This story is based off of a legit dream I had in the summer 2012! How did I end up in DunBroch? What is Twilight and friends doing here? How do we get home? Find out in this MLP and Disney crossover as I too join the cast of Disney and Ponies!
I wake up to find myself in a castle chamber with Rarity sewing a dress for a Princess! I don't ever remember falling asleep in here so I figure it's a dream, might as well enjoy it! The next thing I know, I see Merida and her mom then Twilight who says that she found my house here? Let's see what else happens! Basically we're all stuck in the Disney Universe and trying to find a way back home! Who knows, maybe this isn't a dream after all!
The following is based off of a legit dream that I, Stuffwell had in the summer of 2012!
Chapter 1
It all started when I woke up. We all know how that works, right? When waking up, you find yourself in your bed, sleeping bag, cot, or occasionally the couch. But when I say that I "woke up" I mean that I woke up in a different world! I mean I know when I went to bed, I was sleeping in my bed at home but this was different! See, I don't drink, smoke or do any Tobacco of any sort so it's not like one of those "I got so high that I don't remember last night" sort of situations. This was just one of those things where you know for sure you didn't fall asleep in a strange new place, unless you had been sleep waking like 20,000 miles or something. Anyway, I woke up in this.....old chamber, like something you'd see in a castle! In fact it was a castle! Of course I found that out, later on but, the point is, I woke up in a place that I didn't even expect! And get this, a white talking unicorn with gorgeous purple hair had woke me up! I think she said:
"Darling, wake up! I am in dire need of your assistance and the Princess is in need of a dress!". I stirred, slowly opened my eyes and saw that I was looking up at Rarity, the Element of Generosity, herself! I got up, very much confused about the situation.
"R-Rarity?" I asked, trying to make heads and tails of my predicament. She seemed to be too preoccupied with her work to be wondering how was it I knew her name when we never met! Now as a human, people in the real world would call me a "Brony", a grown-up male fan of the hit show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic! I'm a Brony and proud of it! So naturally I knew Rarity for her generosity, sewing and amazing fashion design! I surveyed the chamber. It was a stone wall room that looked almost realistic! There was a small fire going in an old fireplace, almost burning out and a single window. There was an old, what looked like a Scottish rug in the middle of the chamber with an old wooden table. And then I saw the one thing, besides Rarity, that seemed out of place, a sewing machine of which Rarity seemed to be fiddling with just before switching it on to sew the fabric she was tending to.
"How is she getting Electricity to get that to work!?" I thought. It just didn't seem to make sense! It was one of the old sewing machines, like the ones that your grandmother more than likely used back in the day! Had I somehow entered some time rift dimension where a bunch of items from the past, present and future had been put into one specific time period but one couldn't tell what time period it was due to the mixture of historical and technical things all in one place in time. It started to sound like something out of Doctor Who!
But then I thought that to be absurd! How would a thing like that happen? Maybe this was a dream? That had to be the only logical explanation! If I remember going to bed in my own bed at home, then that could only mean that I was dreaming and there was always an easy way out of dreams! Just wake up! But this dream seemed to interesting already! Plus I just meet Rarity! I mean….that isn't to say that she's my favorite character out of the show, it's just an awesome thing, you know? To meet one of the mane 6? Rarity seemed to have fixed something on her sewing machine and her horn was glowing. Soon red glasses materialized and levitated toward her muzzle which she soon rested them atop of. Several fabrics where being levitated toward the sewing machine as well.
"Well? Aren't you going to help, Darling?" She asked me. I stood there still a little confused, but I figured it was probably best to help her out. Maybe I could talk to her about the situation. I nodded as Rarity looked up at me from her red glasses. "Hold this fabric while I sew it. We don't want it to touch that filthy floor, now do we?" I nodded again and stood at the side of the table holding the fabric. Rarity started sewing the fabric with an intense look of concentration in her eyes. I waited a few moments for her working rhythm to develop before I asked her anything. But before I could even utter a word, the only door to the chamber had opened and there stood two figures I also knew.
They were both human and both female. One was tall, slender with fair skin. Her hair was long, brown with a gray streak. Her eyes were brown and wore an emerald-green dress, a green sash with gold chains and a gold tiara with an emerald atop her head. I knew her as Queen Elinor, the Queen of DunBroch from Disney and Pixar's Brave! And then there was the other girl, Merida, her daughter who stood behind her. Merida was slender with fair skin like her mother's. her face was round with light freckles, rosy cheeks, blue eyes, long curly red hair and wore a dark teal cotton dress.
