.”

We laughed at the remark then asked who would be the one to get her. Without needing an answer Pinkie launched herself into Rainbow Dash’s house with her party cannon that she somehow pulled out from thin air. She adjusted herself before pulling the cord that made the cannon fire her out and rainboom speed. She defiantly had no problem breaking through the house even though it is made out of clouds. However, like Pinkie she overdid it and instead of firing into the house, she fired through the house and was soon out of sight.

“TOO MUCH POWER!!!” she yelled as her voice grew distant.

Coming out of the house in a panic was a Pegasus mare with a light blue coat, rainbow colored mane and tail and magenta like eyes. Her flank bared a storm cloud that was sending a rainbow lightening down. You could easily guess her name with the colors but it’s not like I’ve said her name a few times already.

“What just happened!?” cried the mare as she scanned the area around her, “I was just napping one moment then suddenly Pinkie Pie came bursting through my floor and out the roof!”

“Good to see you’re awake Rainbow Dash!” I shouted in the distance, “Would you mind if we had a talk?”

Rainbow looked over to us with still some shock in her, “Did you not see Pinkie fly by just now?” she wondered as she still continued to look around.

I smiled seeing her worry for her dear but uncontrollable friend, “Knowing her she’ll be back in no time!” I replied, “Why don’t you come down, we need to have a talk.”

Rainbow groaned at the last part, “But I was busy napping!” she complained suddenly forgetting about her friend.

“The sun is setting,” I argued, “it won’t take long I promise.”

“Ugh fine.” Rainbow groaned as she flew down to us, “What is it?” she demanded before noticing Derpy, “Hey I haven’t seen you in a while, how you been?”

“YOU KNOW HER!?” shouted every pony in disbelief.

“Duh,” Rainbow replied with a bit of annoyance, “Derpy and I were the representatives for Ponyville along with Fluttershy and that big bulky pony. She was to my replacement and there was that one time we had to funnel out the water for Cloudsdale. I helped her out with proper flight stance and then there was that one time we were painting that banner thing for Applejack.” Rainbow would’ve continued on but she was stopped short when Pinkie Pie suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

She came down from above and dropped right onto Rainbow’s back, sending her a few meters down under making a pretty big hole in the process. When the dust and debris cleared Pinkie was seen leaning over Rainbow Dash with a smile, “Hello.” she said happily.

Rainbow groaned in pain before shaking her head, “Hello Pinkie Pie...” she grunted before pushing her off and herself up, “Fancy meeting you here.”

“Why is it so fancy?” questioned Pinkie as she got up herself, “Is it because Rarity is here?”

“It’s just a saying...” muttered Rainbow before helping Pinkie up to the surface.

When they were above ground they dusted themselves off, “Now then...” said Rainbow as she gathered her bearings, “What do you want to talk about?” It was clear to see was pretty ticked off at this point so I made it quick. I explained to her how Derpy’s been feeling, how she’s been treated around the other ponies in Ponyville and how today went. When I told her about the incident she seemed rather horrified but also seemed to understand where I was coming from. She was completely thrown back however, when I told her that I confessed my true story to Derpy.

“You mean to tell me you told her that you’re human?” Rainbow asked as she looked over to Derpy with worry, “What did she say about it?”

“She’s ok with it,” I replied happily, “she’s not going to say a word about this to anyone but us.”

“I see,” said Rainbow as she looked over to Derpy with now gratitude, “so what did you need me for?” she wondered.

“We need your help,” I explained, “we all want to help Derpy out with this problem she’s been facing for a while and we’re wondering if you could help us. We don’t have plan but I’m sure with our combined efforts we can think of something.”

Rainbow was already on board with the first few words, it was easy to see it in her eyes, “Count me in!” she shouted proudly as she kicked her front legs up, “I’d love to help out cause I never leave a friend hanging!”

I smiled happily with her answer, “Well now that that’s settled, where should we meet to discuss our plan tomorrow?”

“Why not at Twilight’s,” suggested Fluttershy, “it’ll be the only place where no one can try to sneak up on us like earlier.”

“Good point,” I replied as I turned to Twilight, “you don’t mind right?” I asked.

“Of course not,” answered Twilight, “if it’s to help a friend then as the Princess of Friendship it is my duty to see it through.”

Some of us smile while Pinkie and Derpy cheered for joy, Pinkie kept it going but Derpy immediately grew red in the face and stopped, “Um...Hehe.” she uttered awkwardly as she tried to pretend that nothing happened.

“Should we all head home then?” I wondered as I turned to the setting sun, “It’s getting late and I don’t want to keep you all waiting if you need to be home.”

“Yer right about that,” said Applejack, “tonight Granny is cooking up her famous sweet apple cinnamon pie and I DO NOT want to miss out on that!” she began high tailing it home, “I’ll see you all tomorrow, take care!” she shouted as her voice grew distance.

“I suppose I ought to head home as well,” said Rarity, “Sweetie Belle must be waiting on me for dinner, tonight we’re ordering take out so I’m sure she’s getting a little irritable with my absence.”

“You mind saving us some chow for tomorrow?” I wondered as I gave her the puppy dog look, “I haven’t had all that much to eat...”

Rarity smirked as she raised her brow at me, “That’s not what Applejack told me.” she argued.

I grew silent for a moment before laughing, “Well at least you pay attention.” I mumbled, “Smart and fabulous, what more could a pony want!”

Rarity rolled her eyes, “Well it’s not quite so easy to be this elegant.” she argued as she played with her mane a little.

“Yeah you got about a few good years of looking good before it all goes downhill.”

