After Twilight's Coronation, these two ponies arranged a secret meeting--- Like they were best friends since the start!
Twilight Sparkle is now an Alicorn! Yay! And Flash Sentry, one of the Royal Guard, has arranged a secret meeting after the Coronation. But Sunset Shimmer appeared with Flash Sentry, talking to each other. Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer fought, but Princess Celestia taught them a lesson. Who will Flash Sentry choose?
"Princess Celestia?" Alicorn Twilight Sparkle, still wearing her Coronation dress, went to the Princess of Equestria. "Princess? Can I go to somewhere? My other friend and I promised to go at the back of the Canterlot Castle after my Coronation." Princess Celestia, startled out of her train of thought, looked at Twilight as if she was her daughter that stomped mud all over the shining tiles. "Twilight, what did I tell you about knocking? As a Princess, you need to learn your manners!" Twilight hung her head down. "Alright, you may go. Whoever your friend is. Just be careful! I want you to tell me the name of your 'friend' first." Twilight looked back at her, "It's Flash Sentry." "What did you say?" "I said, it's FLASH SENTRY!" She said, a bit louder. "You mean the new Guard?" Princess Celestia looked confused. But Twilight Sparkle was already outside, running to her friend, Flash Sentry.
"Flash! Flash!" Twilight came running to the dark-blue-and-light-blue maned stallion wearing the Royal Guard armor. "Hey, Twi! Congratulations to being a Princess now..." Flash Sentry brohoofed her. They were at the back of the Canterlot Castle, the ground filled with old, dried-up leaves from old gnarled trees, and pieces of plastic were scattered all over the place. A good place to be a Secret Hideout. "Thanks!" Twilight Sparkle giggled. "How did you even, you know, became a Royal Guard? I mean, it's been a while since we met in Magic Kindergarten, and then we met again after I journeyed to Canterlot High." She shivered at the memory of fingers and legs. "Well, my father is one of the Royal Guard, and so he brought me here to train to be one. I missed you so much those days we were apart. All of the ponies in Middle School are Sunset Shimmer clones. Ugghh." The Guard shivered. "But it's a good thing that we met again, thank Celestia." Twilight poked Flash. The two of them poked each other until it was time to say goodbye. "Bye, Princess!" Flash waved. "Goodnight, Flash!" Twilight waved back.
Meanwhile, Sunset Shimmer, in a secret place, stood looking at a picture with Flash Sentry and Twilight Sparkle on it. She grabbed this and crumpled it. "Soon," She thought, "I'll get Flash Sentry from her. She ruined my life once, and I'll ruin hers!"
Twilight was startled to see Sunset Shimmer talking to Flash Sentry, using her hoof to curl her fiery mane. Twilight came to them with an angry face. "What's the meaning of this?" Twilight yelled to both of them, "And you!" She said, pointing to Sunset Shimmer, "You're a meanie! You bullied Fluttershy and me and the whole student body in Canterlot High!" Twilight's mane and tail became fires, very hot fires while strangling Sunset Shimmer. "Flash!" Sunset yelled, "Help me!" Flash did not know what to do. Ponies started looking at them, confused on why the Princess Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer were fighting their heads off. That is when Princess Celestia came. "Twilight Sparkle! Sunset Shimmer!" She boomed to both of them, "Go to the Throne Room, now!" Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer hung their heads as they walked towards the Canterlot Castle. Flash was petrified as Princess Celestia turned to him. "Flash Sentry, you too." Flash did as he was ordered.
When Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer already arrived in the Throne Room which was still empty, they were muttering "I'll show you!"
As soon as Princess Celestia and Flash Sentry arrived at the Throne Room, Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer quickly made space for him, making Flash confused but sat between them anyway. Princess Celestia gave them a stern look. "I know that both of you--- Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer --- are rivals and are my students." The two mares looked at the ground. ".... And both of you like Flash Sentry." She continued. Flash, Twilight, and Sunset Shimmer blushed redder than before. "I do not mean to humiliate you by telling the whole Equestrian universe that the newly-crowned Princess and her fire-colored maned rival are fighting over one of the youngest and newest members of the Royal Guard. Flash, as one of the members of the Royal Guard, you should break the fight of Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer, but why you did not do it? I understand the fact that you, Twilight Sparkle, and Sunset Shimmer are the same age, and I am old enough to understand stallion's and mare's troubles." Flash Sentry stood up, "But Princess! I didn't do it because I was afraid that it would only made it worse!" Princess Celestia grew more sterner. "As one of the Royal Guard, it is your duty! You would break the fight if you even had enough courage! It does not matter if it would only made it worse." Twilight, at last, having the chance to speak, stood up. "Princess Celestia!" She started, "I was the one who started it. I was jealous because Sunset Shimmer was Flash's first marefriend. I loved Flash so much that I did not wanted anypony to steal him away from me!" Princess Celestia shook her head, doubtful. "Then why didn't you just talk it out?" Twilight grew silent. "Sunset Shimmer, do you have anything to say, hm?" Sunset Shimmer shook her head. "You see, you are all young to fight over some stallion that you both like. Try to work it out. Equestria has nothing to do with jealousy and etc. If Flash chooses the other mare, then it is alright. Now, if you do not mind me, I'll go to the Dining Hall to eat my chocolate cake." Flash, Twilight Sparkle, and Sunset Shimmer burst out laughing.
Flash Sentry sighed as he walked alone on the Streets of Ponyville. Wondering of who will he choose. "Both of them are great, but Twilight Sparkle, I've known her since we were in Magic Kindergarten...." And he ran to Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle was in her bedroom, sighing. Flash Sentry's image was in her thoughts. She was startled when Flash came, running into her bedroom. "Twilight! Twilight!" She thought that he had said this, "I choose you!" Twilight smiled and hugged him tight, he did this too. And with that, they became a couple.
