This is the tale of Roxas, a Pegasus Pony from Ponyville.
Meet Roxas, a Pegasus Pony from Ponyville. He has amnesia, and awakes one day in the Everfree Forest. He only knows his name, and he is a teen-aged pony. Completely struck in awe, he knows he must make it out of the forest to find out his past...and how he ended up with his cutie mark. After finding this all out, he needs to save his friendponies in an effort against the greatest evil in Equestria...
"I'm falling...falling...falling...!" My eyes beam up into the glare of the moon and I take a deep gasp. Where am I, why am I here, and how did I end up here? And what's this mark doing on me? I look around, seeing darkness, and hearing the noises of rustling bushes and sinister sounds. I walk over to a puddle where the moonlight shine heavenly onto it. In the reflection,I see my battered, teen-aged body. I'm black bodied, red winged, and white tertiary everything else. My wings and body ache and a few cuts and bruises run along my right side. I see a dense fog, and the outlines of spooky trees. No matter how hard I try, I just CAN'T remember. I try to flap my wings, but quickly feel a sharp pain in them and stop immediately. This all feels like a nightmare, or a curse. Either of the two, I know I need to keep moving. But it's hard to keep going when you don't even know your past, or your strengths...or your weaknesses.
I see in the distance, a tall, steep, rock with a cave in the top. Maybe if I could reach it, I can recollect my thoughts and rest. I take one step forward, and here a crushing noise and quickly notice a tree crashes down a ways back to my side. I run, no, I gallop as fast as I can towards the rock, heavily breathing. But the soreness is so unbearable, I can only go a short way before the pain makes me stop. I look around in confusion, seeing the same things, hearing the same things. But as soon as I look forward, there it is. Those beaming, menacing red eyes, the muscled stance, the dragon.
I remember it, but don't know how or in what way, but feel as though it's after me, or after someone close to me. It quickly jumps, and flies towards the cave. While taking off, it mutters "Roxas, such a pity you can't save her. But it's even worse you can't even save yourself." That teen-aged dragon was swift and confident in every movement, and every word. I yell to it "Who is she and who am I?" But it doesn't even acknowledge I said anything at all.
So I start going towards the rocky cave, into the unknown. I then notice a ribbon for participation at a summer camp's pegasus race. I put a hoof on it, and time and place stood still, and I remembered. The bullies, the name calling, the one who already had his cutie mark. But that wasn't important, but she was. That blue body, and rainbow mane. What is her name? And is she the one I'm saving? I can't remember her name, but I do remember the camp, the race, and her.
I snap back to reality, and I know that this has to be a clue. I go even faster towards the cave. I try once again for my wings to work, but again the pain hits me. I go down towards a rugged, barely used path towards the cave, and a winding road going up follows. On the ground, I notice a ripped piece of cloth. It reads "Apple Farm" I go to reach for it, and on contact, again I go into a sense of a flashback.
Ponyville. The Apple Farm was in Ponyville, and up above the farm, there she was again. She was frolicking through the air, and her mane was still as colorful as before. She looked down towards the barn, and so did I,. We both saw a brown pony carrying baskets of apples. Applejack. Applejack was the brown pony's name. But I still can't remember her name. And again the world quickly settles back in and a sense of life rushes through me again after that.
I reach the mouth of the cave. and yell "Who are you, and what do you want with her!?" I walk in a cautiously pace, making sure to be perceptive and aware of everything. Suddenly, that bland and dark voice replies "So you do remember her. Well it is time to stop her before she can use her loyalty against us."
I reply "Wait, use it against us?"
It strikes back "Remember, Nightmare Moon, our boss. We have to stop a select few of ponies before they can reach the state to where they can stop us. Here, does this ring any bells?"
The dragon peacefully hands me a note:
Enki, take Roxas with you to the town of Ponyville. I need you both to stop these ponies before they can use harmony against me, against us[ so we may rule Equestria! >Applejack >Pinkie Pie >Rarity >Fluttershy >Twilight Sparkle
And after Fluttershy, there is a rip in the bottom of the paper. I say "So I'm to help you stop these 5 ponies?"
He says back quickly, a little enraged "These six ponies you mean."
I say "There's only 5 on the paper."
"The sixth one is her. We are to get rid of her first because she is the strongest and most competitive one. But no, you had to develop a connection with her. And that is why you're here. We were going to snatch her in her sleep, but you hit me in the head and you put her back in her house. We fought in the night sky, and my air superiority bested yours. I went a little too hard and roughed you up in the head. You got that cutie mark strangely for the fact you set her back in the house and attacked me. Now tell me, do you want Equestria, or her?" He says straight forwardly.