“Ha-ha yes I do- A FEW YEARS!?” cried Rarity as she pulled a mirror out of nowhere, “Oh good heavens, CROWS FEET!” she screamed as she high tailed it home herself, “I GOTTA GET A FACIAL NOW!”

“It was a joke!” I shouted but she was already out of hearing range, “Talk about obsessive.” I grumbled.

Every pony laughed, “I hope she doesn’t worry about it tomorrow.” said Twilight as she looked over to Derpy, “What will you do for the time being now Derpy?” she wondered.

Derpy shrugged, “I guess I could stay with Cerulean and Fluttershy again,” she suggested as she turned to the direction of Ponyville, “for now I want to avoid going home because I’m afraid some ponies will try to break in and do something with me...”

“That’s completely understandable,” said Twilight as she now turned to Fluttershy and I, “you two don’t mind right?”

“NO I NEVER WANT TO SEE HER AGAIN!” I shouted before chuckling, “Heh just kidding, we don’t mind.” Fluttershy smacked me in the back of the head softly with her wing, “Ow...I was just joking!” I complained.

Fluttershy scolded me for a moment before smiling, “I know,” she replied happily, “but you shouldn’t do it too often.”

I pouted, “It was just a joke...”

“Maybe you should leave the jokes to me,” suggested Pinkie Pie, “you’re still learning and you came off more blunt than sarcastic.”

“GOD CAN I NOT BE FUNNY!?” I cried as I threw myself onto the ground like a ragdoll and laid there lifeless. The girls laughed my foolishness before helping me up but even then I continued to be a ragdoll as I threw my whole weight onto Fluttershy who was only able to hold me up for so long until her muscles gave out. I laid over her stomach with a smile on my face as she gasped for air, “I’m not that heavy right?” I wondered as I turned to the others.

“I’d assume you’re normal weight,” said Twilight as she used her magic to lift me up, “but without the proper weight measure I can’t be for sure.” she proclaimed as she plopped me to the ground and helped Fluttershy up.

I stopped playing around and pulled myself together, “So we’ll see each other tomorrow right?” I asked as I dusted myself off.

“Right,” acknowledged Rainbow Dash, “I don’t know when but I’m going to assume some time in the afternoon.” she said as she took flight, “Well I don’t know about you but I should get back to my nap, I’m starting to wake up and I’m not going to leave Tank hanging with his nap.” she said her goodbyes and flew up to her house. As for us we began making our way back to Ponyville, along the way we talked here and there but really we were pretty exhausted from what happened today.

As we walked with Twilight back to her castle Twilight suggested that we should stay with her for the night since what Derpy said about home had her worried and she wanted us to meet some pony. She didn’t say who but she hinted to Derpy that she would be very glad to meet him. So all we knew was it was a stallion pony and nothing more.

I’ve never spent the night in a castle before let alone have permission from a princess so was pretty honored to say yes. Fluttershy seemed hesitant though because she was worried about her animals but I reassured her that Angel would keep them safe. He is stubborn at most but he’s a pretty crafty rabbit, a bit abusive too but I luckily got him out of that.

By the time we made it to the castle the moon was up and no pony is supposed to be out at this time so going home was out of the picture. As we stepped inside Twilight greeted her guards and dismissed those who were leaving for the night. For them they were replaced by night guards who wore gray armor with some weapon. Most of them had spears but others had axes, swords, halberds and many more. I tried to get one of the guards to let me hold their weapon but they acted like I wasn’t there so that was a failed attempt.

“So when are we going to meet this pony?” I wondered as Twilight guided us through her castle, “You never said when he would come over.” I pointed out.

“Soon,” replied Twilight as she brought us to a room with a large dining table, “he’ll arrive shortly but for now why don’t we have some dinner. What you in the mood for?” she wondered as she showed us to our seats.

“Whatever you’re having,” replied Fluttershy as she took her seat, “we’re not too picky so pick what you want and we’ll go with it.”

“How about some muffins,” questioned Derpy, “Pinkie Pie was going to make us some at the candy shop but we were kicked out from the Cakes.” she said sadly.

“Sure thing,” said Twilight with a forgiving smile, “we’ll have them make you a batch. Will there be anything else?”

“Why not some cake?” I wondered, “If we’re having some sweets then why not some cake to go along with?”

Twilight giggled in delight from my idea, “To be honest I haven’t had cake or muffins in a while so that sounds good. What do you want Fluttershy?” she asked as she turned to her lastly.

“Oh I’ll just have what they’re having,” said Fluttershy, “you know I’m not one for ordering my own food.”

“Awe come on,” I urged, “you can’t order your own food even though it’s your best friends offer?”

Fluttershy smiled nervously, “Um...I guess I can give it a try.” she said as she turned to Twilight, “Would a soup and salad be ok?” she asked with a hesitant tone.

Twilight nodded, “Of course,” she said as she called over some pony from the kitchen, “we would like some muffins, cake, a soup and salad.” she instructed.

The pony wrote down her orders on a paper and ran into the kitchen, “Well that wasn’t so bad.” said Fluttershy as we all began waiting for our food, “I didn’t think it would this easy to order food.”

I raised my brow her with a chuckle, “I guess I ought to take you out to eat sometime then.” I suggested, “Would be nice though, I’ve never been to a restaurant or anything in that form level.”

“Well you were a hobo,” argued Twilight, “at least you had a home.”

“I thought hoboes didn’t have homes...” I wondered as Twilight and I looked at each other with confused faces.

“Hoboes don’t have homes,” explained Fluttershy, “you were an orphan Cerulean.”

