Not so Great and Powerful
chapter 1
A blue unicorn filly jumped in front of an older mare that was talking on a phone; "Mama! Watch as the great and powerful-"

The older mare looked down at her daughter and shook her head, "Not now trixie, mommy has work to do." Trixie's mother walked around her daughter and begun talking on the phone again.

"Oh. Um okay." The blue filly sighed and walked up to her room with her head facing the floor. Trixie looked up at the blue magician hat that hung on a hook on her door. "Dad. Why'd you leave?" The blue unicorn sighed before planting her head into her pillow. The filly started to cry into her pillow when her grandmother came in.

"Oh Trixie, what is wrong?" The light red mare sat down on Trixie's bed and waited for the filly to sit up.

"I wanted to show mama something, but she wouldn't let me! She said she was busy." Trixie wiped at the tears before looking up at her grandmother.

"Oh sweetheart. You know your mother is a busy busy mare!" Trixie's grandmother wrapped her arm around her granddaughter.

"But Granny!" Trixie lowered her head.

"No ifs, ands, or buts about it."

Trixie nodded and then watched as her grandmother left her room. "Nopony cares about my magic!" Trixie watched her reflection in a mirror as a single tear trickled down her cheek. "I'm the worthless and unimportant Trixie..."

"Trixie! It's time for dinner!"

Trixie stopped reading her magic book and looked up at the ceiling. "But I'm not hungry!" The blue filly whined to herself as her sister marched into her room. "Pixie! Go away!" Trixie yelled at her pink sister.

Pixie rolled her eyes, "Mom said dinner's ready!" Pixie growled at her sister.

"Yeah? Well tell her I said I don't care!" Trixie pushed her sister out of her room and slammed the door in anger. "Gosh! Nopony gets it!" Trixie jumped back onto her bed and threw her face back into the pillow.

Trixie was awoken by her door knob hitting her wall. "Wha-!" The unicorn filly jumped out of her bed and faced her grandmother. "Granny! Why'd you wake me up!"

The old red mare smiled, "We're going camping!" The old pony's smiled grew in size as she continued to speak; "So get packed!"

Trixie sighed and headed towards her bed. "It's in the middle of the night, Granny. Go back to bed."

Trixie's Granny grabbed her and twirled her around in circles, "But that's the best time to go camping!"

The blue filly sighed and shook her head; "I'll pass, Granny." Trixie's Grandmother was about to protest when somepony called for her, "Northern! Hurry it up!" Granny Lights sighed, "Sweetheart you got no choice."

Trixie stomped her hoof on the ground, "But Granny Lights! I don't wanna go!" The blue unicorn whined until her older sister came in.

"What's this!" Pixie snorted with annoyance.

"Pixie! Tell Granny that I don't have to go camping!" said Trixie.

The old red unicorn snorted at Trixie; "Sweetheart your mommy can't leave you alone! You'll get taken away."

Trixie turned around to where her back faced her grandmother. "I don't care! She doesn't love me anyways!"

Trixie's mother, Magic, looked taken aback. "What do you mean!? I love you with all my heart!"

Trixie sharply turned around, "Tough way of showing it!" Trixie narrowed her eyes with angry. "If you actually loved me you'd want to see my magic! I bet you don't even know what I want to be when I'm older!" Trixie turned around once again before her mother could speak.

"Fine! If you don't want to go camping with us then you can spend the week with your aunt and uncle!" Her mother yelled before trotting out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

"Thank celestia!" Trixie hopped back onto her bed and crossed her arms. "I don't have to spend a week with her."

"Okay Trixie, We're going to drop you off at your aunt's house and then we'll be on our way." Trixie's mother nodded before heading out the door.

Trixie walked beside her grandmother as she looked around. The blue filly watched as the streets of Balitmare turned into dirt paths.

"Beautiful!" Pixie took out her camera and took a picture of a big purple butterfly.

Darn. I wish I would of brought my camera. Trixie put her head down and watched the dirt path.

About thirty minutes later the four ponies stopped in from of a huge building. "Okay Trixie. This is where your journey with us ends." Silver smiled at her daughter before pointing her horn at the big white mansion.

"Woah! Really!?" Trixie smiled happily.

An aquamarine mare trotted from behind the white house. "Well toot my whistle! Looky who we have here! If it isn't my ol' sister." Magic hugged Trixie's mother before turning to the blue mare. "Are ya here ta stay with me?"