"How is the dress coming along?" Queen Elinor asked. "Ah, your highness! Well it's coming along just fine! I have…" at this point I wasn't paying any attention due to the fact that so much had happened so quickly!
I hardly had time to think and almost speak! I mean I could have spoken, said something earlier, but could ya blame me? I was trying to take everything in! Just what was going on here? Before I pondered any longer, another unicorn had appeared! A purple one! "Hi Rarity! Oh! Excuse me, your highness!" Rarity waved at the purple unicorn while talking to Queen Elinor. The unicorn walked toward me. I knew her as Twilight Sparkle. Now I knew that something weird was going on! Two characters who didn't even belong in the Disney realm were here in the same room with me and two Disney characters!
"Hi, my name is Twilight Sparkle." I grinned back and said: "I-I'm Ty McCain." I'd shake her hoof but….even as a Brony, I wasn't sure if they do that. "You're not from here, are you?" Twilight asked. "Well neither are you. You wouldn't mind telling me just what is going on here, do you?" I asked as Rarity and Queen Elinor were still discussing the dress. Merida looked absolutely bored out her mind, as if she never wanted to come here in the first place.
"I'm not sure, exactly! One moment, I'm studying spells at home, the next, I find that I'm in some kind of castle! Now I find that some kind of ceremony is to take place for a Princess and Rarity has agreed to make the dress." I nodded and told Twilight that I know as much as she does about the situation. "You seem pretty calm for someone who just woke up to this." Twilight pointed out. I said "I figure that this is a dream. One that I don't want to wake up from just yet." I knew how worried Twilight tends to get. It would be might awkward if I told her that I know about her and her friends and the two other humans in the room. I didn't even know if they'd know anything about television, computers or Internet! What was I talking about? This was a dream and in a dream, you could make anything happen! But I usually just like to sit back and enjoy the show! I liked where this was going. "We found you asleep in front of your house." Twilight said. "What?" "We found you asleep in front of your house."
That didn't seem to make sense to me at all! I mean, I woke up in this very room not too long ago and here I am, talking to Twilight Sparkle and she tells me that I was found in front of my own house?!? What was going on? "If you found me in front of my house…then how'd I end up here?" I asked. "My friends and I picked you up and carried you to the castle, we didn't want anything to happen to you, so I had Rarity look after you while she sewed." I nodded and said "Er, thanks!" Really, what WAS I supposed to say? It was kind of hard to respond to. We stood in silence for awhile while Rarity and Queen Elinor were chatting away until it happened.
After they had discussed the dress Queen Elinor asked Merida: "Merida, what do you think, dear?" At that the sixteen-year-old replied: "What do I think? What do I think? W-why are you doing this to me, mum? W-why do I have go through all this mess? I don't want to go through all this! It's not fair! I just don't understand…" she went on and on about how she didn't want to a part of it all! I just stood there all chill and I looked toward Twilight who had this look on her face. One of which I've seen before! She suspected something was up! I looked back at Merida and Queen Elinor and watched as Elnior grabbed Merida and lead her out of the room "Excuse us, ladies and er…sir" she said as she addressed us all. "Well that was rather rude!" Rarity said as she turned back to her work. I looked back at Twilight who still had that look on her face. Something told me that she suspected something!
After that, I don't remember much. I mean I guess at some point Twilight and I walked to my house which was a ways away from the Castle. I guess this being a dream, the scene could have transitioned from the Castle to my house. I do know this much, Twilight and I were in my parents room. I have no idea why we were in their room of all places but since I figured this was a dream, then somehow my subconscious had chosen this room as our destination.
The room was large, pretty much the same length and width as my living room which lay below my parents room. The bed was at the far end of the room to the left, if you were entering from the only door leading in and out of the room to the rest of the house. There couches were in the room to the other side of the bedroom one on each side all facing a cabinet that housed a TV. I doubt it would work but I kept reminding myself the possibility of all of this being a dream. Therefore, anything can and could happen! As far as other furniture in the room, there was dressers here and there, at least three. There was a large rug in front of the TV and a small rug behind the one long couch that faced the TV directly. This is where Twilight was, pacing behind it. I was standing in front of her while she pondered the situation like I always knew she'd do! Two other Ponies were in the room, both of whom I knew.
