Have you seen the mailmare?
Derpy Hooves smelled the familiar scent of lilacs when she entered the post office. For she was in a good mood today, but didn't know exactly why. She trotted towards her boss looking for somthing to do. She took a deep breath and started talking.
"Hey boss, I know it's not my work day but I wanted to work anyways. Is there anything I can do to make me less board? I mean, I can leave if you want but I really wanted to help. Is there somthing I can drop- I mean send?" Derpy quickly added that last part.
After all the usual stuff happening,(eat, fall down steps, go to nurse because a tiny bruise, get a muffin band-aid, go outside, fall off cloud then remember you're a Pegasus too late, go to hospital, they give you surgery, you get a muffin band-aid, make it to work without more ingureys.) She started delivering mail and breacking mailboxes.
Twilight Sparkle paced around the library. Celestia sent her a letter telling her about a important test. Yet, the mailmare was running a little late today. Twilight grabbed a book and used her magic to read it. If she thought about studying, mabie she'll forget about the late package.
"Spike? Have you seen the mailmare today?" Spike shoke his head signaling he hadn't seen her. Well, so much for that idea. I mean, who can forget about a test when it's only 1 week away? "Stop worring Twilight! It'll be fine! There's nothing to worry about!" Twilight noticed she was talking to herself and stoped herself before she overdid it.
Spike looked at Twilight with a worried expression on his face. "Twilight? Are you feeling alright?" Twilight was glad Spike asked that. He's always the dragon who will care about you and your problems. But that didn't make the package come any faster.
"I'm fine spike.I'm just worried about the package. Thats all."

Derpy put down her quil and smiled. This was the best letter she had ever made! She grabbed the letter and tucked it into the side of the box. The looked at the "big clock thing" as she called it and frowned. She was about 13 hours early.
"Hey, Twillight? I sorta sent the last blank peice of paper to Princess Celestia."...."Twilight?"
Spike walked down the oak steps and stoped. There, laying in a shaking curled up ball, was Twilight. Spike heard her whispering something so he got closer.
"It'll come, it'll come, it'll come, it'll come, it'll come...Spike?"
Spike stopped dead where he was. Twilight was looking at him with twitching ears and eyes that seemed like they were staring into your soul.
He dropped all of the books he was holding and ran upstairs to get paper to write a letter to Princess Celestia. Once he got into the desk jour that normally held paper was empty. Since all the shops were closed due to the weekend, there was only one way to get paper. He went back down stairs and asked Twilight if she had seen the mailmare.
Derpy was baking muffins when all the sudden the cloud door was smashed by two blue hooves.
"DERPY!" Rainbow Dash shouted "The pegisi at the left side of ponyville are finding all these storm clouds above a big oak tree. Can you explain?"
Derpy stared at Rainbow Dash with wide eyes- well, crossed wide eyes. "It wasn't me Dash! I know I usually start all the mess-ups, but I pinkie pie promise it wasn't me!!!"
all the sudden a pink pony poped out of the cloud from nowhere. She looked Derpy straight in the eyes and whispered "foreverrrrrr"
Dash rolled her eyes and turned towards Derpy. "Well, anyways, we can't seem to get rid of these clouds. It's like the clouds are... magical. Me and my friends are going to find Twilight and asking her what it is and stuff- because she's an egghead and it's right over her library. What I mean is, don't worry about it."
"Okay Dashie! See you there!" Derpy turned around to see pinkie pie leaving.
Suddenly Derpy was alone again with her burning muffins.
"Twilight you home?" Apple Jack knocked on the door.
"Is the mailmare here?" Came the shaking voice of Spike inside the library.
Rarity gasped "Are you alright spikey-"
"He asked you a question, but you probably don't remember it- seeing you guys didn't answer it. The question was Is the mailmare here?"
"I-is that you T-twilight?" Fluttershy squeaked. The hoof steps inside the library got closer and closer until the door slammed open.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT" A insane looking Twilight yelled.
All five of the girls gasped in shock. "Well. My job here is done." Rainbow Dash tried to fly away but Apple Jack took ahold of her tail.
"We ain't leaving untill this-" AJ pointed at Twilight "is done." Once Rainbow Dash agreed, Apple Jack spit out the tail smiling. "Taste like skittles." Rainbow Dash gave her a deadly stare and stormed into the library. Every pony followed her in trembling as Twilight's smile seemed to grow every second.
"So Twilight.... darling, whatever happened to your mane?" Rarity talked quickly wanting it to be over with.
Twilight grinned and simply said "have you seen the mailmare?"
It has been a day since Derpy had the package. There were multiple missing signs around ponyville showing five different mares, one being Dash. The cutie mark crusaders looked everywhere in equestria for the mares, but they weren't anywhere. The three fillies ended jp staying with the rest of the Apple Family, non-stop crying.
Derpy looked at the clock in her room seeing it was time to deliver her note. Derpy flew to Twilight's house to deliver her note and the package, but there was a note on the door written on what looked like fur with red ink. The note read: "do not come in, unless you are the mailmare." Derpy smiled, thinking she got some kind of VIP pass. The door was unlocked, so Derpy decided to enter. But when she came in, the door locked behind her and the dark room showed the outline of a unicorn. Derpy panicked, noticing her hooves were wet with sticky, sour smelling stuff. The unicorn laughed and said "I have found the mailmare."
