I quickly began heading to the nearest casino known as “The Lucky Ace”. There was a black spade hanging above the sign which held the name in a gleaming light. The inside was no different in embracing the black spade style, as there was black spade designs on the wall, floor, and even the game tables. I turned around and continued to walk down the street. Up ahead some random laughter caught my attention. I looked up and focused my eyes to see what was in the distance. There was a bar, probably near full, basically calling my name. I started to make my way towards the bar. Along the way I pulled out my wallet and looked at my cash. “A good $50 and a credit card, good for a few drinks....” I said to myself as I neared the door and pushed it open. >>> 17 ½ Drinks later <<< I gulped down another mouthful of my drink and put it down against the table, I turned to my left and looked at the person sitting beside me. I lifted my drink. “How YOU doin?” I asked with a smile. No answer. I lifted an eyebrow. “Hey I was talking to you!” I said pushing my finger against it causing the person to fall over. “Oh! Sorry!” I said as I turned away. Then someone sat next to me. “Are you gonna pick that up?” They asked. “Pick what up?” I asked. They pointed to the dead person on the ground. “They are dead....” I say back. They shake their head. “THEY are cardboard.” They said getting up and walking away. I turn and look at the ‘Cardboard’ “Oh.... sorry mate.” I said dropping an empty glass on the cardboard. “Have a drink.” I continued to try and drink down my last glass when someone poked me in the shoulder. “No! I haven't had enough leave me alone! My speech isn’t even....” I stopped and thought for a second. “.... wrong.” They poked me again, so I turned around with a death glare. “STAHP!” I yelled at them. Then I noticed no one was there, so I turned back around. “Glad they listened....” I said finishing my drink. I reached into my pocket to pull out my wallet. When I did I looked inside and saw I had no money left. “The fuck... I’ve been robbed...” I said as I turned around. “IT WAS THE POKER!” I yelled as I ran out of the bar. I looked around for that thieving man. I wanted my money back. I had a good 200 dollars when I went in there! I think I only spent like.... 10 dollars of it? I started walking down a street looking for any hint to who would be a poking prick. I thought I found him but it was a little kid so I let him go., but I almost blamed him.... he had that look ya know? He had that look to him... that look when.... that.... yeah.... what was I saying? I shook my head and kept walking, and walking.... and walking. Until I got really really bored and just wanted to go to bed. I began to turn around as I heard a bottle shatter. I nearly got scared out of a heart attack thinking it was a full bottle of booze. I ran towards the alleyway and was relieved to find the shattered bottle empty. I was about to pay it no more attention when a glimmer caught my eye. I looked back towards the shattered bottle where I saw the glimmer. I lightly moved some broken glass out of the way and found a small, blue, coin. I couldn't read what was on it for some reason, whoever made the coin is really bad at making clear pictures. I mean come on, it’s so damn blurry.... “Eh, maybe it’z a gud luck coooiin.” I said to myself as I put it in my pocket. I had no idea where I was so I decided to go to whatever was nearest me, there was a lot of things near me. So I decided to go to the biggest, brightest thing, there were a lot of those too. So I just decided to go to a random one, which pretty much just meant walking forward and just going wherever my nose would make impact first. Which happened to be nothing because as I neared a giant building, a set of double automatic doors slid open. “Whoa....” I said to myself in a whisper as I looked around. There were so many lights EVERYWHERE, meaning only one possible thing. I was in a casino. Normally I would be happy about this, but unfortunately I had no moniez left. That was when it hit me, the coin I had found in the alley. I ran up to one of the poker chip dealer guys and showed him the coin. “How many chips could I buy with... this coin?” I asked showing him it. He examined it closely then smiled pulling away. “Sir, go home, you're drunk.” He said laughing a bit. I have him a angry look and turned around, walking away quickly. I decided to just have a look around the casino, and at least see what I was missing out on. I turned a corner and followed a long hallway. When I reached the end I saw rows upon rows of empty slot machines. I was about to turn and walk away when I felt something very very cold in my hand. I opened my hand and saw the coin in my palm. I shrugged. “Whatever, good luck is good luck right?” I said to myself as I sat down at the slot machine. I put the coin in the machine and it’s arm came to life. I grabbed it and waited, waited, waited..... PULL. I threw down the lever on the machine, but to my surprise it continued spinning. At first I thought it may be broken... then I noticed the light. A dim blue light coming from the coin slot. I looked closer at the spinning images on the machine. Suddenly the left one stops on a picture of a moon with a strange looking image on it. I began to feel the machine vibrate. Then the second one stopped spinning and revealed the same image, causing the vibrating effect to increase. Finally the third one stops. A match on all three tiles, everything goes dead quiet. I look to my left then right to find out what just happened and what I just won, but nothing happened. I looked back and forth again and again still looking for an explanation. All of a sudden the machine roared to life again, going completely nuts. It started rumbling and the crank started moving by itself. The hard metal casing it was made out of started to collapse inward, and before I even had a chance to get up... Darkness. >>> Perspective: Luna -- Location: Equestria, Canterlot balcony <<< “Sister! Are you rising the moon yet? I need to lower the sun!” Yells my Sister Celestia from a different room. I roll my eyes. “Yes sis.... I’m doing it right now!” I say