My past still haunts me to this day. That memory is burned into my brain for as long as i live. My train of thought went off course when i heard a knock on my door. I got up and walked away from the window to answer the door. Derpy Hooves, the messenger pegasus, was handing me my mail.
"Hi Frost Bite! I have your mail right here." Derpy proceeded to hand me my mail while I had responded with,
"Thank you very much, Derpy." I was shuffling through the mail to see that they were from relatives and friends. A sad frown came across my face. Derpy, after putting away the rest of the mail, looked up and saw my face. She said with a voice like silk,
"Hey, what's wrong Frost?"
"I just miss her a lot. It hurts from how much I miss her." I said.
"Who do you miss?" She asked.
"Pinkie. She was one of my only friends that I had talked to before i met you. I left without saying anything and since then I've been hesitant to go back to Ponyville. I'm not sure if she will forgive me. I told her.
"Oh, I'm sure she will forgive you. She's Pinkie Pie, she always forgives everypony."
"Thank you Derpy, I have a little bit more confidence now in returning."
"You're about to go back?"
"Yeah, tell Pinkie that I will be coming to Ponyville around like 3:00 PM."
"Sure thing Frost Bite, I'll tell her when i pass her house," she answered.
"Thanks, see ya 'round!!" i shouted as the blonde-maned pegasus flew away.
I went back inside and relaxed as clock said 10:30 AM, "Man, she came early today."
My home is standard for two ponies, but since nopony likes the cold as much as i do, at least from what i think, i'm the only one in the house. I sat down and started to think of how Pinkie Pie would react to me returning to Ponyville. Maybe she would throw a party like she always does, ain't no party like a Pinkie Pie party as i always say. Maybe she would tackle me with the biggest grin after not seeing me for a couple years. I have known Pinkie Pie since the first day that i went there for a few months after that one, treacherous, day occurred.
A few years ago...
Pinkie Pie, like most ponies know, is the one that talks to strangers first, so when i had arrived she had presented herself first before i spoke.
"Hiya stranger, I'm Pinkie Pie and welcome to Ponyville!!"
"Uh, hi Pinkie. Please I'm not in the mood for this right now."
I wasn't very friendly at the time because I was depressed.
"Is there any place that I can stay for a while? I'm an orphan, I used to have a family but something *sniffles* unfortunate happened."
"Really? What happened??" Pinkie asked.
I put my face in my hooves and broke down right in front of her, I felt weak that I did but I just couldn't hold it back. It hurt too much to remember and it hurt even more to explain to anypony. She immediately hugged me and said with a soothing voice,
"It's okay, its okay."
Pinkie Pie did everything in her power just to make me happy, and im glad that she did. I was happy to have met her! She enlightened me with her bright attitude and very delicious cupcakes, she showed me her best friends, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, and Fluttershy. She introduced me to them so quickly before I could even say anything, and she didn't even know my name yet. I had told her and only her what had happened to me as a young pegasus and why i was so depressed, and i never gained the courage to tell anypony else.
"I should probably tell you my name, might as well start making some new friends if i'm gonna live here now, my name is Frost Bite, sorry i didn't tell you my name earlier, i was too depressed from my loss...."
"It's alright, I knew how depressed you were by the look in your eyes, if you don't want to tell me what happened, I understand." Pinkie cooed.
As a good friend, she had always checked up on me and consoled me when i was down.
"I'm sorry Pinkie." I whispered, crying while running away.
I felt so terrible for leaving since I kept having nightmares of that one day constantly becoming worse and worse, and the love and affection that Pinkie had shown me reminded me too much of- of them... I've always thought of moving back into Ponyville at some point. Way earlier before I ran away, I had thought about Pinkie's friends and told her,
"Your friends seem nice, I'm just sad that I didn't speak when I met them. Oh well, I'm certain I'll meet them again soon."
"Oh yeah! They are the best I've got! They always are happy to lend a helping hoof." She responded.