I then mutter "Rainbow Dash." And a surge of happiness and a sense of being a defender struck me. I knew, that I didn't know how much she, how much Equestria needed me right now. I knew I need to save Rainbow Dash, I mean after all, my cutie mark was given to me for either being a defender of friends or being a protector. Friends. Yes, defender of friends. Rainbow Dash was... a friend. After thinking this all out, I say "I'd choose Equestria. An Equestria in harmony!" and I charge at the dragon
He smiles and says "Foolish mistake, Roxas."And he whips his tail at me. He then takes flight and dashes at me. I duck, and turn towards out of the cave. He is going out the woods. I knew I needed to fly. I spread my wings, and flew, I dodn't even care about the pain. I quickly caught up with him and shrugged him to the side. I then hoofed him in the sides and the head. He then goes down a bit, almost crashing to the ground. In pain, he quickly kicks me towards the ground with all his strength, I go smashing into the mud, and he goes flying off in pain towards another direction, he can barely fly.
I then lay there, pain everywhere in my body, and I quickly pass out.
"Ahhh. Look at you.All roughed up, and what not"
I get the feeling I'm being lifted and carried somewhere. I'm in too much pain to react, and can only see faintly. But what I do see is the bright morning sunshine and a lightened up, and lively forest setting. And I see I'm approaching a small cabin. I close my eyes again, and try to fight off the pain the best I can. I get places onto a bed and see...not a pony...a zebra.
I open my eyes and say "Who are you, where am I?"
"Ohhh. Look who finally awakened. All wounded up, and in pain shaken. My name is Zecora, and you are in my cabin in the Everfree Forest. I saw you knocked out when I woke up and decided to help. Here, drink this, and let me fix you up."
I agree in nods and I drink a purple, syrup of a drink. My insides feel rejuvinated, and when she put those bandages and medicals on me, I feel hurt still, but have a sense of recovery. I then close my eyes again, saying "Wake me up at noon, I need some rest. Thank you, Zecora. I'm Roxas." She nods and I fall asleep. All I can vision, and dream about, is Rainbow Dash, and how I can save her.
"Wake up Roxas, it be noon. You will then meet your friends very soon." I hear as a open my eyes and see Zecora opening the door. "Follow me to Ponyville. I'm sure you will." I yawn and stretch,my muscles don't hurt no more, and my cuts and bruises have faded and barely have any pain. She points and says "Down that trail takes you back. And make sure your visits here do not lack." I say "Thank you Zecora, for everything. Now I'll find out who I really am. I'll visit you soon. I promise." I then go down the trail, looking back over my shoulder to see Zecora waving. I smile back.
I see a clearing above, and I fly above the treetops. I see it. I enter that mode of standstill and I remember. It's Ponyville, this is... home. Rainbow Dash... she's... here. I snap out of it and fly toward the lovely town a few minutes away. The sun is at its peak, and it is a nice temperature outside. A perfect day for pony fun, and no sign of the dragon or disaster anywhere.
I land in what appears to be an apple orchard. I see a barn and a red stallion up on a hill. I approach the pony and say "Do you live here?". He replies "Eeyhup." I say back "Well do you know...Rainbow Dash, If you do... where is she?" To my surprise, he says "Eeyhup" and points up. I turn my head up to a cloud. There she is... Rainbow Dash. She's snoozing on a cloud above a bakery. I fly up there.
"Ra- Rainbow... Dash?" I say as I poke her
"Yea yea what do you want Roxas." she says in a quiet voice. Immidiately, she must have realized what she said, glared up at me, and yelled "ROXAS! It's you! Where have you been! You saved me!"
"I woke up in Everfree Forest. I didn't know ANYTHING except my name and my age, like absolutely nothing else. Then this dragon fought me, and I remembered you and your friends. We both hurt each other, I again knocked out in the forest and he flew away. This lady Zecora saved me and helped me out. I still don't know much to be honest."
"That dragon is still around? Good thing he's not here. But you got that when you saved me of course. In fact you saved all of Ponyville from Nightmare Moon's plot. And I still owe you for saving me." and she kisses me and blushes.
"Well... no problem Dash." I say as I smile and blush. "Can you help me remember my past, my friends, my purpose."
"Silly, your purpose is to protect friends, don't you see your mark. You're really heroic."
"Well can you help me with my friends and my past?"
"Sure, I'll take you down to Applejack now."
We takeoff, and she leads me to the orchards where I was just at. I see a brown pony with a hat and golden hair. I say "Applejack..." quietly, and Dash turns to me and says "So you do know her." I say "No, I just know her name."
"Dash, who's that with y---. Roxas!? I thought that dragon gobbled you up!"