Trixie nodded happily before trotting over to her aunt's side. "Woah! I love your cutie mark!" Trixie pointed to the mark on her aunt's flank.

"Oh this ol' thang?" Magic turned so she could she her cutie mark. "It represents my love for being a magician."

Trixie's eyes glittered with amusement. "Your a magician!?" Trixie hugged her aunt; "I think I'm going to like it here!" Trixie's aunt smiled at the young blue filly and then waved goodbye as the rest of Trixie's family left to go camping.

chapter 2

Aunt Magic led the small filly into the big mansion. "Welcome to the Tricks Mansion, Sugarcube." Aunt Magic then led Trixie through the kitchen and into the living room. "You hungry?"

Trixie shook her head and turned to look out of the window, "Do you live on a farm?" The blue filly walked over to the window and peered out of it.

"You could said that." Said Magic before walking over to the window too.

Trixie nodded before looking out of the window again, "It's beautiful."

The mansion was surround by woods, but there was a good amount of land behind the house. All of Aunt Magic's territory was surrounded by a beautiful cloud-white fence. The grass was cut which left the cutest pattern in the lawn, and there was a porch at the back of the house that Aunt Magic would have cookouts at. There was even a small red barn that connected to the fence; it probably had some type of animal in it.

"Yea. It's peaceful here. Every now and then you'll see a traveler past by, but usually it's quieter than a mouse. Unless you count the birds chirping in the morning and let's not mention Mr.Doodle. He wakes me up every single morning at the same time, but you'll get use to it!" Trixie's aunt chuckled before entering the kitchen once more.

Trixie looked around the giant living room before heading upstairs. "It's so big..." The blue unicorn murmured to herself as she continued down the hallway.

"Your darn right too!"

Trixie jumped around in a 180 degree angle to face the stallion that just startled her. "Oh. Um who are you?" Trixie curled in a tight ball on the floor. The unicorn looked up at the stallion before covering her eyes with her hooves.

The stallion laughed before bending down to meet the frightened filly. "Well look at you. You've grown so much since the last time I've seen you!" The white stallion chuckled before standing back up. "Nice to meet you again, Trixie. My name is Card Tricks, but you can call me Card! Oh and I'm your uncle!"

A smile grew as she looked up at her uncle. "Wow! I seen you in ages!" Trixie jumped up and greeted her uncle with a big hug. "Gosh I missed you!" Trixie said before stopping to think, "Sorry about earlier... I haven't seen you in so long that I kinda forgot what you looked liked!"

Uncle Card smiled and hugged the blue filly back. "I was worried that you wouldn't remember me." The white stallion confessed to his young niece.

Trixie smiled at Card Tricks. "I'd never forget my favorite aunt and uncle!" said Trixie.

It was around six o' clock in the afternoon when Aunt Magic had dinner made. The aqua colored mare smiled at her husband as he and Trixie came down the stairs laughing. "I'm glad you two are getting along." Aunt Magic grinned at her two family members.

The sun was just above the horizon and soon it would become dark. "Maybe tomorrow I'll tell you about the story of Nightmare Moon!" Uncle Card bent down to face the little filly before crackling evilly.

Magic Tricks turned to face her husband, "Oh, Card, don't frighten the poor foal!" The aquamarine mare smiled before turning back to finish cooking dinner.

"Auntie Magic! Auntie Magic!" Trixie raced over to the aquamarine mare. "I'm having the best time of my life!"

Magic Tricks smiled before looked out of the window and at the setting sun. "That's good to hear, Darling!" said Magic.

Trixie smiled before heading towards the dinner table. "What's for dinner?" The young filly asked before sitting down.

"Fried Hay fries and grilled daffodil sandwich! Yummmmmmmy!" The blue unicorn's uncle licked his lips and rubbed his tummy.

Trixie imitated her uncle by licking her lips and rubbing her belly, "Mmmm! Sounds tasty!" said Trixie.

Card Tricks smiled at the blue unicorn, "Your aunt's food is always tasty! It's a shock that her cutie mark isn't about cooking!" Uncle Card chuckled before levitating the sandwich with his magic and taking a bite. "Try it, Trix!" Trixie's uncle grabbed another sandwich and placed it on his niece's plate.