One was an Alicorn Princess whose coat was a pale, light grayish cerise. Her mane was a dark violet with moderate rose and pale gold streaks. And her eyes were a grayish purple. I knew her as Cadence! The former foal sitter to Twilight and recently married Alicorn to Shining Armor, Twilight's brother. Shining Armor's coat was a turquoisish white, his mane was a moderate sapphire blue with moderate cerulean and dark phthalo blue and his eyes were a moderate cerulean. He and Twilight had a very strong brother and sister relationship! Pretty much like me and my sister! They were asked to watch my house after Twilight and her friends found me, apparently. They were standing beside my parents bed, watching Twilight as she paced and explain what has been happening so far.
"There is no way a Princess would ever act like that! I mean I've seen how much she didn't seem to show any favoritism toward any of the preparations! She HAS to be Queen Chyrsallis! She's probably the reason why we were sent here!" Twilight said. I spoke up and said: "I don't think this is Queen Chyrsallis or anyone of the sort! I mean, why would a villain do almost the same exact thing they'd do the first time around and send you and your friends where she plans on enacting revenge and havoc? I know it isn't in the same place, but that doesn't mean that she's responsible for any of this!" I pointed out. I had to steer Twilight to the right solution without having to reveal just how it is I knew about her, her friends and of the Disney realm! "Hm….I guess you have a point. Still, don't you find it puzzling that we were sent here in the first place? We don't even know if we were summoned or if someone or somepony cast some sort of spell to get us here. This wasn't your doing was it?" She asked me. "Twilight, I have very little magical ability here! I may have dreamt all this up, but I just don't completely understand my magic in the dream world and can do so little! So just like any other type of magic, it takes time to practice, understand, discover, study and master! Surly you of all ponies understand." I said. Twilight thought about it for awhile then decided that she agreed and accepted my explanation. "So…you think that your subconscious just mixed something together and somehow pulled us into this world?" She asked. "Yes. I think that I have unknowingly have summoned all of you here without even knowing that I used or even thought of using a summoning spell or something! Consciously, I don't even know how to summon people, things, ponies or even places like my own house to a realm that has nothing to do with neither, mine or your world! A spell of such magnitude probably took such a toll on me, so that would probably explain why you and your friends found me pasted out in front of my own house!" "So if you woke up, then we would be sent back!?" Twilight asked. "More than likely, yes." And before she could ask, I pinched and slapped myself to prove to her that I was in too deep of the sleep stage to wake myself from slumber. I'm a heavy sleeper anyway, so even the loudest of storms never have woken me! "It's not that simple, Twilight! Nothing ever has!" I was glad to use this as a proper excuse! It was just so rare that I ever had a dream like this! I mean what Brony wouldn't want to dream about ponies!?
I watched Twilight pace behind the couch, taking all this information in. After awhile she stopped and asked: "There's just one more thing that bothers me! How do you know about me? How do you know about Queen Chrysalis!?" She was right, I've gone this far and I hadn't offered an explanation on just how it was I knew about Twilight, her friends and her adventures! I was kind of hoping that I would avoid this, but my hand was forced! If Twilight would have believed that Chrysalis and her changelings were behind this, there could be a problem!
What I mean to say is that….even though I was asleep in the real world and was dreaming about all of this, everything that my subconscious has "summoned" has also brought us to the actual, physical, Disney realm! See, anytime entertainment companies comes up with an idea and make it into a movie, show or game, then it becomes real! That is, it appears in the other undiscovered galaxies that we have yet to explore! So there is a galaxy for Disney, Hasbro, Cartoon Network, Marvel, Nintendo, to name a few! I have, at first, came up with this as just a theory and later discovered in a dream that my theory was correct! Sometimes, my subconscious would transport me to this world in my dreams, therefore creating a portal or a sort of gateway to this world based off of how obsessed I was from it, but for it to summon a fairly new obsession of mine and merge it with the latest Disney and Pixar movie, at the time, had never been done before!