"Roxas still hasn't recovered from the dragon,but he bought us some time from Nightmare Moon nd the dragon. He doesn't know his friends or his past. We need to help him, and then we can stop Nightmare Moon's good for nothing plan."
"Well well, alrighty then, meet me at Rarity's after I get done getting these apples. Why don't you show Roxas Pinkie Pie?"
"Pinkie Pie..." I say to myself.
"Come on Roxas, time to meet the funniest, most partiest pony in all of Equestria!"
She leads me to the bakery where her cloud was over. The sweet smell of cake and cupcakes fill the air, and treats of all assortments can be seen. I then see a pink pony approach.
"Hi Dash! Who's th--. Roxas!? HI ROXAS!" she says
"Roxas needs help remembering his past, we need to help him. Meet us at Rarity's at 2 p.m."
"Okie dokie dashie pokie. Heehee. Here Roxas, have a cupcake!" Pinkie says
"Thanks...Pinkie Pie." I say as I eat the delicious cupcake with sweet icing.
"Roxas, follow me to the meadow, you still need to see Fluttershy."
We head towards a beautiful, green meadow. The animals are cheerful and playful. The flowers can be seen and smelt a while away, and is the most refreshing place I've been. I see a yellow pony talking to some rabbits. Fluttershy..." I say as I approach her.
"Roxas...A-- Are you okay?" she calmly says
"Yes Fluttershy, I just need some help" I say
"You see Fluttershy, Roxas here needs us to help him remember stuff, and then we can take on Nightmare Moon! Catch you later at Rarity's in an hour!" Dash says in a loud voice.
"Oh... Okay Dash, I'll be there." Fluttershy says, still calm as before.
"Last one to that treehouse library is a rotten parasprite!" Dash says
"Oh you're ON!" I say back
We both takeoff on our wings towards the treehouse in Ponyville. We go around each other up and over eachother. It is very playful, and very...fun. Dash's mane and her personality... we are more than friends I realize. We spin, loop, clear clouds, and laugh the whole way there.
"FIRST!" we both say, out of breath
"I guess we tied." I say
"Oh you wait, I'll get you one day, I mean you are the fastest flyer, remember summer camp?"
"No sadly. I don't." I say
"Look at your ribbon! You got first place in the summer camp fly-off tournament."
I then look at the other side of the ribbon, and it reads for 1st place. I smile at her, and we head inside. I see a dragon... Spike. The books are on the ground, ready to be sorted. And there are writing materials on a desk near stairs going up.
"Did you catch the bad dragon, huh? Huh?!" Spike says
"No...I need some help though." I say
"Well with what Roxas? You're super awesome, what would you need help with?"
"I can't remember any memories, and a while ago I couldn't remember anypony."
"Spike who's at the do-- Roxas, you're back. Did you stop Dagon the dragon?" says Twilight
"Dagon... Who's Dagon?"
"Come on Twilight, his memories 20% lower than Applejack's harvest when nobody does it!" Dash says
"Roxas, do you remember anything?" Twilight says
"No... not really. I got knocked out and left in Everfree Forest,I couldn't remember anything."
"So you have amnesia." Twilight says
"Amnee-what?" Dash says
"It's when you can't remember anything." says Twilight
"I guess I have amnesia then... Can you guys help me get my memory back, and we can stop Nightmare Moon?" I say
"And Dagon, the dragon you were fighting." Twilight says
"We're going to Rarity's come on Twilight." says Dash
We head to a botique shop, it's near the bakery we were at. I tell Twilight the whole story. Me and Dash play with each other. It's weird, when something happened, I would flashback to experiencing it. But this feeling of... fun... I never felt this way before. And with Hearts & Hooves Day soon, I have a strange feeling I want Dash as my very special somepony. We arrive at the shop, and Twilight and Dash explain my story to...Rarity. Yes, that's her name.
"Well that Dagon is just RUDE!" says Rarity "Are you okay Roxie?"
"Yea...I guess, I just need help remembering stuff. But I know for sure all you ponies...and baby dragon, here are my...friends. And I need to help you guys stop Nightmare Moon, and protect you ponies. But I want to know my past."
So there we were, us 7 in Rarity's boutique. There were fabulous and luxurious dresses all around on display and a fancy sewing machine on a table. "Well let's start from my beginning... where do I come from, where are my parents?" I ask. They all are dead quiet and look a bit down and sad. "What's wrong!?" I ask.