Back at Frost Bite's home.
I tried staying away from the Crystal Mountains, which is where I live now and is where the incident happened, but I absolutely love the cold so it's hard to stay away. The only problem is that it brings back painful memories of when I lost the two things closest to me: my parents. I didn't know i had fallen asleep, my dream, unfortunately, was of that terrible event. My dream, or i should say nightmare, was worse than the actual event itself, it was exactly as I remember, except instead of me unexpectedly walking in, I knew it was going to happen yet I could not stop myself from opening the front door...
"AHH!! FUCK!!" I screamed while bolting upright.
The explosion was twice as loud and had woke me with a start, and i was sweating. I had tears in my eyes and i was on the verge of breaking down. Putting my face in my hooves, the tears started to fall for 10 minutes. I thought to myself, Damn, you really don't want to leave me alone don't you. Why do you have to torture me like this, I know what happened and I'm ashamed that i couldn't prevent it. I recollected myself before looking at the clock. it said 2:00,
"Shit, I gotta get going!!" i said while preparing to leave.
Since the cold didn't really affect me, i didn't wear a jacket and since i have sub-zero temperature powers, unusual for a pegasus, i just started to depart from my home. Well Ponyville, here I come!
As I left the house, I enjoyed being able to see my breath in the winter atmosphere of the Crystal Mountains. I looked over the edge of where I was and I could clearly see the lot of Equestria. I could see Canterlot, Ponyville, The Everfree Forest, Appleloosa, Manehattan, and Fillydelphia just to name a few. I prepared to fly towards Ponyville when in the distance I saw Fluttershy get Rainbow Dash from Cloudsdale. I think that's their names, I haven't really met them yet...
"Huh, looks like Pinkie Pie must have told the others. Well, I'd better prepare for a warming welcome." i chuckled at the thought.
I wonder when Pinkie was told, was it just recently? or a while ago? With that thought inside my head, I headed out for Ponyville.
At Ponyville, a few hours before Frost Bite's arrival
The messenger Pegasus was doing her normal run through Ponyville delivering mail to each house, and she passed by Sugarcube Corner and stopped when a sudden thought came to her head,
"I was told to do something here at Sugarcube Corner wasn't I? Wait, that's right, I was supposed to tell Pinkie that Frost Bite is coming here around 3!!"
Having that said, she ran inside and asked to see Pinkie. Before Pinkie went to the door, her body started shaking up and down violently, her Pinkie Sense was telling her that something unexpected was about to happen. Pinkie came out and saw Derpy at the doorstep.
"Hiya Derpy, you wanted to see me?
"Yes, I've come here to tell you that Frost Bite will be coming here around 3," Derpy excitedly said,
"F-Frost Bite? You mean-you mean the one that came down here 6 years ago!?!? Pinkie Pie quizzically asked with a yell.
Derpy cringed back from the sudden yell, "Yeah, i delivered his mail to him earlier today and he told me to tell you that. Are you happy, or mad?
"Silly filly, no i'm not mad, i'm extremely happy i get to see my friend again whom i haven't heard from in a long time!!! Pinkie Pie nearly exploded in happiness. That must be the doozy my Pinkie Sense was telling me about!!!! "Thanks for telling me Derpy!!" I gotta tell the others!! And so she went to Twilight's library, Fluttershy's cottage, and Sweet Apple Acres to tell Applejack.
"Frost Bite?" Twilight questioned Pinkie,
"Yes Frost Bite, you don't remember him?" Pinkie asked Twilight.
"Not very well, if I can remember, he never spoke a word to anypony besides you."
"I remember vaguely about him saying that he didn't speak to anyone cause he still depressed of his "loss", he never told me what he lost that made him so saddy-waddy"
Twilight pondered before responding, "We'll probably find out soon if he's changed"
"Yeah, i definitely think he's changed, but just beware, cause he might still be just a teensy tiny bit fragile," Pinkie Pie told Twilight.