The blue filly hesitated before slowly lifting the food with her magic. "Ok, but I'm not really hungry..." Trixie opened her mouth and slowly took a bite. The butter mixed with the cheese made Trixie's taste buds go wild as she slowly swallowed the sandwich. "Wow! This doesn't taste that bad!"

Auntie Magic's face lit up with happiness, "I'm glad ya'll like it."

Trixie smiled at her aunt and uncle, "I really like it-" The young filly was interrupted by a big yawn.

"Seems like somepony is tired!" Trixie's uncle picked the blue unicorn up and took her up to the foal's guest room. The room was a little smaller than the living room and there was a bed in the center of the room. A curtain-like drape slumped over the bed making it look like one of those beds from a fairytale. A bookshelf was one either sides of the bed. Card Tricks laid his niece on the bed and laid a purple blanket over her. "Sleep tight and don't let the bugs bite." The white stallion kissed the blue filly on her forehead before giving her a Starswirled the Bearded plushie and tucking the blanket under her.

chapter 3
surprise, surprise

A few days later, Trixie's mother and grandmother came back to aunt magic's house to pick up the blue unicorn.

"But I don't want to go home!" The blue filly whined as she raced over to her aunt's side, "I wanna stay with them!"

Northern Lights sighed before running over to her grandfilly, "Sweetie. You must come home! We have a surprise for you!"

"Yeah and I think your going to like it!" Trixie's mother, silver, rushed over to her daughter next.

"Really? What is it!?"

"You'll see!" Northern smiled as Trixie's face lit up with excitement.

Trixie stopped to think for a minute. "Alright fine." The blue unicorn turned around and gave her aunt a hug, then she raced over and gave Uncle Card a hug too. "But it's only because I want to see the surprise." The little filly snorted and then walked out of the door and over to the dirt path.

"Thanks again sis." Silver smiled at her sister before leaving the big white mansion.

"Mother. Where's Pixie?"

"We took her home so she could get your surprise set up." said Silver.

"You did what!?" Trixie growled and stomped her hooves on the ground, "Pixie hates me! Why would you let her set up my "surprise" why!?"

Silver looked taken aback, "Your sister loves you very much, darling."

"Mom don't. You don't see or understand what I go through because your to busy with work or drooling at your precious foal, Pixie!" Trixie snorted in anger. It's always about Pixie! My surprise is probably a toy from the cereal box!

Northern Lights shook her head in pity.

It took awhile before the dirt paths changed into the streets of Balitmare. "Sweetheart we're almost home. Do you want to know what your surprise is now or later?" Silver stopped in front of her daughter and waited for an answer.

"Later."

The older mare looked at her daughter with confusion, "Are you serious? You don't want to know what your getting?"

"Yes... I'm serious."

"That's unlike you."

"How should you know?" Snapped Trixie.

When Trixie and the rest of her household reached their house she stopped and waited for her mother to catch up. "Okay. Where is this "surprise" of yours?" Trixie turned to face her mother as she waited for a response.

"It's upstairs in your bedroom. I promise you Pixie didn't ruin anything." Silver smiled at her daughter before turning back to her tired grandmother.

"Thank you mother."

The blue unicorn raced up the stairs and then ran into her room.

"How do you like it sis?" Pixie smiled as if nothing was bothering her.

"I-I love it!" The small filly smiled at her newly refurbished room.

Trixie's room was better than her dream room. There were glow-in-the-dark stars and moons sprinkled out on her ceiling. There was a bookshelf that was full of magic book and unicorn history. Her bed had a picture of Starswirled The Bearded on it. Her walls were painted blue and there was a case holding her magician hat and cape in it, since that was her prize possession. White curtains covered her windows and there were a few plushies at the top of her bed where she would put her head when she went to sleep. The best part of the room was the light brown desk that held a picture of her father on either side of it.

"I truly love it, Pixie."

The pink unicorn laughed, "Good. Cause you better love it while you can." whispered Pixie.

"Wait what?"

"Oh nothing." Pixie laughed once more before trotting out of the room.

Trixie sighed, "I guess nothing really changed after all..." Trixie sighed unhappily.

About 30 minutes later Trixie runs downstairs just to be tripped by Pixie. "Ouch! My horn!"

The pink unicorn giggled at her sister, "Aw did you hurt your wittle horn?" Pixie pointed at her sister and then glared at her, "Well to bad."