"Your parents..." says Fluttershy
"Your parents are... in another land, not of Equestria." Rainbow Dash says
"You see, when we were fillies, me, you, and Dash got lost in a place called Earth. There lives humans, and us 3 got lost in one of their cities. I miss that... I was raised by a good owner and then Celestia brought us back to Equestria." says Twilight
Rainbow Dash at this point was in tears and completely depressed and crying her eyes out. She pulls out a picture... there's a... human, yes a human... and her as a filly. "That.... that was my daddy..." Dash says while crying even more now. "He... was the best daddy you could ask for..." she says.
"Wait. So we were raised by... humans?" I ask
"Yes Roxas, that though actually makes us 3 stronger than most ponies. We were raised very well. You actually protected your owner from that dragon, Dagon too. You are a GREAT fighter Roxas, you just need to remember!"
"Protector of friends and loved ones..." I say quietly
"What do you mean Roxas?" asks Twilight
"I think that's what my cutie mark stands for, I mean I got it after saving Dash from Dagon. And apparently I protected more ponies then I thought."
With Dash still crying, she starts getting back to normal after 10 minutes or so. We head towards the Everfree Forest. We go through a long series of trails, and reach an old campsite. I enter that flashback mode, and remember it now. Summer Camp, I was the quiet pony because I didn't have a normal past. I remember the 2 bullies picking on Fluttershy and Dash. And I remember bucking them into the mud. That's how I first met Dashie. She gave me a hug, and went off to the girl side of camp.
"Roxas, this is how you met Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Everfree Summer Camp." says Twilight
"Yea, I just remembered it all.... the bullies."
"See that ribbon Roxas? You got 1st place in the pegasus race. I also won a race, but it was just with them two bullies. Everypony says we're the fastest pegasus ponies in all Equestria. You even pulled off a sonic rainboom, and so did I" says Dash
"Wow... So I am good at flying and protecting."
"We plan on camping here tonight Roxas, why don't you stay?" says Applejack
"I need to visit Zecora" I reply
"ZECORA?!" they all yell
"What's wrong with her? She saved me." I say in confusion
"She's an evil enchantress, who does evil dances!" says Pinkie Pie
"Regardless what you guys think, I'm going." I say
"Be careful Roxas. These animals out here are dangerous and hard to deal with." Fluttershy says
"I'll be fine. You guys set up, I'll be back." I say
I fly up above the trees, the skyline is my eyeline. It all feels...weird, learning my past and all. And how I can now live my life again and hope, it's like this is my inception, I'm writing my dreams. I fly over to where Zecora's hut was. I look at that cave again. Still no sign of Dagon or Nightmare Moon. I land in front of the shack, but it's too quiet. I knock, no reply. I barge in, and there's a note on the wall:
"Ahh Roxas. You traitor! You will be punished, and so will your friends. Dagon captured Zecora. If you pledge your alliegence with my again, I will spare Zecora and your friends. But if not... I will take her. Now come, meet me in the gemstone mine all the way past the Everfree Forest.

I fly back as quick as I can back to camp. It is sundown as I arrive. I am completely shaken and angry. "Zecora...they... took Zecora!" I say, out of breath.
"Who took Zecora?" says Twilight
"Dagon and Nightmare Moon. We have to save her from the gemstone mines past Everfree Forest. If you don't want to come, fine. But Zecora deserves to be saved, because she's a friend." I say
"But... it's scary out there." says Fluttershy
"Ain't no problem sugarcube, we'll be A Okay,we have Roxas...and me." says Applejack
"You have all of us, Roxas. Let's start moving, we can get to the base of the cave and camp there tonight. Let's get moving." says Twilight
We walk towards the cave. I still remember that night, how messed up and confused I was. But now, I'm here with my friends again, and I know everything I need to know. Now if I save Zecora, we can be at peace, and I can live my life. Time passes, and the lovely sunset turns into a dark sky, and we reach the base of the summit.
"Tomorrow we'll climb up, go across the valley, and into the gemstone mine. Get your rest people." says Twilight
"It sure is... spooky out here." says Fluttershy
"Come on Fluttershy, don't be scared, have FUN! Think of cupcakes and animals and parties and FUN!" says Pinkie Pie
"Roxas. When they go to sleep, meet me at the cave." whispers Dash
I nod and set up my tent and bed. By now, the stars are bright, the moon glows onto the site, and it feels better now that friends are with me. All the while, I'm wondering what Dashie could possibly want to say or do that does not include everypony else. I pretend to sleep. Fluttershy, then Applejack are the first to sleep. Then Twilight, but Pinkie is still full of energy, singing, dancing, and partying. She eventually wears herself out and goes to bed. Rarity is in her magnificent tent, fit for Princess Celstia, all the way here, all you heard was "Are we there yet" or "My feet hurt" from her. But it's okay, she's classy, and isn't use to this.