"Oh i'm sure he's gained the courage to talk to us."
"Gather everyone else please Twilight and bring them to Sugarcube Corner, I've got something to quickly tell a certain somepony," Pinkie told Twilight.
Before Pinkie told the others about Frost Bite's arrival, she had also told Derpy that if she saw Frost Bite on her way back that he needs to go to Sugarcube Corner.
A few minutes afterwards, at Sugarcube Corner
All of Pinkie's friends had the same reaction, but a different question,
"Frost Bite? You mean that one silent Pegasus with the red mark below his right eye?" Rainbow asked.
"Frost Bite dear? You mean that Pegasus that stayed with you for a year before unexpectedly and silently leaving?" Rarity asked.
"Frost Bite? Oh, i can slightly remember him, he was here for a year before he left right?" Fluttershy asked.
"Frost Bite? Ya mean the one who came down here a few years ago but never said a word to any of us but you?" Applejack seemed concerned.
"Yes, there is only one Frost Bite and that is him... He is returning to Ponyville, hopefully for good. If it's anything he told me, it's how much he absolutely loves the cold, so i think we should give him a nice place if he's here for good, but we have to find out if he will stay." Pinkie Pie told everypony.
"I don't really like him because he made it seem like he was shunning us and only speaking to you," Rarity said.
"it's because he was Rarity, he did th-."
Rarity abruptly interrupted Pinkie's sentence with a yell. "WHAT?!? WHY IN THE WORLD OF EQUESTRIA WOULD HE DO THAT?!?!?" Pinkie stumbled back and fell prone on her back from Rarity's scolding. Twilight interjected,
"Rarity please, let Pinkie explain." Pinkie looked over to Twilight as she helped her up,
"Thanks Twilight. Rarity, the only reason that he did that was because i had spoke up to him first and i comforted him when he broke down in front of me, he said that he never talked to anypony else but me because of a certain "loss" in his childhood."
"Oh..." Rarity scratched the back of her head and gave a weak smile and chuckle, "Sorry Pinkie, i should've let you continue"
"Nah, it's alright Rarity, i forgive you"
"Ah think we should give him a warm Ponyville welcome, don't ya think?" Applejack suggested.
All six of them simultaneously yelled "YEAH!!" and giggled a little before Pinkie pulled out her party cannon and filled the room with party decorations in a flash.
"I love my party cannon, it helps with setting up when im behind. Okay girls, its 2:30 now, he should be here in thirty minutes"
About 1-2 miles away from Ponyville
"Imma be there right on time, perfect!!" I said to myself.
As i kept flying there, while staring at Canterlot, i heard Derpy's voice yelling in my direction,
"Hey Frost Bite!!!!!" I didn't look til the last second and ended up running into her, putting me on top in a strange position.
Realizing what had just happened, i hopped off of Derpy scratching the back of my head saying,
"Sorry 'bout that Derpy, i was kinda mesmerized by Canterlot's royalty."
While helping her up off the ground, she said, "Oh no, it's alright, I didn't warn you about how close you were." We laughed for a few seconds, before she had told me, "Pinkie Pie told me to tell you that you need to go to Sugarcube Corner when you arrive."
"Okay, thanks Derpy!" I shouted as she went to her next post.
1/4 mile away from Ponyville
I can see Ponyville, it's really close!!!! Better pick up the pace. I flew just a bit faster than normal, i wasn't built for racing speeds, however i was pretty fast with everything i do. When i reached the entrance of Ponyville, i landed softly and trotted my way to Sugarcube Corner. Nopony gave me weird looks when i walked past, guess they must have remembered my presence here years ago.
I opened the door into Sugarcube Corner and was greeted with six voices saying "SURPRISE!!!!!" and a face-full of confetti. I was startled by them just suddenly doing that,
"Hey everypony, how's it going?" I was given strange looks, probably cause of my voice being so deep, even Pinkie Pie stared at me, dumbfounded.
