Starting Over
"Oh you stupid box!" He shouted as he hit the floor of the TARDIS. "I said I wanted to go back to our universe! But here we are, ponies and all." He went to the console, "And know we're back in PonyVille, brilliant." He looked on the screen, a bunch of twelves popped up, "Oh that isn't good, not good at all."
He stepped outside the box, "Huh, all seems normal." He smelled the air, "This was when I was travelling with them, Good chance I wont run into to any of them." He looked around, he was in the alleyway that he usually parked in, ponies looked at him as he walked through the market, whispering.
A blonde mare walked up to him, "Doctor?"
"Y-yes?" He asked, "Do I know you?"
"Its me Doctor, Ditzy!" She hugged him, "Only took you ten years to find me!"
"T-ten years?" The Doctor asked, "Wibbly wobbly indeed."
"You said that back then to!" Ditzy said, "Oh its so good to have my imaginary friend back!"
"Right," The Doctor was a bit shaken, "Say what was the date when you saw me?"
"Date?" Ditzy sounded confused, "Doctor you came by and visited me every day for a month!"
"Timey wimey," He sounded shocked.
"Hey where's your fancy watch?" Ditzy asked, "The one that lets you move around?"
"Oh they told me it would be hard to give up." He thought of the device, a vortex manipulator.
"Well know that your back we have so much to talk about!" Ditzy started dragging the Doctor by his collar.
When the pair arrived at Ditzy's house she was exited. "Oh that's where you broke my swing set when I first met you! Remember?"
"Uh, no." He said honestly, "I haven't done that yet."
Ditzy gasped then got really exited, "That means its time! Oh where are we gonna go first?"
"What?" The Doctor was really confused, "What makes you think I'm taking you anywhere?"
"Y-you promised." Ditzy said glumly, "You promised you would take me with you, when you met me as an adult."
"I'm sorry," The Doctor said, "But I'm not really in need of a companion right no-"
"Fish-fingers and custard," Ditzy said.
"W-what?" He swallowed nervously, "What did you just say?"
"Fish-fingers and custard," Ditzy repeated, "you swore on that, you swore that you would take me with you."
"Don't say that!" He shouted at her, "Rule one the Doctor-"
"Lies," Ditzy finished his sentence for him.
"I can't take you!" The Doctor said. "Not because of a promise, but because I am afraid."
"You can live forever, what do you have to be afraid of?" She shouted.
Their argument was interrupted by a knock at the door, "You in there Derpy?"
The Doctor took out his sonic and locked the door, "Hide me!" He demanded.
"Its just my friend Rainbow Dash, whats the big deal." She saw him hop into a bundle of towels. She rolled her eyes as she opened the door.
"Derpy, your going to be late, we have to fix up the town hall, remember?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Of course I do, I'll be there in a bit, I just have to deal with something!" She said cheerily.
"Okay, but make it quick!" Rainbow Dash flew off.
Ditzy uncovered the hidden TimeLord. "Big bad Rainbow Dash is gone Doc-" She saw him crying, "tor. What's wrong with you?"
He sniffled, "She was my companion, she can't ever remember again."
Ditzy saw the sad look on his face, "You loved her." It wasn't even a question.
"She loved me too," He smiled, "She still has two hearts, but one of them will never beat again."
"She's like you?" Ditzy asked.
"She was, she was brilliant too." He touched his chest, feeling for his heartbeat, "But if she ever sees me again, I couldn't live with myself."
Ditzy forgot her annoyance and just gave him a hug,
"Wait a minute," The Doctor said, "They were with me this week, what day is it?"
"Sunday, why?" Ditzy saw him sigh.
"This was the night I regenerated." He laughed, "Funny when you think about it, I could have said hello to her."
Ditzy continued her hug, "The reason you said you chose was that I helped you to keep going, maybe you should keep your promise after all."
"I don't want to see more death." He embraced her hug, "I don't know why, but I think you can tag along."
"R-really?" She asked, "The TARDIS?"
He got a shocked look on his face, "The TARDIS! I landed right where I did before, that's why it exploded within itself."
Ditzy's joy turned into laughter, "That's the Doctor I knew when I was little!"
"Really I'm that thick?" He asked and joined in the laughter.
"So, I get another Vortex Manipulator?" He asked her.
"You said an old friend gave it to you." Ditzy recalled. "Something about a 'last hurrah'!"
He smiled, "I must get back to my universe then!" He said happily, "Just a quick bit of fast time travel to wrap up my adventures, then!"
Ditzy coughed, "Y-yeah!" She stopped laughing, "I have to go to work."
"I need to check on the TARDIS!" He ran out behind her.
The TARDIS
He waited for his newly regenerated self to arrive at Sugar-Cube corner before venturing inside, It was done self repairing at that point so he was able to work in peace. He started to record the message.
"Doctor, If your wondering why I'm sending my self this message, its because the worse possible thing has happened." He paused for dramatic effect, "Your still not ginger! Get out of the TARDIS right now because its going to explode. Also, be nice to Rainbow Dash." He set the message into a specific release date and left.
He saw Ditzy strike Rainbow Dash with lightning, "Maybe she is a good companion." He walked over to see a great crowd celebrating AppleJack's leaving for somewhere. "I'm going to have to fix the timeline so she actually gets there."
He thought about all the work and decided now was better than never, he turned the the box and entered, then he turned to the TARDIS within itself and entered that.