Trixie's mother ran upstairs, "What happened?" The older mare frowned as she saw Trixie rubbing her horn.

"Oh momma! Trixie fell and hurt her horn! I was so worried, but she wouldn't let me help her!" Pixie ran up to her mother and hugged her, "Is she going to be okay?"

"I don't know sweetheart." Silver hugged her oldest daughter before walking over to her youngest daughter. Trixie's mother helped her youngest daughter up and led her into the kitchen. The little filly winced as her mother cleaned her wounds with alcohol.

"Momma is Trixie going to be okay?" Pixie started to slightly cry.

"Trixie will be just fine. She's just a little bruised."

"Oh good! I don't know if I could live with myself if she was seriously hurt!" The pink filly stopped crying and hugged her sister as their mother left the kitchen. "Thanks a lot, Runt! You almost got me in trouble!" Trixie's pink sister hissed before whacking her with tail.

"Ouch! What have I ever done to you?" Trixie hopped off of the counter and faced her sister, Pixie.

"Oh! Absolutely nothing! Your just fun to bully." Pixie laughed.

The little blue unicorn rubbed her left cheek, "Geez! You don't have to be so mean." The filly walked back up to her room and locked the door. "Well I don't care if nopony in my family likes me!" Trixie walked over to her bookshelf and grabbed a book named, Magic Tricks For Beginners. "The Great and Powerful Trixie will show them!" The blue unicorn smiled, "I'm going to start saying that more often!" said Trixie. The Great and Powerful Trixie! The little filly thought to herself as she begun practicing some magic tricks.

Chapter 4
Give It Back

Trixie looked up from her magic book and then looked to her left. "Is it still under there?" The blue filly hopped off of the seat and crawled under her bed, "Yep." The unicorn slowly dragged a big white container out from underneath her bed. "Good. Pixie didn't touch it."

Trixie lifted a few items out of the white tote before carefully laying them beside her. "No. No. No. No, no, no!" Trixie growled with annoyance, "Where is it?!"

"Where's what?" said Pixie.

"My special edition Magic Twirler plushie that dad got me when I was born!"

"Oh that stupid thing?" teased Pixie.

"Yes! Why!? Do you have it?"

"I might." The pink unicorn smiled evilly.

"Give it back!!!" Trixie yelled at her sister before lunging at her, "Or so help me!"

The older sister pushed Trixie off with her hindlegs, "Or what?" Pixie turned around to leave Trixie's room.

"Or The Great and Powerful Trixie will KILL YOU!" Trixie jumped onto her sister's back and bit hard on her ear.

"Ouch! Get off of me!" pixie squealed in pain.

"Give me back my toy!"

"Fine!"

The blue filly kept on biting her sister until her mother ran into the room.

"Trixie! Get off of your sister. Now!!!" Silver grabbed her youngest daughter and placed her on her bed. "After all she's done for you!"

"Mother like I said before, you don't know what she does to me when your not watching!" The blue unicorn growled at her mother.

"Don't start young lady."

"Mom tell Pixie to give me my plushie!"

"Pixie do you have her plushie."

"Yes momma! But she told me that I could play with it." Pixie said as she popped out her bottom lip.

"Just give it back, please sweetie."

"Fine momma." The pink unicorn slowy makes her way into her own room and reaches under her drawers. "Now where is it?" Pixie used her magic to levitate the plushie out from under the drawer. "Here you go sis." Pixie smiled as she gave the Magic Twirler plushie back to Trixie.

"Thank you, Pixie." The two fillies watched as their mother left Trixie's room.

"Your welcome... Runt."

The next day

Trixie clung onto her plushie as Pixie dragged her downstairs. "I told you yesterday that your first day of school was today! So get your sorry for nothing flank out here!" The pink unicorn let go off her sister so she could put her saddlebag on. "Hurry up Trixie! We're going to be late."

The blue unicorn looked up at her sister, "Who's going to take us to school?"

"Nopony. we're walking to school alone." said Pixie.

Trixie nodded and followed her sister out of the door, "So are we going to be in the same class?"

The pink filly nodded as she and her sister continued down the sidewalk. "Of course. Our school is only one room."

Trixie nodded as she and her sister walked the rest of the way in silence.