"Jeez, Frostie, your voice sure has gotten deeper!" Pinkie shouted in amazement.
I blushed at that name, I knew that Pinkie was the only pony that ever called me that name. "Heh, yeah it has. I see you brought your friends too. Do you mind re-introducing me to them? I can actually talk to them this time," I said to Pinkie.
"Well, lets see if you can remember their names."
"Alright, I'll try my best, we are gonna see if I still remember what you told me all those years ago." I nudged Pinkie playfully.
Staring and starting from Rarity, i went from left to right calling each of their names out.
"You must be the generous Rarity, if i'm not mistaken," I said.
"The one and only," she responded.
"Honest Applejack?" I asked.
"You bet yer' britches," she happily responded.
I joked and said, "I don't wear pants," and got a laugh out of everypony.
"The super kind Fluttershy, who tamed a Manticore, a ferocious and deadly beast." i stated.
Softly, Fluttershy said "Uh-huh"
I had said to her with a smirk, "You don't have to be so shy around me, I don't bite, so long as you're on my good side.
"That's how she normally is, but once she gets to know you, she will start to talk more." said a random voice from behind me.
I turned around with "I'm certain i would've figured that out at some point, Rainbow Dash. From what I've heard, one word can simply describe you. Awesome."
"Yeah it's true, I am awesome," Rainbow boasted.
"I don't believe you, care to prove it?" I challenged her with that remark.
"Oh, you're on!! Not even a split second after saying that, she took to the skies. Rainbow dash flew through a cloud pulling down raindrops in her wake and then stopped right in front of me and let the water hit her as a rainbow had formed over her back."That enough proof for you?"
i chuckled and blew a soft breeze at the holographic rainbow, it froze in an instant and fell on Rainbow's back before hitting the ground and breaking.
"How 'bout that, huh?" everypony stared at me weird, and, once again, so did Pinkie Pie.
"What? Did i forget to say that i can freeze things and make snowballs from water?" All of their jaws dropped to the floor.
"Heh whoops, yeah, i forgot to say a lot. But before i do that, the magical Twilight Sparkle and the laughable Pinkie Pie. Forgot to say those two names."
"So, you had forgotten to say some things?"
"Oh right right, alright everypony take a seat." All had sat down.
i commenced speaking,
"Yeah, so, you all sorta know me. The one who knows me the most here is Pinkie since i lived with her for a while before running away, ill get to that reason and the cause of it shortly. I don't know what Pinkie has told you, but i'm certain she told you what I've told her, about how i was too depressed at my loss to talk to the rest of you. Believe it or not, i actually had gotten my cutie mark after i had left Ponyville that one day. If i hadn't saved Derpy from that frozen lake, she would've died. i was walking back to the Crystal Mountains in tears 'cause of the nightmares that i kept having and the fact that i didn't have the courage to tell anypony that i was leaving. I was about halfway back to the Crystal Mountains when i saw and heard a foal walking on thin ice, literally. i heard the ice creaking and i knew nothing good would come of it. Right before i could say anything, the ice cracked and she fell straight in. I started panicking and tried thinking of ways to help her, her screams of terror were piercing right through me-."
"The reason Derpy is still alive is because you saved her?" Fluttershy questioned me.
"Yes, Derpy is still alive because of me, i took a very desperate measure to get her. i saw her start to sink, i screamed "NOOOO!!!" and dove in after her. To my surprise, the water, was not freezing cold, in fact it didn't affect me at all and i could open my eyes underwater and see clearly, i rescued her from the water and pulled her offshore to a warmer place. i put her on the ground and made sure she was still breathing, so i put my ear to her chest and didn't hear anything at all. Not a single sound. My heart sank, and i screamed "NO! I WILL NOT LOSE YOU!" and started doing chest compressions to get the water out of her lungs for 10-30 minutes. I had no way of keeping track of time. I could hardly see since my eyes were welling up with tears, but I heard her cough, and i felt her chest suddenly kick. She turned over and coughed all the water out before gasping for air with a shaky breath. She turned around and looked at me for a second before immediately hugging me and whispering into my ear,"
"Thank you for saving my life."