I knew that I couldn't risk telling Twilight and her friends about this and other worlds but I had come this far and yet, the way that I was steering her away from her original theory seemed to be the only way! I was just too honest! I most certainly wouldn't want to lie to Twilight for it would risk a strong alliance of sorts if not a friendship that I would treasure! But then, I put it all in perspective! I was familiar with a similar situation! In Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension, Phineas, Ferb and all of their friends had their memory erased on the everything that had occurred that day so that they would keep Perry as their pet platypus! I thought "What if there was a spell in the pony world that Twilight could use to erase the memories made here in the Disney realm?" "Twilight, you have to promise me that after I tell you this, to never go looking for this and other worlds!" I said. "Okay…" "In fact….why don't we make that a Pinkie Promise!" "Okay, cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" Twilight said as she made the motions as suggested by the Pinkie Promise. No doubt Pinkie Pie had felt a disturbance in her Pinkie senses! "Same goes for the two of you, Shining Armor and Princess Cadence!" They promised me with a nod as well! "Okay…I am what you call a 'Brony'." I began as I used my limited magic to turn on the TV, which showed the "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" theme and intro. "I'm what you would call a grown up fan of a show called 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' and in this show, you and your friends go on these adventures, learning about the magic of friendship! So I know pretty much everything about you, your friends and enemies! I don't know if you know anything about television, but that's how I know you and your friends! I am a fan of your show!" "So you’re a part of a fandom? Like the Daring Do fandom!?" "Heh, pretty much, yes!" "Who would have thought…..I have a fan base!" "Yes, and I implore that you forget about what I told you! If there is a spell that will help you with that, then I'd advise you to use that to forget your experiences here!" "Okay, I promise! So do you know about this world that we've been transported to as well?" "Yes. I do! I am a fan of almost everything in this world and there are many many things that are beyond the borders of this land! So your going to need my help if you and your friends are to make it out of this place!" "How do you propose you do that if you don't fully understand your power?" "I think you'll find that my knowledge of this place will come in handy! I think that I should know the right people who can help! Shall we gather your friends and come up with a plan?" "Yes! I think that's the best decision from here! And hopefully you'll know enough about everypony!" "Yes....I think I will!" I said as I turned the TV off and lead Twilight out of my parents room!
Twilight and me stepped out of my parents room, intending to seek out the rest of Twilight's friends and tell them about the current situation. "Is there anything you wanted us to do?" Shining Armor asked as he poked his head out of my parents room. "Cast your protection spell, just in case there are certain unwanted outsiders." I said. I really couldn't think of anyone from Disney's Brave that would ever want a three-story house that was out of place and ahead of it's time in a foreign land like the Highlands of Scotland, except maybe Mor'du who which I would have the most difficult time trying to piece together exactly why a rouge bear like him would ever want a house like this. In any case, it probably was a wise decision on my part. I'm one who prefers to be prepared for something unexpected so I might as well make sure no unwanted, unexpected guests came across my house. Especially if I plan on traveling back home with it. "So you know ALL about us?" Twilight asked. "Eh, enough." I responded. "I'm not quite comfortable not knowing what it is you know about me and my friends, but I guess as long as it helps." "I guess you could say that I know the important stuff like most of your friendship lessons, letters to Princess Celestia, the enemies you and your friends have defeated, important events…stuff like that, I guess." Really, it would be easier to just show her the already 52 episodes that I've seen. I'll remind you, this was a dream I had in the summer of 2012 when Bronies like me were awaiting the arrival of MLPs third season so I didn’t or wouldn't know of anything that Twilight had been doing if any of it had anything to do with events or episodes after season two. "Well then you've hardly missed a thing." Twilight said, as we took our last steps down the stairs. Twilight's horn lit up a purple aura and that same aura outlined the door handle of the front door. Twilight stepped outside with me following her down the the three bricked staircase that lead to the front door of my house. I was used to seeing a u-shaped driveway in front of that bricked staircase, but instead, it was forest with a visible opening a plain and a pinkish aura descended across the perimeter of my house, Shining Armor's protection spell had worked! Guess it was kinda lucky that my self-conciseness had my house hidden. As I stepped down from the bricked staircase and closed the door, I saw the most beautiful pony I ever saw. Well….I've seen her before in the show, but to see her half-way for real and half-way in a dream was all the more magical! A pony with a coat of light brilliant gamboge, long mane and tail which were a pale, light grayish olive. Her eyes a moderate