Finally, everypony except me and Dash are asleep. I sneak out the halfway opened tent door I left like that on purpose, and see Dash. She nudges her head towards the cave, and flies. I quickly catch up, and go alongside her.
"What do you want Dashie?"
"You'll see. I bet you won't remember until you see, only me and you know about it." She says
We arrive at the cave, and she pulls out a party light from Pinkie's bag. We head deep into the cave, and I enter flashback mode. I remember us 2 sneaking out one night at camp and going up into here, but I can't remember what we did. She then motions towards a section of the wall. And now I remember, and see it now. Our drawings of each other. But there's something different this time... she added a star from her mouth of my drawing of her, into my mouth of me drawn by her. She blushes and looks into my eyes. I see that same rock we used on the ground. Without hesitation, I add a star from my mouth to hers. I look back to her, and smile.
"Roxas, you were always the awesomest pony around." she says
"I think you are though, I mean look at you, you're cute, nice, and cool!"
"But you're 20% cooler though." she says back
"But you're a better racer."
"You beat my by 10 seconds flat" she says
"Oh..." I say, and before I finish, she covers my mouth and says "Shhh"
She kisses me, and I kiss back. It lasts for a short while, but seems like an eternity. We both gaze into each others eyes, blushing, and smiling.
"That was... great Roxas" she says, smiling
"It was amazing you mean" I say
"Wanna go for a fly around?" she says competitively
"You got it, first one from Zecora's and back to the cave wins" I say
"3" "2" "1" "GO!"
We takeoff, and go towards Zecora's. We wind around each other, side to side, flank to flank. We laugh and smile the way there, it was... fun. Iv'e never felt this much... fun and joy before, or that much I can remember. But I think I would remember that, so this is the funnest Iv'e had. We reach Zecora's and turn around. Neck and neck, we continue our flight back to the cave.
"You're gonna be in the dust!" I yell
"Uh-huh, sure" she laughs
I go even faster than my limit,and I feel a mass of energy in me. I glow, and go super fast. She catches up and does the same. We explode into a colorful rainbow. Sonic rainboom. But this is different. Our 2 rainbooms clash into 1 mega rainboom, and we curl around eachother, flank to flank, and we go up in the sky in loops, corkscrews, and dips. We are going faster than ever, and we make it to the cave in no time. We land right next to each other on the summit path.
"That. Was AWESOME!" she exclaims
"That was super awesome, you mean!" i say back
"We are the first ponies in centuries to do a mega rainboom, 2 rainbooms mixed into 1."
"I'm glad it was us 2." I say
"Me too, Roxie" She says back
She kisses me again, and I hold her, and kiss her back. This was definently the best day of my life. "Dashie you a blessing and my best ponyfriend" I say
"Aww" she says and I continue to hold her. We see shooting stars shoot across the ridgeline of the sky.
"Make a wish" I say
"I wish. I wish we are together forever. Be it together in person, or together in heart. I always want to be with you. If I'm not there, remember I'm still here." she says, pointing to my chest.
"I wish the same thing, Dashie" I smile and say back
"Promise?" she says
"I promise."
"Here. I wanted to give this to you at camp, but I didn't think you like me." she calmly says, handing over a star-shaped charm with a picture of us 2 hugging each other at camp.
"I'll hold on to it forever." I say
Just as I say that, I see those red eyes, swoop down, and tackle Dash.
"So the traitor has a very special somepony. She will make a great servant for Nightmare Moon." Dagon hisses
"HELP ROXAS! HELP!" Rainbow Dash screams
"Dagon, let her go!" I exclaim
"You're funny Roxas. Well be off now. Save her... if you can. Hahahaha!" he laughs
"Roxas! Keep that promise!" Dash says
"I will!" I yell, and chase after Dagon.
"Oh not this time Roxas!" Dagon says, and a dark figure approaches me, full speed, laughing.
"It's... it's you...."
"It is I, Nightmare Moon! You'll never see her or your friend ever again!" Nightmare Moon says
Before I can say a word, she charges me, and uses magic to slam me down the summit. I hit my head on a rock, and I fade out of reality.
I'm alone... It's so dark... so cold. Where am I? What am I in? I pop my little filly head out of a cardboard box, only peeping my head out a bit to where I can see. I see... humans. But this place is so new... so foreign. I don't belong here. Flashing lights, moving things on wheels, and buildings towering the streets. It's really cold, and night time out. I hope somebody saves me, or at least gives me a clue.
I look down the alley to find a man walking down the sidewalk and find a similar box like mine. But inside... there she is. She looks just as cold and confused as I am. Her blue body and rainbow mane. How did us ponies ens up with humans? Uh-oh, he's picking her up and putting her in his coat. He's leaving now. I hope she'll be okay...