"She told me that her name was Derpy Hooves, and she's been my friend ever since, I also think that is the main reason why she delivers me mail directly to me and not to my mail box, heh. With my sudden discovery of how the cold does not affect me whatsoever, my cutie mark showed up as three snowflakes of different sizes, and I, somehow, was given the powers of sub-zero temperatures. Which is pretty cool if you ask me. I'm part of the winter weather team and i deal with all of the blizzards and cold fronts since nopony else can deal with the extreme cold, and with the fact that i was given those powers, it makes it easy to push away all of the blizzards and cold fronts away from Equestria."
"That is amazing!" Twilight shouted.
"Alright, now i know you guys are anxious to hear about why I was super depressed the first time i was here, but throat is kinda dry right now... I can show another trick too if you bring me a warm drink that is supposed to be cold" Pinkie Pie was snapped out of her trance from my last word and she ran to the kitchen to get me some Cider, and like I said, it was warm. i grabbed the mug and made a crackling sound from it, no one knew what happened, but they saw a trail of ice steam travel from my chest to the mug instantly freezing my drink. I held it upside-down to prove that it was frozen, and then i took my hoof off of it and it liquified itself again.
"Eh? What do you guys think?"
"Bedazzling!" Rarity shouted.
"I can't think of a word better than awesome, I'm just speechless!" Rainbow Dash screamed.
"Super-duper-amaze-a-riffic!" Pinkie Pie shouted with glee.
"That's stupendous!" Stated Twilight.
"Well, now ah've seen everythin'" Applejack Chuckled.
"Frost Bite, that was unbelievable!" Shouted Fluttershy.
I laughed,"Alright, alright, I think i've had enough praise for one day heh," and then i got really serious,
"Okay everypony, get settled in, and prepare for anything.. i'm not sure what will come of my actions or emotions when i tell this. i could already feel the tears starting to build up. I took a deep breath, and began the story,
Okay, i was about 10 when this happened, so six years ago the two things that i loved in the world the most were taken away from me: my parents, and i almost joined them... As a young pegasus, I always loved the cold and snow and I still do now, obviously. My original name was Waterfall, but since my parents realized how much i loved the cold air and snow, they decided to rename me Frost Bite. i really liked it cause it totally fits me you know? Haha! Anyway, i was enjoying a normal day outside in the snow making snow ponies and snow angels... and then that moment came. I was called inside cause it was getting dark outside, and they had closed the door. So I walked up to the door, opened it and all of a sudden, BOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!"
"AAAAH!!" Fluttershy screamed at the sudden yell I made.
"Did i startle you? I'm sorry. Ahem, so out of nowhere this deafening, fiery, blinding explosion came out of my house and threw me out of the doorway and knocking me completely unconscious before i even hit the ground. I don't know how much time passed before I gained consciousness. I was hurting everywhere, I could hardly open my right eye, and I had burn marks everywhere on me when i woke up, I saw the house on fire and started screaming in pain and crying "MOM!!! DAD!!! NOOO!!!!" The paramedics showed up and saw that i was burnt badly and took me to the hospital in Ponyville. I didn't keep still cause i wanted to see my parents, but little did i know, they were dead when the house exploded and they never found out what caused it. They put me under a sleep medicine and treated my wounds. As you can see they have fully healed, however there is one that hasn't healed as fast."
"Wh-why couldn't you open your right eye?" Fluttershy asked with a quivering voice.
"I'm about to show you," I told them.
I moved my hair from my right eye and everypony gasped when they saw that I had a huge slice mark going from my forehead to my right cheek. It looked as if it was a fresh wound even though it was just a scar, a scar that will stay with me for a long time. I saw Fluttershy put her hoof over her mouth and her eyes get really watery, she looked like she was on the verge of breaking down.