sap green. Her face had freckles, and wore a cowboy hat. The pony of my dreams was right there in front of me and I was smitten! Bit by the love bug, as they say! As a Brony, I have seen bits and pieces of every pony in me but sometimes, when your not certain, you take a personality quiz. As it turned out and wouldn't you know it, I was more like Applejack! The only pony who doesn’t ever seem to get the right amount of attention from the fandom. Once I saw that I most definitely was like her, I started to love her even more and now I got the chance to meet her! She seemed to be talking to Twilight but I didn't catch a word she said. I just saw the most wonderful pony of all of Equestria opening her mouth to speak and it seemed as though this dream had gone in slow motion. The only thing I could think about was Applejack! Oh how cute she stood there talking about something I didn’t even care to listen to because I was in the presence of the most beautiful, hard working pony around! She blinked in slow motion, a cute slow blink, and then those wonderful green eyes were fixated on me! And then, she spoke the cutest thing ever! "Are you alrigh', Sugarcube?" Ah, she called me 'Sugarcube'! I nearly melted at that when I felt someone or I should say, somepony bumped me. I woke up from my 'dream within a dream' dream sequence. Twilight had bumped me to get my attention. I should have known better to have admired Applejack's true beauty at a time like this! "Wha?" Was all I could muster. "I asked you what the plan was from here." Twilight said. I closed my eyes and placed my hand to head, as if I were to think about our current situation. Something to do save me from an embarrassing moment of being caught daydreaming about Applejack. "I was just thinking about that….so sorry I dozed of there…now then. I say we meet the others and tell them what I told you Twilight. From there, I will tell all of you any information regarding this place.", I opened my eyes, "Applejack and I will go find Pinkie and Rainbow Dash." I said, as I thought of the two other ponies I related to the most. "You go find Rarity and Fluttershy. Is Spike here by any chance?" Twilight gasped "I-I don't know! Why I didn't I ever think of-" "It's okay, Twilight. I'm sure he'll be fine! If he's here, I should know. I'm not exactly sure how, but surly I'll be able to track him down if he is here. I just want to make sure we have everyone here together as much as possible so that when I find a solution to this mess, everyone and everypony should be able to travel to their rightful place." "Alert me as soon as you can if you do find him!" "Of course Twilight, I know how you feel about him." With that we set upon our separate ways and I was with the pony of my dreams! "So uh….how are ya feelin'?" Applejack asked. "I'm fine. Just trying to get ya'll home." I said, as I followed Applejack through the plains and up a hill. "It was a might bit weird finding someone like you just pasted out like that." "Wait…..you…found me?" "Yea. One minute ah'm applebuckin' the far east orchard and then the next, ah'm haulin' all them apples toward the barn. The next thing ah knew, ah find you pasted out in front of a house ah've never seen before! When ah looked up, ah was in a different place, like Twilight had teleported me. Ah come to find though that everypony was there too! We ALL were mindin' our own business and found ourselves here without a single clue as to how we got here or why." "Well I think I'm at fault here….I'll tell you about it once we've gathered everypony though. I just don't want to tell the same story more than twice!" "Heh, you migh' have to get ready to tell it again after that cuz you never know if somepony like Pinkie will get it all." "Ha, true enough!" It wasn't hard keeping up with Applejack. She maybe the fastest pony of the Mane 6, but I have both her and Rainbow Dash's speed. I'm not certain if I'm the 'fastest human around' but even if there was any way to compare if I was fast, faster or as fast as Applejack, I'm not so certain if I'd win or if there'd be a tie. This was half-way my dream anyway so anymore speed I needed was supplied by my 'dream magic'. Ahead of us we saw a speedy rainbow flash in the sky. "Rainbow!" Applejack said. The blur of rainbows stopped and then we finally saw Rainbow Dash mid-air flapping her wings. "Hey AJ! What's up? You got that human to wake up?" "Uh, not exactly. Just come on, we're havin' a team meetin' at that there uh…..big house we all found with this feller." Applejack said, pointing to me then added: "Have you seen Pinkie?" "I'm right here, silly filly!" said a non visible Pinkie Pie, as she hopped her way up the hill. "Oooooo! I see you've made a new friend!" Pinkie added, as she saw us gathered around. "Pinkie, where HAVE you been? I've been looking all over for you!" Rainbow said. "My rump was itchin', that means there's a party that needs tending to, so I ran where all the fun was and helped these people PAR-TAY!!" I remembered there being a festival in Brave. That must have been where Pinkie had gone. "We need you to follow us back to that big house where we found this person. We're havin' a team meetin'." Applejack said. "Okey dokey!" Pinkie started hopping back the way Applejack and I came. "I'll make sure Twilight and the others are on their way." Rainbow Dash said, as she sped ahead of us. Either way, I was glad to be spending time with my favorite pony and Pinkie! I figured that Applejack just might come to like me after she saw what we have in common! But I told myself that this was no 'date dream' to my dismay. Perhaps someday, though…