I see a tall, white man. He is walking down the alley in a black coat and black jeans. He has a hat that reads "Baltimore Orioles" on it with a picture off an oriole. He looks in total awe and amazement. I'm so scared... I quickly lower myself back in and close my eyes, shivering from the cold wind. He opens the lid, and our eyes lock.
"You... you can't be real. And if you are... No this is crazy..." the man says as he's wiping his eyes. He bends down and picks me up, I kick a bit, but am too weak from the cold.
"You... are real. Well you certainly don't belong here. This part of the city... Cherry Hill... it's too dangerous for a filly like you."
I fall asleep in his arms. I'm not sure whether to be scared, or accepting the fact he might help me. I awake, in the mornings glow. The TV is on, a guy with a bat his swinging at white balls, and he runs to these corners.
"You're awake. I hope you're okay. I just found out, you're not the only filly lost. I want you to meet... Rainbow Dash."
I ponder on the name for a while as we head through a few city blocks in one of his things that has wheels. We pull up to an apartment building near some water. He takes me to the roof, where I see her. It's the same filly I saw before... Rainbow Dash.
"So this one... Roxas. He's lost too." the other man says
"Yup. And I see you have Rainbow Dash. We need to find out how to help them."
Suddenly, the man that brought me here answers his phone: "This is Alex from Swisher Hygiene, how can I help you. Uh-huh. Wait, you found a filly too? This is all to weird. Dude Ryan, come to Derrik's apartment pronto. Yeah, we have Roxas and Rainbow Dash, who do you have? Twilight Sparkle? Be here in 10 minutes, okay."
He puts away the thing in his pocket, and says "Why don't you and Dashie play for a bit, you have a friend on the way."
They leave back downstairs, and me and Dashie gaze at each other. "H--- Hi...." I say
"Hi" she says back
"I'm Roxas, who are you?"
"I'm Rainbow Dash."
After that, we talked about how to go home, and how to deal with it for now. Then we decided to play, and we got along great, shared a few smiles, and a few laughs. Suddenly, a purple filly comes up.
"Who are you" asks Dash
"I--- My.... My name is Twilight Sparkle."
"Hi Twilight, want to play tag with us?" I ask
"S--- Sure.... I mean, okay... I guess." Twilight says
Months go by, as Twilight, Dash, and I live with our owners Ryan, Derrik, and Alex. We become the bestest of friends, and me and Dashie especially connect. Years go by, 15 years to be exact. That was the day... the saddest day... ever.
"You 3 know well that these ponies belong in my kingom!" Princess Celestia says
""But we raised them" says Alex
"Daddy! I don't want to leave you!" cries Dash
"Enough, these ponies are coming back to Equestria, and that's final!"
"Fine. I love you Dashie! I'll never forget you! Here's a picture, cherish it forever, promise? I love you!" Derrik cries out to Dash
"Bye Daddy! I love you!" Dash says back as she grabs the picture.
"DAD! I never want to leave you!" I say to Alex
"Here son. I love you, hold onto this forever. Maybe, just maybe one day, you'll come back with a filly of your own. Now go son, live the life you deserve." Alex says
"Oh... Okay dad, I'll be strong, for you! I'll be back, you just wait!"
"Take this with you, goodbye son." Alex says as he hands me a Oriole's Basesball frommy very first Baseball game, I caught a foul ball.
"Bye daddy..." I say as I grab the ball, in tears
"Bye dad. I'll grow up to be the BEST unicorn in Equestria. I'll be super smart, and I'll come back one day, I promise!" Twilight says with confidence
"Goodbye Twilight. I hope I see you again." Ryan says to her.
Then Celestia uses magic and pops us up in Ponyville.
Flash forward a couple months. Us 3 were a close set of friends through this time.
"Today class, we'll be learning about cutie marks. A pony gets their cutie mark when they find their true purpose."
"I wonder what mine will be" says Dash
Same here" me and Twilight reply.
Twilight got hers when she passes her HUGE exam. Dashie got hers at Everfree Summer Camp when she did a sonic rainboom, I did a rainboom also, but didn't get a cutie mark. Then one day, Nightmare Moon promised me grand rewards if I helped her. But as soon as I found out she wanted to harm Dashie and Twilight, I attacked Dagon, and betrayed Moon.
I immidiately got my cutie mark, and chased after the dragon Next thing I know I battle Dagon in Everfree Forest, and get knocked out, forgetting everything.