“Oh,” I replied awkwardly, “well then.” we laughed at my stupidity before going back to waiting for our food which didn’t take too long since they were simple. Fluttershy’s salad and soup were the first to arrive while the cake and muffins took a little longer since they were just now being baked. When they were brought in we ate till our bellies were ready to burst, I ended up eating the most out of Derpy and Twilight. Fluttershy finished her foods and had took it upon herself with a muffin and a slice of cake.

“If I were king,” I groaned as I burped in satisfaction, “I’d have cake for dinner everyday.”

“You’d be one fat king then.” said Twilight with a laugh.

“I’d be the king of cake!” I declared before resting my head on the table, “Ugh, ok now i’m starting to regret it.” I groaned as my stomach began to growl from the overload of sweets.

“Please don’t vomit,” begged Fluttershy, “it wouldn’t be nice if you did.”

“Is that the only thing you’re worried about?” I wondered as I sunk down from my chair and onto the floor, “Ugh, so good but so bad for you.” I groaned and I curled into a ball of pain.

Derpy laughed, “I guess the king’s downfall was to come one way or another.”

The next half and a hour or so were spent with me gagging from feeling sick while Twilight and Derpy had a blast with it. Fluttershy made sure I was fine and gave me some water to help wash down all the sugar. Not long after I was feeling better but I was more tired now than before. Twilight’s guest hadn’t arrived yet and I don’t know how much longer I could last before collapsing from exhaustion. Today has been emotionally taxing on me, with Derpy and the truth and all, along with Applejack I’m pretty drained right now.

After our little mishap Twilight took us to her room where we were going to sleep, she would’ve waited on that but since her guest was running late she decided that he wasn’t going to show up. Her room was at the very top of the castle, from there we got a pretty good view of Ponyville and Equestria. It was pretty breathtaking, I was able to see Fluttershy’s house and the Everfree Forest that we happen to live near with. I also saw the Apple’s farm, the mountains and from afar Canterlot. I wasn’t all that excited though since Celestia lived there, if I had fingers i’d be using the middle one right about now and wishing that Celestia happened to get a glimpse of it.

“So I guess your guest isn’t coming tonight?” I asked as I looked around Twilight’s room.

“Afraid so,” replied Twilight, “it’s a shame though, I was really wanting you all to-” Twilight was interrupted as some pony knocked on the door, “Huh,” said Twilight as she opened the door with her magic, “come in!”

Walking was a stallion with a pulled back, spiky brown mane and brown tail. His eyes were a light blue and he wore a tie of some sort, his flank bared an hourglass though I wasn’t sure what it meant.

He was kind of a mess though as he was a bit sweaty and out of breath, “Terribly…Sorry Princess.” He said breathlessly with a strange accent, “I was…Lost in a…Crossword puzzle.” He collapsed as he became light headed, luckily Twilight softened his fall with her magic and laid him down gently.

Soon after though Derpy was all over the stallion with ecstatic eyes, “You’re here!” she cried with joy as she picked him up to hug him tightly, “I was so worried about you!” Derpy squeezed tighter and tighter as she was thrilled, “Why were you so late Doctor Whooves!?”

The stallion known as Doctor Whooves now chuckled before losing his breath, “If you put me down I’ll gladly tell you.” He pleaded as he started to turn blue.

Derpy failed to listened as she continued to squeeze more and more before Fluttershy stepped in and gently pulled her away, “Oh…Did I hug you too hard again?” questioned Derpy as she examined her supposed friend with some concern.

“No no I’m fine Derpy,” replied Doctor Whooves as he pushed himself up and took in a few deep breaths, “fancy meeting your acquaintance here in such an hour though.” He presumed, “Might I ask as to why you’re here and who are these lovely guests?” he gestured to Fluttershy and I with curiosity.

Derpy smiled, “That’s Fluttershy and Cerulean Protector, they’re helping with my problem and so far have gathered a few of their friends to help out.” She explained, “They’ve been really nice to me and have saved my hide a few times already so I owe them a little.”

Doctor Whooves smiled hearing this as he looked to Fluttershy and I with gratitude, “It’s nice to hear that some pony doesn’t hate Derpy,” he proclaimed as he bowed to us, “truly I am greatly to have an ally in this time of trouble.”

I couldn’t help but laugh at the way he spoke, it was so intelligent and well mannered, like if Rarity and Twilight were to be combined, “Well I did find Derpy crying in an alley,” I explained, “so it’s not like I couldn’t just let it be.”

Doctor Whooves chuckled, “Ah a noble spirit you are?” he wondered as he turned to Fluttershy, “I assume you were there too?”

“Me?” questioned Fluttershy, “Oh no I was home taking care of my critters when Cerulean came back with Derpy. I was then told what was going and couldn’t say no to help Derpy.”

“Critters?” said Doctor Whooves, “Are you some type of animal caretaker?”

“Why yes,” replied Fluttershy, “I take care of all the critters who need a little help in their lives. It’s a little stressful but with Cerulean around things haven’t been so bad.”

“Ah I thought I remembered your name and I take it you two are married?” questioned Doctor Whooves.

“M-MARRIED!?” we repeated awkwardly, “WE’RE JUST FRIENDS!”

Doctor Whooves took a step back and rubbed his ears for we possibly just blew them out, “I guess that was a touchy subject.” He proclaimed before coming to his senses, “Well either way, I’m delighted to have you helping us on this quest to save Derpy!”

“As long as we don’t have any more misunderstandings we’ll be fine.” I explained before yawning tiredly, “Why don’t we get caught up on some things tomorrow,” I suggested, “it’s pretty late and today’s been a bit grueling…”

“Grueling?” questioned Doctor Whooves with a bit of concern, “Might I ask what happened?”