Trixie's school was a little yellowish-white, there was two windows on every side of the small building. A large copper bell hung in a tower that was built on the school's roof. Beside the school there was a playground that had three swings, a slide, monkey bars, and a merry go round.

"Wow look at that park!" The blue filly smiled as the school's bell rung.

"Yeah. Well it's time for school to start and Ms. Winters can be harsh when it comes to being tardy." said Pixie.

"Tardy?" Trixie tilted her head in confusion.

"Late."

"Oh. Okay."

A white Pegasus smiled as the little fillies and colts trotted into her classroom. "Good morning class! and welcome to the first day of school!" Ms. Winters smiled at her new students.

Trixie was just about to yawn when the bell rang for lunch and recess. "Finally." The blue unicorn waited for all of the other students to run out to the playground. The filly walked out of the school. The sun shone brightly into Trixie's eyes making her shield them with her hoof.

"Hi! My name's TabbyBelle!" A brown unicorn smiled and held a hoof out.

Trixie smiled back, "The name's Trixie." The blue filly took the other filly's hoof and shook it.

It was about fifteen minutes later when the teacher came out of the building and called the class back inside.

Trixie sat next to her new friend and listened to the teacher for a while.

TabbyBelle passed a piece of paper to Trixie and then waited for her to respond.

Trixie took her pencil and a piece of paper so she could write to her friend, Wanna come over today? The blue filly folded the paper and then looked up at the teacher before passing the note.

The brown unicorn looked at Trixie and then took her pencil and responded, I'd love too!
after school
"So you don't have your cutie mark either?" TabbyBelle looked at her new friend with curiousity.

"Yeah. I'm hoping I have a cutie mark related to being a magician like my aunt and uncle!" said Trixie.

"No way! You want to be a magician too?" Tabby asked, her eyes glittering with excitement.

"Of course! Magicians are the best!" The blue filly jumped up in down sharing the same excitement.

Trixie and TabbyBelle arrived at Trixie's house when something crashed from within the house.

"Mother!?" Pixie and Trixie exchanged glances before running through the door and into the living room where shattered glass littered the floor.

"Why!? Oh Celestia why her!?" Silver Lulamoon grabbed another picture frame and through it against the floor, the frame shattered into millions of pieces on the floor.

"Trixie. Take your friend and go into your room."

"But Pixie!

"NOW!" Pixie screamed before rushing over to her mother's side.

Trixie nodded before gesturing Tabby to go upstairs with her. "Gosh. I'm so sorry about that Tabby! That has never happened before!" Trixie sighed.

The small brown unicorn shrugged her shoulders, "I've seen worse. Anyways this is an epic room!"

The blue filly smiled, "Thank you! Pixie arranged it for me."

Tabby nodded before walking over to the golden and silver case that held Trixie's magician hat and cape. "Woah! Where'd you get this!?" The brown filly looked over her shoulder at her friend.

"That's my magician cape and hat and my father got me that for my birthday three years ago... But he's gone now."

"Oh. I'm sorry."

"Don't be."

Silver and Pixie walked into Trixie's room with solemn expressions on their faces.

"What's wrong mother?" asked Trixie.

Silver's hooves were wrapped in bloody bandages "S-Sweetheart... I-I have b-bad news..."

Chapter 4
Gone for awhile
Trixie shut her bedroom door. "TabbyBelle come with me."

The brown filly looked at Trixie with confusion, "What do you mean?"

"I'm running away! I'm going to become a magician like I was destined too!" said Trixie.

The brown unicorn's face lit up, "You mean it? We're going to become magicians?"

"Yea!"

"Great! I'd love to come with you!" said Tabby.

Trixie gave her new friend a hoof-bump before digging a suitcase out of her closet. "I'll see you at midnight then."

'Got it." Tabby raced out of Trixie's bedroom, down the stairs, out the front door, and towards home so she could get packed."
Midnight
Trixie turned in her bed and stared at the clock. "Okay. It's go time." The blue filly whispered to herself before climbing down from her bed and quietly grabbing her suitcase. Trixie ran downstairs, using her magic to carry her luggage. "Maybe I should grab food." The young unicorn opened the fridge and levitated a few items of food out of the fridge and into a saddlebag. Then the filly walked over and grabbed one of the can openers. Trixie opened the cupboards with her magic and lifted cans of fruits, veggies, and other food products. The blue filly locked her bedroom door with her magic and then ran outside and waited for TabbyBelle.