I wake up, gasping for air. Was that all a dream, or a flashback of my whole life I just experienced? Now I remember everything. I now know my whole past and my purpose. I need to save Dash and Zecora. I need to stop Dagon and Nightmare Moon. Equestria needs me to protect, not only the average ponies, but specifically these 6 ponies of harmony. I open my eyes,
"Roxas. Are you okay? Where's Dash?" says Twilight
"They took Dash! I need to save her! Come on! Let's go!" I yell
"Roxas, slow your roll. What happened last night."
"Me and Dash decided to go for a night fly, but Dagon took her away. Dagon knocked me out again, but now I remember. The city, our childhood, our return to Equestria...evreything!"
"That's great Roxas. We'll head there right now!" Twilight says
"But first... WHO WANTS CUPCAKES?" yells Pinkie Pie
"Ahhh I hope today's not going to be as difficult." says Rarity
"Well in tarnations, Dagon is one clever fella." says Applejack
With Fluttershy done talking to animals, and all of us done eating, we set out up the summit.
We climb up to the top. I quickly run off inside. I go to me and Dashie's drawing. I put a heart around us. And I write down "I hope we're together forever, wherever we are, we're always in each others hearts. I promise." I run back outside and meet the gang. Applejack kicks over a tree closing a gap between us, and a ridge that leads to the gemstone mine.
"We're going on an adventure today Everybody yell hooray We're going somewhere spooky And the people there are cooky But we are the bestest friends And friendship never ends!" sings Pinkie Pie the way there.
Everybody joins in the song enthusiastically at first, and eventually Rarity catches on. After a few hours of tirelessly walking, we reach the mouth of the cave.
"BOO!" Pinkie yells into the cave, and laughs.
"It... It looks scary in there." says Fluttershy
"Ain't no big deal, you got us." says Applejack
Twilight uses her horn as a light and we go through the cave. We see fire gems, and all other sorts of gems everywhere. Nopony has been in here for a looong time. I hear "Let me go... you jerk!" It's Dash, she must be talking to Dagon. I sprint forward, and the gang follows. We see Dagon and Nightmare Moon with Zecora and Rainbow Dash tied up.
"You be a fool. We rock you drool." says Zecora
"Fight me like a man!" yells Dash
I fly head first into Dagon, sending him flying backwards. He laughs. Nightmare Moon jumps towards the rest of the gang,and makes a field blocking them from me and Dagon. With me and Dagon locked in this field, we duke it out. I go for tackles and kicks. He tail swipes me to the ground. I grab his leg, flip him, and stomp on him. Pinkie sets down a whoopie cushion and Nightmare Moon steps on it.
On the other side, I see Applejack bucking at Nightmare Moon. Twilight is flinging rocks at her with magic. Fluttershy and Rarity are holding each other in fear. I decide to cheap shot Dagon in the face, and sprint for dash. I bite onto the rope, and it rips. It becomes loose enough to where she can snap it off. Dagon then tackles me from the back. He has me totally locked and restrained.
Seeing Twilight get hurled by Nightmare Moon, and Applejack holding onto Nightmare Moon, the battle looks lost. He is choking me, and I can't breathe. Then, Dashie comes and pushes him off me. She flies towards the ceiling, and flies fast downward towards Dagon. She strikes him in the chest, allowing me time to get up. We both tackle him to the ground, and tangle him up in rope. I free Zecora, and she makes a makeshift sleeping salt, and puts Dagon to sleep.
Nightmare Moon focuses her attention on us two, and charges at us. We fly up in avoidance.
"You think you 2 can beat ME?" she says
Without a word me and Dash glance at each other and we fly in the air. We go fast, faster, and then -BOOM-. We mega rainboom right into Nightmare Moon's left side. The boom starts making rocks fall from the ceiling, and Nightmare Moon is badly hurt from it. Then Applejack bucks her into the wall. Nightmare Moon swoops towards Dagon, and teleports herself out of the cave. She has a big bruise on her side, and she looks beyond her pain threshold.
"In here we cannot stay. We must get out, run away!" yells Zecora.
Me and Dash pick up Rarity and Fluttershy, and fly out the cave, Zecora, Applejack, Pinkie, and Zecora are right behind. We hear the collapse of rocks and we make it out just in time. It is sunset again, and we all are heavily breathing outside the mine. Me and Dash are on the ground, gasping for air, from all the physical strain put on us.
"I...hope Nightmare Moon... won't be causing problems...anytime soon." I manage to say
"Great job Roxas and Rainbow Dash! That move hasn't been used in centuries! Wait until I write to Princess Celestia about this venture." says Twilight
"Thank you Roxas very much, why not all of us stop at my hut, and eat some brunch?" Zecora says
"Wait, you're not evil?" Pinkie says
"Of course not, I told you." I say
"Our dearest apologies, Zecora. Nice design by the way, very fashionable." says Rarity
We head back the way we came, and we finally reach Zecora's. We eat and drink and rest.