I shook my head, “Derpy can fill you in,” I explained, “I hope you’re not the queasy type though.” Before Doctor Whooves could say any more I left him with the others and took a seat on the floor next to Twilight’s bed, “God I feel like shit now.” I mumbled as I began to close my eyes but before I could start falling asleep I felt someone come over my shoulder, “Didn’t you want to talk to Doctor Whooves some more?” I wondered as I opened my eyes to see Fluttershy sitting next to me.

“I didn’t want you to be alone.” Said Fluttershy as she huddled closely to me, “and you are right about it being late.”

I smiled seeing her compassion for me and the fact I didn’t mention it being late, “You doing ok?” I wondered as I examined were she was hit, “Do you still feel any pain from the rock?”

Fluttershy shook her head, “No, Twilight fixed me up pretty good.” She explained, “Thank you for asking though.”

I nodded my head but frowned a little, “I’m sorry you had to see me like that…” I said quietly, “I really don’t know what came over me…”

“You were protecting us,” argued Fluttershy, “you had a good reason but…It was rather scary to see you like that.” She regrettably admitted, “I may have not been completely there but I do remember the tone of your voice and some blood…”

I sighed as some tears began to form, “I want to protect you,” I began, “I want to protect you and all our friends but…I don’t want to brutally slaughter someone in the process. Like you said, there’s always another way and violence is never the answer. There’s always another way…”

“But sometimes…” said Fluttershy, “You have to kill to protect someone you care about.”

I didn’t want to argue with her considering I wasn’t in the right mental state due to today’s events. I simply pressed my lips against Fluttershy’s cheek for a moment, pulled away and rested my head on the floor. Fluttershy huddled closely to me and wrapped me in her wings so I wouldn’t get cold. Then, we slowly drifted off into sleep as everything around us was slowly shut off until it was just blank.

On the other side of the room Doctor Whooves watched Cerulean and Fluttershy with confusion and concern, “A man can go through so much till they reach their breaking point.” He said as he noticed Cerulean’s tears despite the distance, “You sir, have been through much but was it for our friend or for you supposed beloved? I can only wonder so far until I’m too immersed in it and I must take a step back.” He looked over to Derpy who was talking to Twilight, “But I must ask this,” he said as he approached the two, “how far will you go for her?”

Part 6: The Plan

View Online

When I woke up the following morning, I wasn’t a hundred percent but I was doing far better than last night. My head was throbbing and my eyes were dry but I was a bit more cheerful to everypony this morning. During breakfast I was able to chat for a little to everyone before quietly finishing my hash browns at the end. We had a simple egg omelet with, as you already know, hash browns and some water to wash down with. I practically gobbled down my food since last night left me a bit famished.

Once breakfast was over with, we chatted a little more until Twilight was told of her duties for the day. She seemed lucky as today she was only told to handle the problem she’s currently assisting in. It was actually a surprise to hear it because we assumed only Twilight knew about this but when you think about it she has to inform others instead of Spike who seemed to be absent right now. When I think about it, I haven’t seen him all day nor have I seen him during breakfast. Where is the little guy?

“Hey Twilight?” I called out as I made my way over to her, “Where’s Spike, I haven’t seen him at all since I came in yesterday.” Everyone turned to Twilight as the realization hit them that the little dragon assistant was apparently missing right now.

“He’s on another Dragon Quest,” explained Twilight, “he actually left a week ago but he never said when he’ll come back. The only thing he said was that it was important and left in a hurry…”

This didn’t sound promising as we all exchanged concerned faces to one another before turning back to Twilight, “I’m sure he’ll be fine,” reassured Fluttershy, “he has survived all our adventures so I’m sure another Dragon Quest is a cake walk at this point.”

Twilight smiled a little, “You’re right,” she said with more confidence, “I should have more faith in my number one assistant.”

“Slash son.” I added abruptly, making Twilight roll her eyes and laugh.

“Dragons are a force to be reckon with,” said Doctor Whooves, “though there is so little on them just the sight of them is all that is needed to know that they mean business.” He shuttered a little as he pictured a full grown dragon for a moment, “Ahem,” he said next as he cleared mind, “now that that’s out of the way. What are we to do for the time being?” he wondered, “From what Derpy has told me we only have an hour until noon but even then we never set a pacific time to meet nor have we established a meeting room.”

“We have our meetings in the table room,” said Twilight, “the table room is in the center of this castle and it’s on the first floor. We always gather there when the map summons us but it also serves as a meeting room too.”

“Hmm…I see,” Said Doctor Whooves with curiosity, “and how does such a place ‘summon’ you?” he wondered with emphasis on summon.

Twilight shrugged her shoulders, “It just does,” she said simply, “it is powered by the Elements of Harmony after all.”

“Ah, the Elements of Harmony.” Said Doctor Whooves with some hesitance, “I forget that you wield the strongest of them, Magic and Miss Fluttershy here wields Kindness. Truly spectacular beings you two are and same goes to the other element wielders…”

“Is there anything you would like to know about with the Elements?” questioned Twilight, making Doctor Whoove’s ears twitch at the words as it seemed to be music to them.

“Oh you have no idea how much of a delight that would be!” replied Doctor Whooves as he pulled out a note pad and quill from thin air.