The brown unicorn dragged her luggage out of the woods that surrounded Trixie's house.

"Hurry up Tabby! We're going to get caught!"

"Okay. Okay. My luggage is really heavy though!"

Trixie sighed, "Use your magic!"

Tabby put her ears down in shame, "My magic isn't strong enough to hold it..."

The blue filly looked at her friend and shook her head, "Fine." The unicorn used her magic to not only hold her own luggage, but her friend's stuff too. "I'll carry it. Now let's go!" Trixie raced off with her friend right behind her.

..........

"So um Trixie?" said TabbyBelle.

"Yeah?"

"How are we going to get onto the train?" Tabby asked as she looked up at the train.

Trixie smiled at the small unicorn, "You'll see but your going to have to hold the luggage.

"Um I-I'll try... But how?"

"See the car on the very back of the train?

"Yea?"

"That's mainly just storage. So I'm going to teleport us into the storage car and then we're going to travel all the way to Las Pegasus!"

"Yay!"

The large train's whistle blew a few times before the train slowly started to move forwards. "Okay Tabby! Hold the luggage!" The blue filly squeezed her eyes shut and clenched her teeth as her horn slowly glowed a bright pink. A few seconds later Trixie and Tabby, plus their luggage was in a dark room. "Wow... Isn't this just a lovely place to hide." Trixie's horn slightly lit up so the young fillies could see.

"Your really good at magic!"

"Thanks Tabby."

The blue filly smiled before opening on of the boxes. "Hey tabby look!"

"What is it!?" asked Tabby.

"It's a few boxes of clothes for shows and stuff!"

"Awesome! Maybe there will be a magician set for us!"

Trixie giggled, "I don't need a magician set I got one!" The blue unicorn put on the blue hat and cape that her father got for her when she was little.

"Oh yeah! I totally forgot about that!" Tabby giggled before digging in the first box. The brown unicorn frowned as she tossed the box aside. "Nothing in this one."

The blue unicorn grabbed another box and dug around in it. "Nothing in this one either." Trixie sighed. "There's one more maybe they'll be something in that one.

TabbyBelle nodded before opening the last box with her magic. The small unicorn lifted out a few uniforms, these bar things, and a light green cape that had yellow moons over it. "Look! It even comes with a similar hat!" Tabby used her magic to levitate the hat on her head. "How do I look?"

"Like a star!" said Trixie.

"Yay!" The brown filly smiled before grabbing the cape and wrapping it around her shoulders; "And it fits perfectly." Tabby smiled before looking out of the window.

"Do you see any signs?" asked Trixie.

"For what?"

"To see where we're at."

"Oh. Okay hold on let me see." Tabby looked out the window once more looking for something to indicate where they were.

"Do you see anything?"

"Um not that I can- wait..." The unicorn squinted to make out the sign, "Manehatten... 12 miles ahead."

"Manehatten, eh?" Trixie chuckled. "We're almost at Las Pegasus!"

Tabby smiled, "Hey Trix?"

"Yea?"

"Why was your mom crying yesterday?"

"Long Story." Trixie mumbled.

The blue unicorn frowned, "When I was just a filly my father and my mother got divorced. Pixie and I had to move to my father's house and over that time me and him have grown close. Well one day he mysteriously disappeared I was so heartbroken, but I tried my best to hide my feelings. We moved back with my mother, but I mostly stayed at my aunt's house every weekend..." Trixie's sentence trailed off.

"Yeah?"

"She taught me everything and now she's gone just like my dad. Now I have nopony because my mother hates me and so does my grandmother and Pixie could live without me!"

Tabby trotted over to her friend, "Trix. You have me."

The blue unicorn smiled as her eyes teared up. "I know Tabby. I know."

'Long train ride."

What happened to her? Why is she so untalented? Who is this worthless filly?

Trixie lifts her head and peers out of one of the windows in the train. "Tabby. Wake up." Trixie smiled and gently shook her friend's shoulder.

Tabby warily lifts her head off of her magician hat. "Wha-?" The brown filly slowly get up and stretches. "Where are we?"

The blue unicorn smiled, "We're in Las Pegasus!" Trixie pointed at a billboard that said, Las Pegasus, 2 miles "Tabby gather everything up! I'm going to have to use the transportation spell again."