"Thanks Roxas." Dash says to me smiling.
"I have to show you something, Dashie." I say.
I lead her to the cave where we were before.
"What is it Roxas?" she asks
"Look." I say
She stands there, with the biggest smile a pony can have on her face. She comes over and hugs me. We kiss, and we both are happy. I pull out the charm she gave me, and whisper in her ear "See, I told you I promise." She gets even happier. She adds finishing details to our drawing, and we head back to Zecora's. There is a knock at the door.
"Twilight. Twilight?" a familiar voice says
"Princess Celestia!?" Twilight replies
The door opens, and Princess Celestia is standing with grace at the door, with a shiny medallion.
"Roxas. This here... is for you."
She hands me a medallion that reads "Roxas, Hero of Equestria"
"It is the greatest award a pony can recieve." She says
"No... the greatest reward for me... oh nevermind."
"No tell me Roxas. You can tell me anything."
"Well, I didn't, nor could I do it all alone, I had these guys' help all the way."
"What are you getting at Roxas?"
"Can Twilight, Dash, and I go and see... our parents?" I ask firmly
She stands there. She looks as though she is not sure to be angry and reject it, or allow us to see our parents. I have the highest hopes I ever had.
"Perhaps, I was actually going to give you this also. You left it in Ponyville by accident when you chased after Dagon. I think you all deserve medallions, AND you 3, next week, you will go back to Baltimore, rules will apply, and will be discussed soon. But not tonight, tonight there is a celebration in Canterlot for you heroes." she says, and she hands me the Oriole's Baseball
"THANK YOU CELESTIA!" I yell "I never, never ever EVER want to lose this again!"
"We get to see our parents again!" Twilight and Dashie say together in pure joy
"Wait. Can Zecora get one too? She helped me more than you could imagine Celestia." I say
"Sure, you coming Zecora?" Celestia asks
"Oh it was nothing. But this honor is something. With you I will go, because I know Roxas won't take a no." she says, laughing
"We get to PARTY!" yells Pinkie
"Oh and Roxas, You and Rainbow Dash's mega rainboom is extraordinary! Truly breathtaking. I also have front row seats for a Wonderbolts show for you and Rainbow Dash... WITH meet and greet afterwards!" Celestia says
"OH WOW! We get to see The Wonderbolts!" Dash says in happiness
"Awesome!" I say
We all head to Canterlot, dressed up in suits and dresses, handmade from Rarity of course. There is a breathtaking firework display. Applejack and Big Mac are selling apples, Fluttershy is talking to animals, Pinkie Pie is, well, being Pinkie Pie, Rarity is showing off her fashion designs, and Twilight is reading in the library. Me and Dash are sitting with eachother on the lawn. We kiss again, as the glow of fireworks illuminate our faces.
Everybody heads to the lawn for a on the house Wonderbolts show, and this isn't even the show we have tickets for either. The loop, corkscrew, and turn in harmony, just as me and Dash did.
"Hey Dash, you want to give the crowd a mega rainboom?"
"Aren't we worn out enough. Eh, why not?"
We get up and fly into the airspace. The Wonderbolts step aside, we do our own flips, corkscrews, and loops, flank by flank. But then, we mega rainboom across the sky, and the audience goes absolutely ballistic! Even the mouths of The Wonderbolts were wide open in shear amazement. The party goes on, and everybody has fun. This ain't no Galloping Galla, this is better.
"Bye everypony" me and Dashie tell the gang as we head home. Me and her gracefully fly to her place. I kiss her goodnight, and say "I'll see you tomorrow, but I'm still right here with you for the night." I say as I point to her chest. She kisses back and goes inside her cloud house.
I fly into my treehouse in the meadow. I place my football down on my display case, along with my ribbon and medallion. But what's this? A picture of Twilight, Dashie, and I with Ryan, Derrik, and my dad? I pick it up and a note that reads: "Message Sent Courtesy of Princess Celestia. From: Alex
Hi Roxas. I just got news you're coming back for a visit. I cried tears of joy when I found out. I'm so glad I'm seeing my son again. I love you son. I'll see you in a week, and why don't you bring me back an item from Ponyville? Goodbye son, and awesome job saving Equestria.

I cry tears of joy and hold onto the ball and the picture all night long. No worries of losing my memories or my friends. I'm back, and I'm back for good. It feels good to be Roxas.

For a sneak peak description of it, Roxas, Twilight Sparkle, and Rainbow Dash return to Baltimore City, Maryland. They return to their fathers that raised them for 15 years.