“Should we stop them?” I wondered as Fluttershy, Derpy and I just watched and listened on the sidelines. All I got from Fluttershy was a shrug while Derpy seemed to be interested too on what Twilight had to say. This actually led to Twilight talking about the Elements of Harmony for the whole hour which was pretty convenient. I actually zoned out after ten minutes so I missed out on a lot, Fluttershy was the one to snap me out of it but only at the end as it was time to make our way to the meeting room.

This didn’t take long at all as Twilight simply teleported us to the place with her magic. This beat the walking down of the stairs since we would’ve taken forever if Twilight wasn’t so fond of her teleportation spell.

I’ve only seen the meeting room once and it was when Twilight was looking for a room to teach me in two years ago. This room would’ve been it if Twilight wasn’t so concerned on the table acting up for some strange reason if we actually went through with it. This sadly led to Twilight having a mild panic attack where she assumed the worst possible scenarios about anything her mind could think of. One of them being that the table would suddenly spring up and turn into a crystal golem that would ravaged the lands because we thought using the room as a place for me to learn was a good idea.

Talk about bad anxiety…

As we all took our seats we ended up noticing the shortage of seats, this was quickly handled as Twilight conjured up some chairs with her magic and had us sit. All that was left to do now is wait and luckily not for long. Thirty minutes in Rarity came up, she was greeted with warm welcomes and introduction to Doctor Whooves. The same went for the rest who showed up together not too long after Rarity. Once things were settled, and everypony was seated Twilight addressed the problem.

“As you already know,” Twilight began with a formal tone, “our friend Derpy here is going through a tough time right now. For some strange reason everyone in Ponyville hates her yet we here don’t.” she said with a bit of suspicion, “I don’t know if any of you noticed but all of us, including my royal guards, don’t seemed to be irritated by Derpy.” She pointed out, “Why this is how it is I don’t know, but what I do know is it’s our duty to help Derpy regain her friendship with the citizens of Ponyville.”

“It won’t be an easy task,” proclaimed Applejack, “like Twilight said everyone but us and the guard ponies hate Derpy.”

“That’s why we’re all here,” said Pinkie, “to help out!”

“But exactly how?” questioned Rarity.

“We can’t just go up to them and force them to like Derpy,” I said with a low grumble, “That will for sure go downhill pretty quickly but there’s got to be something we can do!”

“Maybe we can ask around and see why everypony hates Derpy so much.” Fluttershy suggested.

“That’s too risky for you,” argued Twilight, “from what I can assume everyone will remember you, Cerulean and Derpy from yesterday’s incident and the last thing we need is for more blood to be shed.”

“But what about you girls?” questioned Fluttershy, “Surely you won’t have too much trouble asking around about Derpy.”

“Maybe but what if they get mad?” said Rainbow, “If we fight them then it’ll just add more stress into the situation we’re in.”

“How about we ask them but not in person.” Suggested Doctor Whooves, making us all turn to him in confusion since what he said didn’t make the slightest bit of sense to us, “What if instead of us going to each house asking about Derpy, we send them a letter that they’ll open and inside is a request from Princess Twilight asking about what the citizens think of Derpy and what she can do to improve the situation.”

We all gave it a moment’s thought before turning to Twilight for her answer, “That’s not a bad idea,” she said with an approving tone, “but where exactly are we going to get the paper?”

“Is that really the only problem we have for that?” I questioned with a bit of disappoint, “Why don’t we just take some paper from the news press ponies, I’m sure they have a ton of extra paper lying around.”

“Stealing is against the law,” argued Twilight, “you could go to jail for it!”

“Not if I don’t get caught.” I argued, “I have stolen stuff before and it’s pretty easy if you know how to do it.”

“Surely there must be another way instead of stealing,” said Rarity as she sighed with a bit of annoyance, “Twilight could just ask them for the paper, no one can say no to the Princess right?”

“Good point,” I mumbled, feeling a little stupid for my idea now, “that’ll save the trouble all together and once we get the letters out we just have to wait for a reply.”

“Actually,” said Twilight, “I can just make copies of one letter and send them all out to everypony in Ponyville.”

“Why didn’t you say that before?” wondered Derpy as she looked a little irritated at Twilight.

“Sort of slipped my mind,” Twilight admitted sheepishly, “plus I had my mind in other places.”

“Is it on that Flash Sentry pony?” wondered Applejack.

“N-NO!” Twilight blurted out with a red face, “I haven’t thought of him since I last saw him!” she proclaimed with a shaky voice.

“When the last time you saw him?” questioned Pinkie.

“…Three days ago.” Said Twilight as she dropped her head onto the table, “Ugh, why me?” she wondered helplessly.

“Who’s this Flash Sentry?” I wondered.

“A royal guard pony in the Crystal Empire that Twilight likes.” Explained Fluttershy, “She’s had a crush on him for a while but she’s never said a word to him about it.”

“I see,” I said with some interest now, “and how long has Twilight known this pony?”

“A few years to say the least,” said Rarity, “we’ve tried to get them to go out on multiple occasions but Twilight isn’t exactly the romantic type of pony.”

“You don’t say…” I mumbled as I looked over to Twilight who still had her red face on the table, “Well aside from failed attempts on love, let’s get this thing done with and save Derpy!”

“Yeah!” shouted everypony while Twilight gave a weak and pathetic, “Yeah…”

We brought out the quill and paper and gave it to Twilight, next she wrote out a request to the citizens of Ponyville. Once she was done, with a simple spark of her horn the written paper doubled, then tripled, and then quadrupled and so on until there was enough for everypony in Ponyville. Next Twilight called out a few of her guards and ordered them to take all the letters to each pony in town. Lastly the guards bowed and did as told, all taking a certain amount of letters before rushing out to deliver them.