The small brown unicorn nodded at her friend before scurrying away to grab there stuff.

Trixie sighed and looked out of the window and up into the night sky, "I hope your in a happier place, Auntie. Give uncle card this kiss for me, ok?" Trixie's voice cracked as she blew a kiss and led it up into the sky. The blue unicorn wiped away the salty tears and walked over to her friend and started to help her pack up.

It was about midnight by the time the train stopped at the train station. "Alright Tabby! You ready to go big?" Trixie closed her eyes and thought about transporting her and Tabby out of the train and into the train station.

"Let's go! Before they catch us!" Tabby used her magic to lift a few of the suitcases when they touched the cement.

Trixie nodded and lifted the rest of the luggage with her magic and ran after her brown friend.

"So Trixie. Where are we going to go?"

The blue filly looked at the ground as she ran. "I'm not sure yet..." Trixie looked up at TabbyBelle and smiled, "But I'll find out." Trixie smiled and than turned into an alley.

Tabby stopped beside the blue unicorn and looked at her with confusion, "Why are we stopping here?"

Trixie frowned for awhile before speaking to her friend, "Well I was think that we should lay low for now and when we're older we could buy a house."

The brown filly looked at Trixie and nodded. "I guess your right. But what about money? Food?"

The edges of Trixie's mouth curved up into a smile, "That's where are magic comes in!" Trixie looked around the alley and trots over to a box in the far corner of their new home. "We'll be the best magicians Las Pegasus has ever seen!" The blue unicorn slides the box over to Tabby and takes her magic book out her suitcase and lays it on top of the box and opens it. "TabbyBelle. This is where our fame starts!" The blue unicorn smiled and points at her book.

Back in Baltimare

Pixie walks upstairs and slowly opens her younger sister's bedroom door. "Trixie? It's breakfast!" The pink unicorn walked over to the form under the blankets. "Trixie?" Pixie quickly threw the blankets back and stumbled backwards as a basket bounces onto the floor. "Trixie!?" Pixie's eyes shrink in fear. "Mother! Mother come quickly!" Pixie raced downstairs and into her mom's room.

Silver shots out of bed when she heard Pixie's screams. "Pixie!? What's wrong!?"

The pink unicorn looked down at her hooves before speaking, "Trixie's..."

Silver looked at her daughter, her once soft gaze turned angry and dull. "What about her." Trixie's mother growled.

Pixie watched as a tear slid down her cheek and landed onto the floor. "She's gone."

Silver looked at her daughter with disbelief, "Pixie Lulamoon! This is not a joking matter!" Silver yelled at the saddened unicorn.

Pixie glared at her mother for the first time, "I'M NOT JOKING, MOTHER!" The pink unicorn screamed before running out of the house and into the woods that surrounded it.

Silver looked taken aback by her daughter's tone before rushing upstairs to check if Trixie was hiding. "Trixie! Where are you!?" Trixie's mother ran out of the house and raced after her older daughter. "Pixie get your flank back here right now!"

Back in Las Pegasus

"Gather around everypony! And watch The Great And Powerful Trixie do unbelievable tricks!" Tabby yelled as loud as she could to the ponies that swarmed the sidewalks.

The blue unicorn smiled before using her magic to make fireworks explode into beautiful colors and shapes. "That's right! Come this way to see amazing tricks!" TabbyBelle coaxed a few more ponies before joining Trixie.

"What's next? TabbyBelle looked at Trixie before being lifted by Trixie's magic.

"Just watch." Trixie used her magic to wrap a long black ribbon around her friend. Trixie squeezed the ribbon tightly around her friend when Tabby disappeared in mid-air. The ponies that crowded around the two young magicians gasp and stomped their hooves on the ground. Trixie grinned and lifted a box up and her brown friend trotted out from under it. "Tada!" Trixie and TabbyBelle smiled as a few ponies threw some bits into a bucket.

"Thank you everypony!" Trixie and Tabby bowed to their crowd and took the bucket and waved to them once more before the crowd dispersed. "Alright Tabby! Let's see how much we got today!" Trixie and TabbyBelle glance at each other before dumping the bucket, "2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19." Trixie smiled with pride. "19 bits for our first show!" TabbyBelle held her hoof up and Trixie hit it with her hoof, "Hoof Bump!" The two filly laughed before picking up their currency and putting it away.