"Damn Frost! What happened?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"The doctor said that when the explosion had knocked me back and unconscious, a piece of the door came flying out and hit me at just the right time to not kill me, i was *this* close to dying. They only knew it because they saw a large piece of wood where my body had left its landing imprint. The sharp end had blood on it. I was very lucky that my head was tilted back and that door piece just cut from my cheek upwards. I couldn't open my right eye at all, and it was bleeding a lot." Fluttershy couldn't take it anymore and she just broke down, i went over and hugged her saying,
"It's okay Flutter-"
i choked on my last word and broke down too from all of the painful memories. I heard words of condolence from everypony, and it sounded like they were all choked up too. i took a few seconds to look around and all of them had tears in their eyes.
I heard a soft voice saying, "Frost, how come when you came to Ponyville, you only talked to Pinkie and then left without telling anypony?"
"Could you give me a *hic* minute?"
"Sure." Rarity said.
i took a few minutes to recollect myself and tried to talk steadily,
"I had only talked to Pinkie because she was the only one that came to me the day that i showed up, and even though i told her that i was not in the mood to talk to anyone and broke down in front of her, she stayed with me and held me til i stopped. She took me into her place with no objections or anything, so i only had the courage to talk to her. Every night that i was there, I kept having nightmares about my parents constantly dying in that explosion and i actually had one earlier today before i came here and it hit me the worst, but didn't have lasting effects on me. When i had the nightmares i woke with tears in my eyes and it affected me more worse and worse every day. The love and affection that Pinkie Pie had shown me while i was with her reminded me too much of my parents, so i left. i never thought that i would return again until Derpy had come to my house and delivered my mail. The nightmare i had earlier today was twice as bad as the unfortunate event itself because the explosion was twice as big, completely destroying the house and crushing me with debris. I had woken with a start and screamed "AHHHH FUCK!!" Pardon my language. I had tears in my eyes just ready to come out, and i was sweating profusely, then i just buried my face in my hooves and cried for 10 minutes before heading over."
Everypony was staring at me with looks of sympathy and sadness. i reacted with,
"Please, don't look at me like that you're gonna mak-" i choked on the last word again and collapsed on the floor in tears, but this time everypony else was also crying.
"i can't hold back any longer. Somepony needs to fucking help me, this shit has followed me all of my life, taunting me, haunting me, and i can't leave it behind no matter how hard i try. I've even thought of committing suicide!" Everypony gasped and cried even more.
I heard pleads and cries among the lines of, "Please don't commit suicide. Please. Don't."
"But I would never forgive myself if I never saw you guys and said my final goodbyes. That's why I came here, to say goodbye. But I just can't do it. I can't leave you all like that, so i've decided to stay in Ponyville for the rest of my life."
With that being said, i was suddenly surrounded by everypony and then smashed in a giant group-hug. Pinkie Pie took it the hardest.
"Frostie, why? Why would you think of such a thought?"
"I just wanted to leave it all behind, but when I came here and saw how happy y'all were to see me, I just couldn't bring myself to do it." We broke off from our massive group hug as we all tried to recollect ourselves for 10 minutes. Mostly everypony had stopped crying.
"Alright, have we all stopped crying?" I looked around and nopony had tears.
I turned to Pinkie Pie, "I'm sorry for even thinking about that."
"It's okay, I'm happy you changed your thoughts." Pinkie nudged my side as i was wiping another tear from my eye and I fell over from not expecting it. We all busted into a loud fit of laughter.