“So now what?” wondered Rainbow as she looked around the now quiet castle, “Do we just wait?”

“I guess so…” replied Twilight, “That’s all we can really.”

“How long do you think it’ll take?” I wondered.

“Maybe half the day?” said Twilight, “And we only spent about an hour of thinking and doing the plan Doctor Whooves came up with.”

We all groaned at the next task now, waiting. “Well is any pony up for a nap?” suggested Applejack, “We got a lot of time to kill and I suppose a nap could shed an hour or two off.”

Some shrugged at the idea while Rainbow Dash and I were all in for it, “If there’s one thing I’m good at,” said Rainbow Dash, “is napping!”

“Same here.” I added, “I used to nap all the time back in my place so this is going to be easy!”

“But what if…” mumbled Fluttershy, “What if we’re not tired…?”

There was a moment of silence, “How about a walk?” suggested Twilight, “To the Castle of the Two Sisters?”

“The what?” I questioned with confusion, “Where’s that at?”

“Have I never talk about that place before?” said Fluttershy awkwardly, “Maybe it must’ve slipped my mind…”

“Eh don’t worry about it,” I argued as I brought Fluttershy over to my side, “I’m fine with whatever anyone chooses.”

“So?” wondered Pinkie, “Is it nappy time or walk to memory lane?” Most of us went with the second option and so our new task for the time being was to visit the Castle of The Two Sisters. I’ve never been there nor have I heard about it for the whole two years that I’ve lived here. Part of me was a little hesitant on going but it’s not like I could’ve done something better so I had no choice really.

The True Culprit Is…
When we returned from the Everfree Forest we brought a friend with us who could assist us in the situation. She was a zebra that lived in the Everfree Forest, she spoke in riddles with a strange accent and she wore gold hoops on her neck, left front leg, and ears. She carried with her a welcoming but somewhat mischievous expression on her face as she smiled to anyone who came her way. There was also something else about her that I couldn’t figure out, I don’t know what but when I’m close to her I feel a little strange. Her name is Zecora.

“It troubles me to hear your stories of woe.” Said Zecora as she glanced over to Derpy, “Through the normal eye she may seem fine but with other senses it is easy to tell that something is troubling our dear Derpy Whooves.”

“Um right…” I said awkwardly since I wasn’t sure what the heck she was saying. I’ve only talked to her about three times at most and that was when I first came to this world. Immediately she could tell I wasn’t from this world from the ‘energy’ I was giving off. I wasn’t sure what that meant but Zecora then advised me to never take matters into extreme for the consequences could be dire. I always assumed she meant don’t be stupid about things but now I’m starting to see what she meant by not letting my anger take over…At least that’s what I’m assuming.

“Ya think everypony in town replied to your letters?” questioned Applejack, “I don’t see any letters around nor did I see anypony as we made our way back from the Everfree Forest.”

“I actually have a room where all my mail is put in,” said Twilight as she began to led us to said room, “it’s on the second floor so we can just walk there.”

“What no teleportation now?” Rainbow Dash complained, “I could fly there easily if I wanted to ya know.”

Twilight rolled her eyes, “Exercise is good for you Rainbow Dash so by all means, go stretch your wings or something while we take our time.”

“You don’t have to tell me twice!” said Rainbow as she darted through the halls to wherever the wind was taking her.

“Let’s hope she doesn’t get lost.” Urged Rarity, “Last time I was lost I almost started eating the walls.”

“But there’s made of crystal…” argued Pinkie, “How exactly could you-“

“When you’re hungry enough anything looks appealing.” Said Rarity in a strict tone as she didn’t bother turning to Pinkie Pie.

“Remind me to tell Twilight to put maps on each floor.” I whispered over to Fluttershy.

“Dually noted.” Fluttershy whispered back, “Oh and remind me that we have to wash the animals after this.”

As we followed Twilight a few guards passed by, some greeted Twilight and us while others only greeted the Princess and pretended like we didn’t exist. Despite the rudeness of that I didn’t let it get to me since the walk left me in a good mood. I still would’ve like to nap but the walk was a mind easer so it’s a win win I suppose.

By the time we made it to Twilight’s mail room Rainbow Dash was already there, leaning over the wall with an impatient look on her face. When she noticed us she groaned in annoyance, “ABOUT TIME!” she shouted, “Do you know how long I’ve been waiting!?” Before we could reply Rainbow continued, “Ten minutes, TEN MINUTES!” she cried, “Ugh those were the longest ten minutes of my life, do you know what I’ve could’ve done in ten minutes?”

“Not complain to us?” I argued with an irritated tone, “Or maybe you could’ve napped.” Rainbow Dash would’ve continued but it seemed like my words were enough to shut her up as she realized she was basically being a baby. Afterwards we entered the mail room only to be stop at the first few steps at the mountain of letters that stood before us. It was so high I think it actually touched the ceiling! “How many did you send Twilight?” I cried with shock.

“Only enough for everypony in Ponyville!” said Twilight with disbelief, “How could we have gotten so many!?”

“My oh my do you know how long I’ve been waiting here for you ponies?” said an unfamiliar voice from within the mountain of letters, “Honestly I thought good friend never keep a friend waiting.”

“Oh geez.” Groaned Twilight as everyone but Fluttershy and I sighed with what’s about to come, “He’s here, again.” She mumbled.

Before I could even ask who he was, a being I have never seen emerged from the mountain of letters. At first glance I wanted to turn tail and run for the hills but as I got a better look at this being…Well I wasn’t sure what the hell I was even looking at.

