> Life Goes On > by Moviestar > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I do not own My Little Pony or the some the characters such as the Mane 6 and Luna, Cadence, Or Celestia. However, all of the OCs I do own, and may not be used in any other fanfics without my permission. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Moviestar was a mare. She had sky blue fur that was once beautiful and attracted stallions. She had a sun yellow mane and tail that was slightly curly and brushed nicely. And she had eyes like a storm that would spot everything. But that was ages ago, and she was not the beauty she was then. It was not age that made her fur fade and her mane stringy. It was war that did that. War, the thing that she had been surrounded by since the death of Celestia 3 years ago. War. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lovelight was a young unicorn. Her mane was pink and yellow, and it was wavy, curly almost. But not curly. Not yet. She had a pink coat, that was nice. She was pretty, and she still young. But the war had brought her down, and her heart wrapped with ribbons on her flank didn't fill her with love and joy like always. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pink Jam sighed. Her ponytail was scraggly and loose, her pink, purple, and red mane all unbrushed. Her pink coat was dirty, and wrapped in a cloak, a dirty brown cloak that covered her cutie mark, which was the silhoette of a pony dancing. She sighed, and her orange eyes fluttered, and she fell asleep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Starry Flight had a blue coat that was colored like the sky, and her pink mane was up in a ponytail. Her wings flapped up and down as she flew around her room at the old abandoned motel. She removed her coat to reveal a cutiemark of lipstick. She sighed and collapsed on her bed,. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dawn Sky was a unicorn. A unicorn with short indigo mane that was blue at the tip. A unicorn with a dark blue coat and a yellow swirl for her cutie mark. Yellow was for friendship. Swirl was for hope and art. Hope, it meant hope. What does that mean, hope? There was no hope now in the war, no hope for it to end, just for it to continue for years to come. Years and years of the blood and death. What was hope? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Toxic Poison tried to brush his out-of-control black hair, which was diffucult, considering that his glasses kept falling off, and he could not get them to stay. He finally quit brushing, as it was proving to be useless. He took out a pail of water and dumped on his hair, which would hopefully get it to stay, but succeded in drenching his blue coat and his baseball cutiemark. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Six ponies. All at the same abanded motel, staying for shelter in the terrible storm. And all hoping for a better life in the war that was raging all around. Friendship is needed at a time like this. Only friendship can stop this war. Because friendship is magic. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Moviestar woke up. She stretched, the sighed as she climbed out of the rickety, old bed. She picked up the dirty cloak that was once blue, but now resembled brown. It was an old thing, and if you looked closely, you could barely make out the initials;MSS, standing for Moviestar Star. The blue pegasus quickly put on the coat, and stuck her wings in the holes she had cut when it was newer. She sighed, and as she opened the window and flew off, you could get a glimpse of her cutie mark, three stars, a big one, a small one, and a really small one. She soon arrived at the little cafe across the street, Charlie's Coffee Cafe. She trotted inside, and ordered herself a blueberry scone and a latte. The little cafe was run down, and the flowery blue wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The single room was really dim, as the only source of light was a single light bulb hanging from the ceiling. There were about five other ponies there, not counting the waiter, or herself. A blue earth pony was sitting in a chair in the corner, sipping a drink. He had a really messy black mane, and his glasses looked like they were about to fall of his nose. Two unicorns were sitting at the big table, one on either end. One was pink, and one was blue with an indigo mane. The pink one was biting an apple, and she looked tired. Another blue pegasus was sitting at the table next to her. She had a pink mane, and a cutiemark of lipstick. A pink earth pony with a multicolored mane was sitting at a table near to the other earth pony. Her mane was wrapped in a ponytail, a ponytail that was really scraggly. The waiter served her her latte, telling her her scone would be ready soon. She sipped it quietly, studying the other ponies in the cafe. She decided to make small talk with the blue pegasus next to her. "Hello..." she started, not really sure what to say. The other mare didn't notice her. "My name is Movistar, what's yours?" She bit her lip. "Starry Flight," the other pegasus muttered. "Wha are you here for? There's not much in this place. I'm dropping by as a rest stop on the way to family. I"m staying there." She pointed across the street to the collapsing motel. "I"m staying there too! I'm also dropping by, I'm going to my new job in Manehatten, but the storm has backed me up from getting there." she replied. "Do you know the others?" She pointed to the other ponies in the room. "Nope," said Starry," But I do believe they are staying at the motel across the way as well." In response, the blue earth pony raised his head and said " Well. as-a-matter-of-fact, I am staying there! I'm Toxic Poison." The two unicorns raised their heads, and the pink one with the wavy mane said," I'm Lovelight, and this is Dawn Sky," she said, gesturing to the indigo maned unicorn. "We're here for no reason, really, just heading to Canterlot for vacation." The other unicorn nodded. The earth pony with the ponytail said, "I'm traveling to Ponyville for a performance in dance," she said, gesturing at her cutie mark. " I'm Pink Jam, by the way." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After a while, the six were talking like old friends, discussing jobs, and telling jokes, and enjoying pastries. Toxic Poison, was about to say something in response to Lovelight's joke, but suddenly an explosion interuppted him. BOOOOM, KABOOM, SHA-BOOM was all they could hear, then suddenly, silence. Just silence. The six ponies walked outside, only to suddenly be surrounded by darkness, and to be falling, falling, falling in darkness. > Chapter 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tumbling in dark space gets boring after 30 seconds. Moviestar thought they had probably been tumbling for 30 minutes. Starry had stopped screaming after the first minute or two. The thing is, when you don't land at the bottom of the pit in the first ten seconds, it gets boring. Moviestar flipped over in midair, not really caring if they landed right then when she flipped. She flipped again. Earlier, she had considered flying out. But she had quickly vetoed the idea. You didn't need to be a genius to figure out that if she opened her wings, at the speed they were falling, her wings would be ripped to shreds. Apparently, Starry had thought of the same thing, because she hadn't tried. Or she was just too scared to think straight. Suddenly, Moviestar saw a white light, and as they continued to tumble down, the circle of light grew larger. They were headed straight toward it! Moviestar began to panic. When they landed on the bottom, they would be nothing but grease spots in the center of the Earth. Moviestar tried to open her wings, but it was as if they were glued to her sides. She couldn't open them! A look at the expression of pure terror on Starry's face told her that the other Pegasus had the same problem. And Moviestar suspected neither Lovelight or Dawn Sky could use magic to get them out of this. And they continued toward the light. As soon as the blue Pegasus began to give up hope, a dark blue aura surrounded her and her five other friends. They stopped in midair, and the aura slowly began to tug them down to the bottom of the pit. A unicorn was helping them! It wasn't Lovelight or Dawn Sky. The expressions on their faces led her to believe that the two unicorns had no idea what was going on. Another look told her that neither of the earth ponies knew either. The aura continued to pull them down. As they reached the ground, Moviestar saw that a dark blue alicorn was the cause of the magic. Her horn was glowing as the blue magic finally disappeared and the six ponies tumbled the two remaining feet to the ground. The blue eyes of the alicorn told her it had been some effort to levitate them. Toxic was the first to speak. As he stood up, he glanced at the alicorn and gasped "Princess Luna!" The other five gasped in surprise as they realized that that was indeed, Princess Luna. They all bowed down before her, in awe. But one continued to stand. Pink Jam glared angrily at the princess. When Luna saw this, she bowed her head. " You have every right to be angry at me. I have been gone for the past years, and many ponies believe I am a coward to desert Equestria after my sister's death. I am a coward." She sighed and looked up. "I was the one who has brought you all here. As many of you are probably upset and are about to demand explanations," She added as Dawn Sky opened her mouth, only to shut it with embarrassment." I will tell you why you are here. Discord is on the loose. He is upset, and is now causing chaos. I fear going near him, as the coward I am. I need you to go and stop him" "Why us?" questioned Lovelight. Luna nodded and said "Once Discord is stopped, he will tell you. He is not the only thing to be stopped." "How are we going to get out of here?" Starry Flight asked. Moviestar had been wondering the same thing. "Don't we need to be near Discord to defeat him, right?" She looked questioningly at the night princess. Luna only nodded. "I will teleport you out of here as soon as you here this." The six ponies leaned toward the dark blue alicorn as she opened her mouth to tell them the next thing. "You will probably not need them, because Discord will listen to good reason, but the Elements of Harmony are located in the Everfree forest, connected to the tree of Harmony. Whether or not they need to be used on Discord, you will need to retrieve them anyway. A map to the Tree of Harmony is located in the Golden Oaks Library." "Why will we need the Elements of Harmony?" the ponies asked. But Luna only told them that Discord will tell them. Moviestar wasn't sure, though. "Are you ready to go?" all the ponies nodded, and Luna's horn began to glow a dark blue, and they found themselves once more surrounded by the aura. Moviestar barely had time to think before she was tumbling heads over hooves in darkness. Then she appeared in Ponyville. Houses were upside down, and the ground was patterned with pink and purple squares. A couple of oxen in tutus danced past her as flying pigs snorted beside her. As it began to rain chocolate milk from the strange pink clouds overhead, a voice called out, "Oh boy, it looks as if Luna sent me some company!"