I finally got the story off my chest, and I was happy that I did. Pinkie Pie had gladly accepted me into her home for the night before I started searching for a home in Ponyville. Everypony had helped me find a home that was not too far from Ponyville, in fact, it was right on the outskirts of it. The house was a moderate sized house for two roommates and it looked cozy, however one thing was missing. The cold air. How did I make the room cold like the way i love it you ask? I just touched the AC unit, freezeing it and having it blow the frozen atmosphere all over the room. When I had visitors I would just touch it again and the ice would vanish, not leaving a trace of water and open a window to let fresh air in. The pay wasn't too bad and since I had a job on the winter team, I could easily manage the bills. I didn't have a roommate, but i was determined to find one someday. As I walked out the front door of my new house, everypony was staring at me because I had ice steam coming off my body since I could maintain my cool, literally, but my body wasn't cold to the touch. It was just that winter kinda lived inside me, you could say and it had an effect when I flew fast, I would leave a trail of snow kind of like the way Rainbow Dash leaves a rainbow trail. My breath can always be seen even during a hot day, not to mention that I can throw snowballs that freeze the target on impact and create freeze bombs, only for drastic measures though. I was prepared for any conflict the Equestria could throw at me. As I walked through Ponyville getting used to the town, I was suddenly tackled by six ponies all simultaneously saying, "Hi Frost Bite!"
"Hey everypony, I think I made the right choice moving here, and the fact that I have these powers, I can keep my room cold like the way I like it."
"Really? That's cool!!" Rainbow Dash shouted.
"Yeah come on, i'll show you," I said before leading them to my home.
When we were at my doorstep I made sure the AC unit was normal and It was, I lead them in telling them "Prepare for the cold and check this out!" I exclaimed. After saying that, I touched the AC unit and immediately froze it, everypony glared at the suddenly frozen AC unit, then I touched it again and got rid of the ice and they were all speechless from the trick, even though they saw it before.
"Isn't that just fantastic?"
"Landsakes, that's a nice trick ya got there Frost." Applejack stated.
Nodding my head, I said, gazing at everypony and stopping at Pinkie,
"Yeah, I think i'm going to love it here. But I can't thank anypony more than Pinkie Pie for being there for me and being the reason that I returned. I'm glad that y'all had come along when you did cause I needed to make up for last time."
"And we are glad we did too since we didn't really know you at the time." Fluttershy squeed.
It was at that moment when I realized that the family I could have ever asked for was right here in front of me. With that thought, I ran over and hugged all of them saying,
"I love you guys, just want y'all to know that. Y'all are like another family to me. You're more than I ever could have asked for!!" I shouted starting to choke up with tears of joy.
"We love you too Frost Bite," Twilight said while wiping a tear from her eye before continuing, "And if you ever have physical problems,"
"Boredom problems," Rainbow Dash added,
"Clothing problems," Rarity included,
"Animal problems," Fluttershy said,
"Party planning problems," Pinkie Pie added,
"Or if yer just lookin to get some tough work," Applejack said,
All simultaneously stated, "You can count on us."
"Thanks, y'all are the best!" I shouted before hugging them.
"Wait, where is Derpy?" I asked.
"I think she's on her last post heading towards Canterlot." Pinkie stated. Just as she said that, Derpy had flown past us.
I ran after her screaming,
"DERPY!!!"
She turned around slowly,
"Wha-" Her word was cut short as I tackle-hugged her saying,
"Thank you Derpy, for helping me get my cutie mark and helping me find a new home."
She returned the hug just as tight saying,
"No Frost Bite. Thank you for risking your life to save mine from that frozen lake 5 years ago."
Later on, night had fallen and Luna had brought out her beautiful moon and stars, and with me being nocturnal, I decided to spend some time outside during the night to see what other things I could do with my powers. I had figured out how to make ice balls and make a mega snowball that entraps the target in the snow. I also increased my skill in making those cryogenic freeze bombs, making the blast radius larger, adding shrapnel, and making them in shorter time from nothing but water. I headed back to my house satisfied and happy, I laid down in my snow/cloud bed thinking, Today and yesterday were just such great days, I wonder what lies ahead for me now? With that thought in my head, I slowly drifted off to sleep with a huge smile on my face.