From the top it had mismatched horns, its eyes were yellow with red pupils while it’s head was of a goat from what I could tell. Its body was of an eagle while its right arm was of a lion and the other a bird of some sort. To the lower bottom it had the leg of a alligator or crocodile while the other was of a hoof legged animal. Dragon like spines were shown as it made its way down to its dragon like tail that seemed to be waving in mischief as this monstrosity was staring us down with a smirk.

“Hello Discord.” Groaned everypony but Fluttershy and I, Fluttershy seemed delighted to see this fellow being while I on the other hand was wondering if Zecora might’ve slipped a wild mushroom into me.

“A pleasure to be of your acquaintance as well.” Said Discord as he slithered over to Fluttershy for a hug, “And a delight to see you my best friend.” He said with joy as him and Fluttershy held each other for what seemed to be an awkwardly long time.

“Um…Ahem?” I blurted abruptly, “I don’t mean to be rude but how do I put it delicately…Oh yes, WHAT THE HELL AM I LOOKING AT!” I cried in horror, “God this is the most the fucked up thing I’ve seen my whole life and I’ve seen many things so you know that’s saying a lot!”

“Cerulean!” scolded Fluttershy, “Where are you manners?”

“Manners, do you really think I’d worry about manners when I’m staring at that thing over there!” I argued as I pointed to Discord who seemed to be laughing at all this.

“Oh no it’s quiet alright,” said Discord as he put down Fluttershy and went over to me, “as you already heard, my name is Discord and I am the Master of Chaos.” He proclaimed with high authority, “I am also a Draconequus but you need not to worry about that.” He said casually as he pulled up a chair from nowhere and sat me down, “Now then,” said Discord as I was now in some theater with Discord up on stage, “my story starts like this. A thousand years ago I used to rule all of Equestria with an iron paw, or claw, and all trembled beneath my power. But one day, Celestia and Luna came by and put an end to my rain, using the Elements of Harmony to turn me into stone and for a thousand years I was locked, unable to move or speak. It was hard yes but one day, after many many many many MANY years later, during a class field trip a group of girls came by arguing and bringing discord about. Their little dispute was enough to awaken me and soon I was free and once again, Equestria was thrown into chaos until the new Element Wielders, Twilight and her friends, put an end to it as well and encased me in stone. For another year or so I was back to my old cold cell until fate smiled upon me. I was given another chance by Celestia as I was assigned watchers.” He took a moment to pause as he cleared his throat, “Your friends were to reform me and Fluttershy was the only one up to task for it, as for the others well they had their doubts but soon Fluttershy opened my eyes as I saw how valuable friendship is. So now as I stand here today I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for my best friend Fluttershy.” He shed a few tears that he wiped away with a napkin that appeared before him then disappeared after.

The theater and chairs all disappeared with a poof and we were all back in the mail room with the mountain of letters, “That’s some story.” I muttered as I gathered my bearings, “Well it’s good to hear that you’re doing the right thing now but can I ask what are you doing here?”

“Oh ho-ho yes how silly of me,” said Discord as he laughed at himself, “I came here to say hello to Fluttershy but when I came by the castle was empty, if you ignore the guards. So I did a little exploring and soon found myself in this room and since the giant stack of letters was here I assumed this is where you’d all be but I didn’t expect for you to bring some guest.” He looked over to Derpy and Doctor Whooves before noticing Zecora, “Ah yes the zebra of the woods, how are you?” he wondered as he hurried over to Zecora to shake her hoof, “It’s been a little while hasn’t it?”

“Haha I supposed it has,” replied Zecora as she took a step back, “it is good to see you again Master of Chaos. It’s nice to see that you have change so much in so little time.”

“Oh please,” boasted Discord as he grew red in the face, “you’re just saying that.”

“Well it’s true!” argued Fluttershy, “You’ve learned so much in so little and I’m so proud of you for that.”

Discord smiled before looking over to me with curiosity, “Forgive me but I haven’t gotten your name.” he insisted.

“Cerulean,” I said happily, “Cerulean Protector. Nice to meet you Discord, Master of Chaos.”

“Oh I like you already,” said Discord as he slithered around me with envy, “I can tell you and I are going to get along just well!” he proclaimed confidently, “With your help who knows what we can achieve.”

“What do you mean?” I wondered.

“Huh? Oh sorry I got lost in thought,” Discord muttered as he wrapped his body around me and lifted me up, “might I ask as to how you came across to these ponies?” he asked nicely.

“It’s a long story…” I explained, “I don’t mean be to rude or anything but can it wait? We have something important that needs to be taken care of.” I motioned over to Derpy.

Discord eyed Derpy before reverting his gaze back to me, “Oh how ignorant of me,” he stated as he bowed and took a couple of steps back, “please by all means pretend I’m not here.”

“Kind of hard to do that…” muttered Applejack as she walked over to the pile of letters and pulled out one. Ripping it open she read through it before going wide eye, “Well um…That’s certainly something I wasn’t expecting.” She said as she grabbed another letter, ripped it open and read it. Her expression worsened with each passing letter before she turned to Twilight with worry, “Um…Twilight could I have a word?” she asked as politely as possible.

This wasn’t good as Twilight walked over to Applejack and had a small talk, at the end Twilight gasped before turning to the pile of letter and setting them aflame. The room lit up with mighty rush of flames, the letters were burnt to a crisp as Twilight teleported the remains to who knows where, “Well then…I’m going to say that our plan was a complete failure.”

“What did they say?” wondered Derpy.

Applejack and Twilight looked over to Derpy with worry, “Let’s just say…It wasn’t for the faint of heart.” Said Applejack, “You’d be surprised at how colorful their vocabulary is.” Added Twilight.