as I light up my horn and focus my power. I feel the cold run up my spine as I will the moon to take it’s place in the sky. I watch it as it begins to take the suns place. When I am finished I release my magic and smile at my night sky. I begin to turn away when I feel something unnatural in the air. I turn and look into the sky once more to see a star slowly moving towards the moon’s direction. Suddenly I see a spark of light and it changed direction, It begins heading straight towards the planet. On a crash course. I jump into action by jumping off the balcony and flying towards it. “Now how in Equestria does a star even make it past the atmosphere?” I said to myself as I increased my speed. I stopped when i realized how close it was getting, and it’s speed. I began to power up my magic as much as I could. Just a few moments before impact I released my full power to attempt to stop the object in mid flight. I guess you can say I succeeded.... one way or another. > One Way Ticket > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 2: One way ticket >> Current Perspective: Luna << I groaned as I sat up in the small crater that surrounded me but felt resistance as I tried to straighten myself up. As I looked down what I saw scared the living moonlight out of me. Laying sprawled out across the ground and me was a creature I have never before witnessed in my unnaturally long lifespan. The creature seemed to be covered in what I had to guess was some kind of clothing. It sported blue colored attire that seemed to be made of a material similar to denim and a jacket that felt very strange against my fur. The creature also donned another piece of dark clothing made of a strange material unfamiliar to me. Before I had the chance to inspect the creature in greater detail, I felt it become restless and shuffle around as it stood up, albeit shakily, and looked down at me with a look of shock. >> Current Perspective: Terry << As I stood up from the ground I tried to catch my balance as I reached out for anything to support me. Upon finding nothing I took in a deep breath and let out a large sigh while I ran my hand through my rough, jet black hair. After shaking my head a few times I noticed I had the worst. Fucking. Headache in the history of the universe. I was about to let out a groan before I look down at what I had been laying on. Below me sat what looked to be a large crater that meant I must have either fell asleep during a bomb disposal, or I fell from the damn sky. Either one seemed likely at this moment. But what really caught my attention, was the sky blue horse like.... thing, that seemed to be in the center of the crater. At first I thought to myself how could this horse have caused this much destruction. But my mind was cut short when something I DID NOT EXPECT happened. "Excuse me, but.... what are you?" The horse questioned me as my eyes shot open, the migraine temporarily forgotten. "HOLY SHIT IT SPOKE!" I yelled as my hands flew up in surprise as I took a step back. As I stepped back I had my foot snag on something and I fell flat on my ass as the horse stood up as a pair of wings stretched while it ran to my side. I noticed the horse also had a long horn sticking out the top of it's head which all boiled down to one possibility. "I drank myself into a coma...." I said as my hand made contact with my face producing a loud SLAP, "I was always told it woudl happen one day but I never believed them, NOPE NOT ME I WOULD NEVER OVER DRINK! I WOULD BE FINE I SAID! IT WOULD BE FUN I SAID!" I yelled at myself as I lay on my back, clutching my pounding head as I rolled back and forth. "No no no no... WAKE ME UP SOMEONE!" I felt something brush against me as I peeked open an eye and saw the pony sitting next to me with a caring look, at least I think it was caring, as it looked down at me. We sat in silence as I continued to be plagued by the pounding of what felt like a jackhammer making it's way through my head, until finally the horse spoke..... again. "Our name is Princess Luna, what is thy name?" The feminine horse asked me as she tilted her head a bit. "M-my n-name is T-Terry...." I replied taking in a deep breath and calming myself, "And I have one question.... WHERE THE FUCK AM I?" I yelled out as the creature recoiled in slight shock. "Why... you're in the land of Equestria of course!" She spoke with a wide smile before she had a moment of realization and looked up to the stars, "Oh but... you're not from around here.... are you?" She finished looking down at me with a growing amount of curiosity. I looked up at her with a, 'YOU DON'T FUCKING SAY?' Look as he looked at the apparent 'princess'. "Well what do YOU think?" I said loudly as I stumbled to my feet. "In the past minute and a half I have," I began as I brought my fingers up and began counting, "Apparently CRASHED into the ground whilst NOT DIEING and causing a massive crater, I've met a TALKING HORSE who is ALSO a fucking princess...." I said as I counted two before being interrupted. "Pony." I looked up at her in slight confusion, "...What?" "We are a pony, not a horse." She stated matter of factually. I waved my hand dismissively, "Whatever pish posh.... anyway..." I continued, clearing my throat and holding the fingers back up starting at two, "I feel like a wolverine is trying to make its way through my skull, also did I mention I fucking CRASHED HERE? I DON'T KNOW! MY HEAD HURTS!" Luna made her way quickly to me and reluctantly draped her wing around my shoulder as I looked to her noticing her teal eyes and translucent mane that sparkled with what looked like thousands of stars and galaxies. I was temporarily entranced by her before a pounding in the back of my head brought me back to the present. "It's quite alright, we shall help you find a place to rest while you regain thy strength." She spoke with a motherly voice. 'The pony.... is giving me a place to stay.... while I have a hangover....' I thought to myself as I slowly turned back to the eyes of the pony. "Heh... hehe...." I gave a few chuckles before my eyes quickly closed as I felt the floor rush to meet my face, no doubt adding more pain to my already terrible day.