“Oh…” said Derpy as she lowered her head, “So none of them were good?”

“Afraid not,” replied Applejack, “its best if you didn’t read them sugarcube.”

“So what now?” questioned Rainbow Dash, “We’re at a dead end now...”

“We’re not giving up,” stated Twilight, “this is just…A minor setback, that’s all.” Her face didn’t look as convincing as her words, it seemed like we were all at our wits end with this. I’ve been going above and beyond since yesterday, despite the rest I’m still not all there emotionally so all I could do was just watch as we all sulked with empty heads. No matter how hard I thought my mind came short, my only support now was Fluttershy’s comfort.

“To hear such hatred is truly sad,” said Zecora, “but have you all wondered as to why there is such anger against this pony?” she pointed over to Derpy, “In my eyes she is too pure to have done wrong.”

“We have pointed it out,” said Twilight, “but we honestly we can’t figure out why Derpy is hated so much. She was loved one day and the next, she’s Ponyville’s most hated!” Twilight groaned as she plopped down in defeated, “I thought of every factor possible but nothing adds up!”

“Have any of those factors included magic?” questioned Discord.

“What do you mean magic?” wondered Rarity.

“Well hear me out,” pleaded Discord, “as much as I love chaos this hatred isn’t natural. I’m sure you all know that so what if somepony put a spell that changed the love for Derpy and turned it into hatred?”

“That can’t be it.” Argued Applejack, “Who would ever do such a thing?”

“I’m not sure but to perform such a spell would require great magic…” Discord stated.

“Where are you getting at?” I wondered.

Discord eyed me and noticed a frightening glare over my face, “Well what if a certain princess did this?”

“Like Celestia?”

“Yes, Celestia possesses such power so she can only fit the page as to why this is happening.”

“As much as I would argue with that statement,” said Twilight, “it’s the only one that makes the most sense.”

“What do you mean?” questioned Discord.

Twilight motioned to me, making me heave tiredly seeing that I wanted to tell him this later on instead of now, “Celestia used me…” I explained, “I’m not really a pony, I’m a human that’s been tested on by Celestia. She brought Fluttershy to my world to see how a human would react and if we were ready to meet ponies. I spent a whole life with Fluttershy and when I learned this, it broke me and now. Celestia has assigned me watchers, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie. They are all to watch over me and if I screw up, cause an uproar or something terrible well…It’s back to my world and I can never see Fluttershy again.” I took in a deep breath and continued, my voice was starting to crack as well as some tears were welling up, “She also said I would have these tests and if I pass well I guess I stay but if I fail I might be taken back…” I gritted my teeth, “It’s all just bullshit if you ask me…” I growled before my head began pounding all of the sudden, “Ugh…I need to sit.” I muttered as I carefully took a seat and rubbed my aching head.

Discord took everything he had heard and thought over it before responding, “If this is so than a new era has begun.” He said quietly, “All I can say to that however is sorry but thank you. Thank you for taking care of my dear Fluttershy. She’s my very best friend and it means a lot that you have watched over her for so long.” His sounded frail for a moment before continuing, “Tomorrow I want you all to gather every pony to Town Square, there I will conduct a removal spell that will rid the hatred of these ponies.”

“Is that even possible?” questioned Fluttershy as she comforted me.

“For me yes,” replied Discord, “Celestia isn’t the only one with great magic remember.”

Rainbow Dash couldn’t help but smile a little, “Who would’ve thought that you were this crafty.” She said approval, “Despite how annoying you can be…You’re alright Discord.”

Discord took the comment lightly and smirked, “Remember that I did oppose Celestia so only I could truly do this.”

“Well we’re thankful for your help,” said Twilight, “it means a lot to all of us that you’re showing how good you really are.”

Discord rolled his eyes, “It only took a few years at most.” He said with a laugh before coming over to me, “As for you though take it easy today, take some time off and go rest. You’ve obviously went through a great deal of stress and we all have our limits until we snap.”

“I can relate…” I replied as I pushed myself and turned to Twilight, “I’m going to take a nap then, mind taking me to your room?” I asked.

Twilight nodded as her horn began to glow, soon I was encased in a magic bubble that brought to her with room with Fluttershy. I looked around and quickly spotted her bed, “I’ve always wondered what a royal bed felt like.” I muttered as I walked over and belly flopped onto the bed onto to land with light thump before sinking into the bed, “Oh my fritters it’s like a cloud!” I cried as my head was buried within the bed.

Fluttershy smiled, seeing that even in the worst of times I can still be a goof in some way, “Well make some room.” She ordered as she climbed in and cuddled next to me, “Oh my…It is like a cloud…” she moaned as she too began to sink into the bed.

“I could die in this bed at peace!” I cried as I held Fluttershy closely, “Haha…Glad things are starting to work out though.” I muttered as I calmed myself and stared at the ceiling.

“Can’t argued with that,” yawned Fluttershy as she went silent for a moment, “um…Cerulean?”

“Yeah?”

“Can I um…” her face began to blush, “lay on you?” she squeed a little at the end.

“S-sure…” I replied as Fluttershy positioned herself over me, all the while my heart began to speed up, “You comfy?” I asked, trying to keep my voice from shaking.

Fluttershy nodded, “What do we do when wake up?” she wondered.

“I um…I don’t know.” I replied as I found myself fixed on her eyes, “Hey Fluttershy?”

“Yes?”

“…I love you.” I gave her a peck on the cheek.

Fluttershy smiled as she gave me a peck on the lips, “Go to sleep.”
